NEEWER 14'' Laptop Notebook Soft Sleeve Bag Case for Laptop DELL HP Lenovo

NEEWER 14'' Laptop Notebook Soft Sleeve Bag Case for Laptop DELL HP LenovoThis thing is cheap and simple. It had a neoprene smell when I first got it but all neoprene stuff does. I kept it in the wash room for a day or two and I have had no problems with it. After all I don't hold it up next to my face, I just use it to hold my laptop which it does perfectly.

I have a Samsung Q430 and it fits it like it was made for it.

I was looking for a simple neoprene case for my 15" MacBook Pro with retina display. Since it is so thin, this 14" sleeve fits perfectly. Like others have said, the smell is a bit strong at first but a bit of Febreze and an afternoon outside on the porch took care of the worst of it. The case is reversible if bright red is your thing!

Simple, effective and cheap!

It cheaply does what it is supposed to. It smells pretty bad at first, but it is functional, and gives basic protection.

Fits my 14" asus perfectly. Good for protecting it from other things in my backpack as well as some cushioning. its water resistant which is good. I would recommend if you just need something to keep this safe from the elements, its not a protective case though so keep that in mind.

It's a tad too large overall for my HP 14" DM4, and the top flap doesn't secure, but it was only $6 shipped so it's still a good value.

Personalized Dancer Gift Backpack

Personalized Dancer Gift BackpackBag came quicker than expected, the name was spelled correctly, and the bag looks good. The bag is a burlap style material and is very stiff and rigid. The first time I pulled the straps to close it, the seams tore on both sides. The seller immediately shipped me a new bag to replace the defective one without me even having to ask. They went above and beyond to take care of me. Awesome service!

  • Backpack measures approximately 16 inches tall by 10 inches wide
  • Mesh pockets on each side
  • Great for Back-to-School!

Overall, its a nice backpack. Its not plastic & cheap material, its durable. Only complaint my 12 yr old (girl) had was there could be more zipper compartments inside the smaller zipper portion of the backpack. Other than that, the size is perfect & she loves it! Great buy.

Voltaic Systems 1022 Array Solar Laptop Charger Backpack - Charcoal

Voltaic Systems 1022 Array Solar Laptop Charger Backpack - CharcoalI purchased this backpack after a full week of research while crews restored power from Hurricane Sandy. My only regret is that I didn't purchased it sooner. I call it my "mobile powerstation", because I often use it for unpowered train commute situations, as a backup power source. I can't even begin to describe the extraordinarily thoughtful design of this product, but I'll try:

1) Sturdy, enviro-friendly backpack has plenty of storage space for commuting or weekend trips. Lots of panels and compartments including a padded laptop section so you can easily view and access your 'stuff'. The Solar panel section can zip-on and zip-off. It neatly houses the battery, connector tips, and an AC power cord (for optionally recharging the battery from a wall socket). Still it is all very lightweight especially compared to my rolling backpack the other 'must-have' I recommend for road warrior equipment. The front badge (red plastic icon) is powered by the panel so you can get a visible red light when the solar panel is exposed to sun.

2) Super Battery! This has got to be one of the most powerful batteries available in such a compact form factor. I have used this battery on my 2+ hr commute to power my 'phablet' and modem. I have yet to manage to drain it on a trip. I haven't needed it yet for my Macbook Air, since the battery lasts several hours, but I have no doubt it will serve either buy a magsafe adapter from voltaic, or use a magsafe-auto/truck power converter available here on amazon. I chose the DC cigarette lighter converter, so I'll have more options for power sources.

3) Super Solar Panel! Well constructed and sturdy outer panel can either charge the included battery, or charge up to 2 devices at once. You can power or charge a typical 5v smartphone device, plus a more power-hungry 12 or 18v device while the sun's up.

I can't say enough good things about this backpack, because it perfectly fits my particular need and addresses my power-insecurities in a "green" way. I plan to purchase another for a friend who lives in the tropics where getting consistent power is often a problem.

Don't let another storm or "wall-socket-less" outing find you without a setup like this. I write this as another 3-day blizzard approaches, confident this power-setup can get me through the expected "72-hour black-out".

PLEASE NOTE: Both the panel and the battery supply DC output. So if you plan to charge a laptop, make sure it accepts DC power (apparently some laptops like Dell will run off it, but not charge off it). If you have questions you should contact the folks at voltaic dot com before your purchase. There's an instruction sheet included, so it takes about 10 minutes to educate yourself on the full setup super straightforward. Just check the requirements of the devices you want to charge.

