I LOVE this bag. I am buying a second one for when I wear this one out! It holds it all. Currently mine is holding, a SLR Camera, 2 lenses, 2 notebooks 1 full size, a Kindle (thank you Amazon), 2 pairs of sunglasses, my make up, my wallet and still has planty of room for a cat (which put herself in there). It's comfortable to carry and wear for long walks, bike rides etc. And will do all of this without being completely in the way! It hugs your body and is only as big as you make it and even full fits by your feet without getting in the way. Plus, and this is a big bonus, the price is right! Under $30. Urban Outfitters and other places had a similar bag, for almost $200. Ridiculous!

The bag is very stylish and perfect for the minimalist. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are three internal pockets for sorting gear. Two medium sized pockets, and one large one. The D-rings on the outside are perfect for strapping extra gear. The strap on the top of the bag is perfect for carrying the bag when its not on your shoulders. The disadvantages of this bag are the cumbersome buckles that take a while to open/close. My biggest issue with this bag is that there is no internal structure or frame. If the bag is empty, its very limp.

I ordered this rucksack after previewing at least ten others. I was really worried about buying one that was strong enough to hold books, a computer, extra shoes, or anything else I need. It arrived on time and I fell in love with the weathered and official look of it. It's large enough to hold textbooks, gym clothes (including shoes), a computer and anything else you might want to carry around. I am content with the backpack I received, but I found some minor things wrong with it. the zippers are large but cheap, I see some zipper problems in the future. Also the padding for the shoulder straps are comparable to that of a child's back pack, very thin and floppy. the buckles are also very cheap, I put the waist strap on and it just popped off. thank god im using this as a diaper bag for my new born, and that I have a tac bag from the service, for all my outdoor hiking and camping needs. cause I don't think this one would hold up.

Dabbawalla Backpack

The back pack is very nice looking but the shoulder straps are not very good.

The shoulder strap are very badly design. The bag has 2 holes on each side of the bag, they are placed closer to the bottom of the bag to allow the straps loosely go through from inside of the bag.

This might be great in theory, but in practice when a child uses it, the bag moves from side to side and it makes the strap longer or shorter each time the bag move a little.( It is very uncomfortable for the child)

Also the 2 holes at the bottom of the bag are so big that if you happen to place a fork or spoon inside the bagDabbawalla Lunch Bag, Holy Cow, it will slip though the holes and when the child need to use it, it won't be there.

The product looks nice and I am happy that it is PVC free. However the product was stated to have dimensions of 14 x 14 x 6. Because of this I had expected it to be big enough to easily hold a standard 8 1/2" x 11" notebook even with the rounding that occurs at the top of most backpacks. I am very disappointed that a standard notebook barely fits and in some cases the backpack may cause the corners to bend. It might just be functional for its intended use as a backpack for pre-school and kindergarten.

On physical inspection, the interior measurements of the backpack without contorting it are 10"w x 11 1/2"w (at center) x 6". To get those 14" dimensions, I needed to flatten, stretch, or otherwise distort it well beyond its natural shape. Counting the top loop at its fullest extent is also useful to get that 14" height. Amazingly, the 6" depth appears to be accurate.

In terms of quality, the materials and sewing looks adequate. I can see how it would be possible for small objects to fall out through the small gaps where the back straps go through the bottom of the pack.

This bag is a great size for my (3T wearing) 2 year old. The length-adjustable straps are nice, and we added a carabiner clip across my son's chest to make sure the straps don't slide off of his shoulders when he has a full backpack. The soft neoprene is very comfortable for my son; it's not rigid at all. The backpack is roomy and the neoprene keeps fruit and snacks cool. I'm about to use this as his lunchbox this week with an ice pack and I expect it will work just fine.

We get stopped everywhere by people wanting to know where we got this backpack. It is much cuter in person than in the pictures and my son absolutely loves it. I couldn't be happier with the looks, the size or the usefulness. It's not cheap, but it keeps things cold, has plenty of room for toys and books, and is machine washable. What more can you ask for?

We got this as a gift for our 1 1/2 year old. It says ages 3 and up, but all the small pieces are sewn on, so I feel comfortable letting her use it under supervision. She loves to put small toys in and take them out again, put it on and follow her big brother (with his school backpack) all around and snuggle the bear. We take this (with some toys in it) in the car and on small trips and it keeps her entertained for a while. It is quite light weight so I would't put books or anything heavy in it, but it has held up fairly well. It is really soft and snuggly as well as being cute. The straps are too big for baby, but she only wears it for a few minutes anyway, and they are adjustable so I think as she grows she will continue to enjoy it. We like it so much we have bought some as gifts for friends who have admired it and they rave about it too.

