I bought this backpack for my granddaughter who is going to preschool this year. Her older sister is going into Kindergarten and I bought a backpack for her and just had to get one for the younger grandchild. She absolutely loves it. Disney is her absolute favorite manufacturer. She loves everything Disney. I love it because it is smaller than her older sibling's which I think is perfect for her size and age. It is big enough to hold everything she will need to take to school and then also big enough to carry all she needs to bring home from school. She doesn't need to carry books yet and this is perfectly fit to her size and ability to carry. It seems like it will hold up well, but will let you know later on if it doesn't since school doesn't start until next week. This is great for a smaller child who will not be carrying a lot of books or homework. Great work Disney, for considering smaller children.

Osprey Meridian 22 Inch/60L Pack

I have had an Osprey Meridian 22" for three years now. I have taken it with me on multiple trips, domestic and international, urban and rural, for up to one week long. I consider it the best pack for light travelers like myself.

PROS:

1. Mobility The wheels and frame allow you to move it without picking it up. The concealed harness and belt are easily taken out when you wish to carry it on your back and free up both hands.

2. Detachable day pack The well-designed day pack is quite spacious and far exceeds my expectation in how much it holds.

3. Size Without the day pack, a fully packed Osprey Meridian 22" is still small enough to fit in the overhead bin of any commercial airliners. This allows one to avoid baggage check-in and all related hassles (fees, loss in flight connection, delay at baggage claim, damage by rough handling, etc.).

4. Durability and lifetime warranty Osprey stands behind their products for good. The only thing I needed replacement so far was a loop string on one of the zippers. I filled and submitted a simple part request form online, and received an email response on the same day. In a few days the replacement part was received in the mail.

CONS:

None (the relatively high price is worth it).

If you are looking for a convenient and versatile luggage that you can carry (literally) around for up to one week, this is it.

I have used the Osprey Meridian 22" for four airline trips around the country, and dragged it around Washington D.C., both above and below ground, and I am so pleased with the pack, I would buy more packs for other family members as the need arises. This is not one of the few rolling carry-ons that will fit into overhead compartments on every commercial aeroplane now. On planes used for short distances with limited overhead compartment rooms, such as Embraer jets and propeller planes, it will have to be valet checked, but, at least on American Airlines and United Airlines, there is no charge. On those planes, I usually keep the day-pack separate from the main pack and carry the day-pack on board with my laptop and Kindle DX there is room for a lot more stuff I then remove what I will be using during the flight, and store the day-pack in the overhead compartment.

It is easy to remove the straps from the main pack and I have done so. I would only use the straps if I was going somewhere well off the beaten track with rocky or muddy paths or numerous steps.

It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design of the pack and input from seasoned travellers has been used. Everything from the way the the zipper pulls have ends that easily interlock, the ease of detaching and reattaching the day-pack, the clips for the straps on the main pack when the day-pack is not attached that keep the straps from flapping around and further strengthens the main compartment and hides the zipper pulls, to the pocket on the rear of the day-pack that can be used for stowing the straps when not being used, and multiple other subtle but useful features are well designed and reveal the quality of the product.

I was hesitant about paying approximately double for this carry-on than other similar size carry-on. Now, I think the price is good value for money, especially when the lifetime warranty is considered.

I took this bag on its first trip to DC for business in February, a month or so after receiving it as a gift. What a well designed, functional piece of travel luggage! I fit four days of clothes, extra shoes, a jacket, book, laptop, cords, camera, etc and was traveling light and fast without the hassle of checked bags. The liquids pocket is great! As are all of the padded carry handles, which are firm and comfortable. The Meridian 22 fit easily into overhead storage and got lots of looks from other leisure and business travelers toting inferior luggage. Highly recommended. While I love the detachable daypack, it should have a zipper at the bottom of the strap sleeve where you could slide it over the roller handles as another carry option. Reattaching it via zipper and straps to the main bag is a bit of a process unless you have space and some time. All in all a phenomenal piece of gear which will make travel much more of a pleasure.

