Case Logic 16" Laptop Backpack - notebook carrying backpack (GBP-116RED) -

Case Logic 16' Laptop Backpack - notebook carrying backpack -I didnt believe the top comment. How could a backpack work as a morning after pill? But desperate for help, I bought it anyways and it worked. My girlfriend got her period too! After missing it for 3 weeks. This bag works miracles man. Plus it does everything I need a backpack to do! Great buy. Now I make her wear this backpack everytime we have sex, just to be safe. She hasn't gotten pregnant since.

Received this package in less than two days, superior shipping from the vendor. Upon opening I noticed the excellent quality of the backpack.

This is third back pack I have purchased from Case Logic, and it truly does not disappoint. The pockets are large, and while it may seem small,

it can surprisingly hold a lot of items within the main compartment. The straps feel nice and comfortable, while the stitching seems like it will hold up.

The large front pocket compartment holds a plethora of my items from my flash drives, to pens, pencils and my headphones.

Excellent purchase, wil definitely purchase from Case Logic again! The red is so vibrant, I love it!

Buy Case Logic 16" Laptop Backpack - notebook carrying backpack (GBP-116RED) - Now

I ordered this backpack hoping that I could fit my laptop, 3 ring binder, some textbooks, and all my minor supplies into one carrying case. I was not disappointed. This backpack is roomy without being overly bulky, and looks stylish enough to not make you look dorky (in black). It is also comfortable to wear. My only complaint is that the compartment that holds the laptop in place could be a little more tightly fitted and padded, but this is a minor issue if you don't make a habit of throwing and kicking your backpack around campus.

13 Inch Racing White Stallions Under Starry Sky on Dreamy Purple And Black DOUBLE Sided Print Desig

13 Inch Racing White Stallions Under Starry Sky on Dreamy Purple And Black DOUBLE Sided Print Design Laptop Carrying Case Netbook Sleeve Notebook Slipcase Cover Bag For Macbook Air Macbook Pro Acer Asus Dell HP Sony ToshibaI like that it's very heavily padded so it really protects my laptop. I had a different laptop cover before but it didn't seem thick enough to actually provide enough protection for my laptop

I initially was going to spend $50-$60 on a designer case for my new computer. Then, I came across this beauty. I have to admit it's a little weird when people see me with it on the street or in elevators, and the picture is on both sides of the case so there's no hiding it. I am 27 years old. But it just makes life more entertaining. Would definitely buy again.

Laptop Briefcase For Samsung Series 7 Chronos Np700Z5a, R540 15.6", RV510 15.6" & RV511 15.6" By DU

Laptop Briefcase For Samsung Series 7 Chronos Np700Z5a, R540 15.6', RV510 15.6' & RV511 15.6' By DURAGADGETSo I ordered the case thinking it would be a high quality case. Turns out its very thin material and not nearly as high quality looking as the image looks. To add insult to injury it took several days longer than the estimated shipping. This normally doesn't bother me, but when I pay additionally for shipping. Yeah, this bothers me. When I got the case it didn't have the one thing I was hoping for too, the shoulder strap! It wasn't inside the packaging at all. Honestly I would spend a little more money to get a better case or just don't get this case all together. It's not worth the money.

Eberlestock X2 Pack

Eberlestock X2 Pack - MulticamThis pack is my 6th hunting pack, I usually update every 3 to 5 years. This one is my latest and my favorite up to now. My last one was a Kelty Arrowhead 2000 which was a frame-less pack. I liked it so much it was used the most, until now. The X2 is now my go to pack with the ability to pack out more meat then the Kelty could. The X2 employes an aluminum frame and a strap system which allows it to carry a meat bag with ease, Two 100oz hydration bags, lots of lash points for added pouches from Eberlestock or any Molle pouches. The rock camo is nice for my area, just wish it had a built in rain cover like my Kelty does. The frame gets noisy so you my want to apply tape to the metal frame. The pockets have a short clip for hooking the hydration bags but it's to long to work right. I had to fashion a short loop out of para-cord to correct this downfall. All in all a great design which I wish I had years ago, would have made hauling deer out easier..You can even attach a rifle scabbard or a bow holder to it. The main bag is rated at 1800 to 2000ci but it could hold way more then my Kelty ever could. Just ad the optional outside attached pockets to increase storage. The material is pretty strong and quiet. So far this day pack worked well on my three night trip using ultra lite gear. Best hunting pack yet..4 stars for the lack of built in rain cover and the not well thought out water bag holders and the noisy frame..

