Tri-color Sports Pack Drawstring Backpack Book Tote Bag Durable & Stylish, Blue

Tri-color Sports Pack Drawstring Backpack Book Tote Bag Durable & Stylish, BlueThe design is great. It's a lovely bag for a small lunch and some accessories. Having the waterbottle pouch on the outside is handy when hiking (easy reach), and the bottle stays upright, not sloshing around inside the bag with, I dunno, dry socks and such.

The issue we had is we put in a 12 oz water bottle, full, a small bag of snacks (couple of granola bars and some baked chips, two apples). We didn't make it half a mile on the hike when the bottom cord came loose from the bag. Just pulled right out. I could get it fixed, but I don't know that I'd bother. We purchased some other string bags that used flat ribbon-tape instead of strings, and they've been superb. I won't buy this style again.

Logitech Kinetik 15.4 Backpack

Logitech Kinetik 15.4 BackpackThis is a sharp looking backpack with a lot of nice features and room for slender items like folders and paperwork and slim binders. The zippers throughout the backpack are smooth and travel well, with few hang-ups. The exo-shell casing definitely contributes to the clean-cut look, but there are some drawbacks to this exo-shell design depending on your intended use.

I travel full time and my old backpack had a laptop section and then a cavernous main storage space where I could place all my gadgets and smaller hardware devices (I'm a network engineer, so I need things like spare network cables, a small network switch, and other small gear like that, as well as the ever-present wireless mouse, power brick for my laptop and a drawstring pouch big enough to carry my iPod essentials).

There are many little pouches and slits/slots for paperwork-style stuff or binders, but the only real place to keep my bulky gadgets is in the netted pocket on the lower portion of the inside of the shell. This works well enough, but because all of this weight is distributed to the front of the backpack, it has a tendency to tip over forwards when set down (even with the laptop providing counterbalance in the middle-back section of the backpack). This sort of defeats the advertised free-standing feature of this backpack. I found myself having to lean it against something or brace it in some way to keep it from falling over when not slung over my shoulder. It behaved better when fully opened and unloaded of my bulky gear, but even then it would tip forwards sometimes.

Another problem is that in order to access anything inside of the main compartments, you have to pretty much unzip it all the way, because the stiff exo-shell prevents any attempts for quick access. You might find yourself wrestling with the backpack when you're doing this, to keep it upright, because of the aforementioned problem with weight distribution. If you want easy access to anything you're carrying in this backpack, keep it in one of the smaller external zippered compartments

If you're an air traveler (like me), be warned: you may sometimes have trouble stowing this backpack on the plane because of its exo-shell. The rigid design doesn't let you squeeze it into tight spaces that would be handled just fine by an otherwise full fabric backpack (especially on those smaller regional jets with very small overheads and cramped under-seat storage).

Something that is completely missing is a side pocket for a water bottle. Lots of backpacks have these nowadays, and my old one had two mesh ones. This one has none, and no alternative external pouch.

While these things are a negative for my purposes, this is still, overall, a very nice backpack. The exo-shell definitely gives it a sleek, sharp look, and the fabric is a good quality ballistic nylon. The shoulder straps are connected along the full length of the top section of the backpack, which I feel would make it hold up very well over time, as most "traditional" backpack straps are separate and can eventually fray and come loose from the body of the backpack, requiring repair.

As far as externally-accessible compartments, the right strap contains a zippered compartment for a small/slender MP3 player or phone and a headphone port. This little compartment could also feasibly hold folded up paperwork like a boarding pass or your ID (for all those air travelers out there), giving quick and easy access that doesn't require you to un-shoulder the backpack.

There is a side zipper on the left side along the back that serves as the "official" quick-access storage compartment. It can hold more paperwork than the shoulder strap compartment and was designed specifically for this purpose.

A zippered compartment on the top of the backpack expands into the rear (laptop) compartment directly above the laptop sleeve. It makes for your best externally accessible storage for miscellaneous items.

