This bag has replaced all of my other bags. I carry lots of electronics with me. Easily holds my 10.1 tablet, my nook and my kindle. Still lots of room for cell phone, wallet, glasses and more. Recommend this for your all purpose bag. Love it.

I love this bag for all the many areas of storage/use. The front pocket is NOT big enough to hold a 10" ipad as they say, but that's ok as there are other pockets where a 10" ipad with a sleeve can fit. The only downside is that the bag is a little heavy and then with all my "purse" belongings and the ipad it can become really heavy. But I would recommend it to anyone with a strong shoulder!

Let me just start off by saying that this is my first time purchasing a bag, ever. I do not profess myself to have any sort of authority on messenger bags, briefcases, etc. However, that is all about the change with this bag:

I knew I had to have a bag of decent quality, as I did not care for the cheaper quality offerings from other brands, so after doing some research, I eventually came to the conclusion that the ClaireChase Sorrento Laptop bag was the one to get. Besides, I was getting it for almost 80% off, which is an additional ~30% off the eBags site. "Wow", I thought to myself, what a steal. I think Amazon only sells the "distressed brown" at this price, though.

The bag is of very, very good quality. The leather is top-notch; obviously the bag can get away with a price tag 2x-3x this much. I don't know much about ClaireChase, but I will definitely look at them again in the future.

Another reviewer was cautious about the magnetic straps. I found them to be very strong, and there is a slight groove for them to rest in to prevent slipping. You wouldn't want to stuff this bag to the limit, if for no other reason than weight, which brings me to my next point:

The shoulder strap seems a tiny bit too small in width for this bag. Maybe it is the style. It looks good, but I think I will want to invest in a shoulder pad. It does not come with one, and you will almost certainly find your shoulders getting sore within minutes.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase as I will be using it for school and coffee shops. It is a good medium-sized bag, but I take 1 star off for the shoulder strap thing.

This messenger bag was a gift for my husband. The bag is masculine, very distinguished, and holds his Macbook and other items that he takes to and from work on a regular basis. Quality item and I saved a ton of money ordering from Amazon instead of a competitor website where this bag sells for at least twice as much.

After 24 days of using the bag, the stitching and glue at the back of the bag slowly started to come apart. Less than 5 days later, the entire seam at the top of the rear side of the bag completely came apart. Stitching in other areas was also starting to show wear, and it was a matter of days before those areas gave in as well. I used it daily to carry a MacBook Air, accessories, and paperwork. I'm not sure if it was just this bag that was defected or if the overall quality of the manufacturer is bad. I really do like the bags look, comfort, and feel. I am going to give them one more shot, I will be ordering a replacement today, and hope I am not let down again. The good news is, the return process with Ebags, was extremely easy. Ebags is great !!! This is the only reason I am taking a second chance.

Samsonite Luggage Xenon 2 Backpack

I recently decided to switch from a computer bag to a backpack for my business travel (2-3x per month).

I looked at quite a few backpacks (online mostly) and decided the Xenon 2 was the one for me principally because it featured a strap to connect to the handle on my roll-aboard (or so I thought).

The bag has lots of nice features and appears to be well made. It does sit upright when you set it down, that is a plus.

Oddly though, the strap is too narrow to fit over the handle of the rolling bag and therefore is of no use what a drag!

Also, inexplicably for a business bag, there is no where to hang your keys. Every backpack I have ever seen has one of these.

Well, nothing is perfect, I guess. I was going to send it back after I saw the strap would not work, but the other features and room were good and I liked the TSA friendly computer sleeve, so I am sticking with it and just continuing to hold it onto the rolling bag manually.