The Osprey Meridian 60L is amazing. I purchased it for a two week trip to Europe. During the trip we stayed in youth hostels, flew in airplanes, drove in rental cars and did lots of walking. My friends chose traditional backpacks. I did not want to carry a backpack everywhere. With its concealable backpack straps, wheels, and detachable daypack the Meridian 60L was the perfect solution.

I chose the 60L Meridian (with its airplane carry on approved size) over the 75L. I did not want to check my bags at the airport and risk losing them. I was a little concerned that the 60L would not be large enough to hold everything I wanted to take. The Meridian exceeded my expectations. The main bag is more like a traditional suitcase with one large compartment. Despite its small size it held an incredible amount of clothing. I packed 5 complete changes of clothing, a hygiene kit, shower shoes, silk bed liner, and a towel. I was able to pack all of it in the main leaving the daypack available for everything else. If I have a regret it is that I didn't go with the Meridian 75L. The 60L met all my needs perfectly, but with no excess capacity at all. I was forced to carry whatever I purchased in the daypack. And (as I was to learn later) I would need to check my bags on the airplanes anyway.

I discovered that in Europe you can only take one carry on bag, not two as in the US. I was forced to check my bag on all 5 flights that we took. So, my choice of the 60L Meridian was not as helpful as I had hoped. However, I am sure that the 60L size will come in handy on future trips. My friends had traditional backpacks and on every flight they had problems checking their bags. They ether had to secure the straps and put their packs into large bags or into special bins. The Meridian with its zip up strap compartment presented no issues at check in.

The large roller wheels navigated the cobblestone streets of Europe with ease. If the wheels had been smaller they would have been a real problem. The adjustable pull handle was comfortable and robust. I was concerned that I would look strange at the hostels with a rolling bag when everyone else had a backpack. I need not have worried. Most of the local Europeans traveling on holiday used rolling bags. Wearing a backpack is almost like wearing a sign saying I am an English speaking foreigner.

The backpack feature of the Meridian was a real lifesaver. It made it easer to navigate the subways, and Metro systems of Europe. In France especially they had no escalators at the Metro stations. The backpack function is very useful when you need to move fast. The backpack suspension was surprisingly comfortable and well designed. It has an ergonomic size adjustment just like a full backpack. It was fast and easy to deploy the backpack (suspension system) straps. Simply unzip the strap compartment and buckle in the bottom section of the straps to the outside of the pack and away you go. You could realistically use this bag as a traditional backpack. But the best part is that you do not need to.

The small daypack is an outstanding feature. It looks small but like the main bag it can hold a tremendous amount of stuff. It has these great pockets on the side that are very flush to the skin of the pack but can expand to hold a water bottle. It has provisions for a laptop up to 17". It has creature comforts like a padded back and a compartment for your MP3 player with an access hole for the headphones. There is even a hidden pocket behind the padded back where you can hide stuff or install a water bladder hydration system. It is an excellent bag all by itself. I kept my laptop, camera, and other valuables in it. When I did not want to wear the daypack I simply attached it to the main pack and I had one less thing to carry. On the airplane it was my carry on bag.

The attention to detail on this bag is terrific. It has a built-in retractable name tag, an easy access liquids compartment for fast inspection, integrated handles, and built-in strap for attaching an additional bag. The wheels have sealed bearings so even if you get them wet there is no problem. Honestly, when I read about these feature I thought, who cares. However, I ended up using every one of these features, even pulling my bag through puddles in the rain. A lot of thought and real world experience went into the design of this bag.

In conclusion, the Meridian 60L and 75L are the best luggage ever devised by man for a short trip anywhere you care to go. Together with its lifetime warranty the Meridian is well worth the price.

Wenger Mega 17" Compu-backpack -Black

I have one of these bags, my wife has another. We love them and swear by them. I've also given more than 20 of these bags away as promotional items for my company. Everyone who gets one raves about them.

The only con I can think of is that, while it's supposedly holds a 17" laptop, that's just barely true. My wife has a 17" macbook pro and you have to really work the zipper around the corners of the laptop if you use the laptop sleeve in the main compartment. However, you can still put a 17" laptop in the same compartment, just not in the sleeve and the bag closes just fine and the laptop is still held safely and securely.

