I bought this bag primarily to commute to and from work with, so that I have a decent bag to jog with on days that I might want to do so.

This bag is INSANELY light, and even packed with everything that I bring to and from work, I barely feel it on my back.

I can fit 3 sets of keys, my wallet, and my phone in the small upper pocket; 2 bottles of water/juice/etc in the mesh side pockets; and in the main pocket, I have managed to pack my work clothes when I changed into my jogging shorts/top (dress pants, short sleeve, and bra), along with a Medela 4-bottle cooler pack and Ameda Pump Kit, a kindle, and my ipod.

I haven't had this bag out in any rain harder than a sprinkle yet, so I can't attest to how leak proof it is, although I do know that the condensation from my water bottle doesn't appear to leak through the bag. I have read reviews from other sites indicating that the Speed Lites aren't terribly rain resistent, so if you plan to jog in the rain frequently you may want to invest in a rainproof cover for your bag.

I bought this for short hikes and it is perfect very lightweight, with comfortable straps, and just the right size. The tapering shape allows for full arm movement so you hardly know it's on your back. I've also used it with a Camelbak Antidote reservoir which works very well.

I carry this backpack everyday to work instead of a purse. It holds my 16oz nalgene in one of the side mesh pockets and a similar sized bottle of iced tea in the other side mesh pocket. The small zipper pocket fits my small wallet, ipod touch, and some other small items. The large compartment fits my lunch (if I choose not to carry a separate lunch cooler), gloves, hat, and other small items.

I also use this backpack for good weather, half day, less than 5 miles round trip hikes. For that I can fit a 16oz nalgene in each mesh pocket, a 1L playtpus in the internal sleeve, lunch, a rain coat, and first aid kit. I have removed the "hip belt" as I find it getting in the way for my purposes. I would find the hip belt useful for bike riding or climbing. One thing to note is that the exit port for your hydration bladder tube is only over the right shoulder so if you are dead set on having it over your left shoulder this might not be the pack for you. I love how the tapered design and simple frame make it feel like I have nothing on my back.

I chose this pack over the 10L and 20L versions of this pack because the 10L would be a tight squeeze for a rain coat and lunch and the 20L had compression straps that I feared would get in the way of the side mesh pockets and I just didn't need them.

The TAC Force Web Tac Utility Backpack differed enough from the product description/features & photos enough to have me lower the score.

I needed a tactical/combat level backpack, unfortunately the differences make it not suitable for this task.

Overall it appears to be a good product it just depends on individual needs.

Also this is not the best price for this item or similar items (Which usually includes the hydration bladder). I just needed it quickly & Amazon is reliable for that so I paid a little more for this type of product.

OK lets start with the how it differs from the photo/description & more specific info on some mentioned. Which is not all bad.

It appears the original design was for tactical/combat purpose but now it became more a hybrid suitable for a Good Day, School, Hiking Pack w/ Removable Internal Frame but not Combat.

This is a great pack, large enough to stow enough gear for a short camping trip, this is what I plan on using my pack for, the only down fall I see for this pack is the smaller sized zippers on the smaller pockets, the compact version of this pack has large zippers all the way around.

This luggage set is a FANTASTIC product for kids. I used to have to carry my kids luggage through the airport in addition to my own. Now my kids insist on carrying their own luggage. My son has Archie Alien and my daughter has Percy Penguin. They are great quality, hold enough kid clothes for a trip and have a matching backpack that fits snugly inside when not being used. My kids put their carryon things in the backpack and wheel their luggage. The cases are super quality and we have had no issues with anything breaking on them after much use (when we are not travelling, they use the case to hold their toys and they use the backpacks all the time). All in all, a really unique, practical and fun product that any kid would love! We have gotten stopped in the airport numerous times asking where we found them! I highly recommend!

I just ordered the Percy Penguin Travel Buddies Luggage Set for my son (4 y.o.) & we put it to the test this weekend on a trip to California. Very impressed with the quality & how the suitcase rolls. I ordered the Lola Ladybug luggage set. The product does not match Amazon's description. I received a 16" suitcase & 12" back pack. The product is LISTED as 18" suitcase and 13" backpack. 16" vs 18" suitcase is a considerable difference when dealing with air travel and trying to pack as much as possible in a carry-on. It was very disappointing to receive the smaller suitcase. The design is nice but the product should be listed accurately so people receive what they think they are ordering.

I just got my backpack yesterday(ahead of delivery date), and this backpack is ROOMY!!!! I can carry my paramedic bk(it's like 2 dictionary's in one), my workbk, and 2 other textbks for class along w/ my laptop and all of my other stuff for class that I carried in a different bag. Now I carry everything I need in ONE bag!!!!! Get this bag if u need a lot of room for bks and all u school stuff!!!!!

