Lewis N. Clark TSA 3 Dial Combination Lock

Good for travel in the USA, but elsewhere they won't have a TSA key so it will be cut off. The red color helps find my bag among a lot of black roll-ons. The large numbers on the lock help me open it easily. The lockwork is smooth. and the hasp is deep enough to easily attach several items.

This lock is well made, strong, easy to read and open, and nice looking. Would definately recommend it.

If you are older, these locks are hard to read the numbers. I have found others that were larger numbers and easy for old eyes to read. I think someone reviewed this lock as easy read....I didn't find it so but then I'm older than Methusla!

This is a solid bag. It fits well. 15L is perfect for carrying iPad, Nikon D7000 DSLR camera (with lens), 2 additional high quality lenses (with hoods), plus other knick-knacks for the camera. I will be using while traveling overseas, so I needed something a little more secure. Aside from the cut-through resistant fabric, the zippers can be latched in place to prevent someone from unzipping and dashing off with your valuables. The bag also allows you to clip one of the arms around a table or chair which is designed to discourage thieves from running by and grabbing your gear. I do not own RFID enabled credit cards or passport, but the bag does advertise protection from thieves that can scan for these devices.

I purchased this in anticipation of a trip to Italy this Sept/Oct. I used a similarly sized backpack, in place of a bag or purse, last time I was there and it was great as I cannot stand the feel of a cross body pack and also like the hands free wandering. After being advised, and warned by friends who had recently travelled through Greece and Italy, that pickpocketing and theft are at all time highs, I wanted to get something more secure. Quick shipping got it here within a week. Color is very accurate, the material is soft but feels substantial and you do not feel or see the internal mesh safety wire on the body or in the straps. The padding on the pack and the wide straps are very comfortable and stay in place even without the extra chest strap. It is even comfortable carried on one shoulder for short periods of time. I am only 5'5" and walk pretty fast; this sits nicely on the center of my back without bouncing or being too long and hitting the top of my butt! The two side pockets for water bottles are ample and accommodate fairly large diameter bottles. The security clasps on the zippers are easy to lock and not hard to open but you would definitely notice if someone was trying to get them open while you were wearing it it is a two handed operation. The small exterior zippered pocket has three compartments, one being RFID for passport or wallet with credit cards (wallet would have to be on the small side and it fits my passport with little room to spare). Only minor complaint would be that it would be a tad more accessible with two zippers creating one large flap instead of one zipper going 3/4 of way but not a big deal. The interior is spacious and my tablet easily fits in the padded pocket with room to spare. This medium size would accommodate a smaller laptop with no problem! The large interior is roomy and easily fits my SLR camera, extra lens, scarf, paperback book(s), small purchases, travel umbrella, rolled up rain jacket, and it wasn't stuffed full. Pretty high price point, but it appears well constructed and should last a long time. Will write update AFTER the trip this fall. Would recommend!

I recently had the entire Molle 2 pack and went camping with it for the first time, hiked up 1,500 feet and back and am here to tell you that i have had WW2 surplus packs that are more comfortable than the Molle 2 pack, it was only used for a short time and the plastic frame cracks very easily. I served in the Army and used Alice packs that were more suitable than the Molle 2. I also used to have the first Molle rucksack and it was much better off than the Molle 2. I would suggest not buying this pack and getting either a Alice pack or the first Molle rucksack, even a civilian padded pack is more comfortable. Dont let the looks fool you, brutal pack that has zero balance with any load and is only comfortable with less than 5 lbs of cargo. Hope this helps someone since i just went through this transition.

I thought this pack was comfortable. The shoulder straps are better than the ALICE packs. It has plenty of room with other additional items made for it that are great. However, the frame has much to be desired. For a heavy load this is not a good pack. There is a plastic frame that supports the pack. We used these in the invasion of Iraq. By the time we got back aboard ship, over half of the packs were cracked or in several pieces. We had to put in for an emergency resupply of gear to replace the broken ones. This will be a good for an easy weekend hike. But for heavy use long term, go with the newer military packs or even the older ALICE packs.