Tony~

The Eberlestock X2 absolutely exceeded my high expectations. It completely meets my needs and I am going to recommend it to every outdoorsman I know.

Dukes of Hazzard 01 General Lee Orange Backpack Bag

Dukes of Hazzard 01 General Lee Orange Backpack BagMy grandson son adores the Dukes of Hazzard. His first day back to school was a special time for him with his new Dukes of Hazzard back-pack. The quality of the back-pack is sturdy enugh to last a fourth grader the entire year. Thank you

We had bought this product for our son and he has used it for two years in a school setting. After the two years the backpact was showing signs of wear but this I think is normal do to the nature of the product. Also we would never get more than 6 to 7 months from other units. This product proformed very well for us.

15.4 inch Purple Sparse Floral Laptop Notebook Padded Compartment Shoulder Messenger Bag

15.4 inch Purple Sparse Floral Laptop Notebook Padded Compartment Shoulder Messenger BagThis bag is great. It has tons of space, lots of pockets to organize things, and is a beautiful color (although it does get dirty easily). I bought this for my 15.4" Toshiba laptop, and let's just say, its a tight fit. I basically have to shove the computer in there. The description says it fits up to 15.4" laptops but just know, its really meant for a smaller size laptop, as mine just barely fits.

Perfect for travel. Throw my laptop which has an acrylic colored hard cover and a soft neoprene sleeve in the bag and with the 3 it's all the protection my computer needs. Has plenty of room to include my Kindle, iPOD, and whatever else I want to put in it. Not to mention it's stylish too.

Buy 15.4 inch Purple Sparse Floral Laptop Notebook Padded Compartment Shoulder Messenger Bag Now

This bag is roomy thats a plus.It fits most anything I need. The problem is the strap is too long (maybe bc im short) and the top flap comes open often. I would preffer a bag I can grab and go and I have trouble with the long strap and opening top flap when i grab out of my car from drivers seat.

Read Best Reviews of 15.4 inch Purple Sparse Floral Laptop Notebook Padded Compartment Shoulder Messenger Bag Here

This bag does the job. However, I expected it to have stronger strap support since it can hold a larger size laptop. Also, the top opening is a draw-string and I would have preferred a zipper (I did not look close enough at the product description before ordering it). The design is cute, but a little on the kiddish side.

Really like this bag. It is a great size. I used it in addition to a carry on bag to hold my laptop, novel (a large hardcover book), wallet and more when flying. My only complaint is that it had a chemy smell when it arrived.

Acme Made The Slick Laptop Sleeve for 13-Inch MacBooks and Ultrabooks, Gloss White (AM00843-PEU)

Acme Made The Slick Laptop Sleeve for 13-Inch MacBooks and Ultrabooks, Gloss WhiteOverall, I am happy with this case. I wanted the patent leather and was limited in my choices. This works well although I should have read the description more closely. I wanted a full zipper that allowed the computer to be opened while still in the case (for quick access in an airport, etc..) With this case, you definitely need to remove the computer if you want to use it. I also wish there were some sort of exterior pocket for the power cord or a travel mouse. But I went for the black patent instead. I love the looks of this and like the handle on the case. I just wish it had a couple of more practical features.

