Fox Outdoor Alice Backpack Olive Green

Okay, first off, the item was great. Arrived in nice packaging, all plastick-ed up, good condition, very durable, use it every day, etc, etc, etc. So four stars.

But I have a complaint! The item I got was not the item advertisedI was looking for the Alice backpack with the attachment points and the plastic buckles and the tabbed top flap compartment and suchwhat the image on this page showsin cotton canvas as the page says. I was trying to avoid the 'Mini-Alice pack' made of canvas with the traditional closers, because I know that opening and closing those all the time is a pain. Lo-and-behold, though, that's what I got! Exactly what I wasn't looking for, and spent hours (I was determined) going through the internet trying to avoid.

Now, it's a good backpack that I got, don't get me wrong. But the false advertising! Very irritating. The seller I bought from is JM Cremps, so be a little bit careful about your purchases if you're dead set on getting the item pictured.

So I ordered the case thinking it would be a high quality case. Turns out its very thin material and not nearly as high quality looking as the image looks. To add insult to injury it took several days longer than the estimated shipping. This normally doesn't bother me, but when I pay additionally for shipping. Yeah, this bothers me. When I got the case it didn't have the one thing I was hoping for too, the shoulder strap! It wasn't inside the packaging at all. Honestly I would spend a little more money to get a better case or just don't get this case all together. It's not worth the money.

Case Logic LAPS-113 13.3-Inch Laptop / MacBook Air / MacBook Pro Retina Display Sleeve (Black)

Case Logic, Inc. has been around since 1984, which is probably right about the time I bought my first Case Logic case for my cassette tapes. Over the years, as they added items to their product line, so I added their products to my collection. As a sample, I believe I have owned at one point or another, Case Logic cassette cases, CD & DVD cases, CD player cases, Zip Drive cases, trunk organizers, and more. I'm looking around my home office and I can spot several of their products and I bet you do too. Case Logic's 13.3 Laptop Sleeve (LAPS-113) is one of many sleeves that Case Logic makes and it just might be the perfect protective, no frills sleeve for your 13.3-inch or smaller laptop.

I define my perfect laptop sleeve to be one that has no handles, pockets, zippers, or bulk. What I want out of a sleeve, is a relatively form-fitting sleeve that I can then toss into one of my other bags, like my Timbuk2 messenger bag or my JanSport backpack. The LAPS-113 hit each of my requirements perfectly, except for the inclusion of a zipper. Though, as you'll soon see, the zipper turned out to be a neutral feature for me, not a negative one.

PROTECTION

First and foremost, the LAPS-113 will protect your laptop from scratches. The exterior and interior materials are made out of 100% polyester. What makes the LAPS-113 stand out from many similar sleeves is the fact that it actually has some worthwhile padding to protect your laptop from impact. It is surrounded by a 6mm layer of EVA foam which feels a lot like memory foam. This thin layer provides enough protection that I feel very comfortable with it in my aforementioned bags. The sides also have a woven webbing that provides a protective texture as well as making it look attractive. As I mentioned before, I did not like the idea of a zipper on a laptop sleeve because I fear scratching my laptop with it. Fortunately, the Case Logic LAPS-113 has a protective lip around the zipper teeth. Essentially, when you begin to zip the the sleeve shut, the protective lip folds down over the laptop so that it is protected from coming in contact with the zipper teeth.

USAGE & SIZE

The smooth gliding zipper runs across the entire top of the sleeve and about an inch down the sides. It is very easy to insert and remove my laptop from the LAPS-113. When inside my messenger bag, I can remove my laptop without having to remove the entire sleeve from the bag. The Case Logic LAPS-113 laptop sleeve is listed as a 13.3-inch appropriate sleeve. The internal dimensions are 13in x 9.1in x 1.1in and weighs just 6 ounces. The new 13-inch Macbook Pro is listed as 12.78in x 8.94in x 0.95in, so the sleeve should be perfect. However, I have a 12.1-inch Google Chrome Cr-48 notebook and that too fit amazingly well. As my readers probably know already, I LOVE Timbuk2 products but I think the LAPS-113 just usurped my Timbuk2 sleeve as the sleeve my Cr-48 will live in. All you game developers who got their free Cr-48 from the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco might want to try the LAPS-113 for your brand new toy. To top it off, the LAPS-113 comes in three colors-black, red, and tannin (a sort of red wine, brown mixture). I also want to mention that the sleeve does give off a slight rubbery odor at first, but fades away after a few days. I know that some people are highly sensitive to smell so I just wanted to mention it for their sake.