I ordered this for my granddaughter's upcoming first birthday based on the fact that the description said the manufacturer's recommendation was for age 6 months and up. It arrived today and the first thing I saw was the very prominent tag saying age 3 and up. The bear has bead eyes and it is decorated with small sewn on bows. This is not a safe toy for a one year old toddler. However, it is adorable and very light weight for a small child to use. I will save it till Amelie is a little older.

My granddaughter wanted a back pack that she would be able to take to church with her on Sundays. Appearance: It is quite similar to the image provided by the seller. The greyish streaks aren't as visible as on the photo but everything else is exactly the same (the zipper, the strap/handle and the metal eyelets). Unfortunately it does not come with the shoulder strap but that doesn't bother me because I usually carry it in my backpack.

Comfort: I love the feel of the material used. Its soft, padded and a bit stretchy.

Also, the short handle straps are sewn to the inside of the carrying case so if you want to use them, you won't be able the case closed completely. But despite that, its a great case!

Son loves this case. It fits his Lenovo ultrabook just right. It's light, and just the right size if he just needs to carry his ubook. The shoulder strap is super and case is protective enough for Ohio winters.

Case Logic 17" Laptop Messenger Bag

I bought this for my new 17.3" laptop. I read a lot of reviews trying to find a bag that would actually fit my new computer, and I was running out of luck. When I found this one I decided I liked the style of it so much I'd take the risk, and it was so worth it.

My 17.3" laptop fits in the laptop compartment with about a finger's width leftover. The laptop compartment is well padded on both sides.

In the flip part of the messenger bag is 2 separate compartments, which easily fits my drawing tablet. It'll probably fit files and documents easily, too. There's a zipper compartment in the front as well which has a few pockets and pen holders, and other little things. The zip pocket on the outside of the bag isn't as big as I thought, but I think it's mostly decoration. It'll fit a cellphone and a few other small electronics for easy access.

Overall the laptop bag is great. The strap is comfortable. It's not bulky or awkward. As another reviewer said, the clips for the strap are made of a mix between plastic and metal which could be built better. But unless you're known to destroy purses or backpacks, then it shouldn't be a problem.

My only complaint is that the inside of the bag isn't that pretty baby blue as advertised. It's more of an aqua green. It's not a bad color, but that was part of what sold me on this bag was the blue.

I like the look of this bag, and use it as my new work bag, taking my laptop to/fro and my daily papers. There isn't a lot of space in the bag, though -I mean, it's rather narrow from front to back, so I have difficulty fitting much more than a couple thin books and my laptop in it. For those who were wondering, considering it's flap front, it is NOT a messenger bag, but rather a fairly stylish, slim, yough'ish looking laptop bag.

Pros:

* It fits all my 3 laptops (13.3", 15", 17") with ease (separately), and with reasonable padding.

* It's fairly stylish -more on the younger person style than and older more staid person's.

* Easy access to zippered pockets, including the one on the front which is surprisingly well placed

Cons:

* Too thin from front to back -it's not very forgiving, and doesn't fit larger objects with any reasonable width.

* The front flap, after a couple weeks of normal wear, is starting to butterfly out, as if the plastic / cardboard lining is out of whack

* While stylish, it isn't really "professional" looking enough to use it if you're going to take your laptop with you on a business trip where you'll be running into clients (in my opinion).

* I fear the clap which buckles the front flap to the body of the bag will eventually stretch out the nylon belt it grasps on to.

* It's wide -I'm 6'1" and a pretty big guy, and this definitely goes fully across my back. It might be too big for some people's preference. IT took a little getting used to in my case.

On the whole, a good bag, but given the option again, I think I would choose something else.

I finally got a chance to test out this laptop bag when I traveled last weekend, and I thoroughly liked it. I have a 17-inch laptop that's plenty heavy, plus I like to take the cords (with their big power brick) and the mouse, so the fact that the bag added little extra weight was a plus. I was able to pack the computer and all its gear, plus two stacks of CDs, a fat paperback, and a magazine, with room to spare. I've always liked Caselogic products, from way back when I'd buy them for the cassettes in my car, and this bag was no exception. It can't be beat for the price.

I have a 17.3 laptop and the bag is able accommodate the size of my laptop,the power cord,a mouse and my sketchbook and a folder with little room to spare. The bag is definitely meant for those who travel light. I love the contemporary style of the bag. The minimalist aesthetic was what i was looking for in a bag.However, the durability of bag is questionable. I have had the bag for a month and the nylon strap that messenger flap clips on to is already beginning to tear away from the bag and the zipper for the speed pocket is not functioning properly. I will be definitely be taken advantage of the warranty once I figure out how to.

