Cute idea... but i can see the velcro that holds on the lunchbox getting full of fuzz and not working anymore. Plus there are no pockets on the backpack.

You can't tell from the photo but the entire front of the backpack and lunchbox have a sparkly sheen to them. The lunchbox is the perfect size for my 4 year old daughter and attaches easily to the backpack with 4 small velcro straps. Plenty of space inside for a change of clothes, sweatshirt, and even the lunchbox if you so desire. Great item. :)

My daughter adored this backpack, but after one semester, the seams are coming apart. The zipper survived, unlike the other reviewer, but the backpack itself is disintegrating. We'll have to replace it now.

Also, lunchbox is a bit of a pain to attach and detach. if is very simple; just a box. Hasn't died though.