For the main compartments, the rear compartment holds the padded laptop storage sleeve with Velcro strap on the inner wall, along with two slender storage slots for paperwork on the outer wall (the back of the backpack). I keep a notepad in the lower, full-size one. The half-size pouch above it is a tight sleeve and only good for thin items or paperwork.

The forward main compartment has a thin zippered pouch on the top of the inner wall and a good-sized sleeve about two inches wide, big enough for a binder, bunch of folders, or in my case, my spare network cables and small three-plug power cord. On the outside face of this pouch is a small elastic pouch, three pen sleeves, a bunch of business card sleeves, and a clip for things like your key ring or similar item. Opposite of this is the inside of the exo-shell, which at the top has two Velcro-sealed pouches side by side, each with graphics on them suggesting possible items you may want to keep there (iPod, small camera, mouse, webcam, thumb drives, etc). These are nice little pouches and I like them, but putting stuff in them contributes to the forward-leaning weight of the backpack. Below these two pouches is the main storage area for anything large. An elastic-rimmed mesh pouch covers it about halfway to the top, and it's good for carrying the laptop power brick and anything else of that size.

With all that said I would recommend this backpack to anyone that doesn't need to carry a lot of extra hardware beyond the laptop, laptop power brick, a mouse, and maybe another small electronic device like a camera and/or iPod. If you need more gadget space and less filing space for folders/paperwork/binders, or are thinking of using this for frequent business travel on airplanes, keep looking, otherwise, this backpack will serve you well and look good doing it. Just remember to load-balance it so it doesn't fall on its face.

This is a very nice piece. Very comfortable to wear, even when completely loaded. I absolutely love the design, but then, I have hots for mesh fabrics. It does have beautiful shiny orange-colored padded back. Inside it is very roomy and yet secures not one but two laptops. I have to carry two laptops and a binder during my work day. This backpack does a great job.

Multimedia wise it was designed with you in mind: the pocket for the MP3 player (I have Classic iPod) is roomy and is located in one of the shoulder straps. This allows you to access your player without having to take your backpack off. In my opinion very smart and humane idea.

However.... with all my kudos to the makers of this great backpack, I have to mention one flaw. The outer shell is nice a matte but is very easily scratched. It takes a light tangential bump into a furniture or a wall or somebody's backpack (especially if you are a student, as I am) to leave a scratch. The worst part is all the scratches come out white. Very annoying. I am starting to think I will need some stickers to cover those ugly scratches... or maybe some shoe polish.

Other than that I love this backpack.

I purchased this backpack at risk for a 17 inch dell m6300 series laptop. To save anyone the search, the m6300 has the following measurements:

D: 11.3

W: 15.5

H: 1.6

Well, I will say that it does fit into the padded compartment, just barely. It's Tight going in, and a bit tighter coming out. It may not be the safest way to carry a 17 inch laptop, being so tight, but it works for me.

The shoulder compartment for the MP3 played won't quite fit a 4th gen Ipod, but does make a nice stash spot for Jump drives, dongles and the such. All and all, it gives enough room for the laptop, power supply, mouse, A couple notebooks. a binder, and various odds and end.

The hidden compartment on the back is big enough for passports and (folded) traveling papers. The bag packed full will fit into most all carry on size check cages. Although, security will have fun making you clear out all the half hidden pockets.

The bag is well balanced, has a good amount of support, and comfortable for travel. The scuffing mentioned elsewhere is a real issue. The shell coating seems to be neoprene. For anyone who hasn't used a neoprene in the past, it is awesome in that is nigh impossible to put a permanent mark on. However, it also gets temporary marks easily. With the right amount of elbow grease and water, (or mostly any other non-astringent cleaner) you can get almost any mark out. All and all I am happy with my purchase.