I LOVE MESSENGER BAGS!....

Post-Katrina I seem to have collected them, I generally break `em at the strap and start over losing lovely bags... plus-side the Caselogic messenger bag has a 25 Yr. Limited warranty, thankfully. It has top-load access for laptop and loads of zippered pockets and additional storage with practical organizational details. It fits all 17" easily and w/padding.

The overall principle here being you can carry everything you need in one easily to find it unit. If Considering travel by plane or simply using the unit for work it is pretty cool. Plenty of additional storage External Speed Pocket for securing phones or timey-wimey accessories, billfolds maybe keys all for easy access. Internal Power Pocket holds cords and power-bricks or other tech accessories. Inside accessory pockets to organize portablables (mini-mouse, MP3 and pens). Document organizer for folders and/or mags.

It Sports a luggage strap for attaching messenger to rolling luggage. This model's External dimensions are 17.75" x 13.75" x 3.25". I do Love the nylon-microfiber make of the bag but, on the downside, the front-flap is a weaklink, overall the case may not be big enough for much more than your 17" laptop & its accessories, if you are using this bag for a smaller computer it is loads more convenient. Overall, sturdy and stylish, but a but unwieldy.

Black Diamond Demon Backpack

When I got this pack, the straps weren't sewn on properly. I returned it over a month ago and am still waiting for my refund. Amazon and Backcountry both agree that I'm owed my money back, but can't seem to figure out why they haven't issued the refund yet.

UPDATE: I finally got my refund, and I ended up buying the same pack directly from Black Diamond with no issues. Better late than never. I gave the pack one star at first, but the replacement I ordered direct from BD has been great, so I'm going to bump it up to 4.

This was a great looking bag, a little different than the usual. I attend college, and must carry quite a few books but I was very disappointed when the shoulder strap pulled out within a few weeks.

I like the style of the back pack. Also I received it faster than what the estimated date for it was. The downsides to this was, all the straps use to secure this bag slip right through and can't hold anything. I can sew so this isn't a huge issue but it does mean I have to take time out of my day to sew each strap. If I couldn't sew I would send this back to the company. Also it was confusing finding out which strap went to which. Other than that it's a cool backpack.

Needed a cooler for biking and saw this item on Amazon and decided to try it out. For what you pay for it, it's good enough. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. When the bag is empty, it is extremely flimsy, almost paper like, and doesn't sit well when you wear it. When it is full of items, it keeps it nice and snug. For something that's fairly cheap, it does it's job.

I got this backpack in hopes it was in-between a basic drawstring and a basic school bag. It definitely is. Light thin material highly adjustable. Very nice

this great little bag folds up well, is insulated and is a great green color. We got it because my son used it as part of his Halloween costume, but we are using it when we travel, camp and hike. Just don't load too much weight into it, the straps do not appear to be that strong, and are thin (the kind that cut into your shoulders).

Amazing backpack. I was a bit nervous about buying from a random seller instead of Herschel itself but I don't regret it. I received the bag 3 days earlier than expected (which was great). Moreover, it was cheaper than buying it from the actual website.

This backpack is a decent size. Most of all I love the little sleeve for my laptop. I never realized how horrible my old backpack was compared to this one. Very comfortable, I'm able to walk all over campus carrying my essentials (including my laptop) without dying of back pains (over exaggeration but you get the idea).

Don't get me wrong, these bags are awesome. I love everything about the simplicity of the design, and they appear to be very durable, but the colors aren't what I expected.

I ordered 2 expecting to give one to my girlfriend, the teal, and the lime punch.

The lime punch turned out to be a pukey mucusy greenish yellow as opposed to taxi cab yellow(shown in the photo) and the teal is darker than shown, and more just blue than vibrant teal.

Of course I understand that things are often slightly different than they appear in photo's, but the lime punch was ugly looking and now we're exchanging it for the purple. Once that ships, we'll see how it turns out.

JanSport Skagit Outdoor Lifestyle Series Daypack

ORIGINAL REVIEW 4/4/2011

I bought this backpack about a month ago. When I first opened it, my initial impression was one word: CHEAP! The backpack is made of a thin, plastic-feeling material, the zippers are plastic and feel flimsy, and the straps are just foam padding with a mesh (mesh! not even fabric) covering.

However, after using this backpack as a school and overnight bag for about a month now, it's holding up surprisingly well. I still think it feels kinda cheap, but it's pretty sturdy as well.

The design of the backpack is very basic. One HUGE compartment, and one fair-sized outer pocket. The outer pocket can fit a light sweater easily. It also has organizer pockets for pens and such. The main compartment is tall enough to fit a widescreen laptop, and has yet to fail me sizewise--I've fit everything I've wanted to, no problem.

