New Review update 5/23/12: All I can say is I love my packback! I had it for two years now, and it has held through nursing school and lugging around those big BOOKS! It just just as good as the first day I got it! I only wish now that I could have the purple one because purple is my favorite color!!! ; ) Trust me, its worth the money to spend on a good backpack. I am so surprised that there are no reviews on this backpack yet, so I am going to write one in hopes that somebody will read this and maybe this will help their decision to purchase this backpack!

First of all, I purchased this from on their website, and within 48 hours, my new bookbag was on my door step from Fed Ex! TALK ABOUT PROMPT! (And this was just regular shipping, not overnight!) So that REALLY impressed me! I opened up the box in excitement and saw my beautifully colored Sierra Powerglide (I had gotten the Multi-cross colored one, and I am very glad I purchased this color. It will def. stand out from the rest of the book bags!)

The reason why I purchased this book bag was because I was accepted into nursing school, and for 3 years now, I have been tugging around heavy HEAVY medical science books on my shoulders along with my laptop computer so I could take notes in my pre-requisites for nursing school! So count 3 heavy textbooks, a binder, a computer, PLUS my purse... all that weight adds up! = a very sore student! I'm already 22, don't want to feel 42! lol. So I thought, why not get a "rolling" "laptop" bag? Something with lots of room in it so I can store all my stuff in it, tug it to school, and not ruin my back in the mean time! Makes sense! And I made a brilliant decision!

The bag itself has 3 zippered compartments along with a zippered compartment that holds your MP3 player (Good for the music lovers like me!) right on the top, and along the side, there are two compartments that will hold your water bottle or whatever accessories you decide to bring along with you! The water bottle actually fits right in there perfectly and you are able to zip it so you can't even see it! (This is just a standard plastic .5 L Ice Mountain water bottle that I used in my bag!)

The pocket on the very front is good for organizing your things (pens.. pencils.. calculator, ID.. key.. phone! Notepad) So that was good. The next zipper is the zipper for your laptop! Now I am using a Hp Pavilion DV6000.. so the screen is about 15.4 inches across, and this fit perfectly in it (even with my slightly bigger battery that I am using on my computer.. it didn't make a difference in the thickness!) I even have enough room in that compartment to put a few notebooks or a small binder, or even to pack my AC adapter for my laptop in there! This was a HUGE PLUS! If you are purchasing a book bag for a laptop, the Sierra Powerglide is a good choice BECAUSE you want a book bag that places your computer IN FRONT OF YOUR BOOKS! Its a smarter design, and this means less harm for your computer in the mean time! (You won't have the weight of your books crushing on top of your PC if your computer is in the front, so keep this in mind when you are buying a bag for your laptop!)

In the main compartment, there is tons of room! You def could fit 3-4 HUGE textbooks along with a binder, and then even some on top of it, as the book bag is pretty tall! (think about putting your lunch there on top of your books on those long school days!)

And then finally, the wheels are very sturdy, and the straps feel wonderful on my back! I really like the design of the straps as you can choose to hide them when you use handle bar, or when you don't want to pull your backpack!) But honestly, I can tell you right now that I am DEF going to using the bar to pull this, as this was one of the biggest reasons why I bought this bag! The only thing that I was playing around with was the handle bar. Its kind of tricky getting it to set to the first height (the bar can raise to two heights) but with tinkering around, you can figure it out! Also, in the MP3 pocket, it is also tricky getting your headphones through that little compartment, but that is just all minor stuff!

Overall, I am very happy that I purchased this bag and I am looking forward to finishing nurse school with this bag and even graduate school! If you have a high course load and you need to find something to tug your stuff around with.... get a bag with more than 3000 cu. inch capacity, or just this one!! HIGHLY Recommend!!!

After a LOT of searching and reviewing, I finally decided on this wheeled laptop bag. I could not be happier!!

I continue to be amazed at how much room it has inside!! Not only is it bigger than most laptop bags, there are so many inside pockets even zippered ones! It also has a back that unzips and provides you backpack straps to carry if you are not in a place to wheel it. The handle mechanism is very smooth and sturdy does not feel "cheap".

This bag would work excellently for someone having to travel over a night or two easily hold some clothes and toiletries for a quick trip.

It is worth every penny (at least as of today but I will say I have only had the opportunity to use it twice!)

Best of all it is Made in the USA!

I, too, purchased this bag due to the enormous books I have to carry for nursing school. I did a lot of research before choosing this bag, and while I'm not dissatisfied with it, there are a lot of things I'm not thrilled about.

