The zipper on mine broke within a month. First one side and then the other. Just broke while zipping. This really sucks because I have now purchased four different items from Vivitar, only to have them all break within a month. Sad. This bag is pretty alright otherwise.

I want to start off by saying this bag is HUGE! Biggest backpack like thing Ive ever own. The picture doesnt do it justice.

I like this bag. It has space for everything you might need, and I'm big on bringing extra stuff just in case, with this bag, I can fit them all. I had my Canon t3i, My Canon hand camera (dont remember the name), Panasonic lumix LX5, Tablet, Rode mic, flood light, batteries, Tascam DR40, extra cords and batterys, plus I was able to tie a shoulder rig on the outside.. Its basically like carrying a mobile suitcase. This bag was comfortable, and straps helps to keep it on.

I fell in love with this bag, but 20 mins into using it, some of the mesh on one of the pouches already started to give out (PS: I started to give this bag 4 stars,but I figure it should last at least 1 day before falling apart). The price of this bag was DEFINITELY withing reach compared to the rest. I think this is a great bag for people who tend to carry a lot of items.

Pros: Big, space for everything, comfortable, Big, secure, lots of compartments for your stuff, and big. Has space for Camera, tons of equipment, cords, and specialized laptop/tablet space. THE PRICE MAKES THIS A WINNER!

Con: Its big (which can be a problem for some), mesh was coming apart day 1 for me, so I suspect after a year I might need to find a new one. No quick easy access. So if youre looking to quickly grab your camera, you couldnt set it up that way but it doesnt easily lend itself to that.

Osprey Metron 25-Litre Commuter Pack

This is my 2nd bike-commuting-specific backpack. My first was a Banjo Brothers Backpack which while waterproof was just bulky and awkward and had only a single large pocket.

This pack is far superior to that pack and also to every other general backpack I've owned.

Pros:

Comfortable weight distribution it packs more vertically than it does outwards which distributes the weight much more evenly when you are riding.

Laptop section I work in IT and am a grad student so I haul my laptop everywhere. Having a dedicated padding slot for it just makes things easier for me

Pockets Main pocket holds laptop and lunch etc, but there is also a slightly smaller outer pocket that has slots for pens and a key fob

Light clip pretty standard on a cycling pack but I still love the feature

Rain Cover! So awesome. I think it's much better than having an awkward waterproof pack. Just include the rain fly right in! And you don't even have to remember to bring it since it's built-in. It's been tested in plenty of storms I've ridden through and I've never had any problems.

Cons:

Hip straps are kinda cheap? But they do the job and are removable, so it's not even much of a con

No water/coffee pocket I just use the Ulock pocket, but it's annoying they don't have one

The pouches on the straps annoyed me at first, but now I use them for phone and keys and find it more of a 'pro' now than a 'con' but I also don't care about looking cool so others may consider this more of a serious con.

Conclusion:

If you're looking for a quality pack for your commute, even a regular commute but especially if you're commuting by bicycle, this could be a wonderful pack for you. Unlike the previous reviewer I find it quite compact especially compared to other bike-commuter backpacks on the market. If you're used to a messenger bag or a non-commuting bicycle pack like a Camelback style, though, then it may seem bulkier.

I bought this backpack for a trip to Germany in the summer. The last backpack I took over there was not very good and I vowed to buy a better backpack for next time. First off, you can't go wrong with Osprey brand. I own a messenger bag, a hiking backpack and now this backpack I will use on my travels. I put my bags through a lot and they have never failed. It's a great investment. Now to the bag. Very sturdy material. It has more packets than expected. That means less time spent while searching for that thing you just put in your pack 5 minutes ago. There is lots of space in this bag. The pictures on here and the Osprey site really don't do this bag any justice. One of the main reasons I bought this bag was because it has a rain cover. This is a must if you carry cameras and camera accessories like I do. It folds up nice and out of the way. Another cool feature is the way the bag is designed. The few pockets on the outside of the bag are hard to see and actually look like the design of the bag. This means less chance of someone trying to steal something from your bag. I am very pleased with my purchase and I am excited to try it out in Germany and France. I gave it a few test runs at home and I am confident it will work to my advantage.