I liken this purchase to purchasing your first brand new vehicle.. you've done your study on the car and when you purchase for the first time you are nervous, anxious, and excited.. the same feeling applys to the purchase of this bag. . it exceeded what I anticipated.. theres nothing like walking around with electricity on your back to power your electronics. . 5 star rate! excellent!

Tumi Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack

Tumi Luggage Alpha Bravo Kingville Deluxe Brief Pack, Spruce, One SizeFirst off, yes, it's an expensive backpack, but it's a Tumi. Since it's a Tumi, I expect years and years of service from it. The bag is made from their signature ballistic nylon so it should last decades like my luggage. The fit and finish are superb on this bag. All the zippers were protected for shipping so the bag was flawless on arrival. It is a very nice looking bag, the photos don't do it justice. There is a protected slot for a laptop, one for an iPad, one for what could be a netbook or file folders, a generous main cargo area and numerous side and front pockets, one of which includes a key hanger. I found the iPad slot didn't work for my iPad with its Jobi Ori cover, but the netbook sized slot worked fine. 15" laptop also fit fine. This bag will carry clothes for an overnighter in the main cargo area. There is a water bottle holder. The bag fit great in an airplane's overhead bin and under the seat.

All in all, it's a Tumi so it is functional, good looking, and will last nearly forever under hard use.

Update 3/16/2013:

Still looks great, and I am still glad I purchased it. In fact I just bought another as a gift.

I use this bag to carry my important stuff when I travel, and it is close to perfect.

The laptop sleeve inside is sized to best fit a laptop the size of a MacBook Pro or similar laptop. These days when I travel I carry an UltraBook sized laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 13), and there's plenty of room for that. You could probably squeeze in a thick laptop, but I think it may stress the lining a bit. There is another pouch opposite the laptop sleeve for carrying a tablet or second laptop. I stick my iPad in there.

One surprise I had is that there is no extra padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve, so you can't slam the bag down hard on ground. It's less of a problem if you laptop uses a SSD hard drive, but for regular "spinning" hard drives, you need to be careful. Tumi should add some gel padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve in future generations of this bag.

The materials are excellent (as I would expect) and it has survived many trips so far without a hitch. One of my favorite aspects of this bag is that it doesn't balloon outward as you pile in a lot of stuff. Other packs I've owned grow horizontally, sticking out further and further from your back, which is a problem when traveling. This one keeps its shape well. The two wide vertical stripes you see on the front of the bag are made from the same material as a seat belt (it seems to me), so maybe they help to keep the bag from getting misshapen when full. It all looks and works great.

The drink holder pocket (on the right side of the photo) is deep enough to hold a 1 liter SmartWater bottle. If you put a small water bottle in there, it sinks down so low you might forget it's in there.

I recommend this Tumi pack to anyone looking for a great-looking bag that can handle a lot of daily use, while keeping its shape nicely. Well worth the extra money you pay for a Tumi.

OGIO Big Dome Street Duffel

Ogio Big Dome Duffle BagMATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION:

First rate. This bag is very high quality. The main zipper is oversize and looks like it will last. Materials and stitching about best I've seen.

FUNCTION:

Intially, concerned that there are only two pockets (end pocket on the end for shoes), and small side pocket, but this seems plenty. The shoe pocket is large enough for large pair of tennis shoes, swim trunks, and even overnight dirty laundry. Small pocket fine for keys, ipod, lock, etc..

SIZE:

This bag is slightly larger than most gym bags, but because it does not have a flat, firm bottom it packs a lot of stuff, and yet can be compressed into a locker. Large enough for workout gear, wash kit, and change of clothes.

This is a high quality multi purpose gym bag. I can easily fit all of my gym equipment (jump rope, tape, chalk, 2 pairs of shoes, straps, and more) plus 2 changes of clothes, my protein, and meals and snacks for the day all in this one bag. Its been a life saver.

Easy to compartmentalize shoes and sweaty clothes from the gear and clean stuff.

Highly recommend this bag. Great value for the price.

The bag is great, but we just wish we'd ordered one with a water bottle holder. That's our only objection to the bag and it's our fault, not yours. We just couldn't tell from the picture whether it had a water bottle holder or not. Most people needing a sports bag also need to carry water. Great bag, though. Thanks!

This bag is the great size for a visit to the gym and will hold a change of clothes and pair of shoes to fit in a locker easily. The front pocket is perfect for keys wallet and cell phone. My biggest gripe is the pocket on the end. I'ts difficult to use for shoes or flip flops as they get a little lost in it when you have other things in the bag. The zipper on this end pocket comes off its track frequently but the other zippers work fine.