Oakley Men's Kitchen Sink

Oakley Mens Kitchen Sink BackpackInitially, I had buyers remorse after purchasing this bag due to it's hefty price. I considered canceling the order before it shipped and purchasing one of those Swiss laptop backpacks that I see all my fellow Metro Rail riders wear. What kept me from following thru was that nagging feeling that I was just going to fit in with the herd and regret not going with my gut reaction after falling in love with the Kitchen Sink once I saw it on Amazon.

Just received my package from Luggage Base (free shipping a plus) on Monday and everyone, including my neighbor who received it for me from the delivery guy was amazed. We all were impressed by the sheer presence the bag has alone. It definitely looks like a mans-mans kind of bag. I began transferring all of my messenger bag contents into the Kitchen Sink to see if it was more form over function.

Here is the break down of items: 2 text books and pad folio full of notes in the laptop section. A large Stanley thermos (1.1 qt), a Zojirushi Classic Bento Vacuum Lunch Jar in the main compartment. A 27oz L.L.Bean stainless steel water bottle in both side pockets. All of my pens, markers, high liters and correction tape went in the front pocket. My Gerber multi tool slid in perfectly into one of the rigid pockets inside as well as my portable digital storage devices. The hard undershell top case holds my shades, of course, as well as my ear plugs for my iPhone. I need to mention that every thing I stuffed into the bag still left me room for more. I'm considering using the wet pocket that zippers open from the bottom for more water bottles since I try to stay hydrated enough to pee clear (sorry if TMI).

Now to test out how comfortable it is to lug all this on my commute to/from work. Let me first mention that I decided to remove the padded strap that goes around the waist. Didn't feel comfortable having that thing dangling and the buckle clanging around. The bag already draws enough attention. It easily comes off by the Velcro attachment point behind the sleeve (you'll see). Now on to the function part: I take a rapid commuter bus with small aisles between the rows of seats. Somehow I didn't need to take the pack off to walk down the aisle with both straps around my shoulders. I take this bus to the Metro station and ride up one stop where I transfer to another line and ride that to the end of the line. The verdict: I love this bag!!! I barely feel the load because of the suspension system in the chest and shoulder strap combo. I wonder how much better it would've been with the waist strap... I also love the attention the bag gets even from other Oakley bag owners (Not Kitchen Sink). I still haven't seen one yet on my commute during rush hour btw. My only gripe is that you have to unclasp the cool hook thingys that secure the top flap in order to access the main compartment. I only have to open it once when I get to work to unload my thermos and lunch container though since my pad folio and books are accessible through the side zipper. Other than that I see why the Kitchen Sink is all that and then some. Push 'Buy Now' and enjoy forever!

I have one of these packs. It is a man's pack. I am a girl; a smallish girl at that. I feel absolutely mortified walking around with a "men's" pack on my back. If the stares and snide remarks do not stop I plan to tie pink ribbons to the various clips, spray the thing down with Channel and possibly attach some sort of cute little furry stuffed animal to the top. But other than the gender problem, I do love this thing.

The pack itself does not weigh all that much. There are scads of pockets and pouches, clips and hangers along with zippers and clippers; neat and useful stuff all.

The pack is very well made. I tend to haul all kinds of stuff constantly, some if it quite heavy and I have hand no problem with tearing or stretching.

The mobile phone pocket is great and is handy. It does indeed hold my laptop and protects it well. The padded storage compartment for the glasses dose indeed work...I have dumped this pack right on that compartment several times and my sunglasses have survived, which is good as they actually cost more than the pack. The inner compartments are well organized and hold a lot of "stuff."

The pack straps are easily adjustable and the entire thing, fully loaded with all my useless stuff is extremely comfortable.

The little clippie thingy for the lock is nice, although I never use it...but I like knowing I could if I wanted to...as it stands, I could never remember a lock combination and I am sure to loose any key I would lug about.

The entire pack looks great; it is extremely attractive...in a "manly sort of way," grunt, grunt.

You might consider this to be sort of pricy, but you got to remember that you get what you pay for.

Good and useful pack...looks good, is extremely serviceable and the price is good here in Amazon Land.

