Olive Kids Trains, Planes, and Trucks Backpack- Free Name Tag!

I first saw the Olive Kids backpacks for sale in a consignment store. I went on their website & saw the dozens of adorable fabrics & decided it was exactly what I'd been looking for...but of course I went to Amazon to actually order it! My son is 2 years old & I was still carrying around the diaper bag for lack of anything better. I didn't want a full-sized backpack that he wouldn't be able to carry, but I didn't want one of those ridiculously small toddler backpacks either, because they don't hold anything. I like to be prepared & carry around the necessities as well as a Tide To Go stick, a pen, a few small toys, a hair clip for me, my wallet, etc. This bag is perfect. It holds everything I need (and even a few I might not!) for a day out but still looks like a little kid sized bag. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish it had a small outside pocket (maybe on the side) where I could throw my keys & cell phone, rather than having to dig through one of the two larger inside compartments to find them. All-in-all, great bag!

Vera Bradley Rolling Backpack

I bought this backpack to use as a carry-on when I checked luggage. I like the size, weight and pocket configuration. However, the cover to the main compartment does not unzip completely. This means that the cover does not stay open and packing the main compartment is difficult.

The materials are good (the interior is very soft and the exterior is neoprene). The size is great for a 17' laptop (it even has a little more space).

I needed something to protect my laptop when travelling, or just when not in use. It is exactly what I wanted. My computer is 17.3 and this sleeve is a perfect fit, not to big, and not too little.

I got this bag as a gift when I was pregnant. I was excited about having a stylish diaper bag that could double as my purse. When I got it I noticed it was HUGE. Wow, this is a really big bag so if you have a small frame keep that in mind.

The bag is awesome, the amount of room it has and the organization in it is wonderful. It fits everything so well! And you can't tell by the picture but the way the zipper part is done you can load the bag up to the rim and not have an issue zipping it. I can't describe it but the top part gets raised up when it's full and the zipper never gets in the way. Genius design.

It comes with a small purse which I love. I carry my wallet and car keys etc in that and if I drop baby off at grandma's I leave the main bag and just take the little purse with my stuff in it. Again, genius design.

I love it a lot BUT THERES A HUGE BUT ... the bag is not nearly as sturdy as it needs to be for this purpose. Right when I got it one handle started falling apart. Now after 3 months use the inside buckle has ripped and the thermal bottle holder has fallen apart and ripped. I'm so sad about this. I wish it was made a bit sturdier. They thought of everything for the bag why didn't they think that lugging this big bag around requires something that can handle a little more wear-and-tear? I use it very gently but sad to say it's probably not going to last as long as I thought.

Would give it 3.5 stars.

This bag looks amazing. No one knew it was a diaper bag. The inside is roomy and the pockets are great. However, the quality is terrible. After only a handful of uses (and I didn't overload it--I don't even carry bottles, just diapers, wipes, and money) the stitching on the outside was coming undone and the pockets inside were ripping out. The handles are almost off. I am returning it to Amazon as Timi and Leslie were not at all helpful in solving the problem. I asked them for a replacement and they said I could only deal with Amazon. Not even an apology. Wish it was of better quality because it is awfully cute.

I wanted to use the bag for a few months before writing a review. I agonized over ordering this expensive bag, but my husband convinced me into ordering saying that I would be using this exclusively for at least 2 years. So after many weeks of drooling over the pics and doubting about the quality after reading the reviews I took the plunge and ordered it in mustard when my baby was 8 weeks old. He is 5 months now and I use this every day and love it. The bag is huge and fits a lot of stuff and it looks expensive and stylish. For some it might look more like a small travel bag than a handbag. I'm 5'6" and a size 10 now. I usually wear it on one side by the 2 handles and it reaches above my hips and for my size it is perfect. I usually carry changing pad, 10 diapers, a box of wet wipes, 2 onsies, 1 small blanket, 2-3 burp cloth and 1-2 bottles of milk and still there is space for more stuff. The small matching purse is very useful for credit cards and cash and stuff. I love the keychain holder inside the bag. It is near to the zip so I need to open the bag only slightly to access it. The front zipper pocket is not too small for a smartphone. I have used both blackberry and iPhone. I have not used the stroller straps so cannot comment on it. The bottle pouch was good and I used to hang it over the stroller handle. But I spilled some milk (expressed milk) in it 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to get rid of the smell yet. So not using that right now. We'll be taking an international trip in 2 months (23 hr flight) so will update the review after that. Thanks

UPDATE:I've been using this bag for around 7 months now and I still love it. We recently took an international trip (32 hrs one way. (flight + layover)). I had jam packed my bag with all usual supplies + 12 bottles, 2 manual breast pumps, more onsies, diapers, 5 jars of gerber baby food and a few small soft toys. (I overpack in case we miss a connection flight in between). It was quite heavy but the stroller straps was a huge help. I was worried that they might break off due to the heavy weight of the bag but they held well.