CONCLUSION

There are plenty of folks out there who want a sleeve that has enough padding for better impact protection. The Case Logic LAPS-113 is able to do that without adding significant bulk in a simple and attractive design. I recommend it for 13-inch Macbook Pro users and Google Chrome Cr-48 users alike.

I've been using this case a couple weeks and like it so far. I strongly recommend NOT BUYING THE RED ONE! I ordered it thinking black would be too boring but the red is not like the picture and its quite an ugly red.

The case is soft with a few millimeters of foam. It isn't going to save your computer, but it will keep it from small scratches and dings while its being transported.

I'd love a case that offered a bit of moisture protection, which this certainly does not, but for the price, it definitely meets my expectations.

I purchased this bag thinking it would be strong and tough, I was wrong. In less than a month the shoulder strap broke off, cheap plastic. The bag ripped right in the middle next to the zipper, terrible stitching. If by any chance the bag ripes, the hole will just continue to run, cheap nylon.

I only had boxing gear and some extra clothes in the bag and all these things went wrong with it.

I don't recommend this bag to anyone, it's just a waste of money. I can't imagine what would happen to the bag if I actually wanted to carry big heavy things in it.

I bought this bag for my Kick boxing gear. At the beginning I thought it was a little to big, but after filling it up with gear I soon realized it was rightly sized.

I store my shin guards (XL size), 16oz gloves, MMA gloves, wraps, water, mouth piece, spare tshirt. Sometime I take my GI as well and fits right in.

Good quality and look. If I had to pick on something, it would be on the oversized zipper. It looks a little childish, but I get its more functional.

I would say, buy it. The price is also REALLY good compared to other bags.

I bought this bag on Amazon as I train boxing and BJJ 3-4x a week and wanted one bag to carry all the gear required for multiple martial arts from home to car to gym and back. To be honest I was not expecting too much given the price, but I was very surprised when I opened the box at my door. This gear bag over delivers for $30 in my opinion. The first thing you notice is the beefy main compartment zipper. It is oversized big plastic job with a great Title MMA logo pull on it. It is a great feature along with the nice sized mesh pocket on each side. Perfect for storing your keys, watch, phone, etc. while you are training and then great for sweaty wraps and t-shirt after. The large interior space is big enough to hold my 16oz boxing gloves, headgear, a couple pair of fight shorts, wraps, rash guard, bjj Gi, extra t-shirts, mouthpiece case, etc. I have had this bag for two weeks and have been very happy with it. So nice to have everything for training in one bag and not have to walk in with gear overflowing trying to carry everything in your hands or multiple small bags. Also as a side note-the logos are fine-not really a selling point for me either way-much more concerned with function than the look of the logos-that being said they are the standard Title MMA look and not too obnoxious.

The bag also has a zippered compartment on the bottom where you can pull out straps and attach so as to use it as a backpack. I have not used this feature yet, but might come in handy if you used this as a travel bag for tournament or just for a weekend travel bag-it is definitely big enough.

Incase CL55412 Heathered Backpack (Black)

Lots of room for a fairly thick widescreen 15" laptop, plus my ipad and extra materials. Only had it a month so can't talk to durability, but I think it looks great and have gotten compliments on it.

The only thing I do not like about this backpack is part of something I DO like; the slim profile. The backpack is very "slim," which keeps it looking professional and less student-like, but does not expand very much if you have an odd shaped or long item (like a coffee tumbler) to put in an outer pocket.

If you're looking for a backpack that does not look out of place in a meeting or office lobby, this will do the job. If you're looking for something to put your books in and go to class, you're probably better served with something a little more flexible and expandable.

I bicycle/train commute to an office every week. The incase has enough room for 15" Macbook Pro, iPhones, iPad, Wacom tablet, bicycle lock, keys, badge, extra clothes, while looking somewhat professional in an urban setting. It is so organized, that I simply keep my extra stuff in the front flap, while working in the office or from home.