I purchased this bag primarily as an every day bag to take to the gym. I take a pair of running shoes and cycling shoes. My old gym bag was getting too small. It fits everything I need but it is not so big that it looks like I am packing for a week.

Basic Drawstring Tote Cinch Sack Promotional Backpack Bag

Basic Drawstring Tote Cinch Sack Promotional Backpack Bag - White CA2500I was very happy with bags. Very cute, strong. Kids loved them. I used them as gift bags for my dons birthday party. I bought the blue and pink for 13 years old. Some of the guys even wanted a pink bag. Very nice, quickly received in mail.

Not a bad product. I think of these bags as the tote equivalent to those disposable plastic food containers. You don't mind if you lose one. And, you don't expect the same quality or life as you do for higher priced storage. If you have the right expectation, these bags will do fine.

The price was right, since I needed several. If you only purchase one bag, the added shipping might be enough to cause one to look elsewhere.

I purchased another set of these for my older son's birthday party and am buying more for my younger son's. I used them as goody bags rather than the paper ones because they are re-useable. I bought a stencil and used a permanent marker to draw figures on them. I got nice feedback from the kids and parents and at this price, they are a deal. The estimated ship date has always been a week away but they've always arrived in just a couple days. Love the bags, love the seller.

Wizards of Waverly Place Backpack Plum Tan Peacock Feather

Wizards of Waverly Place Backpack Plum Tan Peacock Featherhad to wait for this item due to a roommate confused about my travel plans but when I asked about it we got it resolved. This is perfect for my 5'7 frame and best for me to use as my "personal item" when I go flying. Considered this item while I was PR with a daughter but lost the pregnancy... I can carry this easy and the materials are fine like the previous ones only difference is one compartment on the outside instead of two. I am really appreciative for getting this item in good shape after the way I had to look for it if I use it for any children in the future I'm sure it will do fine. It can carry my laptop or tablets easily along with writing supplies, home improvement materials, formula, books papers and anything else I choose to put in it like medical supplies pens paper toys and games all that. If I store it in a closet it may get musty so usually hang up or keep on a bureau. Just a tip. Big thanks to the seller for working hard to get this to me fast I sure needed it.

Piel Top FLap Drawstring Backpack

Piel Leather Top Flap Drawstring Backpack - blackI have been using backpack purses for almost ten years, and this one is probably the best one I have had. My biggest problem with most backpack-purses is that they come two ways: too small, and too big. As a mom, I need more space in my purse than just a cute spot for a wallet, checkbook, cellphone, and keys. The larger versions of a purse-backpack so huge it could fit your laptop and two days worth of clothes. This bag is in the middle, and that's why this bag is so nice. It carries all the things the small pack does, and also my PDA, second checkbook, inhaler, pencils, receipts, small notebook, my son's wallet and Nintendo DS, and a number of other smallish things that always seem work their way into my purse.

The front zippered compartment is great for receipts, club cards and prescriptions (both filled and script). It is easily accessable from the outside by just lifting the flap on top of the bag. But what I really like is the side back zippered compartment. It is a great place for keys. I can even just reach back and grab my keys without having to take the whole pack off.

The inside compartments are well done, with a nice back zippered pouch for small things, and places for several pens, a cell phone, and a PDA (although if you have a small phone it may be a bit big). The leather was a nice quality substantial without being heavy, and interior material seems heavy enough that it won't be tearing easily.

I will be using this bag for a long time to come.

The red is actually a bit orange-red, I prefer a deeper red. I would have liked more inside pockets and some elastic straps to hold small bottles. The outside pockets are perfect and well hidden, and easy to organize travel documents. I found the overall size too small for a carry-on for jewelry, medication, camera, iPad, phone & accompanying cords and accessories, a shawl, etc. And it seems slightly too large for shopping in foreign ports, perhaps this is due to the stiffness of the leather. Delivery was exactly as promised.

Adi Designs Genuine Leather Backpack

Adi Designs Genuine Leather BackpackThis bag was to replace another which finally fell apart after much use. This one is even better. There is a place for everything and plenty of space in the middle. It is soft and comfortable. I would recommend this bag to anyone who wants a super purse/backpack.

I purchased this backpack when I was looking for a backpack style purse in order to be able to carry my Kindle DX with me when I go running errands and expect there to be "wait times" involved. The dimensions as given SHOULD have cleared the top of the Kindle DX by just over 1/2 inch, not a lot I grant you, but it was still suppose to be large enough to fit. As it turns out it was just about that much too short to fit and be able to close all of the way, but I still like it as a small bag when I need to carry a little more than usual (like going to movies, etc.), the leather is VERY soft and supple and it is a well-enough made bag. Would I say it is on the same level of craftsmanship as my $700 Coach purse? No, but I paid SIGNIFICANTLY less for it and got much more than my purchase price in the value I received for the purse. All-in-all, a nice, small-sized backpack style purse.

