Camelbak Octane LR Hydration Pack

Camelbak Octane LR Hydration PackThe Camelbak Octane LR is the most comfortable and practical hydration gear I have ever used. For more than a year, this pack has been my go-to kit for runs of 13-22 miles. It is too heavy for under 13 miles, and too small for over 22, at least for us copious sweaters, or unless you have a way to refill. But if you regularly pound out runs in that 13-22 mile sweet spot, this pack deserves a place in your gear bin.

First, this pack is simply amazingly comfortable. The lumbar bladder sits low and wraps somewhat around your waist, keeping most of the the weight off your back and shoulders. It's very snug and there is very little excess motion -it moves with you, not against you. The wide shoulder straps spread the load across a larger area while being soft enough to avoid chaffing. The shoulder and waist straps are easily adjustable and while there is occasional slippage, they are generally don't require much readjusting while on in motion.

Second, this pack has usefulness to match the comfort. The waist straps have mesh pockets that can hold several gels or other small necessities. On either side of your spine sit the two main pockets that are big enough to hold a light windbreaker, towel, phone, and other larger items. An exterior mesh pocket is great for quickly stowing things like sunglasses, a hat, etc. There are several convenient places to clip a iPod shuffle or nano. I opted for the lime-green color, which hopefully makes me easier to see along the rural roads I frequent.

I also have the CamelBak Octane 18x, a larger 100oz pack. While the larger capacity is nice, it is much less comfortable for running than the Octane LR. Unless you need something to sustain you for distances longer than a marathon, the Octane LR is the obvious choice. I also pick the Octane LR over dual-bottle waist packs, which I find are tough to position comfortably and almost always experience serious strap slippage.

A wholehearted recommendation.

I am training for an ultramarathon later in the summer, and need to put in some big mileage without stopping for water. I looked at a bunch of options; chose this vest because it looked like the best of the bunch. I am pretty satisfied with it, although there are some issues you need to work through. 1) the hip bladder is great and keeps 2 L pretty cool even when running 18-22 miles in 80 degree heat. The compession straps, though, are not really useful-they only compress the bladder a little before you run out of strap. 2) the whistle is a waste and is stuck in the mount (as others have commented).I am going to use the attachment for something else or just cut it off. 3) The fit is pretty good (I am a medium) and the 2 xzippered pouches are great for stuff like keys, phone,ID,gels, salt tablets, etc, but they are a little too far back to get at easily during the run. 4)The compartments at the back are great but not accessible during the run. I can see using them in fall/winter for a shell/maps/whatnot, but right now I am using them for 1-2 0.5 L sports drink bottles (on a 22 mile run in 80 degree weather I go through 2.5-3.0 L of combined fluid) and it is a pain to stop to get the bottles. 5) You need to figure out for yourself the best routing for the drink tube-there are no instructions and there are a couple of ways it can go. The tube is definitely long enough and has a great quick release. I started out by routing it up the right side and around the back of the neck to end on the left strap, but now I route it across the front and up the left side. Either way works. 6) I wish the front mesh pocket on the pec strap had a zip or velcro closure. Seems like a feature they should have provided.

holds just the right amount of water for long runs and very comfortable the way it rests low on hips.

used on several long trail runs where i usually run low on water and had plenty to spare.

i would reccommend to anyone doing 50k trail runs or longer.

Very satisfied with the hydration pack.

This is the second one of these that I have owned. The first one I gave away to a friend in Central America. But I run ultramarathons and do Obstacle racing and mt. biking so my Camelbak is a must! I have worn this one on several races and it has always served me well. At first I was skeptical about the bladder being down by the waist more like a waist pack but it works! I also had to do some swimming with it on my back and it is very bouyant! I highly recommend it.

Want Camelbak Octane LR Hydration Pack Discount?

As my runs get longer and take me further away from my house I've been finding I want to carry a little more than my water belt allows.

The generous storage compartments on the back easily hold my cellphone and extra food with room to spare, the side pockets are easy to get to and are perfect for quick to reach eats. Oddly, though, the clip for your keys are in one of the side pockets where it would be better off moved to one of the main compartments on the back.

Initially, I tried running with the Camelbak I use for moutain biking and found that having the water situated right on my back made the pack swing as I ran putting my off balance and made the straps dig into my shoulders. The Octane LR doesn't suffer from this problem as it hugs close and low on the back and with the water sitting on your hips helps keep the sloshing down as well as help you maintain your center of gravity.

