Gregory Z35 Technical Pack

This is the perfect pack for people who want a versatile pack for long day hikes to about 2-3 day trips. I used to use my Baltoro 75 for 3 day packs until I decided to see what this little guy could do. It really surprised me! The thing holds 25-30lbs like a champ (including food and water) and stays comfortable. Of course, all this depends on your body type. I have no butt at all, so the large lumbar support on this pad really helps the pack stay attached to me. Also, if you have particularly large hips, this pack may not work for you. I'm a size 36 waist, and the hip pads just barely cover my Iliac Crests. If your hips are bigger, you may want to go up to the z55 or z65, which have adjustable hip belts that are a bit longer. (that's another fantastic pac, btw.)

I purchased this pack as a birthday gift to myself; mainly for use as a day-pack. I'm retired now and like to walk several times per week with a longer hike every week or so. I live near the Appalachian Trail and my day hikes usually involve 8 to 15 mile trail sections in areas where the elevation on a hike of just a few miles can change 1000 feet or more, 2 or 3 times; a good day pack is a must for these sections of the trail. I liked the quality of this pack right out of the box, but was not free to take it on a test hike for a few days after I got it. When I finally went on a 10+ miler near McAfee Knob, the comfort of the pack far exceeded my expectations; I found the pack to be barely noticeable on my back. I've been on other hikes since and continue to consider this the best day-pack I have ever owned!

I usually carry only 12 or 15 pounds during day-long hikes; consisting mostly of water, but also a little food, camera equipment, rain gear, and a few emergency items. The comfort level of the Z35 is very good at this weight level, but the pack can also easily handle 25-30 pounds and may be used for shorter extended hikes of 2 or 3 days.

If you are looking for a pack for use as described above, look no further ..... the Gregory Z35 Technical Pack is, I believe, as good as they get. The pack can be ordered in torso sizes of S M L, so be sure to order the correct size for your torso.

This pack will get it done as long as you are not humping in several pieces of cast iron. I have heard that this pack pales when it comes to more than a overnighter. Personally I have enough packed in mine to not only stay comfortable but litteraly indefinitely, and possibly establish a pueblo upon arrival. I do wish it had at least one more external zippered pocket. Smokes any of the ospreys I've ever tried on. As she sits, 30-35 lbs. and super comfy....fill source 3l bladder and two nalgene 48oz Canteens...that's all the weight I care to carry with this thing. You can find lots of "cute" little backpacks that are poorly constructed, meant to last only a season before discarding them. I was surprised at how very well made this little backpack is. I foresee using it for years to come. It is also well-designed with many cunning exterior and interior pockets, and a clip for keys. It is the perfect anti-purse for girls who don't do purses! I wish I could find it in other colors, so I could have one for fall/winter and the pink for spring/summer. The hot pink is a bit jarring for winter use. This little bag, especially for the price, is a very pleasant surprise.

I think this backpack is well design for the sport or busy girl b/c of its many compartments. When I got it, I started moving my things over to this bag and I could not fit everything in this bag. When I looked more closely, I saw that the bottom of the bag was not wide enough and I could not carry my water bottle in it.

I brought this bag to replace the mini backpack I already have, but I think I will probably just buy a new one of my old backpack. It's the same size as the FUL bag.

If the bottom was wider in width, I would keep it, but it didn't fit my needs. I really like the design of the comfy straps and the many compartments as well as the zipper in the straps.

Great scale for those who like to travel light to work/the store/gymit can hold a lot for a small backpack! My only complaint is that the material on the straps is rough and scratchy. Bought this for my ipad 2. While I admit it is a little large for this purpose, what I really like is that I can leave my ipad in the keyboard case and carry it on my shoulder. I bought a smaller bag and it barely fit with the case off so this one will work really well for me.

I also love the bright colors. They are not painted on either-I was kind of worried they would be one of those "rubberized" type of decals and would wear off over time but they are not pressed on-they are part of the fabric.

