THis is a great fit for my 13 inch macbook. It would also fit a 15 inch one, as there is room, its not a snug fit, but I like it that way. I was worried that the decor was bumpy, but its flat. This stands out with everyone else's plain black ones. I can find it easily cuz of the color. Appealing, inexpensive, love it.

This laptop case fits very well with my Asus 13" wide screen laptop (Asus UL30A). The foam inside the case is not as thick as memory foam, but definitely thick enough to prevent scratches on the laptop cover. Also, the design of the cover is pretty. Overall, it is a good buy.

JANSPORT POACHER Style# TXC3 UNISEX

I bought this pack two years ago for my senior year in high school as a replacement for my previous large and heavy backpack that fell apart in one semester. The JanSport poacher is compact yet high set, so it holds a lot without sacrificing space. I hated how deep my previous backpack was and wanted something smaller, versatile and sleek. The pack lasted all year and served as a travel pack on multiple occasions and continues to hold together in college. The pack's construction is strong and light; the styling is sleek and the fit is great on the move. It takes a couple days to get used to the high back design, but after a year i have learned to prefer it. There has been no fraying on the shoulder strap adjusters after a two years of hourly adjustmentsit is hard to remove with the high back with long arms but again it proves no hassle. It holds my 15 inch laptop and charger in a side compartment adjacent to the back padding, keeping great balance with the added gear. It was the most expensive backpack I've purchased so far (price is still half the cost of any other quality backpack e.g., Swiss Gear), but the product was worth it and goes on to live another year. I have no need to replace it and won't until something tears. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that hates big or ripping backpacks.

As for storage capacity

For school it can hold 4 text books, and/or a 5 subject spiral, graphing calculator, pens, trash, a laptop and charger; for anything else it holds about 2 days of clothes (2x jeans t-shirt underwear ect.), a towel, and toiletries. OR about two severed human heads and a machete... whatever you do on the weekends.

We bought this for my son when he started middle school. This backpack is super lightweight, has pockets in all the right places and is extremely durable (believe me, my son can really bang up his stuff). Paying a little extra is worth it for a great quality backpack. The wheels are smooth and roll without any problem. Zippers are strong and don't catch.

Update: My son still has this backpack and is holding up as much as any poor backpack put into my son's possession is possible. He still loves it and uses it daily.

Our daughter needed a bigger backpack for first grade so we bought this and she is very happy with it so far. It holds everything she needs and it seems to be built strong to handle all the abuse a first grader can put it through.

This is a really nice and sturdy backpack. We previously had another CalPak rolling backpack (the Impactor), but the handle broke after about a month. So we decided to still purchase another CalPak, but different model because we like how it can fit an 18oz water bottle on the side pocket. We couldn't find many rolling backpack models that could accommodate a larger sized water bottle. This particular model (the Element) is much sturdier and the fabric looks clean/bright. The fabric on the Impactor seemed old and the colors dull. The CalPack Element is a great purchase we highly recommend.

It fits a lot. Gets heavy though & I was using it to avoid lifting but still had to lift it. It often tips to one side on curb drops. But it's got a lot of space. I only use it on small trips now & may sell it. It fit my big laptop but just barely, plus TONS of other stuff. I never used the backpack part. I like that it stays up when I stop. If you're looking for a quality product it is really well made. Zippers are great & space is shockingly ample. The front pouch is a bit too low so some of those internal features are lost without digging.

Tumi Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack

First off, yes, it's an expensive backpack, but it's a Tumi. Since it's a Tumi, I expect years and years of service from it. The bag is made from their signature ballistic nylon so it should last decades like my luggage. The fit and finish are superb on this bag. All the zippers were protected for shipping so the bag was flawless on arrival. It is a very nice looking bag, the photos don't do it justice. There is a protected slot for a laptop, one for an iPad, one for what could be a netbook or file folders, a generous main cargo area and numerous side and front pockets, one of which includes a key hanger. I found the iPad slot didn't work for my iPad with its Jobi Ori cover, but the netbook sized slot worked fine. 15" laptop also fit fine. This bag will carry clothes for an overnighter in the main cargo area. There is a water bottle holder. The bag fit great in an airplane's overhead bin and under the seat.

