My son is a swimmer and needed something that could carry workout clothes, school clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 towels, soap/shampoo, a jammer, and snacks. I was worried before ordering that bag that there would be enough room. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived as it is exactly the right size for all of his stuff. It's also a light weight, yet well built. There are separate compartments to keep things separated. Shoes go on one end, snack on the other. The adjustable shoulder strap is padding and curved so it conforms to your shoulder perfect if you ride a bike or motorcycle.

Basically, if you are a swimmer, soccer, basketball or other sports player and need to keep everything in one bag for your busy lifestyle, this is exactly what this is for. You could fit a ball in here too if you made room. And yes, this is genuine Nike gear.

This is a great bag. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because I would like a front outside pocket. Other than that it is a great bag. It fits in the locker easly and the zippers open smoothly. Room in this bag is not a problem. When i go to the gym I pack a towel, a sweat towel, shoes, jeans, shirt, underwear, swimming gear, shower gear, two water bottels (blender shaker type), flip flops and there is still room. If you are looking for a gym bag this is one you should consider.

I bought this laptop sleeve for my dad for Christmas. When it arrived it wasn't navy like it is in the photo it was bright orange with a navy "AU" logo. It was not ideal for my rather conservative dad to carry to the office. The sleeve was also quite thin and flimsy when compared to other neoprene sleeves I've bought from companies like Speck or InCase. Overall it is okay, but nothing special.

This is an awesome backpack. I was looking for a big backpack that was comfortable enough to handle the heavy load it would be carrying and this pack delivered. This pack has ample room for those looking to hike in multiple climates and carry lots of gear. It is extremely durable, functional and comes with an excellent lifetime warranty.

If you order this pack, i would take the time to go the the Osprey site and check out the sizing, as Amazon only offers the sizing option for the pack itself (the torso length). This pack has Osprey's deluxe custom fit and both the hip-belt and shoulder straps can be swapped out. Call the place shipping the pack to do so. Also, the hip belt can be placed in a special oven and molded to your hips. Just make sure you take the time to get the sizing right and save yourself either a lot of hassle or a lot of pain.

Keep in mind this pack gets heavy when it is filled and if you are looking for something lighter I would go with the smaller Argon series, but if big is what you are looking for then this pack is for you. All around, just a very rugged, sleek pack that is exceptionally comfortable.

Impressive backpack, very well designed and with many possibilities.

Only small concern for a Belgian citizen: where to find a shop with the famous oven.. Quite challenging but I endly found one !

Used this to travel abroad with lots of camera gear. It is large to look at when you catch your reflection, but the weight settles very nicely and it is well balanced. I needed a bag with a good waist belt to get the weight off my shoulders while waiting in lines at the airport. Very comfortable.

Kelty Tactical Peregrine 1800 Backpack

I was torn between this pack and the Kelty Map3500. I decided to go with this pack because of the smaller size, and I'm very pleased with my choice. I would consider the sizing of this bag to be the same as a standard Jansport backpack. The quality of the bag is very high. The stitching is clean and uniform without any loose ends or stray threads. The material used in the construction of the bag feels sturdy without being heavy duty overkill. The shoulder straps are nicely padded without being overly soft. There is a chest strap with a small section of elastic for just the right amount of give. The shoulder straps are also adjustable at the top where they attach to the bag with very heavy duty Velcro. There is also a waist belt, which is 1 inch webbing. The waist belt is removable. The back of the bag is channeled to promote breathability. The back padding is soft, but not overly soft. It is also mesh covered.

The interior of the main compartment has a laptop/hydration bladder sleeve. There is a hydration tube port at the center of the top of the back. My 11" netbook will fit in the sleeve with plenty of room to spare. The front organizer pocket has 4 pen sleeves, one zippered mesh pocket, 2 divided slip pockets, and one large slip pocket. There is also a fleece lined sunglasses pouch in the front pocket. This pouch is held closed with Velcro. On the very front of the bag there is a zippered compartment that would be great for storing smaller, quick access items, or perhaps a lightweight jacket. The daisy chain on the front of the bag seems quite robust with very nice stitching. Also, there is one mesh water bottle slip pocket on each side of the bag. These pockets are held closed with elastic.

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate to buy this, or the larger Kelty Map3500 bag, again!