Perhaps if I let my hair grow longer and ceased wearing combat boots and covered a couple of my tattoos ....hmmm.

Pros:

I had been looking for a replacement bag to replace a High Sierra backpack I have owned and used almost every day for the past 7+ years. I read all the reviews on this bag and I am glad I went with it. It has a heavy gauge construction exterior and the zippers, snaps and buckles are of excellent quality, I should get many years of service from this backpack. It has a ton of room inside and lots of extra pockets to hold all your favorite gadgets including a padded laptop section. I have personally had over 50lbs. in the pack and it was still comfortable to carry. The straps are wide and padded for your comfort. There are several adjustable straps that allow you to tailor fit this bag to your body type. All I can say is "Awesome" glad I went with this.

Now the Cons:

A little bit pricey, but after you get it you will see why. Top notch materials and craftsmanship. This bag should easily outlast my last one.

The hard storage pocket in the top flap of the bag is a little heavier material and has a tendency to make the bag fall over when it is less than 1/3 full. What I did is make a wire cage frame inside the bag out of 1/8" steel rod (Purchased at Lowes for less than $10) that went from corner to corner and around the top flap on the inside of the bag and now it stand completely upright just like the picture shows, even when its completely empty. I think they should take my idea and incorporate it inside the bag. The cage didn't even add 1/2 lb. to the total weight and it in no way hindered the bags performance, in fact it looks like it belongs there. I was able to tuck it in the creases; it's almost invisible unless you really look for it.

All in all I love it!!!!!!!!

The looks:

The backpack has no rivals in tough design. I've read a few reviews saying it is not a comfortable backpack, but i've found it to be one of the better packs that I've owned/tried on at stores. The metal handle up top sounds like a great idea, but it's not, it's less then comfortable and kind of small (not for those with larger hands) if you plan to use that handle at all. I often used that handle on my Swiss (Wanger?) backpack to lift it before putting it on. Not a big deal as i killed that habit after a few days.

The straps are nicely shaped. If you are hiking a while, I found the straps to create a more comfortable fit (especially the top strap). If you're just walking from your car to work then straps would just be silly.

The large hard front pocket at the top is rather nice for my essentials i don't want crushed (sun glasses, portable hdd, etc).

Two side pockets are nice and zippers are easy to use with two hands, but with one hand you may just pull the backpack towards you instead of opening. That is actually a positive as i've had similar zippers get caught on stuff and open up the pocket without me knowing it. So the zippers don't get stuck, they are just a little tighter then say a normal zipper. I noticed another review complaining about the zipper being to tough. I guess if you want an easy open zipper, get a LLBean.

The middle front pocket is not easily accessible, you'll need to undo the metal clips on right and left to reach the zipper (unless you don't close it all the way). This pockets is a pretty good size and has several compartments mounted inside for you to put your cell, etc.

The front large compartment is 2 sections, laptop and other (book?). Great news is that the laptop section can be easily accessed without undoing the metal clips, unfolding the top pocket and then undoing the zipper. Oakley put a zipper on the side so you can easily slide your laptop/tablet in and out of the backpack (a great idea in my opinion as otherwise it would be too much trouble to undo everything every time i need to get my device for the day.

The bottom pocket is great for wet clothes. It is made of waterproof material and extends into the 'other' pocket next to the laptop pocket (if you needed that extra space). The entire bottom pocket is isolated from the 'other' pocket with waterproof lining, so no worries about your stuff getting dirty. The bottom container also has drainage holes which again comes in handy when you have wet stuff/shoes in the bag.

The bag is a little pricey at full price. Amazon had it for 169 when i was buying it and they had extra 20% off which i had trouble using until i contacted their customer support (total paid just under $133).

Headphone port the description mentions a headphone port, which i keep hoping will be an actual port to plug your headphones in... no such luck, the backpack has a slit on top of the hard pocket so you can slide your headphone wire through. A little concerned with how well that slit on top will do during rain. I think I may close that hole so that i don't have to worry about my stuff, placing your device into the backpack while hiking in my opinion is silly because you can't change the song, but that's another story.