My previous bag was a Belkin Slim Backpack (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001586UI2/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1), which was great. Zipper finally slipped.

I ordered and returned the Belkin F8N344CW034 Dash Backpack (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Y5PZ0S/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) which is very functional, but just a bit wrinkly for the office.

The 17" may seem a bit large for a 15" MacBookPro retina, but that extra 2" at the top leaves extra room for the top loading pocket for wallet, keys, door badge. The bicycle lock goes into front compartment. Am starting to wear urban cycling shoes and stashing barefoot office shoes (such as the Vivobarefoot Men's Dharma Slip-on) in with the lock.

Only had it for a couple weeks, so no comment about durability. But, so far, has been great!

Having received this product two days ago I will only be able to tell you about the product NOT the experience I will be having a long trip soon so I will write a new review later.

1st Star "The Look". This Backpack has a very modern look being Heathered. And the vertical zipper for the front pocket. Star awarded.

2nd Star "Usefulness". The back pack consists of 2 large pockets, 1 small pocket, and 1 medium pocket The Back pocket is where you are going to hold your computer. The back pocket also has a space to hold an iPad with some space left over to hold some papers or folders what have you, books maybe. The 2nd pocket is a small place for a phone or a iPod with a velvety lining. 3rd pocket is a large space for storage. A spot for your 30pin/USB and pen a charger a mouse. last is the front pocket with a velvet inside. For gum, boarding passes, itineraries. The shoulder steps are nice and the back pack never gets heavy. The back padding is also very comforting. Star awarded.

3rd Star "Price". But dang is this back pack expensive. $130 USD is a steep price for a back pack. No matter how nice the back pack is I don't think it needed to be that much. Good quality bad price. Star NOT awarded.

Nike Nutmeg Backpack

I couldn't believe how much book bags are selling for (upwards of $100). I wasn't looking to spend that kind of money. This bookbag was the perfect alternative to a Northface for half the price.

This bag is HUGE than it looks on the interweb. It's meant to carry either a basketball or a soccer ball. If you're planning to use this as a ball carrier, then it's good. Otherwise, I'd suggest getting somethine else.

Kipling Adara Medium

This is my 5th Kipling bag. I like the color, construction and durability of these bags. This is a very large bag for a medium. So, it is helpful that the inside is lined with a light colored fabric so you can always find what you are looking for. There are lots of inside pockets and places to put your cell phone, pens and other miscellaneous but important things you don't want to lose track of in the bag itself. The bag is very large and holds the usual-wallet, checkbook and small cosmetic case. In addition, often when I'm shopping, I use my Kipling bag to take my purchases; it really is that large. The bag comes with a nice long shoulder strap that you can wear across the shoulders, but I tuck it in the bag and just use the handles, which fit over my shoulders. The shoulder strap is not set-up to be removable.

I bought this bag from a supplier that works with Amazon.com. The shipping was excellent (I received it within a week) and so was the price.

I have loved Kipling bags, the Europa being my favorite..but I needed something bigger so I asked my personal santa to get me this kipling adara. My other Kipling bags were tagged made in china and the quality is outstanding..the Adara that I received just recently is tagged made in thailand and there is a big difference in the quality. The crossbody strap has marks that looked like it was squished between something heavy and dirty, both the crossbody and shoulder strap rubs painfully on my skin because the ends of the stitches were burned making it hard and sharp, the metal hardware and the monkey chain has scratch marks that looked like its been rubbing on each other (like when you take it off and put it back on a lot of times..), the key ring inside the bag gets stuck, and a portion of the lining inside w/c did not meet and is not sewn together. The poor quality of this one was really unexpected and I am really disappointed.

I had been looking for a bag that was big enough for gym clothes and not entirely unattractive. I own another Kipling as an overnight bag therefore I was certain the quality would be good and that the bag would be durable.

I got the bag in a reasonable amount of time and when I got it I could not help but notice that the bag looked noticibly smaller than the dimensions listed. I checked and I do not believe this to be the sellers fault because the bag is listed with the same dimensions on the Kipling website. However for future buyers the dimensions listed are measured across the widest part of the bag which is the top. In my experience most bags are measured across the bottom, no matter which is the widest part. I believe it is listed as 20 inches wide, but it is actually more like 15 inches wide measured across the bottom (without laying it completely flat which is the only possible way they could have gotten the listed width of 20 inches).