As for pros, these things are incredibly durable. I've never seen a backpack of any type hold up as well as these have. I take mine almost everywhere with me and it's filled with my laptop, tablets, phones, cables, paper, books, pens, pencils, hi-lighters, business cards, thumb drives, and sometimes some tools and clothes. Not to mention the water bottle holders that I use frequently. And, even with all this crap in it, it has enough pockets and compartments to keep it all nicely organized with room to spare.

Oh, and it's nicely padded everywhere, which makes it a dream to cary around, even when it's heavily weighed down.

I've been using my bag religiously for many years now and the only two problems I have are:

The backpack straps have a mostly-decorative plastic loop at the end you can pull to adjust the length of straps. I closed mine in a card door and it broke in half. It's still 100% functional, but apparently shows that it's not 100% invincible.

Lastly, there is a section of the zipper approximately 1" long where a thread broke and the zipper has come loose in that area and the zipper pull can get snagged there. I need to go get some thread and a needle to fix this, but I've been too lazy. It's been like this for more than a year and hasn't gotten any worse.

So in the end, you need not go any further than this bag. This is the bag you're looking for. Buy it. Now.

The marketing for this bag is a lie. This bag is NOT a 17 inch. Not even close. At the most 15. My 14 inch dell latitude fits perfect, but my dell precision 17 is not even close to fitting. Ogio has one that is tight. Was hoping to find a better quality and bigger, but this is not it. Don't bother if you have a larger laptop than a 15.

Rumi Women's Blossom Backpack

Responsibly made from recycled plastic bottles. Comfortable straps, and on my back. Purchased on sale directly from maker this week rather than regular price currently on Amazon. I have used this style for two days, but have daily used the scoop bag of the same material, style, color, etc. for about 1.5-two years. The scoop's wide, strong strap is comfortable either on the shoulder or from one shoulder across body to opposite side of trunk. The scoop bag style shows almost no wear, fraying, etc. after heavy use. The backpack style should perform similarly, though I have not had it long enough to know the durability of the buckle fasteners on the backpack style.

HP BP849UT Business Nylon Notebook Backpack

I bought this backpack 3 months ago to replace a briefcase style bag.

I have been very pleased with it. The construction is of sturdy black nylon throughout.

I use the two exterior pockets in the back for small headphones and a paint brush I use for dusting.

The first compartment has pen holders stitched in, so I use it to hold a legal pad holder and other office type things.

The next compartment has two dividers in the bottom third of the bag. One of the dividers is mesh with a zip top, so I use this compartment to hold a cd case, antenna. cords, flash drives and spare disks.

This compartment also has a slot to hold an MP3 player and a rubberized hole for a headphone cord.

The final compartment is sized to fit a 17.3 inch laptop. My Dell fits just fine. The bottom of this compartment is thickly padded to absorb shocks to your laptop.

The bag's hardware is all hard plastic like nylon. This initially worried me, but I have had no problems. Each of the three compartments is double zippered.

You can carry it with the handle on the top (I hang mine on a coat rack at work), you can carry it on one shoulder comfortably, or you can wear it as a normal backpack(it has padding against your back.

My only beef with the bag, is that all the compartment subdivisions I mentioned are in the bottom of the bag, so if you are putting in a lot of stuff, the bottom will become over full, while the top still has room to spare. Putting at least some pockets in the to third of the compartments will solve this, and I plan to do this.

Still, I don't see how you could get a better bag for under $30.00. HP did a good job.

This backpack is great for large and small laptops, but keep in mind it is pretty much only for the laptop. It is very slim. Putting in the power brick to my 17in ENVY laptop makes it bulge a bit. But that being said, it is a very classy looking and useful. The design is great. Pockets where you need them and the quality is very good. The cushions on the straps and handle are great. I recommend this backpack if you only carry your laptop and maybe some papers and a mouse.