CONS: It was heavy and was a bit difficult to find stuff from inside when it is so heavily packed (That might be the case with any bag i guess). After the rough use I have found a small spot on the bottom part of the body where the skin is torn off.

Case Logic LAPSM-115 15-Inch MacBook Pro Sleeve (Black)

This product is definitely one of the bests I could get with this price and it does not look cheap at all!

It fits my 17" MacBook Pro great. Provides good padding and keeps the laptop free from dings and scratches. It's too thin for my Dell Precision M6600 which is also a 17" laptop but much thicker.

On the packaging for this case it says that the MAX dimensions of a laptop that will fit inside are: 14.3" x 0.9" x 9.8" and the dimensions of a 15" MacBook Pro (Purchased new from apple in 2011) are 14.35" x 0.95" x 9.82" ... so it's as simple as that: this case is just not made to fit a 15" MBP. I don't know how you make a case that's specifically designed to fit something that's bigger than the maximum possible space available in that case...

Now a few hundredths of an inch may not seem like a lot, and I didn't think it would be a big deal; I figured a snug fit would be good right? Well this is a little TOO snug as the laptop is not protected at all from the zipper, especially at the corners, where it is really tight and the zipper actually rubs up against the laptop every time you zip and unzip it.

Aside from that... the inside of the case is made from the same material as the outside. The neoprene isn't really the softest material in the world and I feel like the soft plush interior of some of the other cases would better protect the MacBook.

The price attracted me to this case as some of the others are twice as much, but I guess I see why it was half the price now...

So in conclusion, spend the extra cash on a case that is designed to fit your MBP. I will be returning this case for a refund and purchasing a more expensive one that will hopefully fit.

Swiss Gear SA1391 Black/Red Backpack

I've had this bag for a while now and it has worked out great for me! It's sturdy, well made, and puts up well with all the abuse I put it through. It holds my laptop, my books, and any other supplies I may need, while still remaining comfy to wear and walk around with. I enjoy the hanging pocket inside to hold my mp3 player.

All the different compartments are very handy, too. I also like the zipper pulls. They're a good size without being too clunky, but also allow for a lock on the bag in case you feel the need. All in all a nice bookbag.

Edit: don't walk in the rain with this thing on . You'd think that for a bag advertised for electronics, they'd think of some sort of water resistant coating but that is not so at all. I had to make a short walk (under 2 minutes) on a semi-raining day, it was more than drizzling but not all out raining cats and dogs, and this thing held more water than the cotton hoodie I was wearing. Gladly, nothing inside got wet on the walk over, but you could wring the bookbag out later.

I stand by my first review that this is a well built bag with a good design to it, but a liiiitle more thought could've gone into it.

just the right amount of pockets and just the right size for a school bag. plenty of space in the biggest one for textbooks and lots of mini compartments in the smaller one for pencils, calculator, etc. easy to stay organized. side pockets are perfect for an umbrella and a water bottle or the interior fits a camel back. the handle up top is convenient when you don't want to use the shoulder straps. zippers are wide enough to hold a small d-ring and are very smooth to open and close. have had swiss army luggage and loved the durability. so far, a month in, this back pack is holding up as well.

I purchased this backpack for roughly $80 on Amazon.com and have been using it for 2 years. Within a month, the seam between the two large compartments ripped. I don't believe I'm that hard on my backpack my previous one lasted 6 years and was only replaced because it was too small (and only cost $20). I use it to carry my books and laptop and it's very sturdy otherwise. I've frequently walked through pouring rain for 15 minutes and there wasn't a single drop on my books by the time I got to class.

Story Reader Backpack

This backpack was designed for the Story Reader unit. I was mistaken in ordering it for the Story Reader Video +. We had to modify the pockets for the cassettes by clipping the threads. It worked out ok but it is important to know there is a difference. Other than that, the backpack was very well made and sturdy.

I was searching for a BPA-free, Phthalate-free, PVC-free backpack for my daughter for kindergarten, and was thrilled to find these backpacks!

