I like to cycle but could never find a bag that fit my basketball (29.5 inches in diameter). With the ball in the bag, there's not much else that fits in the bag but what I love about this bag is that when you're wearing it, it doesn't feel like a basketball on your back; it feels like a regular bag. Very convenient and comfortable for cycling.

This bag does not fit a full size basketball. If that's what you're looking for don't bother. I eventually ordered a backpack instead.

Kidorable Space Hero Backpack

I ordered this backpack for my son who goes to daycare, it is the perfect size for him! He is about 32" tall and around 23lbs. I pack his water bottle, a snack box, a small toy, a book, and his stuffed animal and there is still extra room for two diapers and wipes if we're not taking along the diaper bag. This cannot be a school backpack, you won't be able to pack a notebook and a lunch box inside of it.

He LOVES his backpack and was so excited to find out it was for him when the package arrived and we opened it. The alien on the zipper adds a perfect touch and I'm also happy it is water proof. The only negative is that the inside is lined with some type of cheap muslin or gauze that seems as if it may rip at the seams.

Though the main storage area is a little small, you aren't going to find a better backpack for the price. I only have one complaint: I bought this as a replacement for the exact same model that I lost. However, this newer one isn't quite as high-quality as the older model. The old backpack had a water-resistant coating on the inside which I loved, and this newer one is just regular nylon.

I just received this backpack by Amazon Prime. First of all, the quality of this backpack is amazing. I was skeptical at first of how good this would be but I now have completely changed my mind. This is the perfect laptop carrier. Neopreme material offer just the correct amount of stretch to fit laptopmousepad, & notepad in main compartment. The side compartment hold power cord, mouse, and usb HDTV adapter. The pocket in the shoulder strap is perfect for mp3 player and earphones.

Choice of size is important to understand that it's your size in addition to laptop. Whatever shirt size you wear choose same size back pack. My husband, main carrier of unit. is 6' 170#s and the large fits best to give him a little wiggle room for the straps. We also have a medium and although it fits him he prefers the comfort level of the large size.

Well worth ever penny we paid for it. Consider any of this product line for quality products.

The large Built NY backpack fits OK for me, I'm 5' 9-1/2" and weigh about 265 lbs.

The day after I got it, I tried putting my 15" unibody MacBook Pro with Golla sleeve in the main compartment and it was a snug fit. Seeing as this variation of the pack should be able to carry 17" notebooks as well, I reckon that if I put the MacBook Pro in without the Golla sleeve, it would be a nice fit. Thing is, if you want to put anything else in there with the notebook, you might, depending on the object, wind up scratching it or something. If this is not an issue for you, then no worries.

As for the side pocket for accessories, I was expecting like a little pocket that can contain power bricks, power cords, and some knick knacks but was pleasantly surprised upon closer inspection, to find out that the side pocket goes into a separate compartment (in front of the notebook) and is composed of pretty much the entire backpack and part of the lower straps. Nice. But as with the main compartment, if you put them in a water-tight plastic "sleeve" like I do, they will be a tight fit. If you put the items in one at a time without the sleeve and they fit nicely and don't really add much to the bulk of the pack.

The fit of the pack is nice and it hugs my sides and back real well, very streamlined. You can even secure the sternum strap if you aren't using it so it doesn't flap around and get caught on things.

As the title of this review says, it's a nice, minimalist pack and if you just want to lug around your notebook, some accessories and knick knacks, then this is the pack for you.

I've only had this backpack for about a month and I've been very gentle with it(as it houses my new macbook). Its tearing at the bottom corners at the seems. I like how the backpack looks, but I'm pretty disappointed in the build. I might be able to fix it, but I'm probably going to end up replacing it soon.

I love Timbuk2 products and feel that they are some of the most robust bags out there. When the Ram design came out, I loved the idea of a convertible backpack/messenger bag that looked more urban. I bought the first Ram in mid-February 2012; by early March, the backpack straps were tearing off at the shoulder attachment points. I notified Amazon, and the Returns department immediately sent out a replacement bag. Well, it is just May 4, and the second bag is showing the same failure mode. Note that I wasn't even loading the bag that much (small laptop, couple of notebooks, pens). I just spoke with Amazon Customer Service, who immediately took care of the return shipping (thanks Stevie!). I am returning this bag and shopping for a different one. I'm very disappointed, as the design was perfect for me. I'd be interested to see if anyone else has had the same issues.