The pocket in front is handy for pens, a small pad and the like.

The neoprene the case is made of will buffer your equipment a bit but it is not overly padded so if you drop it I am not sure it will protect it well. Since mine is in the keyboard case and inside this one it will be more than adequate for what I want.

Oh, and the shoulder strap has a nice feature in the matching neoprene pad. It makes it so that the strap does not cut into my shoulder. Another thing is that is adjusts on both sides-so smart so you can make sure it is even on both sides and that pad stays on your shoulder. I have seen others that adjust on one size and then the padding is either to the front of back of your shoulder-not this one.

My only wish is that the strap connected with metal hardware instead of plastic but for the price I understand you need to compromise in some way. I would absolutely recommend this case and would buy it again. I am actually thinking of getting another one to have on hand should anything happen to this one.

It does have that "new neoprene" smell to it but I sprayed with a little Febreeze and it is fine now.

My daughter needs to bring a laptop in for her CTY program and she is in kindergarten and 5 years old.

This carrying case is great. It hold the 11" laptop, her mandatory notebook and pen with room to spare. I love that the front zip pocket is big enough to put headphones and mouse and I don't have to worry she will lose the items. Most carrying cases don't have a place to store headphones etc. It is soft so it will probably not prevent damage if dropped but it fits in her small LL Bean book bag with folding down the top no problem and helps to keep the weight of her pack down. I like that is doesn't weigh much as we try to limit the weight of her bag on CTY days as she is a small 5 years old. It is also very colorful and bright and perfect for a little girl to like. She has been using it for 2 months now twice a week and still looks brand new so I would say it holds up pretty well at least so far :)

Osprey Momentum 34-Litre Commuter Pack

Ive travelled internationally for my job for over a decade and I've come to expect a lot from the bags I use. In my early days, I had entire packs come apart flinging my stuff everywhere. I decided a long time ago that the bag you trust all of your priceless personal items and expensive gadgets to should not be a cheap piece of junk.

I've used Osprey packs for years, yet they have never had a day pack/computer pack that worked for me, mostly because of their ultralight design approach. The Momentum 34 hits a new high. It has a nice stiff back that protects your laptop and props the bag up on its own without losing comfort. It has great organization and really shouldn't be confined to the bike commute. The two pockets on the shoulder straps are amazing, however, the key zip attachment needs a quick clip and not a O-ring.

My only gripe is that every decent pack needs at least one dedicated bottle/thermos pocket. The momentum has two side pockets at the bottom that are actually very nice for keeping a power brick, cliff bars, etc... i.e. items too for the main compartment of the bag, but too small for the pen/key pocket. When you open the side pockets there is a little mesh lining that keep the items from falling out yet handy at the same time. It's really a great idea. The problem is that these two side pockets are not large enough to keep a bottle/thermos mug. They will fit a can of soda or a 12 oz water bottle, but that's it and not conveniently at all. The thing that saves the Momentum for me is the rear "dump" pocket. It is high and narrow with a bit of stretch to it so a 16-20oz bottle slides in very nicely. It's just wide enough that I can slide my thermos mug in there too. This pocket is dedicated for a U-lock so I'm not sure what Osprey was thinking by not having a water bottle pocket; however, whether by accident or intent, the dump pocket is perfect for people that need to keep liquids at hand!

Honestly, if you want a pack that is well thought through buy from a company that is primarily a pack company like Osprey. NOT The North Face, or many others. Marmot makes great jackets, but horrible packs.

I've had this pack (S/M) for about a month and have used it daily for bicycle commuting and once for a weekend air-travel trip. I'm really happy with it. Finally a backpack that is made to use when riding a bike, that has a bunch of pockets, and that holds enough for a day at work, to the gym, to the shower, and back. There are a few changes that would make this pack perfect, but overall it's been worth my money.