Drinking from it is a simple affair and the flow rate is good and doesn't require much effort. The on-off toggle for the mouthpiece is a nice touch so that you don't have water dripping all over you while running. The complaints about getting the last drops out of the bladder are valid, for the most part you can drink it nearly dry but for those last couple of mouthfuls of moisture might take some work and contortions.

Overall, I'm very happy with the pack and certainly see getting plenty of use out of it on my long runs.

Duluth Pack Large Standard Daypack

Duluth Pack Large Standard Daypack Burgundy - One SizeI bought this book bag for a number of reasons. I wanted a book bag that was made in the US. The only plastic on this book bag are the zippers which everyone has and unavoidable. I am hard on the straps to where they rip off because usually i have too many heavy books. I don't have to worry about the straps no more because of the book bag itself is built so well and sturdy. In fact, I don't see me ever needing to buy another book bag, so it's worth the full price. If you are a college student like me then you'll need the Large Duluth Backpack. I recommend this product to all college and high school students. Would work well for hunting or hiking.

When I bought this I hesitated because of the price, but I wanted a quality pack and wanted to buy something made in the US for a change. Wow, am I happy with it. I use it every day, and sometimes I really load it up. it is super high quality. You don't find many things made this well anymore. Quality products are very satisfying when you become accustomed to "throw away" products. THis thing is made to last.

ALPS OutdoorZ Crossbuck Day Pack

ALPS OutdoorZ Crossbuck Day PackI'd been the proud owner of a Fieldline Waist pack with a shoulder harness for the past three years, but it just wouldn't hold all of my hunting gear! I was tired of having to rotate things in and out for bowhunting versus gun-hunting trips because I always managed to leave something important behind. You'd be surprised at how hard it is to shoot a bow without a release and a gun without bullets! My challenge was that I also needed a bag that would easily pack onto my climbing stands for transporting it all in the woods as quickly and quietly as possible.

I found my solution in the Alps Outdoorz Crossbuck pack. It's a great mid-sized day pack that was perfect for what I needed it for. It provides the size, mobility and organization I need to carry all of my hunting gear with me everytime I go and easily access it from 25 feet up a tree when I need it.

The Crossbuck offers 2080 cubic inches of space, which compares to a The The North Face Jester Backpack if you are unfamiliar with bag sizes. It has one large main compartment and one front accessory pocket in the front which offers dividers for keeping up with smaller items. There's also a smaller pocket in front of it with a magnetic closure that is great for holding things you'll need quickly like a map or a range finder. It also has mesh pockets on each size that are the perfect size for Nalgene bottles or quick-access gear like a saw or knife. I was very pleased with the six compression straps that allowed me to not only snug down my pack so it didn't make any noise on the hike, but also allows me to attach other packs and pouches. I attached my Snugpak Response Pack which I can detach and carry by itself if I need to. I also attached my Gerber 31-001092 Myth Fixed Blade Knife and my Bushnell Range Finder. The zippers all offered oversized pulls that were easy to operate even at freezing temperatures wearing gloves.

The only thing I thought this pack left to be desired was gel padding in the shoulder straps. Don't get me wrong, the padding on the shoulder straps was sufficient for the amount of weight it carried, and I would normally be strapping it to my climber so the straps would be irrelevant anyway. But, after wearing a North Face pack the entire time I was in college loaded with "learning" books, I really missed that comfort the gel straps offered.

The two great things about the pack I loved where the sternum strap and the back pad. The sternum strap is what ensured it wasn't going to slip off my climber during the hike in, and the back pad kept it from making a lot of noise. It also helped with the comfort when I had it weighted down and not packing the climber. When I got to my perfect tree, I would wear the pack as a climbed and then attach my safety harness to the tree. After that I would screw in a gear hook to hang my pack in arm's length. Then I would remove my bow hanger from the pack and screw it in the tree higher than the pack. After that I was ready to pull up my bow and sit and wait for the swamp donkey prepared and in comfort.

So, if you're looking for an inexpensive pack that's tough and allows you to stay organized and prepared, the Alps Outdoorz Crossbuck Pack is the one for you. It is available in Realtree AP and Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity.

