I just received this product, as I needed a new backpack / "man purse" ("murse"). It is very stylish, comfortable to wear...and seems sturdy. I think my only minor complaints: 1) it really lacks smaller pockets. There is one hidden inside the large / main compartment, which is handy...but the front smaller compartment is the single holder of the cell phone, pens, hand sanitizer, etc...and it seems to affect the second minor complaint, which is 2) the magnetic "button" enclosure. I may have to stop at the hardware store and get a few magnets for the piece of mind of a stronger hold. However, with all that said, I think this will be my bag of choice for work & school for the next year plus. I am very happy with it so far.

I love old feeling of the bag. It looks exactly as the pic. Though I am a girl, the size is ok and it looks durable! I love the design and the inside part also looks good.

I just ordered it and I look forward to using it. I work in a plant and I needed a better bag to carry my crap to my office. Its a long walk to get their. Maybe this is not as padded as expected but this is the most practical backpack i have.

Very important!!: The only laptop you will be able to carry is a macbook air 11 or 13, any other, i wont recommend. If that is your case, this is your backpack.

The zipper is a little weird but its perfect to have access to pens, or cables you can put in the special pockets inside.

The look is so elegant, so it must be treated with care. Nothing to throw on the floor as any other padded backpacks.

This is a backpack for the elegant gadget maniac to be around in the city.

This backpack is very handy for what I needed. I carry my MacBook in the laptop slot. Wallet and checkbook, pens, etc. fit nicely into the pockets in the front zipper portion. I am using small zippered pockets that I purchased separately to keep things organized in the large part of the backpack. I tried using one of the side pockets to hold my cell phone, but it slides out. Since things slide out of those pockets, I haven't been able to use them. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the product.

I am a HUGE Pacsafe fan, and own several of their products. I purchased this specifically to have a convenient way to carry around my new macbook pro.

First, let me say, that although it appears black in the photo it is most definitely not black. More like a medium charcoal gray. Not a bad thing, but you should know this up front.

This pack has well-padded shoulder straps, making it comfortable even when loaded with a lot of weight. There are two compartments, each with separate zipper closures a large main compartment, and a front smaller one. the large main compartment has a built-in padded sleeve to hold your laptop, as well as a few pockets, one which is great for placing your credit cards, as it has RFID-blocking technology to prevent those credit card info stealing people! Very handy when traveling!

The front pocket has several additional pockets inside, and is great for easy access to items like passport, electronics or reading material.

I really like the anti-theft features, and use them regularly, which for me, makes this the perfect "around town" bag, whether I am traveling abroad, or just doing errands close to home. I especially appreciate the additional security feature of the shoulder strap that detaches for wrapping around a table leg at a restaurant, then reattaches, allowing you to focus on your meal instead of worrying if someone is going to steal your pack.

Side pockets are handy for your water bottle and umbrella.

As an example of what it can hold, I normally carry this as a quick overnight bag, and can easily fit my laptop, assorted electronics, a change of clothes, an iPad and a light jacket inside of it.

I travel a lot in China where one of the main problems is pickpockets--or rather, bag slashers, to be more accurate. I purchased the backpack, waist pack, and messenger bag and have been so happy with all of them. Besides providing excellent security with the slash-proof design, they are lightweight and attractive. I took this backpack with me on my 17 day trip to Europe. The size is small but it hold a lot inside. There is not a lot of padding on the straps so if I had a couple of items in my bag my shoulders would start to hurt. The safety hooks on the side could be better when I was in Germany someone unhooked my bag and got it unzipped. The bag overall is good the material is strong and it hold a lot of weight for the size of the bag.I use this bag every day and I put it through some wear and tear and it held up great. I would recommend this bag for everyone traveling to another country or just a bag to have if you feel as if you need just a little bit more security about your belongings when traveling.

It happened just like they say in travel books and on the State Department website: four pasty tweens pushed on behind us during rush hour on the Metro, asking distracting questions like "is this the train for the airport?", and we could feel them pawing our purses. We still slapped their hands away and started yelling "no" very loudly, but my Pacsafe Slingsafe was on lockdown so I knew they werent getting anything. This pack is very secure and comfortable, very spacious and somewhat water resistant. The green color is pleasing, and I plan to buy a second bag in a different color for more options.

This is your pretty average backapack. I bought it for school, and when it arrived I realized it was much smaller than I anticipated (which is really my fault for not checking the dimensions). If you need a backpack that is functional and will carry a decent amount of books, I reccommend this product. However, if you are trying to carry around a library for school, which is what I'm having to do, I would look for something a bit bigger.