Features:

I love the rain fly. It is bright yellow and comes out and on in about 10 seconds, and even has an attachment spot for a blinky. The lid lock works perfectly to snap my helmet (or a neck pillow)on the outside of my bag. The shoulder straps can be tucked into the bag and zipped away, and there are handles for carrying from the top or side of the pack. I've removed the detachable waist belt, but would put it back on for longer rides with heavier/bigger loads. The pack expands with a zip-around zipper, giving me enough room to easily fit a pair of running shoes when the bag had been too full to fit either before. The compression straps keep the load from being floppy (and were a must-have after my last pack). The sternum strap is adjustable and comfortable but I find I actually have to use it, which wasn't always the case with other packs. It may have something to due with my poly/nylon winter jacket, but the straps are slippery and don't seem to stay on unless I have fasten the sternum strap. This might be a good thing too, but I've never had a problem with chafing from shoulder straps on a bike(upper body doesn't move that much on a bike). The back panel is comfortable and does a great job at keeping any bulky or pointy items from jabbing me. In the winter, my outer layer is windproof and I always appreciate the added warmth of a pack, so I really have no comment on ventilation it allows.

Storage:

It holds more than I thought it would, I've packed running shoes, skirt, shirt, lightweight sweater, heels, along with a 14" laptop and a couple magazines, and was able to zip it up with no problem.

I love the compartmentalization. This pack has enough organization that I can fit all of my essentials (first aid, u-lock, snack bars, patch kit, mini-pump, micro-fiber rag, resistance bands, toiletries, chamois towel, wallet, makeup, pens, watch, jewelry, flip flops, etc.) without putting any of them in the main compartments. This is important both because I want to be able to access this stuff quickly, and also because I'm packing and unpacking daily with a change of clothes (or two).

The shoulder strap pockets (phone on the left (note: on S/M, it is not big enough for an iPhone, don't know about M/L) and keys (with a retractable key ring) on the right) are great, and don't get in the way at all for me.

I have to preface the next piece by saying that this is the best pack I've had for commuting. Osprey makes great packs. Having one of their other backpacking packs, I was thrilled to see their entry into the bike commuter market. That said, here's my biggest complaint about the Metropolis: The positing of the auxillary pockets could be better for everyday commuting use. When my pack is only lightly loaded, since I have the extra pockets full, most of the load is at the top of the pack. Even when it shouldn't be an issue, I still see the pack when I'm looking over my shoulder. (I'm on my bike, so this is important.) Whatever I put into the auxiliary pockets reduces the amount I can put into the main compartment. With the exception of the marsupial pouch and the shoulder strap pockets, the smaller storage pockets all expand into the main compartment instead of expanding outside the bag. So, when I have the auxiliary pockets filled (which I usually do), it means the main compartment isn't an approximate rectangle. I have to squeeze stuff into the bottom of bag where there is space the top is full with contents from the top pocket. I should say almost-the-bottom of the bag either side of the bottom of the bag is full with contents from the side pocket. What makes packing it especially annoying is the fact that the panel access (better than top load!) only unzips the top half of the bag. Getting a pair of dress slacks in without bunching them up is possible, but challenging.

If you want to carry a water bottle on the pack neither my nalgene or stainless steel bottles fit in the side pockets (28 oz range), and when I put a small 12 oz water it, it kept wanting to slide out. All of these bottles fit in the marsupial pouch. But of course, then they aren't accessible without removing the pack. I miss my old pack's mesh pocket. It held a water bottle or whatever else I stuffed in there a bandana, some candy, a pair of gloves. It was really nice to have one-handed access to a pocket on the fly. The size zip pockets have a little mesh webbing, but the webbing is loose so you still need to zip to keep anything from falling out.

There is a second compartment behind the main compartment that holds flat things, like a laptop. It has (what looks like) a waterproof zipper, and inside it has both a fastened pocket for a laptop and another inch or two deep pocket. I bet I could fit two laptops in it! Anyway, it works laptops and papers/books. I love that the laptop pocket is positioned toward the middle of the bag (instead of against the back). It gives the laptop a little more protection. Also the rain fly is in a pocket on the bottom of the pack, also offering a little protective padding down there.