The Samsonite Xenon 2 Backpack is perfect for any person that prefers a pack that is rugged, refined, organized and has a great look to it! I looked at over a hundred (no exaggeration) packs. I needed one that gave me easy access to all of my folders, supplies and laptop. The Xenon 2 was definitely the right choice! Plenty of pockets, most of them padded for added security for other electronic devices, the folder slots in the main compartment are reinforced and sturdy, not flimsy fabric folder slots like on other packs. The padded laptop slot is easily adjustable and locks your laptop in like its fort knox Lol! I can fit all of my books, laptop and all of my supplies including drinks and snacks inside. The pack is just the right size, not too large, not too small. The back pads and shoulder straps have very thick and comfortable padding. The external side pockets have rugged elastic in them so they stretch to fit drink bottles. Im very pleased with my purchase.

it is a very good backpack for laptops max 15.6", it has plenty of space for many gadgets and an extra pocket for your tablet.

Y have kept my hp 15.6", my logitech cooling pad, my dj's style earphones, other gadgets , cables, etc., and everything fits very good.

The backpack is it not so bulky and the armbands are very confortable, as it back.

okay well, i bought this as a gift for my husband cos the previous one I got for him died on us after 10 years of use.

I'll just say that this bag is definitely one that grows on you rather than one that is a love at first sight type of bag. The reasons why you kinda go right, huh, bag are

1. The bag is a little bulky with all the padding

2. The handle on top is very obvious and doesn't just flush into the top of the bag

3. The bag is a little heavy even when empty

The reason why you would then quickly come to love it, especially the user:

1. The compartment for laptop promises that you might not even need to take it out of the bag at the airport cos the bag opens up flat

2. The compartment in the centre holds a decent amount of documents and keeps everything pretty much neat (rather than dog ear your soft files)

3. The front compartment with the bits for your phones and is well designed

4. It is very comfortable when you have to carry your laptop and files on your back all that padding for bulk apparently is for your own good

5. Your laptop looks very happy and snug where it is strapped down

So, you know it doesn't overwhelm you at first sight but once you actually use it the reaction is kinda like huh, who knew ... you're quite the bag after all.

Just got back from 3 weeks exploring Uganda, Africa with this pack. It was AMAZING! Used it as a carry-on and carry-all....it protected everything I carried perfectly. Lots of inside pockets to carry whatever you need and nicely padded straps. It is a little heavy even empty, simply because it is so well padded. Not a con for me. i expect to use this backpack for years to come. It still looks brand new even after all of the abuse it took! Definitely a quality item. Highly recommend!!!

Kelty Tactical Strike 2300 Backpack

This is a very well built and useful pack, and may surprise you at just how much it can hold. Based on the reviews I had seen online, I have to say it more than lives up to the positive reputation. I originally was using a Maxpedition Malaga to serve as a small BOB, but as I continued to collect smaller items here and there, I realized that the Malaga was just not suited for what I really had in mindwhich was a more comprehensive and extended-use BOB. The Kelty 2300 took all of the contents which had once maximized the space in my Malaga and still had plenty more room to go. The side pouches were very useful for quick access items and also provide a perfect fit for my Gerber folding shovel. There is a hole at the top to allow direct access to a hydration/water bladder and it comes with a strong support frame which is very comfortable, even with my 40-45 lbs of gear. The only downside from what I can tell is that it lacks the MOLLE attachments you see so often on 'tactical' backpacks these days, however, this did not prevent me from fitting all of my gear inside the pack. There are also lateral 'loops' on the backside of the pack which allow you to put a flashlight or other item for quick use, or attach a detachable small purposes med kit, etc. I don't mean to give a false impression of it's sizerelatively speaking it is probably more in the medium-sized range, but it may surprise you with just how much equipment it can accommodate comfortably.

Great bag for when the SHTF. Tough, well designed and proven.Top notch Kelty suspension system.It is a good 72 hour bag and it does not look particularly tactical (unless you get camo). I've got it packed up as a travel bag as I can get called out of town on short notice. Holds everything I need for a couple days away.

No molle on this bag so if you like to attach a lot of accessories your out of luck; but' if you want a nice tight streamlined bag you can move fast in check out this Kelty.

