Vera Bradley Bookbag in Deco Daisy

Vera Bradley Bookbag in Deco DaisySo cute. The back pack was actually built a little sturdier than I expected. It has a water resistant, maybe water proof lining which was a nice surprise. And, we got it delivered fast!

Targus Drifter II Backpack Designed for 17-Inch Laptop TSB239US (Black/Gray)

Targus Drifter II Backpack Designed for 17-Inch Laptop TSB239USFirst I pretty much live out of my backpack, so its used all the time. I mostly use either a bicycle or a motorcycle to get myself around with the backpack holding everything I need. At a minimum I usually have a laptop and a change of clothes with me among other personal and work things in the backpack. I also occasionally travel and like being able to also fit everything I need for the trip in the pack so I don't need to hassle with checking in bags. So I want something that can work as a duffle bag, briefcase, laptop case and small suitcase.

I really liked my previous backpack which was a Rosewill RBG-1701BP. After more than a year of solid use it started fraying around the shoulder straps and worse developed a hole in the bottom corner of the main compartment. I would have just rebought the Rosewill, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be available anymore. So started the search for a replacement. Basically it was going to be a comparison against the Rosewill. Out of all the backpacks I considered the Targus Drifter II measured the best. Here is what was important to me and how the Targus measured up.

I'm 6'3" and want the bottom of the pack to ride more on my lower back, not the middle of my back so I wanted something at least 21". The Targus meets the length requirement, however when fully loaded up it didn't ride as comfortable as the Rosewill. Basically the weight road differently on my lower back than the Rosewill. I believe the reason is because of 2 things that Rosewill did a little different in their design. One is the way Rosewill layed out their back pads with the side pads going the length of the backpack. The Targus has shoulder pads with a big pad across the bottom. The second and more important reason is Rosewill adds structure stiffness within the back part of the backpack which causes the weight to be more evenly distributed along the side pads which again went along the entire length of the backpack. It also built a stiffness into the front of the backpack. This is also really nice when standing the backpack up. The Rosewill stands on its own. The Targus will fall over if nothing is inside to keep it up. This would be my first suggestion to Targus for feature improvement. By the way the Rosewill stiffness added no noticable weight to its backpack.

From a pocket perspective, they are pretty much comparable. Both provide extra padding for the laptop which I like although the laptop pocket is padded a tad better on the Rosewill. Targus does have one extra purse like pocket that I really like because of its convenience right at the top of the pack that Rosewill didn't have. A definite point for the Targus side.

The shoulder straps on the Rosewill were thicker with more padding which made them more comfortable than the Targus shoulder straps, however that is one area that also started fraying on the Rosewill. The Targus straps aren't that bad and over time I've become use to them.

Last obviously durability was important. I definitely didn't want a flimsy nylon bag. The materials used by Targus looks and feels durable. I like the water resistant bottom. Something that was missing from the Rosewill. So far I've been happy with how its holding up for the couple of months I've had it. We'll see how it wears over time.

** This is an update after using the backpack for a few months. The lack of stiffness in the bag has turned out to be a bigger inconvenience than I thought it would be. The bag folds over on itself with out a laptop in it which is annoying enough I would actually downgrade it a star. I would now not just recommend it as an improvement for me, but a requirement. The bag really needs some sort of rib support along the length of the back. Outside of that the bag is still wearing good.

This backpack will be my preferred (over my trusty attache) business travel bag with or without my need for a computer. Why, because you can easily fit a lot of "stuff" in it and carry it without inducing back strain.

I am a backpacker and have hiked extensively in the back country as well as climbed several 14,000 ft. peaks. I provide this as background since I am very familiar with backpacks.

The Targus Drifter, first and foremost, is sturdy yet lightweight, comparable to any great backpack. And the Drifter has many areas for storage, including water or drink bottles (those you would buy while traveling not the large bottles used in the back country). It also has a great ergonomically designed shoulder strap and an optional "lifting" strap (for use when having to remove your backpack for security, etc.)

My plan is to use this immediately as an alternative to my attache which does not hold my computer securely. Until now, I have had to use a separate bag for my computer and this has been getting more difficult with increasing airline restrictions on carry-on bags.

