This is so overpriced. It's made of plastic and feels real cheap like made in China cheap. I guess that's because it is! The strap system to lift your bag is one of the worst. It's not adjustable and I don't feel confident weighing luggage with it. It's a small double hook which you latch on to the handle. The metal hooks are more curved then an angle and it doesn't really hook on secure and can easily slip off. This is by far one of most expensive pieces of junk that TUMI has ever produced.

I read other reviews and decided to see for myself. This in fact is a really nice accessory for Tumi Luggage. It is compact, the screen is well lit, the scale is very compact and can travel easily. The connection to the luggage is the "t-clip" associated with Tumi Luggage and like Tumi Luggage is very well made. This is not a cheaply made product as I have read in a review, in fact it is quite well made and fairly accurate. I recommend this scale for Tumi Luggage.

My daughter wanted a sling backpack for this next school year. We agreed on this one b/c of the size. We picked the purple one, it is really pretty. The pic doesn't do it justice. It fits her really well, she is 9yrs old and really tall. The straps are padded and go comfortably around her (even me). There is an additional handle on the side that you can tug it around with if need be. It expands nicely. Her folders and binder fit perfectly. The only drawback is we'll have to downgrade to a smaller lunch bag. She had a big puffy one that doesn't fit in as good. The smaller chamber in front is nice and roomy for misc stuff. I do miss all the little hidden pockets for this/that like a traditional backpack but for the money, this is a nice one. Another feature she likes is that when she's wearing it, she can unclip. There's a release clip in the middle of the handle that goes around her. Suppose that will come in handy to take off easier when it's heavy vs flinging it over your head to take off. Also the side pockets do a nice job of holding a traditional sized bottle of water.

Wish it came in darker colors. Daughter is in 3rd grade and loves it. A few of her notebooks and library books have proven to be a little big when trying to zip it closed but with patience and proper arrangement, the zipper can be closed even when full.

This is a very cheaply made laptop bag. It smells strongly of petroleum type chemicals. My laptop fits into the main compartment, but it's a very tight squeeze. Padding is very minimal. The cords bulge out of the extra pocket. No place to safely store the wireless mouse. It's uncomfortable to carry with the shoulder strap. I think the price is too high for this very minimally adequate bag.

This bag is very handy. We just love it. It has enough space for all the cables, mouse, memory stick etc. Get a lot of comments about the awesome colors from other people.

Wenger Mega 17" Compu-backpack -Black

I have one of these bags, my wife has another. We love them and swear by them. I've also given more than 20 of these bags away as promotional items for my company. Everyone who gets one raves about them.

The only con I can think of is that, while it's supposedly holds a 17" laptop, that's just barely true. My wife has a 17" macbook pro and you have to really work the zipper around the corners of the laptop if you use the laptop sleeve in the main compartment. However, you can still put a 17" laptop in the same compartment, just not in the sleeve and the bag closes just fine and the laptop is still held safely and securely.

As for pros, these things are incredibly durable. I've never seen a backpack of any type hold up as well as these have. I take mine almost everywhere with me and it's filled with my laptop, tablets, phones, cables, paper, books, pens, pencils, hi-lighters, business cards, thumb drives, and sometimes some tools and clothes. Not to mention the water bottle holders that I use frequently. And, even with all this crap in it, it has enough pockets and compartments to keep it all nicely organized with room to spare.

Oh, and it's nicely padded everywhere, which makes it a dream to cary around, even when it's heavily weighed down.

I've been using my bag religiously for many years now and the only two problems I have are:

The backpack straps have a mostly-decorative plastic loop at the end you can pull to adjust the length of straps. I closed mine in a card door and it broke in half. It's still 100% functional, but apparently shows that it's not 100% invincible.

Lastly, there is a section of the zipper approximately 1" long where a thread broke and the zipper has come loose in that area and the zipper pull can get snagged there. I need to go get some thread and a needle to fix this, but I've been too lazy. It's been like this for more than a year and hasn't gotten any worse.

So in the end, you need not go any further than this bag. This is the bag you're looking for. Buy it. Now.

The marketing for this bag is a lie. This bag is NOT a 17 inch. Not even close. At the most 15. My 14 inch dell latitude fits perfect, but my dell precision 17 is not even close to fitting. Ogio has one that is tight. Was hoping to find a better quality and bigger, but this is not it. Don't bother if you have a larger laptop than a 15.