My five-year-old daughter saw the pink mouse Skip Hop in my Amazon search results, and immediately fell in love with it. I saw the dimensions, and thought it would be best to go with something this size, since she's a small child (36 lbs).

While I do not regret buying this backpack (she LOVES it), I suspect her teacher isn't wild about it shape. ;) Like other reviewers, we have a plastic folder that comes home every day in the backpack, but the only way for it to fit is to fold it (which we don't do. It has artwork inside) or bend the corners (doesn't affect the artwork too badly most days).

If Skip Hop would make these backpacks with more squared-off edges on top, the folders would fit fine! But because the packs are rounded and narrower at the top, there is some necessary bending involved. It's also tough to get the folder in if there's anything else already in there (mini umbrella, raincoat, sweater, whatever). You have to remove everything in the large part, put the folder in, fold the top edges, then add any other stuff in front of the folder. Not easy for my five-year-old to do. Probably not fun for her teacher, either.

But what I love about it (aside from how cute it is): That front pocket! It is a lot roomier than the picture would appear. Right now she's got a full plastic travel wipe container, pack of tissues, and a mini umbrella (no raincoat though, but it would fit rolled up, by itself. Maybe with a mini umbrella, if the jacket were thin).

A minor annoyance: the side mesh pocket for water bottles. It is so shallow that a decent-sized travel bottle will not stay in. We use Contigo Autoseal Kids Cups. They are too tall to fit in this side pocket. The elastic cord does not have a clip on it to tighten (you're supposed to tie it but ours doesn't stay tied well). I had to go buy a clip for it.

You might find it holds a shorter cup, or something else entirely, but ours remains unused. (The water bottle goes in her lunch bag.)

Bottom line: I agree with other reviewers who recommend this for a toddler/preschooler, but not a kindergartener. Or, for a kindergartener to use as an overnight bag.

EDIT: I ended up ordering a junior backpack from a certain well-known retailer in Maine, and am very glad I did. It's far roomier and no more squished folders. My kindergartener was sad to relegate the Mouse backpack to non-school use, but it still works great for holding her things for a short trip.

This is perfect for my 2yr old daughter! It has been really hard to find a backpack that is her size, and this one is just right. We bought this for her to take on a trip to Mexico and is a perfect carry-on for her. I got this as a 2nd birthday gift for my petite daughter. It's perfect. She loads this up with all of her little dolls and critters and it's not to heavy or cumbersome for her to carry around. She feels just like a big girl toting this backpack. The strap design is contoured so it's easy for her to get on, but not so big that I fear she will get it around her neck. What a great design! I would describe the quality of this notebook sleeve as just okay. On the plus side, I like the color and the outer appearance is quite nice. It's a subtle shade of pink. It zips well and it looks like the zipper will hold up. The case also fits my 15.6 inch Samsung R580 snugly without any room for it to slide around. As other reviewers have noted on Amazon, measure your laptop. Most laptops are not the size they are advertised to be. My 15.6 inch laptop is actually 15.1 inches. As for the negatives, a better case would have a bit more padding. While this sleeve will protect a notebook from water and general wear and tear, nicks and dings etc., I don't think it will protect the laptop from breakage if dropped. It would be nice if it had a strap or even something to attach a strap to. Strangely, it's also sort of a noisy bag. I couldn't quite figure out what the problem was initially but it seems to be something about how the bottom of the bag and the seams are constructed. The bag had a bit of a chemical odor but mild enough that it faded within a few days of airing out. I am guessing it was perhaps related to the waterproof material.

The color of this laptop sleeve is as pictured, maybe a little lighter, but perfect in my opinion. My 14" laptop fits well, I purchased the sleeve for the 15.6" due to the fact that my HP is thicker than most laptops. On the down side, there is literally NO padding in the sleeve, it is simply neoprene-like material, with a zipper. At the very least I was expecting a rectangle peice of foam inside, to retain shape during shipping, but I was dissapointed to find none at all. The sleeve will work for me, being that my father is like MacGuyver and put some foam padding in it for me, as well as the fact that it's slim shape will fit well in my backpack (as was my intention). In conclusion, it's a very prtty color pink, but I'm not sure how it is "Ultra Protection" or how it will "release external shock", as stated in the Technical Details. Not willing to try out it's "water resistant" capabilities. Shipping was FAST, I ordered it on 01/23 and it arrived on 01/25... though I did use my free 2-Day Shipping as an Amazon Prime member.

