Everki Versa Premium Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Backpack for 14.1-Inch MacBook Pro 15 (EKP127)
It has all the necessary compartments to stow the power supply for the laptop on a side pocket so you don't have to fumble in the bigger compartments for it. A very nice and unexpected feature is a front pocket that closes with a hidden magnetic clasp where you can quickly and safely insert your passport, boarding pass and wallet without having juggle a zipper.
The greatest feature by far, is the ability to open the bag to expose the laptop and iPad without taking them out when going through the security checkpoint. Also, the hardtop glass case is bigger than it seems, so you can actually stow your reading and sun glasses (without their cases, however).
When it comes to travel accessories, this ranks among the best along with a pair of noise cancelling headphones.
By the way, I was one of those nerdy students carrying a huge backpack. I know what I am talking about...I purchased because it was the only bag that had 95% of what I wanted in a bag, all the features that were described in the video. There are a couple more that were notable that I couldn't confirm until receiving the bag:
* The 'bumpers' for the laptop sleeve are removable.
* The main storage area *can* be unvelcroed and fully opened to lie flat, like the checkpoint area. Makes packing/unpacking easier, and prevents you from having to screw up your packing in order to reach something at the bottom.
It would be a 5-star bag if it were a little bit cheaper and had more professional styling. I can't believe I dropped $200 on a backpack. Well done, though.Chances are if you're looking at this bag, you've either looked at or own a Tumi Alpha backpack. I am the latter. I am a die hard Tumi buyer but also a tech oriented guy. My Alpha is a great bag that is well traveled all over the world and still has many miles left in it. The Everki Versa is the bag that I will be taking with me everywhere. I just got back from a domestic trip and the Versa not only held its own but excelled. Everything had a place. My laptop, iPad, chargers, business cards, external battery, headphones, book, notebook (actual notes not electronic), and most importantly sunglasses right on top. Surprisingly light and comfortably with exceptional materials used. I was really impressed with how well this bag was made and how well it functioned. It just made sense. I haven't come across an aspect of the bag where it made me think "now why did they do that?" My Alpha still has a place in my collection just won't be the first bag I grab. This one of the best thought out products I have ever purchased. The inside is well organized and has easy to zipper pockets for frequently used items. The only two items that would make this better are 1) the shoulder straps need to be easier to adjust once it is on your back. I have big shoulders so I need to open them up all the way but then tightening them is almost impossible. 2) The luggage pass-thru pocket is a rather tight when putting the backpack over a handle. It is good that the backpack will not move around but perhaps this will loosen up with time. This is a great backpack, especially suited for the business traveler. Well made, extremely functional. The sunglasses holder alone is reason enough to buy it!