I just received this bag and from the start I can tell its a keeper. While I only have a netbook, I was in the market to buy a hardshell backpack that I could use while biking to school. I figured that if I took one bad fall, my netbook and I were in for pain.

That is till I came across the Kintek. It offer amazing protection. The Exo-shell is just amazing. It's rigid enough to withstand hard impacts(or punches) but shows some very subtle signs of flexing(which is a good thing in my opinion). My only gripe with the backpack is that it doesn't have a pouch on the side for water bottles which I use often.

The bag also offers so much space in such a small package; Every part of this bag is used to effectively that I wish I could purchase several of these bags for if/when this one becomes destroyed.

I simply love this bag and can only wonder why Logitech doesn't offer it on their website.

If Batman were to use a backpack, he'd use a Logitech Kinetik.

This bag can comfortably accommodate my 17" dell laptop and all of the other junk that i feel i need to haul around with me. Too often the what you see on the internet turns out to be a little to big in the flesh if you know what i mean. Not so here. Additionally, its very comfortable for short to medium distances, has plenty of storage compartments that can be reconfigured (a few more compartments like that would make it great), and draws lots of interest with the shell and striking colors. The only downfall so far has been the scuff marks to the shell from my desk, doors, and walls. the white scuffs prove difficult to remove.

Asolo Village Sling 7-Liter Daypack

Asolo Village Sling 7-Liter DaypackMy husband and I are always looking for better bags for geocaching. We've gone thru several. I've even used small lunchboxes. I like how it is small and very comfortable. I can even stick my gps in the pocket in the front when I don't have my gps on. When it is in use I can hook it to one of the many hooks on the front.

Only thing I don't like is how easy someone behind me can access my bag too. Wish there was a way to lock it in the closed position with small locks or something.

I'm very glad I found this bag because it's ideal for my needs . It holds 3 20oz sport drink bottles side by side perfectly in the main compartment with enough space above them for an extra t-shirt or a hand towel, the pouch on the strap holds my phone and keys, and I use the outer compartment for concealed carry (Kel-tec PF9. I don't think a full-size will fit, but I haven't tried.). There are also 2 smaller compartments within the larger one. One has a zipper, and the other has a velcro strap to close it. However, I only use the zipper (for all the other crap I normally keep in my pockets) one because they are arranged one on top of the other, which limits their use when the main compartment is full. I can't comment on durability since I've only had the bag for 3 days, but it seems well-made and strong enough for its size.

I got this bag to use as a sling purse. I wanted something that would hold my stuff plus my son's glucometer and other diabetic supplies. It is perfect. Not too big, not too small. I have the following in it if anyone wants to be able to picture what it will hold. (of course, you have to know what some of this stuff is to picture it)

Billfold, chapstick, small box of mints, pack of gum, eye drops (4 oz.), glucometer test kit, M&M minis tube, remote for son's insulin pump, three insets (site changes for pump), various alcohol wipes, IV3000, etc., granola bar, keys. I *think* that is everything. It also holds my cell phone and iPod touch in the front pouch meant for a cell phone. Great little bag!

I love how it unclips so I don't have to put the strap over my head to get it on or off, and how I can slide it around to the front to get into it without taking it off. I've finally found the perfect purse!

Although it doesn't make a good alternative for a backpack or messenger bag, this sling is lightweight, durable, and waterproof. I'm a student, and I'm able to hold all the things I need on a day to day basis, such as my clutch-sized wallet, Droid X, iPod, and a small notebook (all decently sized items). I've even managed to fit my WD desktop-size external hard drive in the bag at one point. As a last note, I'd say that the cell phone pocket is more of a keys pocket--most phones won't be able to fit in a pocket that size. The only downside, I'd say, is I try to put more stuff in there than I can manage because I want to take it everywhere with me. :) A great alternative for people who need something purse-sized but hate the strap always falling down. Definitely 5 stars.