I bought this as a gift for someone who needed an everyday work and sometimes travel bag basically a briefcase to carry papers, occasional books, pens, etc. or various travel carry-on items. Will be carried everywhere by hand, not messenger-style.

The requirements were specific and this is one of very few bags that fits them:

Tuck-away backpack straps, duffel-style shoulder strap and grab handle this one has all the carrying options.

Not too large (even smallish messenger bags are too big) this one fits comfortably on your back. It could carry a midsize laptop too, though it's not being used for that.

Durable previous cheaper bags, while they worked ok, wore out, buckles gave way, threads tore. This one is well made, carrying points won't give way unexpectedly.

Reasonably attractive the design is basic, clean, and color combination is subdued but not drab black, like many such bags.

Price is on the high side like all Timbuk2 products but I think it will outlast, outperform, and look better than cheaper options.

I purchased a Ram bag in February 2012 to use and really liked the ability to convert it form a messenger to a backpack. I travel frequently and like using it as a backpack when I am on the road. After using the bag for 3 months I bought another for a co-worker (I run an IT department) and they have also had good luck with it. For the past 5 months we have been issuing this bag to our sales team and they have been extremely happy with the bags as well. So far no wear issues.

I would say that the bag is expensive and the materials may not be quite as good as is typical for a Timbuk2 bag, but we still haven't had any issues with the 9 we have.

I tried really hard to like this bag. I've been using multiple Timbuk2 products since 1998 and I'm quite disappointed by this bag. I know and appreciate the approach of this bag--backpack/messenger hybrid--but the materials, quality and build are really not worth the 130 that it's retailed at.

Eagle Creek Luggage Travel Bug Backpack

First of all, I love Eagle Creek products: good quality, lots of nice details. They've been in the business of making good travel/carrying gear for a long time and it shows.

I bought this for the current-gen iPad and was not terribly careful noting the dimensions. I think saying there's a space for the water bottle on the side is a bit misleading: there's no way any sized bottle fits in there, and once you have that as a baseline for the rest of the size, you might make the same mistake I did and think it's a bit larger than it is.

It is *just large enough* for an iPad, and frankly the interior pocket is not quite large enough to fit 8 1/2x11" sheet of paper. (I had to carry a handful of papers and had to trim the folder carrying them down to exactly the paper size, including cutting off the tab and slicing off the top/sides. The folder/papers still gets bent in the corners and I have to shake and adjust the folder in the bag to make sure it's sitting all the way on the bottom. I can live with it, but that's to give you an idea of the overall size. And it does feel a little silly negotiating around items of such an obvious size. I mean, other than a fanny pack or clutch that's obviously meant to be small, why would you make something *almost* big enough for an obvious thing people want to carry?)

That said, it's a nice *but very small* backpack.

This backpack will fit an ipad + a thin summer sweater + a few other small items. It has a bottle pocket on the side that fits my slim thermos. It has another pocket on the other side that I haven't quite figured out the intended use for. Earbuds were suggested. My only complaint: the front outside pocket doesn't really have the right organization for money. It does have credit card slots, a key ring, a pocket for glasses, a pen slot. It just doesn't have a pocket wide enough for bills. An annoying oversight, so I just fold my money and put it in the small zippered pocket inside the pack. There is a main space inside the pack, the tablet pocket which has a little padding behind it, and the small zippered pocket which I stuff bills into. I usually look for an exterior back pocket which this pack doesn't have, but what it does have fills my needs.

The size is the same but this new one suits me better because it did not have the line zipper at the front , but have a bigger compartment similar to the bigger eagle creek bag that you can zip. The older one has 2 compartment which is very slim, therefore I cannot put bulky things into it. But the new model , I can put thicker things in it such as Tupperware water bottle the flat type which is 1litre in size. It fits snugly . The older bug bag unable to do so as the compartment division is different. I use it daily and I love it .

I am really satisfied with this bag except the strap should be thicker and longer . As now it's just nice to carry around my shoulder but I cannot loosen it . If I wanted to take out my things I need to unhook off my shoulder to take my things out , unlike my bigger eagle creek bag , which has longer and thicker strap which is comfortable to carry for hours. Deduct 1 star for this.