I've had this backpack since mid-August 2010 (so almost 11 months).

While it's decently roomy, and has plenty of pockets one of the shoulder straps is starting to separate where it's stitched to the top of the bag. The opening for a headphone cord to pass through from the "media pocket" wasn't even cut open on mine. And, the second pocket (below the media player pocket) is ripped, so anything you put in that pocket falls inside the bag.

Finally, the "phone pocket" is too small for most phones.

On the plus side, it has a decent amount of padding for a laptop.

Good idea, fair execution, terrible quality. It may hold up a bit better in a corporate environment, but definitely not in a school environment (where you're lugging textbooks around all day).

I shopped around for a backpack that would protect my laptop and be easy on the wallet. I believe I found it in this backpack. This backpack has lots of storage compartments, securely holds your laptop in place and had a good bit of padding to help keep your laptop safe. It has nice padded shoulder straps with pocket to hold your cell. It is very well made and comes with a 5 year limited warranty. I got it at a nice price however I did see it $10 cheaper a week or so before I made my purchase. The price I paid was still very reasonable compared to the prices I saw in local stores and other on line retailers. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a well constructed, well padded, well designed and reasonably priced backpack. The only negative I have with the backpack is the sewn on MICROSOFT logo on the back. I removed the one on my backpack. I didn't want to advertise to any thieves the fact that my backpack had a laptop inside instead of maybe just books and junk. I know if someone is going to steal a backpack on the chance it has a computer inside I sure didn't want to give them a heads up to grab mine first. Don't know if that would make any difference but by removing the "HERE TAKE ME" label on the back was my attempt to keep my belongs safe.

I purchased this backpack for my sons 2012 school year ... He had been asking for it all summer... Even though it was pricey I thought he would really enjoy it. I always try to order my son something different for use at school, so he doesn't have the typical wal-mart backpack like everyone else, plus, Pokemon stuff is kind of hard to find. I bought backpacks on Amazon in the years before with absolutely no problem. This backpack, however, was not the same! This backpack is VERY cheap feeling. It looks cute, but within in one week of my 3rd grader using it, it fell apart. One seam busted completely out (and he doesn't even carry textbooks or anything heavy) and both zippers broke and we fixed them twice, but after that, there was nothing left to do. This is garbage, unless you are just looking for something to pack for sleepovers, I would not suggest buying this. This backpack had to be thrown away, and I never throw things away! But I couldn't even salvage this anymore. :( Shabby quality for something with that high of a price!

Crocodile Creek Dragon Backpack

We purchased this for our son starting preschool after he chose it from all the others he saw on the web. It is much brighter in color than the pictures, which was a nice surprise, and it actually fits a four year old. The straps adjust so that the backpack stays on him, and it is a much better size than most of the backpacks for children. The front opens with a few pockets for supplies, but it doesn't have lots of little pockets that pre schoolers and kindergarten kids really don't need. It's made of washable, wipeable material which we are sure we will need come school time. Overall, a great choice.

Has held up pretty well this year for my kindergartener. Very easy for him to zip and unzip and love the pencil pockets in the front for easy access to smaller items. Good purchase overall.

This backpack is the perfect size for a kindergartener or first grade student. I had thought it was going to be somewhat small but it was a much better fit than the full sized backpack that this replaced. The backpack is sturdily constructed and the straps are nice and wide ensuring a more comfortable fit.

As for aesthetics I love that this backpack is so different from all the others at my child's school. The colors are bright and vivid, making my son easy to spot. It is also nice to have one item that is not a character or theme from TV.

I LOVE this bag. I am buying a second one for when I wear this one out! It holds it all. Currently mine is holding, a SLR Camera, 2 lenses, 2 notebooks 1 full size, a Kindle (thank you Amazon), 2 pairs of sunglasses, my make up, my wallet and still has planty of room for a cat (which put herself in there). It's comfortable to carry and wear for long walks, bike rides etc. And will do all of this without being completely in the way! It hugs your body and is only as big as you make it and even full fits by your feet without getting in the way. Plus, and this is a big bonus, the price is right! Under $30. Urban Outfitters and other places had a similar bag, for almost $200. Ridiculous!

The bag is very stylish and perfect for the minimalist. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are three internal pockets for sorting gear. Two medium sized pockets, and one large one. The D-rings on the outside are perfect for strapping extra gear. The strap on the top of the bag is perfect for carrying the bag when its not on your shoulders. The disadvantages of this bag are the cumbersome buckles that take a while to open/close. My biggest issue with this bag is that there is no internal structure or frame. If the bag is empty, its very limp.