Construction and materials are excellent

Great cellphone/music player pouch

Ultimately I didn't find this to be much better than my $50 Burton pack and returned the Osprey. The backpack is inefficient in some respects. It was supposed to be my largest pack but was never big enough to fit many groceries and therefore didn't fit that build. As a smaller commuter pack it was way too bulk for a clean shirt and lunch.

If the size is right for you, you should love this. Again the construction is excellent and materials are exceptional.

I read a previous review before buying which said good bag but the pockets on the shoulder straps are irritating. Ignored that in favour of other positive reviews.

I have to say, however, that the pockets on the shoulder straps are very irritating. One is supposed to carry keys on a retractable lanyard, the other your mobile phone/ipod. Good idea, but they are mounted so high that when you carry the pack over one shoulder, you have one of these pockets sticking in to the underside of your neck. Only when you mount the bag with all straps, including the chest strap in place do they sit away from your face. Even then they are obtrusive, sticking out from your upper chest.

I am seriously considering cutting them off, preferring a scrappy looking shoulder strap to the current poor function.

Rest of bag is great quality make and thoughtful distribution of pockets and straps etc. Which makes the pocket thing even more irritating.

Great design and extremely comfortable I hardly know I'm wearing it on long commutes. The attention to detail and finish is excellent. All in all a great backpack that I would recommend to any commuter.

I went back and forth a lot trying to decide whether to get this bag. I've been looking at getting a saddleback bag for months but couldn't bring myself to shell out 600 bucks. I was hesitant on this bag only for the lack of reviews, it looked essentially identical in the pictures to the saddleback. I have now received the bag, I have to say I am not disappointed. The only big difference from the saddleback bag that I can tell is that it isn't lined with pigskin on the inside, no false bottom, and of course no 100 year warranty. It all seems to be of good quality and easily fit my 17in laptop with the extended battery attached. Great service as well, I ordered it on Thursday and got it Monday.

I, too, been hesitant between this product and the saddleback products and finally decided to go with this "cheaper" version.

I travel a fair amount for work, nationally, and lately, with the plane size shrinking, I've had trouble using my little suitcase as a carry-on. I wanted a bag, while staying stylish, that could fit a pair of pants, shirts, and maybe a sweater or jacket.

That's why I went with this over-sized version of the briefcase.

I received the product yesterday, and the product is definitely like the featured pictures: quite large size, high quality leather, the Dark coffee color is gorgeous, and the "touch" of the product is very smooth. In short, extremely happy with my order.

Now, the best part is my interaction with the customer service, via email. I made a mistake on the color in my previous order, cancelled it to re-order the right color (dark coffee). A customer rep wrote me a nice email about the refund, and in the meantime, let me know that my "2 days delivery" order that I made for delivery was unnecessary as the product was shipped from Florida to Georgia, and would be delivered in 2 days no matter what. The rep them refunded me the shipping cost.

I got my package in a day and half after order.

So, there you have it: great product, great customer service I gladly recommend dealing with the company!

I have had this bag for about a month. I got one that had been returned, and it was only $200. Shipping was great, no problems, and I love the beautiful dark brown shine of the bag. At 9lbs. It is a heavy bag, all leather bags are. It holds all I need, and then some, and the straps are easy to adjust to change the way it is carried-messenger bag style, or backpack. had this bag for about a year... I love the way it looks and i use it now and again. Its high quaity...however its too heavy to lug thru airports and all over the world so i dont use it as much as i want....it also doesnt have a specific pocket for files and laptops to they just kinda bounce around which can be irritating. other than that love the bag

Like another reviewer, I too debated buying a bag from Saddleback. I own some other Saddleback Leather and while it is great, I too didn't want to shell out $600+ for a bag. I'll say this I ordered my bag late on a Monday (4 PM ish) and my bag was in my hands less than 48 hours later after paying only $14.50 for shipping. How's that?!?!? And I live probably 1,500+ miles away from where it shipped from.

The bag looks great and seems virtually identical to its competitor only is has a suede liner. It is comfortable to carry, is spacious and will easily handle everything I need to carry including a 17inch Lenovo laptop with an extended battery. In fact, I 'm a regular traveler and this will allow me to carry a few more items comfortably that I was unable to carry before.