I decided to keep the bag because even though it is smaller than I thought it would be, it does fit everything I needed to get into it without being cumbersome. It also is small enough to carry everyday, with no gym clothes, without looking bulky. I am very happy with my purchase and if the dimensions had been as advertised I would have given it 5 stars. Also I love the little monkey, it adds a bit of whimsy to my day.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Quick Trip

I like eagle creek products and this one does not disappoint. Its versatile enough to be used for various things. I've used it mostly for toiletries and it held everything I needed for a 3 week international trip. To give you an idea of what it can hold

I purchased the Eagle Creek Pack-It Quick Trip to replace an old travel worn Dopp Kit. The pack-it quick trip is well made as are all of the Eagle Creek items I own. At first, I thought the pack-it quick trip was too small; however, this made me take inventory of what I had been carrying on trips for the last 15 years and realized that I didn't use half of it. SO, with a revised inventory of toiletries, I loaded up the pack-it quick trip for a two week trip to Australia. The quick trip functioned flawlessly, held everything I really needed for two weeks on the road, and still had some room left. My favorite feature is the zippered pockets on both sides one is ventilated and is a great place to stuff your razor if you are rushed and have to put it away while still wet, and the other side was a great place to put small stuff that usually settles to the bottom of your kit and requires you to dig for in my case it is fingernail clippers, a comb, and a pair of tweezers. Eagle Creek, you have done it again!

The Eagle Creek Pack-It Quick Trip is utilitarian. I am a female who is sick of cheap cosmetic bags. I finally decided to go with a better-constructed, albeit less attractive, toiletry bag.

This bag is not large, so if you need tons of space, this probably won't work. However, the base of the bag is quite large. I am able to fit a round, double-sided mirror in the bottom with room for eyeliner, mascara, eyelash curler, tweezers, a couple hair bands, a brush, toothbrush, and toothpaste and I still have room left over for extra bottles, etc.

The two small zipper pockets on the front and back are great for all that stuff that falls to the bottom of your dopp and essentially gets lost. I agree that the mesh pocket is great for a wet toothbrush or anything that needs air to dry.

I also backpack, so having a handle on one side and a loop on the other makes it very practical for storage. If I need more room in my pack, I can hang this off the side or from a tent, etc. It hardly weighs anything and fits well in small spaces.

I also like that it matches all other Eagle Creek packing cubes, etc. and that it is made from recycled materials.

First off, do be aware that the size of these pouches are, as compared to my initial assumption, bigger than I expected.

I had originally purchased two of them to act as cable/laptop power brick pouches to better organize my rolling briefcase that can get quite unwieldy at times with the number of cables, cords and adapters I have to bring along with me to support three laptops and the usual smattering of gadgets.

The pouch is more akin to the size of a small toiletry bag as opposed to my impression that it was big enough to hold a standard laptop power brick and a few other cables. One of these bags can probably hold all three of my power bricks and then some. My only concern is if they will both fit in my wheeled brief without obscene bulging.

I travel weekly so I will likely know pretty quickly if these work for my needs or not. But at this point i'm undecided.

Update 9/30/2012: After having the pouches for a few weeks, I've decided to keep them. I currently use one of them as a boarding bag as my noise canceling headphones pouch and a number of other items I like to have handy while flying. You have to be selective as there's not a huge amount of room, but headphones, two cell phones and a smallish USB backup battery all fit without problem

The second pouch I have yet to find a use for but it has earned a place in my carryon luggage waiting for the need to arise.

All in all, I'm happy with the product although I think the cost to produce vs. retail price ratio is a bit high. These pouches could be priced a bit lower. If I were really concerned about my budget I likely would have not made the purchase.

"I just received my bag and I love it!!!! I know it will only get better with time, after the leather gets "broken-in". I debated between this company and it's much more expensive competitor and I know I made the right choice. The bag exceeded my expectations!!!!