I purchased this backpack on a whim not knowing if my laptop would be protected. I have a 17.2 inch laptop and with that large screen you do not have alot of support I carry some books, notebooks, my asus transfromer prime and also my laptop and it doesn't ever feel too heavy. I should have read the description better. This is a very small backpack. My daughter still loves it, because she loves Dora. But I was hoping for a regular sized back pack and got a mini backpack. It is small, you may be able to fit a medium sized stuffed animal in it or many small toys. But I don't think it will fit a folder or notebook without bending the folder or notebook. Oh, well, my daughter enjoys it so it make it a good product. Its in good condition and seems durable.

This is a great case overall, well-built and attractive to the eye. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the size. I purchased the case for a 15.4" MBP and wanted it to fit snugly; it doesn't. There is about 1 1/2" gap between where my computer ends and the case begins. As such, you can comfortably store the cords, but this was not what I was expecting. Other than that, it's a great case.

My daughter loves the bold graphic animals on Beatrix backpacks and lunch boxes. She's in an owl phase now. The side pockets are convenient. The straps are sturdy. The only slight complaint I have is that the white has become discolored from all the use. (A surface cleaning might do the trick though.) I would definitely recommend.

Briggs & Riley Brx Explore 22 Upright

I conducted a lot of research before buying this bag. I needed something that would be the largest allowed to carry on a plane and also durable enough for the rugged places I have to travel to. This bag does the trick. It is by far, built better than any other carry on I've owned. It's very lightweight, yet sturdy and roomy. I love the pocket types and placements. There is no overkill, just what you need where you need it. The pictures do not show the upper lid pocket well, but what a great idea. It's constructed like a rectangular box, great for glasses or items you want relative protection around. The best part is that I use this to travel around war zones but can arrive at a 4 star hotel and still look classy. The 'no B.S.' warranty that Briggs and Riley has for their bags is a great relief as well.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews, speaking to friends and carefully evaluating sizes, brands and styles before picking this bag.

Size: I wanted a bag that fit in the overhead bin meeting std. US air carrier restrictions, and yet was as big as possible. This bag meets that requirement perfectly. I am able to fit my camera tripod (goes with me on most trips) and everything else I need for a 6 day trip. 5 STARS

Style: I had not initially thought of a bag that does not have stiff sides and a very rigid top. This was a concern at first, but I found the contents of the bag provides that structure that you expect from a bag like this. The advantage of the soft configuration is that you are more likely to fit this into a tight overhead bin as it bends/molds well. 5 STARS

Quality: The build quality is excellent. Wheels 5 STARS, handle 5 STARS, buckles, zips and fabric 5 STARS

Design: Almost perfect. The wide open main compartment with handle frame out side is excellent and I love the various outside compartments (slip magazines in the open one, laptop and manilla folders in the zip one and passport and liquids ziploc bag in the top one). The only negative I have with the bag is the main inside pouch. I am not sure what they were thinking (or not as the case may be) when they designed it. It has a single zip not double, so you cannot choose which way it opens and closes and it is the wrong way. Imagine you have your bag on the luggage rack at your hotel with lid open in a vertical position a very common occurrence. In this configuration, the zip opens at the bottom. Trying to put things in and close the zip before they fall out again is nigh on impossible. So Design gets a 4 STAR rating.

I originally purchased a Briggs and Riley BRX 19" carryon (see my review) but found it was too small for my travel needs and was able to exchange it for this bag. I have been very pleased with the carryon--the craftsmanship is superb, it is light yet rugged and is a well thought out bag with enough compartments and pockets to be useful, yet not gimmicky. I especially like the almost invisible expandable feature of the bag, giving an additional inch or so to the depth of the bag. The top and side handles make carrying the bag when not using it as a roller it very comfortable.

I am very impressed with the way the bag rolls over all sorts of floor and street surfaces, and find that the exterior handle makes for a perfectly flat compartment; it's easier to pack and avoid wrinkling clothes. The large compartment has very easy to use dividers to help clothes from wrinkling and the smaller front compartment has handy pockets, a zippered sub-compartment, and a padded section for a laptop or tablet computer. It also has an exterior expandable slash pocket; my only very minor complaint is that there is no zipper or other way to secure this pocket, making it possible to have items fall out when placing in overhead compartments.

