i bought the large longchamp bag to be my diaper bag, this organizer fits perfectly in there. it is also very light so it does not add additional weight all the baby stuff i have to carry.

the compartments are very well designed and the sizes fit all of the stuff i have to bring along.

I returned it. I found out that the insert will fit larger bags good, but might stick out from open medium size ones. I didn't like that the whole insert is all black, so it was hard to find small objects. Also the pockets are too deep.

That's right, I liked this laptop backpack/case so much that when the first one was stolen last month, I bought an identical replacement. I'm a 66-year old woman who went back to grad school last year and realized that I needed something other than the canvas bookbag we used "back in the day." For one thing, we didn't have laptops forty-five years ago and nobody used a backpack except for camping & hiking. So not only was I looking for something functional, but also something "like the other kids had." But my tastes have changed a little, too, over the years, and I wanted something unique, sophisticated, comfortable. I searched the Internet long & hard before settling on this case (the act of shopping is recreational for me).

This model had everything I wanted: a few pockets for miscellaneous stuff, a dedicated one for discs, good padding in the main compartment, space for a couple of books, too (so good design). And, it was very good-looking: thinner profile than standard backpacks (doesn't knock over people when you squeeze by -or look clunky); made of charcoal herringbone fabric with pink pin-stripes, trimmed with black patent (tasteful, sophisticated, dirt won't show), really comfortable straps and balance. An added hand-carry handle on the top so it can be carried like an attache case was a bonus. The water bottle pocket zips out when needed, but doesn't show when it's not in use (sleek). Not heavy.

All this and priced under $75? Obviously, I snapped it up.

This one and its stolen twin have worn extremely well over 2 years of use -in fact, virtually no signs of wear at all. Not only does it work, I can't count how many compliments I've gotten on it. If someone tried to steal this one, I would hunt him down like a dog.

I bought this backpack because I found that carrying my work laptop in a shoulderbag briefcase was causing me huge shoulder problems. This backback is well designed it holds my 7-lb 17" monitor laptop and I sometimes wonder if the laptop is even in there it's so comfortable! The straps are a bit widely placed, so if you have narrow shoulders it might be hard to use they are also made of typical backpack material and if you are wearing a tank top you might get a bit of rubbing on your shoulders where the strap touches your skin.

The backpack has one large padded pocket that holds your laptop and that has easy access through a top zipper (that goes all the way down the sides), and then another full length pocked under the "flap" that gets held in place by the small silver buckle you can put a few files or papers in here (I wouldn't plan on putting in full file in here). There is then also a smaller pocket in this area for your phone, mp3 player, pens, mouse, wallet. The bottom pocket is easily accessible and holds all of my computer cords.

It also has a water bottle pocket that can be zipped and hidden away. The pocket is a good concept but is too short for most water bottles you need to plan on only carrying a short or small bottle.

The backpack is also cute I get compliments on it every time I use it, and get asked where I got it every time I use it.

I also thought Gecko Red was a weird name for a backpak which looked to be olive and gray diamonds. I rated this bag 4 stars, because I would like a bag this size to hold my iPad. Then, it would be a perfect 5 stars for me. It holds the gear I carry (Canon 7D without a battery grip attached, a Canon 50mm f/1.4, and a Canon 24-70mm f/2). Remember. It is meant to be a compact bag, so don't plan on carrying ancilliary items AND all of your lenses. However, If I just want to carry my camera gear, including a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS I, I can, but then I can only carry my keys and a small wallet by unzipping the divider that opens the internal area of the bag up to include the otherwise separate top compartment where you might carry a wallet, some nutrition bars, your keys, etc. There are still small side pockets to carry a microfiber cloth, polarizers, etc.

This bag just felt too rigid and uncomfortable on my back. And I wasn't trying to overfill the bag, either. And the idea of being able to change straps (sling to backpack to cross) sounds nice, but it just doesn't seem to work well and I found myself asking, "Is this really necessary." It's difficult to hide the second strap of trying sling mode. Also in sling mode, the strap cuts into my shoulder too much. I have had Lowepro Slingshot bags in the past, but I think I would not have liked this Kata bag even if I had never heard of Lowepro. I ended going with a similar Lowpro bag to the one I had previously, only an AW bag, with Rain Cover.

The Kata 3N1-11 has been a great day bag for my travels. I've had it now for about 2 or 3 months, and have used it on several day treks. For what I have been recently doing, my standard load has been my camera with two lenses and a flash. I just have to make sure I pick versatile lenses depending on what I expect to shoot that day. For example, if I know I won't need a flash, I can throw in another lens or two. There's still enough room for a book, notebook, snacks, water, filters, batteries, memory card, pens, and other small items. Perfect for a day of walking around as a tourist and hobby (beginner) photographer. The bag is easy and comfortable to use in all configurations, and I've tried them all. The D-ring has been handy to hang other items like the rain fly, lens cloth, and my point and shoot. Constructed out of high quality materials and made well. Provides outstanding protection for my camera equipment. I was so confident with the bag that when I was in a light rain a couple of days ago, I didn't bother to use the rain fly, and everything in the bag was well protected. To give you some perspective, I'm a career infantry Marine, so I've spent a lot of time evaluating the gear that I use and purchase.