10.2" Mini Laptop Sleeve Notebook Neoprene Carrying Case with Match Skin Sticker Fits 8.9" 9" 10" N

The case really is pretty, but it turned out a lot darker than the skin. The skin has all the right colors--vibrant blues and the watch is a great color. I'm very happy with the skin, though I'm still smoothing out a few of the bubbles from application (my fault, not theirs). However, the case is just...lacking....oh, it's pretty, but it's much duller than the skin. The blue just looks a little tired and there isn't the same amount of contrast between the background and the butterflies, making it hard to make out the entirety of the picture. It's also a little thin, so while it does my job of protecting my net book in my purse, if you're looking for something that will protect your hardware in high impact instances, look elsewhere. To get a good feel of how much it will protect your technology, go to walmart and feel the inside of the cases with the handles. They are about the same, though this case is made with a better quality.

Monster High Umbrella

Item came in padded envelope but was luckily intact. Umbrella is from the Monster High theme which my younger daughters like very much. It is a functional umbrella that is about 30% smaller than a regular-sized umbrella that best fits/surrounds a small 6-8 YO child. The handle is made of a heavy type of painted plastic/wood material and is glued to the main umbrella shaft. The umbrella does not have a locking mechanism once extended/opened and uses a "tension"-type of lock where once it is opened, you extend the umbrella fully opened and it holds in place. My daughters have used it for school on rainy days, but is really suitable for "light" rainy days. This item is meant for younger kids and can withstand light/mild rain. If it is very windy with harder rain, I send my kids to school with more durable umbrellas. Otherwise, my kids like the novelty of this themed item and it does protect against light rain/low wind, but that is really all it probably can withstand. It is more of a "show" item but does cover them up. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.

Pacsafe has expanded their product line thoughtfully over the past several years, owing much to the consistent sales of their first product--the eponymous PacSafe. This ingeniously designed wire mesh cover encases your backpack or duffel, then with a simple cinch of the lock cable, allows you to loop it around any immobile object--I've personally used trees, street signs, benches, and most importantly train compartment fixtures. The material and workmanship on every component is top-notch, well worth the price point. While nothing can absolutely foil theft, this company understands that most crime is committed due to motive and opportunity; if you make the opportunity much smaller, you reduce your risk exponentially. A bag protected with a steel cable mesh secured with a bullet-proof padlock simply says, in a loud voice, "MOVE ALONG TO EASIER PREY" to the would-be thief. I've traveled all over SE Asia, Europe and Northern Africa with this as well as the PacSafe backback and hipsack, and am proud to say I've not even had an attempt made on my belongings (while having lost more than one bag in years past before I wised up to these). For some the weight may be an issue; it is nearly 2 pounds of dead weight to lug around. To this I reply: shave ounces elsewhere, where it makes more sense--pack lighter, lightweight rain gear, toiletries, accessories, etc., because the protection this affords is worth every penny and pound. As a side note, aside from urban theft-deterrence, the PacSafe also makes itself useful in many other scenarios--I've used it as a bear-bag while hiking on the Appalachian Trail, as a frame for mosquito netting in the forests of West Bengal, and as a great conversation starter in New York City.

Used this product to lock up a camera bag while traveling in Asia. I suppose someone could cut the cables with the right tools, but it was a handy way to secure valuables in my guest houses and felt somewhat more comfortable than just leaving them unsecured. Maids don't seem to carry cable cutters.

Convenient to use but it has one major flaw. The apetures are just too big to keep all but the biggest items from getting taken out of the bag. You either have to have another big bag inside your outer shell with your wallet and smaller items inside or you have to get a little padlock to put on your exterior zippers IF you have a bag with a two zipper pouch. With one pouch it just doesn't work. I will continue to use it until the next version comes along.

Osprey Momentum 34-Litre Commuter Pack

Ive travelled internationally for my job for over a decade and I've come to expect a lot from the bags I use. In my early days, I had entire packs come apart flinging my stuff everywhere. I decided a long time ago that the bag you trust all of your priceless personal items and expensive gadgets to should not be a cheap piece of junk.

