This is a great bag, I can easily fit 5 texts books with some notebooks and supplies. I have only been using it for a few weeks,but it seems sturdy, plus it has a hard bottom, so it doesnt sag under the weight of the books. My only problem with that bag is that the color was a little brighter than I was expecting, so if you dont want a flamingo pink bag, maybe choose a different color

I'm a college student with lots of books and notebooks and random other stuff I have to bring. My previous rolling bag I got to save my back literally broke half way through the semester, which was not this bag. There are key differences between them which I was looking for. For one my college is mostly outdoors and when it rains the walk ways flood, it keeps the bag high enough up off the ground that it doesn't get wet, which I'm sure would be a definite plus for those who live in places that actually snow. Next the handle is sturdy with double bar handle I found the single bar handle isn't stable and if you have a lot of books and have to go upstairs is the first thing to break on the bag so another point for the calpack. Now I have to take a lot of stuff with me, this bag is HUGE it has room for everything with some to spare. The side pocket is the perfect size for a graphing calculator and the mesh pocket fits a 32 oz water bottle perfectly. But the thing that makes this bag totally worth it...the tag that comes on it is a 3 year warranty if it breaks. Oh yes I am down with that, this bag should by design last for the remainder of my college years and if it doesn't do what it should they'll replace it. The only thing about this bag that is a con which isn't really a con. The picture above doesn't do the color justice. The bag is really not pale pink it is more of a dark hot pink. Which I absolutely love the color if it's pale or dark so it's not a con for me. But someone else might be a little miffed.

I purchased this for my son and was very disappointed. The bag appeared to be of good quality and had several compartments. However, after two weeks of use the cross bar under the bag broke on both sides. It tilts forward and it can't be used anymore. I had better success with bags I purchased for alot less money. This is not worth the money and I don't recommend this product. I ended up buying him another bag for school.

It's a good case. Has somewhat a slim profile. I ordered from TigerDirect and I received a 16" version. I'm guessing that's the only one out now. I would have liked a 15.6" version but there's not too many of them out right now it seems. The case does have magnets on the sides to keep the top flap pinned to the case. Though I verified with Targus that they've done testing and it will not harm the laptop's components. Overall I think it's an attractive case, though I wish it would have come in a smaller version.

EDIT: I've tried it, and it does fit the laptop quite nicely, because of the inner cushion piece.

This is not a bad product, especially for the price. I picked mine up for about $25 delivered, so no real complaints. Well, maybe one or two. I think I would have prefered a zipper style closure for the main compartment, over the flap style this one has. It can be a bit cumbersome having to pull the flap off and over just to get to the laptop. Secondly, this one lacks a top handle, which means that you have to sling this baby over your shoulder anywhere you take it. Sometimes that can be annoying. But like I said, for what I paid, I'm pretty satisfied. Perfectly fits my Gateway NV53 15.6" widescreen laptop.

eBags eTech 2.0 Macroloader Laptop Backpack

I was looking for a roomy backpack for travel. After extensive shopping, I settled on a different backpack.

Upon arrival, I found that that backpack just didn't have the room I expected. Therefore, I moved on to this

eBags backpack. I am delighted with it. Lots of room to stuff a light jacket AND my ample purse, along with

my ipad, water, etc. Thus getting around the number of bags being carried on to the plane. This bag appears

to be very well made. I usually don't write reviews until I have used the product extensively. I feel certain

that this pack IS what I need. LOTS OF ROOM!!! And it is a pretty color. ;)

I am a big fan of the eBags brand and own several items already including a Downloader laptop knapsack from 2005. That bag is still going strong but unfortunately I now need a bigger bag to accommodate my many larger and heavier school books. The Macroloader is a wonderful bag and will not disappoint.

The e-reader pocket is a great feature. It lies in the main compartment adjacent to the anterior wall of the laptop compartment so it's protected on that side. The main compartment is huge and can accommodate all of the books I need for class and then some. The front storage area is chock full of pockets both with and without light padding. The padded ones are great for your smartphone, voice recorder, camera or MP3 player. There are mesh pockets which are great because you can see exactly what's in there a good place for headphones, USB cables and small miscellaneous wires. The side pockets are a bigger than my Downloader knapsack. The mesh side pocket is great for a water bottle and since it's now bigger the water bottle seems fit much better. The other side pocket has a leash for your keys so you always know where they are in addition to loops for pens, pencils and lip balm. Last but not least, there is a front zip pocket for things you need to get to immediately.