I ordered Dark Brown and bag's color looks great, I haven't carried it much yet, so I'll file an update later on, but so far the experience has been a vast improvement over what I had before.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is the bag could stand to be a little stiffer. The divider in the middle is a little floppy, but one advantage to that is it can shift so you can get more in one compartment versus the other, so I appreciate that, but it along with the rest of the bag with the flap open is a little floppier than I envisioned. This isn't a major problem at all, just wasn't expecting it. So far, so good. For over a $350.00 savings (counting shipping), I'm happy with my purchase.

SoYoung Charlie Unisex Diaper Bag (khaki)

As all new mothers, I searched a long time before buying my 2nd diaper bag as the 1st one wasn't working out. (my first one was a lower priced skiphop bag)

I bought this bag, although the price was above my budget, because of the large insulation pocket. I recently took this bag out on a day trip and couldn't believe what fitted in there.

In the insulated pocket I had, one 8oz Dr Brown bottle (fits standing up), sippy cup, 2 x 4oz containers with food and one banana + spoons. In the main compartment I had her back up outfit, 5 diapers, wipes, stuffed animal, hoodie, formula dispenser, sunhat, pacifier, bibs. In the mommy pocket, my credit card wallet, 2 sunscreen bottles, cell phone, sunglasses. Through the large item pocket I had a folded receiver blanket.

So yes it does fit a lot and the bag looks very compact, with all of this in there I still had great oversight. The clear pockets in the main compartment and the contrast lining work very well.

Also, my husband doesn't mind carrying this bag at all, that was important to us.

Why not 5 stars, the side pockets with insulation are very small, they fit a small sippy cup well (without the handles) but not very good for a bottle, they aren't high enough.

The smart phone pocket is not wide enough for an iphone and the sunglass pocket is rather small too, my sunglasses don't fit easily. But that is not the reason why I bought the bag, although since it is in there it would be nice to be able to use it. The main reason for the 4 stars is that the shoulder strap is not padded, it would be nice to have little bit of padding on the shoulder strap especially because the bag does carry a lot of items.

Overall, a great bag, worth the money I believe.

I love this diaper bag so much it must have been designed by a mama (or savvy papa) Here is my long list of loves:

-great style: doesn't look like a traditional diaper bag

-lots of great pockets, inside and out, that are easy to open/close

-insulated pockets for bottles/snacks

-easy to wipe out the inside (waterproof type fabric on inside)

-converts easily between messenger, purse and backpack style (huge plus as I go back to work soon and will use it as a backpack when I ride my bike to work and because it looks like a tote and not a silly diaper bag, it will be great for work and travel)

-good size bigger than a regular purse (it has to be to fit all my babe's things) but not so big that it looks silly

So glad I invested in this bag I was dreading buying a diaper bag and I still can't believe how much I love this one!

I bought this duffel bag thinking it would be different in terms of quality from the other bags, the design is cool but the quality of the product itself is no big deal, the side pockets broke inside and the bag is deteriorating faster than I thought and I was carrying the normal stuff you would expect to have into a MMA bag, headguard, mma gloves, gi, etc, etc, nothing very heavy. There should be something of better quality in the market, so if you buy this one do it on your own risk!

Rothco G.I. Style Double-Strap Duffle Bag

I use this bag to carry my kendo equipment and medical supplies, and it certainly holds a lot of things. I took it out once a week for about 4 weeks, then three times a week for about another 4 weeks. All in all, I'm impressed that it held up with no damage (that I can tell), and it carries objects with a weird shape well (so long as it fits). For example, the kendo helmet/facemask and chest protector are rigid pieces of equipment, but it's not really too bad to wear on the shoulders. If you use this to carry clothes and hygienic supplies, it'll definitely do the job. I've taken it up holding food and water for friends on a hiking trip, and the bag lasted longer than I did (bags don't get tired, and this one hasn't ripped or anything).

I ordered this duffel as an alternative to the hard shell large suitcase. I like it, but you do need to be prepared to carry a significant amount of weight on your shoulders. Fully packed this bag can be heavy. As long as you're o.k. with that, it is certainly more durable through the baggage claim then some hard sided cases.