I've used Osprey packs for years, yet they have never had a day pack/computer pack that worked for me, mostly because of their ultralight design approach. The Momentum 34 hits a new high. It has a nice stiff back that protects your laptop and props the bag up on its own without losing comfort. It has great organization and really shouldn't be confined to the bike commute. The two pockets on the shoulder straps are amazing, however, the key zip attachment needs a quick clip and not a O-ring.

My only gripe is that every decent pack needs at least one dedicated bottle/thermos pocket. The momentum has two side pockets at the bottom that are actually very nice for keeping a power brick, cliff bars, etc... i.e. items too for the main compartment of the bag, but too small for the pen/key pocket. When you open the side pockets there is a little mesh lining that keep the items from falling out yet handy at the same time. It's really a great idea. The problem is that these two side pockets are not large enough to keep a bottle/thermos mug. They will fit a can of soda or a 12 oz water bottle, but that's it and not conveniently at all. The thing that saves the Momentum for me is the rear "dump" pocket. It is high and narrow with a bit of stretch to it so a 16-20oz bottle slides in very nicely. It's just wide enough that I can slide my thermos mug in there too. This pocket is dedicated for a U-lock so I'm not sure what Osprey was thinking by not having a water bottle pocket; however, whether by accident or intent, the dump pocket is perfect for people that need to keep liquids at hand!

Honestly, if you want a pack that is well thought through buy from a company that is primarily a pack company like Osprey. NOT The North Face, or many others. Marmot makes great jackets, but horrible packs.

I've had this pack (S/M) for about a month and have used it daily for bicycle commuting and once for a weekend air-travel trip. I'm really happy with it. Finally a backpack that is made to use when riding a bike, that has a bunch of pockets, and that holds enough for a day at work, to the gym, to the shower, and back. There are a few changes that would make this pack perfect, but overall it's been worth my money.

Features:

I love the rain fly. It is bright yellow and comes out and on in about 10 seconds, and even has an attachment spot for a blinky. The lid lock works perfectly to snap my helmet (or a neck pillow)on the outside of my bag. The shoulder straps can be tucked into the bag and zipped away, and there are handles for carrying from the top or side of the pack. I've removed the detachable waist belt, but would put it back on for longer rides with heavier/bigger loads. The pack expands with a zip-around zipper, giving me enough room to easily fit a pair of running shoes when the bag had been too full to fit either before. The compression straps keep the load from being floppy (and were a must-have after my last pack). The sternum strap is adjustable and comfortable but I find I actually have to use it, which wasn't always the case with other packs. It may have something to due with my poly/nylon winter jacket, but the straps are slippery and don't seem to stay on unless I have fasten the sternum strap. This might be a good thing too, but I've never had a problem with chafing from shoulder straps on a bike(upper body doesn't move that much on a bike). The back panel is comfortable and does a great job at keeping any bulky or pointy items from jabbing me. In the winter, my outer layer is windproof and I always appreciate the added warmth of a pack, so I really have no comment on ventilation it allows.

Storage:

It holds more than I thought it would, I've packed running shoes, skirt, shirt, lightweight sweater, heels, along with a 14" laptop and a couple magazines, and was able to zip it up with no problem.

I love the compartmentalization. This pack has enough organization that I can fit all of my essentials (first aid, u-lock, snack bars, patch kit, mini-pump, micro-fiber rag, resistance bands, toiletries, chamois towel, wallet, makeup, pens, watch, jewelry, flip flops, etc.) without putting any of them in the main compartments. This is important both because I want to be able to access this stuff quickly, and also because I'm packing and unpacking daily with a change of clothes (or two).

The shoulder strap pockets (phone on the left (note: on S/M, it is not big enough for an iPhone, don't know about M/L) and keys (with a retractable key ring) on the right) are great, and don't get in the way at all for me.

