I purchased this for my son as birthday gift. He is a junior in college and needed a solid backpack for carrying a laptop and books.

What a difference from the other Targus backpack I bought previously. It is well designed and laid out, with plenty of useful pockets and plenty of padding,(apparently something that comes with the "plus" designation). It has some stiffness to its structure so while it doesn't stand upright on its own, it doesn't collapse into a pile either. Handle on top (cable cored) is great and back-straps much more comfortable. No waste strap but I haven't missed it. I use it like a briefcase as well as for travel and it suits those purposes well. It's size is just right, and it will hold a 17" diagonal laptop. Bottle holders on both sides, water-resistant bottom. My fourth backpack in a year and I'm very happy with it.

Ju-Ju-Be Packabe Diaper Bag

I really wanted to *love* this diaper bag but I think I only like it. It is a good size and easy to clean, and is not uncomfortable to wear. Things do seem to get lost in the bottom of the big part (the black hole syndrome I guess)and when carrying the back like a backpack and it is not completely full, the bag seems to fold in half. It's not a big deal but annoying to me. The front pockets are also not the easiest to get into. Overall though it's ok but not worth the price to me.

I have 3 children: 4, 2 and an infant. I have gone through 2 backpack diaper bags that have essentially fallen apart on me. I HAVE to be hands free and hate messenger bags slung across my chest since they slide off my hips and smack my kids in the head when I lean over to help them. I tend to 'overpack' feeling more confident running around all day long when I'm prepared for every eventuality.

The features I most like:

The amount of pockets I will need to carry around 4 water bottles/sipee's/bottles where ever I go for my large family, and most bags won't fit that much. I like the amount it will fit for the size it is I can fit 4 containers of snacks, my 4 water bottles, my wallet, diapers and change of clothes and it still isn't bursting at the seams. For me at 5'11" its very comfortable on my back and I don't feel a need to have padded straps.I like that the main section zips in the center so you can leave it partially open and not sorry about things spilling out. I didn't go with the BFF because the zipper was more in the front instead of the top of the bag. Makes it easier to get what you want when its sitting on the floor too.

Frustrations:

It really needs a top grab handle I'm thinking of using caribiner clips to hold it in backpack form since I rarely use the messenger feature and that way I can just grab the padded top section when I need to chuck it in the car I'll see how this works.

Side bottle holders I wish they were a bit higher since I often am carrying around 2 25oz bottles on the outside and have to make sure I shove them as far down as they'll go.

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with this bag I purchased it in the brown/blue combo (which the brown is much darker than shown here on Amazon) and am pleased. The real test will be to see how long it lasts.

Pros:

The Packabe is a really cute bag style, the Evening Vines print is lovely, and it is well-made. The material and entire bag feels very high-quality.

The magnets to close the two front flaps are a nice touch, they open and close pretty quietly (there's a small THUNK sound when the magnets connect to one another) in comparison to my Petunia Pickle Bottom bag that uses velcro and goes RRRRIIIIIPPPPPPPP!!! every time I open the bag.

Memory foam: the changing pad is nice and comfy for baby. The memory foam strap (only for when being worn as a shoulder or cross-body bag, not backpack) is also a nice touch.

Anti-microbial inside lining. This bag has silver colored lining, which I didn't think of as a very "light color," but whatever (they advertise as having light colors inside the bag to help you find items easier).

Cons:

I must not be able to travel lighter, but this bag is too small for my diaper bag use. I carry both diaper bag items and my personal items in my diaper bag because I don't want to lug around two bags where ever I go, so I thought this bag would be perfect. I was able to fit everything inside by taking out a couple of non-essentials (sunscreen, my glasses case). But I don't like that stuffed silly look, and it was hard to get things out when I needed them.

This was my main complaint: The pockets inside the bag were WAY too small for anything I wanted to put in them. There are pockets inside the "mommy pocket" and the pocket below it, but the only thing I was able to put in there was chapstick! Your phone won't fit in the pockets unless it's the size of a beeper. I didn't want to place my phone in the main part of the "mommy pocket" because my keys were there and would have scratched it up. Also, the pockets in the main pocket of the bag which are meant to hold wipes and diapers were also very small! I could not fit my wipes container in any of the pockets (regular Huggies wipes container). I was able to fit only one disposable diaper in the side pockets with it kind of scrunched up, but no more. We also cloth diaper most of the time so those diapers definitely wouldn't fit in any of those side pockets. I was really surprised how small these pockets were for a DIAPER BAG, although they would be small for a regular purse as well. After placing some small items in the teeny side pockets, the main compartment of the bag was small as well. I guess they didn't want to make the bag a HUGE backpack, but you are sacrificing useable space for looks, IMO.