All in all, it's a Tumi so it is functional, good looking, and will last nearly forever under hard use.

Still looks great, and I am still glad I purchased it. In fact I just bought another as a gift.

I use this bag to carry my important stuff when I travel, and it is close to perfect.

The laptop sleeve inside is sized to best fit a laptop the size of a MacBook Pro or similar laptop. These days when I travel I carry an UltraBook sized laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 13), and there's plenty of room for that. You could probably squeeze in a thick laptop, but I think it may stress the lining a bit. There is another pouch opposite the laptop sleeve for carrying a tablet or second laptop. I stick my iPad in there.

One surprise I had is that there is no extra padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve, so you can't slam the bag down hard on ground. It's less of a problem if you laptop uses a SSD hard drive, but for regular "spinning" hard drives, you need to be careful. Tumi should add some gel padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve in future generations of this bag.

The materials are excellent (as I would expect) and it has survived many trips so far without a hitch. One of my favorite aspects of this bag is that it doesn't balloon outward as you pile in a lot of stuff. Other packs I've owned grow horizontally, sticking out further and further from your back, which is a problem when traveling. This one keeps its shape well. The two wide vertical stripes you see on the front of the bag are made from the same material as a seat belt (it seems to me), so maybe they help to keep the bag from getting misshapen when full. It all looks and works great.

The drink holder pocket (on the right side of the photo) is deep enough to hold a 1 liter SmartWater bottle. If you put a small water bottle in there, it sinks down so low you might forget it's in there.

I recommend this Tumi pack to anyone looking for a great-looking bag that can handle a lot of daily use, while keeping its shape nicely. Well worth the extra money you pay for a Tumi.

Patagonia Chacabuco Pack (Black)

Let me start by saying that I am a backpack fanatic. I spend hours a week looking at backpacks.... Osprey, Camelbak, Maxpedition, Mountain Hardware. I own more than I'd like to admit.

I've been looking for the perfect urban EDC bag for sometime, & then I came across this pack. I love this pack! It has all the right features... organization, pockets, space, durability, looks etc. The one thing I do not like about this pack are the straps. I wish Patagonia would have made them a little more thicker & more comfortable. It was almost a deal breaker for me until I figured out how to break these in.

I would do this the day you receive the pack to get the straps to be comfortable: Fill the bag with anything until it's a little heavier that it would be when you normally carry it around. Buy a wooden suit hanger (any Target or Wal Mart). Hang the pack on the hanger, making sure that the shoulder straps bend where your shoulders would be. Tie the pack down so that it will not slip out of place or slide on the hanger. Let it hang there for a day or two and then it will be ready to go. Makes a world of difference.

With the straps broken in, this is hands down my favorite pack to wear around the city. It can go anywhere from an outdoor festival to a nice restaurant. Perfect!

I looked at reviews here and elsewhere for months before I finally replaced a 12 year old EMS bag. Bought the North Face Surge 2. Decent pack but very "stiff" is the only way I can put it. I needed something:

Big enough to take 2 lunches, a change of clothes, a sweater, laptop, cords, kindle and other odds and ends with me to work nearly every day on my 60 mile commute via train bus and subway.

Nice looking enough for the office but rugged and versatile enough to be a hiking day-pack stuffed with everything an over-packer like me can think of.

Comfortable and well balanced to minimize back stress while commuting/hiking.

That protects a laptop very well.

With a waist buckle to shift a lot of the weight to my hips. I know many hate these/think they look dorky. To each their own but it makes a world of difference on the back. I think you can take them off if you want. Me though, I love the waist belt and had a hard time finding a good pack with one.

Check check check and check. Love this bag. Only had it a month so can't speak to longevity but it seems durable, but without the stiffness of some other bags.

It doesn't have the easy airport pocket feature that many bags advertise, but personally I didn't want that as I rarely ever fly and found the extra pocket feature just added bulk and is useless when I'm not travelling with a laptop like on the weekend hiking. The laptop IS very well protected though in the dedicated internal sleeve. Well cushioned on all edges and sides and the bottom of the laptop sleeve is cushioned and "elevated" a bit off the base of the main bag compartment so if you put the bag down hard you're fine. And I dig that when not toting the laptop, the compartment just smooshes flat to allow me to cram more stuff in.

