Beatrix Big Kid Nigel Shark Backpack

I didn't have any of the problems of the previous reviewer. My seven year old has been beating the heck out of his pack for months now and it's still cute as ever.

I order a Beatrix backpack every fall for my six-year-old, but this is the last one I'll ever order. It completely fell apart after four months of probably less than normal wear and tear. The seam near the zipper ripped open, and I cannot sew it as it is so close to the zipper. They are the cutest backpacks on the market, but cheaply made. For $52, you expect more!

I have owned this bag for almost two years. This is a well designed bag with a nice large zippered front pouch and flap opening that has multiple pockets for pens, cards, electronics and a padded computer pouch. It also has a nice pocket in the back so it has a good variety of storage options for most applications. My largest complaint is that after time, the stitching for the strap started to come out and by now, I needed to get a new bag because I am afraid that the strap will rip off and damage my computer. I am a heavy commuter that packs this bag with a computer, large binder and typically other folders or papers. If you travel lighter, you will likely have better results. I also found the plastic around the carrying handle started tearing on both sides and is starting to come off. Really nice bag but hoped that it was built for heavy use. I switched to a backpack style so that it was not so heavy on one shoulder and that i would have better luck with the wear on the bag.

Great quality and I can actually fit all my books and papers in it! First messenger bag I've found that will expand properly!

I use this bag for work and personal trips almost every day of the week, and it can take a beating. It's small enough to put in the passenger's seat of your vehicle, or to tuck away behind the driver's seat, but large enough inside to hold my Dell E6400 laptop, a binder, portfolio, a couple resumes in presentation folders (never know when you'll need them), my laptop charger, charger for my work cell, my Evo, its charger, plus damned near anything else I'd care to bring along. Definitely recommend the bag for anyone looking for space inside to match the quality outside.

Pacsafe Luggage Slingsafe 300 Gii Backpack

This backpack is very handy for what I needed. I carry my MacBook in the laptop slot. Wallet and checkbook, pens, etc. fit nicely into the pockets in the front zipper portion. I am using small zippered pockets that I purchased separately to keep things organized in the large part of the backpack. I tried using one of the side pockets to hold my cell phone, but it slides out. Since things slide out of those pockets, I haven't been able to use them. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the product.

I am a HUGE Pacsafe fan, and own several of their products. I purchased this specifically to have a convenient way to carry around my new macbook pro.

First, let me say, that although it appears black in the photo it is most definitely not black. More like a medium charcoal gray. Not a bad thing, but you should know this up front.

This pack has well-padded shoulder straps, making it comfortable even when loaded with a lot of weight. There are two compartments, each with separate zipper closures a large main compartment, and a front smaller one. the large main compartment has a built-in padded sleeve to hold your laptop, as well as a few pockets, one which is great for placing your credit cards, as it has RFID-blocking technology to prevent those credit card info stealing people! Very handy when traveling!

The front pocket has several additional pockets inside, and is great for easy access to items like passport, electronics or reading material.

I really like the anti-theft features, and use them regularly, which for me, makes this the perfect "around town" bag, whether I am traveling abroad, or just doing errands close to home. I especially appreciate the additional security feature of the shoulder strap that detaches for wrapping around a table leg at a restaurant, then reattaches, allowing you to focus on your meal instead of worrying if someone is going to steal your pack.

Side pockets are handy for your water bottle and umbrella.

As an example of what it can hold, I normally carry this as a quick overnight bag, and can easily fit my laptop, assorted electronics, a change of clothes, an iPad and a light jacket inside of it.

I travel a lot in China where one of the main problems is pickpockets--or rather, bag slashers, to be more accurate. I purchased the backpack, waist pack, and messenger bag and have been so happy with all of them. Besides providing excellent security with the slash-proof design, they are lightweight and attractive. I took this backpack with me on my 17 day trip to Europe. The size is small but it hold a lot inside. There is not a lot of padding on the straps so if I had a couple of items in my bag my shoulders would start to hurt. The safety hooks on the side could be better when I was in Germany someone unhooked my bag and got it unzipped. The bag overall is good the material is strong and it hold a lot of weight for the size of the bag.I use this bag every day and I put it through some wear and tear and it held up great. I would recommend this bag for everyone traveling to another country or just a bag to have if you feel as if you need just a little bit more security about your belongings when traveling.

It happened just like they say in travel books and on the State Department website: four pasty tweens pushed on behind us during rush hour on the Metro, asking distracting questions like "is this the train for the airport?", and we could feel them pawing our purses. I ordered this because the price was pretty decent. There are similar products for cheaper on this site but this was the cheapest that I found in a horizontal position. 1) I know the color says red but I expected hot pink since that is actually the color in the picture. 2) I should've read the case size in the description because my 17 in. computer fits tightly in this item; I was surprised to get it in. I suggest that if you get this, you get this for a smaller sized laptop because it honestly shouldn't be worth the trouble.

