I love that this backpack is not the teeny-bopper version of Strawberry Shortcake that I see so much these days. That is the main reason I chose this particular one for my neice's birthday. She loves it! My only complaint would be that the water bottle broke almost immediately. This didn't bother us too much, as I was just glad to see the side pockets could hold larger items like that; she will be putting her own sippy cups in those pockets anyhow. She also loved the little bonus purse that came with it. My daughter tried to sweet talk her out of it because she thought it was so neat.