Buy Adi Designs Genuine Leather Backpack Now

I GUESS THE SELLER THOUGHT I WAS A FOOL OR THOUGHT I WOULD ONLY USE THE BAG IN THE DARK WHERE I WOULDN'T NOTICE ALL THE STITCHING MISTAKES ALL OVER THE POCKET AREAS. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS 20$ DOESNT GIVE THE SELLER THE RIGHT TO SEND A BADLY DEFECTIVE ITEM, WASTE MY TIME TO HAVE TO RETURN IT. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 0 STARS BUT IT WASNT AN OPTION.

I bought this as a gift for my mom because she needed a new purse & she likes the backpack kind. After only a month or two, the zippers came apart along the seams. The fabric the zippers are mounted on is so thin it couldn't stand up to normal everyday wear-&-tear. It also doesn't seem like it's real leather as the description claims. I was so disappointed. Her previous purse lasted about 8 years before the zippers failed & the liner ripped. Definitely don't buy this as a daily purse.

Sanrio Hello Kitty Large Backpack - Pink with Pink Glitter

Sanrio Hello Kitty Large Backpack - Pink with Pink GlitterI purchased this as a replacement go-around bag for my girl friend who loves Hello Kitty and is quite happy with the size and accessibility of all the pouches. The bag is quite large and holds all her random items she may need for the day. I'm not sure about the longevity of this if it were to be used as a school bag for kids. From what I remember from my grade school/high school years, I had my bag loaded every day all day and I was lucky to have it last the year. But for the cheap price of it I wouldn't expect to last any longer than that if used heavily.

Case Logic TNC-218 18-Inch Laptop Briefcase-Black

Case Logic TNC-218 18-Inch Laptop Briefcase-BlackThis is an excellent case for my HP notebook, which is slightly over 17 inches. My 'puter was securely snug, with plenty of padding, as well as overlapping velcro-fastened swaddling. There are plenty of spaces for folders, notes, CD's, power cords and all the trappings that our busy, modern-day life requires. The shoulder strap distributes the weight evenly, so even though my computer is heavy it's very easy to transport.

I'm very satisfied with this case, and I heartily recommend it.

I recently purchased this item because of my HP HDX 18t Laptop, and although its a good product, I had to replace it with a backpack (also from caselogic). There's nothing really wrong with this case--its sturdy and is built well; my laptop fits well inside, it with a little more room to spare for accessories and stuff. But the HDX 18(as well as its accessories) is a heavy mother and it hurts my neck and shoulder if I carry it for more than ten minutes. But the backpack spreads the weight much more efficiently. So unless you have a lightweight 17" or 18" laptop with little accessories to carry around I'd say go for. It has clean lines and looks nice and "appropriate" if your wearing a business suit, but . . . you get the picture.

Buy Case Logic TNC-218 18-Inch Laptop Briefcase-Black Now

I purchased this case from another vendor in mid-September. The construction on mine is poor. I use it only to carry from the house to my garaged car and then into work, perhaps twice a week. After merely 2 months, the material is already pulling away from the seam on the laptop side. There is not much room for anything other than the laptop, it's power unit and cords, and a notebook mouse. The pictures on Amazon are deceiving because the laptop side does NOT open all the way; there is an expander that only allows it open about eight inches or so. So inserting or removing the laptop is a pain in the rear. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Read Best Reviews of Case Logic TNC-218 18-Inch Laptop Briefcase-Black Here

This laptop case is very basic, but simple is usually better IMO. It fits my HP HDX18t Premium Series Notebook (18") just fine.

There were only 2 downsides. First, the side pocket doesn't really have too much room for more than a few CDs, thumb drives or thin external drive. They would have done better to put an actual pocket that could hold the power cord (with converter), travel mouse and any misc compact cords. (I guess they wanted to keep the bulk down.) The other problem is that the compartment for the computer itself doesn't open all the way. It is more like a "V" shape. I think they did this so there was less issue with the flap opening up and dumping your laptop (like a briefcase style), but it makes it a little awkward to get it in and out. Seriously, a 18" laptop takes a lot more finger strength to take out when you can't open flap all the way than a 15".

On the upside, I didn't want to pay a lot and this was the cheaper of all the cases I found that was self-contained (padded rather than just a neoprene sleeve). I also won't be traveling too much with it, but when I do need to move it, it will be well protected. It also comes with a side strap that helps due to the weight and size of the laptop. It also has a cross panel on the back of the bag so you slide it down on a handle of a rolling suitcase and it will stay in place. That feature alone is pretty slick if you ever need it.