I read about this before purchasing the bag, so I expected it, but this bag is HEAVY, with a capital HEAVY. It is definitely heavier than my 6-pound Chihuahua, I would venture to guess around 8-10 pounds without anything in it. It wouldn't have been a problem for me, but I did try to figure out why it was so heavy and came to the conclusion that the anti-microbial material is very thick (especially at the sides where the insulated pockets are), and all the metal hardware does add up. Like I said, not a big deal for me but some others might not care for this.

The accents on the zippers and on the Ju-Ju-Be labels. This was something that really bothered me, but it really is just a personal preference / personal opinion thing. In the two spots that say "Ju-Ju-Be" on the bag, there is a cheap metal star looking accent. On all of the zippers, there is a cheap gemstone looking accent with "Ju-Ju-Be" written around it in a circle. IMO, these accents make the bag look cheap, like something I bought at Wal-Mart for $25 instead of a $120 diaper bag. It really changes the overall appearance of the bag, as it otherwise looks very well-made. I guess they were trying to jazz up the bag a little but I thought it made it look like a young child or teen bag made in China and sold at discount stores...

The "crumb drains" sounded really awesome because I am forever getting smashed animal cracker or cheerios in my diaper bag and having to empty out the entire thing to clean it out. I thought the crumb drains would save me a lot of trouble! Imagine my surprise when I got the bag and saw that the crumb drains only drain at the very back of the bag, from the seperate changing pad pocket! Huh?! The changing pad goes in its own separate pocket on the back that lays against your body when wearing it... this is where they crumb drains are, not from the actual main pocket of the bag, where you would expect them to be. I usually don't keep any food items I want to give my toddler near the changing pad (eew, germs much??) so the crumb drains on this bag are rendered useless.

To make a long story short, I wanted to get a backpack-style diaper bag. After hours of research online, I initially chose this bag over the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack, because the Packabe was supposed to be "better organized" and easier to keep clean (the outside of the bag). After seeing how tiny the side pockets are in the Packabe, I'm realizing that it doesn't help with "organization" because I can't put anything in there! Along with my other reasons for being ultimately unhappy with this bag, I decided to return to Amazon (I LOVE AMAZON!!). I went to Nordstrom's to check out the PPB Boxy Backpack and I LOVE IT. Purchased it right away at the store, and on SALE, so it was cheaper than the Packabe! I purchased the "glazed" version of the PPB so the outside will still be easy to keep clean. If you are deciding between the two, I hope my review has helped! They also sell the PPB Boxy backpack here on Amazon. Also wanted to add, if you are not dead-set on getting a diaper bag that is a backpack, Ju-Ju-Be has some other very nice diaper bags that I saw in person while at Nordstrom's. I might have considered one of those if I was open to other bag styles. Ju-Ju-Be's are very nicely made (with the exception of those cheap looking accents).

I just started getting into Ju Ju Bes and I bought the Packabe only a few days ago. This brand is by far the most well-made diaper bag I've ever come across. The Packabe has a mommy pocket, that means no need to carry a separate purse. The organization is superb, it has just the right amount of pockets inside to keep small items from getting lost inside the bag. The Packabe does not look that big in real life but it is very spacious inside and can easily hold items for two kids or can be used for overnight outings. The Lush Paisley print is just beautiful. Ju Ju Be has the best prints, none of their prints look generic so when you are carrying a Ju Ju Be, it really stands out!

I am very pleased with the craftmanship, look, style, and durability of this bag and would highly recommend it to other moms.

I searched everywhere for a Robot backpack for our preschooler, and this one is perfect. Very well made and sturdy with a retro robot design. It fits well and still looks like new going into a second year of use. It may not fit full size binders, but it has worked for folders and smaller books.

Piel Leather Carry-All Bag

The leather bag is taller than stated and is pretty big. The side pocket is too small for an I phone or EVO to fit and have flap close.

Tumi Alpha Bravo Day Beale Mini Messenger Bag

I did quite a bit of research looking for bags to carry my iPad. I had bought the Mobile Edge Mini Messenger bag. Nice materials and finishes. I just found it to be BIG. Too big for just carrying the iPad.

I wanted something more compact and understated. That is what I found the Alpha Bravo Day Beale bag to be perfectly sized for the iPad. Nice pockets and compartments to house accessories and miscellaneous items.

