Higher Ground TechNomad Laptop Backpack

Higher Ground TechNomad Laptop BackpackPRO: 1. Very well padded; your notebook computer will be well protected. 2. Slim and professional-looking. 3. Sides are relatively rigid so bag stands up on its own for easy loading.

CON: 1. My primary complaint is that the notebook compartment is far deeper (thicker) than it needs to be since notebooks are much much thinner than they used to be. This leaves the other main compartment smaller, sometimes making it difficult to carry enough other stuff. 2. No internal zippered pocket for keeping valuables or just things you definitely do not want to get loose in your bag. 3. Front surface zippered pocket opens all the way to its base so that if one unzips it all the way the down, items can fall out.

I just love how Higer Ground Backpack looks. Very elegant. My MAC Pro is well pretected and I can travel anywhere with pride.

I recomend this backpack to any one that love their Laptop

Tumi Luggage Vapor Continental Carry-On

Tumi Luggage Vapor Continental Carry-On, Silver, One SizeI got this bag as a gift for my parents, as it is about 15% larger than the Tumi Vapor International carry-on (TU28020) that I use. Still, at 22"x15.75"x9", it is small and maneuverable. I believe that this bag will make it onto most flights (excepting regional jets/turbo-props), though technically it's a little too wide in accordance with some published airline specifications (14" vs. the bag's 15.75"). If you never want to have to be told it's too big, go for the International (as I did for myself). If you need a little more space and don't mind having the ability to carry on be a little hit or miss, give this one a try. I may be wrong on this, but I don't think they make you pay the checked bag fee if they take the bag from you at the gate.

High Sierra Ashphalt Daypack

High Sierra Ashpalt Kelly Backpackgreat pack. protects my laptop well. easy to sling over my shoulder. plenty of compartments. It's just what I was looking for. Zippers are smooth & work well.

I love this backpack! It's sturdy and the laptop pocket in the back is so convenient! It makes it feel like you are barely carrying anything. I am super glad I bought this backpack!

This backpack has, so far, withstood the abuse of my high school freshman son in and out of the car a bit of dragging tossing and kicking, without even a scuff! We usually go through several backpacks a year. Don't think it will happen this year.

This pack is roomy and has several compartments easy to keep all items in it, including snack items and two drinks, and avoid trips to the locker in his busy school day (with very little passing time between classes). Padded straps make carrying it much easier. Clips instead of velcro or snaps (which we prefer less likely to wear or tear).

I love the size, color, and the fact that it has a separate space for my laptop (VERY essential for the college student on-the-go) and the price was great. The quality is also very nice. The only downside is that the shoulder straps feel kinda awkward but you eventually get used to it, haha.

Herschel Supply Co.: Pop Quiz (w/ Laptop Sleeve)

Herschel Supply Pop Quiz BackpacksI wasn't sure what to expect with this backpack since the price is kinda high. However, I was surprised with the quality. This seems like a very durable, waterproof backpack. The fabric is a cotton plastic type bend that is tough and thick. There appears to be a rubber underside to the fabric which is nice. The Laptop sleeve and sunglass pouch are lined with not "fleece" but more of a furry black lining. It is furry and soft, but rubs off a little when I stick my cell phone in the sunglass pouch. The laptop sleeve will definitely fit a 15in laptop (and protect it well). I like this back pack a lot, there are a lot of nice pockets. The only annoyance is that the zippers are hard to pull. The flap that covers the zipper kinda gets in the way for quick efficient zipping. In addition, the white zipper in the front pocket is VERY hard to pull. I need to use two hands. It seems like the zipper is super thick or something which makes it hard to pull. Hopefully it'll not break on me. Overall this is a good quality bag. The size is also quite nice. It fits all my stuff. I was a little worried it would be on the small side, but it's average backpack size.

Really liked this pack but do consider it is a relatively small backpack. Looks great and seems quite durable though.