Fantastic bag; I'm in love with it. I've taken it to work (30 minute bus commute, 10 minute walk through the city, then 8 hours under my desk at the office) every day for roughly three weeks and the straps are starting to soften up and the body of the bag is starting to break in, so it is no longer as stiff and boxy as it was in the beginning. All the hardware feels sturdy, and I have no fear of things coming off the bag. Definitely feels like this will last for forever.

I ONLY wear it as a backpack, because the bag would have overwhelmed my 5' 2" 110 lb frame if worn across the body. I store my laptop, power cord, purse, and sometimes my folded up pea coat in the main compartment, with my phone, wallet, keys, candies, and other loose items in all the other pockets without incident. Because of the weight, the single leather strap has bruised right where I thread it through the ring (when converted to backpack form). Since I don't intend on wearing the bag as a messenger bag, I'm not too concerned about this, but just letting everyone who wants to switch back and forth, this might be an issue. The extra wide shoulder pads distribute the weight well, and I haven't had any trouble toting around my 20+ pound bag around. I did remove one of the shoulder pads and turn it around so both were facing the same way when worn as a backpack (this is another cosmetic thing)

Just a few extra notes (Some good, some bad, but mostly just observations):

Three weeks and the bag still smells of leather. It no longer overwhelms the room, but it's definitely there. I personally love it, so for me it isn't a thing.

I swear the bag attracts marks and scratches. I'm pretty rough on my bags and possessions in general, but for the first 24 hours, when I tried to baby this bag, I failed miserable. This bag is a scratch magnet, but it looks good that way. It's wearing in so beautifully.

The straps on the two side pockets are thinner than the main strap, and one of them is not tanned all the way through (resulting in a stiffer strap, though it's so thing it doesn't affect the functionality much)

The front main strap is attached to a single layer of leather that forms a secondary pocket. When worn as a backpack, this part gets pulled on and stretched, which causes a little warping. That layer won't lay flat for me anymore.

Because of the one-strap backpack conversion, it is little tricky to get the bag on. I normally set it up on my desk and wiggle into it. I'm not ashamed.

If you're a lady, it's probably best to put your hair up while wearing this, because I've snagged my shoulder-length hair so many times. So painful.

I wish Leyden and Sons would make backpack straps for those who want to semi-permanently convert the back this way; I'd be on them so fast!

All in all, I love this bag a lot. I look at it everyday, and it makes me happy. That in itself makes the price worth it for me =D

Bumble Bags Stacy Shopper Tote

I got this tote to match another Bumble bag I have in the same print (Evening Bloom). I really really love this tote. There are two small pockets on the inside which just fits my Android phone in one and my keys in the other now they don't get lost when I shop! there is also a handy front pocket and a small zip pocket on the inside. Would be a great place to store coupons or other things while shopping. It's a good size too and the fitted straps stay on your shoulder.

Ogio Newt II Mono Laptop/Tablet Backpack

Sling bags are somewhat of an anomaly currently for the techies out there looking to get the best portability combined with strict space requirements to fit their gadgets. I've been hunting for the right sling bag for four years now, having gone through four separate bags and after receiving this Ogio I have to say I might finally be satisfied.

First, I'm a college student. So the best bag for me may not be the best for you. But I need to be able to carry my 15.6" laptop on some days and others I would rather simply take my tablet. This Ogio bag has enough room for me to take both, while I admit with my extended battery and large laptop it is a tight fit, causing the zipper to bulge ever so slightly (we'll see how it holds up long term) I am overall amazed they accommodated my laptop, even if inadvertently.

4/5 due to not having the foresight to slightly extend the bag and make a 15.6" fit comfortably.

Second, I need a bag which can easily be taken on and off frequently, sometimes in the smallest of spaces such as the subway. It can easily pivot on my body and let me open up the front compartments for a pencil, my charger, calculator, etc. It also comes on and off easily with one arm. The back is padded well for comfort and the strap can be adjusted to fit your size easily.

5/5 for portability and comfort.

Finally, I needed something which would not only allow me to store my computer and a single notebook, but more than that. Amazingly, I can fit my laptop, tablet, one textbook (hardcover, 800 pages) and a thin notebook in the two main compartments without hassle. Then I get a third compartment in the front, which is practically unheard of in quality sling bags, that can fit my pens, calculator, chargers and smaller assorted items.