My 17 inch computer fits snugly and securely in the pack due to a padded compartment.

Great for students, those who travel extensively and need their laptop or iPad, and for those who want to wander into the wilderness with their computer.

I am currently going to school and also need a laptop bag... This backpack is AMAZING the only thing it does not have is a spot for the kitchen sink and an mp3 player pouch on the strap. It has several pockets and a hidden one inside the lower back cushion. Airflow is GREAT and while it does take some getting used to you only feel a portion of the weight!!! I would buy this thing for much more than i did!!! If you need to carry books and a laptop this is the bag! if you need just the laptop and accessories than look elsewhere. If you need more i would go with the XL. Currently I have 3 textbooks, 3 notebooks, A Wacom tablet (in it's case), a 15.6" laptop, several accessories, a change of clothes and a hoodie in mine and it's still comfortable!!! The only time i notice the weight is when getting on/off my bike or when putting on/removing the backpack!!!

So this backpack was my second choice as I already used the first one, Swiss Gear Ibex 17-Inch Notebook Backpack.

I thought this backpack was great as it has lots of storage area. It has cushions at the bottom of the backpack to protects everything inside from water, or any liquid that can enter from the bottom of the Targus Drifter II Backpack Designed for 17-Inch Laptop. The skin on the outside is water-resistant, 2 or even 4 water bottle holder, 2 outside and 2 zipper covered. (This can hold other stuff like AC Power cables as it is very roomy. The strap cushion is stuffed but not as much as I would like. There is enough room to hold multiple of items, books, laptop, another holder inside to keep ipad or even another laptop inside the main area. The top zipper area inside's that is under the handle is microfiber or similar material enforced.

Also the height of this backpack is similar to a double-edge sword. The height makes it harder to open and close. Also keeps it unbalanced and the tops of the backpack flops over.

The cons of this backpack are

The cushion inside for the laptop aren't as thick as I would like unlike the Swiss Gear Ibex 17-Inch notebook Backpack.

The "Designed for 17-Inch Laptop" or "Room to Fit All" does not fit all, my 15.3-Inch HP wiggles as the strap inside does not reach the inside of the sticky material for the strap.

The cushion for the backpack, the area where you would wear for this backpack, isn't as thick as you would like. Which also is a problem because the adjust clips always readjust itself when I would wear this backpack.

The backpack zippers are also a problem, sometime it would get jammed because the backpack is too tall so you would actually need to unzip it straight or stay aligned with the pathway.

This backpack also does not stay up straight with or without a spine (Laptop/ or any books inside). First day I left it on my desk, the backpack flipped and rolled over... My laptop was inside and would not start for a few hours. Safely for the laptop

isn't as well as the Swiss Gear Ibex 17-Inch Notebook Backpack.

I'm going to repurchase the Swiss Gear Ibex 17-Inch Notebook Backpack, as I had to return it once. Still was one of the best backpack I have ever used as a student, or even for technology.

Swiss Gear Ibex 17-Inch Notebook Backpack: 15 x 9.8 x 18.9 inches ; 3.8 pounds

Targus Drifter II Backpack Designed for 17-Inch Laptop: 14.6 x 7.9 x 20.1 inches ; 2.8 pounds

I am a computer professional and I have carried a laptop to and from work every day for the past 15 years. In addition I have traveled for work and my work is demanding enough that I even take my laptop on vacation. I have used more laptop bags than I can remember. Due to my constant use; I am pretty hard on them and so I have become pretty picky as well. I liked the design of this bag online. It arrived yesterday and I took it out of the plastic tried one of the zippers only to find that it caught on the material as soon and it moved from one angle to another. Thinking it was just that zipper, I tried another...after testing four of the zippers each catching there was no way I was keeping this bag. I would have a broken zipper or torn material exposing the compartment in a matter of weeks if not days. I would say that the issue is either a design flaw for a manufacturing defect, either way I wasn't going to waste my hard earned money. It is going back today!