I've had high hopes for this backpack, especially that it was designed for military/tactical purposes. Maybe it was.. to carry light gear. It's just too flimsy compared to real mil-spec packs. The material nylon that it's made out of is not that durable. Most of the pack is single stitched. I can't imagine carrying heavy load in this pack or putting it through rough field use. The design of the overall compartments is very good. Some pockets here and there. Side pockets for bottles. Straps are ok but are not quick release. Zippers are not as heavy duty as they should be. Made overseas. All in all, it's a decent pack. Deffinately not up to military standards. 3.5 stars.

I bought this backpack to carry items between work and home and on the occasional overnighter. The quality is very good. I like that there is an internal stiffener to help the bag maintain its shape. Additionally, the organizer pockets/pouches in the medium sized storage area are pretty versitile. The water bottle holders on each side are a nice touch. The bag seems to hold a lot more than one would think. I'd buy another one if I had it to do over again.

I think that Peregrine 1800 backpack is a very well made day pack for a high school student. When I purchased mine in the desert tan flavor I thought that I purchasing a tactical day pack. Instead this pack provides slots for pencils, pockets for knickknacks such as small pencil sharpeners and large erasers. It's a high quality back pack for those students that carry a many books around campus and not so much for those seeking a tactical option. Still, the double stitching, embeded frame, and additional straps for back support give this product a very high quality feel.

Bought this for my 10 year old. It is sturdy and has good strong zippers ! My only negative was that I thought it would be a little deeper (from front to back) but he can fit his school papers, 1 binder,a couple library books and his lunch. It wouldn't work well for someone to carry more than that. Was a little crammy when we stuffed shoes and snowpants in as well, this winter.

I bought this backpack for college to carry my books and laptop in. Although i have not left for college yet, i love this backpack! Its nice looking and waterproof so nothing inside can get wet and where I'm going to school it will be raining and snowing a lot. The straps are nicely padded so you can carry a bunch of stuff with out hurting your shoulders. There is also plenty of pockets to put different things in. I don't really know why other reviewers are claiming the zippers are so weak, they're pretty normal if compared to regular $30+ bags. I wouldn't recommend this bag for a schoolkid with the average load of textbooks that I had when I was in grade school (literally 25lbs+ of textbooks and materials daily) but otherwise this bag is perfect. I can throw my gym crap in it, my netbook, and still have room to pack snacks and drinks. The extra pockets on the front and sides allow me to keep all of my other accessories neatly tucked away. I'm using this for uni and motorcycling primarily. The strap is comfortable and adjusts easily, and the range of it is pretty big, so if you're a bigger guy or gal this would be fine for you.

After years of trial and error with nearly every brand of backpacks (local and international), I rarely deviate from buying JanSport (and sometimes Targus, REI and Colombia). This little guy seems to belong to the same category in terms of style, functionality, versatility, and durability as Colombia, although I haven't quite put it throught the stress test (heavy load for 2+ years of abusive use).

It's longer and roomier than my old Colombia sling bag, which was very typical of most sling bags in the market. Unlike the Colombia that allowed for switching the strap from one side to another, this one has a fixed strap (center at the top, to lower left on the back). Nice padding on the back, with plenty of pockets have made it my most frequently used bag on day to day basis.

Since May (it's now August) I have been using this very often and the only thing wrong with it that I can tell is that after stuffing it so much with a hoodie, or school supplies, it has tore a tiny hole in the front pocket from the main pocket. I have owned the bag for about 1 month now. I am in grad school, and need to carry folders with notes (8x11) and an iPad. I also carry some meds, some clothing items, and some food items. This bag is large enough for all that without difficulty. It got crowded with 4 folders (each about 3/4 " thick, 2 text books (about 3" total), the iPad, and gym shorts and shirt (but the zipper still closed without much effort). It seems well made so far. The shoulder pad is comfortable. There are several pockets to carry items. The small one in the front is perhaps smaller than I would like, but overall is a great bag. For the price it is exceptional unless it falls apart in a few months. I think for your average student this would be great (I was worried that it might be too small, but it is a very generous size).

Update for 5/2013.. Have been using for a couple of years now, and it has held up great. Padding on the shoulder strap is not quite as full, but I carry a lot of stuff as noted. I have also been taking my MacBook Pro 15" screen in it, and it handles the size (I can't close it all the way though), and the weight well. If they keep the build quality up, this is an easy recommendation from my standpoint.

This is my first review ever posted and for me to do all this work you know something is wrong. All I carry is a 32 oz water bottle in the bag and the fabric started to rip open 3 times already( sew repair). I also notice other places started to rip. Very cheap material even on very light use.