For longer trips, this bag and my BRX backpack are the prefect complements, making it possible to travel for a week or more without being burdened by luggage. I am sold on the Briggs and Riley BRX line of luggage--including their no-nonsense lifetime warranty--and find that their combination of light weight, appearance, and ruggedness make them ideal travel companions. The Briggs and Riley BRX line strikes a good balance between slightly adventurous looking, light and flexible luggage and the more traditional bags that countless travelers use.

I've had this carry on for just over a year now, I bought it to replace an aging travelpro. I read quite a few reviews on various carry-on bags and settled on this based on the positive reviews, slightly different looking design to make it easier to spot at an airport vs. all the hippopanonymous black rectangles, and I liked the idea of the exterior luggage handle resulting in a flatter floor.

So after a year of use (~50k miles in the last year, combination of shorter and longer trips, both business and personal etc) I'm moderately happy with this bag:

Pros:

1) Build quality is overall very good. The one exception is the finish on the handle portion of the carry handle is wearing off prematurely, but overall it's holding up well. Fabric holds up well, zippers are pretty solid etc.

2) Generally well designed. Lots of little features that make sense, placement of pockets etc. One example is the little slot inside for your liquids is very easy to access quickly at security lines then replace after. An interior pouch for dirty laundry is also nice. Pockets on the exterior are the right size etc. The compression straps (someone posted in the comment of another review that they are not compression straps ... well they may well have other uses but they do compress the bag) cinche it down pretty tight when full, though I still had some problems fitting in overheads (more on that later).

3) Looks good and stands out from the pack while still looking reasonably sleek and professional. I want to be able to spot my bag on a luggage carousel (though I rarely check this), spot someone walking away with it etc. and the gray and slightly different shape help w/ this but at the same time doesn't look ridiculous.

Cons:

1) My biggest gripe is, it just isn't that space efficient in terms of interior space vs. the exterior dimensions of the bag. I think the exterior carry handle is probably the culprit here, along with the less "squared" shape of the bag. It just doesn't seem to fit as much clothing as my old travelpro, which would be ok but despite this I often have a harder time fitting the B&R into overhead bins depends on the plane, even on some larger planes like some 757s and 737s it either won't fit, or fits only with an inordinate amount of cramming (basically have to force it in so it compresses on itself as much as possible). Regional jets it needs to be checked at the jetway but that's a given for just about any bag of this general type. Also when packing clothes, the flatter floor as a result of the exterior carry handle doesn't seem to yield any practical benefits yes it's flatter but my clothes don't come out any less wrinkled or anything as a result.

2) Premature wearing on the carry handle is bothersome, though again otherwise the build quality and materials quality are pretty good and it's holding up well with this one exception.

Overall, a good product with good materials and build quality. However, if I could do it again after owning this for a year, I'd probably get something else something more rectangular with an interior carry handle (the more generic business traveller carryons you see everywhere) that seem to have less problems fitting into overhead bins while holding as much or more than this.

If you don't want to carry your backpack or duffel bag on a business trip but need something a little more rough and tumble than the standard rolling suitcas the Briggs & Riley BRX line is a well designed bag that will meet both needs at the same time. It is like a chameleon that changes for the need and keeps your luggage inside the carry on compartment without skimping on the features of more full size suitcases.

The BRX 22" bag has made numerous trips with me to various cities and occasions worldwide. I have used it mainly for 3-5 day trips but also used it a few times for a ten day business trip in San Francisco and a week-long business/personal trip to Hong Kong. I would recommend the bag mainly for shorter trips as it is only carry-on size but it does expand and it larger than some 18" carry-ons. If you pack lightly and do not plan to purchase a lot in route it works well beyond the 3-5 days I generally use it for.

The length of the handle and the quality of the wheels were stand outs in my early tests with this suitcase compared to past suitcases. The handle was plenty long enough to not have the annoying leg bang that occurs with short handles and the wheels are a sturdy, dense rubber that always seems to roll well.

The expansion and bottom handle take some getting used to and are my biggest cons with this particular suitcase. The bottom handle can be hard to find when you are gripping the bag and at times feels flimsy because it is built into the outer fabric not a separate handle. Also, the expansion is a partial zip (not all the way around the top) and this makes the expansion feature smaller and less optimal than it should be. The size though as mentioned is adequate for a typical long weekend and up to a five day trip.