Recon Stealth Pack
First off this bag has amazing features. It has 2 main compartments the first (closest to your back) is the biggest it measures 16x13x8.5. This compartment also has 2 mesh zip up sections for whatever you desire. The second compartment is a little smaller (and flatter) this compartment measures 16x13x2.5. This also has 2 separate zippered mesh sections against the side of the compartment for anything you desire. Again these mesh sections are flush against the vertical portion of the compartments. Lastly the molle attachments have multiple uses and they are EVERYWHERE. I personally used a couple side molle attachments by cutting them to make 2 inch clearing instead of 1 inch and put my axe and breach tool in there. Also If you need to get a first aid kit but you don't want to sacrifice room in the actual bag i suggest a butt bag that can easily be attached to the molle section on the front of the bag. Lastly the final compartment is at the bottom of the bag. The cool part about this compartment is that if you unzip it it can be used as an extender to the MAIN compartment. Or you can use it as a separate compartment in itself (which i am using) for a tent, or stuff sack with clothes.
PROS:
-great construction, design and have yet to find a stitch out of place.
-great amount of room
-plenty of molle attachments
-compartments help with organizing
-straps and buckles can be used to hold tent (or anything of your choosing at bottom of the bag
-fabric is strong and tough and definitley can go through hell and back.
CONS:
-WEIGHT! 5lbs 9.6oz completely unpacked. This is due to the heavier denier fabric used this makes it tougher but it is significantly heavier.
All in all the recon stealth pack is a great bag that can be used as a B.O.B. (Bug out bag) or even a backpacking bag (if you dont mind the extra weight) I will definitely be using this bag for all my item carrying needs. This pack is large enough to discreetly transport a taken-down AR in and out of the house, to the car, and to the range.
The pack's main compartment is long enough to hold an upper receiver with a 16" barrel. There are straps inside the main compartment to help keep the upper receiver in place. Even a large CTK Precision brass catcher (net) fits inside.
There is a large pouch inside the main compartment, against the back, and the lower receiver goes in there perfectly with room to spare. I think the large pouch inside the main compartment, against the back, can hold two lower receivers. The main compartment can hold two upper receivers with room for other things. Just unzip the divider connecting the bottom compartment to the main compartment.
There are also two big zippered mesh pockets inside the main compartment, toward the front of the pack. The secondary compartment in front also has two big zippered mesh pockets. Surprisingly, there is a big zippered pocket at the bottom, on the outside of the pack (did not know it's even there).
The shoulder straps are adjustable, well-padded, and comfortable.
The material and workmanship seem fine.Very sturdy pack. The only complaint I have is I wish there were actual water bottle pockets on the sides instead of mesh, and the Velcro to hold the excess length of the straps is sewn on one way for the left and another way for the right. Minor details easily compensated for by the quality of the rest of the pack. Its comfortable adjustable and rugged. Would definately recommend.Using this as a Bug out/get me home bag, but most likely will be my default camping pack. I saw this in my local army surplus store, and was drawn to it by the waist and shoulder straps, along with the modular nature that the MOLLE system has. I have one loaded to about 40 lbs right now, and when it it put on the weight is distributed in an amazing way. Super comfortable, and fully adjustable in the shoulders. Interior pocket organization is nice, with my one wish being the 4 interior mesh zippered pockets being a little larger. I like the front loading nature of the pack, instead of having to dig through the top. I look forward to using this camping and whatnot, and customizing it to meet my needs.this was a great find, and I received it very quickly. I am deploying out of the counrty, we were given specifics on what we can carry our personal stuff in. This bag is well made very strong and lots of space. I got it for the feature that it had a specific padded conputer pocket. I shopped around and the cost of this bag was amazing. It was a good buy and many of my fellow soldiers were impressed and wishing they had one.

18" Genuine Leather Laptop Backpack
The difference between his & mine is; I got a better deal, classy looking, matches a leather jacket I had and I paid less.
I have not used mine yet, but it does look good & feels comfortable with I tried it on. I also own a couple motorcycles and this would be very handy. I have saddle bags, but this may be a lot easier to use. The straps are very nice and comfortable. I feel it was a good investment. It looks like it cost much more then I paid for it. I would recommend this backpack for an adult in an office environment, on a bike, scooter or motorcycle. Hard to go wrong with it.

Arc'teryx Arrakis 40 Backpack
The two exterior pockets floods when exposed to rain. I've lots my iphone doing the appalachian trail, quite a surprise given the cost of this item. I spoke with Arcteryx and they said though it is not a waterproof or submergeable bag it should resist rain. I went to my kitchen sink to retest it and hit it with a spray of water. Again, the top pocket flooded. So it's not only waterproof, it's not even water tight.
The main compartment however keeps things dry, but you'll need to protect your valuables in an additional layer of plastic if you keep them in the zippered pockets.
Arcteyx is making things cheaper and cheaper as they become bigger and it shows. What a waste of $ and an iphone and of course arc'teryx could care less about making it right. They said to spend more money by sending it in so they can "look at it" which is complete BS.

Pacific Design PD0198 Pacific Design Action II
Now I've got this beauty!
When I want the backpack, I have it. When I'm tooling around the airport and wheels make sense, I have them.
And there are many, many pockets. Including one on the upper left that's just perfect for tossing coins, the cell phone, etc. inside just before going through security. There's even more than enough room for two Eagle Creek packing cubes one for the laptop accessories, another for at least a days worth of clothes.
The material seems durable, though the zippers may be a bit flimsy. And the watertight bottom is a definite bonus.
I strongly recommend this one, though I had multiple problems purchasing it via the marketplace companies. You may save some money, but I'd recommend going straight to Pacific Design (you'll find them on the web). They're a great company to work with, and if you do experience delays will honor the lifetime guarantee promptly.Though perhaps not the very best product. I have found a few loose seams, but overall it is a nice quality. It is large and has plenty of nice pouches.

