I slip this thing in and out of my briefcase three to four times a day, sometimes its charger, my leatherman, a spare set of headphones for wife. All of a sudden all of my little extras have a home, and it has impacted my life in a significant way. My hair has gotten thicker, and more luscious since I bought his product, it is that good.

For a while I had a portable hard drive in the middle of it (2.5" 1TB), and it held in there day in and day out. It had to make way for things like scissors, and a mini-stapler. man i love that mini-stapler.

If you want to get organized, buy this product. At the very least you will look the part.

I'm a knitter and usually the first ten minutes of knit time is spent untangling balls of yarn from each other. Now I can slip the yarn project, needles, cable needles, pencils, instructions, and what-have-you into the cocoon. Now when I sit down to knit all I have to do is pull out the cocoon and I'm ready to start knitting. Yay!

After reading a review I wasn't sure if this thing was going to workout, but I threw the dice. I must say I am happy with my purchase. I put all stuff that was in the various pockets of my backpack in/on the Cocoon and it slides right in the notebook slot in the pack. Big question when originally ordering was what size to get. The 12x8 is a good size to start with.

This product is a very clever and useful item making organization simple and easy. Instead of having a pile of crap I have to sort through in my laptop case, I can now pull this out and take off what I need, instead of digging for gold everytime I need something. The size is perfect for my laptop bag, they have several sizes so be sure to measure and make sure of the size you need. My one piece of advice is make sure the items you put on here are TIGHT, it took me a while to realize the items have to be super tight or they get knocked off as you are taking the coccoon in and out of the bag. I was trying to be careful not to break the bands but don't worry they will take it, just get it tight!

If I wanted something for packing in a suitcase, this would be great. It's not so good for a backpack, since there is nothing to protect your items from contact with whatever else you've got in there.

I was really excited when I ordered this item for my MacBook Air 13. When I received it today, I was a little disappointed with the color and overall appearance. It's more orangey than the online photo suggests, and less old-school envelope than I was expecting. The stitching around the edges wasn't clearly pictured, and kind of takes away from the overall effect in real life. Not sure if I will keep it or return it for a different option.

On the plus side, though, it fits the 13 inch MacBook Air like a glove, and seems pretty well made!

I researched camera bags that are also "backpacks" or day-trip bags for a long time before purchasing; I never saw a review for this particular bag anywhere online, so I felt I needed to leave a review for anyone else considering it. What I needed was a bag that would securely hold my camera (Canon Rebel T2i) but that didn't look like a "camera bag" (for safety reasons), that has space for personal items (water bottle, snack, guidebook, wallet, etc.), that was comfortable to wear for hours at a time, and that fit me and felt secure (so it wouldn't be stolen off of me). Overall, I am very happy with this bag. My camera does not move or shift in the padded space. The bag does not look like a traditional "camera bag"; the attractive rust-orange color helps with that, as does the slimmer size. There is a side mesh pocket for a water bottle, though my taller bottle fell out a couple times while taking the bag on and off; I was able to fit a small guidebook, map, snack, passport, and tissue pack in the personal space area at top with no trouble (and still had room in the dedicated camera-area, as I did not travel with extra camera accessories). The strap is nicely padded and comfortable. The length and width of this bag was perfect for me to wear (I'm 5'3"; similar bags by Vanguard and other makers seemed too long when I measured them for me). This bag has an additional narrow strap that can be buckled into the one padded strap for extra security; I used this strap often while traveling through crowded Barcelona and on the metro. Additionally, I really like how this bag swings around so I can access the camera; this is easy enough to do (I'm right-handed) and I primarily use this side zipper to get at the camera, as opposed to the front pocket (which is very securely closed and buckled). I don't think the bag is completely water-proof; after being in the rain for about an hour or so there was some minor wetness to the guidebook in the top personal space area, though not in the dedicated camera space.

I love this pack. I wanted something that I could access without removing, so a backpack was out. The messenger bag gets old carrying after a while. A waist pack is too small and looks silly. So a sling pack was perfect.

