Storm Mesh Backpack Bag for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling or Water Sports
I think this back is great and can't wait to use it!I am a new diver and so I needed a bag to haul my gear back and forth to class. This bag was great because it met all of my needs without being too pricey. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Hello Kitty Small Backpack
However... THIS ITEM IS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL SCHOOL MATERIAL. I can fit the bendy folder by tucking in the corners. I can fit the lunchbox and a sweater in behind the folder. I can fit a snack in the side pocket and a few accessories in the front pocket. I cannot fit a regular-sized stiff binder or a large book and your child is bound to be asked to carry one at some point. The backpack simply does not have enough height and the corners are too rounded for the zipper to close around those objects. For this I'm docking only one point because my planning is at fault as much as the description is unhelpful but I do wish I'd known this beforehand. So here's the heads-up for parents of kids who actually go to school: It's a very nice backpack but there's a good chance that it's not going to work for you as more than a toy.
Edit: I'm eating my words at the beginning of this review. Docked one more point for durability because the backpack's fabric is showing signs of wear similar to laddering... I can almost see daylight through the folds and creases on the bottom. My kid is not rough on her stuff, this is the consequence of normal use for half a year.

My daughter loves her new pack. She has used it for her day hikes and no complaints. Has enough pockets to put everything we need in it for her hikes ad easy to get into while she still has it onI purchased the backpack as a Christmas present for my niece. She loved it so much that she wouldn't take it off and wanted to sleep with it. It's the perfect size for small girls.I love the size of this backpack! It's perfect for my 3 year old to take to preschool. I gave 4 stars on durability just because we haven't used it yet. Finally a backpack that isn't too small,(won't fit anything) but isn't too big for her to carry.Tuesday, July 8, 2014

My husband loves this bag. He usually carries a black book bag to work or out in town but its so big. When I saw this I knew it would be perfect. It is perfect for his ipad ipod and paperwork he needs and it is still manly. We took it to Thailand and it was perfect for beach things as well. We rode on a motor bike there and it fits snuggly in the compact space or on his back without hesitation.Read Best Reviews of Bags for LessTM Padded Sling Backpack Sports Bag Here

I got this bag for my son for school. His other bookbag fell apart after only a few months into school. I am VERY PLEASED with this bag. It is constructed well and he has been using it since Christmas. He LOVES it! It has plenty of room for his folders, lunch box, and other items that might get stuck in there (projects, sweatshirts, etc.).Monday, March 3, 2014
Leyden and Sons Leather Bag Co. - Williamsburg Satchel

If Indiana Jones bought a satchel in 2012, THIS would be the one he would pick! Not only is the bag amazingly well-constructed with high quality threads and leather, the hardware exceeded my expectation as well. There is nothing about it I would change, down to the suede lining on the inside main compartment. The side pocket is perfect for a smartphone or portable hard drive, and there is even a strap inside with a clasp on the end that can be used to retain keys, etc, which is not shown in the ad. The double padded strap is super thick and comfortable, and I believe that this bag will endure many seasons. What was even more impressive is the length that LS goes to for package presentation. When I saw a stencil-spray painted "LS" on the outside of the box, I thought, "oh, how cute, they made it look like a crate." When I opened it up, I thought, "WOW, THIS LOOKS LIKE A FREAKIN AWESOME CIRCA-1930s INTERNATIONAL EXPLORER CRATE, COMPLETE WITH RAFFIA STRAW FOR PADDING, BURLAP FOR CHAFE PROTECTION AND JUTE TWINE FOR BINDING IT ALL TOGETHER!!!" To make it even better, the invoice, neatly tucked under the twine, also was accompanied by a page-long hand-written thank-you letter from LS. I can say this with confidence, because the punctuation makes are all distinctly different throughout the letter, along with ink thickness and darkness variations thoughout, which would otherwise not occur with a computer printer. These people ARE NOT lazy. I give them that. They really try and seem to be very concerned for the end customer's satisfaction. I think that I'll add a little snow seal to waterproof and a small layer of padding in the bottom for my laptop, and we'll be good to go for a long time.Read Best Reviews of Leyden and Sons Leather Bag Co. - Williamsburg Satchel Here
I bought this item for my son's 21st. I was late in ordering, and din't expect to have it arrive on time. However the combination of an obviously extremely professional team and Leyden and Sons and good postal services from both the USA and New Zealand led to the item arriving very promptly. I ordered it on 29 October and it arrived on my doorstep in New Zealand on 10 November. Now for the best part, the satchel exceeded all expectations. My son Duncan absolutely loves it. He is an Industrial Design and Philosophy student at Victoria University here in Wellington New Zealand (so he knows a little about good design, sustainability, customer satisfaction, ethical manufacturing, etc etc!!) and he couldn't fault it. Thank you for a beautiful piece of craftmanship.Regards, Michelle