Yens® Fantasybag "Cross" Laptop Mono Strap Backpack-Black, 3BP-12

Yens® Fantasybag 'Cross' Laptop Mono Strap Backpack-Black, 3BP-12Ok,

first off, $15 is a rediculously low price for a backpack (go to walmart target etc and compare...) with that said, the build quality of the bag is less than ideal, but the minimalistic nature and usability for carrying a laptop/tablet/peripherals is absolutely perfect. It fits my 14" laptop just fine along with my tablet, wireless mouse, and all charger cables. It's a great on the go bag for such a low price I'm planning on buying 2-3 bags to have them on reserve (due to the 8-12 month lifespan of the bag with regular use).

This is a great $15 bag ... if you were expecting a high build quality for $15, you need to rethink before you write a bad review.

I had to sew one seam together already, but then the main compartment zipper head came off. It would be a fine bag if it was sturdier.

Dakine 13-Litre Anya Pack

Dakine 13-Litre Anya PackI ordered this bag to fit my Dell XPS 15z which is 15.5" wide and it does not even come close to fitting. However, I really like the bag and kept it to use for my tablet and as a carry on, etc. It is very good quality and I like the pattern a lot. But I was pretty disappointed that even though it "fits most 15" laptops" mine was nowhere near fitting. As other reviewers have stated, some of Dakine's bags have the drawback of not using extending zippers, the zippers take an inch on either side from the width of the bag, so even if your laptop would fit dimensionally, the zippers keep it from doing so.

I have a 15.6 inch hp laptop and it doesn't fit. I kept the bag anyway because its pretty and useful for other things. If you want it specifically for a laptop I would definitely check out the specs on dakine's website first

I really love this bag. It is solid construction and just enough room for my computer and a few other essential items. It is very slim, which I LOVE! I can see myself using this bag for years and years.

My ONLY complaint so far is that my 15" MacBook Pro barely fits. It fits well in the main bag, but the zippered top has about 1" on either side (structural zipper support) that makes the bag opening slightly too small to get the laptop through! It is a struggle to take my computer in and out of the bag. It it really annoying. However, I love this bag so much, I deal with it.

Neoprene Laptop Carrying Case Sleeve Bag w. Hidden Handle & Eyelet (D-Ring) for 17 17.3 Inch Notebo

Neoprene Laptop Carrying Case Sleeve Bag w. Hidden Handle & Eyelet for 17 17.3 Inch Notebook - Rainbow Music Note DesignI was psyched when I got this sleeve in the mail and saw it. The design on it is absolutely gorgeous, and while the colors aren't QUITE so saturated as in the display image, they're still vibrant and beautiful, on both sides of the sleeve. The material is smooth and lovely, has some nice thickness to it, and while I wouldn't often use this alone for carrying my laptop around, I love that it has handles for easier transport. It feels very well-made, and fits my huge 17.3" (16:9 ratio) laptop quite nicely, although there's an extra inch or two at the top. I was more concerned about the width, though, and it fits absolutely fine that way, not too snug, but definitely not loose either with the 16.6" width of my Acer Aspire.

I will point out that the sleeve does smell quite strongly due to the neoprene, for the first few days after unpackaging it; and I would definitely recommend airing it out, both wide open and laying flat. DON'T LET THE SCENT DETER YOU. The smell faded most of the way within two days after receiving it, and it's only noticeable now (a full 3 days later) if you're close to the sleeve and actually searching for the scent. I still very highly recommend this sleeve!

I was a little disappointed that it don't come with the scrap like what was listed on the description plus the pictures described. But over all everything is fine.

Iris Pack - Women's by Gregory

Iris Pack - Women's Rouge SM by Gregory Mountain Products, LLCBought this for my wife. Be sure to select the correct frame size to ensure the most comfortable and stable fit. My wife is about 5'4" and of small to medium build, the small pack suited her just fine.

One of the side mesh pocket is tilted forward to allow easy access to your water bottle when the pack is worn. There are also mesh pockets on the waist belt for quick access without opening the pack. Back frame provides good support for the entire length of the back and is comfortable for long distances when everything is properly adjusted.