Military Inspired Stylish Backpack Canvas Day Pack Black

I like this bag, it's as described, with all canvas and brass-looking buckles for closure, and the top has a draw string to close it up snug. The inside is lined with water-resistent material, and has a zipper pouch that has quite a bit of room. I was hoping it would fit my 16" laptop, but it's rather snug when I have the sleeve on it. I don't think I would use it for my laptop. The straps are kind of short, and are "buckled" to how short or long you want them, but they are kind of short. I think I may end up tying them together to use as one strap. Don't think I would recommend this for a college student, if you have to carry around a laptop, but for high school it would work out. I may end up just carting my laptop around in its sleeve.

I've had trouble with the straps. I ended up sewing them together, and I'm hoping that will solve the problem, as the "buckles" they were adjusted with kept losing the strap and it would drop off my shoulder with my laptop inside!!

I am going to end up carrying my laptop in its sleeve, but the backpack itself is pretty nice. It does fit my 16" laptop, but I'm worried about the straps slipping again. I can fit all of my school stuff binders, spiral notebooks, and extendable folder. I'm probably not going to put my books in it again, with the straps. I suppose I could tie them in knots.

The backpack is cute, which is why I got it in the first place. That's the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. But other than that, it has been the worst quality backpack I've ever had. I wasn't expecting that due to the fact that it's canvas, and that is a very durable fabric

The straps started to fall apart only a week into owning it. The inside lining is falling apart. I literally sat down and re-sewed in every single seam in this backpack because the string is soooo weak. It's fallen apart on me randomly MULTIPLE times.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this backpack. And it was really sad, because I held off on buying a backpack else where because I found this one at a reasonable price and thought it would "last longer". I guess I know now not to buy anything that says "stylish" in the description title. *sigh* ): ):

Tumi Luggage Vapor Continental Carry-On

I got this bag as a gift for my parents, as it is about 15% larger than the Tumi Vapor International carry-on (TU28020) that I use. Still, at 22"x15.75"x9", it is small and maneuverable. I believe that this bag will make it onto most flights (excepting regional jets/turbo-props), though technically it's a little too wide in accordance with some published airline specifications (14" vs. the bag's 15.75"). If you never want to have to be told it's too big, go for the International (as I did for myself). If you need a little more space and don't mind having the ability to carry on be a little hit or miss, give this one a try. I may be wrong on this, but I don't think they make you pay the checked bag fee if they take the bag from you at the gate.

This was purchased to hold medical supplies for a youth baseball team. There is plenty of room for a large first aid kit, several boxes of ace bandages and a couple of dozen ice packs. The one con, if it matters to you, is that the small side pocket is about 6"x8", big enough for a wallet and keys but not much else. Wash carefully, gentle cycle, no bleach, etc. I recommend this item.

Just came back from traveling for a week and a half and let me tell you, having a this as a carry-on was the best decision I made. It's pretty large, around 45 linear inches but I was able to fit a lot of clothes and a suit. I got the khaki and it's pretty much the same as you see it on screen. The only negative was the small pocket in the front, pretty pointless.

I am concerned about the overall quality of the construction and how the bag will hold up. I purchased this duffle bag for its size and price, we made one trip last week. Nothing but clothes in this bag, so it weighed about 40 lbs fully loaded. When we got off the airplane and went to claim out bag, we found both handles had ripped off and the side seams had split from being picked up. I thought it was the airline just handling it roughly, nope. As we picked up the bag off the claim return the other side ripped and the zipper failed as well. Horribly made and poor craftsmanship too. Size is great! But since we can't do anything with the bag after one trip, it was a bad choice in purchasing.

Had my eye on this for months. I have all Cobra equipment. Bag, woods, irons, caps, etc. Then, I saw the duffel and rolling duffel. A great match for golf trips. I researched camera bags that are also "backpacks" or day-trip bags for a long time before purchasing; I never saw a review for this particular bag anywhere online, so I felt I needed to leave a review for anyone else considering it. What I needed was a bag that would securely hold my camera (Canon Rebel T2i) but that didn't look like a "camera bag" (for safety reasons), that has space for personal items (water bottle, snack, guidebook, wallet, etc.), that was comfortable to wear for hours at a time, and that fit me and felt secure (so it wouldn't be stolen off of me). Overall, I am very happy with this bag. My camera does not move or shift in the padded space. The bag does not look like a traditional "camera bag"; the attractive rust-orange color helps with that, as does the slimmer size. There is a side mesh pocket for a water bottle, though my taller bottle fell out a couple times while taking the bag on and off; I was able to fit a small guidebook, map, snack, passport, and tissue pack in the personal space area at top with no trouble (and still had room in the dedicated camera-area, as I did not travel with extra camera accessories). The strap is nicely padded and comfortable. The length and width of this bag was perfect for me to wear (I'm 5'3"; similar bags by Vanguard and other makers seemed too long when I measured them for me). This bag has an additional narrow strap that can be buckled into the one padded strap for extra security; I used this strap often while traveling through crowded Barcelona and on the metro. Additionally, I really like how this bag swings around so I can access the camera; this is easy enough to do (I'm right-handed) and I primarily use this side zipper to get at the camera, as opposed to the front pocket (which is very securely closed and buckled). I don't think the bag is completely water-proof; after being in the rain for about an hour or so there was some minor wetness to the guidebook in the top personal space area, though not in the dedicated camera space.