This is a BEAUTIFUL case for my 17.3 laptop. I am actually glad that it was a little bigger so that all of my stuff could fit inside. The scenery is really kewl; I was looking for something without the typical loud colors, something more subdued...this was my answer! For the smell that folks commented on, I just placed a laundry sheet inside for a day or two. Amazon once again has come thru!

I was looking for a simple case that coule carry my 17" laptop, a mouse and the power cord. Most cases have far too many compartments and are too bulky. This one SEEMED to be the answer. But not quite. It has no handle and no specific place for the power cord or mouse. It does protest the laptop, but I am still looking for one similar but with handles that si the correct size for a 17" computer. It seems as though there are many for 10", 15" and 19" but very few for 17" machines.

New Balance Unisex Adult Endurance Duffle Bag

New Balance Unisex Adult Endurance Duffle BagI agree completely with the previous reviewer that noted that this bag feels like it cost a dollar to make (if that) I really expected more from a New Balance product. I'm pretty sure that this thing will fall apart after even limited use I suggest looking elsewhere for your gym bag needs....

I wish there was a a better description of this bag. I had no idea it was going to be so tiny! this thing can barely carry a pair of shoes! And as other reviews have said it is super thin and not durable. Unless you need a small bag for make up or something i would not purchase

Just got this bag in the mail and it is exactly what I wanted. Great for a carry on, gym bag, or overnight bag. It seems small enough to carry anywhere but can pack a lot of stuff. The only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't seem to be completely weather resistant, but I wasn't looking for that when I made this purchase. Otherwise it seems like the perfect, cute little bag

This is a pretty small little bag and is pretty much what I wanted. It has lots of places to put different stuff which is nice, but it just feels cheaply made. I don't think this will end up being too durable. For 20 bucks I say find something better, this one feels like it cost a dollar to make and weighs next to nothing.

Want New Balance Unisex Adult Endurance Duffle Bag Discount?

My old gym bag was about the same size, maybe a little smaller, but it lasted through *years* of rough use.

The material of this bag is much weaker compared to my older bag. Subjected to substantially similar use, this bag didn't perform nearly as well because, 1) the *first* time I took it to the gym, the base seam of the zippable external pocket ripped open; and 2) after nine months, the material at the base of the carrying strap has begun to tear on one side. Given it has served for nine months, it gets two stars instead of one.

In short, I can't recommend it. I've had much better bags than this one for about the same amount of money and expect I will again soon. I will be buying a replacement in the near term and I will not be considering a New Balance brand bag.

Targus Grove Notebook Backpack

Targus Grove Notebook BackpackThis backpack is simply great! I bought the Grove 4 years ago in an Office Depot, not knowing what I was buying really. Let me list the places I've gone and the things I've done with this bag:

1) To school every single day for 2 whole years.

2) I've taken this bag on intense, 3 day hikes through rain, mud, and sand.

3) Carry-on for multiple trips.

4) As a night sack when I'm invited to sleep as a guest.

To be honest, this bag has been through almost everything with me.

Pros:

1) Holds well against water.

I've only had one time when the contents were soaked and that was when I left it in the pouring rain for approximately 2.5-3 hours. Other than that, I've gone through pouring (Florida) rain for up to 5-6 minutes; I'm soaked, but my notebook is safe and dry.

2) Plenty of space for your average job.

The Grove can hold a laptop, 3 textbooks, 2 notebooks (paper), all your laptop needs (charger, mouse, usb drive), a small reading book, an iPod, a water bottle, anything. At that point, it does get bulky, but it'll hold strong.

3) The water bottle holders on the left and right pockets actually hold a 16.9 fl oz water bottle pretty well, even if running to class.

4) VERY durable exterior.

Even with four years of heavy use, the bottom of the bag is only beginning to lose it's tough plastic shell, meaning the inner material is still going strong.

5) Zippers are dependable.

I've never had a problem with the zippers. I have a colorful strap that I use to identify my bag when zipping in a hurry, I've zipped over it by accident so many times and with enough force got it unstuck the zipper is still just as smooth and dependable as when I first bought it.

6) Wide opening.

When fully unzipped, it allows for a very wide opening to place all of your belongings inside.

