PRO: 1. Very well padded; your notebook computer will be well protected. 2. Slim and professional-looking. 3. Sides are relatively rigid so bag stands up on its own for easy loading.

CON: 1. My primary complaint is that the notebook compartment is far deeper (thicker) than it needs to be since notebooks are much much thinner than they used to be. This leaves the other main compartment smaller, sometimes making it difficult to carry enough other stuff. 2. No internal zippered pocket for keeping valuables or just things you definitely do not want to get loose in your bag. 3. Front surface zippered pocket opens all the way to its base so that if one unzips it all the way the down, items can fall out.

I just love how Higer Ground Backpack looks. Very elegant. My MAC Pro is well pretected and I can travel anywhere with pride.

I bought this bag for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it. It's just right for her books and folder.

Got this and another bag for my 4 year old who went bananas when she saw them absolutely loves them. It's not meant for heavy books though as the bottom is not heavy duty good enough for a pre-schooler though.

Tumi Unisex-Adult Alpha Tumi T-Pass Laptop Bag

I bought this backpack and have been using it for over a year at this point. This pack is perfect for anyone who travels a lot for work.

Construction of the pack iteself is solid as other reviews have noted. The material is heavy duty. The stictching is well reinforced. Pulls on this pack are made out of sturdy metal pieces. Even the handle on the top is stitched well then reinforced with rivets which allows the pack to hang quite nicely off the front of a roller board luggage hook.

Other Pros:

Comes with a separate zip pouch (removable). I use this for my charging plugs, cords, etc.

There are lots of pockets in which to store and organize your stuff

The middle compartment is large. Some people want dividers here, but I think it's perfect to allow for slightly larger items.

The back computer compartment unzips and folds out like a butterfly allowing you to push it through metal detectors without having to remove your laptop (as long as nothing else is stored in there with it).

Cons:

Price: The backpack is rather expensive. Worth it if you travel a lot for work.

Weight: Because it is sturdy and roomy it weighs more than other bags. I'm a 5'2" woman and I find this acceptable.

Size: Both a plus and a minus. You can store lots of stuff. This bag is a bit too wide to easily store, however, under an airline seat on the aisle (those seats are narrower than the window and middle seats in many planes). That means storing in an overhead bin always if you have the side pockets full.

With a year's worth of use on this bag, I have yet to identify any real ware and/or failure on the bag. So far, it's been very reliable and useful.

Very durable and a lot of space. Not light at all. But a nice choice for road warriors! T pass is very good to save time

i've been looking for a more functional and appropriate carry-on bag to be used for long haul trips to international destinations (not adventure travel) focused on culture and cities. My goal was a bag that passes through TSA easily, has separate computer spot and mutliple pockets to accomodate all accessories, snacks, batteries, etc. This bag does the trick, I am able to put my computer and ipad in the TSA approved pocket. Inside i am able to securely pack a Nikon DSL with 16-85 lens, 50mm lens, binoculars, with ample room to add magazines, headphones, snacks, and compact tripod. I am using the very top outside pocket to house lens cleaning equipment and sunglasses. The left pocket has all my power accessories, the right pocket has my international GPS with power. the two front pockets will hold passport and filters, lens caps.

Now it does not come with the all the foam dividers , but that is easily adjusted for by using a t-shirt and buying a foam block that you can customize to your needs.

I first saw this backpack in line at the airport in the back of the person in front of me in line. The first thing you'll notice is the quality construction. Metal pulls, reinforced heavy duty zippers, more packets than a pack of kangaroos, and a very clean design. I was sold immediately when the person in front of me quickly unzipped the laptop side, laid the backpack down for the x-ray, and flipped over the laptop portion without having to take it all apart. A very nice feature.

This backpack also carries really well on your shoulders when both straps are used. the load balances well and it's as comfortable as it gets.

Drawbacks? There are two:

Weight

The price is close to a "get what you pay for" value but still a bit high even for that. If I did not travel as much as I do I would not have justified this backpack.

The weight is what you make of it. The backpack itself is not particularly heavy but it has a surprising amount of storage. Net result is you have to self manage pretty closely to keep your trips comfortable. This thing will easily hold enough to remind you when you haven't worked out lately. The center pouch alone is cavernous. I have been able to easily carry two full size laptops and their accessories in this when needed. I don't recommend it though unless you like your chiropractor.

Overall I highly recommend this Tumi. Learn to self manage what you put into it and you'll mitigate the weight issue.

Though I wasn't sure what the brand name of the bag was, this turned out to be: Akona Deluxe Mesh Backpack (AKB234)

This bag is made of very sturdy, high quality material and I'm very happy with it.

There are 2 minor problems.

1) The "water proof pouches" don't have water-proof zippers. If you submerge the bag in the dunk tank (as I did) don't expect the contents of the pouches to remain dry. In fact, the pouches will fill with water completely.

2) The drawcord at the top of the bag had a cheap piece of plastic on the end which broke off on the bag's first use. A stopper knot works just as well. Also, the Drawcord Barrel Lock's spring is not strong enough. when one picks up the bag the barrel lock slides out of place and the bag opens. I'm poking around the net for a replacement barrel locks now.