Want Case Logic TNC-218 18-Inch Laptop Briefcase-Black Discount?

APPEARANCE

This case is fairly plain and boring. The nylon gives it a shiny look that isn't as professional looking as leather or fabric in my opinion.

FEATURES

It has some nice features that make the case useful. First is a large double padded flap to hold the laptop inside whether it is 14 inch or 18.4 inch screen size. It looks like it can hold smaller laptops well, also. It has a pocket on the front at the top, near the handle, which is nice for quick access items. It has the typical pockets and pen holders inside the front zippered flap (the pockets feel like they are made of felt inside). There is a large back pocket covering most of the back of the case. That back pocket has a zipper section at the bottom that allows you to run the handle of a cart or suitcase through it, which I find to be a nice feature. There is also one thin pocket on the inside where the laptop is stored.

COMFORT

The shoulder strap is very easy to adjust and it has lots of slack to make it hang down or keep it short. The cushion on the strap is not large and not well padded, so it's not the best I've seen. Since this case is for large laptops, I would have liked to see a better-padded strap.

SECURITY

I do like that you open the case up to insert the laptop, but I'm not very excited about the big flaps being on the outside "door" of the case, instead of being attached to the inner-section of the case. This means that when you place the case on its front and open the back door, the laptop is on the door and it is hard to remove. Alternatively, you can put the case on its back, open the whole case while leaving the back door on the surface and you could open up the flaps to remove the laptop. However, the case cannot be opened more than 45 degrees, so you must hold up the case while undoing the flaps. Both of those scenarios feel awkward, so it seems as though they designed the flaps to always stay velcroed, so that the case is like a custom-sized slide-in case.

The laptop is stored on the outside wall of the case with just one layer of padding, which doesn't give as much protection as it could if the big, padded flaps were attached to the inside of the case.

UTILITY

I don't have a massive laptop to try with it, but it is a fairly thin bag, which doesn't allow for a good fit of my AC adapter, let alone any other accessories.

Overall, I consider this to be a basic case that's not very exciting, but it can do the job, as long as the back of the case doesn't get beat on and your accessories are compact.

Kroo Amazon Exclusive Black SPORT-X Check Point Backpack for up to 13.3-Inch NoteBooks

Kroo Amazon Exclusive Black SPORT-X Check Point Backpack for up to 13.3-Inch NoteBooksIt works great and seems to be constructed very well. For what I paid for it , I can't complain. I just wish I could hold more in it. It is so full of padding that I have to cram things into it. I definitely don't have to worry about my laptop and Ipad getting damaged with all the padding ti provides. It just seems like overkill.

There is very little interior space in this backpack. From front to back, it's narrow. And the fabric is stiff, so it doesn't flex to allow more stuff to be fit inside. I was barely able to fit my quart-size baggie of liquids (as per security guidelines), a medium-size notebook pad, a Kindle, and a small purse (clutch-sized) inside. And I still had to take everything out to access what was out the bottom, because there's not enough room in the backpack for my arms with only those few items.

Also, as you can see in the photo, there are no front pockets. There are also no side pockets--no drink carrier nets. You have to unzip the thing from the top to access your wallet, keys, phone, and other small items. Very inconvenient.

That being said, the unzip-all-the-way-down-the-middle feature definitely simplifies security screening at the airport. So three stars for that.

I had a similar bag from Targus that was roomier. With the Targus bag, I was able to put my liquid baggie between the large sections of the bag. As a result, unzipping simultaneously made my laptop ready for screening and and enabled me to extract my baggie. Sadly, this bag is too small for that. A completely full quart-size baggie of liquids is a super tight squeeze in the center of the backpack.

The Travelon passport case really does keep your RFID passport safe. It has plenty of room for credit cards, train tickets and admission tickets. The current (2009) Japan Rail Pass also slides easily into the pocket alongside your passport. The ballistic nylon material with (faux?) leather accent is low key, and won't draw the attention that a home made aluminum foil envelope or Prada wallet would. Perfect for any traveler with an RFID passport who doesn't want their identity stolen.

Details -

RFID passports have a serious defect they can be read and possibly altered remotely. While this is difficult and expensive to do with today's technology, it can easily be done by people with sufficient motivation. In five year's time it will only be easier.

The correct way to defend against radio manipulation of your passport is with a Faraday Cage. An ideal Faraday cage completely encloses the object you want to protect, leaving no gaps.

