Tenba Vector 637-293 Daypack - Large, Oxygen Blue

Tenba Vector 637-293 Daypack - Large, Oxygen BlueI purchased the green colored bag. The green is a very weird color. It is darker than what you see on the screen more olive think of a jarred green olive and you hit the color right on the head. It is not however a dark olive.

There is one more velcro partition than what is pictured in the fully loaded bag in the picture collections. In the middle where the black camera body with attached lens is place, in the supplied version there is another partition just like the ones on either side that contain the lens in the picture. The partitions are very customizable because there is a lot of velcro on the partitions which makes the partitions easy to use. A big plus for me.

One thing you can't see on the picture is that the base of the upper compartment is fit in place with velcro. It is not sewed in place. That is very good from a customization standpoint because it allows you to put a very lone item in the compartments, essentially extending from the top of the bag to the bottom. I wonder if it is a good thing for strength though it seems like the velcro is very strong and can hold nearly everything you put into the compartment, but I still wonder...

This feature of the moveable bottom of the top compartment is interesting it allows me to fit my Canon 7D with a 70-200 L series lens ( a very big lens for those who are not familiar with it), along with flash and other lenses. That is tough to do in most regular camera bags unless they are large.

The computer compartment fits my 15 inch laptop tightly not a lot of extra room in the width, especially with the zipper placement which makes the opening a bit tight.

The material seems very strong, and smooth. It is attractive to look at. The zippers seem strong. and sturdy.

There are quite a few pockets. However, what is missing are some large pockets that would fit a cell phone or wallet when I use my camera bag, I don't use my purse, and I need some pockets to accommodate my essentials. These are missing in this bag.

The padding is excellent. Firm and plenty thick. Seems very protective.

Overall:

I love that this bag is not black, is so easily customized, fits everything, seems safe for camera equipment with good quality packing.

I don't love the color (even though I am happy to have something other than black!), and I don't love the sloping front of the top compartment I wish they had squared or rounded it off so that more could be fit into the top compartment, and I wish there were some larger pockets that can fit wallets, or larger accessories.

Overall, I am happy with the bag and would recommend it. Make sure you like the colors they are a bit unusual. If you are into the earthy green/olive color, then it should work well for you.

Very nice -lightweight -fits lots of stuff -good earth friendly color --well organized taking it on a trip to Europe!! Very comfortable shoulder straps -places for eyeglasses/sunglasses and/or water bottle quick grab on the sides.

This pack is cute and extremely functional.

I have it filled with one body, three prime lenses and an iPad. It isn't large enough to hold my back-up body or any other lenses (especially a 70-200).

I have always preferred a back-pack to a bag or a cute purse and this is just as comfortable as the lowepro pack -but it's red and fun!

I love the size and color. It's comfortable to wear. The only thing I wish it had was a zipped wallet area for credit cards and some cash.

This back is very similar in design to another bag I use for carry-on on flights. But this bag is lighter in weight and doesn't stick out so much. I actually like the color of this bag, too. The olive green fits with most of my wardrobe, which is mostly nature colors of blue, brown, black and khaki.

The velcro inside is adjustable. I can carry my Canon 5DMII with a 100mm lens attached to it, a flash unit, two other lenses, and several hoods. Smaller items like batteries and memory cards go in the upper compartment.

The computer slit opens only from the top and goes only half-way down one side. While a 15-inch laptop does fit in this, it's a snug fit. I recommend this compartment be used instead for a smaller tablet and its accessories, although having them may be pinching against the back.

This is a nice day back, stylish and usable. For those just needing a camera bag for one camera and a lens or two, this makes a nice pack for all that plus other personal items needed for the day.