I have to preface the next piece by saying that this is the best pack I've had for commuting. Osprey makes great packs. Having one of their other backpacking packs, I was thrilled to see their entry into the bike commuter market. That said, here's my biggest complaint about the Metropolis: The positing of the auxillary pockets could be better for everyday commuting use. When my pack is only lightly loaded, since I have the extra pockets full, most of the load is at the top of the pack. Even when it shouldn't be an issue, I still see the pack when I'm looking over my shoulder. (I'm on my bike, so this is important.) Whatever I put into the auxiliary pockets reduces the amount I can put into the main compartment. With the exception of the marsupial pouch and the shoulder strap pockets, the smaller storage pockets all expand into the main compartment instead of expanding outside the bag. So, when I have the auxiliary pockets filled (which I usually do), it means the main compartment isn't an approximate rectangle. I have to squeeze stuff into the bottom of bag where there is space the top is full with contents from the top pocket. I should say almost-the-bottom of the bag either side of the bottom of the bag is full with contents from the side pocket. What makes packing it especially annoying is the fact that the panel access (better than top load!) only unzips the top half of the bag. Getting a pair of dress slacks in without bunching them up is possible, but challenging.

If you want to carry a water bottle on the pack neither my nalgene or stainless steel bottles fit in the side pockets (28 oz range), and when I put a small 12 oz water it, it kept wanting to slide out. All of these bottles fit in the marsupial pouch. But of course, then they aren't accessible without removing the pack. I miss my old pack's mesh pocket. It held a water bottle or whatever else I stuffed in there a bandana, some candy, a pair of gloves. It was really nice to have one-handed access to a pocket on the fly. The size zip pockets have a little mesh webbing, but the webbing is loose so you still need to zip to keep anything from falling out.

There is a second compartment behind the main compartment that holds flat things, like a laptop. It has (what looks like) a waterproof zipper, and inside it has both a fastened pocket for a laptop and another inch or two deep pocket. I bet I could fit two laptops in it! Anyway, it works laptops and papers/books. I love that the laptop pocket is positioned toward the middle of the bag (instead of against the back). It gives the laptop a little more protection. Also the rain fly is in a pocket on the bottom of the pack, also offering a little protective padding down there.

Air travel:

Stuffed to the gills, it fit in the overhead bin (sideways). I had to take the neck pillow out from under the elastic helmet clip (lid lock) and had to pull my winter jacket out of the marsupial pouch, but that probably goes without saying. The fact that I could zip away the shoulder straps meant that I didn't dangle them in another passengers face as I put my bag up. (Sorry for not doing that the first time!)

Summary:

So, overall a great pack. Holds a ton, has awesome bike commuting features, has great compartmentalization, and feels secure and comfortable. I wish the main compartment were easier to load and unload, and that I didn't see it when I looked over my shoulder, but I don't think there is a better bag out there. (Note: immediately after buying this bag, I noticed that Osprey came out with a new cycling pack. Haven't fully investigated, but it may have some improvements over this one.)

This pack has all the bells and whistles you want in a pack. It has a pocket for everything located in the right place and you won't run out of room with it's capacity. My only gripe about this pack is the back panel. It's up against your back and doesn't allow any airflow between it, which means that your back will get sweaty quick. If the next iteration of this pack allowed some airflow or spaced padding to keep the back of the pack away from your back and allow airflow it would be a winner. I've returned the pack and will wait and see if Osprey will make that change. I bought both sizes when I considered purchasing the pack and at 5' 7.5" I decided to go with S/M. I felt the M/L was a little too big. Try both sizes if you can before deciding which size to purchase.

I've been using the pack for about a year for my bike commute in Oregon, USA. The pack is an absolute life saver both for comfort and features.

The back of the pack is relatively stiff which may not sound like the most comfortable thing, but it keeps any stiff items in the bag from poking you (i.e. books laptop chargers, water bottles etc), provides a wide and balanced platform for your load, and allows for the natural contours in your back to act as channels to bring air between you and the pack keeping you cool and dry.

Speaking of dry, Oregon is a wet and rainy place and if you're commuting with a few hundred or a few thousand dollars worth of books, electronics, and other important papers staying dry is key. The fold away rain flap does a great job of this. It has its own pocket at the bottom of the bag and can fold out and cover the bag in a matter of 15-20 seconds (great if you get stuck in a flash downpour). The cover also has a bungee cinch that keeps it tight to the bag, keeping water out and keeping the cover from turning into a sail. I use the two small outer pockets to carry my rain pants and a light rain coat so I'm always prepared to do battle with nature.