I got issued one of these in boot camp in the Navy. Unfortunately it got moldy years ago and got thrown out so I picked this up as a replacement. This one is entirely canvas, not that strange nylon-type material like the GI ones were, but so far seems very durable. Recommended

Title says it all. This case is well constructed with nice stitching and is soft and offers decent padding for your Toshiba NB205 netbook. I use it with a NB2050-N210 (the cheaper, black model) and it fits perfectly. Slide the netbook in, and flip the 'hood' over it for a nice snug fit. Originally I wished that it had a zipper instead of the 'hood,' but the non-zipper design is nice and solid. Over time, the hood may eventually get looser and loose its form (e.g. get floppy) but it seems to be holding up well so far. It was cheap on Amazon (fifteen bills) and a no-brainer since there aren't any other cases out there that will fit the NB205 perfectly like this case.

My son has thrown this around now for 2 years. My only problem was that the photo advertised showed the lunch box attached. I assumed for the money I paid that I was receiving both.....after I only received the backpack, I saw in small small letters that they are sold separately. OGIO Locker Bag

I've had this bag for a couple months now, and use it several times a week at the gym. On the whole I think it's a very good bag that delivers what it promises. The positives:

--Slim enough to fit easily in the lockers at 3 different locations I go to, which have pretty standard-sized half-length lockers.

--The interior and most compartments are easily accessible when in the locker, which frees up space on the bench in front of the locker. For me that alone makes the bag worth it because now I don't have to jockey for space to sit or for my stuff when the locker room gets crowded.

--Interior volume is spacious--I can fit my workout shoes, hand towel, shower towel, shorts, shirt, socks, and underwear and still have room left.

--Shoe "compartment" works well; even large shoes easily fit due to the extra pop-out section in the back of the bag.

--The "door" has enough pouches to hold deodorant, shampoo & soap containers, and a couple other items.

--Construction is solid, yet surprisingly light, with lots of venting to help dry out sweaty clothes and keep down odors.

OK, but there are a few negatives, which IMHO could be solved with a few design tweaks:

--Because it is so lightweight the bag easily tips over. Not a problem when it's in the locker, but if you set it on the bench or floor you've got to be careful. This is especially true when the door swings open--it acts to pull the bag over, especially if it's weighted by bottles of shampoo, deodorant, etc.

--The door has a single zipper, which opens from top to bottom along the side of the door. To open the door you have to completely unzip it (over the top, down the side, and under the door). This is my biggest complaint about the bag--it is a hassle to run the zipper along the underside of the door if the bag is in your locker or on the floor. You have to lift up the bag to accomplish the final stretch under the door, which often causes the bag to tip over (see point above). If you set the bag slightly out of the locker to more easily unzip the door, then it tends to tip forward out of the locker as the door opens, due to the lightweight design, potentially spilling your stuff.

--The "wet" compartment at the back of the bag is nice, but my old duffel-style Oggio bag had two wet compartments; one I used for dirty clothes, and the other for my shower sandals. The wet compartment on this bag isn't large enough to fit my shower sandals, nor will they fit in the shoe area along with my workout shoes. So I put the shower sandals in the large "magazine" pouch on the side of the bag--which works well unless you want to actually use it for magazines, etc. Fortunately for me my Kindle fits perfectly in the compartment on the front of the door.

--Because the bag is taller than typical duffels it leaves less room to hang your street/work clothes in the locker, as they'll drape over the bag, especially if you want to hang both a shirt and slacks. (This is of course only an issue with typical half-length lockers. If your gym has full-length lockers you're golden).

The first two issues above could be solved by adding weights to the bottom of the bag (I may try this myself), and by adding a second zipper to the door, so you could leave just the underside unzipped if you prefer. If they made those changes this bag would be nearly perfect. As it is I still think the pros far outweigh the cons, and the bag delivers where it needs to: it keeps my stuff organized & accessible, and makes changing & cleaning up after a workout a bit easier and more efficient.

