I know another person said the bag was too small however it has been just right for us. When I opened the box for this item I almost thought they had shipped me the wrong bag. First of all the color is much much darker than the cute pastel blue/pink shown in the product image. Second, the stitching in the front between the two colors was so awfully executed I wanted to rip it out. It's also much smaller than most standard diaper bags. I bought it after checking out my local stores and not finding one that I liked and having had good experiences buying online based on customer reviews, I thought I was gonna get a better deal and product online, plus it's from Gerber. For the same price you can get a much better product elsewhere. I buy products on amazon on a regular basis and this is the first time I felt compelled to write something, so think twice before buying this bag.

This diaper bag is pretty small. I am using cloth diapers and I think it will be too small to be convenient. The quality is average. The portable changing pad that came with it is really too small to be of much use, so you'd probably still need to buy a separate one. The little cooling bag doesn't appear to be very well insulated. If you are looking for a cheap, smaller diaper bag, this would be fine. Not so hot for cloth diapers, or if you want a larger bag.

Recieved the product, my daughter was so excited. Until she placed her books in the backpack and attempted to put it on the starp broke. Just that quickly. I was so heartbroken. She was so eager to show off her backpack at school. will not order from this vendor again.

i have a suggestion, if this bag is 1" more long, and 0.5" more high, it should be great, and i will buy it again.

The objective was a stylish, slim, multi-use portfolio that can carry documents, files folders and a mini-laptop. This totally filled the bill! Light and wieldy, my experiences at banks and government offices were elegantly carried out. Two pockets, front and back, handle a considerable number of documents and adequately cushion a laptop from damage. A center zippered compartment protects miscellaneous items. (Do not use for breast pump though. Security scanners can't decide if it's a lethal weapon!) Also outside compartments for ready-accessed materials. Can't beat this!

Update: June '13: Back from international trip, packed laptop, smartphone, speaker, mouse+pad, many connection wires, paperback, documents etc. Briefcase expanded nicely to accommodate all. Plus, slid handily under seat with room for feet. Airport inspections, just a snap. Really like this bargain briefcase.

I have tried many many diaper bags. It was hard for me to spend anymore money on them, especially one that is $80, but i thought i would give it a try. I have a 2 yr. old and an 8 month old so i have to carry 2 sets of diapers, 2 change of clothes, snacks, drinks, baby food, plus my things, wallet, phone, and many more things. Everything fits in it perfectly and i love that it is very organized! (I hate digging for diapers etc....) Another plus is that i don't find it very heavy. Yes its heavier with ALL the stuff i put in it, but for as big as it is its really not that bulky! The only thing i don't like about the bag is that when you set it down it leans to one side (the side with the 3 pockets)! I wish it would just stay upright! Other than that i love this bag, i love the space, the color, the organization, the diaper changing pad and it looks stylish!

As a mother of 3 small children, I was looking for a diaper bag that I could put everything I need in it and it would last me a really long time. So I came across this one, was reluctant of the price but I figured you would get what you pay for and get a higher quality product. The very little good I have to say about this bag is that it does have many pockets of various sizes and the bag itself is a good size. However, when it arrived, I thought after looking it over that it looked surprisingly cheap but decided I would give it a chance. Bad idea. The main zipper broke after ONE WEEK of use! Some of the seams have already started coming apart. The material that the bag is made out of and the zippers are extremely cheap looking/feeling. SO disappointing. I really wanted to love this bag. Do not let the price tag fool you like it did me. I have had an Eddie Bauer ($29) for years and have never had any problems whatsoever, I just needed more room. Skip Hop Duo Double Deluxe is NOT the way to go. I do not have any experience in other Skip Hop products but as for this bag, do not waste your money. Amazon customer service was great though!!

I am cloth diapering three little ones and this bag is perfect. Print is not boy or girl or baby whig I love. There are enough pockets for three kids. The mom pocket is sooooo convenient. The stroller clips are fantastic. So far I have not seen a downside to this bag.

Timbuk2 Q Laptop Backpack

I purchased the Timbuk2 Q in black (w/ neon yellow logo, not the black and pink version pictured here) and have been using it for about 1 month.