Air travel:

Stuffed to the gills, it fit in the overhead bin (sideways). I had to take the neck pillow out from under the elastic helmet clip (lid lock) and had to pull my winter jacket out of the marsupial pouch, but that probably goes without saying. The fact that I could zip away the shoulder straps meant that I didn't dangle them in another passengers face as I put my bag up. (Sorry for not doing that the first time!)

Summary:

So, overall a great pack. Holds a ton, has awesome bike commuting features, has great compartmentalization, and feels secure and comfortable. I wish the main compartment were easier to load and unload, and that I didn't see it when I looked over my shoulder, but I don't think there is a better bag out there. (Note: immediately after buying this bag, I noticed that Osprey came out with a new cycling pack. Haven't fully investigated, but it may have some improvements over this one.)

This pack has all the bells and whistles you want in a pack. It has a pocket for everything located in the right place and you won't run out of room with it's capacity. My only gripe about this pack is the back panel. It's up against your back and doesn't allow any airflow between it, which means that your back will get sweaty quick. If the next iteration of this pack allowed some airflow or spaced padding to keep the back of the pack away from your back and allow airflow it would be a winner. I've returned the pack and will wait and see if Osprey will make that change. I bought both sizes when I considered purchasing the pack and at 5' 7.5" I decided to go with S/M. I felt the M/L was a little too big. Try both sizes if you can before deciding which size to purchase.

I've been using the pack for about a year for my bike commute in Oregon, USA. The pack is an absolute life saver both for comfort and features.

The back of the pack is relatively stiff which may not sound like the most comfortable thing, but it keeps any stiff items in the bag from poking you (i.e. books laptop chargers, water bottles etc), provides a wide and balanced platform for your load, and allows for the natural contours in your back to act as channels to bring air between you and the pack keeping you cool and dry.

Speaking of dry, Oregon is a wet and rainy place and if you're commuting with a few hundred or a few thousand dollars worth of books, electronics, and other important papers staying dry is key. The fold away rain flap does a great job of this. It has its own pocket at the bottom of the bag and can fold out and cover the bag in a matter of 15-20 seconds (great if you get stuck in a flash downpour). The cover also has a bungee cinch that keeps it tight to the bag, keeping water out and keeping the cover from turning into a sail. I use the two small outer pockets to carry my rain pants and a light rain coat so I'm always prepared to do battle with nature.

Like every thing else on the bag, the straps are well thought out. The shoulder straps are well padded and help to balance the load. A nice feature of the shoulder straps is that they can be unclipped at the waste and tucked into the bag so if you ever want to check the pack you won't have to worry about the straps getting caught on something and damaged. There is also a chest strap and a waist belt to keep the bag secure on your body if you're trying to ride fast. A pair of straps at the top of the shoulder straps allow you to adjust how high the bag rides on your back and a pair of cinch straps on the cargo compartment let you compact the bag to fit what you're carrying.

Size wise I like the bag a lot. The 34L bag is big enough for several books, a computer, a sweater, and probably some lunch. There haven't been many times that I was unable to fit everything I needed for a work day into the bag and honestly the few times I have run into issues it was probably for the better. At a certain point putting too much stuff on your back and going on a bike ride is probably verging on dangerous.

Finally Osprey's customer service is amazing. The bag comes with a lifetime warranty and they will replace broken clips and zippers even if you're probably at fault. I broke (stepped on) one of the waist strap buckles, sent an email to customer support showing which one had broke and had a new one within a week. I like a company that knows that they have a quality product and is willing to stand behind it even if it does cost a bit more than the other products on the market. They stand behind the product, I stand with them. I can't imagine I'll need to replace it for quite some time, but when that time comes I will look to osprey again for another quality product.