This is the first backpack I have owned that completely fits my lifestyle. It can easily hold my Chromebook, two textbooks, and my school supplies without being bulky. I usually only give 4 star reviews but the attention to detail and construction of this backpack make it deserving of all 5.

High Sierra Loop Backpack

Don't let the size fool you! The multiple compartments that give you plenty of room. It's easy to put on/take off especially since I ride the Metro so I'm not breaking my back trying to get it off.

It has adjustable straps so you can pretty much tailor it to your frame to make it as comfortable as possible.

The back pack also holds up well in rain; amazingly well!

I love the color too; it goes with pretty much everything :)

My only concern is that the zippers are super accessible and that can be an issue especially in packed areas such as the Metro. I typically remove it and can hold it from the upper handle ...sort of like a brief case until I'm out of "sticky fingers" way :)

All in all, GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!! I LOVE IT!

We liked this one the most because it was a small frame, good for a smaller person,like a woman or young adult and it had a lot of storage for the size. Six months after I bought the High Sierra Loop Backpack, one of the shoulder straps started ripping apart at the seam, and the zipper to the front pocket had broken off (the backpack was gently used). I think the high ratings for this backpack may be due to early user experiences. This backpack (my copy of it at least) isn't very durable.

I've had JanSport backpacks that have held up to *years* of heavy use. If you're looking for something more durable, you might want to spend a little more to get a JanSport or a North Face backpack (both of which are renowned for their quality and durability).

You may, however, opt to buy this backpack anyway since this backpack has received mostly positive reviews and my experience may be an isolated instance. Here are the specifications to help you decide whether this backpack is right for you:

Well, I wanted one of these sacks with a zippered pocket to make some things easier to get to instead of digging to the bottom of the bag. It does just that. So since the price was so cheap, it was a deal. It only got 4 stars because the material is super thin, thinner than any of these type of sacks usual are and I've had many. But it does the job.

I needed a new bag with the four wheels that you can push easily. Bingo, it has worked perfectly for several trips. The color is just as pictured a vivid light turquoise blue, even my 10 and 5 year old grand daughters took notice. It is not very big, however it works nicely for enough clothes for three days. The two outside compartments are handy. It has some waterproof pockets inside. Most of all it pushes easily! That's why most of of have made the switch. I have a bad back and travel frequently so this little overhead size works perfectly.

This backpack is HUGE, which would lead you to believe that it has a lot of room right? WRONG!!!

The padding and tight compartments detract from how much you can actually fit in the bag, it is meant to hold electronic items, so students beware. Not only does the padding limit the space that you have to fit books in but it WILL also place all the weight deep into your shoulder blades. I can't stress this enough, the padding on this bag is inefficient and detracts from the purpose of making it comfortable. It is a bulky waste of money if you plan to store anything other than electronics in this.

this backpack is light and with good amounts of components inside the backpack. I am glade I brought this bag.

I wanted a bag that would fit my Toshiba 17 (Satellite P775-S7368) without being bulky or overlarge. Price was not an object, but all the more expensive bags I found were just too big for everyday schlepping around. This bag was a good value (you might benefit from looking around there are better deals out there) and fit perfectly not more than an inch or so to spare and no wasted space. A couple of little things could have been better: No pull strings for zippers not a serious flaw, but these really help; interior pockets could be better, for example, it has a pocket for CD's (really) but not for eye-glasses; key fob requires you put your keys on the integrated ring, rather than snap on you own. Like I said, little stuff, but not enough to detract from a good bag at a more than fair price. For me its five stars.

Kidorable Umbrella

Although the umbrella was very cute, the second time it was opened, the seam ripped. I stitched it up as best I could for my granddaughter rather than return it and pay shipping charges.

My daughter got this set for Easter last year and just adores it, esp. the umbrella which she uses any possible time she can. I wouldn't say it's cheaply made but it's just not as well made as the raincoat. The little "button" on top to finish popped off within a month and can't really be glued back on. It doesn't affect the umbrella's use but it's just one of those annoying things.

My daughter used this umbrella 4 or 5 times before one of the metal struts detached from the umbrella ribs, making it unusable. And these were gentle uses!

I contacted the company, as I'd gotten it directly from Kidorable. They told me they'd be happy to replace it, if I mailed it back to them at my own expense. Cost of shipping tube, plus cost of first-class postage, was over $8, for a $14 umbrella.

