I bought this for my daughter who is just starting 1st grade, thinking it would be a fun backpack for her. Well, it's fun, and it's cute, but there's no way it could be used as a backpack in any serious sense of the word. This would barely hold a sack lunch. Still, she loves it, and says she wants to use it as a purse, and the price was relatively cheap, so I don't really have a lot to complain about. It just wasn't what I had expected, is all.

This is even bigger and nicer in person than I imagined. It's a gorgeous shade of blue and it looks very well made. The inside is well lined and it looks like it will hold up for years.

It's not a high quality product; however, it's also not particularly expensive. It's not a bag for adults, it's perfect for the 10-12 year old. We are happy with it and would order it again if necessary.

I bought this online at the beginning of the school year since I heard great reviews and t was pretty affordable.... Let me just say one thingThis backpack is BOSS! I received it in record time and I loved how it had a shipping thingy that let you track it :)

I bought the 'Houndstooth' since it was one of the cheaper patterns and I couldn't be happier! The only thing that made me a bit sad was that the zippers were green rather than pink, as displayed in the picture. However, I have grown to love the color! The inside is somewhat of a circular floral pattern with pixel-looking blocks and smaller flowers here and there. The background is neon green to match the zippers, but the flowers are hot pink and orange, adding a nice pop of color to the otherwise plain pack.

Now onto the pockets (which display the same bright pattern described above)there are a total of 6, along with a few inner pockets within pockets (pocketception!) and a laptop sleeve inside. The top pocket is positioned at the little handle where the straps meet at the top. It is lined with a velvety kind of material and is meant for sunglasses, but who caries sunglasses to school really? I found that it is perfect to carry your phone, iPod, or other small personal items in. ( Ladies... ;] ) The next pocket is the main one on the front. it has 2 velvet-lined pockets in the middle for your devices, 3 pen/pencil holders, and a zipper pocket for materials. Seeing as I use the top pocket for my devices, I use the little inner pockets for my ID and whatnot...But those little guys work good for your phone as well!

The last pockets are the front pocket (a open slot in the front without a zipper, best used for pencils and other items you take out often), The two side pockets (One has a mesh little pop-out with a draw string to hold a water bottlesuper handy! The other does not have one, so it is great for snacks!) and the AMAZING insulated pocket! Oh my gosh, this thing rocks! It is lined with the same material used in lunch bags, and keeps food cold! However, I do not like the placement. Seeing as it is on the front, your sandwich may be squished or your soda may made your bag appear bulky and awkward. Still a pretty cool feature for a backpack, though.

A few other cool thingsThe straps have a memory-foam type stuff in themNo more sore shoulders! :) And this pack seems like it is made for women in mindNo more squished boobs! The straps are shaped so they don't go right across your chest. And lastly, this brand comes in a variety of stylish shapes and colors so you will be sure to find one that fits you just right!

A few other NOT so cool thingsThe bottom is rounded, which gives it a nice look, but it makes it hard to stand up straight and not fall over. :( The shape also makes it look a little...large. even when I only have a few spirals and a binder in it, the rounded shape makes it balloon out and make me look like a little turtle. Which is cute and all, but I wish the material was little less stiff so it wouldn't pop out or dent inwards when zipped shut.

It has a ton of pockets, adorable pattern on the inside, a nice shape, and durable build! I would totally recommend this to anyone who needs a bag that supplies comfort and storage space! Happy Shopping!!

I received my backpack in a timely mannner. I think I even got it a day earlier than Amazon predicted. I was very impressed with the quality and size. At first it may look as if it won't fit much, but once you start piling things in there you'll realize that it holds a lot! I'm a college student, so it is very important to have a heavy duty backpack that can also keep my stuff nice and organized. It even has a compartmet for my sunglasses, which I have found most useful. And to top it all off, it is super cute! You may think its a bit pricey, but I've paid similar amounts for other bags that didn't offer nearly as much as this one. A great investment!