It is functional for what I need. I teach so I carry paperwork with me. I wish it had more pockets but it does well at serving its purpose

Zippered Laptop Sleeve Case Black and White fits popular models, 14-inch

Zippered Laptop Sleeve Case Black and White fits popular models, 14-inchfor a really inexpensive case, this works pretty well. the padding material is sort of odd, like dense memory foam or something, but it feels fairly protective. it also fits my 14' laptop (ASUS u43 jc) pretty snugly, but with enough room on top and bottom to also put in the power chord and/or external pocket HDD when i want to

This is a nice looking case that appears to be well constructed. The Zipper opens smoothly & overall has a feel of decent quality, especially considering how inexpensive it is. One really nice thing is that the zipper opens completely on three sides, so it is easy to get the laptop in and out.

Why only 4 stars? I bought it for my Dell Inspiron 1440 & while it does fit, it is a little on the big side. I was hoping for a cover that would have been snug against the laptop this one has about an extra 1/2 inch of space around the whole perimeter. It does the job, but isn't snug.

I bought this for my Toshiba Satellite 14," and it's great. It did smell a little funny at first, as neoprene does, but that wore off quickly. It leaves about a quarter of an inch of extra room, which is just enough to keep my power cord inside if I want to. Usually I just use it to carry my laptop to and from school, and it's the reason why it's still in such amazing condition, even after I take it to school every single day.

Recommend not purchasing this item. Item was cheap. Threading had already come apart when I received. Seems like something you would buy at a flea market. Very poor quality, not durable.

Want Zippered Laptop Sleeve Case Black and White fits popular models, 14-inch Discount?

Well, this thing kinda came with the Toshiba laptop I bought, but still... given the all-around zippering and plain but usable aesthetics, I'm rating this highly. First sleeve I've owned that zippers this effectively and includes the little holders for use of your laptop while still remaining embraced within its secure confines. My Toshiba is 13.3, and fits nicely into this thing, with room for power supply, mouse, etc. I feel like I'm reviewing shoelaces here, but I do indeed like this thing. Buy one now, but not for too much money.

14 inch Brilliant Butterfly Escape White Floral Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for Acer,

14 inch Brilliant Butterfly Escape White Floral Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Sony, ToshibaI love this laptop sleeve! It's really nice and finished on the inside, the fabric is soft and "cushy" and the design is absolutely gorgeous. Worth every penny!!!! I am using this sleeve for my Asus N43jf-a1 14" laptop. It's a tad bit larger than the laptop, which is fine. I looked all over online and in the stores for a nice sleeve, but they averaged at around $25 a pop. And it was difficult to find many options for a 14". Most were for 15.4-15.6, which I didn't want cuz I don't plan on putting the adapter or mouse in there with it. I don't want to scratch the lid :-)Oh and the free shipping with prime is great! $15.50 is a great price, almost a steal!

I purchased this for my brand new Sony Vaio 14inch laptop since I have a habit of placing my laptop anywhere. Since I bought the white coconut color I wanted something to help protect it from normal wear and tear. It fits perfectly and I have no complaints. I didn't really notice that strong of an odor when I received it. It just smelled new like everything that is new does. It's nice and girly looking too!! The price is great considering what they are charging at the Sony website.

The laptop sleeve i requested was supposed to be 14" but when i received it the sleeve said it was 14" but looked like it was 17". My laptop did not fit snug, instead it was moving all around because of the size. Not to mention it is so thin with no padding to protect at all. The return shipping was so expensive and i had no use for it so it was a lose-lose situation.

Very nice and chick sleeve to protect your laptop from scratches. The sleeve has very little padding however, so if you're looking for something with thicker padding, this sleeve is not it. Also, the background white color shown on the picture is much brighter than the actual sleeve itself. It is true to its size. My laptop is 13.5 inches in width, so it fits perfectly well with some space remaining for the mouse and charger. Overall, I like it because it does what I wanted it to do which was to hold my laptop with primary accessories and it protects my laptop from scratches.

I got this for my sister's 14" HP. It does the job of protecting the laptop, but I feel like its too big. I like cases to fit the laptops snug, instead of the laptop dancing around in its case. The case itself is cute but I would say to get the case maybe a size smaller.

Slim Small Shoulder Bag, Fits Most 13-Inch Screens (dp-0521-1)

Slim Small Shoulder Bag, Fits Most 13-Inch ScreensThat's what I was looking for something to carry my iPad plus a folder or thin binder for papers. With eBooks and other wonders of modern technology, that's all I normally need for the classes I teach these days. But dedicated iPad cases are usually too small for a folder or binder (haven't figured out a way to go *totally* paperless), other laptop bags tend to be bigger and bulkier than I want, and simple messenger bags tend to be flimsy and underpadded. I think this bag the "Slim" model, "Small" size nails it. Note the previous reviewer is talking about the "Extra Small" size. I'm sure it probably fits some 11" laptops, if not his/hers in particular. But it is definitely too small for a letter-sized folder or notebook.

