This is the best student/ life-on-the-go backpack I have ever had. I can fit my Dell xps m1530 into the padded, side compartment and it's huge power block into the bottom front compartment. Inside the main compartment there is another, less secure, area to put a laptop. I use this area for a large file folder. The main compartment easily fits my 4 books and the pen pocket, on the front of the bag, keeps all my supplies organized. There is also a water bottle pocket on one side which could fit work out clothes and on the other side 2 more, camera sized pockets. Also there is a headphone pocket and iPod pocket, which I don't use. You can feed the headphones through a hole so you can keep your bag zipped up. Needless to say, it's got plenty of room for all your stuff. The bag feels rugged and nicely constructed. My bag is about 50 pounds, or more, fully loaded and the padded straps can easily support the weight--as can the little padded handle. Looks good in black and is easily worth the 50 or so bucks I paid.

I bought this backpack primarily due to its colour, and was not disappointed as to what I got. I wouldn't totally agree with the 'hundreds of pockets' some users got, it has the basic front pocket organiser that usually comes with bags in this price range, although this one is slightly better organised and split up. the side pockets are very nice and the TWO fleece lined waterproof media pockets are an extremely welcome feature (one for mp3 player and one for camera/camcorder). The longer pocket on the side really comes in handy for longer items (I know that sounds redundant). The single large compartment is actually a plus for me, since I already have a High Sierra that has the compartment split into two for organisational purposes. I also really like the front curved pocket for laptop adapter/cord. What impressed me the most was the side-entry laptop pocket in the back, which fits my 14.1" Toshiba in it's own neoprene sleeve (which would amount to a 15"). This leaves the internal sleeve (which can also hold a laptop) free for documents/folders. The handle is not entirely neoprene, it's actually reinforced fabric with neo padding, so I am not worried about that ripping. As some reviewers noted, waterproof zippers on all the pockets would have been ideal, and the padding on the back is somewhat average, but not too bad. The straps themselves are slightly thinner and less padded than my Sierra, so I know I will use this bag for situations where I don't have to keep it on all the time. One thing to note: the way the straps join to give the handle brings them together a bit too much for my liking. This will be OK for women, but if you are a man with more developed traps you will understand what I am talking about (if you are a man you should also know what 'traps' are).
The fabric is excellent, pinstriped chocolate brown with an elegant matte finish, it looks built like a tank, time will tell if I am right or not, but for the price I will be happy for a few years service.
Not to mention Gravity Trading are very professional and helpful and had the best price at the time.

Comfortable, spacious, rugged, and stylish. Nothing else measures up. Perfect for travel, college, or city life. Buy it.Note: The only thing I've never used this for is outdoor activities, but if you are smart about packing (you could even put a bladder in the sleeve inside the main compartment), it would probably be better than most "technical" backpacks out there.
