Travelon Security-Friendly Money Belt, 30-32 Inch Waist

Travelon Security-Friendly Money Belt, 30-32 Inch Waist,Black,One SizeI can go through airport security and not have to remove my belt going through the metal detector as advertised.

I bought this for my son on a three week trip to Europe for extra "financial security." I wanted a belt with no metal so he could wear it through security at the airport (who wants a money belt that you have to take off and give someone an opportunity to steal.

After two weeks of daily wear in normal travel the buckle failed(as another review reported before I bought but I ignored . . .) A belt should last for a long time, not two weeks. Someone should build a non-metal moneybelt that actually lasts. . .disappointment.

I spent 5 months in a foreign country where credit cards weren't widely accepted and I had to pay almost everything with cash. I was very nervous carrying cash, and I was very concerned about pickpockets and crimes against foreigners. I was very glad I purchased this belt. I carried small amount of cash in my wallet, and carried extra cash in this belt. I wore this belt every single day for 5 months. It didn't break, didn't tear, held cash securely. Sometimes when I realized I didn't have enough cash in my wallet, I went to a restroom and took money out of this belt.

One thing I want to suggest the manufacturer is to change the name of this product, because I was asked to remove this belt at the security check point. I told the security staff it was plastic, but they said the airport security guideline changed and I had to remove it.
