I ordered this bag for my son to carry around his own water bottle and snacks while on our trip to Disney. It is the perfect size without being to bulky. It was large enough to hold a small lunch box, a water bottle, a small (99 cents) first aid box, and an emergency poncho.

I saw other reviews of the same brand of light weight backpacks in different colors but I did not see any for the red one. It's one of my favorite colors, so I decided to jump on it. I'm so glad I did! I'm really happy with the backpack it's very well made, light weight, and comfortable to wear. My first impression with the strap of the backpack was that it may be uncomfortable but actually it's pretty comfortable after having it on for a couple of hours.

I wanted something to take with me to the gym but not something that would be bulky like a regular backpack. This little backpack serves the purpose of me being able to place my notebook, straps, weight lifting gloves, protein shaker bottle, and a 1.5 liter water bottle and still not be bulky. I still have room on the front zipper to put my keys and other small items, if I wanted to. I love it! I would totally recommend one of these to anyone wanting something light with plenty of room.

These backpacks are smaller that I thought but we are going to try to use them for school this year anyway. I standard size folder or notebook does fit but thing that would be bigger than that prob would not. Not a lot of pockets but does have the headphone port that is nice. It is more like an overnight bag or sports bag as opposed to a school bag. It was a good price but since my kids are in 4th n 5th grade they don't carry books around yet it will work.

The Style is #044XLD; I assume the X implies extra, the L implies large and the D implies Deep...in short both extra large and extra deep. It is huge.

If you measure the back of this pack from the (back) zipper to the bottom of the pack it is 8 inches.

It is well made, has huge compartments, provides a plastic boat (quick release) clip with a stainless steel ring for keys.

The strap is 1-1/4" wide. Unlike some straps, the termination at the belt buckle has the end sewn-hemmed, preventing a loose strap from slipping through the tension buckle and becoming separated.

The tension buckle used for adjusting strap length appears to be excellent at restricting movement.

The zippers are solid metal with 1-3/4" long tabs. There are three zippers on the top as shown; two in front and one at the back. When the top is flattened (similar to pack being filled completely) it is 5" at the widest point. As advertised, it is 16.5" from the edge of the straps (where sewn in) to the pack portion.

Based on a phone call to Everest, all of their Adult fanny packs have maximum strap length of 42". Thus, I like their length for shoulder carry, vice waist use.

Buying a good backpack is surprisingly difficult. Maybe I'm just picky, but I had a hard time finding one that had enough pockets, a large enough main compartment and separate laptop compartment, was big enough but not too big, and was somewhat cool looking. So I was really excited to find this one, which had some really neat features and was unique enough to justify the price. After about two weeks of light school use, though, the fabric on the straps started fraying. Amazon's customer service is great, I was able to return the product and buy a different bag with no problem. I was just disappointed that this one didn't work out.

this bag is really adorable, but not too big. We use it for overnight trips, or picnics. the zipper on the front pocket gets stuck frequently, and isnt stitched too well. if you only plan to use this as an occasional bag it would work just fine. if you plan to use it everyday, i believe the zipper would definately break. i do like the features of this bag. you can extend the handle to pull it behind you or wear it as a back pack. perfect for a little girl 3-6 yrs old.

This is a beautifully put together bag,but way too small. Its for maybe a 3yr old to 'play' with. I bought this thinking it was much bigger. My mistake was not paying attention to the measurements. My 7yr needs a wheeled backpack for school books,etc. and this is more like a toy for a very young child. The bag is beautiful and looks like it can be great for a youngin' but not for a replacement for school stuff. I will look for something bigger.

This bag functions in the school setting, but is extremely annoying to use. Every time you try to zip and unzip the middle compartment, the zipper catches on the extra flap of material that is built into the bag. You have to unjam it every time. If I could return this bag, I would, but I'm already using it, and will just deal with it until it falls apart. Poor design from a company that is supposed to have cutting-edge designs!