I bought this exact bag in the beginning of my 9th grade year in 1999. No joke, this bag lasted me 11 years and if it wasn't stolen out of my car, probably another 11. It made it through high school, college and everything else I needed it for. I wasn't upset my iPod was stolen, or the $80 cash, I was mad that my bookbag was! Well, let me start off by saing I am a mom of 3 school aged boys and one busy toddler. I purchased 11 Jansport backpacks and that was by no mistake.

My oldest son could use a mediocore book bag and make it last for a few years. My middle son, forget about it, he can go through 3 backpacks in one year. HUH, $20 here, $25 there, $20 again. One year, It looked as if my son had dragged his bookbag across the ground with his brothers skating on it, Or, lets say it looked as if it was tied under the bus with a watermelon in it and guess what it burned through the bag. YOu get the picture. This went on for 2 years. I wanted to make sure his next year wouldn't be the same. SO.... I thought, you want quality, and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. HMMMM! $40 that's not bad, but will this bag last?

It's 2 months before the end of the school year, and I must say this backpack will last not just next year but for another 3 years to come. It looks brand new. I am so Proud of him, also myself for getting on the ball fast. The color of his is Hamster Brown, the material worried me because it doesn't seem like the same durable material like the older Jansport, Yet, it seems sturdy, able to take some damage and come out the winner. The straps are a little stiff at first but are quickly broken in, the back support is great and the simplicity of one front pocket and one big pocket makes it easy to locate items in your backpack. Being waterproof or atleast it seems to be, in the light rain, my kids books don't get wet. I couldn't ask for more in a bag.

My older son who isn't hard on bags is still taking care of his backpack and it looks marvelous. I'd say his could last another 5-6 years. The Color of his is Thai Pepper.

My little Man who is just a bud, also is great on bags, his backpack is looking marvelous as well at only 2 months left. Not a scratch or missing thread. His bag is Blue and Black and will last I am sure.

Being a Frugal MOM of four, I wanted a QUALITY bag that I was sure would last for more than one year. I remembered the quality bag I purchased for myself in HighSchool and Jansport was it's name. A couple of things to be aware of when purchasing this backpack: it is smaller. The straps are also slightly more narrow and shorter than a typical "adult" sized backpack. Its really difficult to tell from some of the photos. Its slightly smaller than the LL Bean Original Book Pack ( @ 1404 cu in for the LL Bean) and the straps are smaller.

Ive uploaded two photos, one comparing the webbed straps on the Jansport (black) and the LL Bean Deluxe Bookpack (print) so you can see the size difference.

This pack is the perfect size for me. It'll carry all of my essentials, a pair of sunglasses, a pair of reading glasses (which I have to carry these days) and two cell phones. It'll also carry my flip camera and a few misc extras. I didnt want the next larger pack because I knew that one would be too big to carry around day to day for things like shopping and going to the grocery store.

I'm an average sized adult woman (about 5'8") but I don't think this pack would work for someone much taller than I am. I adjust the straps all the way out and it hangs a little lower than my middle back. It would be shorter on someone much taller. The padding is also closer to the top of my shoulder than under my arm, which I like actually.

They should say its for kids and too small for you average middle school, highschool, etc. payloads. Perfect for grade school, unfortunately i bought it fo a highschool student. It is too small for anything but the lower grades carrying a couple of books. but the quality is clearly Jansport, "awesome". Too bad, i own it and cannot use it.

This was purchased to hold medical supplies for a youth baseball team. There is plenty of room for a large first aid kit, several boxes of ace bandages and a couple of dozen ice packs. The one con, if it matters to you, is that the small side pocket is about 6"x8", big enough for a wallet and keys but not much else. Wash carefully, gentle cycle, no bleach, etc. I recommend this item.

Just came back from traveling for a week and a half and let me tell you, having a this as a carry-on was the best decision I made. It's pretty large, around 45 linear inches but I was able to fit a lot of clothes and a suit. I got the khaki and it's pretty much the same as you see it on screen. The only negative was the small pocket in the front, pretty pointless.

This bag is massive! Its well built and roomy. But don't expect anything fancy. while the side sling bag and backpack are a cool feature they to are just plain, no pockets inside at all. I'm a big guy (6'5" 265lbs) so the tiny little backpack looks more like a purse when I detached it for a hike.

I bought this bag for my 3rd deployment because I am frustrated with the poor-quality duffle bags the military issues to service members.

Best bag ever. I loaded it up with about 80 lbs. of clothing because I am at a remote base it did not fail through all the rigors of going from the states all the way deep into Afghanistan. The detachable bags on each side were helpful when I needed a bag when I stayed overnight.