Kelty Women's Redtail 26 Daypack

I really wanted to love this backpack. It's made of what appear to be nice, sturdy materials. The fabric doesn't feel cheap at all, and is a good thickness. The padded straps are super soft and cushiony. The color scheme is really nice, the carabiner loops are well placed, and I love how there are handles at the top and bottom to make it easier to grab the bag. The pockets on the inside of the bag are also well thought out. I have a bag from another similar manufacturer, and their bags are strangely narrow and deep. Kelty's has good dimensions, and isn't too big or small for a day pack. The sternum strap is a little higher than men's bags (much more comfortable if you're on the busty side), and it has a removable waist belt. And to top it off, the bag is light weight, at just under 2 lb. (They do not claim that this has a laptop sleeve. It's a hydration sleeve good for keeping a bladder in there when you're hiking. There's no padding at all, so your laptop will not be protected.)

I really wanted to keep this bag, but I had to return it because for some reason, the back panel of the bag would not lie flat against my back. It's made of what appears to be a plastic panel. Kelty has padded portions along it to create an "airflow" along your back which I'm sure is useful while hiking, but the core of the back panel is a plate of plastic. I put in my normal day's carrying load--my netbook (yes, I still have one of those), two small books, a notebook, and a few papers along with pens, pencils, and phone. There was plenty of room in the back to put in much more. The weird thing was that the back panel actually concavely warped, and and pulled the bag away from my back. It was completely bizarre considering how well made the rest of the bag is. I lightened the load, but still the same problem. When the bag was empty, it lay flush against my back.

I cannot understand how the rest of the bag is so well made, but the back panel could be so poorly constructed.

I really wanted to keep this, but I sent it back. I can't have my bag pulling away from my back. Had the back panel been functional, I'd have kept it and given this bag 5 stars.

In my rating, I added an extra star because of the rest of the rest of the bag's construction.

I received this as a gift from my husband. He said I needed another "pack" because I've been using our Redwing 3100 for a few years and it always looked like I was ready to leave on a multi day trip. Although for a guy the 3100 may seem like a decent size, it was always too bulky and overwhelming for day to day stuff with the kids (traveling, pool, beach etc..) We are headed on a parent's only trip and he got this for me as a gift since we will both need separate packs for our trip. It is just the right size for my frame. Where I had extra room before, I'm now packing it right and it feels great for "running" around. Kids towels, extra clothes, wallet, cell phone and iPad fit great without the extra bulk. It's more the size of what I would think as a college backpack, but works great for what I need and do. I'm looking forward to our trip since it will carry what I need and not be overpacked, but not under packed either. Overall, it's Kelty construction, same material, but without the added features of some of the larger packs (no optical case or the long side pockets like on the 3100). It's definitely a day pack since I couldn't imagine going overnight with this, but for traveling or a day trip, it more than adequate and comfortable too! I recommend it if you are looking for the above qualities. If you wanted something more substantial and you're a woman, I would recommend the Kelty Redwing Womens Pack which has the same features as our Redwing, but the fit of the Redtail.

Agree with the reviewer who returned it because of the concave back. I thought the charcoal colour was very nice, the construction sturdy, enough but not too many functional straps and buckles. However, the way it bends away from your back (even with hard objects like a laptop and books inside the back sleeve) doesn't make it good for carrying heavy loads. I know a couple of brands do this sort of anti-sweat construction, but it's not for me.

I had the opportunity to review The Adventurer, a rolling travel duffle that has all of the features of a top-of-the line piece of luggage, for a lot less! This large, black and silver suitcase is made from ballistics grade polyester and has a lightweight, durable polyethylene frame which not only helps the bag retain its shape, but also allows it to stand upright on its own without any support. This way you can access your belongings without having to lay it down, lean it or prop it against something. Except for the back side, it is a soft-sided suitcase, not hard, and the material reminds me of a very well-made backpack.

It is the perfect size for both me and my husband, with a roomy interior, plenty of multi-size pockets on the outside, plus front compression straps with no-slip buckles so you can adjust the overall size of the suitcase. Both on the back side and the bottom are high impact rails to help protect contents and the shell when pulling it up stairs, plus there are other reinforced, durable impact points. The corners are also reinforced by fabric overlays and multiple stitching layers to protect against tearing or splitting. This suitcase is so well made, even the buckles on the compression straps are heavy duty and made to withstand 180 degree bending and very hot or cold temperatures like you would find in cargo bays!