The bag is extremely durable and despite all the trips (including numerous times checked) it does not show major wear and tear. It also has a good cinch down strap feature that keeps me feeling safe that the bag will not come open unnecessarily. The construction does look more casual than the standard black rolling suitcase. This is done to provide for the outside pockets and provide additional rugged construction for use of this bag beyond a simple business trip.

I have not yet had to use the famous Briggs & Riley warranty but colleagues of mine swear by the policy and have gotten prompt and remarkable service when requesting a repair or new suitcase due to damage.

I would recommend this bag for use as a go to bag for almost every occasion, unless of course you need to have a backpack or carry bag in some of the more remote places. It provides stylish, durable construction with numerous convenience added packing features.

Ladies' Leather Mini Backpack (#1820-02)

After 9 years of a diaper bag backpack, it was finally time to look for something a little less babyish. During those 9 years of diapers, I grew to love backpacks as an alternative to purses. With kids, often times my hands are full or I'm trying to hold one of their hands and it's so very annoying when your purse keeps slipping down your arm. With a backpack, life is much easier.

I wanted one that would be attractive, not too big since I'm a light traveler but bigger than the mini-packs, sturdy because I absolutely hate picking out purses/bags (took me 4 weeks to make a final decision on this one), and simple. I don't need a lot of pockets and zippers.

My main concern with this bag was the comment about it not being particularly feminine and not exactly durable. Since everything else about this bag looked good, and all other comments positive, I decided to buy it. I went with black and so far, I'm very happy with it. It's very attractive and sturdy. The straps are much thinner than the picture indicates. The main storage area is just right. Inside this area is a spot for your cell phone to slide into which is nice, but could stand to be a little bigger. Since my phone is in a cover it's a pretty tight squeeze to get it to fit. The front zipper compartment is a nice size for wallets or glasses. There's a `hidden' zipper at the back of the bag you can use to access the main compartment. An interesting feature, but I haven't seen a real good purpose for it yet. Anyway, overall I'm very pleased with it. If the snap falls off next week, though, you can bet I'll be back to update this review with a much different rating :-)

but not as it turned out what we were looking for. Felts that the straps were too narrow to provide comfort for toting around all day by a person with back problems.

Angry Birds Large Rolling Backpack

I ordered this backpack for my son and 2 days later it broke and he's so upset and I have to buy another one, the bottom of the backpack broke and the handle broke as well and now I have to order another one and school has not even been in session for 1 and 1/2.

I ordered the Angry Birds large Rolling backpack for my grandson who is starting 3rd grade. He loves Angry Birds so was thrilled when he saw it. I never got the backpack. It was delivered to a wrong address and after weeks waiting the company told me that USPS changes the address automatically. I think the company in this case should've written the address manually and not through the computer. But I just got a full refund, which shows it is a responsible company but not too effective. My son really wanted that backpack. I got it from another company with no problems with my shipping address. Plus I've ordered before from Amazon and received my items with no complications.:(

I love the pattern. I love that you just wipe it clean. I love the fold out changing station, that is so darn handy. I love the pattern. The size is great for a large diaper bag. What I absolutely hate are the straps! For nearly $200 you should have very comfortable straps. The shoulder strap has no padding and what is worse the backpack straps are nearly useless they are very un-ergonomic and uncomfortable. The bag keeps slipping off my shoulders and ends up hurting my back. I end up using a 15 year old Jansport backpack when I am not taking my stroller but need more than a clutch style diaper bag will hold. I usually leave this in the back of my Mazda 5 so I can fold down a seat and have a handy changing station.