Let me start off by saying that this is, for the most part, a great bag. I received it today, and it came as described. Wrapped in burlap and twine, packed with straw, etc. The experience of opening the box is pretty cool.I have two co-workers with $600+ Saddleback bags. This Leyden and Sons bag is about 90% quality-wise compared to theirs. The leather is a little thinner in places, and the edges are a little rougher her and there, but the construction is just as solid: thick stitching thread, hefty leather, reinforcing rivets, sturdy buckles... I'm pleased with all of that.
The rivets are a mix of standard and screw in (phillips head on one side, flat rivet on the other). I checked all of them with my screwdriver and they seem secure; I don't have any immediate concerns about them. The bag strap appears to be a carryover from the rest of the line. It has the dual shoulder pads that would typically be used on the backpack configuration of some of the high-end bag clones, but since this messenger-style bag lacks all of the extra loops and connector points, the second shoulder pad is useless. Of course, it's a piece of cake to undo the buckle and just slide it right off.
Overall, the only issue that I have with this bag is the excessive dye transfer I've experienced. This thing arrives feeling like it's come straight from the tanner: it's oily and even moist to the touch. DO NOT use this with a white shirt and khakis on day 1. I know that I can do some things to mitigate the dye transfer, but ultimately it's going to take some serious breaking-in to get this thing to the point where I can throw it over my shoulder in the morning without worrying about ruining a shirt. I also tested the interior by throwing a few blank papers in with my notebook when I cam home with the bag today. Sure enough, the papers came out with noticeable oil marks.
Overall, I would still recommend a Leyden and Sons bag, but you have to know what to look out for.

Hazard 4 Bags Kato Tablet Mini Messenger Bag - Black
The bag is rugged, well-constructed, has good PALS / MOLLE webbing on it to which I attached my Maxpedition Fatty Pocket Organizer to, and it's able to hold a LOT of easy-to-access EDC items. The over-the-shoulder sling is of good quality just like the rest of the bag, and the locking clip that holds it all together is a good addition as well.
One very nice feature is that, when opened, it presents you with an administrative fold-down for maps, notes, and other tools that a good messenger bag would have. It is one of the things that sets this bag apart from many others. It has replaced my Neatfreak as my EDC bag and I've been using it for about a Month now. I'm a very satisfied customer.
The video is my "unboxing" video, and I hope you enjoy it.I just received this bag today and feel it has great construction and materials. It was larger than I thought it would be, given the word MINI in its name... I actually expected it to be half the size. If I saw this in the store, I would not have purchased it given its large is larger than what I needed. But for someone that needs to store larger items and/or likes the well documented size, it is a very solid bag, with lots of fine details that you will appreciate. I will keep the bag and find a use for it, but I will continue to also look for a smaller bag to meet my own needs. The price is good, and the product was clearly new. The box it came in was previously used, which is fine, and protected the contents good enough.

I had my mind made up on another well known tactical bag,but the masterful design and quality construction of this bag won me over. Its not bulky but very sleek and full of pockets: that wonderful administrative pocket that folds out with an assortment of pockets for pens, pencils, personal documents or maps that can be enclosed in the special plastic window for displaying or viewing. The design of this administrative pocket has been so well designed that when you get ready to close this pocket, the support straps fold out of the way without getting caught in the zippers!! Two pockets for computers:One padded pocket in the main part of this bag for a Macbook Air 11" laptop and a special lockable compartment with water proof zipper on the outside of this bag for your iPad! The other outside pocket though not hidden like its competitors:Maxpedition and 5.11 Tactical, houses your CCW. The design on the front of this pocket with the velcro for removeable logos breaks up the visual profile so that your CCW imprint doesn't show through and nobody would ever guess what you have in this compartment! The MOLLE under the outside flap makes it possible for you to attach more accessories and the small zippered bag that's encluded on the side of this bag is a great asset also! D rings Padded shoulder strap and special locking buckle and high quality zippers complete this wonderful bag! Thanks AMAZON for such a high quality product.Want Hazard 4 Bags Kato Tablet Mini Messenger Bag - Black Discount?
Great bag for the size. Perfect for my kindle fire. I carry a lot of small items for my job and this bag has been the best. The only complaint is the front flap/pocket gets a bit heavy when loaded with items. Pass through zipper to inner pocket is a nice touch.Thursday, February 27, 2014