I also bought this from the "used" section of Amazon, and it has far exceeded my expectations. This was my first time purchasing something used from Amazon, so I had no idea what to expect. It was listed as being in "good" condition as opposed to "new" or "very good," and I could not find any damage on it what so ever. It also came with the tags still on. I hope my future used purchases from Amazon are just as good of an experience as this one. I think I saved something crazy like 50% off the regular retail price.

Mickey Mouse "M Factor" 15" Large School Backpack

We got this backpack for our son when he started kindergarten, about 9 months ago. It is working out very well. It is large enough to hold all his school stuff, lunch box, and jacket. We use one of the side pockets to hold a water bottle. It has held up well so far, no tears or wear. The only thing it does not have is, pencil pockets in the front pocket. It just has one large pocket, so I sewed a pencil pouch to the inside. We will be able to use it again next year.

Seems very durable, the fabric is thick and the seams seem strong. We love the colors and design. This back-pack is full size, it fits my sons sheet/blanket/small pillow and snack for pre-school. I like the side pockets; we put a thermos in one of them and it holds it perfectly.

Oakley Vertical Messenger

Love this bag! It took me about 1 trip to get adjusted to the 'vertical' style of a messenger bag, but I love it. This bag is great for laptop, a tablet, a few gadgets and a few wires. Don't get this bag if you are looking to carry books or such. It keeps you traveling lite, which is what I prefer.

At first this product was great. But after about 2 months the seems all started falling apart. After 11 months the bag is in shambles. I only used it to carry a 13" laptop, a few cables, and miscellaneous things. Never overfilled.

I was looking for a simple, light and not too big backpack to commute with my 13" mac air. I went through specs of so many backpack online and thought that this was the one. I like the simple and cool design and the side mesh pocket for a water bottle. It's not too big for a 5'4" female.

It's almost perfect. I would give 5 stars if it would have had double zippers, which are pretty common even for inexpensive backpacks. The side mesh pocket is not deep enough to hold my water bottle and it keeps falling down when I bend over.

The double zippers are critical. I wish that at least that would change for the next version.

Really cute backpacks! We like this product so much that we will be ordering the sleeping bags and duffel bags that match them. Nice quality. Cute patterns. We ordered Paisley, Butterfly Garden, and Out of This World patterns and adore them.

This is a great backpack and high quality for the price. The straps and zippers especially seem to be very high quality (in fact, the zippers seem sturdier and operate smoother than my older daughter's JanSport that was considerably more expensive). The main compartment is large enough to hold a regular sized folder without the ends bending (unlike many preschooler-sized backpacks). Perfect for my daughter, who is in pre-K and will probably work for her kindergarten year as well. Monograming wasn't available for this product, so I bought some cute iron-on letters at the craft store in pink/green, and they look awesome.

I bought this for my daughter reluctantly, because of the price. It took me three weeks to agree to buy this for her. It took a week for it to arrive. It took me 10 seconds to realize how SMALL this thing is. It barely fits a regular size two pocket folder. It has no place to put a drink. Aside from the disappointment in the size, the quality of the material is flimsy at best. There is no reinforcement in the bottom it is made from the same thin material as the body of the pack.

I would have returned it immediately had my daughter not made such a big deal over getting this backpack i'm sure i will be replacing it before the school year is over....and next time "pretty" is not a deciding factor.

Victorinox Luggage Architecture 3.0 Big Ben Mono Retrax Backpack

Hi all

This bag is so near to a perfect idea...

BUT (yes, yes, there had to be one... 2 actually)

1) While the curve on the handle server a great purpose, it seems that accomodating that curve in the rear-most compartment (where the computer accomodations are) resulted in some not-so-great compromises: Very cramped when inserting, strapping down and removing the computer a process I have to go through 3-5 times a day. There is no termination on the strap (other than the velcro) to grab on to, and you have to squeeze between the computer and the handle-housing in order to affix the velcro. The computer also catches on the handle housing on the way down, and the top corners of the computer (15" Lenovo) are juuuuuust inside the fabric of the bag not as protected as I would like.

2) no water bottle holders on the side... you don't realize how much you use 'em until you don't have 'em!

Other than these 2 points, it is an awesome bag. It is still "good", but I will continue in my quest to find "great".

This bag is simply awesome! I researched far & wide over 6 months for a bag that suited my needs (I ride a motorbike, work with laptops, & travel with all my puter gear). So my criteria was a proper backpack that I can ride with, that can carry 2 x 17" laptops plus all my puter gear, carry my clothes etc, & not have to carry it through airports. After much research I found the Victorinox Architecture 3.0 Big Ben Mono Retrax is the ONLY bag on market that fully meets this criteria. But to my benefit it exceeds my expectations because it has many more pockets than I expected, it has a handle that locks in 2 height positions that when extended/retracted also extends/retracts the wheels, can be used as carry-on (as a laptop bag), is extremely well padded & consructed, secures away the straps, handle & wheels when not in use, & has its own lost bag tracking system. All I needed to do was find the best price for it & Amazon did that by being half the price of the retail outlets I looked at in several countries. Bonus! I am so happy I bought this bag, & so happy I got it from Amazon.