Beyond being the perfect size for my needs, the STM Slim/Small also seems very well designed and constructed. The corduroy interior is nice, the exterior pockets useful but unobtrusive. It's almost *too* nice looking, coming off in the "mushroom" color I have as a bit "fem". But that doesn't bother me, and I'm sure black looks "manly" enough :-)

The only thing I'm not crazy about is the strap system. The swivel connectors have a knack for "catching" 180 degrees from where you'd want them, meaning I often have to twist them into position manually when I pick the bag up. And although the canvas strap is nice and wide and the cushioned pad very comfortable, somehow, it doesn't seem to want to stay on my shoulder all that well with or without the pad. I suspect it would be actually better with more weight in it. Anyhow, if anything about the strap eventually gets too much on my nerves, I can easily attach a different strap instead.

Holds 11" Air perfectly. Charger fits nicely into side zipper pocket and my iPad fits nicely into the open pocket on the other side. Great bag for much cheaper then what Incase charges for the same thing.

Buy Slim Small Shoulder Bag, Fits Most 13-Inch Screens (dp-0521-1) Now

It's slim and could easily slide into a large tote bag for school, but is sturdy and protective enough to stand on its own. The interior laptop pocket is extremely soft and couldn't possibly scratch anything. The cell phone pocket is perfect for my iphone 5. Love the front pocket. Holds my mouse, external hard drive and power cord perfectly. There's even a little extra room in the main pocket for a little extra, a notebook for instance. I LOVE IT!

I searched Amazon looking for the right bag for my 11" MacBook Air. There are lots of bags for the iPad (too small) and for 13" laptops (too big). I discovered the STM bags, and checked all the dimensions... looked good in the extra small size... and found one nearly half-price AND with free Super Saver Shipping. Just got the bag today, and it's PERFECT: well-designed, neat, and with just enough room for my MBA and its peripherals, my wallet and a few files. I love it already!

Want Slim Small Shoulder Bag, Fits Most 13-Inch Screens (dp-0521-1) Discount?

I really like this bag from STM. For me it's the right balance between carrying accessories and staying slim. It's clearly a perfect fit for the Macbook Air 11", which you'll know has unusual dimensions if you've tried standard bags or sleeves.

The entire package feels very high quality, and there is enough padding to feel your Air is safe from minor bumps. Both the inside and outside materials look and feel very classy. It is nice and small; some of the photos you'll see advertised with this size are actually the larger versions.

A few small drawbacks:

At the top corners of the laptop compartment even with the main zippers entirely open, the zippers seem to directly touch the Air (see photo). While I haven't noticed any scratches, I do pull the Air out carefully and wish there was something soft in between.

The shoulder strap comes with a thick pad on it, presumably for comfort. Fortunately this is very easily removable by velcro, because I think it is unnecessary and uncomfortable. The pad is very thick and stiff; I found that with the bag fully loaded (at only a few pounds) it simply doesn't weigh enough to even make the pad curve over your shoulder. Instead, it rests awkwardly straight on your shoulder.

The small handles are convenient, but not perfect. They each have a stiff rod sewn into them, which is comfortable while carrying by hand, but when the bag is resting on my back while using the shoulder pad, the rod can rest uncomfortably between me and the bag. I've considered cutting a small slit in the handle to remove at least the rear handle rod, or removing the rear handle entirely, as this bag is never very heavy.

These issues are minor, and I think this bag would really serve most people well.

Dakine Factor Pack

Dakine Factor Pack, BlackI did a lot of research and bought this backpack on the advice of a friend. I was skeptical about the usefulness of the outer pockets that aren't secured with zippers because I live in a major city but I've found the front pocket is deep and snug enough that it's useful to slip in my work ID and/or keys without worrying about them falling out or someone reaching in. And the mesh side pockets are deep enough to hold my water bottle.

The upper lined compartment is really convenient for sunglasses, and I can slip my laptop and even my iPad into the padded lined inner compartment. The best thing is the slim profile of the pack that makes it a bit more stylish than most backpacks and doesn't give that unattractive "turtle" look.