Internal volume is a tad small, I realize it's meant for use as a day pack but I've seen comparable packs which offer about 10-20% more volume. Other than that, I recommend the pack readily.

Great price from this seller on Amazon. It's available elsewhere for much more.

Mountainsmith Approach 35 Recycled Camera Bag

Mountainsmith Approach 35 Recycled BackpackI've had this pack for a while now and put some miles on it, so this is an updated review... Mountainsmith is now on a new generation, but some of these are still floating around. Having seen the new model, I think this one is better.

I love the organization of this pack. A place for everything and everything in it's place. I've found that external pocket designs on many packs just aren't very functional. Not the case with this one, they're a great design. If you're a light packer it's big enough to be used for overnight camping. In the back country I primarily use it for day trips where I want to bring a lot technical gear. Hunting, climbing, etc... I also use it as travel bag in and among civilization. Would make a good bug out bag or light pack for something like the Camino where you'll be staying in hostels, inns, boarding houses, etc. For me, the comfortable capacity tops out at 25lbs though I'm sure it's physically capable of carrying much more. The construction is very good. Durable 420D nylon. #10 YKK for the main zipper and the rest are #8's. Mine has stood up to rough use and abuse.

On the downside... A better waist belt would increase the load bearing capacity. The elastic water bottle pockets aren't super, but there's many other highly functional pockets on this thing to choose from.

Great pack.... IF... it fits your needs.

I bought this bag for a trip to Europe and I love it. I fit everything that I needed for three weeks and was still able to fit it in the overhead bin.

Yens® Fantasybag "eGREEN" Fold-Up Drawstring Cooler Backpack, insulated-Forest Green, NCP-21

Yens® Fantasybag 'eGREEN' Fold-Up Drawstring Cooler Backpack, insulated-Forest Green, NCP-21Needed a cooler for biking and saw this item on Amazon and decided to try it out. For what you pay for it, it's good enough. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. When the bag is empty, it is extremely flimsy, almost paper like, and doesn't sit well when you wear it. When it is full of items, it keeps it nice and snug. For something that's fairly cheap, it does it's job.

I got this backpack in hopes it was in-between a basic drawstring and a basic school bag. It definitely is. Light thin material highly adjustable. Very nice

AmeriLeather Urban Buckle-Flap Backpack

AmeriLeather Urban Buckle-Flap BackpackLet me start off by saying that this is a GREAT backpack. I'm a female professional in my 20's and I wanted a backpack that didn't make it look like I was still in Junior High. I got it in Brown and the color is GORGEOUS! Not too light, not too dark. The actual backpack is a bit heavy by itself because it is made of leather and has three extra pockets. However, I can fit my laptop, waterbottle, a change of clothing, wallet, keys, ipod, and cellphone comfortably. The buckles and snaps work fine for me. The only problem I have with this backpack is the insanely long straps. I'm 5"5 and with the straps in the tightest setting the bottom of the backpack still hit somewhere along my butt. I ended up using a screwdriver to poke my own holes in the belt for the strap. Other than that I love this thing. It's extremely durable and fashionable as well.

The bag cam earlier than expected! Although I didn't know it and wound up waiting until the date it said it would arrive to ask my doorman if it came. The bag is exactly what it looks like and is described as in the picture. I think I've carried it everyday since I got it. I can fit my computer, a change of clothes for the gym, folders for work and misc. items like hand sanitizer and eyes drops in the little pockets. GREAT PURCHASE!

Osprey Talon 11-Litre Backpack

Osprey Talon 11-Litre BackpackI purchased this pack for very long distance unsupported trail runs. I am new at this distance and and will likely never be a professional. I do not race.

Pros:

* Minimal weight

* Minimal bounce

* Straps don't rub

* Pack doesn't "crawl" up your back as you run (I hate that!)