This is a well designed, rugged product that for me replaces two other bags. I work remotely and commute home on weekends. Everything I need for a week at the job site fits in the bag. The cover I received was all black, there was no silver lining around zippers, and the symbol was in white not red. Either way it was a great looking product. However, the case is not something I would call form fitting. I realize that neoprene stretches but this is like picking a cat up from the back of the neck. It's not awful and it always goes back to its original shape. Just, I would of preferred a case that was a good fit. There is a lip, on the zipper end, that can cup over the laptop to protect it from the zippers. That portion is a great feature. However, the zipper used for the pocket has me concerned that it might cause a dent. It's a bulky zipper like the other two, I wish they would of used more low profile zippers. Though, since it is not form fitting, the zipper will slide onto the side of the laptop, as long as it is on one end or the other. Either way this was not an expensive case, so I can't be too critical. For what it's worth, it's nice, and it will keep scratches away from your laptop. But if you use your laptop everywhere, I would look into to getting a more rugged case. A case that can really take shock, form fitting, and doesn't have zippers that can cause dents.

JanSport Right Pack Monochrome

I've been holding out on buying a backpack because I wanted to make sure that I found the right one. I had been looking for a solid colored, good quality, spacious backpack with compartments for better organization, and I finally found it. I bought the New Storm Grey color and it is a bit lighter than what the picture shows, almost silvery looking, but still a nice color. It is spacious on the inside and has a compartment for laptops, which is a plus. Another plus is that it has a leather/suede bottom, which I like because then I don't have to worry so much about the material getting dirty when I set it down.

It was also delivered within a week, which was great, and I was so happy to see how good it looked. The only thing that I wish is that it was a little smaller because I have a small frame, but eh, I'll get used to it.

When I initially purchased this bag, I did it because of the color and the quality. I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and I don't have a problem with the quality at all. The only thing that bothers me is that the color was not as dark as it seemed in the photo. I expected a darker shade of purple but it's kinda light. Besides that, it's a good bag.

Belvah Large Quilted Damask Print Backpack - Choice of Colors

Both straps broke within one week! We only had two books and a notebook inside of it at the time. Very poor quality.

I bought this bag for my 6 year-old daughter (along with the blue and brown paisley version for myself, which I still use and have been using as my purse for the past 3-4 months) to use for school. I knew that her needs were very limited (first grade--no heavy loads), so I wasn't concerned about its durability. She used it the first week of school, and then the zipper broke. Voila--bag is finished (I'm not a zipper-fixin' kinda mama, although I wish I could be). So, although I have another virtually identical bag that I've had no issues with, I do have to say that our experience of this particular bag was less than stellar.

I bought a small and large version of this backpack months ago and can say they are very sturdy and it is easy to clean the fabric if something gets on it. It's a practical backpack with a distinctly feminine flair. People do comment on them often when I am out shopping. Not only that the bag is attractive, but that it must be helpful for me to have two hands free when I'm with my 4 yr old toddler. The only downfall is that the lining fabric on the inside of the bag which is used for the inside zipper pocket is somewhat thin. I am careful not to overstuff the zipper pocket or make it too heavy because I'm concerned the fabric will rip. I carry tissues in the compartment with elastic, a small wallet in the zipper compartment, and a lip gloss and small pill plastic bottle in the other compartment with no elastic. That's it. It's easier for me to carry a smaller pouch inside the Belvah than to stuff these small compartments with weight that would likely tear the fabric over time. Also, of interest is that the interior compartments I discuss here are the same size in the small bp as it is in the larger size. One might think there's a difference in size but strangely, there isn't. Overall a good bag and a good value. Go for it!

The North Face Men's Borealis

I measure construction sites in NYC and having to haul everything is a chore (level's, keys, iPad, field folders, ect). Has a huge amount of space, more than you would think.

Many different hooks and ways to attach items to the outside and a few well placed hidden pockets.

The material is great, takes a beating and cleans easily. The straps are padded and very comfortable.

Update #1: For the first time since I purchased this I brought it out in the rain. While it's not rainproof it does wick off the rain pretty well. Where it fails is the Northface logo stitched on the front. Since its stitched all the way through, it absorbs water and becomes a channel directly into the bag. I think I'm going to ducktape over the inside of the logo. I still give this 5 stars, it never claimed to be waterproof.

Bought this for my daughter for college. It was exactly what I expected it to be. She is geared up and ready to head back to college.

I love this backpack. I love the laptop slot and I love the front pocket where I can put all my stuff in.

North Face backpacks are typically unsurpassed. Unfortunately this backpack should be passed on if you're looking for a day pack or gym bag. The addition of the laptop sleeve with associated padding makes for an awkward feeling and uncomfortable experience when wearing. Access to the main cargo area is limited as well which makes packing this bag frustrating at times.