I love our new Adventurer! It has all of the bonus features you find with very expensive luggage, it is just as well made and durable (if not more) and costs so much less! I absolutely LOVE this product. We live a few hours from family and travel to see them on occassion. I have a little suitcase for each of my 3 children. I was looking for something that I could put all of their things in so I would only have 1 piece of luggage to take with us. This product does the trick. I can fit it all in here. I just love the colors and all the features that it has to offer. It has a very sturdy handle so you can pick it up easily. There is a zipper compartment on the top of the bag. You un-zip it and inside is where the handle is located. You just press a button down on the handle and pull it up. Once you pull it all the way up, you will hear it click into place. To put it down, all you need to do is push the button and press down. Once it is all the way down you can then zip the compartment closed.

There is a compartment located on the top portion that can be un-zipped. I find it perfect for my kids' toothbrushes and such, as it all fits perfect in there.

i have traveled widely through two decades and this carrier tops all others - a durable big, open, easy-access void for you to fill that folds back into its slim envelope when not in use (and that envelope doubles as a soft briefcase when it is). the backpack-style strapping is the clincher for ease of carrying - particularly for the pack-man fast-walk through the terminal. if you didn't make a sausage of this bag, it still fits overhead (their smaller sizes are more obvious) and if you're ponying up $$ for checked bags, this is the one. i'm in love with the simplicity -canvas, zipper (with oversize pulls), straps and that's it.

We have purchased two of these bags and used them for our cars trips from Morocco to Spain and back. It is lightweight with sturdy construction and as you can see from the pictures it folds up very small. We have unfolded and folded this a number of times and have found it quite easy to do. The handles are nice and large; my wife has actually put this on her back a couple times when we use the duffel bags to pack bedding or towels and it fits quite comfortably on her back.

When this this is fully loaded, it could definitely be quite heavy and hard to carry. We also have purchased this for use on trips where we have purchased lightweight items during our trips and expanded for the return leg. Highly recommended

13 inch Bubble Emotions Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for most of MacBook, Acer, ASUS, D

Nice case, works well and seems to be good quality (We'll have to see after I've used it for a while). Like the other reviewers stated, it's not white, but offwhite, but the face in the middle is white, which I think is cool. I bought this for my Macbook Air and it fits well, there is a little extra room, but not too much. Great item!

I ordered this for my 13 inch macbook air, I ordered them at the same time and the computer has yet to arrive. However the case seems a little on the big side for a 13 inch computer. Also I thought that the case would be more of a white and it turns out to be more of a newsprint color. Both of these are minor flaws that do not make me want to return it, I'm sure once my computer arrives and I can see the sizes together I will be able to make a better judgement.

Victorinox Luggage Mountaineer Duffle

I purchased this knowing I would want it for traveling cross country and via airplane, but I bought it a week before my camping trip to try it out there first. It fit a ton of items several outfits of jeans, tees, and necessities, plus toiletries (including full bottles of shampoo and conditioner), brush, a couple sweatshirts, a pair of sneakers, and a few other miscellaneous items. I easily packed for a week-plus.

I love the design, the purple color isn't too girly, and the bag is easily packed on a shoulder even when fully stuffed. I am now looking at other products in the Victorinox Luggage line to expand my travel gear.

It looks cool, holds a lot, and is an overall great weekend bag. But, the shoulder strap hardware is plastic.... Can't help but think its going to break at some point.

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend for weekend trips out of town. The size is great and he loves that fact that it can convert to a backpack if needed. It's also very stylish and there are reflective bits on the top that make it easy to see in the dark.

Has a generous strap, zip closure, inside zipper pocket on back wall, 5"(approx) zipped back pocket with a neoprene type lining good for a cell phone. The front zippered 1/2 moon pocket has 3 slash pocket and stiff divider with 2 other pockets and bright yellow interior for seeing things in the bag easily.

Seriously. Who would have thought I would be this excited about a backpack? But this this is amazing. It distributes weight evenly and perfectly, so that I can walk the streets of London, cobblestone and all, and be just fine. Lined pouches for sunglasses are nice. The separate places for tablets and LTs is great. I have a large, full-frame camera and 400mm lens and I use the main compartment for them and carry my tablet in the other compartment. NO issues and it's over 10kg in weight. LOVE IT.
