This was ordered for my then son 6, now 7, and he loves it. I had to talk him into a pack pack that wasn't Mario, but he loved this one. He likes the Lego figures, so this one fit the bill. It is plenty roomy enough for his two books plus his lunch box and jacket in the afternoons. It fit just fine on my skinny little boy. We are very happy with it.

My preschooler loves this backpack! He is very into Star Wars Legos right now so it is the perfect pack for school. The size is perfect for him to put his lunch and nap items in to carry all by himself. Many of the back packs I looked at were so big, they almost hit his ankles when he put them on. It's also nice that it has so many of the characters shown. He will sit in front of the bag and go through all the characters then compare them to his minifigs. I will point out that I did not expect this to be an "able to handle all things" sort of back pack but it has made it through four plane rides with us and it's still in great shape!