Kidorable Umbrella

Although the umbrella was very cute, the second time it was opened, the seam ripped. I stitched it up as best I could for my granddaughter rather than return it and pay shipping charges.

My daughter got this set for Easter last year and just adores it, esp. the umbrella which she uses any possible time she can. I wouldn't say it's cheaply made but it's just not as well made as the raincoat. The little "button" on top to finish popped off within a month and can't really be glued back on. It doesn't affect the umbrella's use but it's just one of those annoying things.

My daughter used this umbrella 4 or 5 times before one of the metal struts detached from the umbrella ribs, making it unusable. And these were gentle uses!

I contacted the company, as I'd gotten it directly from Kidorable. They told me they'd be happy to replace it, if I mailed it back to them at my own expense. Cost of shipping tube, plus cost of first-class postage, was over $8, for a $14 umbrella.

My mother bought the boots, raincoat, and umbrella for my daughter when she was 4 and everything has held up quite well. She is 7 now the boots are still in prefect condition as well as the coat. However, the umbrella broke about 2 years after we bought it. It wasn't due to the quality at all one of her friends stepped on it and snapped it. My daughter used this set for the first 2 years every chance she got even when it was barely raining and all of it held up very well! We bought the coat and boots a bit big and they really lasted it wasn't until last year she has grown out of all of it. THE ENTIRE SET IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!! I needed a high visibility, well made, low cost back pack for my daily commute to and from work. during the winter months I may get caught in the dark on the rides so a reflective hi-vis bag was needed (along with lights on the bike of course). For the money, this is the bag to get. The reflective taping and straps are durable and the bag is high quality with enough pockets for all you stuff, including a laptop. It's not waterproof so a cover may be needed and I would suggest a reflective hi-vis cover which can be purchased for about $20 on the internet if you look under commuter equipment.

I bought this pack to increase my visibility when biking at night. It does a great job. The zippers don't feel as solid as I'd like, but they've held up during a few months of daily use. I wish the bag featured a sternum strap would help it to stay on my shoulders better and increase comfort but it is usable even without.

This backpack is very reflective (especially on the front with the straps). I use it to commute in the darkness to work. The backpack has plenty of pockets. It has 2 main pockets, one large pocket, one medium pocket on the bottom and a tiny pocket for a wallet or something near the top.

It's size could be a little larger in my opinion as it is smaller than both of my other two backpacks, and packing stuff can be a squeeze at times. The quality seems adequate, not great, but It has lasted for 3 months now with no issue and daily use.

I bought it for it's visibility qualities and it seems to hold up on that end of the bargain. For the price you really can't beat it.

UnbeatableSale Inc got this product to me much sooner than it was anticipated. I use it biking and walking because dusk surprises me at times. Although I live in the city, Henrico/Richmond, VA uses street lights sparingly and sidewalks are inconsistent, so light clothing and reflection accessories are very helpful from a drivers vantage point.

I give 5 stars all around because this product is beautiful! Never thought I would describe a backpack as "beautiful"... but it is! The pink is sharp. And the sequin stars and bow are kind of puffy to the touch. They appear to be very well sewn on. Even with rough handling, I bet the sequins will hold up well. The stitches and seams are tight, the zipper runs smoothly and the straps are padded. The backpack is a licensed product of Hello Kitty, which means it would be of great quality. The size is perfect for elementary school students, or big kids who don't haul 500 pound books around in their packs. (It's not really deep, like one of those super dee duper huge backpacks from Columbia or LL Bean.) But it is large, fits full-sized folders and notebooks with room to spare. I am sure you could carry 3 good sized texts in this. I'm merely guessing because my daughter is only in kindergarten:)

This bag is used (not too gently) by my kindergarten-age daughter. It's holding up very well, holds all of her school stuff and a lunch box, and she loves it.

MARVEL SPIDERMAN TODDLER BACKPACK - CITY PATROL

Great backback. Our son loves Spiderman and this was a hit. We got this bag for him since is starting day care and they suggested to bring his things in a backpack. He is 2 years old and I was afraid it might be to big, but it's just right. I can't think of what to put in the side pockets that would actually be useful, but I'm sure we'll come up with something.

Got this backpack for my 3yo who loves spiderman. We originally got it for a long trip so he could bring his toys, books and snacks on the plane but he now wants to take it everywhere we go. He packs it with books, his spiderman action figures and a change of clothes so he is always ready to go. It has a small pocket on the front and 2 smaller pockets on the side (one on each side) where we put a small hand sanitizer and sunscreen bar. He has a small spiderman water bottle that can also fit on the side pocket so it is very good for keeping everything he needs. The size is perfect for him and after a few months of heavy use it is still like new. Excellent bag for spiderman lovers!