I love my yellow S/M pack it holds so much stuff when its expanded (once held three shoe boxes on a trip from work) and can zip up small and still hold my laptop. I am 5'9" and about 160 lbs and it fits me well. I actually have to tighten the chest strap just a couple inches from its tightest setting I would bet that the M/L bag would be way too big for me.

I have a Mac 15" laptop which is technically too small for the flap that holds laptops, but I put it in the gap right next to it which has an inch or more length. BUT this space is not padded when I put the bag on the floor sometimes I can hear the laptop banging on the floor. I solved that problem by keeping my spare tube in the bottom of that slot.

I hate that this bag doesn't have a place for a water bottle. If you commute by bike and train, which I do, I really want a spot to keep my bottle on the outsite of the bag because the bottle sweats i the summer.

I love the helmet clip! Love the rain cover. I love all the pockets I use every one of them for headphones, laptop power cord, building ID card, sunglasses, bike lock etc..

NOTE: the yellow looks sharp but I am halfway into my winter and its a dirty mess from all kicked up dirt on the roads, the occasional puddle and from the dirty subway trains. I wish I could trade it in for a black bag.

I bought this backpack for my university age son, and he is very impressed with it...when I saw the quality of the product, the strength of the fabric, heavy-duty zippers, and, even a hidden rain fly (if you should ever need it), I went looking for the same backpack for my new laptop two years later (which is July of 2010)...my wife has also enjoyed a different sized Targus for a 17 inch laptop, and the quality is superb!

I use this as my daily "commuter" bag when I take the train to and from work. I will also use it as a travel bag for the airplane, but I haven't flown since I bought it.

The backpack seems to be of good quality, and the laptop sleeve is easy to get the computer in and out of.

The rainfly is a nice idea I guess, but I don't envision myself ever really needing it. The waterproof bottom is nice to have, though.

Overall, I wish the interior had some more pockets/divisions, but I am very happy with it.

Justice League Large Rolling Backpack

I purchased this for my son as he was starting kindergarten. Within the first week the mesh drink holder tore. After 2 months the wheel cracked and eventually broke off completely. Also the strap got caught on something and detached from the base of the backpack. Hard to believe we couldn't even make it half way through the school year with a 5 year old and this backpack. Cute design but not durable.

This pack fits everything I need for overnight hikes into the hills and is very comfortable. I like the ability to use each piece separately or together. I've added a hydration bladder to the pack and my gear still fits well with some room left over.

I bought this backpack about 5 months ago and I'm extremely happy with my purchase!

It has a really big main pocket (aprox. 18x15x5")with a pocket for a hydration bladder in it and multiple good size pockets on the outside for added storage. The construction feels quite sturdy and the fabric is quiet enough, so you wont be making any unwanted noise on the woods. As for the waist-pack, it's very big as well (aprox. 13x5x8")with 3 outside pockets, so you can fit any thing you may (or may not, hahaha) need on your hunting trip.

You can use the backpack and waist-pack separately or together. I found both ways to be very comfortable, the upside of using them together is that the waist-pack gives added stability to the backpack, as you can hook the shoulder straps directly to the waist-pack. Plus the padding on both is quite thick, which makes them ideal for long hikes.

The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 is that I haven't use it on rainy days so I don't know how waterproof this is...

I ordered this bag in hopes of taking to college, and carrying around my beloved 15" MacBook Pro.

While my Mac fits in the laptop sleeve pretty well, the bag itself is a lot smaller than expected.

I can fit about 2 textbooks in there and 1 2" 3-ring Binder. The pockets on the side are awkward, but

I can manage to slide my TI-84 in there. The straps are comfortable, but they don't extend as far as I'd like,

meaning this bag sits directly on your back.

The bag is beautiful though. The forest green is a little lighter and more faded out than I expected but that's

okay with me. The quality seems awesome--I expect this bag to last forever.

I do recommend any college students investing in a new bag look into the Kanken Big or Maxi... This one just doesn't cut it.