I am very happy with this purchase and will recommend others to purchase this bag for daily commute with a limited number of things to carry. If you need to bring gym shoes and other large items, consider the Timbuk2 H.A.L.

Simple Black with Neon Yellow Logo:

I have the black with neon yellow logo version in this version everything is black, inside/outside the only thing not black is the logo. Simple and no non-sense. The green combo looks pretty cool too, but I wanted something that can pass more professionally. I think the pink and black combo is new. For a limited time (December 2009) the brown version is on sale for $65 on the timbuk2 site.

Slim Size with Medium Capacity:

This is a mid size-slim pack. Does not look bulky at all and very comfortable even when stuffed. I generally use this pack for heading out to a coffee shop to study or general run around campus/school day. I generally only bring a laptop, power brick, personal items, a pair of large over the ear headphones, 2 novel sized books, and maybe a portfolio with some papers in there. It can hold more stuff, but if you have to carry a pair of shoes or large science text books this pack might be too small. Consider this pack a day pack where you can carry a laptop and some work with you but dont bet on bringing the text books from all your classes.

Laptop Compartment for 13" to 15" laptops:

13" laptops generally require medium size and up Timbuk2 bags. In this case I have a 13" intel macbook with room to spare in the laptop compartment. Once you zip up the compartment the laptop stays put so its doesnt flop or bounce around. I have read about people with 15" macbook pros and they say that its a bit tight but nevertheless fits in the laptop compartment. There is a "padding" at the bottom of the laptop compartment perhaps intended for extra protection but it shifts and moves I suspect when the compartment is zipped up it stays put. The zipper might be hard to get to when you swing the bag around, I still think its very convenient to get to the laptop and appreciate the swig around-ness.

Main Compartment:

Double zipper allowing you to position it for swing around access (positioned on the side) or at the top. This is a fairly deep compartment and will take to shoving of items pretty well. If you dont have much items or the pack is not very full things will fall to/bunch at the bottom.

Front Power Brick Pocket:

Fits a mac brick w/ or w/o extension cable and perhaps other small items as well. I use this pocket to hold an umbrella on rainy days so nothing else gets rained on as I scramble for the umbrella. The pocket tapers making for a "vertical" messenger bag feel and perhaps also for swing around access. Note when packing This pocket is not gusseted so it will take up space (although as a separate partition) from the main compartment.

"Command Center" Compartment:

This is the smaller compartment which is like the flap of a messenger bag. There are lots of organization pockets in there but I would like to see more organization pockets in the main compartment. there is a "divider" that separates about 1/2 the compartment holding everything else in this allows for more stashing and not worrying about things falling out when you unzip. This is usually the space I have the most stuff jammed in (I have many small items hence I dont place them in the main compartment). When stuffed this space will press against the main compartment and act as a compression to hold things in the main compartment in place.

Swing Around Access:

Start practicing! When on the go you can swing the pack and get to things you need without taking off the whole pack. One side targets getting to your laptop compartment and front pocket, swing to the the other side for the main, power brick, and command center compartments.

When holding this pack by the side it looks like a messenger bag and you can easily access the command center or main compartment (both equipped with double zippers). As you carry the bag on its side the back straps dangle and cannot be hidden (tripping over the straps might be of concern for shorter people like me).

Oh yes, and a water proof bottom, exterior and zippers (well as water proof as zippers can be) resisting water is a staple of Timbuk2 products.

Fabric update -

Timbuk2 started using the super light weight "Mission6 Nylon Fabric" for the newer color combos including the Black/Pink combo. The "first" gen bags like the Brown/Black combo, black & yellow swirly, and dark/light green are made of Timbuk2's signature ballistic nylon.

I love bags, and particularly Timbuk2 bags. My wife and I have four between us, and they get a lot of of use, as everything from diaper bags to briefcases. Recently, I bought a Q laptop backpack because heavy shoulder bags were making me sore and uncomfortable, and the Arc'teryx Blade 15 that I tried didn't work (see my review of that bag for why).

The size and design of the Q are great. It even passes decently as a briefcase, which is nice for a lawyer and frequent presenter.

