These mesh bags are optimal travel tools, once you get the ideas of traveling light, rolling clothes rather than folding them, and making your bag a bag of little bags. In the month I have had them I have used them in appropriate (simple) bags for a three day trip to the DC area (sort of urban but not dressy) and a two week trip to northern Italy (mainly cycling, some touring).

Dora's Backpack Adventure (2002)

My son is a huge fan of Dora, and the material is great. Unfortunately the quantity of advertising at the beginning of this video is outrageous. I know that Ads at the start of a video are the standard, but over 10 minutes before the video starts on a child's video is outrageous. To wade through this much advertising to see the content they should give the video away for free. Yes, you can use the fast forward button every time your child watches, or you can record episodes easily direct from your own T.V. As this tape only contains two twenty minute episodes you won't have to work to hard to make your own comparable tape.

My 3 year old son is a diehard Dora fan. Recently he really started to pick up on the few Spanish words they have on the English DVDs and the television show. He was very excited to watch this video. I think it holds his attention even more than the others and his Spanish is skyrocketing. I wish the character's voices weren't so high pitched (seems to always happen in Spanish speaking programs all of the children have high voices) and that they spoke a little slower. But if your child watches Dora over and over, why not add a little Spanish?

We didn't realize how much our daughter liked Dora until our local cable company dropped "Nick Jr." programming, when she was 8 mo. old. At age 15mo. she saw Dora's picture at a bookstore, and thereafter would ask us, "D-D-D-Dora". Anything an 8 mo. baby remembers that long must be good.

So we got the Prince video, and the only problem is our tolerance for r-r-r-repeat showings.

We really like the clear language used, the repitition, the sort of "normal" fantasies (as opposed to sensory overload action/sound), and the Spanish inclusion. If they'd do the same stories with Chinese inclusions (or French, etc., etc.,) that would be great.

Our great objection is the 7 minutes of senseless advertisements at the beginning of the tape. When will Americans wake up and object forcefully to the invasive carcinoma that is excessive commercialization of society?

Lewis N. Clark Packing Cubes

Because I was going on a long trip, I had purchased an ultralight set of luggage. One problem with this luggage was that it lacked a lot of compartments and dividers. Thus, I bought a bunch of these cubes. I would like to say that the concept is pretty great: They were able to keep my clothing separate for the entire trip; using these cubes also made the process of finding clothes much easier than it would have been otherwise. I especially like how they simplify the process of re-packing -since you don't have to completely unpack to find things, your packing job stays mostly in tact, so that you can easily repack when you move on to the next location. They also help keep your packing job organized, and I kept shirts with shirts, shorts with shorts, etc.

The only con that I would note is that the small size is really quite small. I used them for random items like electronics, mostly. The only clothing that I put in a small cube was socks. Additionally, other brands offer cubes of different colors, which can help you more quickly find the cube you want. Thus, while I would whole-heartedly recommend packing cubes for your next vacation, I would suggest looking into getting only or at least mostly cubes of the larger size.

These packing cubes saved a lot of hassle on my trip to Europe and kept clothes and items seperated in the suitcase. Sturdy and well made

Eagle Creek Pack It Shoe Sac

I'm so happy I came across this bag! When not traveling I use this for my cleats after rugby, softball, football, and soccer. It's really great for the car because I don't like getting dirt in my trunk from my boots. Oh and I can put the bag in my gym bag or backpack while at school without harming my texts or macbook.

Pros:

1) Waterproof

2) Efficiently holds dirt within the bag

3) Durable

4) I like using the handle

Cons:

1) Zipper Placement I think the zipper would have been better placed along one of the long edges of the bag rather than down the middle. If this were done, dirt could quickly be removed form the back. In it's current placement I have to turn the bag inside-out to remove the dirt.

I love all the Eagle Creek pack-its. I use everything they have and everything is organized. This case can fit 2 pairs of smaller shoes like loafers, sandals, or sneakers. For running shoes or heavy hikers, only one pair.