I love this pack. I wanted something that I could access without removing, so a backpack was out. The messenger bag gets old carrying after a while. A waist pack is too small and looks silly. So a sling pack was perfect.

I researched a lot and tried a couple on that I could find local before ordering this one. I'm glad I picked this one. Size-wise its in-between the small and medium lowepro slings so its a good compromise if you can't decide between those two.

It holds snug enough on my body that when walking it doesn't bounce around. I love being able to swing it around and pull the camera out quickly, it takes less than 5 seconds if you rush but not much more taking your time. If I have to I can swap lenses without taking it off too, but I prefer to set it down to perform this just in case.

Inside it has more than enough room for my Nikon D5100, attached lens, 2 extra lens, and accessories. The dividers are movable and removable so I can rearrange the compartments if needed.

A big factor as to why I chose this bag over the others was the pack doesn't scream "I have a nice expensive camera inside" to the casual observer. It looks just like a day pack that could hold anything. Also the excess fabric from the straps is contained with velcro and elastic which is nice.

If I could add one thing it would be tripod straps, but I knew it didn't have them when I ordered it, so I'll live. I can add them if I need to.

Overall this is the best accessory for my camera thus far.

Bought this for my first DSLR (Canon Rebel T2i) and very happy with my purchase. The bag is compact (a little smaller than I expected, but I didn't check the exact measurements when I bought it), it's well-designed and puts me at ease carting my camera around. The sling design with easy-access compartments works really well. The main compartment has space for the camera with zoom lens attached (i have a 55-250mm and it could fit something slightly longer) plus a sub-compartment for one standard lens it's a snug fit for my 18-55mm, which means I have to keep the zoom lens either attached to the camera in the main compartment, or in the other top compartment where it wouldn't be as well protected, especially if I want to keep other accessories in there. That's my only issue, but if you're just carrying around 2 lenses it's sufficient. I paid $35 which seems a pretty fair price for the size, I wouldn't have wanted to pay more than that. Overall a good buy.

I bought this because we were going on a trip that would involve small children and lots of walking. My camera bag was an over the sholder type and I needed something less bulky and easier to carry. This really delivered in that department. I would have given it 5 stars, but there were a couple of things (probably minor) I didn't like about it.

Pros:

Great over the shoulder, sling pack.

I loved that I could just twist it from my back around to my front and have easy access to my camera through the side zipper.

It can be adjusted to fit snuggly and even strapped around your waist to be even more secure.

Seemed to be pretty roomy if you only need to carry your basic SLR and one lens in the bottom half of the pack. The top half would probably hold one more if that were the only thing stored in the top.

It does not have the "valuable camera and accessories stored in here" appearance, so I felt more secure with it.

Padded nicely.

Compact and a great price.

Cons:

There is not much divided space in either compartment. I had to rip out the velcro pads from my other camera bag to make this bag fit my needs.

There is no "fuzzy material" that the camera bag pads velcro to on the sides of the bag, only on the back. This made any of the pads I put in flimsy and not as secure as I would like. I plan to remedy that myself by stitching some in.

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, I would buy it again if I had a choice because it really is a nice bag for the price.

Samsonite Tectonic Large Backpack

This is a fabulous backpack which I got, assuming it would fit my 17" Gateway Laptop because of it's dimensions. At first. it was a "no-go" fitting my laptop in it. Then I found if I took off the slightly protruding battery pack, I could barely zipper the computer into it's compartment. After taking it on a trip, it must have stretched the compartment a bit and now the zipper closes without a serous struggle. The zipper is still very tight against the laptop at the top corners and would probably either fail or not protect the laptop well if you whacked something at that relatively unlikely place.

As soon as you get the backpack, there is a tag on it that says it is for laptops up to 16" and that is what I would recommend.

There are so many pockets in this thing that you may find you forgot where you put each gizmo unless you use it a lot. Many of the pockets are zippered. Some of the critical zippers are " self-healing", another good thing. There are nice back comfort pads in the right places.

In short, it is an amazing backpack and for that reason, I will not deduct a star in spite of the Amazon person that did not adequately describe it.

