The SAK Women's Ventura 104873 Backpack

This is a beautiful bag. It is a heavy quality leather with nice detailing and great functionality. I would highly recommend it.

Before I purchased this bag, I read reviews all over the web, including on Sak's website. It didn't get the best reviews, but I was extremely attracted to the color and versatility of the bag. When I received it, it was as I expected. It isn't top quality leather, but I looked closely enough at it online to see what the texture would be. I purchased a different bag for $250 at another store, which was supposed to be leather, and I think the quality of this leather is nicer. I returned the other one and kept this Sak bag.

The camel color is rich, and I do find it works great as a messenger (although I am 5' 2" it hits me right at the hip) and also a back pack. I had read that the loops slip when you wear it, but I haven't experienced that yet. The main compartment is rather small, but based on its dimensions I didn't expect to be able to fit anything more than an iPad and other essentials.

I haven't had it for very long a few weeks so I can't speak to its longevity, but I feel it was worth the price I paid and will get a lot of use out of it.

I can no longer imagine carrying a purse. For any non-formal event, this is a far better solution. And if you're somewhere like an art museum where you can't wear a backpack, the conversion is the work of a moment.