I love this bag! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the steep price, the dang velcro that is super strong and sticks to everything ruining a lot of my clothing and fraying the seatbelt like straps, and also because I own a lighter fabric which has become dirty due to rubbing against dark jeans, and spilled baby food. Even though the material is waterproof be careful because it can stain. Also, the company does not want you to wash it in the machine.. but I did anyways, no damage done, but the stains didn't come out. I do not recommend putting it in the dryer! Now onto what I love about this bag.. I love how it can be a backpack or a shoulder bag.. I pretty much always have it on my back and then am carrying my baby in the ERGO in the front. The diaper-duty front zip part is very convenient. When I have to change my son when we are out, I can hold him with one arm, while I set the bag towards the top of the changing station, unzip and roll out the pad and then place him onto it.. It is super easy having everything right there! Also the bag is gorgeous! The applique or handstitched design adds a nice touch and I have been very pleased with it thus far. All the designs they have are fun, and I was able to still pick a cool design without being at all girly since I have a baby boy. I am actually looking forward to buying another one if I have another girl next because they are that beautiful!

I use this bag all the time. It is very convenient where the mattress pad is stored. Sometimes I just unzip the changing pad portion, then unfold it out, I have all my changing supplies right in front of me.

After adding all your gear, the bag can get heavy due to the coated material. I chose this bag because you can wipe it clean easily, it has a nice pattern, has backpack straps and doesn't scream diaper bag I think it is a little overpriced for what you getit doesn't come with stroller clips (an additional $20) or an insulated bag. There are other stylish brands who do provide both those option and possibly more.

I withheld a star for its weight, lack of insulated compartment and for needing to purchase stroller clips.

I have owned several different diaper bags. I was especially attracted to the front changing system on this diaper bag. The inside is VERY tight and small to me. You can only fit three size 3 diapers in the front pocket, and I like to put atleast 6 or 7 diapers in my bag. Not worth the money in my opinion.

My son has thrown this around now for 2 years. My only problem was that the photo advertised showed the lunch box attached. I assumed for the money I paid that I was receiving both.....after I only received the backpack, I saw in small small letters that they are sold separately. Had I paid enough attention, I would not have spent the money. A back pack is a back pack, however, my son is the only one in school with this. So, I do like that I can spot him easily. haha I also like that he is getting used to being an individual.

Roxy Juniors Lately Backpack

I wish there were more reviews on this, so here I go:

The backpack seems quite sturdy. It was larger than I thought (about standard Jansport size, I thought it'd be a smidgeon smaller.)

It' s also not as pale as shown in the photo. I was a little disappointed with that, but perhaps that is better so it won't show much staining.

The interior has a small zipper pouch and a self-phone pocket (and a slightly wider pocket next to that). The inner lining IS off-white, so it will show staining (makeup, art supplies, snacks, etc.)

(In the video, I held up a standard-size Bobble water bottle to give an idea of size.)

Right sized with tons of storage pockets. Daughter just gushed about it when she got it! You won't go wrong with this one.

High Sierra Access Backpack

This "High Sierra Access Backpack" is well designed and quite sturdy, making it perfect for my daughter's college book and laptop load. We bought this to replace the backpack provided the college when it finally gave out after two years of abuse.

Here are my observations:

+ Quality; this is made from good material and is well constructed

+ Design; lots of conveniently placed pockets

+ Comfort; nicely padded and distributes weight

+ Size; nicely sized for 15" laptops (a 17" would fit) and sundry school supplies

+ Rain Cover; stores nicely in dedicated compartment on bottom of pack

There really isn't anything we don't like with the design, functionality, or durability.

I went looking online for this specific backpack. Bought it at Dicks 2 years ago for about twice the price. We bought this for one reason, it is the largest backpack we could find (in cubic inches). My daughter lugs almost 40 lbs of books a day back and forth to school (and soccer and track practices) and this backpack fit them nicely and held up for over one school year. I am surprised it lasted that long with the abuse it took, Eventually it was a zipper that gave out but the material was still in great shape. I bought one for my son too for this school year, before replacing my daughters. The backpack also has an attached rain cover built in at the bottom that you can unvelcro and pull over the backpack when it's raining. This was especially useful when the backpack was lugged to her sports practices. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a very durable backpack at a reasonable price...

Pros:

Love the expandability and all the pockets. Seems durable.

Cons:

I first noticed that the zipper on the main pocket was hard to zip over the top, even if there was nothing in it. I thought the flap was maybe a teensy bit too tight, or too stiff... and that it would improve with use.