I replaced an old, worn-out, standard Jansport backpack with this one. So this is a huge upgrade for me.

I've only worn the backpack a couple times and I already like it a lot. It's a BEAST. It accommodates my Sony VAIO laptop (16.4") perfectly well, even with the large battery that protrudes from the bottom a couple of inches. PLENTY of padding in the laptop compartment as well as on the outside that rests against your back. The straps are rather large but comfortable. I can barely feel the weight of the bag when I put it on.

There are many pockets and pouches inside and outside of the bag. I can fit a small umbrella perfectly in one of the side pockets. The small pocket in the front (at the bottom) is highly padded... a cell phone would work nicely in there.

My wife and I are in Europe studying abroad for a year. Before we left, we decided to purchase new backpacks. I've always had Samsonite so I purchased the Large Samsonite Tectonic and my wife likes Swiss Gear, so she got their Maxxum one.

We've had them now for about 3 months of light/medium traveling, and I wish I would have gone with the Maxxum. This Samsonite backpack is just not the quality I expected.

The first problem is that the shoulder strap threading has unraveled, thus leaving about a 4-inch hole where you can see the two foam pads in it. After three months of not even continuous use, I was surprised by this rip. The Maxxum's shoulder pads aren't as padded but they are staying together.

The other problem is that the zippers do not stay together well (especially to the main compartment). The teeth are large and I'd guess that about 4 or 5 times now, my main compartment has fallen open while I am walking and some of my stuff spills out. The fix for this is to make sure the zippers are together on one of the sides, where they seem to not want to pull apart. The Maxxum has tighter teeth, and feel more stable.

I give this backpack 3 starts because it is a good fit with my 13-inch laptop and I like the overall padding comfort, pocket layout, and design. Yet, there are just a couple of small annoying things (like having to sew a shoulder pad and zip up on the side) that prevent it from scoring better. The Samsonite website says "This bag can take it. Samsonite tough." and I was hoping for a little more durable backpack.

Make sure you pick the 17" option if your laptop is that size or it won't fit like the others here are saying. I did pick that option and have NEVER been disappointed for one, single, second. The over-sized zippers are tough-as-nails, the material of the pack itself is an impenetrable rugged gortex-like substance that is water-proof (I've had it in the rain with Notebook in it!!), and simply cannot be beat. The many, many pockets are useful for your average student (college or not--in my case grad school). The adjustable straps are well, WELL cushioned beyond any other pack I've ever seen, the back-side cushions are all about a full inch thick of comfortable padding that just cannot tear because they are covered in the same tough pack material the rest of it is in. The handle at the top lets you carry in-hand if you want to give your shoulders a break and that is also made of that tough, gortex-like material and its about 2 inches thick! It has two primary compartments--one for books, etc., and the other for your laptop, and the Laptop area has enough room for my 17" HP monster (17" screen; 1 TB HD). The pockets on either side are large enough for 20 oz sodas (which I take with me to the library), and again, even if they spill or leak, the material does not allow it to seep into the pack, keeping your items and Laptop dry.

This pack is the ultimate for your money. Now be careful, sears sells these for $200 bucks, and that's a rip off. I got mine for about $50 here and have never been happier for having spent it. There is just simply nothing bad to say--its tough, plenty of room, comfortable, affordable, great design, if you carry any laptop around you simply need this pack. Period.

When on vacation in Canada we saw briefcases like this one. At the time we did not make a purchase and regretted it until I found this to give to my husband as a gift. I searched for several weeks until finally making my decision. My husband loves this bag and gets many compliments on how tough it is. He commented the other day after he had yet again received a compliment that this will last a lifetime and keep getting better with age. One feature that is important to my husband is that it is unlined. He is in the construction industry and may have to throw a tool or two in the bag. Lining, over time, will wear out on something that will get very heavy use. Many things are made with a limited life span in order to generate a future purchase, that is not the case with this bag. It is very well constructed.

These really are the coolest bags under the sun! I love having a purse where the sides don't collapse and it is so easy to see inside. A couple of years back I purchased a Lady Bug 100 tote. They were out of the black so I took what they had...a pretty teal, but not what I wanted for work. I gave it to my sister thinking I would order a black one for myself. I then forgot about it for months, and when I went to order one they were no longer available. My sister offered the teal one back to me but I still wanted something in black. I ordered a "Lubber" tote which is similar to the Optari Sol Tote, but the handles are fixed in one position, and you cannot get things in or out easily. You actually need three hands to make it work. I gave it away. The Sol tote has very cleverly designed handles that swivel down out of the way. They are unique, and make all the difference between this tote and other similar ones. This is my favorite tote of all time!!