This bag is simply amazing! I go to the gym 4 times per week and often go directly from work so I needed a bag that would hold everything I needed to workout and clean-up afterwards. The Ogio Locker Bag does it all: it's got a special compartment for my gym shoes and a shelf to separate them from my towel and workout gear. It fits perfectly in just about any gym's locker (I go to Bally's) and with its front-opening door, you can access everything you need while your bag is IN the locker! I love the fact that it comes with containers for my toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap) and also with a comb, brush, and mirror. To top it off, it's light-weight, sturdy, and even comes with a built-in vent so that your wet/sweaty clothes don't get too ripe! LOL! : ) I couldn't be happier with my purchase! GET THIS BAG!! This bag is very well designed it is perfect for the gym locker, with handy compartments and the ventilated top. However, my huge running shoes barely fit in the shoe area (women's size 12.5, men's size 10.5)

The only other negative is the frame of my bag warped when left in my hot car all day. I decided to go ahead and replace it for the winter because it is that great a bag, but need to come up with a solution for next summer.

I have wanted an OGIO brand locker bag for a long time. They look really cool and I prefer the locker bag shape over a traditional gym bag since I workout at the YMCA and keep all my stuff in a locker.

I remember when these were about $100 and I'm glad to see the price has dropped considerably over the years. I've had mine for about 2 years.

Pros:

1. Looks Its a great looking bag (I have the black/red design). I still have people at the gym who ask me about it.

2. Quality Very good build quality. I usae mine 5 times a week and it still looks new and the zippers and fabric are holding up well. Not to mention its rigid enough it keeps its shape all the time empty or full unlike cheaper knock-offs.

3. Locker Design This is the main reason I wanted one of these. Tall narrow lockers are a pain and this design works well in a locker and makes it easier to get to my stuff.

4. Lots of Pockets This thing has a place for everything. It has a front pocket for misc., a main compartment for your clothes, a rear pocket that is sealed for wet items and two side narrow pockets (I use them for my iPad, workout schedules, etc). Not to mention all the toiletry pockets for shampoo, deodorant, etc.

5. Shoe Divider I love that there is a shelf keep my tennis shoes away from my clothes. You never know what you're stepping on and I don't want it on my clothes.

Cons:

1. Single Zipper The three main compartments all have only one zipper each. To me this is a cheap design and really hurts the brand. There should be two zippers on each compartment, if for no other reason than to allow the owner to put a small suitcase lock on and secure your items inside from others. As it is now, you cannot lock any compartment.

2. Hanging in Locker You can sit this bag on the floor of a locker, but that means you have to bend over to get anything in or out. I like to hang my bag up higher. To do this you have to use the shoulder strap. It works okay, but is not ideal and puts unnecessary wear on the strap. I'd suggest a sewn in s-hook or similar on the back or middle of the bag. This would let you hang it either from a coat hook or cross bar that are in most lockers.

3. Carabiners I wish this product came with a way to more easily hang Carabiners from the bag. Often I have water bottles, wet sacks, etc. that come with a Carabiner for attachment.

4. Water Bottle Holder There really is no dedicated elastic water bottle pocket and there really should be on either the front, back or sides.

Overall I really like this bag, but it lacks some obvious amenities to be a 5-star quality bag worth $50+ dollars.

This bag is made for gym lockers. I only wish it were taller to accomodate more things! It is all the product description is and more. I only wish I had bought another color than black everyone who has one looks like mine.

My First LeapPad Backpack

I love having a place to organize my daughter's stuff; I was worried about losing cartridges.

I also wish there was room for more books and cartridges.

I got this backpack to use with the My First Leappad I got for my daycare. I am able to store the Leappad and six books and cartridges neatly. It's easy for the 2 & 3 year olds to carry around and use and keeps everything from getting broken or lost. This is a must-have!

We bought this for my middle child (will be passed on to the youngest in a couple years) and I was a little disappointed in the storage (or lack of.) There are only 3 book and 3 cartridge slots, you can fit more in but they seem to stretch out when you do that. They should have built it more like the LeapPad Storage Organizer my older daughter has. Other than that, it works or what it is made for.

I have not seen this backpack but all the reviews mention the fact that it only holds three books and cartridges. We (my wife) found a backpack for the Fisher Price Reader that holds twelve books and cartridges. This backpack easily holds the books, cartridges, and the leap pad in one convenient place.