I also got the STM laptop glove sleeves to protect the laptops when I remove them through security, & they fit like a dream so it all works well.

For the previous post I saw here that had trouble with the handle, I wonder if they realised the handle automatically extends & retracts the wheels, & that the handle has 2 locking positions? I have no trouble with my handle.

I bought this 3 days ago after searching time and again for a rolling backpack that had plenty organization compartments. This is a winner in that aspect, and the way the wheels hide when the arm is not extended is brilliant.

Although I can point that it is missing a bottle holder on the side, and the laptop compartment was not though for a heavy laptop. My Lenovo w510 with extra battery becomes so heavy that seams to put strain on the zipper, and makes the back compartment almost unusable to store any other things like even a 2,5'' external disk.

And last, and most important, after 3h of normal use, the handle came loose on its axis, and is not working properly while opening and closing. This is NOT what I was expecting in terms of the known durability that Victorinox name carries.

The site is not clear on how to activate warranty outside US or Canada.

First, it's a Victorinox, and that says A LOT!

Second, there is an incredible amount of room to put things in.

I have a 17inch laptop and it fits. There's plenty of room for other necessities like power cables, USB cables, biz cards, in-flight reading materials, presentation folders and much much more room. It's easy to access the compartments also.

When the handle collapses the entire backpack fits very nicely, and easily, into the overhead storage on airplanes though I will admit that I have not taken it on a smaller turbo-prop flight yet to test it in those much smaller overhead storage bins.

I'm 6'5" and luggage handles have always been a problem I'm always hitting my heels on the luggage as it rolls along with me but not with this one. The handle is long enough and it's curved very easy to keep my feet away from the backpack. Very easy to maneuver about. Also, the collapsible wheels are great when you're rolling along in an airport and need to use the restroom. I collapse the handle and the wheels collapse up also. That keeps the back of my shirt or jacket from getting that nasty airport carpet "stuff" all over my back.

The only drawback is the shoulder straps. You have to pull them out and then "click" them together with snaps towards the bottom of the bag. Just kind a minor pain to do, but it's also nice in that the shoulder straps are not in your way if you choose to roll this backpack.

High quality stitching and overall very well made.

Plan on getting countless miles out of this!

Cons:

The leather handel cracked and happened after the return policy ended. Would not recommend.

High Sierra Caldwell Backpack

I bought this backpack for my husband to replace one he has had for years and really needed to be retired! We are not students or serious hikers. He wanted another backpack for traveling, especially for carrying on the airplane, for short excursions and hikes, and even if we are biking. This backpack does it all. It can hold a laptop for the plane, has so many pockets that help keep items organized like sunglasses, camera, water bottle, keys, cell phone...you name it, and you can find a place for it without worrying about everything falling out the minute you unzip a pocket.

Of course if you are a student and want a backpack for school, this is also great because of all the different storage areas, not to mention the price is awesome! I highly recommend this backpack, and I did a lot of research before I bought it.

I recently got this backpack for school. I've only used it a couple of times, but so far I really like it! If you are looking for a pack that feels supportive this is a winner. I carry a lot of books and do a lot of walking around campus. This backpack feels great on my back and I don't feel like I'm going to get a backache carrying all my stuff. Speaking of stuff, there is a lot room/pockets. There is a space cushioned to hold my laptop, a pocket to carry my ipod and headphones or even my glasses. There is a pocket that has a key fob, a PDA holder, pens, pencils, and other things. A pocket to hold a water bottle, and other pockets that I haven't quite decided what to put in them. The straps are great and there is even a pocket on one of them to hold my cell phone. The bag seems to be very durable. I'm satisfied with this product and the price I paid wasn't bad either.

I previously had a Sierra brand backpack before which I used for 3 years before the inner bottom lining broke down recently. My boyfriend bought me one as a gift and I've only had it 3months and I'm down to one strap! The stitching began to break down right away.

I thought that I'd be able to to return it as it is defective. Amazon told me I missed my "return window". I'm extremely disappointed with the product and amazon's inability to replace the product despite defect.

It looks good and is roomy but the quality stinks. I would suggest to purchase it from another retailer that has a no-hassle return policy when it comes to defective products. These backpacks are supposed to last! Not rip at the base of strap. Very disappointed in the product and Amazon.

I like this backpack a lot. It fits my 17" laptop without a problem, and the back is pretty stiff, so I don't have to worry about something damaging my laptop. It fits quite a few books, and is pretty comfortable. I'm a college student and walk around with it all day with minimal back pain. It has tons of pockets, and most of them are large enough that I can fit a school book if I run out of room in the main pocket.

The only thing that bothers me is that the backpack is a bit narrow. I put a 2" binder that gets a little tight.

Over all I love the backpack and would recommend it!