Like every thing else on the bag, the straps are well thought out. The shoulder straps are well padded and help to balance the load. A nice feature of the shoulder straps is that they can be unclipped at the waste and tucked into the bag so if you ever want to check the pack you won't have to worry about the straps getting caught on something and damaged. There is also a chest strap and a waist belt to keep the bag secure on your body if you're trying to ride fast. A pair of straps at the top of the shoulder straps allow you to adjust how high the bag rides on your back and a pair of cinch straps on the cargo compartment let you compact the bag to fit what you're carrying.

Size wise I like the bag a lot. The 34L bag is big enough for several books, a computer, a sweater, and probably some lunch. There haven't been many times that I was unable to fit everything I needed for a work day into the bag and honestly the few times I have run into issues it was probably for the better. At a certain point putting too much stuff on your back and going on a bike ride is probably verging on dangerous.

Finally Osprey's customer service is amazing. The bag comes with a lifetime warranty and they will replace broken clips and zippers even if you're probably at fault. I broke (stepped on) one of the waist strap buckles, sent an email to customer support showing which one had broke and had a new one within a week. I like a company that knows that they have a quality product and is willing to stand behind it even if it does cost a bit more than the other products on the market. They stand behind the product, I stand with them. I can't imagine I'll need to replace it for quite some time, but when that time comes I will look to osprey again for another quality product.

I love my yellow S/M pack it holds so much stuff when its expanded (once held three shoe boxes on a trip from work) and can zip up small and still hold my laptop. I am 5'9" and about 160 lbs and it fits me well. I actually have to tighten the chest strap just a couple inches from its tightest setting I would bet that the M/L bag would be way too big for me.

I have a Mac 15" laptop which is technically too small for the flap that holds laptops, but I put it in the gap right next to it which has an inch or more length. BUT this space is not padded when I put the bag on the floor sometimes I can hear the laptop banging on the floor. I solved that problem by keeping my spare tube in the bottom of that slot.

I hate that this bag doesn't have a place for a water bottle. If you commute by bike and train, which I do, I really want a spot to keep my bottle on the outsite of the bag because the bottle sweats i the summer.

I love the helmet clip! Love the rain cover. I love all the pockets I use every one of them for headphones, laptop power cord, building ID card, sunglasses, bike lock etc..

NOTE: the yellow looks sharp but I am halfway into my winter and its a dirty mess from all kicked up dirt on the roads, the occasional puddle and from the dirty subway trains. I wish I could trade it in for a black bag.

I had the opportunity to review The Adventurer, a rolling travel duffle that has all of the features of a top-of-the line piece of luggage, for a lot less! This large, black and silver suitcase is made from ballistics grade polyester and has a lightweight, durable polyethylene frame which not only helps the bag retain its shape, but also allows it to stand upright on its own without any support. This way you can access your belongings without having to lay it down, lean it or prop it against something. Except for the back side, it is a soft-sided suitcase, not hard, and the material reminds me of a very well-made backpack.

It is the perfect size for both me and my husband, with a roomy interior, plenty of multi-size pockets on the outside, plus front compression straps with no-slip buckles so you can adjust the overall size of the suitcase. There is an elastic strap with a buckle inside to help secure contents, and also a large mesh pocket on the inside of the cover. Another feature I really like is that all of the zippers are no-snag, so they are easy to zip without any material getting caught up in the track, and they zip very smoothly.

There is this great top pocket on the outside which is perfect for quick access to keys, tickets, your phone or whatever else you made need on short notice. And I love the covered ID slot that is built right in on the back side close to the top so I no longer have to worry about ugly and annoying luggage tags that always seem to fall off, plus it protects my privacy! You just push a little button and slide it out of the slot! Very handy!

There are grab handles on four sides which makes getting it out of the car trunk much easier, as well as allowing you to carry it different ways! The two wheels for pulling roll smoothly even on rough surfaces, and the 12" tow handle with comfort grip is fully retractable. Both on the back side and the bottom are high impact rails to help protect contents and the shell when pulling it up stairs, plus there are other reinforced, durable impact points. The corners are also reinforced by fabric overlays and multiple stitching layers to protect against tearing or splitting. This suitcase is so well made, even the buckles on the compression straps are heavy duty and made to withstand 180 degree bending and very hot or cold temperatures like you would find in cargo bays!

