I purchased this back pack for the men in my family. They over fill their pockets with the small things they need for hunting. They were thrilled. They can put all the small essentials in this back pack and keep it ready for each day. They just need to grab the back pack on the way out the door and everything they need will be in there. It is not too big just the right size.Want Woodland Camouflage Military Vintage Washed Compact Mini Backpack Discount?

Voltaic 1010 OffGrid Solar Backpack
I wanted to know what actually happen when I have only one or two charge lights on (not blinking); is it charging in this case? So today I rigged up some
plug and I connected a power analyzer between the storage battery and the pannel. I placed the solar pannel against the window so I don't have direct sun light.
in this set up, I got two non-blinking charge lights and the power analyzer reported a current of 0.0 to 0.03 Amp entering the storage battery (most of the time,
there is no current at all). So this means that when the charging lights are not blinking even if they are on, there is not much charging going on.
On the other in direct sun light, it is different. In this case, the lights are blinking and I can get something like 0.3 to 0.5 Amp.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------PREVIOUS UPDATE---------------------------------------------------------------------
I always have the storage battery (one that came with the backpack) plugged into the pannel. I found that even when I am not using the battery to charge anything,
it will drain quickly when it is not being charged in the sun light. For example after being out of the sunlight for 12 hours, I lost one charge light. It went
from 4 charge lights to 3. I do not like the almost-to-nothing documentation that came with this product. It never explain any of this. Why is the battery
drain too quickly when I am not using it?
------------------------------------------------------PREVIOUS UPDATE:----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I finaly get enough summer sun light to test this backpack charging ability. This is what I found. The storage battery's charging lights will only be blinking
sequentialy (indicating that the battery is being charged) when in direct sun light. When not in direct sun light (like near a window), the charging lights are not blinking, but one or sometime two charging lights will be on. What
does this means in this case? Is the battery being charged in this case? I really do not know (the documentation is not clear on this). I assume
that the battery is being charged at low capacity (at least I hope that is the case) and I also assume that
the number of lights that are on indicate the charging capacity.
Also even in direct sun light, the solar panel's output charging current is not as high as the current drawn by the cell phone so when I am charging my Nokia cell
phone while walking or riding my bike in direct sun light, the storage battery will be drain. This means that my cell may not be completely charged and the
storage battery may be completely drained. This is especially true if the storage battery is not fully charged at the start of a charging session. This is disapointing because what is the point if I have to fully charged the storage battery at home before begining a trip. I would like to be able to charge my cell and still have enough excess current to charge the storage battery as well. The longer I use this backpack, the more I am disapointed with its performance.
------------------------------------------PREVIOUS UPDATE----------------------------------------
Well I have been using this backpack for 4 months now and it is ripped in a dozen places. I have had it repaired three time
now. I am not happy! Please do not buy this product. I am lucky I am traveling outside the US where there are many shops
that will repaire my backpack. In the US where there is no such repair shops, this backpack would have been completely useless and I would
have thrown it away after a few months of use. I do not recomend buying this backpack.
------------------------------------PREVIOUS UPDATE---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the winter I have not be able to test the solar charging feature. But the backpack fabric quality is terrible!
When I ordered this backpack, I picked the charcoal pennel. But I got an email from the seller telling me that they "accidentally"
shipped the silver pennel. They wanted to know if that is OK or I can wait two extra days and they will ship me the charcoal pennel.
I thought it's not a big deal so I say OK, I'll take the silver one.
Well when I got the backpack, it had a small wear near the pennel zipper that made it hard to zip an unzip the pennel pocket. I was not
happy but I did not want to deal with returning and reshipping so I let it go. I know, I can not say for sure that they intentionaly sent me
faulty backpack but I am saying I did get a weird feeling in this case. If my subspicion is correct, I think it is extremely unprofessional of
them.
I had not used the backpack until a month ago when I went on a 200km biking trip. On this trip the backpack fabric torned (ripped) in three places.
All near the front pocket. It was not the threading that got ripped. It was the fabric near the threading area the got ripped) Fortunately, I was traveling in an Asian city where they can repair backpack. Thus I had it repaired and it seems fine.
but I have to be very carefull to not load the backpack too much again.
I owned two other non-solar backpacks and I regularly overloaded ( to a much higher degree than I loaded the solar backpack) them for a year now and it never ripped.
It is winter time so I have not fully test the solar charging feature but where I was biking, there considerable sun light and my cell phone
almost completely drain the battery in the backpack. Thus at this point I don't have much confident in the solar charging feature but I will
wait until summer time to test in full direct sunlight and I will give an update. Very happy with my purchase! Great quality pack, excellent construction and the solar panels and battery are top quality. my only complaint is it needs more internal space a 15" macbook in neoprene skin only just fits into the rear laptop compartment, and I regularly carry 2 plus other items.