Official US Military Surplus ACU Molle II Large RuckSack Backpack
Some sellers have a very strange system for rating surplus items. VERY GOOD is more like VERY POOR CONDITION. But that is not the case with HANSBOROUGH ENTERPRISES. I am pleased and impressed with the description and pack.

I was a little worried if the pack was large enough for me. Don't be fooled by the picture. This pack is HUGE and makes an awesome B.O.B. You won't find one better for the asking price!!!Read Best Reviews of Official US Military Surplus ACU Molle II Large RuckSack Backpack Here
This is the best backpack I've ever owned, civilian or mil spec. It is durable, roomy, water resistant, expandable with the Molle system, and I think it will last a very long time. This is the real deal, not a knock off. Compared to Vietnam era ALICE gear, this is an incredible improvement. The frame is durable thick impact resistant plastic but not too heavy. The hip belt is comfortable, and the pack adjusts well on the frame with it's various straps. It doesn't rub the wrong way, it sits nicely on the shoulders and hips. It has areas all over it to strap a rifle, entrenching tool, radio, walking stick, or ice ax on it out of the way. Sternum strap is comfortable and has a quick release. It has a nice carry strap on top. It is a wide, not tall pack. It easily holds enough gear for a week long trip. It is easy to get into with it's over sized zippers that do not jam. The zippers have durable pull tabs. Also, you look like a boss who means business wearing this pack, not like a little girl going to a slumber party. I think it weighs about 12 lbs empty. This pack wouldn't be good for kids or petite persons, but I think it's about perfect for the average sized male, as designed.I do wish the draw strings were braided cord instead of old style shoe string type draw strings and plastic clasp the pack comes with, as they are already getting worn after just two weekend outings. I'll probably replace the draw stings with para-cord now that I think about it, with a spring loaded clasp you see on civilian packs and jackets, or even some Velcro on the side pockets (which is used on the top flap) because I'm worried that small items could fall out of the large side bags attached with the current draw strings when the pack is turned upside down.
The inside has a big zipper so you can make it one big rucksack, or divide the inside into separate top and bottom compartments if you want. I stuff the fall rated black sleeping bag from the modular sleeping bag system into the bottom compartment easily. It won't hold more than maybe the summer bag and the bivy sack though inside the pack itself. The pack does not have any internal frame. There are a lot of straps on this pack, so you have to take some time to optimize them, remove the straps you don't need and secure the ones you do so they won't get caught on things, as with any pack.

The North Face Big Shot Backpack
I have also used the pack for a trip. It served as a day pack and as my general travel pack for the flight to my location. The pack works great. The to exterior pockets fit my Nalgene bottles well and secure them when I am moving about. Additionally, the pack was able to carry all of the necessities for a day of hiking.
The only downside that I have found is the lack of organization in the pockets. The main compartment has an organizer which is pretty helpful for school (pens, pencils, calculator, etc). However, the pockets are oddly sized for putting trail gear (mess kit, bug spray, extra socks, etc). The two front zippered pockets are helpful for these things, but they too lack the organization. They open up to two separate overlaying pockets that are almost as wide as the front of the bag.
Overall, I would recommend this bag to people looking for versatility. It serves really well as a school/work backpack. It is comfortable and fairly largely sized, so it also crosses over into a day pack / short weekend pack very easily. The great versatility and size are a huge plus.