I was concerned that this wallet would only pancake the RF read zone of my passport. When I arrived at NRT in Tokyo, the passport control officer was completely unable to read my passport without taking it completely out of my Travelon case. Future RFID sensors may still be able to snoop a passport in this case, but I'll be comfortable keeping my passport safely stored in its travelon case for the next few years.

Look up Bruce Schneier's blog for a deeper technical analysis on the pros and cons of the new RFID passports.

The Travelon RFID BLocking Passport Case is a well-made, attractive case and, unfortunately, in today's world where unscrupulous individuals have devices to read RFID documents and steal personal information, a real necessity. This case is constructed of ballistic nylon and leather; all edges are encased by leather trim piping. This should provide protection from wear and tear on the corners which normally wear faster than other areas of similarly shaped items. Further, the corners are mitered which reduced bulk at those points. Additionally, this is a sign of quality construction since mitering takes more time and effort if the manufacturer wants to produce clean corners. The case's stitching is even and smooth; I noticed no loose threads or thread ends projecting to prick one when reaching for this case.

I liked the way one could slip the front and back covers of a passport into pockets on each side of the case. This holds the passport securely without having any pages contained so the passport must be removed for inspection. A ribbon marker in the center of the case can be used to "bookmark" the page containing the traveler's picture so that one does not have to page through the passport in order to locate the picture.

If one does not put credit cards into the case, along with a passport, the case is about 3/8" thick when closed; the actual passport is about 1/8" thick, so the case adds about 1/4" of bulk. In researching RFID blocking passport cases, the Travelon seemed to be the least bulky of those offered by trusted manufacturers and sellers. Personally, I do not like the idea of having my credit cards, driver's license, etc. in the same case as my passport and will probably purchase a second case in a different color to hold these items should the necessity arise.

I ordered my Travelon RFID Blocking Passport Case on a Tuesday night, selecting super-saver shipping, and received the case on Friday. Amazon's superior service is always something I can count on.

My passport could be read with the case closed it it was touching the reader. I also tried it on my RFID card at work I had to hold it closer than usual but it still read it from about 4 inches away. There didn't seem to be any damage to the wallet so I'm not sure why it didn't block the RFID scanner.

Outside of that the wallet is fine holds your passport and some credit cards. I'm returning mine since I really wanted the RFID blocking feature.

this is a good passport cover. the passport fits in it well and it looks nice. I have one problem with it I was going through security at the airport and it set off the medal detector had to put it through the x ray machine so be warned take your passport out of the cover or just send the whole thing through the x ray machine to save yourself some trouble. I imagine that since it has enough aluminum to set off a metal detector then it will do its job of preventing the RFID information to be read

Tumi Luggage T-Tech Network Soft Carry-On

Tumi Luggage T-Tech Network Soft Carry-On, Black, One SizeThis is an awesome piece of luggage. It's big enough for weekend trips, short business trips, and as a second carry-on bag (it snugly attaches to rolling bag handles, keeping it from slipping/spinning when you have to the race to the gate) for squeezing under the airline seat in front of you while you place the larger rolling bag is stored above. It has many useful zippered and open sections and pockets for quick gear access, folio, paperwork, 15" slim notebook (my MacBook Pro fits) etc.

Packing cubes and and a Pack-it folder for business dress clothes will help maximize the interior space in main compartment while also making packing and unpacking a breeze. Shoes will take up a lot of the internal space if bringing a second pair. I also recommend using as small of a toiletry bag as you can get by with if you are using this as your primary or only piece of luggage.

Case Logic DLBP-114 14-Inch Laptop /MacBook Air / Pro Retina Display Backpack (Black)

Case Logic DLBP-114 14-Inch Laptop /MacBook Air / Pro Retina Display BackpackThis is the size I've been looking for. I was in search of a bag that would fit a 13" MacBook Pro, as well as a 13" Dell Latitude. I'm not a big person and I hate big heavy bags. My previous bag was HUGE and was designed for a 15" laptop of yesteryear. The laptop slot barely held my widescreen 13" and yet the bag was enormous. I bought the old bag from LL Bean in 1998, and it held up wonderfully--but it was made for a time when a 15" laptop was bulky and we carried lots of books and folders with us.

Best uses:

Professional with a 13"-14" laptop (or 15" Macbook) looking for a minimal but still useful backpack

Pros:

Small profile yet IMPRESSIVE capacity for what it is.