I love our new Adventurer! It has all of the bonus features you find with very expensive luggage, it is just as well made and durable (if not more) and costs so much less! I absolutely LOVE this product. We live a few hours from family and travel to see them on occassion. I have a little suitcase for each of my 3 children. I was looking for something that I could put all of their things in so I would only have 1 piece of luggage to take with us. This product does the trick. I can fit it all in here. I just love the colors and all the features that it has to offer. It has a very sturdy handle so you can pick it up easily. There is a zipper compartment on the top of the bag. You un-zip it and inside is where the handle is located. You just press a button down on the handle and pull it up. Once you pull it all the way up, you will hear it click into place. To put it down, all you need to do is push the button and press down. Once it is all the way down you can then zip the compartment closed.

There is a compartment located on the top portion that can be un-zipped. I find it perfect for my kids' toothbrushes and such, as it all fits perfect in there.

I have taken this thing on so many trips! Not only that, but every time my father goes on a trip he calls to ask if he can use it. I just bought one as a gift for him and he super stoked. I also use this for ski gear during the winter. It caries both boots and pleanty of outerwear, healmet and gogs with no problem.

Ful Unisex Adult Tennman Laptop Backpack

My dog chewed my previous backpack (Ful Tennman, same model in green), bought this as a replacement. It's a perfect pack for commuting to work with a laptop. There's room for the water bottle, space for bringing lunch to work. The pack is very expandable and can take a heavy load. I typically carry about 25-30 pounds during the commute (laptop, food, extra clothes, water, reading materials). Used the previous bag for about two years with no major wear and tear to the pack. I'm pretty gentle on my gears however. Zippers wear well and material is tough.

This is one of the best backpacks that I've ever bought. It is really well made and has a lot of space to put everything I need for a four hour commute every day. It has space for a laptop, iPad, misc cables, 3G card, hard drive, water bottle, umbrella, and plenty of misc other stuff.

The construction is excellent and it will really hold up to daily rugged use. The material feels firm and the stitching looks like it won't fall apart easily.

This is one bag that I would definitely buy again in the future!

I use my backpacks for travel. I have five and this latest one is the best. It is thoughtfully-built and has all the compartments and pockets that I need. i especially like the laptop pocket and the open front pocket where I can store my boarding passes and other items that I need easy access to.

The only thing I miss is a key ring.

I originally bought two of these years ago at Costco. They traveled around the world and back and were in great shape until just recently. I bought a third one 18 months ago when we needed an extra. This fourth one was to replace the one that finally succumbed to wear and tear. Wish they had more colors, but otherwise an excellent backpack: great design, lots of roomy and sensible pockets, well made, feels good when slung across one shoulder or carrying tons of weight on my back. I have been stopped in the airport by complete strangers asking me about the backpack. Will definitely by again.

This is a lovely, simple backpack but the first thing you must do is reinforce the bottom corners so that the grommets don't come out. Then you must mend the drawstring tubing if the stitching comes out. When you've done that, you have a useful, attractive backpack. It's lined and has an zippered outside pocket, which is handy. I've seen many drawstring backpacks around town, but none as pretty as this one!

My son (15 yr-old) loves this string bag. The material is water resistant, thick and all components are solidly sewn/reinforced. The double strings are round and very thick/solid (probably 1/4" in diameter). Be aware that this material is not expandable no stretching it out to accomodate extra gear. He carries a packed 2 1/2 inch ringer binder in it for school, but that leaves little room for anything else (and it's a tight fit putting it in and taking it out.) Otherwise, it is a well-made product that has held up well with daily use, without fading or tearing.

Online shopping can be misguiding at times due to the image quality and lighting. When the bag came, I thought they shipped a different colored bag because the green is completely different than what is pictured. I bought the bag for the color and minimalistic features.

I'm upset with the color but the bag is durable and great, just wish the color was correct.

Inland Pro 15.6-Inch Notebook Bag, Black (02438)

The case has plenty of room for a 15.6" laptop. It's compact like neoprene laptop sleeves, but additionally has a nice handle. (It also doesn't smell like neoprene, which is fortunate.) It has a small zippered pocket to fit the power cord.