7) Good padding.

Even after 4 years, I can still feel the soft padding. It does not go flat like other bags.

Cons

1) The front strap buckle is cheap plastic. It broke about a year in, carrying a very heavy bag. While not such a major big deal, it does make carrying 35-45 pounds of gear less comfortable and lets the bag swing from side to side when running. I have to hold the bag with my arm when I'm running so I don't get tossed around.

2) Inside material tough, but not indestructible. As with most bags, the inside individual compartments eventually give away. I only have a tiny whole between the 1st and 2nd compartments, so it's not so major.

All in all, a great and VERY dependable bag.

EDIT:

1/30/13

So my Backpack finally broke. Everything was fine, except for the main zipper where the teeth actually detached from the body of the bag. The bag still held everything in place even though the zipper was only closed on ONE side! However, because of possible wetness issues, I decided to buy a new one. So I bought a new one yesterday and it arrived today.

A lot of changes have happened. The second compartment no longer has a zipper within it. I use to really appreciate the double space in the second compartment. The right side of the bag no longer has a zipper compartment. My old one had a zipper compartment on both sides; this one only has it on the left side. The material still feels good and it should hold up for now. I'll update further is anything else changed in quality.

Targus Grove Notebook BackpackI've had my Targus Grove backpack for many years; just a top performer. Sturdy, intelligently designed and able to take a beating without complaint. Have hauled it to work everyday, on airplanes, travel both domestically and abroad and almost everywhere I go. It holds everything I could possibly need on trip. Terrific as a carry one. Just saw someone who had the same one in Hong Kong. We both agreed what a great bag it is. Highly recommended. I'd love to get another, but this one never dies!

This is actually my 2nd one as I wore the first one out after about 5 years of heavy use. In that time it carried everything from laptops, electronics, and clothes to heavy groceries. When the last one died I tried several others as none of my local stores carried this backpack but they couldn't compare to the Targus so back they went. I've had the new one for around 4 months and all is good. If history repeats it self I have another 4 and a half years left of good use and knowing me it will get every bit of use possible out of it in that time.

Want Targus Grove Notebook Backpack Discount?

I have a messenger bag that I've been using for my 13" MacBook air and it works great. The only issue is that it's a small bag that doesn't accommodate much extra. I found myself wanting a larger bag, but still relatively small so that I can carry my laptop, accessories, books, ... So I selected the Grove Bag from Targus. The price for the bag was great; when I got it is was about $33 and that included shipping. Note, I've only had this bag about a month, so I can't yet review it's durability.

PROS: So far I've liked the bag. There is plenty of space for my laptop, some books and all the usual accessories. I even put my lunch bag inside the backpack. The straps are sturdy and are comfortable when wearing. The material appears sturdy as well. There's an outside pocket on the side that can fit keys, sunglasses, etc. There's mesh pocket on the other side that will fit a water bottle or a small fold-up umbrella. There's a padded laptop section and several spots inside for all your stuff.

CONS: The one thing that could be improved is the padded laptop section. There's a strap that goes over the top of the laptop and connects to the padding with velcro. That's all fine, except the way the velcro is set up assumes a larger laptop, probably 15" at least. So my smaller laptop fits in the pocket, but the velcro fastener doesn't hold the laptop tightly in place. So far, it hasn't been a real problem, but I would prefer it be improved. The other negative was that the bag wasn't offered by Amazon, so I missed out on free shipping since my order contained the bag that was from another seller and other items from Amazon. It would have been cheaper if Amazon had the bag available.

Overall, I'm happy with the bag. I switch back and forth with the messenger as needed, but this larger bag does what I need.

Incase Coated Canvas Backpack (Taupe)

Incase Coated Canvas BackpackI purchased this pack back in June and I love it! It has compartments and pockets for everything you'd want to carry and still looks brand new after months of heavy use. My ONE complaint with this pack is the straps though. They're made of a silky material that looks great but when you load the pack up with a bunch of stuff, the adjustments you've made "slip". If they would have used a beefier strap this wouldn't be an issue and it's certainly not a deal breaker with this pack. I'd definitely recommend this pack!

