This bag is PERFECT! I read some reviews that said there wasn't enough padding on the bottom. If you have $3000 worth of tech gear in a bag, then DON'T THROW IT DOWN on the ground like some kind of child. There is definitely ample padding. Great room space to lug extra files and manuals (sorry kids, I'm no student, an old working professional). Lots of great stash pockets for the little things in life. This bag brings back that relaxed carefree feeling of being a kid, it helps ward off that whole "I'm an adult now" vibe. LOVE IT!!!!!

My husband has an oigo, and we specifically bought that brand because we like his so much. This oigo is not as sturdy as his (fabric quality, stitching), although he didn't buy his retail (it was a corporate gift).

So my expectations were extremely high to begin with. This backback is NOT for anything other than very light use the interior fabric looks delicate enough that heavy books or daily use would cause it to start to fray/unravel/rip.

To try to be objective this backpack does everything I need it to do fits my HP 17" laptop with plenty of room for everything else. The shoulders are comfortable (although you wouldn't think so at first glance) and the load balances well. My use is very light, maybe once a week, and it's holding up well so far. My favorite part is the zippers they are GREAT smooth use and nice fobs.

Disney Cars 18" Kids Pilot Case - Rolling Luggage

These suitcases are cute and just the right size for a visit to Grandma's. My boys will be so excited to wheel these behind them. I was disappointed to see there were no pockets inside or out. The suitcase also doesn't have the elastic strap to keep clothes neatly arranged when carried or pulled. Those would have been practical to add.

My nephew loves his new Cars suitcase, but as a consumer, I am disappointed. It has no elastic straps inside, and as the other reviewer mentioned, no pockets at all. It was a little bigger than I expected (that is good). The handle does not set in place when extended. I don't expect this suitcase to survive much travel, but if you are using it for visits overnight to Grandma or at a friend's house, it is great.

Victorinox Luggage Ch 97 2.0 22 Tourist

I recently took my first vacation daring not to check my luggage (and pay for it) and go solely carry-on. I looked at a number of bags on Amazon and chose this one. It far exceeded my expectations. It has packing space everywhere you can imagine and in fact, when I returned home and was unpacking, I found even more spots that I hadnt noticed before. I had the bag packed as full as it could be returning from my trip and really didnt think it would fit in the overhead, but, it did! The handle and wheels work wonderfully too and zip in for storage really easily. I absolutely love this bag. Five stars plus!

I will never buy a JanSport again. I love the color of this backpack. It's very high quality and the cooler pack can hold something flat like a sandwich but does not work well for containers but they still fit. This is an awesome backpack and I highly recommend it. If I can answer questions I will. The cooler is lined with plastic and would make a good swim pouch or even a wet bag.

I resisted buying a backpack for years because I hate the bulky look of them you stuff them full and then it adds three feet to your profile. However, I'm a first year law student and I knew I needed something large, durable, and padded enough to save my back. I've had this backpack since August and I'm so glad I bought it! The price is great and the quality is awesome. I love the fleece lined pocket on top to store my ipod, and the large inner pouch is perfect to haul casebooks home and fit my (huge) laptop. The best part, though, is that it NEVER looks bulky or overstuffed; even when it's crammed full it looks really compact from the outside. It has the perfect amount of pockets, too; everything about this backpack was thought out and there aren't any unnecessary features. The pen pouch, the insulated pouch, and the very outside pocket are useful and again, don't add bulk. Even the handle on the top is brilliant. To top it all off the color is nice and it's not garish like NorthFace backpacks I see on campus or impractically stylish like Hershel's. I don't leave reviews often but if you're thinking about this, buy it. Not too big, not too small: just right for a weekend trip or the demanding life of a 1L :)

Bought this backpack to take to Disney. The insulated pocket came in handy held 3 normal size water bottles and a smaller water bottle. Still lots of room for jackets, souvenirs, etc. A great bargain for such a well-made bag. Very pleased with this purchase!

I need a backpack for a trip to Europe this summer. I'd been looking for awhile because I wanted a smooth shoulder carrier design without a lot of straps, snaps, buckles, etc. My searches did not turn up anything that looked acceptable to me. Then, while in Hawaii, I discovered Dakine.....just what I was looking for! A lot of school and college kids use these for transporting their loads, plus travelers. I was thrilled to find that Dakine makes several lines sized for women. I gave my Prom Pack a trial run during a recent trip to Charleston and LOVED it! It was so easy to slide on and off, and left my hands free while trecking through airports. I'm 60 years old and found this size and style perfect for my needs. And, the Prom Pack is also very attractive, with a bright turquoise lining. In summary, I love this backpack! This backpack is pretty spacious. The only thing is that when I put a helmet in it, there is no more room to put anything else in. Can fit plenty as long as you don't carry an extra helmet for someone. Its nice to have a latch to connect straps so they dont slip off. Material isn't too thick but seems durable. For the price, I thought we were getting a great quality product but the backpack handle ripped within the first month of use. My daughter is in 2nd grade so they don't even carry any books let alone heavy items in their backpacks. The backpack is great, but this company is ripping you off. Level 8 sells this, as does the Apple Store, for $100.