I usually bike to work, sometimes walk, and on rare occasions take the bus and this backpack is great for all ways of commuting. I love it!

P.S. This backpack is in their men's line but I think it's stylish enough for a woman (like me).

I purchased this backpack for my second grader and it is just perfect for him. It fits his 1 in binder and two folders nicely with room for his sweatshirt. This is not a huge backpack, I would say that it is on the smaller side. If he was in high school or college it would not work. They have the same print but bigger bag available on amazon, buy that one if you need a bigger backpack. Lots of little pockets and organization. The straps are ergonomically designed and very comfy on his shoulders when he has a heavy load. He loves it and it serves its purpose so I am happy. Saw it in a store for $20 more than what it was being sold for on amazon and we got free shipping so could be happier!!

Reviewers seem to really love this backpack, and I can see why. It looks great, is a great size (for my small frame and needs, anyway), has nice compartments, and is one of the most comfortable on-the-back packs I've ever owned.

What people haven't pointed out, from what I can tell, are the negatives. And there are a few negatives:

1) the zipper is cheap and not covered by a flap, so I imagine it would leak in wet weather and will eventually break;

2) the bottom is not reinforced by rubber or anything so when you try to load the pack on a tile or other slippery floor it slides out from under you and you may have to repeatedly pick it up (conversely, if you load/unload it on dirt or concrete I think it could leak or the fabric might eventually wear through); and

3) the handle is integrated into the backpack straps, so it's hard to grab in a hurry (that's not such a big deal, but it can be annoying when in a hurry).

In short, I love the backpack look, size, and feel, and would buy it again. However, I had higher hopes for the Dakine brand, thinking the pack would last forever and be able to double as a day-pack for hikes or rainy weather. Now that I have it, I don't think it's suited for more than a light commuter backpack.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves it! It has lots of space for notebooks and his MacBook without putting a lot of pressure on his shoulders. I was worried about it looking too juvenile for college, but he has already received tons of compliments on it (many asking where he got it). Thanks for a great product, Dakine!

Dakine Interval Wet/Dry Pack

Dakine Interval Wet/Dry Pack, TimberThe item has some great useful features especially for those who surf however I was disappointed to the wet/dry section the material lining was not stitch into the seam. We may be returning product back for replacement

Actually, this backpack is really nice. As far as I can say (without ever having used it), the material is nice and it looks like it will survive over time (like I said, I never used it, so I can't say, if in reality, that is true).

Besides the look and the material, I liked both, the backpack is really tall. So not really made for short people. Also it is rather thin, so if I really want to use the complete room, I would have to stack the stuff on top of each other...which would annoy me, since I would have to dig for the stuff I put in first. Additional to that already thin backpack, all "outside" pockets actually take the room inside the backpack. So if you put something in the cooler pocket, you already used space of the main department. Same goes for the department on the back of the backpack. I find that really unhandy since it already has not that much space, unless you like stacking.

So overall, it looks like it could be a nice backpack, but since I am rather short and not a fan of stacking stuff in my backpack, it was not for me.

Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Shoulder Bag Laptop Case Backpack Brown

Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Shoulder Bag Laptop Case Backpack BrownI'm an Engineering undergraduate student, and this bag is great for me. It's the perfect size to fit a medium-sized laptop, along with a few textbooks or notebooks. The strap is comfortable and the whole thing is lined, which is very nice. The bag shipped quickly and was in good shape when it arrived. The only thing that I could complain about is that the smaller pockets aren't zippered, but that's not much of an inconvenience. Overall, I'd highly recommend it for students.

I was leery of this bag when I ordered it, to be honest. Amazon has only 3 stock images of the bag and none showing whats under the flap. However, the reviews seemed pretty positive, so I went for it.

After several weeks of use, I dig it! The canvas stitching is pretty rugged and the strap is anchored well. This bag looks like it was stitched together to hold a hefty load. The strap is wide enough and the bag is a good size that is rests well along the hip or lower without the annoying off center feeling you can experience with some messenger bags.

