Vera Bradley 17" Laptop Sleeve

First off, I am a HUGE Vera Bradley fan. I avidly follow the release of new patterns and styles. Knowing my love of Vera, my husband purchased me this laptop sleeve for my birthday. The colors are beautiful, and as usual the design and craftsmanship is great!

HOWEVER my laptop, which is a 17 inch Alienware, does not fit in this sleeve. It is too thick. I have re-purposed this to now hold various cords that I keep near my laptop, and it also works well for that. But just beware when purchasing that if you have a thicker laptop such as my Alienware, it might not fit into this sleeve even though it is for 17 inch laptops.

The laptop Sleeve fits perfect my 15 inch computer. The only thing I wish would be handels to carry the sleeve.

The sleeve design is excellent and very detail oriented, for example the two way zipper has a little butterfly in it.

The materials are good (the interior is very soft and the exterior is neoprene). The size is great for a 17' laptop (it even has a little more space).

I needed something to protect my laptop when travelling, or just when not in use. It is exactly what I wanted. My computer is 17.3 and this sleeve is a perfect fit, not to big, and not too little.

It is a beautiful bag and I love the canvas material it is made of. It seems light and sturdy. The bag weights about 2.8 LB including all straps and changing pad. The backpack straps are built-in and when you want to stow the straps away, you just unclip the bottom clips, place the backpack straps in the zippered compartment in the back, and zip up. You can also store the messenger strap in this pocket. Nice and neat. The side pockets can accommodate 17oz water bottles, although if you put one bottle each side, it may take away a little space away from the main compartment. I love the additional outside front pocket -a good mommy pocket if you don't mind your smart phone near the magnets. I love the 2 stationary insulated bottle pockets inside, again large enough even for adult water bottles. Under the messenger flap is a deep zippered pocket.

But a few things bother me. I hope timi and leslie can improve on.

1)The inside lining is dark chocolate. Very very hard to see, especially it is a deep bag. It seems I have to "scoop" the bottom of the main compartment to make sure things did not get forgotten. The lining in the main compartment is not sewn down. You can flip it out and get rid of crumbs, etc.. which is good, but on the flip side, it often creates crevices and hard to see the bottom of the bag.

2)In the backpack mode, the hard board at the bottom of the bag pokes at my back. The company should get rid of the cardboard and instead, reinforce the bottom with leather to give it structure.

3)back of the bag is not padded for comfort.

These are deal-breakers for me. They may not bother you.

Another minor complaint i have is it takes two efforts with one hand or takes 2 hands to close both flaps, because each flap has 2 small magnets at the corners. Not a big deal... but for a mom on the go, it could be annoying.

Also, pay attention to the picture of the internal main compartment. That is how big it is... not very big but it's deep. It is because of the 2 inside insulated bottle holders taking up space.

I get compliments on this diaper bag all the time! I bought this diaper bag on Amazon, while I was in Germany, based solely on its description. I am so glad I did!

Pros

It is well organized.

It is not too big, nor is it too small for everyday use. However, I would not recommend this for packing many things for an extended trip.

It may be used as a backpack. If you use an infant carrier, you will definitely appreciate this feature. It is very uncomfortable to use a shoulder strap while carrying your baby.

The backpack straps may be conveniently stored in the back zipper compartment.

The backpack straps are lightly padded.

The backpack straps are adjustable. I am only 4'11'', at 110 pounds, while my husband is 6'1'' at 170 pounds. Neither of us has any problem adjusting the straps to fit properly.

The shoulder strap is removable.

It comes with easy-to-use stroller straps.

The design is simple and the colors are pleasing, without being too girly.

It comes with a changing pad, which I have found to be indispensable.

The changing pad has a pocket that you may use to store wipes and diapers. It makes it easy to change my daughter's diaper while we're out, without having to take the whole diaper bag to the rest room.

Cons

The stroller straps broke after only 3 months of use.

The shoulder strap is not long enough for most people to be able to use across their bodies (It is barely long enough for me at only 4'11'').

The bottle pockets do not keep bottles warm or cold for very long (maybe 2 hours).