If I remember to, I'll come back in a few more months to update my review (it'll have some outdoor experience by then too), but at this point in the game, I would buy this backpack again. Great price, functional, and sturdy enough so far.

I've had this backpack for 6 months now. While I still think the material feels cheap, I can say that it's pretty sturdy and resilient.

The backpack's size is both a blessing and a curse. The main compartment is ridiculously large-I can fit a widescreen laptop, a pair of shoes, two pairs of jeans, and four shirts, just in the one compartment. However, it's not so great when you have very little to carry. If you put in just a textbook, it "sinks" to the bottom and flops around. Same with notebooks. You really have to fill it a little to keep everything in place.

Comfort-wise, I'd put this backpack as average. I've definitely worn more comfortable and supportive packs, but this one's not the worst. If you're looking for a backpack on a budget, I'd definitely recommend it, but if you've got money to spare, maybe not.

I bought the Blue Ridge version this pack for $25 at Marshall's near my home town with the intent of using it as my day pack on my backpacking tour across Europe coming up in the next year. I liked it initially because I could roll it up tightly to fit into my big pack, it has 30L of space, and i trust the Jansport name.

I have only used it yet for small day trips, hikes, and one trip to Niagra Falls. Thus far it has failed to impress me with how much it can fit and how comfortable and light the straps feel even in 110 degree weather-not to mention, the quality of the zippers and material has impressed me. Though it lacks compression straps on the side to accomedate smaller loads, I plan on only using it when I need to take a lot of stuff, so it doesn't bother me much.

I would say this is a great pack for an intermediate to avid backpacker.

I tested it out and took a walk to the park the day I got it. Most backpacks kill my back and neck when loaded up, but this was not that bad. The straps are nice and soft and there is a TON of room for everything I need. I can't wait to use it for the pool this summer!

I bought this backpack and lunch box for my 4 year old daughter. I thought it was super cute and well constructed. My daughter especially liked that the hello kitty was fuzzy. She couldn't wait to bring it to school. My only complaint is that the lunch box is pretty large considering it is paired with a small size backpack. Dakine Interval Pack

Okay so, I have ordered this pack 3 times from 3 different companies... all of which use the same photo as what is posted here. Notice on the bottom of the pack... it is a solid black bottom end, right? Well the pack that i have received all three times has solid black camo with no black bottom. In addition the zippers are all fluorescent green like the logo... I hate this, but needed the pack and didn't want to return it again. So there it is folks.

My Little Pony 10" Mini Backpack

My 5 year old loved it. It's not large enough to hold a take home folder in, but, it's perfect for her to use as her lunch box.

My daughter is obsessed with My Little Pony so when her lunch box got destroyed I bought this. It is the perfect size and fits right inside her backpack. While it isn't isulated or anything, it is still ok for her to use for say a turkey sandwich with an ice pack in it because she eats lunch around 11, if it needs to stay cold much longer than that, you may want to find one that has some insulation.

I was looking into getting a mini backpack to transition from a purse for more casualty and this one is PERFECT! it's bigger than I thought but not too big and actually just the right size for the kind of backpack I was looking for, plus the adjustable straps are perfect to make it fit to your liking. and of course who wouldnt love a my little pony backpack? the design is very cute and the description doesn't state that the background(sky and grass as well as the logo) is glittery but it added on to the surprise of how i was picturing the backpack at its fullest in my head. it does feature the mane 6 (and yes spike the dragon too!) as pictured which makes this backpack perfect for all my little pony fans! (this includes the guys that dont mind a little pink and purple and a little bit of glitter but just want to show their love for my little pony. there isn't really anything to dislike about this backpack and i would definitely recommend it!

Its really nice the material its made out of has a semi elastic stretch but yet still cloth feel. The drawstrings allows you to put more than the bag actually holds. I am well satisfied with the making just not the size. I expected bigger but I love it still.

Dakine Point Pack

This backpack didn't surprise me on the look, the size was perfect for a student in Grade 10 to haul their stuff around, all around good choice.

This is a nice bag for the price, I only paid like $35 for it, but if I was going to pay more I would have liked a two pull zipper on the small front pocket, doesn't seem like a big deal but my packs have always had that and now I find it slightly annoying to not have it. But, like I said, but $35 I can deal w it. I've hiked (day hikes) with this pack and it worked just fine for that too.

Got one a few years ago, and it was great!! the wet suit bag was water tight and I have to poor water out of it, and the news are not and got everything else in the bag wet, you know iphones, leather wallets, books... THINGS YOU WANT DRY ALL THE TIME. So ya, like Microsoft Windows 7, more of a down grade than an upgrade from the previous point packs of a couple years ago!!!