I think this is my very first review on Amazon ever. I am writing because this bag is that awesome. I searched forever for a simple, lightweight bag that I could wear while biking short distances on errands or for a day trip that would not swivel around dangerously. This is it. I adore this bag and am considering getting another for good measure. No you can't fit tons of items, but that's what a full backpack or messenger bag is for. This is ideal for: wallet, glasses, keys, cell, paperback and small water bottle etc. It's PERFECT and exactly what I have been searching for. Maybe it is a little pricey, but this is an extremely sturdy little bag with two separate compartments and a well cushioned strap. Aesthetically it's small and unassuming, which I appreciate. It would be useful I think for short hikes or touristy stuff too...

This is actually my favorite brand of bag. I have their suitcases and backpacks as well. This was not marketed as a biking accessory and I only wish I thought to check with Victorinox sooner!

It just arrived today. I was unsure about purchasing it because I didn't know if it could hold my Kindle (which I take everywhere) and a few other items. It got here and my Kindle fits nicely inside it with its case and it also has room for me to put maybe a handheld game in there too! It's the right size, nothing too big nothing too small and the frontal pocket can hold my phone or something of the like. When you read "Wire-Enforced strap" you may have wondered what that meant, well, the strap has a wire going trough the middle of it. It's not visible, but you can tell that it's sturdy. This means that if you go somewhere and someone tries to cut the strap to steal from you, it won't be easy to cut and give you time to save your pack. The zippers can push into these little areas where you can make them seem like they're hidden, which also protects from theft. There is a pocket on the strap as well that is kind of small, it definitely can't fit my iPhone, but something small like maybe cash, or a credit card would fit very nicely! And maybe keys would, too. But It's perfect! Please leave comments if you have questions that I didn't include. I'll try to answer them if I can!

I didn't know that Victorinox is a division of Swiss Gear, therefore was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of this "Tear Drop Monosling." The well-designed pack (for men & women) features the distinctive red Swiss Gear embossed metal logo, a padded shoulder strap w/ built-in pocket, reinforced with wire for security, and a large enough main compartment for essential items. I carry green bags for further shopping, folded, they fit inside the bag nicely. Unfortunately, in the faux city where I live, so few people walk rather than drive that if you wear a large backpack, you're gonna get mistaken for a street-resident. This efficient, durable, elegant pack avoids misunderstandings; great after I bought a cheap pack that fell apart. You can't go wrong here.

This is the second Victorinox Monosling bag I have purchased for my wife. She likes taking it everywhere, especially when traveling because it keeps everything safe and protected from the elements.

The air mac, even with the see thru hard case on slips right in to this sleeve. Looks and feels like real animal print. Can't tell that there is a laptop inside, and oh so fashionalble.

Expensive, but a great bag. The design really creates the illusion of a real inter-office envelope. I leave my Air at work in a pile with paperwork, and no one in the night cleaning crew (not that they would steal anything, but in some places that might be a concern) has no clue there is a computer there. And the look of delight on my co-workers' faces when I pull the Air out never grows old.

I was really excited when I ordered this item for my MacBook Air 13. When I received it today, I was a little disappointed with the color and overall appearance. It's more orangey than the online photo suggests, and less old-school envelope than I was expecting. The stitching around the edges wasn't clearly pictured, and kind of takes away from the overall effect in real life. Not sure if I will keep it or return it for a different option.

On the plus side, though, it fits the 13 inch MacBook Air like a glove, and seems pretty well made!

Manhattan Portage Cordura Hiker Backpack

Im heavy on Manhattan portage gear, and I love the culture and design and quality that goes into these bags... the bag can hold a size 13 shoebox, a 15 inch macbook pro, it's charger, a book, some hygenic gear (in the pouch) and a few small items ALL AT ONCE! The Coudura fabric isnt waterproof, but it dries quickly when SOAKED in the new jersey rain, and hose damn straps, it keeps everything compressed, along with the drawstring under it. but why do i give this bag a four? I i wish it was better organizing my stuff. A strap inside of it would be nice, or some reflectors on the exterior of the bag. i mean this bag is like 120 bones! why not?! This bag provides back support, and promotes good posture, but that dosent mean that you shpould keep this bag on all day when ur carring like 5 textbooks and your laptop. This bag is clearly inspired by the bags serious hikers wear, and the bags our troops fighting overseas use for their own gear. I LOVE THIS BAG.

Manhattan Portage bags are amazing. They last forever, they're inexpensive, you can wash them, they're waterproof and the cordura looks good after years of use. I have this bag, a satchel, and a hip pack. Highly recommended...and no animal products used

Scooby Doo Large Rolling Backpack - Shaggy

I was very excited to order this for my son; he loves Scooby and needed a new backpack for a trip we were about to take.