I love this Diaper Bag! I can't say enough good things about it. I bought it because we had a second child and I wanted a backpack style to make it easier to carry with 2 babies. However, after recieving I wished I had found this when I had my first baby. I love that it has the backpack straps and shoulder strap. I can throw it on my back and have 2 free hands (really good when traveling in airports etc). I also love that it has a shoulder strap, I can hang it off my stroller or carry it like a traditional diaper bag. It also comes with stroller straps that work great too. The straps are super comfy and don't dig in your arm or shoulder. It has several organization pockets which make it great for multiple kids. I can keep the different size diapers seperate and not get them mixed up. It has deep pockets and I can cram lots of stuff in it (Wipes, burp cloth, nursing cover, set of clean clothes, toys, pacifiers, and on and on..). Many times I don't even carry a purse and just have a coach little purse I throw in the front pocket. It easily wipes off if it gets dirty. It comes with a change pad, that is perfect size for infants and you turn it and it works for toddlers too. If you are looking for a new Diaper Bag get this bag you will not be disappointed! I've even thought of buying another one to use as a backup :)

Sesame Street Elmo Red Medium Backpack Bag Tote

I purchases this bag for my 2 year old son because he loves elmo. The bag was a bit bigger than I thought and it expands out once you put stuff in it so depending on what we have in it my son isn't able to carry it on his back all the time, but i figured he would just be able to grow into it so i wasn't going to bother sending it back for a smaller one.

We have used this as a everyday bag for him when he goes to daycare to carry his pullups, wipes, toys and snacks. It has been stuffed with clothes and shoes alsothe bag seems to be durable and my son loves it.

If your getting this for a toddler though you might want to get a smaller sized one as my son is 2 and most think he is either 3 or 4 already because of his height and the bag was a little too big for him.

We haven't used it yet but as an Elmo lover its good fot me. Its perfect size for my 4 year old preschooler. Elmo himself is very soft too which I didn't expect.

Hard to believe we have had this bag for a few months and my daughter just won't let it go. We use it for daycare and pack most of her day to day and weekly belongings and meals so it works out nicely. I would have liked a little more room though. At the end of the week we bring all of her belongings home and sometimes need a second bag to carry her stuff. Other than that, well made and solid little bag that does the job.

I'm so happy I came across this bag! When not traveling I use this for my cleats after rugby, softball, football, and soccer. It's really great for the car because I don't like getting dirt in my trunk from my boots. Oh and I can put the bag in my gym bag or backpack while at school without harming my texts or macbook.

Pros:

1) Zipper Placement I think the zipper would have been better placed along one of the long edges of the bag rather than down the middle. If this were done, dirt could quickly be removed form the back. In it's current placement I have to turn the bag inside-out to remove the dirt.

This Eagle Creek Pack-It is really a nice looking and quality shoe sac.

I always carry an extra pair of sports shoes with me and as this is waterproof, it does create a pretty good "odor" barrier as well so I can finally pack my shoes inside bag neatly rather than in several plastic bags and instead of stuffing them in the outside pocket which makes for a very lumpy and frumpy looking bag as well as making the bag much larger.

I only gave it 4 stars because I just don't see why for $13. they couldn't have made this Sac just a little bit larger. My sports shoes are only a men's 8.5 4E and they just fit in there, on their sides, and the bag just barely zips closed...no way they fit laying side-by-side which would make the space the Shoe sac takes up a little less thick and easy to compress a bit.

I can fit my swimming shoes and sandals in it and it still has the length limitation but both pairs of these fit nicely (size men's 9).

I also bought the (3) nylon shoe bags for $8.29 at the same time (nylon travel shoe bags set of 3 now $6.64) Nylon Travel Shoe Bags Set of 3

They are sized about the same once closed with the drawstring (I will be adding one of those pinchy backpacking things to keep them closed more easily and tightly).

I really like the look and convenience of the Eagle Creek Shoe sac. The materials seem very durable. Time will tell. The handle is a great addition.

Quality: Seems pretty good so far.