Great, durable and light backpack. I used it on a 1000km hike from Sevile to Santiago de Compostella and it simply delivered. The sidepockets are great to keep an Camera (It fitted perfectly for my Panasonic Lumix TZ7) or a small GPS (I used a Garmin Edge 705). The pack itself is easy to pack, light and yet it still takes on nasty weather or heavy equipment without a problem. The best thing about this pack however is its amazing ability to fit well regardless of it is highly stuffed or just half full. In short, get this pack if you value quality, I certainly have not regretted getting it

I'm a 17 year old guy who bought this backpack as a present for my baby sister(well, she's 9 but yeah). The price was excellent (around six dollars)which was the main reason I bought this.

As for the backpack itself, it is pretty good. I thought it would be a cheap sort of plastic thing that would only last a few months but I was wrong. The fabric it is made out of is quite thick and durable which is good since the rainy season is upon us. I'm confident that her little books and homework will be kept safe and dry.

Another thing I liked was the fast shipping and the smell of the backpack. Yes, I said smell. It may be weird but I immeadiately noticed that good new backpack smell which reassured me that it wasn't used or tampered with in any way. Another little feature that my sister liked was the "purse" thingy. It's not really a purse; it's more like a little girl wallet thing but she thought it was cool.

Overall, little girls will like this and it makes a nice gift. My sister liked it so much that she is actually saving it for a "special occassion" or something.

My Little Pony 10" Mini Backpack

My 5 year old loved it. It's not large enough to hold a take home folder in, but, it's perfect for her to use as her lunch box.

My daughter is obsessed with My Little Pony so when her lunch box got destroyed I bought this. It is the perfect size and fits right inside her backpack. While it isn't isulated or anything, it is still ok for her to use for say a turkey sandwich with an ice pack in it because she eats lunch around 11, if it needs to stay cold much longer than that, you may want to find one that has some insulation.

I was looking into getting a mini backpack to transition from a purse for more casualty and this one is PERFECT! it's bigger than I thought but not too big and actually just the right size for the kind of backpack I was looking for, plus the adjustable straps are perfect to make it fit to your liking. and of course who wouldnt love a my little pony backpack? the design is very cute and the description doesn't state that the background(sky and grass as well as the logo) is glittery but it added on to the surprise of how i was picturing the backpack at its fullest in my head. it does feature the mane 6 (and yes spike the dragon too!) as pictured which makes this backpack perfect for all my little pony fans! My 9 yr old daughter was looking for a backpack. I let her browse through Amazon, and this is the one she wanted. She was using her own chore money since I had just replaced her backpack the previous month, but she wanted something "better" (her words). I really, really didn't want her to get it because most of the comments tend to say it is the perfect size for pre-k to maybe 1st grade. She was in 3rd grade and brought home lots of stuff from school. Additionally, I was worried about the quality, given the super cheap price (12.50 with discount).

HOWEVER, it is really a perfect size....even at her size and age. Most junior backpacks were still too big and rubbed against her hips; this one was a great size. It was plenty big for all her regular folders and schoolwork. And after 5 1/2 months of brutal daily wear, bus rides, and weekend overnights to friends' houses (stuffed to the brim), has shown no wear. For the price, that is amazing. We are usually replacing elementary school backpacks every 4-6 months b/c of rips on the seam, zipper malfunctions, holes from pencils, etc., etc. but this one keeps chugging along.

She got it in blue and IT IS MUCH, MUCH cuter in person! She has gotten lots of compliments from her friends.

Would definitely recommend this for any girl, probably ages 4 9.

I ordered this bag for my step-daughter as she started kindergarten and it was like Christmas Morning when she saw it. She absolutely loved everything about it. It fit her like a glove! I was really impressed with this bag when it showed up. I gave it 5 stars because now that I have it, I wouldn't want any other bag!

The canvas that it's made out of is super thick and durable. All the seams seem to be stitched rather well. There are a ton of pockets on this thing too. There is a zipper pocket on top of the flap (and the pocket is as big as the flap), you open the flap and you have two large pockets on the front with flaps that snap, those two pockets are attached to a large pocket which is attached to the main compartment, and then another large pocket on the back of the bag. Bonus is that it even came with it's own ruler!

I bought the bag to keep my knitting projects & supplies handy, but I could easily use this for my laptop, or school (if I was in school), or even an overnight bag. I'd buy another if I needed one!