The look and the design of the bag are really nice. The photos really don't do it justice. I saw several other Tumi bags at Nordstroms in person, and only then, can you appreciate the quality and the attention to details that Tumi provides.

Two minor complaints with this bag. The liner is a little loose. Not bad. I am not sure this is what I was expecting given the other bags I saw.

The zipper on the front of the bag under the flap is a little coarse. Sometimes, it does not glide as smoothly as a finer zipper would.

In summary, for daily use carrying the essentials plus your iPad and accessories: Great.

You won't be able to fit too much. Great styling.

Minor details on the finish of the liner and the zippers.

Worth $175? Debatable....

If you want to carry around anything with a 10 inch screen then this is for you. It fits exactly my ipad and asus netbook together with no room for anything else besides a few pieces of paper and maybe some pens. The quality is good and careful design was put into the bag. I wanted a lightweight bag that could carry my laptop and papers but could also be easily rolled up for packing, something you can't do with a conventional padded computer bag. I also wanted a strap long enough to go across my body and leave my hands and arms free. This bag fits the bill. The construction is good, and I like the outer zipper pocket and the net bottle carrier. Just what I was looking for. I wouldn't mind having it in a few different colors.

This bag fit the bill. It is not too big perfect for early elementary. It seems sturdy enough to take folders back and forth to school, with a little extra room for a change of clothes, etc., but not too big. If you are wanting to take more than two or three books home every day, you probably want a bigger back and a padded strap. This is definitely a light duty bag, but no more so than the cheap kiddie backpacks you find in the stores it is made of the same vinyl fabric.

It is very plain we bought some decorative iron-on patches and I ironed them on just place a thin towel over it all and iron on cotton setting. Now it is super cute and one-of-a-kind.

She has used it for two weeks now and no complaints so far!

I just got back from a 4 day trek through the Olympics with my brand new Tadita. The most impressive thing about this pack was its flexibility. We had to pack 2 weeks worth of general vacation gear into the pack and I was really impressed with how easy it was to handle even crammed to it's limit. During our actual treks I carried about 30-35 lbs of gear with ease. I'm a petite 5'2" so it's really essential that I don't get overweighed. This pack was easy to adjust and distributed the weight really well, I never felt uncomfortable. My favorite use of the pack was for ultralite day hikes that we took from basecamp and back. I removed the top compartment (love this feature)and used the built in secondary lid straps to cover the top opening in the pack. I then used the large front pouch to carry all the easy access stuff like snacks and bug spray. My complaints about the bag are few, but pertain mostly to the straps and not actual functionality. The secondary lid flap (non-technical name)is really handy for ultralite, but if the top compartment is attached it's kind of an unfinished detail and doesn't really have anywhere to stow away. I had the same problem with the straps in the front pocket. It's nice that I can cinch down the sides of the bag, but all the straps are kind of a mess in the front pocket. I also had a problem with the side pockets being too short for carrying extra water bottles. I just ended up strapping them down. My boyfriend ended up with the men's version of this pack and he didn't have any problems with bottles as I did.

Ok, so overall conclusion is that I loved this pack. It was flexible without sacrificing functionality, which is a hard thing to achieve. Super durable and dependable bag. I would definitely recommend this.

Volume 700 cu in, yes it is small. Best fit for 4' to 4'9". That would be a young child, not a teen. No reason to give it 1 star, it's a quality product. Comfortable and safe.

It's very well made but, beware, this is for a smaller child. A 3 ring binder won't fit in it very well...if at all. The good news is it will probably be the only backpack your child will need until they need to go larger.

This bag is heavy duty. The materials are high quality and are stitched very well. Extremely water-resistant. There are plenty of compartments and slots for pencils and data sticks, etc. Straps are well paddedI just didn't like how it is really tall, narrow, and not deep enough for a college student with science books. I prefer something a little shorter, wider, and deeper, but thats my fault for not reading the dimensions.

I bought this fanny pack as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine who is pretty small. He used to be a Horse Jockey and I was affraid to buy him a pack online, because I didnt know if they would be monsterous on his 5'2 frame. This pack is perfect. I've been very pleased with this protective sleeve for my new model 13-inch MacBook Pro. As a flight attendant I travel through airport security often and have not gotten a single scratch on my precious MBP while protected securely inside the BUILT neoprene sleeve. The sleeve pulls easily in and out of my tote bag. I believe the shape of the sleeve protects the corners of my laptop and gives me an extra sense of security. I love the color scheme of this sleeve and I love it even more in person. The colors in person are a little more sophisticated, not as bright as it looks on the product page (at least on my computer.)