Overall the pack is very sturdy and looks great.

Cons: A little pricey, but it's a rather nice pack so i think it's worth the money. It is the first backpack that has people asking about it and commenting on it. Not really the goal here, but it does look good.

The top handle is my biggest gripe as it is a small thin metal handle. Not comfortable by a long shot if you had to lift the pack, especially if it is already loaded. The thin metal puts a bit of uncomfortable pressure to the hand the previous (Swiss) pack did not and since the hold for the hand is small too, then it's even harder to grab if you normally use this.

Front pocket takes a few seconds to open up. So if you want quick access to that pocket, i suggest you look at other models. If the laptop pocket is enough for your quick access, then that is covered. That's all i needed, so i'm good.

None of the gripes above were enough for me to take a star as they don't really effect me, but they may be things for you to consider before buying.

Want Oakley Men's Kitchen Sink Discount?

I have been using the Kitchen Sink for a while now. It is a cool backpack. I've used it for trade shows, work, and for a light backpacking trip.

My conclusion after using it for sometime is that it is overkill and the ease of use leaves much to be desired.

If you like the aesthetics it is a great bag. If you are looking for something with a high level of usability there are other available options that might be a better fit.

Pros:

Looks awesome

Can carry a lot

Shoe space in the bottom is crucial

Cons:

My large laptop can only be accessed from the top

The storage is not quickly accessible

The straps are not super comfortable on a long trip

I would buy it again but it was not amazing.

Glacier Glove River Backpack - 2685cu in

Glacier Glove All-in-one River Pack, BlueI researched fishing backpacks from many manufacturers, the big fly fishing names and the common outdoors companies. I can tell you after 6 months of hard use, this is a must have fly fishing accessory. In fact, after using it for only one month, I went back to Amazon and ordered a second one for my teenage son. We hike into a couple rivers and lakes at home in CO. My reason for original purchase was I scheduled to worked on a project in CA for 8 months and my company expensed me an out of state fishing license for the duration. I need a pack that I planned to use a lot. I fished every weekend and two to three evenings a week. This pack was always with me. It has ample room for all your needs. I carried my waders in the lower compartment, boots above (switch it to hold my tennis shoes when I was hiking upstream in my waders), two fly rods, one on each side, top compartment (in hood)with license, head light, hat, gloves, camera, and cell phone. The large top compartment keeps lunch, water, extra reels/spools, first aid kit, and when hiking in/out, my Orvis Sling Pack, fishing tools lanyard, and spare socks. I can honestly say that I put at least 80 miles on this pack this year and it still looks like the day it was new. I have had no mal functions, broken straps or split seams. The shoulder and waist straps offer full adjustment and it is quite comfortable to wear, even when actually fishing. What I also like is that the inner compartments are kept dry from the separate boot and wader compartments. When I get home, I just take out the waders and boots, and then next trip update my lunch and water and I am good to go. Gear stayed in it most of the time except for the occasional cleaning sessions of line, reels, rods, etc. I did find this at Bass Pro Shops and looked at it in person before coming to Amazon and ordering it (for $30 less!!!!!!). The ballistic nylon is very durable and lightweight and all stress points are reinforced. I can tell you, it has been a long time since I have found a product I feel so strongly about. Get one. You will not be disappointed.

I recieved the Backpack more quickly than expected and it arrived in pristine condition. However, upon opening I was rather disappointed. I quickly assembled my gear and took the pack for a test hike before taking it on a backpacking trip this Summer.

Pros:

-Bag is solidly constructed. The seams were well-stiched, and all components, buckles, and straps were high quality.

-High visibility liner worked as advertised. It did make finding components in the upper pack easier.

-Dual rod tube storage. I liked the storage mechanism and straps for the rod tubes. I'm confident that these will hold up to years of repeated abuse on hike-ins.