This Eagle Creek Pack-It is really a nice looking and quality shoe sac.

I always carry an extra pair of sports shoes with me and as this is waterproof, it does create a pretty good "odor" barrier as well so I can finally pack my shoes inside bag neatly rather than in several plastic bags and instead of stuffing them in the outside pocket which makes for a very lumpy and frumpy looking bag as well as making the bag much larger.

I only gave it 4 stars because I just don't see why for $13. they couldn't have made this Sac just a little bit larger. My sports shoes are only a men's 8.5 4E and they just fit in there, on their sides, and the bag just barely zips closed...no way they fit laying side-by-side which would make the space the Shoe sac takes up a little less thick and easy to compress a bit.

I can fit my swimming shoes and sandals in it and it still has the length limitation but both pairs of these fit nicely (size men's 9).

I also bought the (3) nylon shoe bags for $8.29 at the same time (nylon travel shoe bags set of 3 now $6.64) Nylon Travel Shoe Bags Set of 3

They are sized about the same once closed with the drawstring (I will be adding one of those pinchy backpacking things to keep them closed more easily and tightly).

I really like the look and convenience of the Eagle Creek Shoe sac. The materials seem very durable. Time will tell. The handle is a great addition.

Quality: Seems pretty good so far.

Characteristics: Nice that you can see enough to know what's inside but it's not fully-transparent. The fact that it is waterproof is great because you don't have to worry about wet or dirty shoes destroying anything else in your suitcase/bag. Also great that it has a carry-handle (it's the little things that make it work for me)

Size: I am a men's 11-12 depending on the shoe and I find that my smaller dress shoes fit just about right but anything bigger will either not fit or get seriously squished inside when traveling. I often have to put shoes heel-to-toe like in a shoebox which is fine but they still get squished in just a few hours. I really can't imagine how people are fitting more than one pair in these bags, but I suppose it' possible since they are indicating much smaller sizes. It would be nice if Eagle Creek made a larger size; I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Hard decision to knock two stars for the size issue: I'm not a fan of people who rate low because they can't read, or because of something not inherently "wrong" with the product itself. This product is good for smaller shoes. That being said, however, I decided to knock two stars off in the end since the issue here is that Eagle Creek did not clearly mention that this was for smaller sizes only in their specs. I feel the manufacturer should clearly state that and not force customers to rely on reviews to find that out.

Manhattan Portage J Bag

I bought this because I prefer slingbags and my old one was stolen. I work in the city and when I work I practically live out of my bag. The bag is lightweight and high quality, but I wish it had more pockets. The only two spaces are the main space and the tiny pocket in front. The tiny pocket doesn't hold much, its not deep enough to put pens or anything like that in. I keep my train pass in it, sometimes my cell phone, but thats about it. The bag is great in the sense that the main compartment is spacious, and holds quite a bit for a slingback. I sometimes carry up to 3 books, my lunch, and even sometimes my knitting in it. But if I am carrying anything smaller, say a nintendo DS, it gets lost in the bottom.

While I complain about this bag, I still like it. It is definitely durable. We sometimes take it hiking with bottles of water and other snacks. I have been carrying it for a year now and haven't moved to replace it until recently when I needed to start carrying a laptop to and from work. Basically, if you need a lot of pockets and organization, you won't like this bag. But, you may like it based on the fact that it is lightweight, comfortable, well made and durable. It still looks the same as when I bought it a year ago, no tears or scuffs.

This was purchased as a gift for a family member who travels over seas frequently. High quality, good size. Very useful product.

This was my second J Bag (I loved the first one so much I wore it out!). I originally bought it as an alternative to the traditional 2-shoulder backpack, which was aggravating a back injury I had. It definitely helped relieve the upper back/shoulder pain I was experiencing with a traditional backpack, and is designed so that I can wear it on either shoulder, or switch shoulders with a simple snap. Very comfortable to wear for a long day of urban hiking, folds up nicely if it needs to fit under your seat, hangs off the back of restaurant chairs easily, and is machine washable! Best bag I've ever had!