I purchased this backpack so that I could easily bring my 17.3" laptop and all of my tools and utilities with me as I went from customer site to customer site. It worked quite well at first, but after a couple of months I noticed some of the seams coming undone. Several times I had to have the pack repaired and completely gave up on it after about a year. The fabric is very strong and has no problems with the elements, but the seams are poorly designed thus causing the entire product to fail.Read Best Reviews of Pacific Design PD0198 Pacific Design Action II Here
I bought this product a couple months ago. Initially I was very pleased: A lot of room and pockets, fit my big 'ol laptop. However in the past month its really started falling apart. I'll admit that I'm rough on my bag, but I bought this one expecting durability. The plastic strap clips are busting on me and the telescopic handle just popped off on me when I rolled it over an indentation.
Three weeks ago it would have gotten four or five stars (four because I'm not crazy about the sickly gray color of it). Now two, because i did get a couple months of rough use out of it, but i just expected more.

Very stylish and cute backpack! My 6 year old fell in love with it and her friends are all wanting one! The material is very strong and made very well. The only downside, the zippers need to be tightened more because all but one fell off. I added new ones but it was a downside. Love this backback!Very happy --the material is much stronger than what I expected, thus looking forward to it lasting a long time!Great looking bag and a great size, but the strap has already ripped :-( We've used it for a month and my daughter came home and showed where the strap had torn.Monday, March 3, 2014

Overboard Waterproof Roll Top Duffle Bag, 60 Litres, Yellow
This bag holds all of my emergency gear, including tire patches and pump, and a waterproof jacket and pants set. It also holds all of my drinks and food for a day long trip. With all of that, it is still only about half full.
When motorcyclists with fancy expensive luggage see my solution, they cringe, as they think of all the money they wasted.I bought this bag a little under a year ago so I've had some time to get to know it. Overall this is a good, sturdy duffel bag. I haven't had a chance to test its waterproofing, but it does look like it should hold up to the rain well. It holds a lot of gear, and it is comfortable to carry. It is a great addition for camping, motorcycle luggage, canoe camping, boaters, or any other outdoor activity where you may need waterproof storage.
My main beef is with the roll top closure. If you even slightly overstuff the bag it is difficult to close properly. It makes it hard to gauge what is and is not full/overstuffed because there is a LOT of excess material for the roll top closure. It seems like a waste of material. I'd prefer a zipper with a little extra flap of material over the zipper for waterproofing like some competitors use.
Overall, it isn't quite a 4, but it is better than 3 stars. I rounded up since overall it is a pretty good bag and the price is terrific (what I'd have bought instead is the more than double the cost North Face Base Camp duffel). If I was buying again, I'd be pretty split between this and the more expensive North Face (just like I was when I bought it initially), I like it but I think I'd like the North Face better. I'm just not sure I'd like it $80 better.

Used this duffel bag to climb kilimanjaro recently. Fit all the stuff that I needed the porters to carry. Could relax knowing if it rained my stuff was safe. Bag got quite dirty and bumped around and no damage to main bag (part of the outside pocket (mesh) got torn. Would recommend this for those who need to throw stuff in and not worry about the weather. Enjoy!Read Best Reviews of Overboard Waterproof Roll Top Duffle Bag, 60 Litres, Yellow Here
Not as big as I expected, I think they measured capacity with the bag opened. Generally tedious to open and close. It may be waterproof but I see now my bag was scuffed and a small hole has developed in the bottom from this, which you'd think would be heavier or double ply material, which it is not. Not very sturdy or durable. Overall after a year I am sorry I purchased this bag.Want Overboard Waterproof Roll Top Duffle Bag, 60 Litres, Yellow Discount?