However, I do like that the slee/ case is reversible (black w/ red rim or red w/ black rim) and I am guessing it can be turned to a carrying case with the free cord. The fabric is soft, almost slippery but it has a nice sheerness to it. I hope this product lasts.

We run a small IT Consulting company and while my husband is not a big Apple fan, we do have a client that uses entirely OSX so someone in the company needs to be running a Mac and that someone is me... I have to admit, after a few turbulent weeks of a rather steep learning curve over 4 years ago, I became a Mac Snob. The 17" Flip Sleeve Pouch was a nice change from trying to stuff a laptop into the kinds with only the small flap at the end. The MacBook slips in nicely from the top opening and is secured with Velcro and not a zipper which I prefer since zippers tend to lean toward scratching and malfunctions. It is well designed and a safe new home for my MacBook.

The case really is pretty, but it turned out a lot darker than the skin. The skin has all the right colors--vibrant blues and the watch is a great color. I'm very happy with the skin, though I'm still smoothing out a few of the bubbles from application (my fault, not theirs). However, the case is just...lacking....oh, it's pretty, but it's much duller than the skin. The blue just looks a little tired and there isn't the same amount of contrast between the background and the butterflies, making it hard to make out the entirety of the picture. It's also a little thin, so while it does my job of protecting my net book in my purse, if you're looking for something that will protect your hardware in high impact instances, look elsewhere. To get a good feel of how much it will protect your technology, go to walmart and feel the inside of the cases with the handles. They are about the same, though this case is made with a better quality.

Lowepro SlingShot 350 AW -Black

Like the other lowepro slingshots, it is well padded and sturdy. What it does not mention is that it is HUGE. Granted it needs to be pretty large to haul all your equipment and a laptop, it is just so big...like carrying another torso around on your back. I am 5'4" and it just overwhelms me, but will work okay if you are much taller. I use it for carrying my wedding photography equipment and it can be VERY heavy fully loaded. Some nice features:

1. There are two additional straps that hold it on, one around the waist (or low hips if you are short like me), and one that fastens the main strap to the backpack, so it can't swing around if you are running. It sounds confusing, but it works.

2. LOTS of storage, and a little cloth that is sewn into the main section for cleaning your display.

3. The weatherproof hood that pulls out of the bottom is AMAZING. Gives so much peace of mind that your equipment won't be ruined by rain. you can still access the main compartment from the side with the cover on.

4. There is a good amount of padding on the strap and the part that clips around the waist, so it is not unbearable to carry when it is very heavy.

5. The two dark grey panels that you see in the picture are very sturdy loops that you can clip things to if there is no room in your bag

My Fong Reporter diffuser does NOT fit, but that is not the bags fault; it is a big diffuser.

At first I considered returning it because it was so big and made me look like a dope, but it really gets the job done when you have a lot to carry. Overall, a very nice bag, well made and neat features.

First off I am a big guy around the middle 44"the built in waist strap fit around me while I was wearing a sport coat That endeared me to this bagThe manufacturer wasn't cheap with the materials! I upgraded my bag to this for a trip to India. Crammed with my stuff it wouldn't fit under my seat on the trip over. On the way back with less non essentials I could get it under. I carried a SLR and a wide to mid, and mid to tele zoom, flash, battery grip, filters, and memory cards in it, with room to spare. All very well protected. In India at security check points ( a month after their 26/11) at tourist sites I had it off my shoulder well before I approached. I had opened the side door, and had one hand on the bag, the other on my camera, pulling it in and out,and kept repeating "Camera Bag, Camera Bag". That did the trick. At most tourist sites back packs aren't allowed, so at my first stop I had to flay it open to prove it was. That is something I hadn't taken into account.

The ability to hold a laptop cushions the back, but does make it more rigid. I could have easily put a few more lenses in the bagbut in the end I'm glad I didn't (so I could travel lighter). I'm looking forward to using the bag on hikes now.

This bag is perfect for anyone who gets on airplanes, goes on fullday excursions, carries a computer & camera with them to work everyday, or likes to boulder on the same trips they photograph on. First off, the computer slot is SMOOTH for a 13" Macbook. If you have an applesac, it's a little tight, but it's still easy to get it in and out. Beware because on the Lowepro description it says it fits MOST 15" computers. That just means be smart about it, try it out before you get it and realize it doesn't fit your needs.

The main compartment is great. I carry a 50mm f/1.8, a 28-200mm, a wideangle, a charger, stuff to clean my Macbook screen, and still have room to spare. I like to leave my 50mm lens on so i readjusted the velcro dividers so that my camera (Canon 5D Mark 2) "sits" on the bottom rather than in the middle. It's got a really nice micro-fiber cloth to clean your LCD and a pocket with slots for 4 memory card cases.

Don't let the front pocket fool you, I've got PLENTY of stuff in there, I keep my camera manual, my pocket journal, pens, sharpies, business cards & my backup Point & Shoot.