Cons:

-Bag is smaller than I thought it would be. The wader compartment barely fit my stocking foot waders (Size L, Boot Size 11). I actually had to stuff them in the wader compartment rather than being able to fold them properly. Boot foot waders will NOT fit. Likewise, if you wear an XL or tall wader, you're probably out of luck as well. The changing mat takes up valuable space and is quite heavy duty and thus, heavy.

-Shoe storage. At first glimpse, the shoe storage on the outside seems like a clever idea. However, the shoes are more or less "pushed" into the storage area by the elastic straps. Hence, storage capcity is reduced in the main compartment. I was able to stuff the main compartment full, but this resulted in shoes sticking out a full foot behind me, catching nearly every branch and sapling in the forest.

-Straps. While high quality, there are a ton of straps and buckles. Perhaps mine is defective, but I counted an uneven number of male and female buckles. Even if there were a full compliment of buckles, I still wouldn't be able to tell you where each goes. To say the buckle system is confusing is an understatement. However, this is not a true con--just an annoyance.

-Belt and carriage. I did not like the way the pack sat on my back/hips/waist. It tended to ride higher on the back than I would have preferred. The belt padding was shorter than I like--too much web belt, not enough padded belt. Additionally, the shoulder straps seemed like they were designed for a taller person (I'm 5'9").

While great for a day hike out to your favorite stream, these fell short of my expectations for a one-pack-to-rule-them-all overnight backpack. I will probably look for a larger pack with less hanging straps and more room for waders.

JanSport Overexposed Backpack, Fluorescent PinkI love JanSport because they last longer than any other bag for my teen. Dakine Point Wet/Dry Pack

Dakine Point Wet/Dry Pack, StoneBought this pack for a multi-island trip with lots of snorkeling excursions. I was able to pack in a camera bag, two changes of clothes, snorkels, masks, guidebooks and 2 pair of reef shoes (in the dry pouch) with room to spare. I was even able to attach one pair of fins with the skateboard straps (the other pair hooked nicely to the top loop thanks to two carabineers). This is a sturdy pack that dries quick and carries a big load. The straps are padded and it's easily adjusted even while you're wearing it. The left side of the chest strap even slides vertically for comfort. It's probably not built for school, kids, but it can handle any day adventure you can throw at it. GREAT pack!

Love this bag! Its basic and not too flashy. Im a student and play alot of sports so its perfect size for my textbooks and runners but not too big and bulky! Im in lovveeee

Belvah Large Quilted Polka Dot Backpack - Choice of Colors

Belvah Large Quilted Polka Dot Backpack - Choice of ColorsIt is cute, really cute, but the product in the picture shows the inside of the back pack as gingham, that isn't what we got. Ours was just black on the inside. Its not big enough for all of my daughters books. So, while its a Large, its not that big. If you are looking for something for a 3rd or 4th grader its perfect. Not for a 6th grader. However, while my daughter was'nt that happy with the size, she still likes it.

LOVE the Belvah bags and this one did not let me down!!!! My daughter has the entire matching set now and this backpack is just what she needed to finish the set!

Star Wars Yoda Back Buddy Plush

Star Wars Yoda Back Buddy PlushI bought this as a birthday gift for a 7 year old. I did not get to see the order, but had it shipped directly to him. This is the feedback from his grandmother, "He loved it!!! Wanted to bring it to school, but, unfortunately, his homework papers don't fit. BUT! It fits tons of clothes, he brought it for a sleepover, and it fit an outfit of winter clothes, PJ's and more. He says it fits so much because Yoda has a big belly. Verrrry cute." I actually plan on getting one for another little friend who has a 5 year birthday coming up.

This is so cute and my child loves it. However, the "book compartment" is so small that he cannot use it as a school back pack. He now uses it to carry around his video games / toys when we travel.

The delivery was fast and the pack was well taken care of and shipped with care. It makes a great gift for those who love the force. Or for those who just want a cute green troll buddy on their back at all times. The pack compartment is big enough to fit small items though, its more for show and to carry your small accessories.