Lightweight

Holds TWO laptops and both power supplies (one in the padded compartment and one using a thin sleeve in the spot designed for a binder/book)

Laptop section appears to accommodate nearly all 14" laptops easily and possibly a 15" MacBook (probably not most other 15" laptops tho)

Cons:

Wish the binder/book section had more padding since I use it for an extra laptop. This would be nice for your iPad/tablet/Kindle -type devices as well

No water bottle net on the side (I've never had one but thought it was a nice feature on other backpacks I've seen)

Probably too small if you need your backpack to carry around a lot of personals, or carry your lunch, or an extra pair of shoes--it's definitely not a daypack.

Durability:

I will try to update this review if I find anything undesirable about the durability. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 since I cannot yet comment on durability.

That's right, Case Logic now makes laptop backpacks. They make the CD cases you're using in your car, your portable hard drive case and your thumb drive case. And now, you can throw all of those items, including your laptop (not made by Case Logic) into a new Case Logic 14-inch laptop backpack.

PROS:

Slim design

Comfortable shoulder straps

Well padded laptop compartment

Velcro strap wrap

Soft, felt-like pocket for smartphones or other valuables

Spacious and well-padded front pocket organizer

Useful side pockets

Attractive appearance

Good build quality

CONS:

Side pockets too small for water bottles

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

The Case Logic 14-inch Laptop Backpack (DLBP-114) is very attractive and is slim in design. Parts of the polyester material are matte, glossy, and quilted with accent colors on the straps and zipper. The appearance is what drew me to this backpack in the first place. All the zippers glide very smoothly and the main compartment zipper has an over-sized zipper and pull for easy opening and closing. The shoulder straps have an air mesh padding for increased comfort. Case Logic also added a neat "strap management system" in the form of a Velcro tie that keeps the excess strap tied up for a neat appearance. At the top of the backpack is a grab handle for easy handling. Aside from black, you also get red and deep grey color choices.

STORAGE & PROTECTION

The main pocket includes the integrated laptop compartment. It's padded well and has about the same amount of padding on the bottom and the back for uniform protection. It fit both my 12.1-inch Google Chrome Cr-48 and 14.1-inch Dell Inspiron laptops without a hitch. The remaining space inside the main pocket is actually rather sparse, which is part of the design. Thinking back to my college days, there would have been no way I could have fit my Biology textbook and my Calculus textbook at the same time. If you're looking for a heavy-duty, carry-all backpack, the DLBP-114 isn't it.

The large front pocket has 2 medium-sized internal pockets for a phone or mobile mouse as well as 2 pen pockets. There is also a thin, but large zippered pocket for memory cards, cables, batteries, etc. The great thing about the front pocket is that it is padded as well so you can feel safe putting your MP3 player, compact camera or phone inside this pocket.

There is also a pocket on each side of the DLBP-114. It's very useful for putting any number of items inside, but unlike the description, I found now way of putting a water bottle there. First, it doesn't unzip all the way up so a water bottle will partially hang out of the pocket. Second, the pocket is just too small. I wasn't even able to jam a standard 1/2 liter Costco bottled water inside, let alone any of my larger stainless steel water bottles.

The last pocket is on the top of the bag, located in between the large front pocket and the main pocket. It's a unique pocket not only because the zipper teeth are accented, but because it is lined with a felt-like material for protecting valuables like a watch, phone, jewelry, or glasses. It reminds me a little bit of my golf bag that has a valuables pocket so you can take off your jewelry and keep it from getting hacked up. I'd probably refrain from putting my glasses in there though since it's not padded in any way. Though the pocket entry is on the outside, the actual pocket resides inside the main compartment and I could see my glasses getting smashed inside unless I wasn't carrying anything too bulky inside the main compartment.

CONCLUSION

The Case Logic 14-inch Laptop Backpack (DLBP-114) is a very well-made laptop backpack. It won't be suitable for everyone because of the slim design and doesn't have a cavernous main compartment. Make no mistake, it is not a daypack. I see this being a good fit for the urban commuter who carries a laptop and perhaps a Kindle or iPad with accessories, some snacks and not much else. For that demographic, I think that the DLBP-114 is a great value. My hope is that Case Logic will also release a daypack version with similar design cues as the DLBP-114 as I tend to fit in the category of people who like to be able to carry as much stuff as possible.

This is a good choice for a small backpack. If you need to carry much more than the laptop, charger and some small accessories you may find this doesn't have the space to meet you needs. Quality is what I expect for Case Logic, very good for the price. No issues with zippers or seams, even after heavy use. Another nice feature is the textured mesh on the underside of the shoulder strap that helps keep it from slipping off your shoulder.

The one and only downside is the lack of padding on the bottom of the pack. Leaving an unprotected edge for the laptop, which I discovered when the pack slipped out of my hand and landed with a thump, resulting in a dent on the corner of my laptop.