The problem is in the laptop compartment. As you can see in the picture I uploaded, the pad that is supposed to cushion the computer slides out of the way. It's easy to see why. Balancing a cube on a cylinder is inherently unstable, like logrolling. The pad is too stiff to do anything but slide out of the way. The unfortunate result is an uncomfortable ridge across my lower back, and the bag fails at the main thing it is supposed to do: protect my laptop.

I contacted Timbuk2 about the problem, and they said they know about the problem, but don't have a revised backpack available. They sent a couple of strap pads with the idea that I could shove them in there and make it work. So far, they are just making the problem worse.

While I love this bag, the fact that it fails at its primary purpose is a huge disappointment, and nearly a dealbreaker. I'm not sending it back; instead, I'm learning to constantly readjust my laptop. However, I am hoping Timbuk2 will fix the laptop pad problem and exchange my bag for the fixed version.

Commuting between NYC and Stamford, CT has really done a number on my shoulders as cute as my shoulder bags are. And while traveling, I finally twisted my right shoulder and said enough. I needed something that was still stylish but got the job done and would let my shoulder heal.

This Timbuk2 bag had exactly what I was looking for in a commute bag:

* stylish and sturdy

* small enough not to dwarf a 5'2" female

* big enough to fit my laptop, a couple of books, day-to-day gear and lunch (but if I bring breakfast and heels, I need another bag)

It was doing such a good job, that I decided to test it as my carry-on on a week-long business trip. Because some international flights back to the US are only allowing 1 carry-on/person, I was careful with what I packed. Result = fantastic!

* laptop compartment made it easy to pull out computer for security screening

* small pocket in the back was just the right size for my US currency and credit cards that I wouldn't need overseas but would at the US airports

* bottom compartment fit charger, mouse, and number pad

* main compartment fit 2 textbooks, a notebook, hat, mittens and some food for the plane

* everything else fit in the front compartment

Not to say there aren't any cons, but I think they're minor:

* there are certainly situations when I need more space (as mentioned above). also my duty-free purchases were not going to fit in the bag with everything else I packed

* lint also sticks to this thing like crazy, so be prepared.

* if you get the white/gunmetal/red combo, be prepared that things show through the white cover, so not a good place for sensitive materials/items

* the white material will obviously stain more quickly than some other colors. A Tide-To-Go stick in your bag might be handy if stains will bother you

Overall, I couldn't be more happy with how versatile this pack has been. It's more than worth the money.

It's a good bag, it has a lot of pockets and different spaces that you can use. However, it is not very big or comfortable. If you have a laptop in the laptop section it kind of restricts what you can take in the book section.

If you are a college or high school student and you need to carry a bunch of books and things with you, there are probably better choices out there with more space and that are more comfortable. If you are just a day to day user who just needs a nice laptop bag with a little more space, then this is probably for you.

I'm starting law school in the fall, so I needed a backpack that could withstand some abuse. I was looking for one that is relatively small, but with a large carrying capacity. I also wanted one with tons of pockets, because I love to keep things organized. I spent months (yes, I'm a huge dork) searching for the perfect backpack, and I ended up deciding on this. My final choices were a Dakine Prom Pack, The Brain Bag by Tom Bihn, Timbuk2 HAL and the Timbuk2 Q. Obviously, I chose the Q. It had the best reviews (I also went to Timbuk's website), it came in a color I liked--brown, and it wouldn't drown me in size. Once it arrived, I knew I had made the right choice. When I packed it full to capacity, it was still light on my back, because of the support strap across the front. It can fit everything I would need: all the contents of my purse, my laptop, my laptop cord, a huge textbook, a three-ring binder, three folders, and around a dozen pens/pencils. It might be a little small in size if you are a big guy. I had my husband try it on, and it looked tiny on him. But for a woman around 5'6'', it's perfect.

Osprey Stratos 26 Backpack

Amazing pack. Good storage options internal and external. This provides great flexibility to wherever you may wander. Pack is extremely stable once you tighten up straps. Has many bells and whistles I didn't even know about. A whistle built in to the chest harness buckle/clip. Walking stick, or trek pole holder on lower left, then another holder to left and lower so you can keep your gear out of your own way when not needed. Great pack for hydration needs. I used an older other brand hydration bladder, and had ice cold water for myself and others all day. The mesh back really keeps you cooler since there is good air-flow/space between yourself and the pack. Very light pack. Superb materials. Very thoughtfully designed pack. I now have two Osprey packs, and plan to get more to replace briefcases, gym bags, camera bags, etc. Go ahead and be adventurous.

