I bought this for my granddaughter to take her blanket with her to preschool. This bag is VERY small. It is about half the size of a regular bookbag and I actually had to buy her a smaller blanket to fit into it.
This backpack is sturdy: My 2.5-year old daughter has had and used this backpack for a year and it is still in one piece! She now takes it to daycare everyday and fills it with toys and books.
The backpack has a small pocket on each side and two large main pockets in the middle (one larger than the other). The handle is easy to pull out or push in, so kids can decide themselves if they want to wear the bag or pull it.

this bag is really adorable, but not too big. This is a beautifully put together bag,but way too small. Its for maybe a 3yr old to 'play' with. I bought this thinking it was much bigger. My mistake was not paying attention to the measurements. My 7yr needs a wheeled backpack for school books,etc. and this is more like a toy for a very young child. The bag is beautiful and looks like it can be great for a youngin' but not for a replacement for school stuff. I will look for something bigger.