Pro: It has adapters for almost everything! nice sturdy panels, plenty pockets and lots of space.Works awesomely under the scorching Panamanian sun, finally getting something back out of all that sweating.
This backpack is light, carrying the battery and all of the extras it has.
You can separate the panels from the bag and put the panels where they can get more sunlight.
Cons: used the bag two times and it already ripped, i took it out just to walk around the city doing errands nothing too extreme and then I realized the second pocket from the panels back, just where the zipper starts, the stitches got loose and now I have like an Inch wide opening between the pocket and the zipper.
My phone(Samsung Galaxy S2) doesn't fit in the phone pocket on the shoulder strap.
TL;DR: Nice features, sturdy panels, lightweight, charges pretty fast under direct sunlight conditions, backpack could be better stitched. I will definitely go with a 2.0 version if it ever comes out.

Dakine 28-Litre Burnside Pack
The big problem I see is that this was designed to be a skateboard backpack. Problem is, the fabric the backpack is made of doesn't hold up well to the abrasiveness of skateboard grip tape. I've had this thing for less than two weeks and the fabric where the grip tape of my skateboard rests is already looking quite worn in spots and will surely rip eventually. Not good. On the area where the board is supposed to rest, the designers at Dakine should have reinforced the fabric with something more durable and resistant to abrasiveness.I got him the one with black stripes for Xmas, and he absolutely loved it. He skateboards, and we ride bikes so we are always needing extra space to carry our belongings. Our phones, our bike locks, and tools that way may need can all be carried securely in one of the many compartments. Dakine has great products. I'm currently looking for one that will fit me.

Cocoon CBP750GY Backpack, up to 17 inch laptop, 19.75 x 8.5 x 13.5 inch, Gray
It's kind of small, so don't expect to cram a ton of stuff in the main compartment. I kind of like this though since I tend to overload my bags, making my back strain pretty hard when bicycle riding or walking through terminals trying to catch a flight. Fits my MacBook Pro nicely, with enough room for my KindleDX, some books, and water bottles.
I really like the included Grid-It organizer in the smaller pocket, as this makes wrangling USB sticks, cables, etc much easier.
Seems like the construction is pretty tough so far. Most of the zippers have a strips of water resistant tape over them, which is a nice, especially when coupled with the built in rain hood. I wouldn't say that this is waterproof by any means, but its decent enough to ride for a while in the rain and not worry about sensitive electronics getting damaged.
Overall, I like the look, build, and function this backpack provides, just wish that they would make a bigger model for longer trips.

When I decided to purchase a 17 inch laptop, I put zero consideration into how I would haul it around. A messenger bag style case was not comfortable, and couldn't accommodate all the other junk I need to carry on a daily basis. I will say that if I don't have my other items packed just so, it is a tad tight to zip the bag around the laptop. That could just be because I carry too much stuff, but I think the bag could stand to be just a smidge taller. There is an inset on the bag which is a weird material that I don't love, but is certainly not a deal breaker. Overall, comfortable to carry, roomy and well made. Would purchase again. I am interested to see how it holds up to my daily use.So I bought this backpack back at the end of August for school use. I have 8 days of school left and the backpack has held up decently. Now the first problem that I immediately encountered with this pack is that the main pocket was rather small and couldn't fit all my books easily, although, through a combination of stretching the fabric and better space management it isn't too bad. I can comfortably carry all my notebooks, folders and my math book. The front compartment is pretty great though, it carries my school ID, pencils, calculator and some other things very well. The pocket on the vinyl patch on the front is ok for a book or something like that, but that's all I've ever bothered to use it for. The media pocket on the top is a bit of a hassle to put up with when something's in it because it is housed on the inside of the main pocket, so when my phone is in it and I'm trying to put my math book away it can be a problem. I usually keep my math book in the laptop compartment because it seems to have some extra room, but I have housed my laptop in it and it was just fine. My final complaint is that the mesh bottle holders have weakened over the months of me putting bottles in them everyday. I occasionally have one fall out on me when I'm picking up my bag. Despite all the ragging I've done on this bag, it has served me well, only showing some minor rips and tears here and there and some cuts on the vinyl. To be honest this is a good backpack for just your laptop, I just carried my laptop in it before and it worked very well. I just feel like there are better options for school. Also, the included cocoon grid-it is pretty useful.