I never write customer reviews, but this is the exception. I recently returned from a 6-day bicycle trip to Tuscany (rode from Florence to Siena; stopping along the way in Castellina, Radda and Greve in Chianti and San Gimignano) and since I didn't want to hire a firm to move my baggage, I looked for a suitable backpack. After exploring disappointing options from Ortlieb and a few others, I came across the Osprey Stratos 26 Backpack. By far, this is the *best* purchase I've made in recent memory! It was absolutely perfect for my bicycle trip. I was on a roadbike and after the first day, I never felt that I was wearing this pack. It molded perfectly to my back and it easily held 4 days of light clothing and a pair of shoes. Even tacking the numerous 10km climbs in Tuscany, the pack would remain snug on my back, never shifting and there wasn't anything "sticking" out into the wind. Moreover, on the last day of the ride, it rained in biblical proportions and with the integrated raincover, everything inside the pack was dry including my iPad. If you're looking for an excellent pack (good for bicycling and hiking), this is the one you want to buy; seriously.

This is the perfect laptop carrier. Neopreme material offer just the correct amount of stretch to fit laptopmousepad, & notepad in main compartment. The side compartment hold power cord, mouse, and usb HDTV adapter. The pocket in the shoulder strap is perfect for mp3 player and earphones.

Choice of size is important to understand that it's your size in addition to laptop. Whatever shirt size you wear choose same size back pack. My husband, main carrier of unit. is 6' 170#s and the large fits best to give him a little wiggle room for the straps. We also have a medium and although it fits him he prefers the comfort level of the large size.

Well worth ever penny we paid for it. Consider any of this product line for quality products.

The large Built NY backpack fits OK for me, I'm 5' 9-1/2" and weigh about 265 lbs.

The day after I got it, I tried putting my 15" unibody MacBook Pro with Golla sleeve in the main compartment and it was a snug fit. Seeing as this variation of the pack should be able to carry 17" notebooks as well, I reckon that if I put the MacBook Pro in without the Golla sleeve, it would be a nice fit. Thing is, if you want to put anything else in there with the notebook, you might, depending on the object, wind up scratching it or something. If this is not an issue for you, then no worries.

As for the side pocket for accessories, I was expecting like a little pocket that can contain power bricks, power cords, and some knick knacks but was pleasantly surprised upon closer inspection, to find out that the side pocket goes into a separate compartment (in front of the notebook) and is composed of pretty much the entire backpack and part of the lower straps. Nice. But as with the main compartment, if you put them in a water-tight plastic "sleeve" like I do, they will be a tight fit. If you put the items in one at a time without the sleeve and they fit nicely and don't really add much to the bulk of the pack.

The fit of the pack is nice and it hugs my sides and back real well, very streamlined. You can even secure the sternum strap if you aren't using it so it doesn't flap around and get caught on things.

As the title of this review says, it's a nice, minimalist pack and if you just want to lug around your notebook, some accessories and knick knacks, then this is the pack for you.

I've only had this backpack for about a month and I've been very gentle with it(as it houses my new macbook). Its tearing at the bottom corners at the seems. I like how the backpack looks, but I'm pretty disappointed in the build. I might be able to fix it, but I'm probably going to end up replacing it soon.

The first image you see of this bag makes it look like the strap is attached to the bottom right corner (looking at it face-on). Be sure to look at the other views before ordering. The strap is actually attached to the bottom LEFT corner and therefore the bag can only be worn on the right shoulder, slung over to your left side. This might work well for a lefty, but I find that, as a right-handed person, I can't get into the bag by sliding it around. I have to actually remove it completely to be able to access the pockets. My previous bag had the strap on the other corner and worked much better for me. Also, the pockets are deep, have no organizers, and little things get lost in them. The iPod pocket is a bit ridiculous: the earphone "jack" is just a hole for the wire to pass through; not helpful at all. It is well-constructed, and holds my Kindle, in a case, plus a number of other things like wallet, glasses, phone, etc. But the strap thing is so getting on my nerves that I'm going to have to buy something else and dump this.