Then I noticed that the odd little velcro pouch that comes with it was sewn lazily and thus is too small (and lopsided) for anything to go in it. Not sure what it was intended for... a tiny cellphone or walkie-talkie?

But I recently put the backpack to the test, on two small (week-long) trips. Both involved carrying it through the airport; the latter involved carting my laptop around as I attended conference sessions. And that's when I figured out something is very wrong with this pack. My back hurt quite a bit, but I thought I just hadn't gotten the straps adjusted right. When I took it off, and turned it around so I was looking at the part that touches your back, where the straps are attached, I realized that they are sewn on crooked. There is no way the pack can balance properly, or zip shut elegantly (see above).

I have to say, I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't notice this right off the bat. I'm usually more vigilant, especially when purchasing online. But I'm even more disappointed in High Sierra, that they would let such a product pass inspection and be sold. I would be wary of buying any of their products now...

Miche Bag Prima Big Bag Shell - Chelsey Urban Bag

I own the Chelsey Prima Miche Shell shown here. I bought it soon after purchasing my Prima base bag (here's one here: Miche Prima Base, and it's still one of my favorites. As it's white I consider it more of a summer bag, but I used it quite frequently then and I'm sure I will again next summer. The shell is durable, and although it's white, it never picked up a speck of dirt. Its embossed with an all-over criss-cross pattern and rivet detailing. The flap top has a zip pocket and really gives this bag a different look than many other Miche bags. Both of the front lower pockets have additional room for a phone or other compact items. The super neat thing about this bag is its one of two Miche Prima bags that can double as a backpack due to discreet loops on the back of the shell. (The other is Laurie, which is identical except it's a steely grey color). To use it as a backpack you need to purchase TWO Miche Adjustable Long Straps in either black or brown. Even without the straps, the bag is still super cute as a regular purse. And actually, as a backpack it's a little floppy and the top doesn't always stay down right, so I use it more as a purse/messenger bag anyway.

For those that aren't familiar with Miche, the purses have three parts -the base bag, the handles (plus carabiners that hook the handles to the purse), and then the shells. There are four sizes of base bags & shells. Smallest to largest they are: Petite, Classic, Demi, and Prima (also called the "Big Bag").

The draw to these bags is that you don't have to switch out all the contents of your purse every time you want to change your purse's look -the shells easily slide over the base bag, and the base + shell securely attach at the top with strong, credit card safe magnets. (Some of the smaller base bag sizes have shells that just attach to the outside of the base, but the Demi and Prima base bags are entirely enclosed in each shell you buy.) The Prima base bag is the largest of the bases -it's for the girl that takes "everything but the kitchen sink" everywhere she goes, but still wants to look great doing it. As a 6-foot tall woman, the bag looks perfectly normal-sized on me, but I've seen photos of really skinny, tiny model-y like women with the Prima bags, and the extra large bag size looks great on them, too.

The Prima Base bag comes with the standard black handles and carabiners. The Prima shells, like Chelsey shown here, come with nothing extra -just the shell shown in the photo.

Once you have the Prima base bag (and handles), you can purchase Prima shells, like this one, that come in many textures and colors, each of which instantly changes the look of your purse. There are different types of handles you can purchase separately, too, which can change your bag's look even more. However, the basic black handles do look fine with most of the shell styles. Just make sure when you buy shells that you're buying ones that match the base size you own -if you own a Classic base buy Classic shells, a Prima base buy Prima shells, etc.

I don't sell Miche -I've never even been to a Miche party. I heard about these bags this summer, and bought some online because the idea really made sense to me. This interchangeable shell system has solved my lifelong purse organization dilemma. Before getting this bag (and some shells) I typically used the same 2-3 bland purses for many years in a row, never caring how they looked in general, and especially not caring if they looked good with what I was wearing. Often, when I would switch between my sad few purses, I'd invariably leave something important in my previous purse. Now, I look forward to which "look" I'm going to have each day and know everything I put in my purse yesterday WILL be in it today, regardless of which shell I choose.

I bought this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. It came quickly and was exactly what she asked for.

I will buy others in the future.