Under the flap are two basic pockets. They are pretty deep and can accommodate quite a few pens/pencils/dice/cards/whatever you wish to toss in there. There are two side pockets, one open and one zip. Good use of space, but the pockets are pretty tight, so don't expect to jam much more than, say, an tablet/cell charger in the side. The zipper pocket seems good to just carry some loose change or paper bills. Inside the flap, the main pocket has a zipper which is a nice touch. You have your main pouch which seems much bigger than the bag does. The laptop pouch of the pocket can hold a pretty hefty sized laptop. If you carry a tablet in the laptop pocket, you will have quite a bit of extra space for it to rock around since the Velcro strap is a good 3-4 inches long. However, it is padded if only a bit.

The only major gripe with the bag is the clips that hold the flap down to the main bag. They a pretty stiff and it can make it hard to get hooked onto the grommets. I hope after using the bag the clips will ease up a bit.

Definitely a good looking and well functioning messenger bag over all.

Buy Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Shoulder Bag Laptop Case Backpack Brown Now

Thanks to financial aid from my college, I was able to get a new laptop. Spending $500 on a nice system for a Computer Science student, I decided spending a bit on a nice padded messenger bag to replace my old, dated bag would be a wise investment. So I looked around for padded laptop bags, and came across this one. The reviews on it were quite mixed, but in my experiences, it's quite a nice bag.

It's large enough to hold my 15 inch laptop, a binder, and a textbook. I'm sure it'll fit a 16 inch laptop too, but 17 inches MAY be pushing it. The main compartment has a somewhat cheapy zipper that works alright. There's also two little pockets that you can use to store a graphing calculator, power brick, wireless mouse, microfiber cloth, whatever you really need that isn't too big.

The water bottle holder holds a standard 16.9 fl oz bottle just fine, but I'm always afraid that the bottle might fall out. It's not in there well enough it seems. Oh well though, I hardly bring water with me anyway. If you have a pretty big water bottle, take heed that it may not fit in the little compartment.

The biggest problem I have with the bag is the clasps. They're stiff, and they take a bit of effort to close. The bag doesn't really NEED to close them, but I feel it's required to complete the look. They go in fine, but it just takes a bit of needless effort.

EDIT 1 October 22nd, 2012 -After one day (read that again -ONE DAY) of normal usage the zipper came off. The zipper head puller thing came loose when I was zipping my items away. I wasn't too happy. I managed to get the zipper working again, and I'm going to have to apply a little DIY magic to add another zipper stopper. I ended up paying $40 for the bag, so I'm not too happy that I have to, but oh well. Please do note the poor quality of the zipper if you decide to purchase the bag, and be careful on it. But if the zipper puller comes off it can be reattached. It took maybe ten minutes.

EDIT 2 January 18th, 2013 -I'm surprised the bag is still together. The stitching done on the bag is abysmal. The stitching on the bottom of the bag started to come loose. One of the pockets began to lose the stitching inside of it. I used a glue gun to fix the bottom issue, but the pocket remains a problem.

Do not buy this bag if you are someone who wants their stuff to last.

This bag looks exactly like what is pictured. Perfect messenger bag size, very durable canvas, roomy interior with a padded smaller section for iPad/netbook, etc... The clasps in the front are a bit stiff, tough to open/close, but maybe with use they will become easier. Would've liked a back pocket to be able to stash something quickly without opening the cumbersome front. Seems like it will hold up well, especially since it is supposed to have that distressed look and feel. Overall nice bag.

DURAGADGET Pink Ultra Protective Water Resistant Laptop Carry Case / Cover For MSI CX620MX 15.6", M

DURAGADGET Pink Ultra Protective Water Resistant Laptop Carry Case / Cover For MSI CX620MX 15.6', MSI CX500DX 15.6', MSI CX623 15.6', MSI P600 15.6', Apple MacBook Pro, Maingear EX-L 15 & Samsung Series 9 NP900X4B-A02I would describe the quality of this notebook sleeve as just okay. On the plus side, I like the color and the outer appearance is quite nice. It's a subtle shade of pink. It zips well and it looks like the zipper will hold up. The case also fits my 15.6 inch Samsung R580 snugly without any room for it to slide around. As other reviewers have noted on Amazon, measure your laptop. Most laptops are not the size they are advertised to be. My 15.6 inch laptop is actually 15.1 inches. As for the negatives, a better case would have a bit more padding. While this sleeve will protect a notebook from water and general wear and tear, nicks and dings etc., I don't think it will protect the laptop from breakage if dropped. It would be nice if it had a strap or even something to attach a strap to. Strangely, it's also sort of a noisy bag. I couldn't quite figure out what the problem was initially but it seems to be something about how the bottom of the bag and the seams are constructed. The bag had a bit of a chemical odor but mild enough that it faded within a few days of airing out. I am guessing it was perhaps related to the waterproof material.