Olympia Luggage Kauai 3 Piece Hybrid Set

Olympia Luggage Kauai 3 Piece Hybrid Set, Red, One SizeI love this luggage set. I thought it was red, blue and white, but it is actually red, black and white which is fine as well. I haven't used it yet, but I will be traveling to Europe and it appears that this is luggage that is durable yet fashionable at an affordable price. I'm pleased with the appearance of it.

Smooth MX Superstars Backpack Blue 3119-109

Smooth MX Superstars Backpack Blue 3119-109My son transferred to a new preschool about 3-months ago and at his new school, most of the kids carry backpacks. So he wanted one too! My husband really wanted him to have something more "big kid" and less "cutesy" and preferably motorcross themed. But most of the big kid packs are too big for a 3 yr old so we ordered this one. It is the perfect size for my 3 1/2 yr old. It just covers his back. My little man thinks he is so cool and wants to take his backpack everywhere he goes! My husband thinks it's pretty cool too. It's made very well and has lots of room to hold all of this things. Aside from the the main pack itself, there's a pouch in front and a netted holder on the side that can carry a small bottle of water. We are very happy with our purchase.

Merlin BBC Series Exclusive Official Licensed Backpack

Merlin BBC Series Exclusive Official Licensed Backpack
  • Exclusive, official, fully licensed item

Firstly, I have to admit -I did not purchase this backpack. A dear friend of mine did. I am simply here just for a suggestion:

I think the backpack should just be Collin Morgan's face with his ears as pockets.

If that were the case, then I would give this product five stars instead of four.

I started using this backpack a week ago, and I'm loving it! Even though it's small, it fits what I need. I figure if it can fit my huge book of the complete works of Shakespeare (which it does easily, and with room for more), it can fit anything.

My only problem with the backpack is the smell, which was really overwhelming at first and still hasn't fully dissipated, even though I've aired it out a few times and even tried febrezing it.

As a Merlin fangirl, I think the backpack is perfect. :) The person who commented before me had an interesting idea about putting Colin Morgan's face on the front and his ears as the bottle holders on the sides. I would consider buying that, even though I probably wouldn't use it much because I would feel like a creeper.

The backpack was delivered in a timely manner, and it seems sturdy and well-made.

My 6 year-old is a big fan of Merlin. He wanted Merlin bed sets and all, but was totally out of luck...until I found this backpack!! The item was shipped from UK, arrived promptly without damage, and is now being worn by my son everyday! He absolutely loves it!! He shares the Merlin stories with his buddies and is absolutely thrilled with his little backpack. The backpack is a bit smaller than the usual school packs, but perfect for a Kindergartener or lower school kids. It fits his folder and lunch bag, along with his overcoat. It's as sturdy as any backpack can be, and we're very happy with the product. Thank you to ScificollectorUSA for carrying this item!! Bed sheets next, please!

To approximate the size of this bag, I fit a pair of size 8 men's trainers in it comfortably in the main pocket but not much else beyond that would fit. This is not the same size as bags found in stores like Target or Walmart marketed towards primary school kids at the end of summer. It's smaller. Personally, I've found that it serves a wonderful purpose sitting in my locker at work and keeping all my supplies organized and neater than the bag I'd had in there. Supplies in this case being my first aid kit, coloured pencils, pencil box, and whatever sock I happen to be knitting. Seeing as this is why I purchased it, it suits my needs wonderfully and should last a good long time simply because it won't actually be going anywhere.

I absolutely adore this bag if only because it's something more interesting to look at than grey cube walls all night. It seems to be sturdily constructed, but I highly doubt it would last the intended audience of use longer than a year and a half.

On an aesthetic note, the dragon has a totally creepster look on its face and once you see it, you cannot unsee it. Caveat Emptor Draconis Creepatoris!

Smaller size but still fits all a 1st grader or younger would need. Lightweight good quality. Very unique and perfect for the young Merlin fan.