* Pockets on hips large enough for GPS, Smart phone, or a couple of Clif Bars, yet small enough that they don't abrade the inside of my forearms

* Pockets on shoulder straps fits energy gells, my watch, my old-fashioned flip phone.

* Fits my older Platypus Hoser 3-liter hydration bladder.

* Easy to extract said bladder for refill without emptying contents of the pack.

* Fits enough gear for changing temperatures/altitude/conditions and "essentials" on daylong backcountry trail runs.

* Stretch pockets on side of pack for narrow water bottles (i.e., not Nalgene 1-Liters) perfectly sized and perfectly placed (I can reach them without removing the pack).

Cons:

* Light load compression should be better. The external storage bungee acts as a very limited compression.

* My waist has not yet shrunk to be sufficiently narrower than my ribs to prevent the hip belt from riding up over the bottom of my ribcage. I think, however, that this is more the fault of my slight paunch than that of the pack. If my waist narrows, I shall update this review.

WHY I GOT IT

For shorter distances (6 to 10 miles), I just need water which can be accomplished in a myriad of ways readily available. For longer distances (over 10 miles) I need some source of energy (gels or whatnot), and even for this there are plenty of waistpacks or running vests or hydration whatevers which will hold enough water, and a couple of energy bars and energy gels. However, I plan on running 50+ miles solo and largely without support through unfamiliar backcountry. There are plenty of packs which can be used to walk this distance, but the experience of running in most day packs goes from unpleasant to painful to injurious. These hiking specific packs tend to bind, rub, and bounce horribly when running.

OTHER CHOICES

One solution was to limit what I carry and use a smaller running pack like the Nathan HPL #020. There are others in that genre, but the Nathan seems to be the gold standard for ultra endurance runners. Nathan calls it a "Race vest," and videos of long distance trail runners wearing this abound. I felt, however, that its 275 c.i. cargo capacity was insufficient. I want to carry some "just-in-case" essentials, as weather can change on a day-long run, I might be traversing sufficient altitude as to expect different conditions on top, and if I'm having a slow day or I get a little off course I might find myself on an accidental camp-out.

My choices, then, looked to be limited to a few packs meant primarily for long-distance mountain biking as well as what the industry seems to be terming, "mult-use," "mult-sport," or "adventure racing" hydration packs. Manufacturers of these include Inov-8, Salomon, Camelbak, Gregory, and Osprey, but I didn't find examples of all of these packs in nearby stores to try on. I was, however, able to try on the Osprey Raptor 10, the Osprey Manta 20, and the Gregory Miwok 18, as well as the Osprey Talon 11.

**As a caveat, I did not wear my running gear into the store, nor did I bring a full water bladder to insert into the pack. It's not a bad idea to wear what you will wear and load what you will carry to test the pack out in the store, but even more important is a good store return policy. You can get a feel for the pack in the store, but distance is the real test. I suppose its not illegal to run laps in your local outfitter, but it'll likely be long before mile 15 that the folks in green vests ask you to stop sweating on their samples.

The Raptor and Talon are nearly identical in fit and feel, I found, so the main distinction was how I prefer to organize my gear. The Raptor had stretch hip pockets with no other seal (zipper, velcro, etc...) than the compression of the elastic (the Talon's hip pockets were stretch mesh with zipper closures) and the Raptor did not have the nifty shoulder strap pockets of the Talon. The other differences can easily be identified by an in-store comparison, but those I listed were important to me.

The Manta seemed to fit fine (no bounce, no binding, no rubbing), but is designed (goofily, if you ask me) as a miniature version of a full-featured technical backpacking pack -it even has an "integrated rain cover" -which gave me less apparent room (the specs say the Manta 18 has more room than the Talon 11, but I couldn't find it) and it weighs almost twice the Talon.