Some people have complained about he straps digging into shoulders or something. Everybody's body is shaped differently but I had zero problems (5-9 guy, average build) and I wear it for hours at a time often overstuffed, and I find the straps very comfortable and the back cushioning is nice as well.

I could see a frequent airport traveller maybe wanting a pack with that easy open sleeve feature but it's not like sliding the laptop out of the sleeve within the main compartment is particularly hard or time consuming.

In sum, highly recommended from someone hard to please with backpacks.

Mace Group Macally 12" iBook Memory Foam Case - carrying case ( SPONGE12 )

Apple accessories are an industry unto themselves, some of them of questionable usefulness (like personalized colors for your iPod's remote switch). Not so this Macally iBook case. I only wish I'd had a thick, spongy dermal layer like this one covering my thin-skinned Powerbook before it fell off a chair and sustained what proved to be more than a flesh wound.

Give Macally "A's" for price (I've seen similar cases costing 3-4 times as much at Apple stores), quality (I love making finger prints and other impressions in the shock-resistant plastic "ooze"), and design (two zippers, a well-placed velcro flap, and a sturdy handle insure secure transporting of your machine).

The foregoing features would satisfy me were it not for this little overachiever's claim that it can be used as a protective covering even while the computer is in its case. Wishful thinking. The 4 corner straps are simply too loose and marginally placed to remain attached to the machine while in use. Feels a bit like trying to maneuver the cutting of a slippery 12" pie in a greased 14" inch tin. May as well remove your iBook from the case once it's reached its destination. The failure of the Macally people to leave a "port-hole" for connecting a power supply is one more argument for letting your iBook out of its cage now and then.

All in all, a prudent purchase, providing you accept the trade-offs.

This one is pretty good. It's very compact and very light and provides good cushioining to the notebook. It looks awesome as well. The only downside is the space is exact enough just to fit the notebook, the power supply cannot be put in tha case for this reason.

I've had this memory foam case for my iBook for several years now. The case is made of a thick amount of memory foam that protects the screen and battery sides of the laptop very well. However, the zipper, which goes around 3 sides of the laptop, affords little padding. Fortunately, the case is specifically made to fit the iBook perfectly so there is no wiggle room once the laptop is in. However this also means that you have to pay a little bit more attention when putting in your iBook or the case won't close. The main reason I took off a star for this case was because the zipper pull tab is really small and to make it more manageable, Macally encased it in a piece of rubber that is ~1 inch long. However, I've had two cases with the same problem where the rubber would eventually crack and break off and making the zipper pull tab hard to grab. Overall, a good perfectly-fitted case for my iBook.

For the price, this has been the perfect case for my iBook G4 over the last two years. As noted in another review, the only design flaw is the elastic corner straps, which are not great, but work well once combined with the Velcro I used to keep the laptop and case bottoms and tops together. With that adjustment, I have kept the case on the computer 99% of the time I've owned it, only taking it off at airport security. It can run for hours without heating up the memory foam at all, which makes it more lap-friendly. The memory foam itself is a big advantage over other padded laptop cases I've tried.

I was looking for a bag for a laptop I got from a client. I looked at several and was looking for the one the client had and I found it for what I thought was a great price. It is the exact bag. When it arrived it looked new, but after almost slicing my hand open when I felt the broken buckle for the shoulder strap zip tied to the bag 4 times. I really didn't care for the shoulder strap, I can use others I have off of other luggage if I need one. But it would have been nice to know up front it was defective and what that defect was. If I did cut my hand open my lawyers would be handling this now, but for now, here's my review. I never contacted the vendor, not worth the hassle and I have a functional bag in good shape.