My mother bought the boots, raincoat, and umbrella for my daughter when she was 4 and everything has held up quite well. She is 7 now the boots are still in prefect condition as well as the coat. However, the umbrella broke about 2 years after we bought it. It wasn't due to the quality at all one of her friends stepped on it and snapped it. My daughter used this set for the first 2 years every chance she got even when it was barely raining and all of it held up very well! Stephen Joseph Girls 7-16 Simply Stephen Joseph 14 Inch Backpack

I read the online measurements and thought I had a good handle on this backpack's size, but it is smaller than what I'd expected. It's for my kindergartener and it replaces a slightly larger character backpack.

Apart from that, it feels really well made and the fabric seems to have some water resistant lining to ease water bottle spills and such. I hope her things fit inside so that she can actually use it.

I love the backpack and so does my 4yr old daughter, who will be attending pre-k. I went with the purple and pink. Might purchase a second one, since the green and pink was my first choice. The handle, back and straps have some padding.

I just got this in the mail, and I am very excited about this backpack.

While this backpack looks simple (which is great), it really is a feature-packed backpack.

There are pockets galore of every size you could imagine.

The padding for the laptop is out of this world. Thick on both sides, while having a soft, felt liner. Great!

A removable bag that fits my power cable, mouse, flash drive and all my computer accessories, but that slides into a the bottom of the bag form-fittingly. That's really handy. (see video)

This small bag can fit a lot of stuff and remain thin. It's incredible.

The only thing I wish I could do with this bag is have a sleeve for a water bottle, but that's a small thing that most don't even use.

Also, this bag IS made for 15.4" notebooks. I have a 10" netbook. The length of my computer (side-side) happens to be the same width as the sleeve, so my computer fits perfectly when I turn it. However, if you have anything in between, it won't be very form-fitting. (see video)

Everyone complaining about this bag being too small should have read the reviews before buying it. Yes, it is very "slim." I'm a college student and I had a large Targus backpack before this one, and that was just too large for my everyday needs. When I got this bag I was very surprised at how light it really was. The construction is great. The straps are well padded, and the back of the bag that rests against your back is also well padded. One of the straps has an elastic pouch on it to hold small items like a pack of gum or keys or whatever. It isn't easy to see though, and it lies flush with the surface of the strap when it's not being used. As far as storage goes. I can fit my laptop (a 15.4 inch MacBook Pro), a large textbook, a spiral notebook, a regular 2-pocket folder with stuff in it, 2 portable external hard drives with their USB cables, a pack of gum, 2 pens and pencils (there are only 2 actual pencil/pen holders, but you can use other slots for more), earbuds for my mp3 player,the apple remote for my laptop, and a couple other small things in the main compartment itself. Then in the secondary compartment I have my laptop power supply, the power supply extension cord, a 6-foot firewire cable, my iPod nano, and the iPod connector cable. In the side compartment (where the thin gray section is on the front of the bag in the picture shown) I can fit an audio cable (1/8" to 1/8"), another audio cable (1/8" to RCA stereo), and probably a few more thin things like that. and all of this stuff can go in this bag without over-stuffing or bulging. So, for being such a tiny bag, it can really hold a lot. I've been using it for 1 month now and it has been great. (no zipper problems, tears, or anything. which is what i expected anyway.) so if you're like me, and you only have to carry around maybe one large textbook at a time and your laptop, this is a great bag. It looks good and it is quite comfortable. It's super light and has enough space for what I need.

cons: too many useless small inside pockets and no partition, not a good backpack for books,

overall: if you need to carry notebook and small number of other stuffs, buy it. If you need to carry notebook as well as other books and notebooks, forget it.

It fits my macbook pro 17" just perfectly, along with the power cord, the external HDD, my headphones, ethernet cable, and wireless mouse. There's also a mobile phone pocket on the front of the straps. It's extremely compact and stylish. Unlike typical backpacks, it doesn't stick out very far from your back. It's almost like it integrates with you.

Unfortunately, the colour options suck, and the straps sit really stiffly on your shoulders.

UPDATE: I bought this July 20, 2008. It is now April 18, 2011, and both of the bags that I bought have completely crapped out. One of the zippers of the main compartment has snapped off, making it possible to close with only one zipper. The place where the straps attach have started to come undone. We don't mistreat the bags. Both are filled with a laptop, and cell phone, wallet, keys, etc. Possibly the charger, depending on the day, and maybe an extra battery. Mine held a 17" macbook pro, and the husband's held a 15 inch dell xps something or other. Both were used daily (or almost daily) for about an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening (which is roughly the amount of time we'd commute to and from work).