I purchased this bag for a spare laptop that I use for vacation travel. It works for everything that I need. It seems to be well padded and I have not had any problems.

This case has two strong points:

+ It's unassuming and perhaps less likely to invite theft. I could see using it instead of a "sleeve" when pulling my laptop out of my backpack through airport security.

+ It doesn't have any frills, which help keep down bulk and weight (I don't need a charger pocket for my short cafe trips). Even the handle is unpadded, thin nylon webbing.

It only has one serious negative:

DANG could you possibly make it any "cheaper" looking? Or cheaper feeling, with the flimsy (but adequately strong and secure) handles?

Although if I had a choice between an overbuilt Targus etc. bag and this one, I guess I'd still stick with this one. My present use is just a way to carry a larger laptop (15.6") to a cafe when I don't want to move all my stuff out of my smaller, every day carry, bike messenger bag to a daypack with a 15.6" laptop slot. I sure don't want to be carrying my laptop under my arm, looking for a way to slip out and destroy itself, so for quick and dirty trips to the cafe, this Inland Pro is perfect. Even a shoulder strap would be too much, handles are enough for this purpose.

If you want to know where my source of dissatisfaction comes from, go to an Apple Store and check out the Incase "Sling" line of very minimalist cases for the Macbook Pro series. Those fit SNUG and look SHARP. The handles are padded, but efficiently slim, and hide away in clever little slots if you want to use this as a "case" and not mini-attache (they even include shoulder straps).

So why didn't I spend the extra 35 bucks or so to get one of the Incase CL57715 Nylon Sling Sleeve for MacBook Pro 13", Black for my laptop?

Well Incase doesn't make a line for 15.6" Windows laptops, perhaps because in the Windows world even laptops with the same screen size can vary quite a bit in thickness, depth, and width (that probably explains the "loose" fit on this Inland Pro on my 15.6" Windows laptop). A 15" InCase Sling definitely won't fit my 15.6" laptop, nor will any of the neoprene sleeves, Chrome messenger bag sleeves, or other nifty 15" Macbook sleeves that I have tried to date.

So at least this Inland Pro I bought fits more like a sleeve and less that a slightly oversize, floppy bag, right?

NOPE, it has about 1.5 inches of left to right slack and almost 2" of top and bottom slack with my current design (AMD Fusion E300 powered) Compaq 15.6" laptop. The Compaq is slightly thinner than a 3 year old 15.6" laptop I also have (but MUCH lighter) but still that much slack on each side is disappointing, and means the laptop won't fit in a 15.6" daypack/travel pack laptop slot IF the Inland Pro case is on it. Which forces me to use a daypack/travel pack with a 17.3" slot, or to dump the laptop in the Inland Pro into the main compartment, where it won't ride "suspended" by the neat suspension laptop slot that newer packs come with (much better against "setdown" shocks).

In short, this is one of those products where you will have to make one of three choices: wait to see it in person to see if it fits snugly enough for you to use as a case (or loosely enough to stuff in a charger); order with a 50-50 risk of returning it for being "not as expected," or just order it, keep it, and find SOME use for it (if only to keep dust off your laptop). YMMV, since your laptop size (in the Windows world) probably DOES vary.

BTW, Inland Pro materials quality, from a functional but not appearance standpoint, is first-rate; and finish (quality of sewing etc.) is also first rate. This just won't win any design awards or dazzle with it's clever minimalism. This is _cheap_ minimalism!

This is a really basic laptop bag, but if you are looking for a good value, this is it. It does have some padding and fits my 15.6 inch screen nicely. Best deal I could find for a laptop bag out there.