A few changes I would like to suggest to the ebags design team is to include a 3-sided foam insert inside the laptop compartment. It would be a big help for folks like me who do not have a large laptop. I only have an 11.6" computer and it shifts around so much in the laptop compartment. In order to solve the problem, I insert the computer horizontally so it fits snugly without too much movement. I took the foam insert from my old Downloader and place it on top of the laptop. There is still plenty of space on top of that where I put my power adapter brick and emergency umbrella. For all of you out there with larger laptops, this bag will be perfect.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Sac

I love Eagle Creek gear; I have about a dozen pack-it accessories & luggage and also give these as gifts. While they're pricey, they're worth every penny to keep you organised and keep packing to a minimum. I bought this one as a toiletry bag since it's relatively form-free (no pockets), inexpensive (compared to their other toiletry gear) and leak-proof. Most of Eagle Creek gear is washable (gentle setting, drip dry) and have lasted me for years (my oldest piece is 15 years old)!

I have several of these in both the medium and large size. Here is why I like this item:

1. This is lightweight, easy to open and close, durable, and water resistant. Something wet or damp won't leak through the sides.

2. I use a large size in one of my clothing drawers to keep organized all my different running headgear.

3. I use a large size in one of my closets and also for travel purposes to keep my computer and electronic gear--USB cables, chargers, extension cords, power strips, etc.

4. I use a small size in my gym bag to keep my gel, electrolyte tablets, headset for my phone, etc.

5. I also use a small size for travel to keep tolietries like toothbrush, shaver, etc.

Bottom line: This item is a great way to keep things organized whether at home or on the go.

Shop for price. When I bought these recently they were available directly from Amazon for seven dollars and fifty cents each for either the medium or large size, and there was no shipping charge for Prime members. This was much less than the cost at my local EMS.

I purchased the small pack it sac to add to my collection of Eagle Creek travel gear items. As advertised, this sac is great for a variety of uses. I use mine as a bag to keep all of my electronic chargers and cables in. The first time I used it in my carry on bag, but it must of looked suspicious with all the wires because the TSA did a hand check of my bag. On the way home I packed it in my checked bag and had no problems, not that having extra screening is a problem it's just takes a little extra time. Overall, the sac works great for what I need and I would purchase more if I needed a bag or case this size. I would recommend this sac to anyone looking for a good place to keep the mess of charging cables.

I mainly bought this to store my toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and invisalign case. Since I need to brush and floss after every meal, I needed something small enough to fit nicely into my purse, but also fit those items into it. This fir the bill. The toothbrush fits perfectly into it and it is not bulky that it takes up half of my purse. This would also be great for a quick getaway somewhere and you need to put some toiletries into your bag. It does look like it is a mesh bag, but it actually has a plastic behind the mesh which was perfect for what I needed it for. Overall, a good product with a great price!

This is a great travel convenience item. I pack this in my purse, backpack, or carry-on, depending on what kind of traveling I am doing. I compared several black totes before buying the Tumi Voyageur Quintessential tote in black to use as an every day purse and occasional weekender. After a few weeks of everyday use and after stuffing it for a weekend trip, I am very satisfied with how sturdy and roomy it is. For those of you who are post-college age who want a quality tote/purse, skip the Longchamps tote fad and invest the extra money into this Tumi. It is bigger than the Longchamps medium tote, has a better quality nylon material, has more organization like cell phone sleeves, has internal and external pockets (handy for a water bottle), and is sophisticated with black patton detailing and a mirror tag. It comes with a 5-year warranty, so I have the piece of mind that if it doesn't wear well or a strap breaks, I can get a replacement. The straps are thin and flat, which I prefer instead of rolled ones. I had also compared it to a Baggallini black tote/purse, and while that purse has a lot of organizational pockets, it is heavier when empty and not nearly as roomy or sophisticated. I was looking for a purse made of durable and lightweight nylon material, and this Tumi is it. Treat yourself!

I'm now on my second Tumi Luggage Voyaguer Tote. Three years ago I searched all over Manhattan for the perfect bag and finally found it on a business trip to Philadelphia. Light-weight, almost indestructible, goes with everything, goes everywhere. I love it.

It easily holds a laptop. Has a zippered pocket inside for valuables. And dedicated pockets for a smart phone and a pen. Closes with a zipper. In other words, you can put it through airport security without fear of things falling out. Has an outside pocket for a newspaper or umbrella.

My only minor criticism is that I'd like to see them come out with better colors. So far, I'm sticking to black.