Characteristics: Nice that you can see enough to know what's inside but it's not fully-transparent. The fact that it is waterproof is great because you don't have to worry about wet or dirty shoes destroying anything else in your suitcase/bag. Also great that it has a carry-handle (it's the little things that make it work for me)

Size: I am a men's 11-12 depending on the shoe and I find that my smaller dress shoes fit just about right but anything bigger will either not fit or get seriously squished inside when traveling. I often have to put shoes heel-to-toe like in a shoebox which is fine but they still get squished in just a few hours. I really can't imagine how people are fitting more than one pair in these bags, but I suppose it' possible since they are indicating much smaller sizes. It would be nice if Eagle Creek made a larger size; I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Hard decision to knock two stars for the size issue: I'm not a fan of people who rate low because they can't read, or because of something not inherently "wrong" with the product itself. This product is good for smaller shoes. That being said, however, I decided to knock two stars off in the end since the issue here is that Eagle Creek did not clearly mention that this was for smaller sizes only in their specs. I feel the manufacturer should clearly state that and not force customers to rely on reviews to find that out.

My package arrived in august and I can't even remember all the complements I've gotten on it.

Pros:

More than enough space. I can fit two textbooks, three smaller books and my over sized notebook paper.

Looks really cool.

Many pockets to organize stuff in.

Inside padding for a laptop, but no strap to hold it in place.

Cons:

My zipper caught and ripped the leather-type fabric and the rip keeps getting bigger (still smaller than a quarter and hardly noticeable except when zipping + unzipping but disappointing none the less.) Maybe if i glue the "leather" to the underneath padding that problem will be fixed...

Tends to hurt my shoulders but like I said I am carrying around a lot of books. This is my first year of college so I'm not used to carrying around so much.

Love, love, love this bag it is sturdy, has many pockets, and seems to have a number of applications (beach or no beach). Given the variety of colors and designs, there's likely to be something for most people in this line perhaps this bag has suffered from poor advertising, but the complete lack of customer reviews (prior to mine) is surprising to me. Very solid material, does not feel cheap whatsoever, has a pocket for your laptop, and quite frankly it's "interesting". There are a lot of ordinary bags out there in terms of appearance. Why not pick something a little outside the lines, and possibly GAIN even more functionality than other bags for a totally reasonable cost ($60) too. You'll easily pay that for a laptop backpack. I am very proud of my choice, of both product and then the specific color/style white argyle. All in all, this bag is tasteful, has broad function, and quite frankly: it's cool.

But not for it's intended purpose, surfing. This is my travel backpack for overnite races ( tri's, running etc ). just the perfect amount of room & compartments. For surfing I use the Dakine Riders large which is perfect...

Stick with Dakine or Ogio, you can't go wrong with either...

I'm so impressed! I talked to a REAL person, she was very kind and apologetic that I'd experienced issues, and she absolutely stood behind their product. March 2011 I just received this bag today and am in LOVE with it! My baby isn't due until May, but I have 3 other children and thus, lots of experience with diaper bags.

This diaper bag seems to have it all; numerous pockets that are well-placed and a good size (there are 3 large zippered pockets, 2 magnetic-closure pockets, 2 inner bottle pockets and 2 rectangular "sleeves" for diapers and wipes), sturdy straps and hardware, nice-size zipper pulls that are functional and not awkward.

The material feels much sturdier than I expected and has nice details. The changing pad (solid gray color) folds up and fits nicely inside the bag because it's NOT that stiff, plastic material you'd find in most diaper bags. I'm looking forward to using the different strap configurations, and they seem easy to move and switch around. The drawstring bag included to store the strap appendages is very sturdy and slips nicely inside the diaper bag without being bulky.

In summary...

Although I haven't put it to real, practical use, I have a good "gut feeling" about this bag, based on the numerous diapers bags I've owned and worn out in the past. :) Good quality, great organizing potential, sturdy hardware and of course, SUPER cute design in both shape and material. This bag gets a HUGE "two thumbs up" from me. It's my first time seeing a bag by "Bumble Bags", much less purchasing one but I am a believer!!!!!

UPDATE: THREE MONTHS LATER...

I LOVE THIS BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our baby came in May, and I've used it every single day since then. I can get an amazing amount of stuff into it. I love the outside end pockets because they're great for slipping my phone and keys into. I have used the convertible straps several times and my favorite configuration is the one where I can attached the bag to my stroller, and it only takes 10 seconds to swap out the straps for that stroller option-REALLY easy to do and convenient.