We've purchased FUL products before and have been very satisfied, so when I read some of the poor reviews of this product, I had to really consider whether I wanted to take the risk or not.

So, let me say first, that this was what I expected. The bag I received was just fine no poor stitching, etc. The zippers are strong, the design well-considered, canvas material is thick, and the color is vibrant. Another winner from FUL.

These would be my suggestions to FUL for improving the design:

Needs small pockets (just as the description says, there are only 3 pockets). I would have liked more for SD cards, coins, etc. like their backpacks.

Would prefer to have ability to secure headphone cord to sling so the cord isn't loose between the pocket and my ears. Simple velcro would work great.

I purchased the 17 inch bag. The bag looks very nice so im glad about that. Its comfortable and the ipod pocket is a nice addition. NO laptop will fit in there. Also, there is no "elastic water bottle pouch." That was very upsetting. One of the reasons that i purchased this was to use it as a gym bag. Not a good idea... its too small. Im size 8(mens) and my sneakers barely fit. After that, only a shirt fits but no shorts. If you will use it to carry very small things then by all means purchase this bag but other than that; stay away. Also, The size is a lot smaller that what you would think(but thats my fault because the specifications are correct).

If you are getting it for that then its 3 stars. But if you will be a tourist somewhere, its a GREAT bag. I went to Euarope for 3 weeks and it worked wonderfully. Perfect for tourism. Not too small nor too big

I ordered 2 of these bags one for each of my daughters. I had started out searching for cases with memory foam and ended up ordering these based mainly on color selection and price. There is foam on either side but they are considerably thinner than I had anticipated. They do get protect the laptops frm bumps and jars and I suppose the lighter weight can be considerd a plus for a child to carry. Being thinner I am afraid they will not protect the laptops as well as a heavier foam might have should they get hit harder or stepped on.. They aren't made well, we have had them since christmas and the rubber pull tab has come off the side zipper on one already. They don't have any loose strings, etc. yet though. Had I seen them before hand I would have opted for a more durable case with thicker more dense foam. These cases are so open inside that the foam has no need to conform to the laptops and they slip to the bottom of the case when you pick them up. Bottom line I will choose another bag next time.

I had a reversible sleeve for my 13" notebook. Perfect fit. I love those reversible as you can use it Inside-Outside. The sleeve is washable, which is a plus for me. I would recommend the product.

I have an Inspiron 13", fit nicely to my laptop. I bought the blue one. I put the notebook into the sleeve and pretty much carry it in my backpack. Double protection!! zipper pocket is good for small item i guess. When u put cables, it looks little bulky, but for the price it is good product afterall.

As we found this sleeve by searching for XPS we assumed that 13" would be good for 13.3". We were wrong! The case looks smart and comes in a wrapper that states upd to 13.3" water resistant slim fit but alas it was too small for our XPS M1330 laptop and we are having to return it. This is very disappointing.

Much better quality than I had expected, it was actually really nice! My friend said she wanted me to get her son a Toy Story backback for his birthday. I remembered when I was trying to find a Cars backpack for my son, and how disappointed I was in the quality of what I found in stores. The zippers were usually super cheap and plasticky. So I just got my son a Land's End backpack, even though he was sobbing because he wanted the Cars backpack. I just couldn't stomach paying for something that gross and cheap. So I couldn't even find a Toy Story backpack in any store. I just picked whatever I found online at the last minute. Really, this backpack is nice! Just as nice as the Land's End backpack. It feels much more durable than just canvas. Zippers are nice. And it's the perfect size for a toddler, but still big enough to pack some toys, books, maybe pj's for a night at the grandparents.

Maxpedition M-2 Waistpack

I received my Maxpedition M2 case a couple of weeks ago. I used the MOLLE ties and added it to the side of my Maxpedition Lunada bag after seeing that setup reviewed on You Tube.

Like most Maxpedition products, it's well made and very functional so there are no complaints in that area.

The (sort of) issue I have with the M2 is that the front pocket (with the snap down flap) is pretty deep. I've tried four cell phones in the front pocket (HTC Inspire, LG flip phone, Samsung bar phone, and Blackjack) and found that none are easy to retrieve. The larger phones don't leave much room on either side for fingers and the small phones are "way down in there" and the pocket is too small for me to reach down into easily. I've ended up leaving my HTC Inspire in the pocket for now; the HTC has a cover on it and I've learned how to get a hold of the relief area around the camera lens in order to extract it.