I researched a lot and tried a couple on that I could find local before ordering this one. I'm glad I picked this one. Size-wise its in-between the small and medium lowepro slings so its a good compromise if you can't decide between those two.

It holds snug enough on my body that when walking it doesn't bounce around. I love being able to swing it around and pull the camera out quickly, it takes less than 5 seconds if you rush but not much more taking your time. If I have to I can swap lenses without taking it off too, but I prefer to set it down to perform this just in case.

Inside it has more than enough room for my Nikon D5100, attached lens, 2 extra lens, and accessories. The dividers are movable and removable so I can rearrange the compartments if needed.

A big factor as to why I chose this bag over the others was the pack doesn't scream "I have a nice expensive camera inside" to the casual observer. It looks just like a day pack that could hold anything. Also the excess fabric from the straps is contained with velcro and elastic which is nice.

If I could add one thing it would be tripod straps, but I knew it didn't have them when I ordered it, so I'll live. I can add them if I need to.

Overall this is the best accessory for my camera thus far.

Bought this for my first DSLR (Canon Rebel T2i) and very happy with my purchase. The bag is compact (a little smaller than I expected, but I didn't check the exact measurements when I bought it), it's well-designed and puts me at ease carting my camera around. The sling design with easy-access compartments works really well. The main compartment has space for the camera with zoom lens attached (i have a 55-250mm and it could fit something slightly longer) plus a sub-compartment for one standard lens it's a snug fit for my 18-55mm, which means I have to keep the zoom lens either attached to the camera in the main compartment, or in the other top compartment where it wouldn't be as well protected, especially if I want to keep other accessories in there. That's my only issue, but if you're just carrying around 2 lenses it's sufficient. I paid $35 which seems a pretty fair price for the size, I wouldn't have wanted to pay more than that. Overall a good buy.

I bought this because we were going on a trip that would involve small children and lots of walking. My camera bag was an over the sholder type and I needed something less bulky and easier to carry. This really delivered in that department. I would have given it 5 stars, but there were a couple of things (probably minor) I didn't like about it.

Pros:

Great over the shoulder, sling pack.

I loved that I could just twist it from my back around to my front and have easy access to my camera through the side zipper.

It can be adjusted to fit snuggly and even strapped around your waist to be even more secure.

Seemed to be pretty roomy if you only need to carry your basic SLR and one lens in the bottom half of the pack. The top half would probably hold one more if that were the only thing stored in the top.

It does not have the "valuable camera and accessories stored in here" appearance, so I felt more secure with it.

Padded nicely.

Compact and a great price.

Cons:

There is not much divided space in either compartment. I had to rip out the velcro pads from my other camera bag to make this bag fit my needs.

There is no "fuzzy material" that the camera bag pads velcro to on the sides of the bag, only on the back. This made any of the pads I put in flimsy and not as secure as I would like. I plan to remedy that myself by stitching some in.

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, I would buy it again if I had a choice because it really is a nice bag for the price.

I bought this duffel bag thinking it would be different in terms of quality from the other bags, the design is cool but the quality of the product itself is no big deal, the side pockets broke inside and the bag is deteriorating faster than I thought and I was carrying the normal stuff you would expect to have into a MMA bag, headguard, mma gloves, gi, etc, etc, nothing very heavy. As I said, this is a very strange laptop backpack.

Here's what I like:

It's kind of a briefcase turned on its side so you can wear it as a backpack. The construction quality, as always with Arc'Teryx, is top-notch. It's also very professional-looking. You could carry this to a business meeting using the side handle, and few people would notice it's actually a backpack.

The straps are great. Well-padded and structured. The framesheet is awesome, too. Makes it really supportive.

The laptop "sling" is a great alternative to padded bags. You get great protection without bulky padding.

Here's what I don't like:

The storage is barely accessible. The zippers are way too short; they don't even go the full length of the pockets. If all you are doing is inserting manila folders, you'll find it works fine. But I can't even figure out how you would put a pen in some of the pen slots, much less clothes. Even dropping your power brick in the main pocket is more awkward than it should be.

The laptop pocket is also hard to get at. You really have to squeeze your hand into the pocket to fasten the velcro retaining strap. It's badly-sized for my 14" ThinkPad.