I've been a fan of theirs for a while, now. This bag does not disappoint. On the back is a hard shell exterior to protect your inside compartment. Inside is a vibrant green for aesthetics. There's a large pocket to fit your iPad, even with a case on it! There are two other pockets (a medium size and small size) and three pencil/pen slots. On the other side of the interior, you have a two large mesh pockets accessed via zipper. And a large zipper pocket that is pretty much the dimensions of the case and well-protected by the hard coated back. Next is the large laptop compartment, cushioned nicely to protect your electronics! Finally a small pock for quick-access essentials. The front is a padded mesh which is very comfortable. Backpack straps are neatly stashed away in here and do not interfere with the comfort on your back. This could also be used as another additional storing space but probably not recommended unless it's a slim folder since it sits directly on your back. A seat-belt strap is included which attaches securely using velcro and button snaps. There's a nice, cushy shoulder strap. Overall, a really nice travel case for a VERY affordable price. i hate paying forty dollars for anything, but this LOOKED like by far the best deal for a portable hard bag, and i just got it and it IS(im pretty sure). i wanted something hard to put my macbook in bc im super paranoid bc all my work is on it. ONLY ONE SIDE IS HARD but thats ok i guess and the other side is well padded. my only issue is that you put your computer in the soft side, which is annoying because i wish it was right next to the hard shell to be protected. whatever....the other hard carrying bags and cases were way more expensive sooOOoo

SOLO Vintage 15" Laptop Backpack

An excellent bag with one caveat. The bag is labeled as 15.4 inch, but it does not specify explicitly what size computer it will hold. The documentation included with the bag gives the dimensions of the computer compartment as 12 x 14 x 2. I recently acquired a 15 inch laptop. Its dimensions are 15 x 10. It barely fits. A 15 x 11 laptop wouldn't. If your computer will fit into it, I agree with the other reviews for the bag. It has good quality and is designed to conveniently hold a large number of accessories and other things. If the bag fits you'll love it. If it doesn't, you'll have to return it.

As a professional, I have always preferred a backpack over a briefcase or shoulder bag because a backpack is easier to carry a greater weight. My problem was that I have always been very embarrassed carrying around a canvas bag with business clothes. This leather backpack looks nice enough that I can get away with it. It is very well made, very sturdy, and stands up by itself. It has a great, roomy laptop computer compartment and enough other compartments to separate items without being overly complicated. Very easy to access whatever you want. My only complaint (very minor) is that I wish the interior was some other color besides tourquise (dark green would have been better). Other than that, a perfect, great looking, well made backpack and highly recommended.

After hauling a semi durable nylon bag for 3 years daily to work and through about 30 international trips I really was looking for a slightly larger capacity, definitely a more business formal look and something sturdy. This bag has pleased me on all accounts. The leather is very nice look and feel and is sturdy. I do like the blue interior the lighter lining color (it is not gaudy) helps to see items at the bottom of the bag vs a dark color where items tend to be obscured. Enough pockets but not too many so with this bag you are not always playing hide and seek.

UPDATE Now ~3 months using this bag during 5 international trips and daily office use... this bag is worth the expense. Travels great. Sturdy, attractive and roomy enough for long trips. I recommend this bag.

UPDATE2 Now 5 months and still very pleased. Look is like new after daily use and multiple international trips. Excellent buy... and I noticed the price has dipped a bit.

Update 3 Now over a year. Still great decision to purchase this back pack. Retains orginal look. Been on ~10 international trips and to work 5 days a week. I'd buy another.

Update 4 19 May 2012 still just fine. Very good value and construction. 18 months and it looks like I will have another few years on this bag at least.

Update 5 13 Dec 2012 even better value as I see the price decreased about 20% since I bought it. Since previous (May) update I've used daily and been overseas 4 to 5 times. Still holding up and looking fine.

I have had this since late April 2011.... one of the shoulder straps is starting to tear along the seam between the leather and nylon.

Depending on the weight of your computer, you might want to be very discerning with this purchase.

Solo did not offer any resolution. I had high hopes. Too bad as they had other products I was considering. They lost a customer over this issue. Perhaps they have so many first time customers that they don't need to address issues. Perhaps my experience is the exception.

The product pictured, has handles. The case received does not. The vendor confirmed the item# as being correct, and indicated that they don't carry this product with handles. Some of the customer reviews reference the handles on the product. I am very disappointed in not having received the item pictured and referenced in the reviews. Furthermore, I have to pay the cost of return shipping, which will not be refunded to me.

I have a Dell Studio 17.3 inch laptop and it fits great in this bag. The front pocket is big enough to hold the charger and mouse,but not much more. If you're looking for a slim bag this is the one you want.

