Green Guru Ruckus 17" Laptop Backpack

So cool, so ruggedly built, so functional… This may be the last daily-use backpack I ever need to buy! The Green Guru Ruckus is replacing my previous backpack that I've used and abused for the last 16 years… yes 16 years!

I wanted a pack that was just as tough and just as functional, and I think this one is that and more… This thing is awesome for day hikes, daily use as a work bag (carrying my lunch, computer, workout clothes, etc.), motorcycle commuting with enough room for my full-face helmet plus stuff when off the bike, grocery-getting on my beach cruiser, and the usage possibilities go on and on…

Whether you need a bag to haul a laptop and files to and from work, or something to haul produce home from the local farmers market, the Ruckus bag can handle any of life's craziness. The rugged bike tube outer is super durable, and will keep water out. It's easy to clean too. Inside, there is a cavernous main compartment with plenty of sub-compartments to hold everything you need and stay organized. There's even a hidden pouch behind the back pad that holds things like a hydration pouch or an iPad. The shoulder straps are comfortable for all day use, and sternum and waist belts keep everything in place, no matter what you are doing. Needless to say, I love my bag. It has traveled to Europe with me, commuted to the local farmers market, and I use it daily as my office bag. It might be a little big if you are just carrying a laptop (easily carries my personal 17"), but if you are hitting the gym afterwards or heading out for a ride, no need for a second bag. Plus, you are helping the environment by "upcycling" blown tubes, and the inside material is made from recycled plasitc bottles. If you are lucky, you'll get tubes that still have some printing on them. It really gives the bag a unique look!

This bag is beefy, tough, and durable. I've been riding with it for about a month now in the ridiculous New England winter which has involved freezing rain, snow, sleet, slush, rain, wind, salt, and general grossness. It has kept my laptop and the rest of my stuff dry as a bone. The pack is comfortable even when loaded with seemingly a billion pounds of groceries which is a plus. My only gripe is that it's not the best looking bag out there. Overall though, this thing is a super functional tank of a bag which is made from recycled materials!

I love this pack as it has a big opening where I can throw in a bunch of gear for riding to work. The flap is easily adjustable to hold a lot or a little. It is also waterproof and durable so I don't worry about the elements.