My husband owned the original Danish school bag, and after 40 something years of use, it finally wore out. We were unable to find the original bag to repurchase; however, Rothco makes a line of canvas bags in similar style to the one my husband owned.

We purchased this Rothco bag in black, model # 8118. A single buckle over each front pocket holds a velcro strip in place, which secures the bag closed. It is not the same canvas weight nor craftsmanship as the original Danish bag, but is a good value for the purchase price. It is a nice looking bag and has all the amenities of the Danish bag (shoulder strap, top handle, zip around expandable sides and bottom, loads of inside pockets, top zipper pocket and a ruler inside an interior slip pocket a dual purpose item which is also used to keep the top flat and in shape. The only fault found was that the shoulder strap could be a bit longer.

If you're looking for an all purpose canvas messenger bag to use in lieu of a briefcase, I (we) would recommend this bag by Rothco.

My little guy is a big Elmo fan.

He is using this backpack for his school (P-K), it is perfect for P-K, K or first graders. I don't think it could handle to be carrying a lot of books or stuff every single day.

But it works great for a little kid. What I don't like it is the lunch box, it only have one zipper, I prefer a double zipper lunch box it could make my life easier.

Visconti Leather Distressed Messenger Bag 18548-HARVARD

Its okay, the rubber part of the strap began cracking after 2 months of use, I expect it will fall off in another few months. The oiled leather rubs off on light colored clothing, I have dark stains on the shoulder and back of my shirts and pants! They don't really wash off well either. I'm not sure I'd get an oiled leather bag again.

I don't know about you, but I browsed messenger bags for months before I landed on this one for sure. I think i had looked at this one a few times before I finally chose to buy it. It wasn't my first choice, but between price and everything else; it was a winner for me.

I have the brown one, and it looks very nice. It was hard to not notice how impressive looking the leather makes this bag appear, and in every other way it shares the theme. People will look at this and think it's a well made, expensive bag.

I have personally not had any issues with any oil rubbing off on my clothing, at least not that I've noticed. I saw another review or two that did, so I wanted to mention that.

I know the dimensions were listed, but for me it's kind of difficult to envision the size of a bag on me based on numbers. I knew it wasn't going to be gigantic, but I find it somewhat small. It does look a little like a man purse, but not overly so. When it's full it does hold more to the messenger bag look. i am 6'1" however so being a above average sized male that does play a role in the relative concept in regards to the bag size vs me. If you are smaller than I am, you would have less of an issue with this bag size.

The only other thing i didn't realize based on the product page that i discovered was that the bag does not zip closed. Every other messenger bag I've owned has had this. The top flap goes over the opening, and thats about it. It seems to work well enough as it has magnetic buttons on the inside of the flap to keep it down, but i dunno, it just seems to annoy me slightly. It's by no means a deal broker for myself, but you should know what you're getting.

Overall though I like it quite a bit. It holds my ultrabook in a padded case, along with two portfolio's which include notebooks, or one and a moderate sized book. Everything is sown superbly and looks great. You can tell it is of higher quality than a lot of other bags out there.

If you don't mind something on the slightly smaller side you would probably like this bag, i know i do.

I gave a 3 star for overall good quality but with issue.

Good looking bag, nice packaging like a high-end product should be. Leather is soft and of good quality. BUT the oil finishing coating does rub off...I rubbed the surface with a white tissue to see if the color rubs off after I saw another review addressing this issue IT DOES! So beware if you wear this on light clothing, as it will stain your clothing if you wear it frequent. I ordered the black one, so I can not speak for other color if they rub off or not. Bottom line, if you wear jeans or dark color clothing, you're probably OK, but you might have an issue if you wear light color clothing. Not sure if the stained on the clothing can be washed off either.

I have a 15" Macbook Pro and it fits perfectly. It even hold the stand/fan I use with it. There are lost of different size pockets for everything I need to carry. And I like that it stands up when I put it down. It would be nice if it had two or three pen/pencil holders. The only thing I don't like is the position of the shoulder pad. I'm short and the buckle is too big to move the pad, so it doesn't rest on my shoulder.