I should have read the description better. This is a very small backpack. My daughter still loves it, because she loves Dora. But I was hoping for a regular sized back pack and got a mini backpack. I needed a bag for Camping with the scouts. I wanted to be able to put everything I needed... Tent, sleeping back, clothes, etc in 1 bag that I could put on my back, but my day pack on backwards and I was ready to hike in to the site. Most of these hikes are not going to be very far, but they are going to be through the woods and over small paths and I would rather make 1 trip instead of multiple. The bag did the job. It is a very sturdy bag. The straps are not very padded but the seem sturdy enough to make the trips in and out of the woods and are very adjustable. The groumets and eye hook are also very sturdy. I had it OVERSTUFFED for the first trip, and it was tossed around and handled it quite well. The "Very Good" seemed to mean they were in very good shape. The previous owner had labeled them, but for the most part they were almost like new. I ordered 2 bags and 1 of them had some offensive language on it, but with a sharpie and some creativity no one will know. A very good bag that should last for many years and many trips.

I bought this bag a couple months ago and haven't seen any signs of it breaking apart. I was concerned that it would after reading the previous review. I bought it anyways because I liked how it looked. I'm not taking it camping, putting rocks in it, or dragging it on asphalt so it hasn't shown any signs of damage. Of course with any product, there will be wear and tear over time. If you're looking for a simple backpack that you can put your laptop in along with some other stuff it will work out just fine. I'm giving it 4 stars because I wish there was a separate pocket for my laptop in the backpack. I had to buy a case for my laptop so it wouldnt get scratched by my power cord.

I purchased this backpack less than a week ago, and already it looks like it's falling apart. The "synthetic leather bottom" is the problem. It's really easy to scuff this part of the backpackand the lining simply falls off. After only a week, the backpack looks awful.

This sleeve is perfect for my MacBook Pro. I generally keep my laptop in a laptop bag, but when I travel, I like to put my laptop in a bigger bag and wanted something to protect it. This sleeve is just want I wanted. It fits the MacBook Pro perfectly, and keeps it protected (particularly from crumbs and other things in my bag), and it looks great, too! I frequently attend conferences where lots of other attendees have the same or similar laptop, I love having this sleeve standout, so I always know it's mine. It is a thin sleeve, which is what I wanted. I know some complaints on other sleeves were that they weren't thick enough to protect the laptop. This bag is heavy duty. The materials are high quality and are stitched very well. Extremely water-resistant. There are plenty of compartments and slots for pencils and data sticks, etc. Straps are well paddedI just didn't like how it is really tall, narrow, and not deep enough for a college student with science books. I prefer something a little shorter, wider, and deeper, but thats my fault for not reading the dimensions.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Cosmo Pouch

I have two of these pouches that I use to carry and organize cables for my various electronic gadgets. I ended up needing a second one due to the amount of stuff I wanted to keep readily available (and organized) in my travel duffel bag.

I purchased the size small and they measure about 8" long X 5" tall X 3.5" wide. It is perfect for carrying camera and phone chargers together (and not loose in the bottom of my bag).

Since I have two of them, I needed a way to tell them apart. I used two short lengths of paracord, of different colors, and tied a short pull around each zipper so I know that red is my "main" pouch, and brown has my pouch of "other stuff" that I don't use as often.

The quality of the pouch is very good. I don't put a lot of heavy items in them, but I believe they would hold up to a lot more than what I use them for.

There are probably a hundred different uses for this pouch and I can already see myself buying another one in the future (when I find a use for it).

was a little disappointed by this, wanted to make it a kit bag for trips but it's not water proof or resistant (bottom is cloth) so I'll have to use it for something else.

Ness Eli Diaper/Tote Bag

I just bought the Eli bag (in camel) from the Ness website. I bought it because I was looking for a convertible backpack that wasn't ugly. I really want to love this bag it has a timeless style and is great quality. But I am having issues. First, there aren't enough pockets. Exterior: two small flap pockets (big enough for smart phone and few small items), one flat snap-close pocket (under the buckles to the front handle). Interior: two small elastic pockets, one large elastic pocket, one small zipper pocket. I'd really like two additional designated sippy cup pockets in the corners of the bag, but they aren't there. The straps are comfortable, but the shoulder straps are a little small and are better used as a clutch handle.

Overall, this is a great quality bag and I am really happy with the look. If there were just a few more pockets, I would be sold. I am still undecided if I'm going to return this and instead go with the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel (more room, more pockets).