Carrot Au-12981 Native American Inspired Canvas Backpack

Although I did check the dimensions before I bought, this backpack is a smaller than I thought it would be. I'm a college student, so it fits a few notebooks/folders and my essentials like wallet and water bottle but it will take some getting used to after previously having a larger backpack. I have a 13" MacBook and it JUST fits... if it hadn't fit I would have returned it.

The style, however, is really cute. The pocket in front is vibrant and colorful, the canvas material has a great texture and color, and the straps are sturdy and stay in place. I ordered the color called "Olive (Tan)" and I would describe it as a cross between brown and green it's a great color.

Overall, like the other review said, this backpack is aesthetically perfect but the size is a bit of a letdown if you have a lot of things to carry. Buy it for the look as opposed to the usage.

Ordered this since it was the only backpack that seemed aesthetically perfect. Received it today and it couldn't even fit my laptop, let alone all of my school supplies. Material and make seems sturdy, but I won't really be able to test that. Sending it back and resuming my search for the perfect backpack.

This bag is massive! Its well built and roomy. But don't expect anything fancy. while the side sling bag and backpack are a cool feature they to are just plain, no pockets inside at all. I'm a big guy (6'5" 265lbs) so the tiny little backpack looks more like a purse when I detached it for a hike.

Best bag ever. I loaded it up with about 80 lbs. of clothing because I am at a remote base it did not fail through all the rigors of going from the states all the way deep into Afghanistan. The detachable bags on each side were helpful when I needed a bag when I stayed overnight.

This is a well designed, rugged product that for me replaces two other bags. I work remotely and commute home on weekends. Everything I need for a week at the job site fits in the bag. SwissGear Travel Gear 1592 Backpack

The SA1592 backpack has been on the market for quite a while, so I'm really surprised that this is the first review. I bought mine at a retail store, where I had an opportunity to directly compare SwissGear backpacks against a number of other brands, like The North Face and Jansport. To me, SwissGear offered the best build quality, along with an attractive style, at a very competitive price.

After deciding to go with SwissGear, my next decision was choosing between the SA1592 and the SwissGear 1900. Both are very well made, and share many common features, and are available in black, and black and red, color schemes. The 1900 has a heavy duty plastic handle on the top, and a separate side accessible compartment dedicated for a laptop. However, to secure the computer, there was only one narrow padded strap with Velcro on both ends. This did not seem to provide adequate security, and the 1900 does not have a waist strap. So after some deliberation, I went with the SA1592, because it seemed to offer a bit more security.

The SA1592 is about 20" high, and 16" wide, and has many of the standard SwissGear features, including bottle holder pockets on each side, large 11" high zippered side pockets with grommet holes, a compartment with organizer pockets, heavily padded an sculptured airflow backing, padded shoulder straps, and a large main compartment with a deep sleeve for a laptop up to 15". The black and red nylon outer material, appears to be pretty durable, but is still very pliable, with a slight sheen. The major zippers are wide, and have large solidly built metal pull handles, with openings that you can insert a small padlock through. If you really had to, a cord could be fed through the grommet holes in the sides of the pack, and used to tie down something, on the top of the pack.

There's a slit on top to feed through your earphone cord, and a couple of dedicated pockets inside, near the top, for your phone, radio, or MP3 player. This larger compartment can accommodate quite a bit, and has a couple of additional zippered compartments inside. The organizer compartment is on the back near the bottom, and has five pen-sized sleeves, other miscellaneous pockets, as well as a detachable key ring. A small detachable holster case, is provided on the shoulder strap.

The strap for the laptop compartment is Velcro, but almost everything else is secured by either zippers, or plastic clips. Things may slide around inside the backpack, but properly zipped up and secured, there is very little chance that anything inside will accidentally fall out, or get lost, except for through the grommet holes.

What's missing? Not too much actually. While the padded handle on top is very serviceable, a hard plastic one like the 1900 model, would have been nice. Plastic bumpers on the bottom of the pack would have provided additional protection, but that would also have made the pack less collapsible.

Empty, the backpack doesn't weigh much, but it is capable of holding a lot of stuff. It is very comfortable to wear, as the shoulder straps provide good support, and distribute the weight nicely. The waist strap is a little narrow, and only extends to fit about a 40" waist, but it does help prevent the pack from sliding off.

I'm very happy with this cool looking, and very functional backpack, which I got on sale for only $40.

I owned a SwissGear for several years, very similar style and looking. After years of carrying TWO 15" laptop and/or multiple camera gears, it has loosened stitches. In searching to find a replacement, Travel Gear 19xx series looks very good.