I was surprised to see the low ratings, until I noticed the price. This is the best case I've purchased for traveling with a laptop (in my case, a 17" macbook pro). It offers lots of protection, lay-flat zipper for airport security, lots of extra pockets and storage space. Just don't pay more than the retail price of $100. The Apple Store or manufacturer are selling them for the correct price.

First — I bought this at an Apple Store for $100 and have used it pretty much daily for almost three years. I's pretty well-made, the laptop compartment is well protected, the straps are comfortable and easy to adjust, and it is spacious and has lots of compartments (I often carry laptop, iPad, camera, various accessories, charger, etc., and on short trips have used it as my only luggage).

Fatal flaw — when overloaded its zippers (even when fully closed) allow it to simply fall open and it cost me an iPad (as in flipped out and shattered). A small number of airport-friendly bags have snaps that can prevent this from happening — but they all seem to cost a lot more than $100. The bag was overloaded when this happens, but not that overloaded.

Note that the bag does have a velcro strap to prevent the laptop from falling out, but this is a weak alternative and in any event was no help for the iPad.

It's a testament to how good this bag is aside from this that I continue to use it.

Non-fatal flaw — the plastic handle (allowing it to be carried like an attache case) is made of a very hard material and is not terribly comfortable. Mine has broken and now presents some pretty sharp edges as well.

I was in the market for a new laptop bag and happen to stop into the Apple store for another reason. I noticed this bag while waiting and I instantly knew this bag was what I had been looking for. I'm more than pleased with the product.... it has lots of storage area with a slim construction and a very sturdy feeling with comfort. Do your research

I unfortunately have to follow up with a negative review, shortly after writing a positive one. After packing my laptop into the bag with a few other essentials the zipper on the second largest compartment started to snag. The same day one of the two zippers pulls actually broke. My bag wasn't over loaded so it was alarming, needless to say, especially since it was only day one of receiving the bag. I liked the bag so much I ignored the defect and continued living life. A few weeks later and the problem has only got worse. I now have to contact the seller and try and get a new bag or a refund. The same zipper has gotten worse and snags in two areas making it a hassle to open and close.

Gregory Mountain Products Z 55 Backpack

I've taken only two trips with this pack so far. One was a weekend in Letchworth State Park, NY. The other was a week on the Appalachian Trail. There is a lot of room in this "small pack". I really like the pockets on the waistbelt. I was able to keep some essentials handy (like headlamp, compass, energy bar). I will admit I am not an ultralight person. I was looking for something lighter than the 5lb pack I've been using for the past 5-6 years. You can't go wrong with this choice. I usually keep my raingear in the top flap pocket. Making it easy to reach. Also I keep my stove/fuel bottle packed close to the side pocket of the main compartment in order to reach it quickly; and not have to unpack everything to get to it. Lastly I noted that the pack is very slim lined. You won't have to worry about a tree branch catching your pack as you walk by.

I bought mine at the local high-end outdoor gear store. I was initially looking to buy an Osprey, but the Gregory was the only brand that felt very comfortable with 40lbs loaded in it.

Lowepro SlingShot 350 AW -Black

Like the other lowepro slingshots, it is well padded and sturdy. What it does not mention is that it is HUGE. Granted it needs to be pretty large to haul all your equipment and a laptop, it is just so big...like carrying another torso around on your back. I am 5'4" and it just overwhelms me, but will work okay if you are much taller. I use it for carrying my wedding photography equipment and it can be VERY heavy fully loaded. Some nice features:

1. There are two additional straps that hold it on, one around the waist (or low hips if you are short like me), and one that fastens the main strap to the backpack, so it can't swing around if you are running. It sounds confusing, but it works.

2. LOTS of storage, and a little cloth that is sewn into the main section for cleaning your display.

3. The weatherproof hood that pulls out of the bottom is AMAZING. Gives so much peace of mind that your equipment won't be ruined by rain. you can still access the main compartment from the side with the cover on.

4. There is a good amount of padding on the strap and the part that clips around the waist, so it is not unbearable to carry when it is very heavy.