I'm not putting this out there as a "negative" since many will have a different need or experience but it's information that I didn't come across before I purchased my M2.

This a great sized man purse that I added to the strap on my fatboy bag. It had to go on sideways but works well there. It is meant to be put on your belt which is a good option if you want to down size.

I travel frequently and carry a camera backpack with a laptop sleeve. While the backpack has sufficient capacity in it's top pocket for all my miscellaneous items, it's just one large pocket. Consequently, it can be a bit of a pain to retrieve the phone's charging cable and ear-buds which I often use when I get to the gate or my seat on the plane.

This pouch is about as small as it could be while still meeting my primary requirement which is to provide a place to keep my Galaxy S3 including its slim protective case. If you check the dimensional specs on the S3 and the front pocket of this items, you might conclude the front pocket of this item is too small. However, I am happy to report that is not the case. The sides are elastic and the top is adjustable. Consequently it fits with just enough sticking out the top of the pocket so that it is easy to remove the phone.

The pouch attaches to my belt so cannot be removed without some effort but since its contents are critical I view that as a positive. Removing my belt to go through security takes no more time than without the pouch, plus I can use the pouch as temporary home for items I normally keep in my pockets but must relocate as I go through security. I'd almost purchased one of the larger models or a fanny pack but am very happy I decided to try this one first.

It is hard to imagine a higher quality product. The material is very heavy duty. I have used and abused mine and there is no fraying or sign or wear. The zipper is not one of those cheap ones, it is top grade. I have never had any performance problems with it.

It has a nice wide belt loop. It will easily attach to just about any belt or pack.

The pouch is on the small side, which is what I wanted. I use it to hold a small survival kit. It holds everything with no room to spare. It would hold a cell phone or small camera, but not much else.

I was expecting this to be the size of an adult pilot suitcase. It's the size of a small child's backpack. You could not use it as a suitcase. It can hold maybe one outfit. I have never felt so disappointed buying something on Amazon....and I buy a lot of stuff!

I bought this case to use as a carry on for my son when we travel. It holds more than I thought and is easy for him to maneuver through the airport and onto the plain. And he loves it!!

It even allows me to put locks on the zippers on the front to keep out pickpockets while keeping things I need in the back pocket closest to me. I can even carry a bottle of water in it. I bought this bag, and I think that I paid too much for a bag that lost their seams in less than one week. It lost their seams in the mesh pocket for the bottle, and in the zipper of the half pocket.

The belt could also be improved so doesn't slip of its adjusted position.

This has turned out to be a great overall daypack; at first I thought it may be on the small side but the front zipper pocket expands out quite a bit and the side pockets are deep. The main pocket is great and carries what I need personals, wallet, sunglasses, flash drives, extra shirt or sweater water and a few other items. The waist belt is great and what I had been looking for as many daypacks now no longer have a good belt but just a thin strap. If you are carrying any weight this is the belt to have. Granite Gear is a great product and Amazon had a competitive price. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Overall a very nice backpack that is lightweight if you're going to go to the beach or around town however not a technical performance hiking pack. The hipbelt on these is just too stiff and too thick to properly sit atop your illiac crest and move with your body as you are hiking and climbing and the shoulder straps are just too stiff and thick as well. I originally bought this pack since I was having trouble finding a short torso ~30L daypack (I have a 15-15.5" torso length) with the proper support. The pack runs true to size in the torso length area but the thickness and stiffness of the hipbelt and shoulder belt prevent this from being a practical technical daypack for hiking and climbing. I ended up removing the hipbelt and don't use it. Also Granite Gear could do a better job designing the pack so that it is more tall and narrow rather than being like a school backpack which is short and fat where much of the load sits farther away from your body putting more strain on your shoulders and back. More gear attachment loops added to the inside would help as well to attach some of the heavier stuff to the inside top of the pack for better weight distribution (heavier items in a pack should go on top for the most comfortable fit). Overall, I have tried many many packs though and I would rate this one 3/5.