The Miwok 18 I found had insufficient support (stiffness) on the back panel. The Ospreys have a structured foam back panel which seemed to reduce pack bounce, and provides a protective barrier between the screwcap of my Platypus Hoser and my ribs. The Miwok has a truly nifty compression system which allows you to easily compress on the go. However, even when I really cinched this down there was a surprising amount of bounce. This is possibly at least partially related to the size. The Miwok 18 is identical to the Gregory Wasatch 12 except in capacity (18 and 12 liters respectively), the latter being the pack which would be more appropriate for my purposes. The Wasatch, however, wasn't in the store and since the Miwok and Wasatch were identical in every other way, I thought I'd still get a good feel. Also, the hip-belt pockets (I find these useful for accessing stuff on the go) on the Gregory, were so wide as to cause my forearms to brush against them while running. I can just imagine how nice my raw, bleeding arms would feel at the end of a 20 miles of that. The tethers of the shoulder straps and hip belt are stretchy and multi-part ("a set of flexible tendons," says Gregory). Though seemingly a major selling-point for Gregory, it did not make a difference in my brief, under-loaded, in-store test.

The winner for me was the Osprey Talon 11. It had the capacity I needed, the weight was not obtrusive, the flop nearly absent, and had both hip-belt pockets and neat little elastic pockets on the shoulder straps. The MSRP is not awful ($89 when I looked), and various colors and sizes can be found on sale for 10 to 15 bucks less. I got mine for $65 bucks, shipping included. I just did a test run of around 7 miles/1300' cumulative elevation gain with a minimal load. The pack performed as I had hoped, up hill and down, over rock and river, ducking branches, and on straight stretches of monotonous tarmac. It stayed put, didn't beat me up, and carried my necessities with plenty of room.

SIZING

I was the victim of some confusion in various online comments (not here, but elsewhere) about the sizing of this pack. The pack comes in two sizes, "S/M" and "M/L". Some comments suggested that the size difference is merely capacity, and if you go to the Osprey website's page for this pack the listing does not suggest otherwise. There is definitely a capacity difference (549 c.i. vs 671 c.i.), but there is also definitely a fit difference. If you go to the Osprey website's page detailing pack sizing (for all their packs), you will see the fit guide. I thought I would get the M/L for extra cargo capacity. The M/L that I ordered was a pack that flopped and rubbed and poked me in the lower back, contrary to the pack I had tried on which had fit so beautifully. I returned it and got the S/M which fit like a dream. Check the Osprey website pack sizing page to make sure you get the right one! This size difference, by the way, is available on the Osprey, whereas it was not available on the Gregory.

I have been using this backpack for everything. This is the perfect combination of style, comfort and function.

1. Daily commute to work. it fit my mac air 13' comfortable inside. I have also have a jacked in my pack to hold the laptop in place.

2. running pack. bound the body perfectly, no shake what so ever.

3. day hiking. I carry a light jacket, 3 litter water bladder, snacks, trekking poles and some small stuff like knifes and headlamp. works very well. highly recommended as a day pack.

I love my day pack. Light weight but strong. It feels like it is not even there. I have a bad back and this pack spreads the weight between my shoulders and hips. Pleanty of storage space, even with the water tank in it. Pleanty of areas to clip on items with c-clips. It looks cool too. Did I mention I love mine and I believe you would love one you bought too.

Used this backpack in the half Geoquest adventure race (160km trek, kayak, tubing, mountain bike over 48 hours). The bag easily fits in all the mandatory race gear (med pack, thermals, gore jacket), food, 3L hydro port (bought separately) and other bits and pieces you'll need for a race. The pockets on the straps are great for bars and gels as are the front pockets on the waist straps which also readily accommodate a compass. I've trained with this bag almost daily and it's been bulletproof. The bag is easily adjustable and have had no back or knee issues with 2hr+, 9kg pack training runs in hilly national park terrain. The reflective material on the back and locations to clip in lights make it an ideal mountain bike bag as well. This pack is an excellent, tough pack for mountain biking and long (12hr+) adventure races.