Brenthaven 2071102 Expandable Trek Backpack for Notebooks / Ultrabook up to 15.6-Inch - Titanium
Until the zipper went out for the main compartment I would have rated it 4 or 5 stars for sure. But since the zipper went out its now nothing but a useless dud, so thus the 1-star rating. Bummer. And that was after very little use.
I contacted Brenthaven about having it repaired, and they've provided me a return authorization #, and asked me to ship the bag to them for repairs. Ok, I will, but it is an inconvenince, it costs money, and it takes time to get it fixed. It is something that should have never happened in what is billed as a quality product. After all, my Rick Steves cheapo backpack has gone through years of hard use with nary a problem, and it was only $15. Sigh.
UPDATE: I just received back 'my' backpack from Brenthaven, and I have to say that their customer service was superb. Not only was their turn-around time incredibly quick, they actually 'repaired' my bag by replacing it with the latest model. I'm impressed. I also noticed that the new version has much more rugged zippers, as well as a few new additional features. Way to go Brenthaven! Although the Amazon rating system doesn't allow for it, if I could I'd raise my rating to 4-stars based on Brenthaven's customer service(not 5-stars because I believe it shouldn't have failed to begin with).I purchased this bag as a replacement to the Swiss Gear Laptop backpack which I had for 7 years or so. The old Swiss Gear had plenty of space and was very functional and when loaded up wore, well on my shoulders. I searched for a new bag for several weeks, checking pics, reading reviews, and shopping in brick and mortar stores as well as online with ebags, Amazon and company websites.
What I carry:
I typically travel with 1 to 2 laptops, power units, Ipod, Ipod charger, Ipod battery backup, Headset (over the ear) cell phone & charger, work files, a book or two to read and one or two magazines, Foreign Affairs or Dwell, etc...I usually have a small bottle of advil and cough drops handy, also business cards, and pens, glasses, sunglasses, and small calculator. Lately, i have been bringing a small hard drive, and all the additional cables you may want to use with a laptop, (USB, firewire, etc...).
Bag review: The total bag construction is solid, and lighter than my old Swiss Gear. The bag has a main compartment, small fleece lined pocket, second expandable compartment, outside back lower compartment, 2 vertical zipper pockets (small), two outside zipper pockets on either side of the bag, and a small Ipod pocket on the top neckside of the bag.
Main compartment storage-> There are plenty of pockets to store all the little stuff in the main compartment but I wish the small compartments were mesh, so you could see everything, and also had a velcro closer so things do not spill out when the bag is thrown around in an airline cabin. This is also where you would store small files and books. The main compartment zipper opening is adequate, but the opening could be larger. The laptop protection sleeve is here and is superior to the Swiss Gear.
The small fleece lined zippered pocket is adequate but the real advantage here is the quick access. I wish it was 10% to 20% bigger. The second deep compartment is expandable. I use it for magazines, glass cases, small books, etc...It is useful and has good zipper access. The outside back lower compartment is where all your pens, calculator, cough drops, house keys, garage door remote ( i never leave mine in the car at the airport), business cards, and other small stuff go. I have adapted to using this very well and so will anyone.
There two vertical zippers pockets on either side of the lower back compartment and i have found useful for segmenting the Ipod cables and computer cables i always carry. The two left and right outside zipperd pockets are just large enough for the two computer power units. The two mesh water bottles on each of these are worthless and Brenthaven needs to re-design these. The small Ipod pocket on the top inside ( up by your neck area, where your back meets the pack) is a nice addition and you can run the small ear buds directly out of it to your ears while you hike or walk with the bag ( i do not use it but it is a nice feature for some).
I really like the way this pack wears on my shoulders and back. It has excellent ergonomics and is very comfortable when loaded down. I am 6' 1", 187lbs and simply do not feel sore after wearing this bag loaded down for some time. Overall this is a solid performing bag and hope to get years of use from it. The titanium and black color combination looks good too, it is a cross between business casual and urban survival. This is the second Brenthaven Trek backpack I purchased. The first was for my personal Mac Book. When it came time to purchase one for my work laptop it just seemed logical. It has storage galore. Plenty of little pockets for storing flash drives, mice, accessories and power supplies. In fact, when going on vacation I pack both my work and personal computer in one bag. There is plenty of room for both PLUS everything else and it fits nicely on the plane under the seat. This is an excellent backpack--it is very sturdy and well-built. I carry a huge book load to and from medical school and this backpack easily handles the 50+ pounds. The computer storage is safe and well-padded. The shoulder straps are very sturdy and very comfortable even with heavy weights. Zippers are all high quality. I would strongly recommend this backpack over pretty much anything I have ever had/seen before.I use this BP everyday in the field doing maintenance on wireless cell sites which includes working on Catalina Island.
The need for a BP that was:
Strong enough to hold all my items
Plenty of extra pockets for small test eq. items, misc. hand tools
Dependable top handle to use for hoisting the bag up ladders etc.
Professional looking too
So far I have had great success with this BP.
Items for concern are:
Too small of an opening for the front pocket. Needs to have a larger diameter.
Top pouch to be a little deeper.
Side mesh pockets to be taller and more flexible but still have a firm grip on water bottels, meters etc.