I had been searching for a backpack that I could use on a day-to-day basis for my 15" MacBook Pro; yet versatile enough that I could use it when I travel on long, overseas flights. I settled on the brand Incase, because I knew someone that had one of their backpacks a number of years ago. I thought it was very well made.

I had been considering the Incase Campus Pack, but I stumbled upon their backpack comparison chart and decided I needed the best protection and that is how I came across their coated canvas pack. Finding out it was water resistant was a big selling point for me because I will soon be living where it rains a lot. The quilted laptop section of the pack offers excellent protection against bumps. Now that I have it in my hands the backpack seems very durable and I believe will last for many years.

One reviewer mentioned that their silky straps slipped on them. I could see this happening if it was packed with a lot of heavy stuff or perhaps had been well used. I don't have experience with this happening yet. So far they have stayed where I have put them.

COLOR

I am not a fan of black. Most of the backpacks available on Amazon are either black or wildly colored. When I saw taupe was available and was on sale at a very good price I thought I'd try it out. The photos on Amazon (and elsewhere online for that matter) do not show the color of the taupe backpack very well at all. Most of the photos are very light or washed out looking. When it arrived my first thoughts were that it looked like wet clay. Wikipedia confirmed that when I looked up the color umber on their site. This bag should not be called taupe it should be called umber. Just my two cents though. The fuzzy lined pockets are light green. The inner fabric is also a greenish color. The zippers are interesting. When indoors the zippers match the taupe/umber color of the bag, but when outside they take on a similar light green as the fabric lining. Overall this is a great looking bag. Very earthy without looking military.

SIZE

The photos on Amazon make it look massive. I have owned a JanSport Superbreak for what seems like forever. It's a classic backpack that can hold an average amount of stuff. This Incase backpack is just a couple of inches taller, but I'd definitely say it's comparable in capacity. It's not the massive, puffed out pack that the Amazon photos make it look like.

p.s. the "hidden" compartment on the back is awesome!

Jansport Superbreak Wheeled Backpack

Jansport Superbreak Wheeled BackpackHaving shopped around for years for roomy backpacks that holds not only all the books but also the lunchboxes without having to carry a heavy load, we feel that JanSport wheelers meet our needs. The color of the Barnacle Blue Stooper Stripe is brilliant as described; We expected the worst after reading amazon.com customer comments that the color was grey, so not true! We bought the red one too for our other twin, we are happy with that purchse as well.

I had to get a bag w/ enough support and room for many books...(nursing program). It's held up pretty well so far w/ no problems and I have to drag this thing thru street n rocks, conrete, & brick. Its only been a month but its held up great and I get alot of compliments in it being so different and cool lookin.

This looked like a nice sturdy back pack for my son. He has CF and is smaller than most kids so he has a real hard time carrying all the books he has in school so I thought this rolling back pack would be great. It has been great, he loves it but he's only had it for 2 weeks and already has worn holes in the bottom, I think it's his fault for trying to roll it the wrong way but...there are holes on both sides already.

We bought this for our 6th grade daughter, knowing that the load of books and binders would definitely be too much for her small frame to carry. The backpack is nice and roomy...fits her thick textbooks and binders with no problem and easy to roll. Well-made. Great purchase. Recommend.

Clik Elite CE710GR Venture 35, Gray

Clik Elite CE710GR Venture 35, GrayTo sum it up, this pack is excellent on your back, but only offers moderate protection for your gear. Don't get me wrong, it is padded and protected alright, just not anywhere near as well as the competition. But Clik-Elite is getting a little better in this regard.

I'm in the midst of an African trip where my luggage is getting a real workout. It carries all the gear I need (Canon 5DII w/grip, 100-400mm lens, 70-200, 16-35, 50mm, plus flash, tele-extender,and small tripod with head. Filters and accessories I've put in the extra top compartment, in their own padded organizer pouches, and there is still plenty of room for jacket, food, etc. in the large top compartment. The design is excellent for those who want to take some clothes, lunch, maybe a book, along with the camera gear. I also have taken it carry-on with no problems on a variety of aircraft.