The reason why i love this product is because i was looking for a Sleeve for my 13" macbook and not a typical boring laptop bag, because i like carrying my laptop in a sleeve in any tote that i like. and plus it looks gorgeous too! i'm just in love with this sleeve, very practical very pretty :) i recommend it!

I bought this product for my daughter's 13.5 inch laptop computer.

It does not fit 100%, it will not zip closed, and a small portion of the computer is exposed.

She wanted something to help protect her computer while she transports it in her backpack, which it does, so we kept it.

I bought this product for a friend who had a laptop, but was sleeveless. I would give this product a 5 star, but 1 star taken off because I wasn't careful enough to read the product description carefully. The product says "Dot No 8", which is NOT what amazon put as the picture above. The product is actually a multi-colored polka dotted sleeve. I already sent a message to amazon about a picture fix, but I don't know when that will happen. Anyways, this product was nice. Like the review below, the nice part is that you can remove the laptop from your backpack, while still keeping the sleeve in your backpack. I like the sleeves "curvature", wrapping itself around your laptop.

This is a great product, but I learned my lesson to make sure to read the product description, not the product picture!

I bought this because I have arthritis in my shoulders and had to give up my nice Coach bags. I was looking for something dressy, yet something I could carry on my back. I was very happy when this arrived. It is a beautiful, soft red leather and I get many compliments on it. The quality is equal to that of my Coach bags, and this is something I carry everyday. I love it. Most backpacks are too cumbersome and not very classy looking. This one is class all the way.

I have a black Pacsafe Toursafe Sling/Backpack that I have loved and used for a long time. It has faded with age, the top loop has torn out, the zipper is failing, and replacements are unavailable as this item has been discontinued.

I wanted a new backpack with approximately the same dimensions, style and features as my old one, and Overland Sheepskin Company's Teadrop Multi Zip Leather Backpack fit the bill very nicely! The Overland backpack is a bit smaller than my old backpack, but that's a plus since the old one was a bit too big. The leather is soft and pliable but durable, and it is dyed a rich, deep black that does not rub off onto my clothing. The stitching is tidy and sturdy, and the bag is fully and neatly lined with lightweight grey fabric. The leather straps don't constantly slip through the buckles like the fabric straps on my old backpack did, so I don't need to constantly readjust the fit! The clip for keys is indispensable, as I constantly misplaced my keys until I put them on a chain and fastened them to my old backpack. The numerous zippered pockets are essential for neatly storing the various necessities I carry about. The bag shipped promptly, was securely packaged, and arrived quickly.

Unfortunately, neither of the two internal open pouches is large enough to accommodate my smartphone. It does fit in the inner and outer horizontally zippered pockets, though not in the vertically zippered ones. A conventional mobile phone would fit in either open pouch, but since I don't have one, I'm using the open pouches to store my mini flashlight and my coffee shop card.

I am very pleased with the company's prompt service and the backpack's high quality! Highly recommended!

Was looking for a dressy backpack purse with elegance. Searched through many of Amazon's choices. This was worth the cost. Recently during heavy rains the leather held its color. You can see the rain drops on the purse, but once it dries (rather quickly) no stains are visible. The length of the straps were longer than I anticipated as I was concerned given my size. This bag is exactly what I was looking for. It is beautiful to the hand and eye. The size is just right. I can fit my iPad, small camera and other things in the main compartment and smaller items in the 2 front zipper compartments. I put my cell phone and sometimes my wallet in the back zippered pocket for security and can slip papers or other thin items in the snapped back pocket. With all of that inside, it is still comfortable to carry without putting too much pressure on my shoulders even after hours of walking. It's nice enough to wear to work and works well with jeans, also. I look forward to traveling with this bag.

High Sierra Loop Backpack

Don't let the size fool you! The multiple compartments that give you plenty of room. It's easy to put on/take off especially since I ride the Metro so I'm not breaking my back trying to get it off.

It has adjustable straps so you can pretty much tailor it to your frame to make it as comfortable as possible.

The back pack also holds up well in rain; amazingly well!

I love the color too; it goes with pretty much everything :)

My only concern is that the zippers are super accessible and that can be an issue especially in packed areas such as the Metro. I typically remove it and can hold it from the upper handle ...sort of like a brief case until I'm out of "sticky fingers" way :)

All in all, GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!! I LOVE IT!