5. The two dark grey panels that you see in the picture are very sturdy loops that you can clip things to if there is no room in your bag

My Fong Reporter diffuser does NOT fit, but that is not the bags fault; it is a big diffuser.

At first I considered returning it because it was so big and made me look like a dope, but it really gets the job done when you have a lot to carry. Overall, a very nice bag, well made and neat features.

First off I am a big guy around the middle 44"the built in waist strap fit around me while I was wearing a sport coat That endeared me to this bagThe manufacturer wasn't cheap with the materials! I upgraded my bag to this for a trip to India. Crammed with my stuff it wouldn't fit under my seat on the trip over. On the way back with less non essentials I could get it under. I carried a SLR and a wide to mid, and mid to tele zoom, flash, battery grip, filters, and memory cards in it, with room to spare. All very well protected. In India at security check points ( a month after their 26/11) at tourist sites I had it off my shoulder well before I approached. I had opened the side door, and had one hand on the bag, the other on my camera, pulling it in and out,and kept repeating "Camera Bag, Camera Bag". That did the trick. At most tourist sites back packs aren't allowed, so at my first stop I had to flay it open to prove it was. That is something I hadn't taken into account.

The ability to hold a laptop cushions the back, but does make it more rigid. I could have easily put a few more lenses in the bagbut in the end I'm glad I didn't (so I could travel lighter). I'm looking forward to using the bag on hikes now.

This bag is perfect for anyone who gets on airplanes, goes on fullday excursions, carries a computer & camera with them to work everyday, or likes to boulder on the same trips they photograph on. First off, the computer slot is SMOOTH for a 13" Macbook. If you have an applesac, it's a little tight, but it's still easy to get it in and out. Beware because on the Lowepro description it says it fits MOST 15" computers. That just means be smart about it, try it out before you get it and realize it doesn't fit your needs.

The main compartment is great. I carry a 50mm f/1.8, a 28-200mm, a wideangle, a charger, stuff to clean my Macbook screen, and still have room to spare. I like to leave my 50mm lens on so i readjusted the velcro dividers so that my camera (Canon 5D Mark 2) "sits" on the bottom rather than in the middle. It's got a really nice micro-fiber cloth to clean your LCD and a pocket with slots for 4 memory card cases.

Don't let the front pocket fool you, I've got PLENTY of stuff in there, I keep my camera manual, my pocket journal, pens, sharpies, business cards & my backup Point & Shoot.

The top pocket is great because I can put my climbing shoes & a medium sized chalkbag in it when I'm going out for a bouldering day. When I'm using it for work though, I keep my MAC charger, external harddrive, monitor convertor cable, AV cable & my USB transfer cable with plenty of extra room if I wanted to pack my backup body (Canon D30) & iPod...Neil Young albums...you name it, it's probably made it's way into that pocket.

The sling design is perfect and the support strap makes it even better. It's great that you can just whip it around and take your camera out, or if it's set up right, change lenses without having to unzip the whole pocket and just use the silent zipper & zip stop buckles.

I could have done without the waist straps...or at least a better way to store them when I'm on short runs, but I'm sure they'll come in handy on REALLY long days.

Of course you can't forget the Lowepro weathercover. That thing has pulled me out in plenty of pinches in all the time I've used Lowepro.

If you can't handle the sheer power of this pack, downgrade to the 300 or 200.

This pack won't help you take better pictures, but it will sure keep you from messing up all those sweet goodies you got stored away in it.

Although I'm older, I just recently began involvement in my photo hobby. I travel internationally on business. I replaced my briefcase with the Low Pro 350 in order to bring my lap top and a few accessories on-board. The ease to get th to camera, built-in security from little hands and quality of the bag make this the best option for my needs. I did a little informal research at the beach with the surf photogrophers before buying the Low Pro. All sopke highly of the bag, several had them and I am now preparing for another trip and trying to decide which 3 lenses I'lltote along. The seller could not have been more helpful, communicative and responsive. I ended up buying a very expensive mono-pod that doubles for a walking stick.

After much research I found this product to be useful since i had a requirement of carrying my HP 15.4" laptop with my gear. One reason I choose this product was you don't have take it from shoulder for changing the lens, just slide it over and u can open the camera compt with ease. I wanted to see how this product looks before i purchase this online, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the local stores. I had no choice, bcoz of my immediate trip to Miami, FL. After opening the package, i immediately felt that the bag was big (width wise). The first thing I tried was laptop compartment. First of all it was very thin. I wasn't surprised when it didn't fit my HP Pavillion Dv6000t (15.4") laptop that easily. I had to push it inside. And taking out wasn't that easy either.