I abuse backpacks,I admit, and after being dropped and dragged in the mud and dirt, thrown, and stepped and taken on every hike I have been on for about a year; it's still kicking. I do wish it had a chest strap like my last backpack, it really helps disperse the weight and there is less of an uncomfortable pull on you shoulders but the thick straps are good and I love the phone pocket located on the shoulder strap.Gave as a gift, product very useful. would give as gift again. Arrived on time, no problems, just as described.Tuesday, October 29, 2013

Outdoor Products Power Pack Glide Laptop Pack
Buy Outdoor Products Power Pack Glide Laptop Pack Now
This backpack is the perfect size for me to use for work and school. The size isn't too big in which it would be cumbersome to handle, nor is it too small in which it can't hold a lot of items. The nice feature is the fleece lined pocket that is advertised to hold sunglasses, but I use it to hold my cell phone since it does have some padding and is fleece lined. The side pockets come in handy when you just want to quickly throw in some small loose items and want to quickly retrieve them later. The laptop pocket is padded and works well when going through the TSA scanners. The front pocket is perfect for storing items such as flash drives and pens/pencils as well as a charger for my phone and tablet. Overall, this is a great pack for those that want a backpack that can hold their items, yet not be too bulky when toting it around.Read Best Reviews of Outdoor Products Power Pack Glide Laptop Pack Here

I got this backpack as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it. Perfect size/shape for traveling and commuting.Unfortunately, a few months after I got it, the zipper started to come apart from the backpack. I contacted Solo customer service and they got back to me immediately with instructions on how to send the backpack in for repair or replacement under the warranty. I didn't have the receipt (as it had been a gift) and it was no problem. A brand new backpack was delivered to my door about 2 weeks after I put the broken one in the mail.

Spacey, with many pockets and a couple places to slip your laptop. Awesome woven material seems very strong, very hardy and long lasting. Just from the looks of this bag I expect it to last me a decade or more.Want SOLO Sterling CheckFast 16" Laptop Backpack Discount?
I have a satchel that I've used for years to carry things back and forth to work, including my lunch. Recently things changed and I needed to start carrying a laptop too. The satchel was designed to hold a 15" laptop, but it doesn't have much padding, and once you add a laptop, there wasn't much extra space for anything else, like my lunch. I also ride a motorcycle to/from work when weather permits, so I needed something large enough to carry all my normal stuff, plus a laptop, and still be small enough to fix on the rear seat of my motorcycle; held down with a couple of bungee straps.I searched Amazon, and several local retail stores, and I did find a different one that I though might work, but I still wasn't sure. I'm glad I held off because when I saw this one, I knew it would fit my needs perfectly.
One thing not mentioned or pictured online is an removable inner padded laptop sleeve with a padded flap that completely encases your laptop. My 15" laptop fits perfectly. The laptop compartment of the backpack is also moderately padded, so if your laptop is too big for the sleeve, you don't need to use it and your laptop will still have some protection.
This backpack has 3 main zippered compartments. What's impressive about this particular make/model is the middle compartment. It's almost as big as the laptop compartment. I has a nylon divider, but it's not a 50/50 split. More like 70/30. It's big enough to fit a 2nd (smaller) laptop, several college text books, or my lunch in the bigger section, and several folders in the smaller one.
The 3rd main compartment is the front one. You could probably fit a 10.1" tablet (with bumper or case) in this compartment if you wanted to. It has a place for pens or pencils, and several pockets for smaller items like a calculator, business cards, etc.
The are also 4 small zippered compartments. One on each side, one in the front, and one at the top between the laptop and middle compartments. This top one also includes a pass-though for headphones.
Overall this backpack measures about 18" tall, 13 14" wide, and about 7" deep.

I bought this bag for my husband to take to work and carry his laptop in and he absolutely loves it. It's practical but is also attractive and sleek. The inside has this fuzzy fur lining to place the laptop in, a big pocket for your lunch or books, and all of these little pockets and places to put things like your keys, cell-phone, bike lock, etc. There's tons of space in it too. We felt it was worth the money because we know he's going to use it for a long time.We bought it from Amazon because I read that In-Case, the company who makes them, has a bad reputation when it comes to delivering products on time. This item shipped in 3-4 days from Amazon so glad I went with Amazon!