I use this backpack primarily to run home from work. It's light and easy to get a snug fit (although it moves a teeny bit on my petite frame) that doesn't bounce when you run. There's space in the bag for my shoes and work clothes with enough space leftover that I can bring work home if I want. The material on the front is stretchy, so there's no annoying bounce of the contents when running even if the bag isn't full. I use a Platypus 2L Zip SL system with it. The only negative is that it's not quite wide enough to easily fit a file folder for bringing work home.

Mobile Edge Alienware Neoprene Sleeve - M14x

Mobile Edge Alienware Neoprene Sleeve - M14x(AWNS14)The Alienware M14x is a pretty weirdly shaped computer. It's angled in such a way that the front lip and rear hinge jut out at hard angles, as opposed to most laptops which are more or less flat in the front and back. Because of the sharp edges, you need to make sure that it's padded properly when you put it in a bag--with all of the system's hefty weight concentrated on the hinge or lip, it would be very easy to damage. This sleeve was specifically designed to pad these "pressure" points, and it does a good job, for the most part.

First, the bad stuff. The zipper looks and feels really cheap. I'm not sure how long it's going to hold up, but it seems okay after a few weeks. Next, that plastic alien head looks really bad. Mine came with obvious flaws on the plastic and has sort of a cloudy look as a result. Somewhat disappointing that something which serves no functional purpose is also really ugly.

Now, the good stuff. There is a lot of padding on the inside for the sharply-angled regions of the laptop. There's also an inner lip that fits over the front of the laptop to prevent the zipper from damaging the glossy plastic. It's quite clear that this bag was designed specifically for the M14x, as it fits very snugly inside. The handles are very helpful for a laptop this heavy. There's a front pocket, but I'm not really sure what you could or would put in it.

Another reviewer rated this lower because the power adapter doesn't fit in the front pocket. I don't think that's a valid point. The M14x's power brick is huge and approaching the bulk of an XBOX 360 power adapter. This is a sleeve designed to protect the laptop when placed inside another bag, not to serve as a carry-all for the laptop and its accessories. Mobile Edge also makes a messenger style bag for the M14x which is actually designed to fit more accessories. But if you already have a laptop messenger bag, this sleeve is a really good way to add some extra protection to those angled portions of the M14x.

This is the worst fitting sleeve I have ever seen. It says designed specifically for the Alienware M14x. I do not see how this is possible. I felt like I was forcing my laptop into this tiny case. The corners were poking out and stretching the case. This looked like it was doing more harm then good.

Please see the pictures.

I returned this sleeve and bought the Incase 15" Neoprene Sleeve Case.

The Laptop FITS AMAZINGLY!

I was not sure about this case because of the other reviews, once i actually received the item I was impressed. It is a little tight on the computer but you can definitely tell that this case was specifically designed for the m14x. When you first open the case it has a flap that covers the front of the computer and this is very nice because it adds protection to the pointy edges. Would definitely recommend to other m14x owners.

The M14X fits snuggly in here but the design has a pretty big flaw. The charger for this lap top is rather large and though the charger does fit in the side pocket, it just barely fits and is a struggle to get it in and out. I would recommend this case for protection purposes but this may not be the best option for a travel case or something that will be used on the go

Anybody considering purchasing this should realize that it is a "sleeve" and not a "case". You are not going to store more than just the notebook computer itself and maybe your mobile device like an iPhone or Blackberry. It is great protection for when the computer is not in use or packed in a suitcase.

With that said. It is a fantastic sleeve. It looks great and provides excellent protection for my m14x when I take it out of the house for brief use (without a power supply) or when I put it away at night.

Ben 10 Draw String Backpack Bag

Ben 10 Draw String Backpack BagI ordered this bag for my 8 year old son, Max. He is a huge Ben 10 fan. OMG!!! You should have seen his face when he opened the package. He was soooooo excited. I am personally impressed with the structure of the bag. We have seen all kinds in the stores (ie. nike, adidas, etc.) and not one of them is made as durable as this. This was a great buy.