The only, very minor issue I have with it is that the straps can cut into the shoulder and neck a bit, if the bag is particularly heavy, because they're made of seat-belt like material. I wish the makers of the bag had put a slide-able shoulder pad/protector on the strap. BUT, that being said, I woulld absolutely get this bag again. I get lots of compliments on it, and it's worth every penny!

I absolutely love this diaper bag and the print is adorable. I don't even use my purse anymore because this bag is so convenient and cute. I have two little girls and another baby on the way, so I wanted to get a diaper backpack to make things easier! I love that this bag is convertible so you can choose how you want to wear it. The metal rings on the straps are perfect for clipping your keys to and I use the magnetic-close pockets on each side for my cell phone, chapstick, and gum (in one pocket) and my diaper cream and hand sanitizer (in the other pocket). Very easy access. I also love the two pockets inside made for sippies or bottles. The two pockets on the inside for a travel case of wipes and diapers are also very nice. I have never had a diaper bag that made me feel so organized. :) Really couldn't ask for more...definitely worth the $$!

I ordered this bag hoping for a colorful, convertible bag with good organization and easy stroller straps. I was dissapointed with my skip hop duo deluxe (great stroller clips and pockets, good medium size for day use, but too hard to find anything in the main compartment once full) and I like my Timi and Leslie backpack covertible bag pretty well but it is definitely boxy and can be cumbersome when full. This bag is very pretty and is a good medium size but the opening is narrow and the bag is deep so I think it would be hard to fish out what you're looking for easily. The side pockets seem like they would be good for bottles but not much else because they are tall and narrow (I don't use bottles so they were no use to me), I did like that these had magnet closures though. The front and back pockets are roomy but didn't have smaller pockets for organization, so again, would be fishing around for what you need. The biggest issue I had with this bag was the material, it is supposed to be stain resistant but it seems like it would get dirty easily. However, I only loaded this bag up to see if it would work for me but never road tested it. I might have kept it if I had seen other reviews that stated it stayed clean (then again, I didn't see any that said it got dirty but there aren't many reviews on this at all right now). If you want a convertible bag with functional pockets for organization, and something that will stay clean / be easily cleaned, I'd go with the Timi and Leslie canvas collection backpack or tagalong (this is the best I've found so far after using the skip hop duo deluxe and a large laminated kate spade and after ordering, loading up and subsequently returning (without actually using) a bumblebag convertible and skip hop versa). Love everything about it, specially the different handle attachments. I will continue using past the diaper stages for sure because I love it. I use it now mostly for short trips for 2 babies and it holds everything i need. sometimes i wish it was a little bigger, but i hate big bags so i manage to always find a way to fit everything i need in it.

The bag was adorable and my daughter loved it. She used it as a book bag. After the first week of school the straps started to come out so I thought, well it's ok, and I sewed/reinforced the straps myself. This bag was not detachable like it said in the description. I'm wasting money and time

To be honest, I'm happy with it.

It's made better than I expected it to be. And for me, it needs to be made well. I travel a great deal. I use luggage frequently. And I've found that finding well made luggage isn't easy. And when you do find it, it's pricey. What one finds often when shopping for luggage is eye catching aesthetics, or frivolous cell phone pockets. Or water bottle pockets. But the quality which goes into it's construction is usually marginal, at best.

This item, I was concerned would be the same. What caught my eye about it was it's rugged plastic shell. The entire lower half is the shell. Which is very effective at keeping the contents dry, undamaged and otherwise protected. This was a real plus for me. It's roomier inside than I expected it to be too. The caster wheels seem to be of a suitably good quality. The zippers ARE of a good quality.

I like this bag. I think it will last me several years of constant use. Was it worth the price?

If I can get 3 years of good, dependable use from it before things start falling apart, then I would say yes. And I have a strong feeling I'll get that.

Hello Kitty Large Rolling Backpack Roller with Wheels

I bought this backpack for my 5-year daughters Saturday (second language) school.

Pros:

* It is big enough to hold books, supplies, extra clothes, etc.