The color of this laptop sleeve is as pictured, maybe a little lighter, but perfect in my opinion. My 14" laptop fits well, I purchased the sleeve for the 15.6" due to the fact that my HP is thicker than most laptops. On the down side, there is literally NO padding in the sleeve, it is simply neoprene-like material, with a zipper. At the very least I was expecting a rectangle peice of foam inside, to retain shape during shipping, but I was dissapointed to find none at all. The sleeve will work for me, being that my father is like MacGuyver and put some foam padding in it for me, as well as the fact that it's slim shape will fit well in my backpack (as was my intention). In conclusion, it's a very prtty color pink, but I'm not sure how it is "Ultra Protection" or how it will "release external shock", as stated in the Technical Details. Not willing to try out it's "water resistant" capabilities. Shipping was FAST, I ordered it on 01/23 and it arrived on 01/25... though I did use my free 2-Day Shipping as an Amazon Prime member.

I wish it had a handle but it's a very good and durable cover for my laptop. I actually carry it inside a 2nd, less high quality neoprene case that has a handle and my laptop is very secure.

This is a nice case, but it is way too big for a 15.6 computer. It is better for a 17" computer. I decided to keep it just because I didn't want to pay for the return shipping. Pretty disappointed.

JanSport Big Student Classics Series Daypack

My granddaughter loved this backpack that I gave her for Christmas. It hold's everything, books, phone and room for her laptop. I also liked that it had separate compartments, especially the one on the front. It is very well made, both inside and out. The design, with the suede on the bottom and other parts, along with the floral design is very appealing to young ladies in college and for other occasions. I highly recommend this product as it's different than most. It also comes in different designs and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quality backpack.

I bought this for my daughter for Kindergarten. It is a very pretty backpack that I'm sure she will enjoy for many years. Being a Jansport and with the Jansport guarantee I am hoping that it will take her all the way through college, if we can afford it with all the new Obama taxes comming our way. Vote Obama out before he completely destroys the American economy and way of life.

Tommy Bahama Luggage Retreat 19 Inch Wheeled Duffle Bag

Tommy Bahama Luggage Retreat 19 Inch Wheeled Duffle Bag, Olive/Dark Brown, One SizeVery happy with the quality and style of this bag. It has a very upscale look for a low price.

It doesn't look very sturdy, kind od cheesy.

I wish I hadn't bought it, but I can only blame myself. I should have known it would look cheap, but Tommy Bahama clothes are well made, so maybe I expected too much.

High Sierra Fat Boy Backpack

High Sierra Fat Boy BackpackAs a law student, I needed a back pack with the capacity to hold thick large books, notebooks, etc. It is hard to find a backpack with that capacity. I can also put my laptop in this bag. Sometimes it does get a little overstuffed and hard to zip but overrall I don't think there is another bag that can beat it.

I bought this for my son because he complained about to many books and not enought room last yr. Well this one sure fixed him up nicely. It is not to bulky or to wide but seems to fit him just right. He is 14 and he is about 5'2. It is not as waterproof as I'd like for it to be tho. He got into a downpour and some of his things got wet so that would be the only drawback with this pack.I asked him just now if there was anything he did not like about his pack and he said no he loved it. So there you have, hope it helps lol

We ordered this for my wife as a replacement for a beloved backpack she has been using for years and which finally bit the dust when the zipper broke. At first we tried to find an exact replacement, but that proved impossible as that model hasn't been manufactured for years now. Based on the description, pictures, and reviews here, we ordered this Fat-Boy as well as the Teton Bookbag Backpack.

Be aware that apart from a few minor design differences (colors, zippers, stitching, etc.), these two bags are virtually identical, obviously made in the same factory in China. After examining both, we went with the Fat-Boy, chiefly because of color and what we interpreted as slightly heavier duty hardware. Honestly, I think that we would also have been quite happy with the Teton.

I am pleased to report that my wife is extremely satisfied with the Fat-Boy. She is a grad student and uses it to haul around books, notebooks, lunches, and the miscellaneous small stuff routinely going back and forth from home to school. (The laptop has a dedicated carrying bag.) The Fat-Boy is heavy-duty and well designed with lots of functional compartments and features, including the dedicated cell phone pouch on the front of a shoulder strap, which she loves. In short, this backpack is so good that it is easily eclipsing the memory of her old one. Highly recommended.