High Sierra 21 Wheeled Carry-On w/Compu-Sleeve
And add the backpack straps if you need them to get the perfect travel bag!I have owned a High Seirra wheeled carry-on for around 10 years. I fly over 50k miles a year and I have really liked the unit I had. That is why I choose to buy another from HS. This unit is of similar quality but does not have one pocket that is show in this picture. The little pocket on the top, adjacent the handle is missing. I know it's not that big of a deal but I want it, I thought I was getting it and it is missing!
I also don't really like the zipper operation as it relates to the "book style" opening. It is difficult at time to get the zipper around the internal frame at the bottom of the unit. But with a little exercise in patience (which is a good lesson for me anyway) it really isn't THAT difficult! I was going to send the unit back but as many other options are far more expensive I decided in the end to keep it.
The book style opening does allow for easier packing than my old one which is a plus. This pack does fit with ease in the smaller overhead compartments of many of Alaska Airlines older jets (747-400). This pack is often all I take with me on trips and it handles what I need well. When I do bring additional luggage the shoulder straps are very convenient!

Powerbag Business Class Laptop Backpack with Battery for Charging Smartphones, Tablets and eReaders
It is easy to carry, not too heavy unless you really overpack it. Because of the charging battery, it doesn't have a huge amount of space, but it's adequate to bring all the stuff you really need to carry onto the plane. I would definitely recommend this.
The laptop holder section does unzip from the rest of the backpack, and the U.S. airports did let us run it through the scanner without removing the laptop. The foreign airports did not.Does everything it says it does....would recommend it. Was able to charge my iPad, iPhone and Blackberry all at the same timeHave been using this bag for the past week or so. I do like the fact that there are numerous pockets throughout this bag to store all of your gadgets, and office gear. The bag looks good, but not sure how durable it will be compared to the SwissGear bags that I have used in the past. The chargeing function is the main reason for switching, and I look forward to using this bag on a daily basis.

Urban Sport Polyester Multiple Compartment Messenger Cross Body Outdoor Biking Backpack - 3 Color O
It's longer and roomier than my old Colombia sling bag, which was very typical of most sling bags in the market. Unlike the Colombia that allowed for switching the strap from one side to another, this one has a fixed strap (center at the top, to lower left on the back). Nice padding on the back, with plenty of pockets have made it my most frequently used bag on day to day basis.I'm a 15-yr old kid and I use this for school and casual use, just carrying around some paperbacks, a journal, and maybe a hoddie. Since May (it's now August) I have been using this very often and the only thing wrong with it that I can tell is that after stuffing it so much with a hoodie, or school supplies, it has tore a tiny hole in the front pocket from the main pocket. Other than that, this thing is great and I love. Price is awesome too.I have owned the bag for about 1 month now. I am in grad school, and need to carry folders with notes (8x11) and an iPad. I also carry some meds, some clothing items, and some food items. This bag is large enough for all that without difficulty. It got crowded with 4 folders (each about 3/4 " thick, 2 text books (about 3" total), the iPad, and gym shorts and shirt (but the zipper still closed without much effort). It seems well made so far. The shoulder pad is comfortable. There are several pockets to carry items. The small one in the front is perhaps smaller than I would like, but overall is a great bag. For the price it is exceptional unless it falls apart in a few months. I think for your average student this would be great (I was worried that it might be too small, but it is a very generous size).
Update for 5/2013.. Have been using for a couple of years now, and it has held up great. Padding on the shoulder strap is not quite as full, but I carry a lot of stuff as noted. I have also been taking my MacBook Pro 15" screen in it, and it handles the size (I can't close it all the way though), and the weight well. If they keep the build quality up, this is an easy recommendation from my standpoint. This is my first review ever posted and for me to do all this work you know something is wrong. All I carry is a 32 oz water bottle in the bag and the fabric started to rip open 3 times already( sew repair). I also notice other places started to rip. Very cheap material even on very light use.