The top pocket is great because I can put my climbing shoes & a medium sized chalkbag in it when I'm going out for a bouldering day. When I'm using it for work though, I keep my MAC charger, external harddrive, monitor convertor cable, AV cable & my USB transfer cable with plenty of extra room if I wanted to pack my backup body (Canon D30) & iPod...Neil Young albums...you name it, it's probably made it's way into that pocket.

The sling design is perfect and the support strap makes it even better. It's great that you can just whip it around and take your camera out, or if it's set up right, change lenses without having to unzip the whole pocket and just use the silent zipper & zip stop buckles.

I could have done without the waist straps...or at least a better way to store them when I'm on short runs, but I'm sure they'll come in handy on REALLY long days.

Of course you can't forget the Lowepro weathercover. That thing has pulled me out in plenty of pinches in all the time I've used Lowepro.

If you can't handle the sheer power of this pack, downgrade to the 300 or 200.

This pack won't help you take better pictures, but it will sure keep you from messing up all those sweet goodies you got stored away in it.

Although I'm older, I just recently began involvement in my photo hobby. I travel internationally on business. I replaced my briefcase with the Low Pro 350 in order to bring my lap top and a few accessories on-board. The ease to get th to camera, built-in security from little hands and quality of the bag make this the best option for my needs. I did a little informal research at the beach with the surf photogrophers before buying the Low Pro. All sopke highly of the bag, several had them and I am now preparing for another trip and trying to decide which 3 lenses I'lltote along. The seller could not have been more helpful, communicative and responsive. I ended up buying a very expensive mono-pod that doubles for a walking stick.

After much research I found this product to be useful since i had a requirement of carrying my HP 15.4" laptop with my gear. One reason I choose this product was you don't have take it from shoulder for changing the lens, just slide it over and u can open the camera compt with ease. I wanted to see how this product looks before i purchase this online, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the local stores. I had no choice, bcoz of my immediate trip to Miami, FL. After opening the package, i immediately felt that the bag was big (width wise). The first thing I tried was laptop compartment. First of all it was very thin. I wasn't surprised when it didn't fit my HP Pavillion Dv6000t (15.4") laptop that easily. I had to push it inside. And taking out wasn't that easy either.

Miami trip was a good chance to test the bag.

Their weather resistant cover at the bottom of the bag is really good and works well. But for me laptop compartment was more important. And their one side strap made my shoulder hurt throughout my trip (something people should think of before buying it).

Overall I wasn't satisfied much with the product !

This is a cute backpack, however very small in size. It would have been nice if the description toddler or mini backpack were used in the title of this item. It is enough room for a toddler to take a few of his belongings somewhere. Probably could be used for Pre-k, a normall sized notebook wouldn't fit so I wouldn't recommend for serious use a backpack for school. I got this for my one year old so that I could wear it as a diaper bag. Its good for a short trip for a few hours not a full days outting.

I don't carry that much on a daily basis, the bag is way bigger than I wanted or expected. This is an actual backpack for people who carry lots of books. This is not a bag for everyday use or for the city dweller going to and from on the train (this bag is bulky on your back on a crowded subway car commute) It is also realllllly difficult to use the zipper function on the big pocket; I am constantly swinging my bag from back to front to get my metro card, book, ipad, cell phone out but this bag doesn't make the transition easy. Again, this is literally a book bag.

UPDATE: only three short months later and this bag is ripping near the top zipper/eyeglass holder area. I don't even use the bag every day, and nothing more than normal wear and tear. Not worth the $60 spent.

Worth the price for sure! It's a great size, the laptop sleeve is awesome (no need for an annoying separate sleeve) and it's super high quality.

Incase Nylon Tech Backpack

It looks sleek and has a nice set of pockets inside, especially the one for a laptop.

However, given the high price it pathetically lacks in the following ways:

No place to put a bottle

It is NOT waterproof (I had textbooks get soaked one day just walking to class).

This is the greatest backpack I have ever had. I've used Oakley as well as a few other nice backpacks for my macbook pros, but Incase nailed it with this one.

PRO: 1. Notebook compartment is relatively "stretchy", accommodating notebooks of different thickness yet holding all snugly. 2. I like that the notebook compartment is contained within the main compartment so that one gains all the extra space not taken up by a thin notebook; one can also take the notebook in and out while grabbing other stuff at the same time without having to unzip separate main compartments. 3. The notebook compartment is relatively well padded. 4. I love the little zippered pocket on the outside that has just enough space for my cellphone and makes the cellphone easy to get to.

CON: 1. No internal zippered pocket for keeping valuables or just small items you do not want to get loose in your bag. 2. I would prefer the notebook compartment to be even better padded. 3. Bag is a bit thin and floppy so that it does not stand up on its own for loading. 4. I wish it had a small outside organizer pocket for pens, etc.