Now for $9.00 I was not having any high standards, but this product is exactly what I needed, nothing too bulky or material heavy, the design is perfect, and seems very durable. I give 5 stars all around because this product is beautiful! Never thought I would describe a backpack as "beautiful"... but it is! The pink is sharp. And the sequin stars and bow are kind of puffy to the touch. They appear to be very well sewn on. Even with rough handling, I bet the sequins will hold up well. The stitches and seams are tight, the zipper runs smoothly and the straps are padded. The backpack is a licensed product of Hello Kitty, which means it would be of great quality. The size is perfect for elementary school students, or big kids who don't haul 500 pound books around in their packs. (It's not really deep, like one of those super dee duper huge backpacks from Columbia or LL Bean.) But it is large, fits full-sized folders and notebooks with room to spare. I am sure you could carry 3 good sized texts in this. I'm merely guessing because my daughter is only in kindergarten:)

This bag is used (not too gently) by my kindergarten-age daughter. It's holding up very well, holds all of her school stuff and a lunch box, and she loves it.

This is a magnificent bag, a great piece of craftsmanship that I get comments on all the time. The stiching, leather & lining are all top grade.

I searched long and hard for a bag of this style. Everything else of the quality I wanted was 2-3 times the price. Leyden & Sons have made a bag that I will be wearing for many years to come.

This bag is excellent for many reasons. However, I will state them concisely, in no particular order. First, it looks nice. Second, it has just the right amount of space. Third, it is versatile.

I ordered this bag for traveling with an 11" MacBook Air and the contents of my purse. Happily it arrived before a short trip so I could give it a test run before a longer vacation where I will likely want to have the Mac with me at least some of the time. It replaced a large and rather ratty backpack, and it's a gigantic step up. The Mac fits snugly and perfectly in the bag, leaving room for cell phone, wallet and 2 smallish zip bags with cosmetic stuff and other gadgetry. Side zip pocket perfect for ID, passport, boarding pass whatever. Glasses pouch is a nice touch, eliminating the need for a separate glasses case.

The leather is dark, heavy, and matte. It is understated and beautiful. I like the fact that the strap is a leather-webbing combination, as it manages to be lighter, more flexible and still strong all at the same time. I'm not a tall person (5'4" when I elongate as much as possible) and it's not unduly large for me to carry as a messenger bag style. I believe that this will join the pantheon of perfect-for-the-task bags in my collection!

ps. It also is the perfect size to slide into the first class sliding overhead bin on a Canadair Regional Jet 700. That is one tiny bin that would never accept a briefcase or regular laptop bag. The Mailboy slid in there perfectly!

I purchased this bag a few months ago after reading the reviews here on Amazon. I was in the market for a small messenger bag that would fit magazines and a couple of books while maintaining a minimalist design. I have received countless compliments on the bag. It is simply beautiful and the craftsmanship is top-notch. I was looking for a bag made in the USA from quality materials and this is by far one of the best available. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a small flaw in the stitching on the corner of the bag and the owner of the company was quick to respond to my email. He said that I could bring the bag to a local leather or shoe shop and have it repaired and he would reimburse me. I haven't yet gone because I've been quite busy, but the promptness of the owner's response impressed me. Besides the small stitching issue, I feel the bag is perfect for my needs. Now that the iPad mini 2 is going to be released in the near future, I am even more excited as this bag will easily fit it and a full-sized travel Bluetooth keyboard that will eliminate the need to bring my 15" MacBook Pro around with me everywhere. The bag smells of real, natural leather and feels sturdy. I am confident that it will last a lifetime and will become even more beautiful as the leather wears and ages. I highly recommend this bag and the price is well-worth it.

I travel pretty regularly and this is a great little bag. The EZ Scan faeture is nice when going through TSA. The styling and appointments are nice and it has held up well in the first 6 weeks or so I've had it. The zippers (usually the first fail point) are very sturdy and the material seems rugged and does not mark up.

It is not a huge bag though, so if you're looking for something that can handle your omputer, several files, and lots of extras this wouldn't work for you. I find that I fill as much space as I have and this bag makes me drag less around, which tuns out to be fine. I usually carry a 13" lap top, power pack, charger for my phone, Note Pad/folder, Kindle fire, head phones, and business cards and pens etc.

My only complaint is that I wish it had one extra pocket to hold a folder. I usually carry around my note pad/folder in the compartment that has the laptop and power pack in it (it's the only place to put it)and when I go through TSA I either have to take it out or stick it in the front of my carry on luggage. It's not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience.

I would recommend this bag.