Miami trip was a good chance to test the bag.

Their weather resistant cover at the bottom of the bag is really good and works well. But for me laptop compartment was more important. And their one side strap made my shoulder hurt throughout my trip (something people should think of before buying it).

Overall I wasn't satisfied much with the product !

The product pictured, has handles. The case received does not. The vendor confirmed the item# as being correct, and indicated that they don't carry this product with handles. Some of the customer reviews reference the handles on the product. I am very disappointed in not having received the item pictured and referenced in the reviews. Furthermore, I have to pay the cost of return shipping, which will not be refunded to me.

I have a Dell Studio 17.3 inch laptop and it fits great in this bag. The front pocket is big enough to hold the charger and mouse,but not much more. If you're looking for a slim bag this is the one you want.

New laptops for christmas that were 17.3 inches. We wanted laptop sleeve that was neoprene and had handles to make ease of carrying the larger laptop. Read reviews and liked picture although settled for plain black as only color choice. When cases arrived they had small side strap and NO HANDLES as seen in picture. It does the job. It is sleek, well-padded, has nice zippers and a convenient handle. The side pocket is an added bonus, as well just enough room to stuff a power cord and/or mouse into. I have a Dell Studio 1747 (17 in.) and it fits perfectly. I am going to use this sleeve to add extra padding for my laptop when I pack it into my backpack. If I ever have to only transport the laptop this bag is sufficient. I totally recommend.

Osprey Men's Aether 70 Backpack

I used the backpack on a 50 mile hike on the Appalachian trail in North Carolina in April 2013. I carried about 30 pounds and the pack made it seem like 5. The load transfer to the hips was accurate and comfortable. The shoulder strap pads and back of the pack NEVER got wet with sweat (I still find that amazing) and the adjustable shoulder, hip, chest and load straps allowed me to refine the fit so that nothing hurt. The removable top was used as a pillow which was useful. I never used it as the daypack hipbelt that it was meant for, but under different circumstances I could see how it would be useful. The multitude of compression straps kept the load tight which allowed me to keep a good centre of gravity and hence a good balance throughout the hike. The bag material is tough although not waterproof. I kept the sleeping bag in the bottom compartment where it was meant to be, but inside a waterproof bag which gave me piece of mind. I bought a raincover at Walmart for about $5 which fit fine and kept it dry in the rain. 70 litres was more than sufficient for the 4 day hike carrying the sleeping bag, mattress, tent, food, clothes, cooking set, first aid kit and miscellaneous items. The exterior water bladder sleeve was handy and perfect for the Osprey 3 liter bladder that I purchased separately. All in all, a good product that enhanced my hiking experience.

This backpack is cute & stylish. I loved the price & crossed my fingers it'd really fit my 15.6 Dell Insperion. It did! Although it was a snug fit & it was best to leave the laptop out of the special compartment until after I went through airport security. My only wish is: an extra inch width for the laptop part & about 2-3 extra inches length wise. Also, maybe more compartments in the front zippered portion. All-in-all, a great bag at a great deal.

This looks cute but it completely fell apart (two, separate large tears) with two months use and I am not talking heavy use. Most the time all that is in it is my laptop, a few pens, a calculator and two cans of soda. I suspect if you filled it up with textbooks it would fall apart with in a week.

Ranipak Durable Solid Flap Global Computer Backpack

The Ranipak computer backpack I bought is black. The black color is dark black, so it goes with most outfits I wear. What attracted me to this bag is the shape of the bag. It is slightly wider on top than the bottom, which is unique in that it goes with the shape of your body's torso and thereby making it fashionable. This backpack has quite a few compartments for electronic goods, but it would have been nice if they made a compartment to hold pens.

The largest compartment is the main compartment that is closest to your back (when you wear the bag). There is no zipper on this compartment, but the flap is cut and shaped in a way that the compartment is well protected from rain because the sides fold inward. The nice thing about not having the zipper is that it makes the compartment easy to access once you unbuckle the flap, and there's more space available to allow over stuffing the main compartment. I put my 15.6 inch laptop into it, and it has plenty of room to put more things into it. Inside the main compartment is a large sleeve, that is approximately half the size of the main compartment, to carry smaller devices such as an iPad/tablet or even cables (well padded by a lining that feels like the material on a wetsuit--neoprene). This sleeve also has no zipper, for easy access. The downside is to never turn this bag upside down or smaller items in the main compartment will fall out. However, all the other compartments in front of the main compartment have zippers and are well protected even if the bag is turned upside down.