Just one problem, only the 1592 has a waist strap. I need to have the waist strap, so 1592 is the only choice I have.

I don't need the smartScan feature that actually waist one layer of zipped space. The laptop porch is also side in, unlike the 1592 top in.

Overall, I recommend 1592 over later styles 19xx.

Once again I am very pleased with my purchase from Amazon. The Fireman Sam Backpack as made my grandson very happy, and he will have many days, weeks, months, and years to enjoy it .

A school folder wont actually fit inside this. If your child only needs to bring a snack and maybe something else small to school with them it would be fine, but its really too small for any real school use.

Construction is average. Since my son couldnt use it for school he uses it to play sometimes and its showing signs of wear and tear pretty readily.

The best use for this would be for play and maybe pre-school where your child is only bringing snack and tissues to school or something.

As a professor, I bought this bag to carry around my laptop, textbook, papers, and various other essentials. It is a very sturdy and professional-looking bag. I love it!

I believe this is a newer version of the Clyde Bag, I have the one with orange color inside, got it from a thrift shop years ago.

I am a bike commuter, have always been wanting to buy a "real bike bag". like Seagull, Chrome, and Timbuk2. Aside from saving money, this Clyde bag's shape is so alike with the other bike bag, similar size (other's medium), adjustable strap (though on the different side than bike bags). What different from other bike bags that I like the most, is that there are many compartments, big and small, enough to neatly carry my 15" MBP, loose papers, folders, stationaries, etc.

It also has a handle, makes it easy to carry by hand. Bike bags don't have handle at all, perhaps for practical reason, as the handle gets on my way when I tighten the strap for biking. The material, though not recycled truck material, is very durable. It looks elegant and fancy! Zippers are strong. I lost the Nexus clips (that closes the cover) several times, this is the problem with this older Clyde, there's nothing to hold the clip until I use an office paper clip to seal the open straps. And my Clyde is not totally water resistant, small rain is fine, but things does get wet when it's pouring.

Since I have already get used to the compartments feature, to calm my desire to buy a Chrome, I bought a Timbuk2 Deluxe Strap Pad, and made myself a cross-chest stabilizer. Now it's closer to a bike bag.

Case Logic 17" Laptop and Projector Roller

My projector would not fit!!!

From the Case Logic Site "holds portable projectors up to 11.5 x 10 x 4.5 inches".

My projector is a bit under 4.5 inches high and it was impossible to zip the case.

Fits everything, but more importantly fits a 17" laptop with no problem. Also allows me to carry a second laptop and my iPad. Or enough clothing for a night or two.

Had a damaged zipper when I received the case. I contacted Amazon, They told me to contact the manufacturer. I was very surprised when they contacted the manufacturer for me. I received all the instructions and forms, took some pictures, emailed them in with my form, and within week I had a replacement case.

This speaks highly of Amazon and Case Logic.

I searched everywhere looking for something that I can pack my 17" laptop and cords in and still have a little room for a few small toys for my toddler to take with me on my flight. I was excited to see the fedex truck pull up and give me my package. As soon as I opened it, I realized that this is NOT what I was expecting. I even watched the video again just too see if maybe I was mistaking. But sadly, no. The video is misleading. You do not have the removable case and there is hardly any room for the extras. I can guarantee that after you get your laptop, cords, and what little bit you can fit in, the weight of this thing will be too much of a hassle to deal with for a simple carry on. There is not a whole lot of padding. So don't waste your money. This is going to be returned asap.

I bought this case for my new business. I will be traveling around to different locations using this case a mobile office. I wanted something to be able to put my larger laptop, files , projector when needed, and my mobile HP printer. You would need the smallest projector in the world(maybe the one you hook onto an iphone) to fit in this bag. You need something less than 3.5 inches in height. I have my laptop and files in bag and barely have room for my mobile printer. The pull handle is basically in the projector compartment with thin fabric cover over the handle taking up a lot of space where your projector should go. Once everything is loaded, it really stretches our the zippers. I am afraid that after a few months the zippers will fail.

I would also not look at this bag for a overnight trip. There is just not enough room unless you are only packing small grooming bag and some flip flops, but they would only fit if you were not taking a projector or printer. There is just not enough room for everything I need in mobile office.

I wish I had purchased on Amazon....... but I did not..... when will I learn.

This was the cutest backpack for our little 4 year old ring bearer. He loved the limo! The book activities were mostly too old for him, but he liked it anyway. Only thing that could make it better would be a "practice pillow" with little rings on it. It was nice quality and also impressed his parents.