I ordered this pack to take the pressure off an injured right shoulder, which it did nicely (as opposed to my "regular" pack which pulls on the shoulders and neck). While this is a great idea and makes carrying loads quite easy, there are issues:

Not enough compartments! The tiny front pocket barely holds keys or a mobile device needs to be bigger, or come with a key chain clip. Additionally, the main interior is just that one big pouch. With that, everything gets jumbled up at the bottom not good! As a busy person, I love pockets and organization.

A very odd fit for women. While the straps hold the bag in place, they cut across a woman's chest area rather uncomfortably I really think this was built with men in mind!

All in all, I would say that this is an interesting and smart concept, but you would be better off looking elsewhere for an ergonomically correct or comfortable sling bag. Not one of my all-time favorite purchases, although I do use it daily.

The unique way this bag straps to the body can be nice but generally speaking it's somewhat awkward to wear and looks strange strapped across my upper body. There are only two compartments -a very tiny one on the front of the bag and the main compartment. The main compartment isn't square which can sometimes cause issues for me when packing it. I would probably choose a more traditional style if I had it to do over again despite thinking I'd really like this unique bag.

but hey at least this backpack is full of win! Not very good as a pillow but it's totally impervious to water and good for stuffing a couple days clothes and some tech into. If you for some odd reason ever needed to haul 30L of water around on your back it'd do a smashing job of that too. Gives everything a bit of a plastic smell but i consider that a bonus and i'm sure it can be remedied if you were so inclined. If you ever actually do use this near some sort of water it would float you if empty.

Excellent product I bought this as a daypack to keep my camera and other stuff dry on the rain forest. Excellent product.

I bought the OverBoard Waterproof Backpack to take on a Caribbean cruise next month but I will also be able to use it when I go out on the NaPali coast of Kauai. It's very rectangle in shape, I was expecting it to be a little more teardrop like most other backpacks so when packing it a little forethought needs to go into the packing so that you don't pack something on the bottom that you'll need immediately.

I bought the 20L backpack and I'm planning to use it as my carry-on bag on the airplane. It has an inside zippered pocket but other than that, it is one deep crevasse. On shore excursions I'm planning on putting a towel, change of clothes, sunscreen (although that would fit in the the outside elastic mesh pocket), camera, ID, and snorkel mask & snorkel. I'm not sure if my snorkel fins will fit but I might be able to attach them to the outside of the backpack. The 20L is not very large but it seems a little bulky and rectangularish when it's on my back.

The shoulder pads are very well padded, although the are very stiff. The belt around the chest and waistband are a plus. I have no doubt this pack will keep everything inside dry, it's very similar to other dry bags that I've used, but I would recommend folding the top over 3 times and attaching the clip at the top rather than the sides. The other advantage of attaching the clip at the top is that it makes a pretty good handle if you're carrying the bag rather than having it on your back.

I'll update this review after I get back from my trip and let you know if it lives up to my expectations.

I bought this for my girlfriend for the Sony VAIO that i bought her for Christmas. She loved the case but i didn't. It is probably the thinest laptop sleeve that i have ever felt and offers almost no protection if you were to drop it. All this sleeve does is protect the laptop from scratches. It is also a little big for the laptop and the zipper isn't very high quality and has no flaps on it to offer protection over the zipper area. If you are going to keep your laptop inside something else such as a backpack than this sleeve is fine but i wouldn't rely on it to protect it from a fall.

The cover was bought for a Sony Vaio EB series 15.5 inch laptop. It's too big. Thought it is one of the recommended products when I put in the laptop info searching for a cover.

It may fit the 17 inch version but it's too big for 15.5 inch laptop.

The color is very vibrant but think I'm going to return it and order something else since it barely fits into my laptop bag which was designed for 17 inch laptop (hard zipper makes it stiff).

Does NOT fit like a glove.