My wife was looking for a diaper bag and couldn't find a bag pack style she liked. She decided to buy three different back packs and try them instead. Good Idea! We liked this one the most because it was a small frame, good for a smaller person,like a woman or young adult and it had a lot of storage for the size. The backpack has a lot of storage for the size and we easily fit TWO of all the baby stuff we need to go out for the day. I have carried it a couple of times and I like it a lot. Six months after I bought the High Sierra Loop Backpack, one of the shoulder straps started ripping apart at the seam, and the zipper to the front pocket had broken off (the backpack was gently used). I think the high ratings for this backpack may be due to early user experiences. This backpack (my copy of it at least) isn't very durable.

I've had JanSport backpacks that have held up to *years* of heavy use. If you're looking for something more durable, you might want to spend a little more to get a JanSport or a North Face backpack (both of which are renowned for their quality and durability).

You may, however, opt to buy this backpack anyway since this backpack has received mostly positive reviews and my experience may be an isolated instance. Here are the specifications to help you decide whether this backpack is right for you:

Each of the two side pockets has an elastic band and see-through mesh netting. Each pocket is an ideal place for putting a water bottle, a pair of hiking poles, or even a tripod. I use one of the pockets for a camera tripod and the other for a water bottle when I'm out shooting.

There are 3 other zippered compartments besides the main zippered compartment.

1. I am in love with this bag! The fabric is gorgeous and has the signature hand embroidered patch which gives it a little touch of class. The fabric itself is glazed, which is great in case of spills or dirt... I just wipe it off. It has a front zip-out changing pad that can be easily velcroed off for cleaning. The top of the bag zips closed and has a ton of inner pockets and one inner zipper pocket. The bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap made out of seatbelt material. The only two complaints about this bag are that I wish it had metal feet on the bottom of the bag to help keep the bottom protected when it's on the ground, and I wish it had an inner key hook so that my keys have a designated place. Other than that, this bag is beautiful, functional and a good price for what you get!

This is the best bag I've ever owned. It is very durable, water resistant, classy and functional. The material of the bag is very light, which is a big deal when you are carrying around all your baby stuff, your child and for me, the weight of my next pregnancy. I purchased this bag after a previous diaper bag fell apart a few months into using it. This is my fourth baby and I have eyed the Petumia Pickle Bottom bags since I was pregnant with my first, but thought the price was too high. After going through my share of bags, however, I decided to spring for it and wish I had done so long ago. I would probably still be carrying the same bag around and would have SAVED money in the long run. It is a very sturdy bag and just feels like it's good quality. It's roomy, but not overly so...I have two in diapers at the moment, so I pack 6 disposable diapers total, a wipes case, a nursing cover, sometimes a container of puffs, multiple toys, etc. All of it fits well and is easily accessed when needed. It took me a long time to justify the price but after trying a courier bag and a regular backpack, I decided I really needed something with a lot of pockets like all diaper bags have. I'll admit that I haven't tried any other diaper bag so I can't really compare but I really like this one.

The size surprised me a little (as in it's big) but this is my first baby and I had no comparison data. Once I started putting stuff in though, I realized the bag was a perfect size. Babies need a lot of stuff!

Things I loved:

the print (I got Classically Crete). It is still a bit baby-bag-ish but I find the whimsical print adorable

the material. I love that it's easily wipe-able for when baby makes messes on the bag

Things I am not as thrilled about:

the weight of the bag. The bag by itself is kind of heavy but I suppose that's the trade-off for how sturdy it is

the included diaper pad. It's too small, but thankfully, it's remove-able so I just detached it and I pack my own changing mat

the price. It is more than I would ever spend on a bag for just myself

I know it's ridiculous to wish for because no one ever does this but I would have loved 2 zippered pockets inside for my own stuff. There is one but trying to put a bunch of stuff in it means you can't find anything so I only use it for my wallet now. I ended up getting a pencil pouch to throw my other personal things in so that I could keep it separate from baby's stuff.

What I usually carry: a wipes box, a bunch of diapers, a flannel receiving blanket, a changing pad, a change of clothes for baby, 2 bottles, a few bibs, toys, a few small solid food containers, a water bottle for myself, disinfectant wipes, and a few other odds and ends. I could probably still fit a bit more if I needed to.

This bag doesn't come with the stroller clips so you'd have to get those separately and they're quite nice so I'm glad I got those too.