I ordered this rucksack after previewing at least ten others. I was really worried about buying one that was strong enough to hold books, a computer, extra shoes, or anything else I need. It arrived on time and I fell in love with the weathered and official look of it. It's large enough to hold textbooks, gym clothes (including shoes), a computer and anything else you might want to carry around. It is also strong which is a big concern if you want to use it everyday. This holds up and looks awesome. A great buy.

Swiss Gear SA1176 Black Backpack

Backpack empty is really light and expands for all kinds of sized objects. I can carry my netbook, laptop, or leftovers from my lunch without any issues. Pockets for keys and easy to reach objects were intuitively designed and placed for easy reach. Color really attractive with the grey/black. Very happy with my purchase.

Personally, the first time I received this bookbag, there's a hole in the upper left hand corner. So I returned it and got a replacement. After checking over the details of the bag meticulously, I was relieved that there's no apparent problem with the worksmanship of the second bag.

The bag itself has three compartments: 2 in the front and 1 large compartment in the middle. The padding in the back is very comfortable but I noticed after 1 day of use the threads of the padding starts to stick up and look un-new.

The main compartment can fit one 1-inch binder, and around 4 books, in addition two pencil cases. There's two side pockets on each side, which you could probably put your umbrellas, water bottles, etc.

The actual product actually looks better (in my opinion, at least) when you see it. The cement gray isn't as distinct as it is online, and consequently the gray makes the bookbag not as dull, but not strange in the least.

Attractive in the grey/black, and resonably well made, considering the price I got it for. As noted in the description, this isn't specifically made for laptops (no internal sleeve), but it can certainly hold one.

Two cons....the bottom of the backpack isn't padded, and the padding in the shoulder straps sounds crunchy, so they may wear out over time.

Happy with what I got it for, but had I paid more, it would probably be a 3 star review.

I got this backpack because i wanted a smaller bag to take to school. It looked really good online, and seemed the right size. The price was pretty good for what you get, but because i live in Australia, the postage added significantly to the price. The bag came sonner than i expected, which was really good.

I got the Sierra design, which i LOVE :) so, the bag is pretty average. Unlike the Garden backpack or the Prom one (which were others i was considering) it doesnt have extra pockets inside the main ones. The big main compartment is just that: no laptop sleeve or anywhere to put the little things in. The smaller front pockets is the same, and things get lost really easily in there. the "sunglasses" pocket is quite good, though! it is small, but large enough to fit my phone, ipod, gum, student Id, lip balm etc, and i don't have to worry about mmy phone or ipod getting scratched because it is lined with fleece. THe only problem with this is that the fleece is REALLY thin, so i'm not sure how long it will last.

The fabric seems durable, although the poakctes aren't lined. This backpack is overall quite good thoughm, it fits all my school books, lunch box, water bottle, pencil case in the bottom of the main compart,ent, and then there is room for a jumper or something on top of that! The smaller front pocket is also larger than it first appeared, and i can put my umbrella, wallet, and heaps of things in there! The straps are pretty good. They are thinner than i expected but comfortable and don't dig in to shoullders or chest.

I love the way the bag feels and it brings everything in close to you, and somehow makes things seem lighter than my old backapack.

I recommend getting this backpack if you're not really fussed about all the little things I mentioned in the review. If you carry around heapss of little things and like to have pockets and pencil holders in your bag, this isn't the backpack for you.

But overall, a fairly good purchase! thanks Amazon :)

I wasn't sure what to expect with this backpack since the price is kinda high. However, I was surprised with the quality. This seems like a very durable, waterproof backpack. The fabric is a cotton plastic type bend that is tough and thick. There appears to be a rubber underside to the fabric which is nice. The Laptop sleeve and sunglass pouch are lined with not "fleece" but more of a furry black lining. It is furry and soft, but rubs off a little when I stick my cell phone in the sunglass pouch. The laptop sleeve will definitely fit a 15in laptop (and protect it well). I like this back pack a lot, there are a lot of nice pockets. The only annoyance is that the zippers are hard to pull. The flap that covers the zipper kinda gets in the way for quick efficient zipping. In addition, the white zipper in the front pocket is VERY hard to pull. I need to use two hands. It seems like the zipper is super thick or something which makes it hard to pull. Hopefully it'll not break on me. Overall this is a good quality bag. The size is also quite nice. It fits all my stuff. I was a little worried it would be on the small side, but it's average backpack size.