High Sierra Colossus 26" Cross-Sport Duffel

This bag is a very good bag. It has many nice compartments for all your workout and or gym needs. It fits well in most lockers and has MEGA room for all your towels and other needs. There is even a bottom compartment (under the main compartment) accessed by another zipper area, that you can have dress clothes that is NOT in contact with your gym stuff so you will be ready to head back to work with no need to head home. It does take a little getting used to walking with it on your shoulder (bumping into stuff because of it's size), but all in all a well made and top quality bag for an active lifestyle. I recommend it.

This bag has been a solid workout bag for me for a few months now. Here are some of its highlights:

1. lots of pockets

2. large flat pocket on bottom will fit a rolled up yoga mat

3. all pockets are well-lined and can contain after-run clothes or toiletry bottle leaks without dirtying the rest of the bag contents

4. it is HUGE, but still fits upright in the lockers at my gym ("half-size" lockers, just tall enough to hang a shirt in)

The only things that I have seen wrong are:

1. the backpack straps in the back just don't position the bag comfortably on my back, and then drag on the ground if you pick the bag up like a shoulder bag I just leave those straps hidden, but you could also likely shorten them if you are handy with sewing

2. the zipper pulls have all frayed, that is that the "flag" that attaches to the zipper handle to help make it easier to pull are all now frayed. The zipper itself is well constructed, but this is one minor annoyance of the bag

I use this bag for swimming and it gives me the space I need for everything. I wish the side pocket had netted dividers for bottles, as it is I just had a roll-up shower tote I use separately. Great features though and appears to be very good construction.

This bag is big and keeps everything I need for the gym at hand. I thought when I bought it that I would use the separate wet pockets at either side of the bag, but I've just ended up throwing everything in the middle. The reason is when I put my shoes in the wet pocket, they protrude so far into the bag that I can't get my into it to access anything else easily. The pocket on the bottom also seemed like a great idea, until I found myself using it only to store my flip-flops, which would have fit better into a mesh side sleeve or something. Overall it works, but I could have done without the side pockets to give me more room, and could have forgone the entire bottom pocket to make the bad slightly smaller. I still use it daily for the gym, but I may keep looking for my perfect gym bag.

I have been looking for a duffel to use as a combination gym bag and overnight bag for short trips. This bag does a great job for both purposes.

Pros:

+Large bag

+Lots of pockets

+Straps to use as backpack

Cons:

-Feels a little cheap

-Second side pocket shoe holder is unnecessary and adds clutter

Overall, great bag. Wish it were a little tougher to handle some abuse, but it should be fine for a few years. The large size and multitude of pockets ensure you'll have room for plenty of stuff. The straps to wear as a backpack is a nice addition also. For the price, it would be difficult to find a better bag with more features, despite the few setbacks.

Neat little backpack. Not the softest leather, but feels robust. One issue is that after a month of use the fabric around the zips is starting to pill. Can be cleaned up easily enough though.

This is my third in this line. I have had the smaller, lighter brown for year (still have it but it's showing its age) and also recently purchased the smaller one in black. Love them all, well made, attractive and I can fit my iPad in this larger one. If you want an attractive, leather backpack style purse I highly recommend this one.

This is my new favorite purse. There is a place for my phone, my pepper spray, my credit cards and my wallet so I don't have to rummage through the whole thing to find what I'm looking for. The straps are sturdy and long enough. It's a little heavy, but it's not a problem because it's comfortable to wear. It looks good and is easy to clean. It was a little pricey, but I think the quality is well worth cost.

This bag is perfect! Not too big, not too small, but just right. Plenty of zippered pockets, large main area with zippered pocket for pens, lipstick, etc. After years of using shoulder strap bags and purses I finally am using a back pack again. Reminds me of college days. I love having the option of carrying the bag on one shoulder or two or in my hand with the top handle. It even has room for a paperback or one of my smaller knitting projects. Nice leather and constructed very well.