Central Park Sport – CBP750Sport BackpackUp To 17" Laptops
I bought this backpack on sale at the manufacturer's website for 50% discount. Since it has a one-year warranty, I accepted that I would use this to failure while looking for another backpack for my needs. That was about a year ago, and after using this backpack extensively for hauling officework, my 15.4" laptop, lunch, and groceries on the way home all by walking over three miles a day, it has yet to fail, which is why I'm mildly amazed.
I'm not fond of the front panel or the bottom panel of the backpack. The manufacturer's, Amazon.com's, and SmartOne's websites don't indicate the material of the pack. It appears to be nylon material for most of the backpack and possibly TPU on the front and bottom panels.
TPU is a thermoplastic polyurethane hybrid material of hard plastic and soft silicone. This material has lasted through all four seasons without cracking or weathering, but has not yet seen the extreme arctic temperatures in the next few weeks where it is headed.
Every inch of the cavernous compartments are filled to capacity by using packing cubes and rolling clothing and socks to fill any empty spaces. Even the top compartment dedicated for media storage (i.e., iPod Touch with an exit port for the headphones) is stuffed with small, hard-cased items. I have yet to fly out but still the overfilled backpack has not failed.
I'm thinking of taking this backpack on travel excursions more often for business in the future until it finally does fail from the hard use and abuse I give it.
I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a spacious daypack fast and doesn't mind window shopping for a better quality backpack at the same time to replace it. If you use a daypack alot, especially walking daily with it to work and anywhere else, including abuse (I haven't packed it with wrapped bricks yet for the GoRuck Challenge), the Cocoon Central Park Sport will last you at least a year.

CalPak Impactor Wheeled Backpack
After all, I am still very happy with my purchase. I give it 5 stars and recommend it.My 9-year-old son is very hard on backpacks -he rides on them, throws them, and even occasionally uses them to bring his books home for homework. When his last one expired, I looked around for a backpack that might last through Elementary School (2 more years after this one). I think this one might do it. The handle seems a bit wobbly when extended but seems to hold together well -just loosely joined. The zipper has survived some good jams and the fabric has made it through mud, rain, and fights. For the price range, this is a good backpack.

High Sierra Evolution 34-Inch Drop Bottom Wheeled Duffel
This bag is a bit bigger than your typical large travel duffel. When it first arrived, I made two quick conclusions:
What I thought was red was quite orange
The zipper clearly was no YKK. It rode rough.
That being said, the configuration was different than what I was used to, and I embarked on adjusting.
Upsides: There is a bottom compartment that can be used to flat long things like pants, shirts, or could be used as the 'garbage dump' for dirty clothes. Also, there are two end compartments that can be used for shoes. The only downside to these two features is that they eat into the wide open space in the center of the storage space.
Downsides: The wheels are too small for my liking. It makes a LOT of loud noise when rolling over pavement. It tends to want to flip around more than duffels with slightly larger wheels. The zipper zips rough and I feel worried that it may not hold up. The bag is just a bit longer than your average airport luggage rack. It will hang over. The price to be paid for an extra large duffel.
All said and done, the bag itself hasn't failed me or disappointed me, though if I had it to do again I would look more closely at other options. The price point and design is what snagged me. I started by rating the bag a 4, but by the time I finished the review and looked back, I changed it to a 3. That's rare for me, so take that in account that my initial thought was a 4. Maybe a 3.5 would be best .
Feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I'll do my best to answer the same day.I go back and forth to Pennsylvania attending various livestock functions and always seem to bring back a whole lot of items. Everything fits in this case easily.Stands up to TSA handing. Only complaint is that when it is left alone you need to lean it up against a rail or something.Easy to spot in baggage area. My family was impressed about how much I could stuff in there and still be under the 50 lbs limit.

This is a really nice duffel bag. I has a very large bottom compartment and I particularly like the end compartments for shoes and quick access items. The front pocket is fairly large and would be perfect for power cables and such. The handle is nice with some strong velco and I really like the snaps to hold the bottom tighter and provide some compression if needed. The bottom of the top section also zips out which is nice so you can use it like a regular duffel if you desire. The handle is sturdy and the wheels roll smoothly. My only complaint is the price seems a little high, but either way I cannot find another duffel this nice anywhere local, so I will be ordering another for an upcoming trip out of the country. I do wish it had the backpack straps that some of the other High Sierra bags have, but it does not :( Overall I am very pleased.Tuesday, January 14, 2014

I have a little guy that LOVES to tie things together. He takes the laces from his shoes and ties them to the charging cord from his DS then loops it around his toy helicopter you get the idea. He's ruined TONS of drawstring backpacks that he really needs to hold his swimsuit and towel for swim class at his elementary school. This backpack is PERFECT! It has padded, adjustable shoulder straps, not 'strings' so he cant untie them and pull them out of the loops and start playing! It folds down to practically nothing just like a regular drawstring backpack, so it takes up VERY little room and adds almost no weight to his already jam packed school backpack. it's easy for him to carry. it has LOADS of room and zippered pockets and a webbed elastic pocket.