5/5 for storage

Overall I really like this bag so far, moreso than the Belkin sling which I acquired on Amazon or the two other slings I've tried from other stores.

A few notes, it has a key ring, a zippered pouch in the front compartment and a couple small pockets there. It also has a small zippered pocket near the waist that has a headphone port in it, this pocket is lined with what feels like a microfiber material, the same material found in both the laptop and tablet pouches. The back padding is a cheap foam, but relatively thick at probably a quarter inch and the bag material is a weatherproof nylon.

I chose this bag over a powerbag sling bag, specifically due to the lack of space in that bag. Hopefully one day a manufacturer will find that right blend in a sling bag that I've been searching for, until then this Ogio has got me covered..

Oh, and kudos to the supplier AV House for a quick two day delivery for free.

This is a good looking bag to carry your gadgets and paperwork around in. It's a little smaller than I had hoped so there won't be space for much else if you're carrying both a laptop, tablet, chargers and I guess a book or a notebook but that should make it kind of perfect if you're using it for classes. It does have lots of smaller pockets to hold whatever little stuff you might need to store and the pocket which seems perfectly made for a cell phone is a great addition. The strap that adjusts the should strap is kind of ridiculously long; I rolled mine up and secured it with a velcro cable tie. This bag has a really slim profile and great back padding. I just wish it had a little more internal space so it would make a better weekend bag. But it's perfect for school or going to the library or if you have work to do in a coffee shop or something and is probably nice enough looking that you could get away with taking it in to most offices.

I was previously using an InCase Compact Backpack. I bought this to go to a Sling design and I really thought the pocket on the side would be handy for cell phone and passport retrieval without removing the backpack.

The good: The build on this bag is excellent and very high quality. The styling is nice and the bag looks very professional. The weight distribution is also very good.

The bad: It simply is too small and cramped. I thought my InCase bag was on the smallish side but the pockets on this bag are far from generous and poorly designed. The most sizable pocket, for the laptop and tablet, is very adequate and leaves some room to spare with a 15" laptop but the way it is designed, you cannot put anything in there except your laptop and tablet. The storage pocket was barely able to accomdate the cable and capacitor from my HP laptop, and cables for my phone and tablet plus some minor odds and ends such as international plug adapter, laser pointer, etc. When loaded it bulged significantly which comes to the next problem. The admin pouch is virtually unusable. When the storage pocket is loaded, it puts too much bulging into this area to use it effectively and the zipper design does not allow you to fully access the pocket. It barely zips down on one side which means you will have to fish around with your hand in a very tight pocket to find anything. Even the little side pocket I was so excited about can barely fit a passport and cannot fit both a passport and your cell phone without being too tight to zip.

Conclusion: It might be a good bag if all you were going to carry is a tablet and no laptop. It is very marginal for carrying a laptop and if used for that purpose is useless to carry much of anything else. For Road Warriors or Students that require a bit more space than this bag can provide, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

It fits perfect. I have several external portable HDs, mouse, and other personal items. This bag is perfect for me, as I dont like thick long bags. I wanted something small, and VERY thin.

This is that bag. Its not tall or wide, and not that thick, which is the most important option for me.

Nintendo Super Mario Brothers Toddler 12" Backpack - Super Slugger

I bought this for my 3-1/2-year-old cousin who loves Super Mario. He's too young to really take a backpack to school, but he can use it to put stuff in around the house or when the family goes somewhere they could use it to carry stuff for him. I also think he has some time yet before he'll grow out of it. He was very excited when he got it. The pocket with the picture has a sheen to it. When I opened the package under direct halogen light in my kitchen, it was positively glittery! I wasn't expecting that, but I kind of like it. I don't think it would have much effect on whether a little boy would like it more or less.

My 8 year old son was excited to order the mario backpack, but.... when he got it... it was like a little, little kids backpack, very small, wont even fit his planner in it, so pretty disappointed that he cant use it for school:(

Dakine 31-Litre Terminal Pack

Nicely made and I like all the different pockets but I was very disappointed to find that the main compartments only unzip about 2/3 of the way. Makes it very awkward and I would not have purchased it had I known that.

Very good one for travelling and the big city life style, Pretty large, pretty large sections but it doesnt feel and look like you're carrying something gigantic on your back.