I purchased this backpack for my son after looking for a backpack in retail stores in the area and being shocked at what they were asking! My son is 9, and can be a little rough on backpacks. I also like for them to be tough enough to last more than one year! Sothis one looks goodit isn't cheap plastic/vinyl material, has plenty of pockets, and looks well built. Great color selections, he was able to chose one he really likes, now we just have to see if it can withstand months of torture! Ohand this backpack was $25.97 when I purchased it, and the tag on it says: "suggested retail: $60". It's good quality.

OKso here we are about 2 years later. My son has used and abused the heck out of this backpack. School, camping, car trips, etc, etc, etc... And he finally managed to do something to ithe tore one of the side straps that control how far it expands openwhich actually doesn't affect the bag too much. So he can still use it, there are no holes in the bag itself, zippers all still work perfectly. So this was an awesome bargain. If you aren't sure, BUY IT! It is sooo worth the money! I will be buying another one to replace this one! Very satisfied!

It is a very good bag if you have to carry bulky things which are not very long as the bag becomes bulky on the front but is kind of on the smaller side. Otherwise, I think the color scheme is nicenot too bright but not dull and there are ample pockets to keep things organized. All in allgood for its price.

Disney Cars Boys Large Black School Backpack

Disney Cars Boys Large Black School BackpackMy 4 year old son loves it and it looks good. Good size too...Snotrod is the character in the front (which he likes) but it is not one of the main characters....

This backpack is ok for a k-2. Any grade higher may not hold up. my sons zipper broke on his backpack just before the end of the school year.

MyGift 13 inch Purple Sparse Floral Laptop Notebook Sleeve Slip Case Bag for most of MacBook Acer A

MyGift 13 inch Purple Sparse Floral Laptop Notebook Sleeve Slip Case Bag for most of MacBook Acer Asus Dell HP Lenovo SonyI was hesitant about ordering this due to someone else's review about the zippers scratching their notebook. But after searching for a few days, I decided on this one anyway. I've only had it for a couple of days now, but I think it's great. My Macbook Pro 13" fits inside nicely. As long as I'm not throwing it in there, I can't imagine the sleeve doing any harm to my notebook. Hopefully my first impressions will hold up for the long run!

*I would like to mention that it did arrive with a few black dirt marks on it. They aren't too noticeable as they somewhat blend in with the darker branch part of the scene and they aren't in the white part. They definitely aren't enough to make me return it, but they are noticeable and somewhat annoying (my reason for the four stars vs five)!

This sleeve arrived very fast in the mail, and was packaged correctly. It fits my macbook pro 13' perfectly. If your looking for a cute and simple sleeve this is the one for you. If your looking for a sleeve that is cute and might protect your laptop from damage this is not the one for you. Its thinner than I expected and although it will protect my laptop from scratches it would never protect it from anything else ( falls, bumps, ext.) What you see here is what you get, nothing more, nothing less!

it looks exactly like the picture, and my macbook fits perfectly inside! it also arrived fast so that made me happy. but it's kind of thin so i'm worried that it might not protect my macbook so well if it falls (hopefully never!), but thats why i bought a case for my mac so it doesn't matter. it's super great! and it's pretty soft and it has a great design.

I have a plastic hard cover case on my mac and this case is still a perfect fit. However it does get dirty quite fast. I loved it so much I bought it again because I accidentally ruined the zipper of the first one.

Fits my computer perfectly. Plus I can get a few extra papers in there. It's pretty sturdy. I think I would like a little more cushion for protection.

Mountainsmith Ether 20 Pack

Mountainsmith Ether 20 Mountainlight Backpackit's practical to have a bag that can protect itself when it rains. i think the shape of this bag looks pretty much like a purse that I'd use for daily lives anyway (with or without the belt). i like that i can trust putting my valuables in this bag.

I am thoroughly pleased with this bag. It is light weight, comfortable and has so many convenient pockets. I would definitely recommend buying strapettes to accompany it, especially if you are a woman. The across-the-shoulder strap can be uncomfortable, and get in the way. The side straps are very comfortable, and work well on my hips. My one issue: the stitching inside the first pocket (with cell phone and key holders, etc.), started unraveling very quickly after I purchased and used the product. Otherwise, I have complete satisfaction--it is fast, convenient, stylish, and has a fabulous waterproofing system.