I was looking for a backpack to replace a 15-year old Target/Walmart-type backpack from high school. I wanted something that I could take to/from work, was flexible enough in offering a few different types of compartments, and wasn't overly big/bulky/saggy.

This is exactly what I wanted.

We'll start with the straps. They aren't filled with gel like some packs are, so they aren't the cushiest, but they do at least have a decent amount of stuffing in them, plus they are fairly wide, and get larger as they go up towards your shoulder, so the bag doesn't feel like it's cutting into your shoulders at all. The roll-up velcro piece that holds excess strap after you're done adjusting it to your preference is quite novel, but not something you interact with every time you wear the pack, so it's not a huge deal.

The top and the lower front of the pack each have a reasonably-sized grab handle. Good for carrying into your car, or hanging on a coat hook at home.

On both the left and right lower sides are two small compartments which I've found perfect for each accomodating two electronics cables one side holds the AC power cord for my laptop and a microUSB cable for charging my phone; the other holds a 10' ethernet cable and a USB charge cable for my Zune HD. You could maybe fit a can of soda in there, or some feminine products (makeup, etc), or your car keys... but I found it great for stashing cables without overstuffing the inner compartments.

The main zippered compartment -the zipper is one of the large-teethed kind, the sort that makes a lot of noise when you operate it... but because of this, it sort of lends a feel of quality and heft to it -quite nice. Inside, against the back is a padded insert (non-removable) which accomodates your laptop. I have a Samsung Series 7 Chronos with a 15.6" screen, which is basically analogous to a Macbook Pro 15" in dimensions, due to the minimal amount of bezel around the screen. Do not expect to fit a normal 15" laptop in here without a bit of squeeze this is why they point out it can take up to a 14-inch regular laptop. There's extra space in this compartment which can hold a textbook, a tablet PC, or heck probably even another laptop. I keep a small notebook here for taking notes, etc.

Lower down the front of the pack is another zippered section which doesn't look like it hosts much space, but open it up and here's your organizational compartments --you have two wide enclosures and a few pencil holders. The enclosures are wide enough for me to fit a compact external hard drive (the 2.5" variety), and a portable mouse. At the top of the organizational insert is a zipper which contains another small pouch for your odds and ends --chewing gum, maybe another couple cables? But you can reach past all this, another 8" or so down into the bag for a deeper well of general storage space. I keep my laptop power brick down here. Adding additional items down here, instead of stuffing the organization pockets with larger bulkier items, keeps from losing the backpack's slim profile... so I'd recommend you disperse your items as such.

Up top, the red-teethed zipper leads you into a small, microfiber-type lined pouch. They say put your sunglasses in here, well I'd worry about breakage, but it is handy to keep your wallet and keys in here, since they are readily accessible without digging into the backpack proper.

The dark gray color was $10 cheaper than the black, which I would have preferred if I could have my pick... but it turns out to be an alright color. It's definitely a lighter gray than it appears in the pictures, but it's not so light that it approaches silver-gray. It's fairly unassuming... but the red-colored details are eye-catching, whether you like it or not.

It's definitely smaller than the normal-sized backpacks I used to carry throughout school, but that's just what I was looking for. Someone else commented it looks like a child's backpack...and I guess you could say that, but it also looks very concise and tidy I'm an IT contractor and have to dress up every day, and it doesn't look terribly out-of-place as part of my get-up.

I most enjoy how slim it is --it doesn't extend out far beyond your back, instead holding everything very close to you. This makes a WORLD of difference in terms of comfort. I feel no strain on my back at all, as you would with a normal pack.

Overall, highly recommend goes great with gadgets, the price is right, it's neat and tidy, and it's up to you how you'd like to use the space unlike some backpacks that pretty much make those decisions for you.

Want Case Logic DLBP-114 14-Inch Laptop /MacBook Air / Pro Retina Display Backpack (Black) Discount?

The Case Logic DLBP-114 laptop bag is designed for transporting a 14" laptop and accessories (not much more).

Pros:

It is well constructed and it has not shown any signs of wear during 6 months of ownership

The PC compartment is sized well for a 14" laptop and is adequately padded.

The small top compartment is useful for items that you want to get to quickley (earphones, phone, etc.)

The front zipped area has a section that fits/holds a passport, pens, glasses.

The main compartment is big enough to hold a few notebooks or a notebook and a text book

Cons:

The front zippered section is not as easy to access as it should be as the zipper only exposes 60% of the area.

There should be a better place to store keys in this comparment with the use of a caribiner or latch.

The side pockets are not that useful. One should be converted to a water bottle carrier.