My gear has remained in good shape, but I am careful how I set the pack down, and generally don't let anyone else handle it (tough in Africa where everyone wants to help with your luggage).

Tripod attaches on the side (if it's small), or when hiking and/or with a larger tripod (like my cxpro3), it's best to put it on the back of the pack, where it rides very nicely, no swinging.

So again, know what Clik-elite does well: make packs that one can wear all day on a hike or climb. Try that with the cubical packs made my the other big brands, and you're likely to be thrown off a ridge by the swinging weight, or give up and take it off with aching shoulders. If Clik-elite can get the protection thing down without compromising their excellent comfort, they will be all alone in the field of camera backpacks.

This is a great big, but it's very large. I liked it a lot, and got it on sale, but I ended up selling it on eBay and buying the Obscura, it's still a little larger that I'd prefer but fits the bill much better than the Venture 35 did. Never even removed the tags from the Venture.

Offers excellent protection for your gear and plenty of room. Would be great for a professional with a lot of equipment I'm sure, but I needed quicker access to my equipment and I had to completely remove the bag to get my camera out without fear of something else falling out despite several rearrangements of the internal compartments.

I gave this 4 stars because I know it would be excellent for someone with a full size camera and more professional than I. However, I'm only a novice with an APS-C camera (D5000), I needed a bag that was easier to travel, hike, and bike with and quicker to access on the go. For my uses I would probably have given this bag 2 stars, and only because it is of great build quality and very protective.

Love the fact this sleeve has the same design on both sides. Bought it for my 14 year old son and it fits his laptop and the plug/adapter with room to spare. Very good quality and received it very quickly.

I ordered this for my son (13-yr old). He loved the design. The print wasn't as bright as I was hoping but the eyes do look like they are glowing which is kind of cool. As one other reviewer mentioned, the handles come from inside the case, which looks sleek, but if you actually need to use the handles, you won't be able to have the case zipped closed all the way. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. I got a matching skin for the laptop so it looks pretty complete altogether.

Osprey Hornet 24-Litre Backpack

Osprey Hornet 22-Litre BackpackNice bag, I've managed to feel very organised within it, mainly due to the the top hanging pocket and the smaller pockets on shoulder and waist straps. Interesting location for the bladder storage, it sits outside the main compartment and allows you to fit more into actual bag. Lightweight with lashpoints and compression strapping I really like this bag for my summer overnighters, carrying bug bivvy, tarp, sleeping pad & bag, trekking pole, some food and a spare change of shirt etc etc. It ticks all the boxes for my lightweight minimalist trips, love it. My other packs are Osprey Exos 34, Lowe Alpine Nanon 50:60 and Lowe Alpine Expedition 75:95.

Osprey makes great stuff and it is warrantied for life. I also bought the rain cover separately and recommend it too.

I use it for carrying general athletic stuff around the city, typically a water bottle, football gloves, clothes, rec specs, and sometimes shoes and a snack. The mesh top pouch is perfect for wallet/keys and anything that needs to be accessible. The side water bottle holders are very secure with the ties that wrap over them, but I now mainly use the stuff pocket on the outside because it is plenty secure and extremely convenient. The main pocket is large enough for shoes and miscellany, and could also comfortably hold a laptop if that's what you were using it for, although the lightweight construction means there's not a lot of padding for electronics.

The main difference between this and other backpacks I've owned is that the construction quality is universally excellent and clearly designed for as light a bag as possible without sacrificing back and shoulder comfort. The straps have a kind of lightweight tesselated foam, and there are front straps to even out the loud. The bag itself is extremely light, but also quite strong.

If you are looking for a bag with multiple large pockets and some padding for electronics then keep looking, but if you need a high quality lightweight bag then this is it.

Codi Apex Travel/Luggage Case (Backpack) for 17 Notebook - Black - Dobby Nylon

Codi Apex Travel/Luggage Case for 17 Notebook - Black - Dobby NylonThe bag itself seems like a solid purchase and appears to be really well built. Plenty of room compared to the briefcase version of the CODi bags.