The back is actually quite large, too. It's thin, but the length and width are pretty big. I would not call this compact by any stretch.

All in all, it's not worth $150. It may be well-built, but it is ill-conceived. I'm sending it back.

To sum it up, this pack is excellent on your back, but only offers moderate protection for your gear. Don't get me wrong, it is padded and protected alright, just not anywhere near as well as the competition. But Clik-Elite is getting a little better in this regard.

I'm in the midst of an African trip where my luggage is getting a real workout. It carries all the gear I need (Canon 5DII w/grip, 100-400mm lens, 70-200, 16-35, 50mm, plus flash, tele-extender,and small tripod with head. Filters and accessories I've put in the extra top compartment, in their own padded organizer pouches, and there is still plenty of room for jacket, food, etc. in the large top compartment. The design is excellent for those who want to take some clothes, lunch, maybe a book, along with the camera gear. I also have taken it carry-on with no problems on a variety of aircraft.

My gear has remained in good shape, but I am careful how I set the pack down, and generally don't let anyone else handle it (tough in Africa where everyone wants to help with your luggage).

Tripod attaches on the side (if it's small), or when hiking and/or with a larger tripod (like my cxpro3), it's best to put it on the back of the pack, where it rides very nicely, no swinging.

So again, know what Clik-elite does well: make packs that one can wear all day on a hike or climb. Try that with the cubical packs made my the other big brands, and you're likely to be thrown off a ridge by the swinging weight, or give up and take it off with aching shoulders. If Clik-elite can get the protection thing down without compromising their excellent comfort, they will be all alone in the field of camera backpacks.

This is a great big, but it's very large. I liked it a lot, and got it on sale, but I ended up selling it on eBay and buying the Obscura, it's still a little larger that I'd prefer but fits the bill much better than the Venture 35 did. Never even removed the tags from the Venture.

Offers excellent protection for your gear and plenty of room. Would be great for a professional with a lot of equipment I'm sure, but I needed quicker access to my equipment and I had to completely remove the bag to get my camera out without fear of something else falling out despite several rearrangements of the internal compartments.

I gave this 4 stars because I know it would be excellent for someone with a full size camera and more professional than I. However, I'm only a novice with an APS-C camera (D5000), I needed a bag that was easier to travel, hike, and bike with and quicker to access on the go. For my uses I would probably have given this bag 2 stars, and only because it is of great build quality and very protective.

My dog chewed my previous backpack (Ful Tennman, same model in green), bought this as a replacement. It's a perfect pack for commuting to work with a laptop. There's room for the water bottle, space for bringing lunch to work. The pack is very expandable and can take a heavy load. I typically carry about 25-30 pounds during the commute (laptop, food, extra clothes, water, reading materials). Used the previous bag for about two years with no major wear and tear to the pack. I'm pretty gentle on my gears however. Zippers wear well and material is tough.

This is one of the best backpacks that I've ever bought. It is really well made and has a lot of space to put everything I need for a four hour commute every day. It has space for a laptop, iPad, misc cables, 3G card, hard drive, water bottle, umbrella, and plenty of misc other stuff.

The construction is excellent and it will really hold up to daily rugged use. The material feels firm and the stitching looks like it won't fall apart easily.

This is one bag that I would definitely buy again in the future!

I originally bought two of these years ago at Costco. They traveled around the world and back and were in great shape until just recently. I bought a third one 18 months ago when we needed an extra. Suggest Deuter should look into saving weight and increasing airflow on the back (some Ospreys seem to do this better). One more zipper in the mesh inner pockets of the upper small compartment would be welcomed. Besides the foregoing it delivers on what it is intended for.

This laptop case is just too big for a 13" Macbook Pro.

I ordered a medium, and the description says it should fit a 13" laptop computer,

but when I got the laptop case, I measured the size and it fits a 17".

This is a nice case, but the sizes are misleading. I ordered a medium case for a 15" MacBook, and it turned out to be too small. Not useful to have a waterproof case if you can't close it! I recommend ordering a size larger than you think you need.