Really liked this pack but do consider it is a relatively small backpack. Looks great and seems quite durable though.

Brooks Saddles Barbican Messenger Bag

Some things to think about.

1. It doesn't look as elegant/professional in real life as in the pictures.

2. Brook's photographers are very good.

3. I trust it's construction much more than a north face backpack, but slightly less than a proper timbuk2 bag.

4. my roommate took one look at it and said "that's a liberal art's professor's bag"

5. that's okay becuase it can carry a semester's worth of text books every day and manage to look only better after a year.

6. which is what you really need it for.

After a lot of research and prolonged decision, I finally bought this Brooks Barbican bag from Amazon.com. The bag looks very nice. The leather shoulder strap is quite stiff but really add coolness to the bag. Somehow the real bag is more of Khaki colour not very white like shown on official Brooks England website. The image on Amazon.com is even more misleading because it shows the white leather version, which is a rare model (and much more expensive).

The canvas bag is made in China according to Brooks England website but it does not matter as the built quality is excellent. My only small complaint is that the bag is quite heavy (1.5 kg.) but given the leather, thick fabric straps and thick canvas justify the weight.

One strange thing is the size. I was suspecious when I received the bag because I ordered the medium size. The bag looks like a large size. So I made the measurement. It has 42 cm. wide and 30 cm. tall.

From official Brooks England website:

the medium is 34 cm. wide and 30 cm. tall.

the large one is 43 cm. wide and 33 cm. tall.

So mine looks like a hybrid model.I can't return it because I am in Thailand now and it's gonna be tricky to exchange for a new one.

The photo posted is not the product that the seller delivered. I bought a luggage that (almost in the photo) was hard and shine material. I received I poor luggage with soft material, poor complement, like other luggage that are for sale at Amazon.com, from other sellers, and I decided to buy this one because the photo that you present.

Unfortunately, I live in Brazil and now, when I receive by my mother my order, I can do nothing about that, because in fact what I wanted is give to you, FAB, back this poor and different quality of product.

Never more. This seller is not good for the image of amazon.com.

Anyone can see the picture of the web page and the product I received is completely different.

I was expecting this to be the size of an adult pilot suitcase. It's the size of a small child's backpack. You could not use it as a suitcase. It can hold maybe one outfit. I have never felt so disappointed buying something on Amazon....and I buy a lot of stuff!

I bought this case to use as a carry on for my son when we travel. It holds more than I thought and is easy for him to maneuver through the airport and onto the plain. And he loves it!!

I bought this as a gift for my sons 3rd birthday. I purchased the smaller one as he's a toddler and does not need (nor is big enough) for a full size backpack. It came in the mail today and it's not a backpack at all. It does not have straps. It came with a messenger style strap that attaches to the very top which makes it cumbersome to wear. It did not mention this at all in the description. I am not happy with this purchase.

I received this as a gift for the birth of my new born son. I even asked for it on a wish list. I have worked in construction and thought it would be a great thing to walk around with when I was with my son. But when I received it I realized the quality wasn't what I expected. The leather is thick but not very supple, the compartments were big enough but the main space has no way to secure it.

Great gift for a guy who works in construction. I filled the bag with all sorts of items that were included on the bridal registry (wipes, ointments, bottles, diapers) even some outfits and toys. As a joke I put in some air freshener and a face mask. Then I wrapped it in plastic with a big blue bow everyone at the shower loved it and my nephew laughed and laughed.

I wouldn't use it as a backpack for daily use because the straps look flimsy and weak. I would recommend using it as a day pack when you are travelling or just on a day out with friends around town.

UPDATE; 2/4/2013

The tags on the zippers keep sliding (getting tighter) and they are starting to wrinkle. I will upload a picture as soon as I can. They look as if I were to pull kind of roughly, they would rip right off. Also the brown pocket thing is kind of fading a little.

The bottom suede part of the backpack is not the material you find on backpacks like JanSport. It is much much cheaper quality on this backpack. Considering the price though, I wasn't expecting too much any way.

I have been using this backpack daily, since I've gotten it though and my books haven't gone through the bottom, so that's a good sign.

There is a bit of threading coming out inside the backpack though so I'm still not quite convinced that I should recommend for you to use it on a daily basis.

For a 16 dollar backpack you get what you pay for!its not that big but i can fit about a few 1 inch binders and notebooks. the quality is not something that will last you a long time but probably enough to get through the school year. The shipping was pretty fast exactly 2 weeks for me! the only real problem i have are the straps...I feel they are really flimsy. But overall pretty good