The one gripe is that the Adjustable Sternum Strap was not included from this vendor. I have since contacted the company listed on the invoice to see if this was intentional or a mistake.

The Adjustable Sternum Strap would be a solid part of the case as it would allow for easy attachment to a rolling case handle similar to how the briefcase versions have a built-in back-slit that allows roller handles to slip through.

I'll update this review if I hear back from the distributor, but I have to knock off a few stars since one of the parts listed on the CODi page isn't included (or I just haven't found where it's hidden in the box).

The North Face Men's Recon

The North Face Recon Backpack - blue, one sizeI did a lot of research on packs before purchasing this one. The North Face is a great brand, and I have been impressed with the quality of their gear in the past. I purchased this pack primarily to use for school, where I must carry several textbooks and my 15" ultrabook computer. It says in the description that the laptop sleeve fits a 15" laptop, and I figured since mine is that size but thinner, it should be fine. Unfortunately it did not fit, the bag would not quite zip up over the top. The laptop sleeve doesn't sit right on the ground, but starts about 1.5" above the floor of the pack. Then there is about another 1.5" of foam forming the bottom of the sleeve. While this is a solid design and great padding, it makes a 15" laptop stick out the top of the bag. I image that a 14" laptop would be tight but workable, I think with a 13" you would have plenty of room. Other than this the bag was great, loved the color and it seemed well made and comfortable.

North Face can't go wrong with this! Excellent for hiking or just going to school! High recommended and great for carrying a laptop.

This is a great backpack that really fit what I was looking for. The straps are pretty comfortable, and the capacity is ok. I can fit my macbook pro, and maybe 3 2" Binders in the main compartment. The handle located at the top, between straps is strangely small and thin, I'm worried it's going to rip. I expected a thick and padded handle, this is almost hard to hold onto. There are also some extremely unnecessary straps that will dangle maybe a foot below the bottom while wearing, I have since stuffed them into a pocket so they won't trip me or look stupid. Other than those oddities, the backpack does its job, and I'm pleased.

This backpack is pretty good. The quality of it in my opinion is better than those of other brands. The back padding is a hard cover thing unlike other backpack where the padding isnt upright.

Incase Range Backpack - Moss Green - CL55396

Incase Range Backpack - Moss Green - CL55396
  • Durable twill material with weather resistant coating
  • Wide-mouth top with zipper pocket for easy access
  • Internal cinch collar for additional weather protection
  • Padded notebook compartment with plush faux-fur lining
  • Fits up to 15" MacBook Pro

This is a well-constructed backpack with good access. The intended use was to carry a big MacBook, sometimes on a bike commute, when weather might not be great. It's weather resistant, and has extra protection against accidental rain. Given as a gift to my adult son (in his 30's) who really likes it.

I bought this bag for my husband to take to work and carry his laptop in and he absolutely loves it. It's practical but is also attractive and sleek. The inside has this fuzzy fur lining to place the laptop in, a big pocket for your lunch or books, and all of these little pockets and places to put things like your keys, cell-phone, bike lock, etc. There's tons of space in it too. We felt it was worth the money because we know he's going to use it for a long time.

We bought it from Amazon because I read that In-Case, the company who makes them, has a bad reputation when it comes to delivering products on time. This item shipped in 3-4 days from Amazon so glad I went with Amazon!

Disney CARS Backpack with lunch - full size backpack

Disney CARS Backpack with lunch - full size backpackI bought this full-sized Cars backpack for my son's 4th birthday. He loved it! Formerly he had a Cars backpack that had puffy decals of McQueen and Francesco. Unfortunately over time the decals all peeled off. This backpack has no decals, just screened-on pictures that are nice and bright. The backpack itself has two roomy compartments, one main compartment and one smaller front compartment. The removable lunch bag (Velcros on) is small but perfect for his preschool snack (we plan to use another lunch bag once he goes to full-day kindergarten). The only thing I wish it had is double pull zippers (each compartment only has a single unidirectional zipper that requires it to be opened completely to put anything inside). But apparently most of the backpacks these days only have single zippers. All in all a great purchase at a great price.