3IN1 Backpack Dark Gray

3IN1 Backpack Dark GrayI ordered this a while ago, about 3 years now, from Amazon, on sale, and just because it was on sale..I had no idea about the brand and the functionality of this item..What a surprise.

After 3 years, with few slight rips on side pockets, due to my carelessness, the bag is still holding up with my daily use with books and laptop.

I cannot find any negative feedback about this bag, only to offer my criticism to Ohmetric for not manufacturing more of these types of bags..

What is good about this bag, plain and simple:

1-It is sturdy, as indicated above after 3 years, it is still functional and in tact, looks like it has been used for 3 months..I am yet to see other brands with the same quality..

2-Laptop carrying design: laptop is placed inside a pouch on the rear of the bag (see the Amazon photo), means that if you backpack this, laptop is protected between your back and the front part of the bag with good cushioning, separated from the main compartment of the bag.. There is a hard tray in the this storage part which keeps the pouch straight and supported which can be taken out and used as a laptop rest, thus, if your laptop heats up underneath, protecting your lap.

3-Carryon attachment functionality: This is a function I got compliments in airports from other business travelers..There is a put through piece on the back of the laptop, where you can slide in the pulling extension of any carry on bag. So, while you extended the carry on pull walking, you can put this bag through it securing it safely, and pull your carry on only and carry both pieces..it stay securely attached to any carry on..almost custom made..those of you who try to load carry on with small handbags on top but slip it and fail, you know what I mean..Bag does not move or falls down when attached to the carry one luggage. In fact, I would think that it would functional the same even with any regular luggage that has carry on type of extensions to pull.

There are other minor design advantages but i wont need to talk about them..

In conclusion, if you are looking for a very, but very good backpack that carries laptop safely and comfortable, do not even perform more searched on Amazon..Just buy this..I am not obsessed with items (except Macbook Air), yet, I cannot help but be very enthusiastic about this bag..

My Verdict:

DEFINITELY BUY IT !

Thanks fort reading my feedback..

Its a good bag.lots of room.also the material is also good.its water resistant.a bit havy, but its required make it stiff and rugged.

I recently switched from a leather briefcase to this backpack. It is far more comfortable for me to carry, and I love the additional storage I did not have with my backpack. I can now make quick overnight trips by carrying only this backpack and my purse. Getting through airport security is much easier due to the quick access of my laptop from the side computer pocket. I've also, surprisingly, gotten a lot of use from the portable lap desk (the hard shell computer case). The only complaint is that I wish they made one where the straps were placed with a slightly narrower profile. Adjusting the straps frequently at first helped me find what I believe is an optimum balance. Another improvement would be if it had a waist strap for when I need to walk long distances with it.

Case Logic Berkely Plus BPCA-115 15-Inch Laptop Backpack (Anthracite)(BPCA-115Anthracite)

Case Logic Berkely Plus BPCA-115 15-Inch Laptop Backpack(BPCA-115Anthracite)The quality of this backpack is excellent. The material is heavyweight with a very nice finish -it's not the usual ballistic or cordura nylon, but rather a heavyweight fabric that almost looks like a grey flannel suit. The stitching is even all around, and the zippers are high quality with oversize pulls. The shoulder straps are wider than many packs of this type, with excellent padding. The case has an insanely generous 25 year quality guarantee, which speaks to Case Logic's confidence in the quality.