DURAGADGET Executive Lightweight Laptop / Notebook Trolley bag with Heavy duty telescopic handle fo

DURAGADGET Executive Lightweight Laptop / Notebook Trolley bag with Heavy duty telescopic handle for Lenovo Toshiba Tecra M10-18M 14.1'I'm a frequent traveler with a bad back. This bag is very light and easily holds my netbook, and clothes for a three day trip. I can easily lift this into the overhead compartment. I highly recommend this bag. Time will tell how well it holds up to frequent use.

If you want features, don't get this but I was looking for something relatively inexpensive that would tote my computer in a vertical position and this fit the bill. What it lacks in features it made up for in price. On the flip side, one of the zippers sticks, there is no holder for drinks, and the telescoping handle may be too lightweight... mine has already bent slightly. But for the price, I'm satisfied. I had to wait a very long time (6-8 wks, I believe) to receive this.

TYR Elite Transition Backpack

TYR Elite Convoy Transition Backpack - White/BlackIf you are a tri athelite looking for a bag to help divide up all the individuals needs for an event this is your back. It divides up into three compartments and slips easily under the bike for storage in between events. It has nine compartments for all your individual needs to stow stuff. The neat thing about it is that it has an adustable back to adjust for various heights. It wears like a back pack and it has a waist strap to secure to yourself to help keep the load off the back. Highly recommend.

I really like TYR, and I was very hopeful that this bag would be amazing. I really like the concept of how it opens so you can easily store and access all your gear. But it has so many plastic clips to try and hold everything together and it just never seems very solid. When not on race day I was hoping to use this bag on my towny and carring my bike chain and lock. But they way it is made it's simply not good and holding any heavy items. Also one of the plastic clips broke within a week.

I am returning the bag. Hopefully TYR will fix some of the short falls of the bag soon.

And in theory, great concept, but practically does not work as well. Triathletes are about speed, simplicity and reducing the variables; this pack conceptual theory embodies that, but not practically. I think there are way too many straps; they take time to fasten and then they get in the way. Personally, I am disappointed especially as the concept is so good.

Plenty of room for everything including bike helmet and wetsuit. Almost too many little compartments for storage of all your little supplies and gizmos. This should actually come with instructions on the intended use of each section, but I guess they just leave it up to you. Not sure how I worked without it.

Want TYR Elite Transition Backpack Discount?

I love the bag. The divides are helpful, there is tons of room, and it being a backpack is wonderful. I took away a star because it can be a pain to get into for one small item or two. It is made to be opened all the way overtime. Truly a transition bag. I also think the straps that adjust the shoulder pads are to thin. They are the weak point.

Tamrac 1717 Superlights Computer Backpack 17 - For 17" laptops (Brown/Tan)

Tamrac 1717 Superlights Computer Backpack 17 - For 17' laptopsWe bought the backpack to house my daughter's brand new Dell Inspiron laptop. She does a lot of graphics and needed a 17 inch laptop. It was impossible to find an off-the-shelf laptop bag for the 17". We looked online and finally found this bag. It is a wonderful bag with places to tuck all of the extra equipment that comes with the laptop. The thing that really sold her visually on this bag was the special place to hold her Skullcandy Headphones. I looked for the padding on the bottom of the bag and the organizational aspects of the bag for wires, usb ports, etc. We are very pleased with the bag. Just wish it came in some fun colors.

I was looking for a backpack that would hold my work laptop so I could carry it on airplanes along with books and other materials. The backpack has worked great. The waterproof computer portion has kept the laptop perfectly dry even in pouring rain. It also has provided protection when I have slipped on ice and fallen on the backpack with the laptop inside. The divided pockets in the main portion helps hold folder and other items. The only negative about the inside is there is no specific pocket for pens, only a couple of large mesh pockets. A small zippered pocket of some kind would have been nice. There are also mesh pockets on the outside of the backpack for water bottles. Overall I have really enjoyed this backpack over the last six months. I use it everyday and it is holding up great.