We've used it all of 3 weeks and there is already a hole in one of the seams, some of the piping is worn down, and one of the Scooby dog tags has fallen off [despite my noticing it was loose and tightening the loop]. And we're not talking about hard use here: he used it to transport toys on a car trip, and he's used it for 2 camps to carry his stuff to and fro.

Otherwise, it's fairly roomy, seems to roll ok, and the handle slides up and down fine. We've never tried the wheel cover, but another complaint I have is that it tips forward making it a pain to load up and causing it to fall all over the place.

All in all, I'm highly disappointed with this product, and would return it if I could. :(

My sister asked for a Scooby Doo backpack for my nephew. I did some research and found out from the reviews that the larger one was the way to go. I'm glad I did. He loves it. The cover for the wheels is a plus and keeps the clothes clean. It's a very good quality as well.

I used this to hike through a canyon where I had to swim through some parts. It worked well. The backpack style is very convenient and frees your hands for swimming, catching your balance, etc. It even assisted in the swimming because it helped me float some. I would, however, recommend NOT getting a clear one if you have pencils, etc., because the plastic is a bit thinner than an opaque style. But, if you are careful, this bag will work fine.

Many reviews on this comment on the smell; perhaps some are more sensitive to the particular initial smell, but I only noticed it slightly for an hour or two, and my young daughter who gags at most every smell that is not baking-cookies perfect, held it up to her face and said nothing. So for us, it is a non issue and today it is 3 feet from me at the moment and I smell nothing. If someone is sensitive, perhaps a day or two in the garage unzipped and propped over a vase or something should do the trick, or perhaps soaking in mild soapy water and air drying for a day...

But I am happy with the purchase. It provides nice cushion protection for my 17" macbook pro, will be perfect for airport security, and I picked up the smaller version for my bamboo tablet, since it was almost the exact size of the new-package sleeve for that tablet. Can't beat the price point, and it probably deserves 5 stars for the price category. It would just be nice if it had an extra compartment for the power chord is all -

Misleading description. 17" laptop did not fit. Good quality sleeve but did not help in my case. I liked the material

and the zip does not open all the way so your laptop if it is 17" might get scratches while putting it in.

DAKINE Girl's Wonder Pack

this is a really SUPER day-pack! if you're looking for a regular backpack to haul loads of books and your laptop around campus, this is not gonna be your first choiceit definitely won't hold more than a couple of textbooks and a notebook or two, and the only size computer you could fit would be a netbook. I purchased this bag to use as a day-pack in Disney World, and it was the best I could have ever hoped for! I managed to catch it on sale, and really, it holds a lot more than you would think! and the secret sunglass pocket was big enough to hold my phone, camara, ipod AND my shades.

I bought this bag for college, and yes, it's on the smaller side. I can't fit my laptop in it, and I can't fit very many books. HOWEVER.... I made a trip to NYC recently and packed 3 days worth of clothing and toiletries, and had plenty of room for all the stuff I bought also. I was amazed at how much clothing I could fit! So, bottom line, DON'T buy this bag if you need to carry a lot of school stuff, but DO buy this bag if you need a good overnight backpack for a trip!

Excellent quality and craftsmanship are found in this product. Zippers match up and flow smoothly. All the seams match up. There are pockets for everything; sunglasses water bottles etc. My 4th grader has no problem carrying all books, materials and a lunch box within this backpack. I was expecting a smaller backpack, but the bigger size was fine. It is normal backpack size, but doesn't hold as much as a normal backpack. I used it to hold things on our anniversary trip to Eureka Springs. I didn't want to bother with a purse because we were doing so much walking. It held everything I needed and it was very comfortable! I would recommend this!

I use a backpack everyday , and this by far is the best I've ever used, I love the design and the pockets. Very durable , jansport did not disappoint me :). Comfortable, sleek, easy to use, plenty of space. I am a college student and use it to carry three textbooks my surface pro and a notebook along with calculator and other normal supplies. Its also difficult to find a backpack with a sling strap that can hold this much, have a water bottle holder, and still be under the well known name of Jansport!