On the downside, the design -and therefore usability -of the case is not so great. The straps are anchored in front of the laptop compartment, so you have to flip them around the front of the case to get at the laptop. Not a big deal (and even a benefit if you're afraid someone will try to steal your laptop while the case is on your back), but it makes the laptop compartment more of a pain to use. The main compartment has a "suitcase style" opening so that it zips all the way open and folds out flat. That might be useful if you're using the backpack as a suitcase, but it isn't useful when carrying folders and notebooks. The main compartment has a laptop sleeve stitched to the back wall, but given the position of the sleeve and the position of the main compartment zipper, it's more of a struggle than it need be to get a tablet in an out when the case is fully loaded. The main compartment doesn't have any dividers -OK for a camping pack, but a business/student pack would benefit from having them. The gadgets pocket on the front similarly is mostly just an extra compartment -it has has a couple of pockets stitched to the back, but mostly it's just a big pouch in which to throw stuff. Personally, I like gadgets compartments with multiple compartments inside so that I don't have to dig through the pouch looking for things. The "hidden" lumbar pouch is an interesting idea, but not a comfortable place to carry things if you're walking any distance.

In a nutshell, for a business/student backpack, I prefer either a pack with more built-in compartments to keep things organized and make it easier to find (e.g., the Everki Flight Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Backpack), or one that offers maximum space and comfort (e.g., the Full Speed Shine Backpack). The Case Logic Berkely Plus Backpack is very well built from high quality materials, but it doesn't have the ergonomics/comfort of packs like the Full Speed Shine or the inherent organization efficiency of packs like the Everki Flight. I'm a long time fan of Case Logic's disc storage products, and the quality of this backpack doesn't disappoint, but its design isn't what I was hoping for, and it will become my backup backpack, not one I use every day.

Whats in the box:

A clear plastic bag with the backpack inside it.

There's attached to it a booklet and a card that explain some of the features.

I can't comment on whether this would be a good item to take on a plane as a carry-on simply because I have been boycotting air flight due to it's many discomforts and add-on fees. However, for other uses this a well designed backpack.

First it's a dark gray color (anthracite is the name, a type of coal). Therefore it's not going to show a lot of marks and stains unless you manage to come into contact with traffic yellow or some other bright color.

Second, it's nicely padded. The straps are well padded so they don't dig into your front. They are also quite adjustable as to length. The extra length is neatly held out of the way if you don't need it with velcro tabs stitched to the end of the straps. Extending the straps to the full length adds an additional 12 inches for a total of about 19 inches of strap below the 18 inch long padded back straps. This allows comfort for many body types. It also has a strap across the front that will help take the weight off your upper back. This strap has about five different levels that it can be adjusted to for the well endowed among us. Snaps allow for ease of adjustment. The center of the front strap has a quick release design like that on many pet collars.

It is very well stitched. I'm impressed by the quality of the workmanship. Nothing seems to be fraying or not properly placed. The inside seams have stitched cloth tape so they are not likely to catch in the zippers.

I was able to pack my 10.5" Kindle Fire and a small Samsung netbook I usually take on trips in the padded section. I was also able to stick in a few other electronics I carry, like a mini wifi router, a notebook I use with my pen computer and a set of i-go plugs. There was even room for a towel (you always got to know where your towel is!), some underwear and socks.

I was impressed with this backpack. It is well-made with thick, comfortable back straps and a lumbar support panel. There is plenty of room to store my books, gym clothes, as well as my laptop, so I can take this with me where ever I go. The compartments are large enough to fit many different items and the zippers work great. This certainly does the job!

The back straps on this backpack are very comfortable. I walked around for a couple of days with about 8LBS of stuff inside the backpack, and it felt alright. The chest strap helps, but I felt it was a little tight. You can readjust the chest strap up or down the back strap, or take it off entirely. The back straps will swing inward/outward, so it makes putting on the straps or taking them off quite easy. This backpack will fit my 14" laptop and iPad. The compartment that holds the iPad is the largest on the bag. It has a specific holder for the tablet and the rest of that compartment is free space. That free space holds my laptop adapter quite nicely without making the bag feel deformed or off-balance. This backpack has a pocket on the backside, where the pack touches the small of your back. At first, I thought it might be uncomfortable, but after filling it up with cables, it doesn't bother me much. The very front compartment has much smaller compartments that will hold pens, screwdrivers, etc. The overall feel of the material and build feel solid.