Not a bad product. I think of these bags as the tote equivalent to those disposable plastic food containers. You don't mind if you lose one. And, you don't expect the same quality or life as you do for higher priced storage. If you have the right expectation, these bags will do fine.

I purchased another set of these for my older son's birthday party and am buying more for my younger son's. I used them as goody bags rather than the paper ones because they are re-useable. I bought a stencil and used a permanent marker to draw figures on them. I got nice feedback from the kids and parents and at this price, they are a deal. It is WAY to big for a 15 inch macbook. If you want a nice snug, protective fit, buy something else. It is also rather thin.

I bought this specifically because it meets the maximum size specifications for overhead bin storage on most airlines. It satisfies in that respect.

However, I have consistently experienced a problem with the bag tending to fall forward; it is prone to tipping over away from the handle side. Very annoying, especially when traveling. This happens even though I have nothing stored in the outer pockets, although that should really make no difference.

Overall quality is satisfactory; I expected the inside to perhaps have some pockets and maybe some padding, but such is not the case.

Given another opportunity to purchase, I would go in a different direction because I get tired of the bag falling over all the time. But, it does get the job done.

I love the color, I wasn't sure about it on the web site but when I saw it in person, I really like it. The wheels feel good and the main compartment is great. I am curious to see if the 22" will go as a carry-on on the first leg of a trip overseas on a smaller jet. Purchased this to use with my new Dell XPS laptop. The laptop doesn't have VGA output, so I purchased an adaptor cord to connect the Micro Display Port on the laptop to the VGA input on the projector (Apple brand, but Best Buy also carries another, slightly cheaper brand). No problems with displaying a Power Point show including both slides and video made on Windows Movie Maker. I haven't had the chance to fiddle with all of the fine tuning on the projector, but it works well right out of the box. Make sure that you get the cord adaptor when you buy the projector. I'm pleased with the weight, lighter than I'd expected; it's lighter than the laptop.

High Sierra Brewster Backpack

I honestly only ever carried Jansports throughout school and forever. When the brewster day pack showed up on Groupon, I went ahead and purchased on in Jade. I have been carrying my 17" laptop and files to work which has been great. I much prefer it to using a messenger bag type laptop bags, the weight distribution across the back is great and the backpack is very light and shoulder padding super comfortable.

I decided to use it one night as a diaper bag. It fit his diapers, outfits, wipes and insulated cooler for his 3 bottles perfectly and with room to spare. The baby's cooler tends to get too cold so I "thaw" a bottle in the insulated portion of the backpack. I think I will be using this more often as a diaper bag.

Pacsafe Luggage Venture Safe 150 GII

I currently own a PacSafe wallet and have been looking at this cross body bag for a while. I decided to get it once they came out with the all-black bag.

Having used it a few days now, I realize this will probably be best for just traveling and not everyday use. It seems to be the perfect size for me from the outward appearance. But there is a lot of bulk which creates very little room inside.

I find the biggest issue to be with the zippers opening from the bottom, upward. Every time I try to pull something out, everything else inside tends to fall out. The safety clips could have been put on the top of the bag so the zippers could be zipped from the top down.

I would feel very confident using this when traveling, going to concerts, taking day trips, etc. But it is too bulky for me to use daily. I haven't used it on a hot day. I suspect that the bulkiness of the strap will be uncomfortable.

So I will continue my search for a low profile, x-small, cross body bag that can be worn over the left or right shoulder, in all black!

Edit: After using this bag for 3 weeks, I can now say that I really don't like it. The strap never softened up. The bag is clunky and cumbersome, and I hate the zipper direction. I'm sorry I wasted so much money on this bag. I've gone back to using my old Eddie Bauer sling backpack.

Overall this is a nice pack, however, I am a larger person, and it could be a bit wider.

This is designed for small items, and not anything very big.

I hold my nexus7, note2 and a few smaller items in it, and thats about all it will hold.

This is my 5th or 6th Pacsafe product. I travel and the extra sense of security from pickpockets and thefts is nice to have. Looks well made and the size is as I expected. The entire item doesn't have the RFID shield as I expected but has an internal pocket that will still provide what I was looking for. At the same time, I purchased the Pacsafe Executive 50 wallet that also provides RFID shielding. Together, I believe I'll be fine. I especially like the double release belt clip. Normal clips are just a squeeze release, while this one has an extra release requirement that should prevent casual efforts by those unfamiliar with the product. I opted for the black color as I believe the other's stand out in a crowd too much. I prefer not to draw attention to myself if possible. Of course, if you do have this bag stolen, the bright colors available would allow someone to spot it walking away easier.

"The Purple Executive" Briefcase

This bag is really soft leather. I would have liked it with a bit more padding for a laptop so its not so crushable, but I love it. Used it on travel as a carry on for things I needed to present my meetings and it was great. Also stands out so not to get swiped so easily from all the same colored bags in meetings as well.