Crocodile Creek Kids Backpack

This is a nice pack for little ones. My daughter is in preschool, and as I watched her classmates pour out of the school building one day, I became aware of how huge their backpacks were. I spent some time looking for one that would not be so huge, but that would not be tiny either. When I came across this pack, I read some reviews, trying to get an idea for its size, and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did, because the size is just right. It is not too large, yet it is sizeable enough to hold a folder, papers, a snack, and a change of clothes with room to spare. Also the little water bottle holder on the side is cute; of course we had to buy the matching bottle. My daughter is thrilled with the ballerina print as well. I also ordered one for my son, the dinosoar pack, and it's really cute. I do recommend this for pre-K and knidergarten, it really is just what they need.

None of the small backpacks I found at regular stores, like Target, fit a regular school binder. The bigger ones were too big for my 34 3/4 inches little girl. She started pre-school and needed a backpack to carry her lunch bag, extra clothes, and bring home her artwork, homework or notes from the teacher, etc.

This backpack is just the right size! And it is very well done. I think it will last for a good few years.

Crocodile Creek products are very pleasing to the eye. Colorful simple images, like a flower or a dinosaur have a sweet look, the way kids stuff should look. I have a petite 4 year old that goes to an academic preschool and she needs a backpack that fits her. (She is 39/40 inches tall) The ones in stores are either so small they wont fit a folder or so big they come down to her knees. This backpack is wider rather then longer, but fits a folder perfectly and it also fits the matching lunchbox so she has nothing to carry (or leave somewhere!) The straps are cushioned a bit and adjustable. The front pocket holds pencils and erasers so everything stays organized and is easy to get to. Overall, this backpack is well constructed and I will buy from this brand again.

This backpack should be on every OT's/elementary school teacher's list of recommendations for kids, who struggle with regular backpacks! It has a very large zipper with long pulls that make it very easy for young kids or those who have issues with fine motor manipulation to open and close the main compartment. The other big plus is that this backpack is very sturdy and stands upright, unlike most others on the market that collapse in the middle. I just received this backpack in the mail yesterday, so I haven't used it much yet, but so far I like it a lot and it seems to be a good quality backpack. It appears to be pretty sturdy without being bulky, and I think it will be pretty durable. The straps are nicely padded, there's a little pocket on one of the straps with a magnetic closure, the side mesh pockets are good for bottled drinks, keys, phone, etc. It does also have the second pocket with the organizer spaces in it, which is nice too. I would also say that the photos accurately represent the product. All around a good backpack so far!

The SAK Women's Ventura 104873 Backpack

This is a beautiful bag. It is a heavy quality leather with nice detailing and great functionality. I would highly recommend it.

Before I purchased this bag, I read reviews all over the web, including on Sak's website. It didn't get the best reviews, but I was extremely attracted to the color and versatility of the bag. When I received it, it was as I expected. It isn't top quality leather, but I looked closely enough at it online to see what the texture would be. I purchased a different bag for $250 at another store, which was supposed to be leather, and I think the quality of this leather is nicer. I returned the other one and kept this Sak bag.

The camel color is rich, and I do find it works great as a messenger (although I am 5' 2" it hits me right at the hip) and also a back pack. I had read that the loops slip when you wear it, but I haven't experienced that yet. The main compartment is rather small, but based on its dimensions I didn't expect to be able to fit anything more than an iPad and other essentials.

I haven't had it for very long a few weeks so I can't speak to its longevity, but I feel it was worth the price I paid and will get a lot of use out of it.

DAKINE Interval Pack

Love, love, love this bag it is sturdy, has many pockets, and seems to have a number of applications (beach or no beach). Given the variety of colors and designs, there's likely to be something for most people in this line perhaps this bag has suffered from poor advertising, but the complete lack of customer reviews (prior to mine) is surprising to me. Very solid material, does not feel cheap whatsoever, has a pocket for your laptop, and quite frankly it's "interesting". There are a lot of ordinary bags out there in terms of appearance. Why not pick something a little outside the lines, and possibly GAIN even more functionality than other bags for a totally reasonable cost ($60) too. You'll easily pay that for a laptop backpack. I am very proud of my choice, of both product and then the specific color/style white argyle. All in all, this bag is tasteful, has broad function, and quite frankly: it's cool.

But not for it's intended purpose, surfing. This is my travel backpack for overnite races ( tri's, running etc ). just the perfect amount of room & compartments. For surfing I use the Dakine Riders large which is perfect...

Stick with Dakine or Ogio, you can't go wrong with either...