The next compartment, located in front of the main compartment, is 2/3 the size of the main compartment, but it has a zipper. Within it are three pockets (large, medium, small) made of the neoprene material. The large pocket can easily carry a Kindle Fire. The medium pocket is about the size of a floppy disk and the small pocket is the size of a credit card, but large enough to hold an ID card such as those for work. Other than that, this secondary compartment can hold all the personal belongings safely. This secondary compartment is about the size of a medium sized pocket book, which would be convenient for women. For guys, this compartment is large enough to put extra books or a couple of magazines.

In front of the secondary compartment is a thin zippered sleeve that is padded to carry an external hard-drive or a 7" Kindle Fire. It's approximately 1/4 the size of the bag. Next to it is a small zippered sleeve for a telephone, but only large enough for an iPhone with its protective cover. Anything larger than an iphone will not likely fit into it. The great thing about these two compartments is that the zipper each face out to the sides under the flap. This allows you to access each of these smaller compartments without having to open the flap. So, if a phone call comes in, you just have to reach in from the side to unzip and get the iphone without unbuckling the flap. The last zippered compartment, located on the right side of the bag, is for carrying a water bottle or cables. The water bottle/cable compartment is hidden, and takes up space within the main compartment. It is probably more appropriate for cables than a water bottle because there is just a thin polyester cloth that separates this compartment from the main compartment.

This bag is the most light weight computer bag I have ever gotten, and I've expereienced many computer bags. It weighs about one to two pounds. The material is mainly water repellent 1000d twill poly/non-toxic tarpaulin with durable seatbelt nylon straps that are adjustable (according to the label). The material on this bag is not stiff, so the flexibility causes the bag to change shape based on what you put into it. The bag will bulge out if the item in the bag is round and not flat. If the item in the bag is flat, then the bag will take the flattened shape. My only issue (other than wanting a pocket for pens) is that the bottom of the bag is not cushioned, which can cause a thump when you drop the bag. So, as long as you don't drop the bag, this is a great bag for its looks, light weight, easy access to things, large size, flexible shape and good double stitching (keeps bag strong). It's very comfortable to carry because of its cushioned straps and back padding. This bag is strong enough to hold textbooks if you don't have a laptop to put in it.

It has six separate compartments to organize and store gear away, including room for a laptop, binder and Kindle/ipad tablet device, power cord pocket and phone pocket. It is built reasonably well and the stitches holding the straps to the pack appears to be middling quality (not cheapo easily ripped out stitches, but not heavy duty either), and toting it on my back fully loaded works well for the quarter mile or so I carry it daily to work. I cannot vouch for comfort on longer treks. There isn't any internal padding to protect multiple devices from one another, and not really any padding for exterior exposure either. The bottom especially could use a sheet of high density foam to soften the blow to the laptop when setting this on the floor (this is important enough that I put my own foam padding in the bottom for the laptop to rest on).

It has two design flaws that bother me and they could have been easily avoided. First, the strap is sewn onto the big flap on the back more than half way down. If the pack is less than half full or so I cannot take enough slack out of the adjustable lower strap because having the top snap so close to the bottom one will not allow for it. If the top snap was fixed in place about three inches higher up this would not be a problem. Consequently, the flap is a bit looser than I would like much of the time.

The other issue is the aesthetics of the two tone vinyl coated flap. I am sure the vinyl coating adds some water resistance, but it looks tacky. What is even more puzzling about this design decision is that it doesn't cover the top of the flap which is the area most likely to get the worst of the rainfall if you get caught outside in a storm. So, what is the point of having the vinyl at all? It looks ugly and isn't very functional.

I bought this item for 22 dollars in a lightening deal. If I had paid the regular full price of 64 dollars I would have sent it back to Amazon after inspecting it. For the money I paid, I am happy with it for carrying lots of gear and documents.

I bought this in the daily deals section and have been happy with it, but would not pay the $65 list.

It is a comfortable backpack and right-sized for two or three books and a laptop. It has two small zippered pockets and two medium zippered ones ones. The top of the main compartment is closed by a flap and things can fall out if it gets turned upside down. The material and stitching seem to be high quality. It looks good and feels comfortable as a backpack.

Overall it works well for hauling things in and out of the SouthBayMachine school lab.

This bag is really nice. I have a much more expensive backpack but I've ditched it for the buckle-convenience and sleek black look of this bag. I even chose it over my leather laptop bag since it's so much more comfortable (especially when carrying heavy textbooks around), it has more space available, and it not water-sensitive. I wish it had a few pen/pencil loops sewn in, as I imagine if I'm not careful I might have pen marks staining the inside, but there are still nice pouches inside to keep them in. This bag comes highly recommended from me.