My HP dv7 fits perfectly in this case, there is some extra space left inside. The pocket is big enough to hide the power supply and it does not look too bulgy. Overall the case looks slick and stylish. The case produced some chemical odor for a few days but it went away.

New laptops for christmas that were 17.3 inches. We wanted laptop sleeve that was neoprene and had handles to make ease of carrying the larger laptop. Read reviews and liked picture although settled for plain black as only color choice. When cases arrived they had small side strap and NO HANDLES as seen in picture. This is NOT what we wanted and feel pictoral description was deceiving.

It does the job. It is sleek, well-padded, has nice zippers and a convenient handle. The side pocket is an added bonus, as well just enough room to stuff a power cord and/or mouse into. I have a Dell Studio 1747 (17 in.) and it fits perfectly. I am going to use this sleeve to add extra padding for my laptop when I pack it into my backpack. If I ever have to only transport the laptop this bag is sufficient. I totally recommend.

The product is fine but just know that this is not even close to the color you get. The actual color is kind of a brownish-green, like a dark khaki.

I ordered this diaper bag insert to put inside the blue Kelty Tote Diaper Bag I bought previously. It fits perfectly and I am still able to utilize the pockets and water bottle holder inside the tote. Keeps contents well organized and makes them easy to find. The color is a mustard yellow. The sale price is high for what it is, but it's worth it.

Armor Tactical Response Backpack Bag for Professionals GO Bag

I have the "CERT" version of this bag (green with yellow "CERT" on the long side pocket). The outer long side pocket holds 3 C-Collars (a little tight but they fit). Each of the outer pockets hold a metal water container (not designed for them but they work). They advertise they are radio pockets but are WAY too big to hold radios even public service radios.

The inner large pocket is one giant pocket with two mesh inner pockets (on the same side as the front water bottle pockets). I can hold one foldable canvas litter and an emergeny radio/binoculars in the mesh pockets. The large inner area can hold a green CERT backpack and the waist pack just right. The shoulder straps shown work but are not comfortable for any kind of long hauling more to get your gear from your truck to a plane or bus.

This pack (in my opinion) is great to keep all of your CERT gear, climbing gear, water rescue gear, etc. in one spot, easily accessable and organized. I keep mine in the back of my Excursion but this would fit even in smaller cars (mid size to the larger end of compact cars). NOT for smart cars, etc. :) This is much more durable than a typical zipper duffel...the zipper is very tough (heavy duty YKK?), stitching is beefy and it's meant to be abused.

Does it's job...price has gone up since I bought mine (found it for closer to $75)...honestly I wouldn't buy it now at it's current price you can find other bags without the 'frills' (MOLLE, etc.) that you don't end up using anyway. If you can find it cheaper than $100, go for it, but at $129 it's a little overpriced.

I ordered these because when my husband and I went on our last cruise, they could not identify his luggage because the ship's ID tag had fell off. He did not have an external luggage tag and they did not look in the outside ID pocket. The same also happened to my brother in-law. After my sister and I accidently discovered their luggage, I resolved to have large, distinctive tags for his luggage for this upcoming cruise. Thus, the bear luggage tags. My husband adores the Chicago Bears and was ecstatic when he received these. However, we each took one tag, could not separate the paper from under the plastic and inadvertently each of us broke our respective tag's back square. We however managed to get the ID slip inside the case. Needless to say, we are not happy with the broken tags. However my husband still likes the design, weight and size of the tags. They just have to be redesigned so people can put the ID slips in between the plastic.

I should start by saying I am not rough on bags or baggage. The first day I used this bag, 3 of the main zipper pulls broke off in my hand while I was zipping the bag. Another has broken since then. I am making do as is, but that was super disappointing. Otherwise, it has been a good size for my laptop and other papers.

This pack has a nice well padded compartment inside the one main pocket for my laptop (15") and room for files or a change of clothes in the remainder of the pocket. I don't require room for bulky computer accessories beyond a charger and memory stick. It has nice padded straps although it doesn't weigh much. I wouldn't recommend it for a student's bookbag looking to carry more than a few books at a time. Its a simple compact bag that makes my travels easier just what I needed. For this price range, I might say 5 stars after a year or so after it stands the test of time.