This backpack purse is very good quality. It is a good size for menot too big nor too small. It fits well on my back. It is a good deal for the price and is leather. It's hard to find backpack purses in stores, so I'm glad I found this site. I have neck pain, so a backpack purse is the most comfortable for me.

I bought it, with a budget in mind and a liking for the style. When I first opened it, there was a really strong plastic or some weird smell. It's fainter now but it still has the smell...of cheap materials. The handles are really poorly made, they're thin straps basically that are inside, so while yes, when you don't need it (I hope you don't), it can be hidden...but when you need it, the zipper needs to be open to use it and it looks so weak that it'll rip within a few weeks of using it. It hasn't yet, but we'll see in the future. If your laptop's heavy, I recommend you not to use the strap. Use it as a laptop case, not carrier. However, one good thing for me about this item is the size. My laptop's big and fat, 15.6" and it fits it perfectly. It'll be wayy too big for the smaller laptops it's shown for though. I recommend it only if you have close to 15" laptops, not any smaller.

The sleeve itself is cute, it fits my laptop perfectly. However, the handles are on the inside, so if you want to use them you have to leave the very top part unzipped, which is annoying.

There's no pocket for any wires etc, which if thats not what you were looking forshouldnt matter. Over allpretty good.

I have taken this bag through several countries and about 20,000 miles of travel so far... it has been a great choice! My only complaint is that it tends to tip over with the daypack attached if it is fully loaded, this is easy to avoid by habitually leaning the front of it against a wall if you have to let it go.

The large bag is an ideal size for a checked-bag on the plane, it will accomodate a weeks worth of clothes comfortably and is easy to close when full. The wheels are pretty rugged, being large and well-placed; I am careful with wheeled luggage after several broken pieces through the years but find these to be holding up well. The handle is sturdy and I haven't had any issues with it binding or sticking yet. There are large and comfortable carry handles on the top and side, making it easy to load/unload from vehicles and luggage racks. The shoulder straps hidden in the back panel are functional, though I wouldn't want to use them for more than a few minutes at a time; great if you encounter stairs in a subway station or hotel, but not a hiking pack of any kind.

The carry-on bag is a little on the small side, keeping a laptop and accessories and a DSLR is about all it will take; there is room for wallets, phones, passports and the like in the front compartment. The water bottle holder on the side is a fantastic place to keep an umbrella (I took it to London and was very glad for this). It stores nicely in the overhead bin on the plane.

My favorite coup with this pack so far has been at the left luggage storage in Paris and Dubai, when zipped together you only get charged for storing ONE piece of luggage! This will save you enough that the bag will pay for itself in about a year...

Overall my opinion is that this is the best solution for the frequent air traveler; it is easy to roll on pavement or concrete, you can always put it all on your back for a flight of stairs or unprepared surface, it is well-built and sturdy, it doesn't seem to show dirt easily. I have recommended it to my friends and family.

Got this bag last minute before a month long trip traveling around in Europe. This thing has survived the snow, falls, and so much abuse and it still looks like it's brand new. The best thing about it is the removable backpack. It's one of the best backpacks I've ever owned thanks to all the pockets and design.

I noticed that the luggage side view width is pretty big. It was hard to squeeze it into my trunk of my car.

The material is pretty strong. I use it for traveling for work and will be using it for my 2 week vacation. The detach backpack is great. When I get where I need to, I just detach the backpack off. Telescope works well.

The color is really pretty.

I bought this bag a couple of months ago, for a planned extended trip across Asia. When using it on a short test run to Mexico, a front zipper malfunctioned, the "teeth" keep randomly splitting open... even when very lightly filled. After a couple of weeks of trying to resolve this, they are proving to be incredibly slow in responding, and not helpful. The bag may prove to be worthless, unless they get back to me very soon with a solution.

Things happen, and I understand that this bad zipper is just a bit of bad luck, but bad customer service is not an accident, and not necessary. They have lost a customer here.
