We've all been there right? You got your neat little sleeve for your laptop, ( or 13" Macbook Pro), with your charger perched on top it, as you waltz around your home, campus and work place. We all have two hands, and we can handle two items just fine. But add a cup of coffee, two textbooks, and a heap of notebooks, and your two hands now seem incapable for the task. So you're next thought is: "I'll get a bag/backpack/mule slave to solve this problem!". It's a great idea of course, until you realize that the average backpack is a flimsy sheet of nylon attached to some straps of more nylon with thin thread, that sags when you put anything remotely heavy in it. (Just remember High School...now you see it.) A bag is pretty cool I guess, you can look snazzy with a single strap slung over your shoulder. Then one day you have too much to carry, the bag's thin walls didn't stop your laptop from busting through, and you want to carry more than three things. I get it, we all do. So this backpack is the answer. Yes, sure it's pretty darn pricey. Heck, this one backpack is equal in price to all the ones I had in Elementary School, but you know what? You bought the laptop, now protect it! No better backpack will help you do so.
For one: The build quality is fantastic. Every stitch is just right, it feels solid and comfortable and has the right bells and whistles. The pockets are the perfect size for most things, (Most things being: Cameras, Phones. Laptops, Books, Accessories, etc.), and they feel down-right well made. The zippers are tough, the straps don't feel like flat noodles, and the nylon is thick....really thick. The best thing I have to say about the overall build is that this pack keeps it shape. It doesn't look like an old ballon when empty, or an overstuffed ball when packed in. When worn, it feels snug enough to be comfortable, but not too snug as to where you feel sucked into the back of it. The back padding is incredibly comfortable as well, giving your shoulders and lumbar some much needed support.
The best part of the whole darn pack is the faux-wool pockets. There are two, a small one on the front near the top, and one in the main pocket and makes most of that compartment, (large enough for a 15" like it says). The wool is soft and snuggly to the touch, and lints off very little, and perfect for any delicate devices you wish to take with you.
All in all: awesome purchase and it will last me years. It fits everything I need, and protects the hell of whatever is in it. A solid 10/10 for me, I love this thing.