* It is a roller so a child can pull it to and from school

Cons:

* Although it has "feet," it doesn't seem to want to stand up on its own this is very annoying

I purchased this backpack for my 10 year daughter for school. She currently carries a number of hardcover textbooks back and forth from school and definitely needed something with wheels. With the great price, good size, and the fact that Hello Kitty is one of my daughter's favorite characters, this backpack seemed ideal. Unfortunately within one week, one of the shoulder straps and the zipper for the larger section of the backpack were both broken. I now have to go in search for another backpack for my daughter.

Pros:

Very cute design

Good size backpack to accompany textbooks

Great pricing

Cons:

Backpack does not stand on its own very well the backpack has a tendency to tip forward due to the short size of the legs

Shoulder strap ripped from the stitched area within less than a week of purchasing the product

Zipper is no longer functional on the larger storage section of the backpack

Overview:

Although the backpack is sold at a great price and aesthetically pleasing, I would recommend holding out for a slightly more expensive backpack that has sturdier construction.

It's only the 3rd week of school, and already both straps have completely unraveled, so the shoulder straps no longer work. The buckles holding the straps are of such poor quality that they didn't grip the straps anyway, and kept coming undone.

I also agree about it not staying upright...a very frustrating and disappointing purchase for both my 1st grader and me. We will be buying something else.

The backpack is cute, my daughter likes it, but it's too annoying the fact that doesn't stand and keep falling on the front getting all dirty (last week it rained and it came home a mess!). Would not buy again, and I will probably change it and buy something else.

My granddaughter is not only delighted with the theme of this backpack (she loves her "Hello Kitty"), but I'm impressed with its durability, ease of use and mainly, because it alleviates the back pressure she was suffering from as a result of carrying around those heavy knapsacks. My only problem comes with keeping it clean. However, that's a minor problem when you consider how much it's been bounced around, dropped, rolled around, etc.

I brought this bag for my daughter, paid $30 @ bestbuy. It is a solid bag comparing to these $10 backpacks from Walmart.

I have also owned another SwissGear bag "PEGASUS" since 2006, and that bag is amazing. I still use it every day. This one is lightweight, and it's laptop layer will NOT fit 17 inch laptop (while I can fit 17 inch laptop in PEGASUS); but it's middle layer is very spacious, big enough for 2 DSLRs (much bigger than PEGASUS).

If you want top build quality and top protection, go for PEGASUS. If you want space, lightweight, average protection, this bag is a good choice.

This backpack continues the tradition of high quality and carefully thought-out design for which Swiss Gear is known. It has good storage capacity while still fitting under most airline seats, and has a variety of storage pockets to accommodate everything from a laptop to a tablet/Kindle Reader to small items like keys or flash drives, along with a change of clothes and keep them all organized. Price was also quite good for such a pack.

I bought this from another reputable vendor when on sale. I've had it for a few weeks and it is very good for what I paid for it. The straps are well contoured as well and the back, the weight is distributed well and the zippers are large and strong. So lots of pros. The only con is the fact that there are no inner zipping pockets, or not more small pockets. Since it's a laptop bag, lots of us have dongles and USB drives and small cords that are needed, and there are very few inner pockets to accommodate this need. So not a major problem but one that could have easily been addressed. All in all, a worthy buy and one I would make again at the current price ($46) or less.

I purchased this backpack for a dual purpose:

(1) I needed a backpack that could hold my laptop with a reasonable expectation of its safety.

(2) I needed something to cart papers to be graded/schoolwork/schoolbooks back and forth from my job.

This backpack has definitely delivered on both counts.

The laptop space comfortably holds my 13" laptop (though I'm not a huge fan of the velcro strap that folds over the top of the laptop sleeve to secure it shutit's far too lose on my smaller laptop to provide any securityperhaps a lower velcro strip to allow for a tighter stretch of the strap?) and allows for thin, tall papers and books to be stowed alongside it.

The middle section of the bag holds my 'odd' shaped objectsworkout clothes and sneakers for after school, the odd bit of school-related miscellany. The front section holds my small electronics, pens/pencils and headphones.

It just feels like everything has a place and everything is easily accessible. The straps are wide and well-padded, making it extremely comfortable to wear on my back as I move to and from my classroom.

I am very, very pleased with this backpack.