The Good: the bag meets my needs size wise, with enough room to carry: a large binder, two normal sized text books, 15" laptop, planner and numerous smaller supplies. The wheels seem to be well designed, and I've never had an issue with the handle. Backpack rolls smoothly and the handle on the top is super handy when you encounter a set of stairs. The numerous pockets with organizers are nice, and really help you find something in a hurry.

The Bad: the zippers are definitely not top quality. My bag came with one broken zipper, and with the way the others zip, I'm not sure they'll all last through the school year. While the bag is large, once you put a laptop in it, you are severely limited on what you can put in the largest compartment. The laptop pouch seems to be so well cushioned, that it takes up 1/3 of the overall space. Lastly, what bag maker these days doesn't put in mesh pouches for water bottles? There are zippered pockets on the side that you can shove a water bottle in, but they aren't nearly big enough, nor designed properly for that.

The only other comment I have, is be incredibly careful as to what you put in the largest compartment. Today, while pulling out on of my larger textbooks, I realized that the little wheel wells in the large compartment completely dented my textbook binding. Because it's a textbook I need for the entire year, I'm not super thrilled about it. I will live with it, but I may be looking to get a higher quality backpack come next year.

This just arrived today, so I admit I haven't tried it out yet. But it has a 5 year warranty, which really gives me some peace of mind. $70 is a lot to spend for a poor college student, but I really need something high-quality to carry all my heavy text books around in. I am 5'9" and the handle is actually long enough!! It's adjustable and it appears that it would work for someone even taller. I am so glad I won't have to hunch over and pull a muscle. It seems sturdy and the zippers move smoothly. There is plenty of room for a lot of heavy text books and a pocket for a laptop. It also has an organizer for pens, calculator, etc. I am impressed.

This is one of the best UL / Summit daypacks on the market and at 7 3/4 oz actual weight super light. The pack has a mesh back that is excellent for ventilation and reducing the sweaty back typical of backpacks, the mesh also creates great traction on your back vs sil nylon back panels that tend to slide around, the new model comes with a removable waist belt (make sure the outfit that sells you the pack confirms that it comes with the waist belt, if not Equinox LTD has them on hand).

This is what I've been looking for in a day/peak bag. Absolutely large enough to carry a full compliment of goods once you drop your tent and sleeping gear. The water bottle holders on each side comfortably hold my 32 oz. Nalgene bladders and the hood pocket keeps thing the little things readily accessible. Absolutely comfortable in all respects. I took off the waist strap. Not needed for my use. The net back grips my shirt or jacket fine so no need to secure the pack to me with the waist belt. Sure wish it had a sternum strap but the daisy chain loops that run down both shoulder straps make fabricating that little item a snap. I loaded the pack with a 10L dry sack to keep rain out but was surprised that the material this is made of is nicely water repellent (it rained like crazy yesterday). The one day I used it so far (yesterday) it was a dream. As a side note, while not an advertised feature, the pack comfortably tucks away into the hood pocket (just turn the pocket inside out, stuff her in and then pull the now inside-out zipper closed)for compact storage in your larger pack. It loses a star for no sternum strap (C'mon Equinox sternum straps are outright essentials. I'll live with the extra 1/2 oz. Oh, the waist belt can become a sternum strap. FYI.).

As some others have noted, the backpack is a bit on the small side. Other than that, though, it's a very nice backpack. Took some adjusting to get it to fit just right, there are numerous straps that need to be adjusted, but once it's in the right spot, it stays put. The padding on it is excellent, very comfortable and has pads in places you wouldn't expect (on both the shoulder straps AND on the part that actually touches your back). The padding helps to keep my laptop from stabbing me in the back, and it gives the backpack a bit of a curve. With a normal backpack, you end up with the "flat" feeling if you have books or a laptop, and it feels like the backpack is barely touching your back. This one is far more comfortable in that regard.

Was *barely* able to fit a 14" HP Envy Ultrabook with a neoprene slip cover. Not sure if it would fit a 15" laptop as claimed. With the (very thin) laptop in the backpack, I can fit one AVERAGE size textbook and a notebook or two. So if you have lots of books (or even 1 big book) to haul around, I'd go with one of the bigger backpacks. For reference, this one is advertised as 17 Liter capacity.

Good construction, zippers open and close properly, helmet holder is effective if a bit unwieldy (I think that would be the case with any backpack with helmet holder, it's hard not to hit people and/or objects).

I would not recommend this diaper bag to anyone. Prior to this bag, I'd purchased a diaper bag worth $180 that had manufacturing issues and I had to return. Having gone through that process, I decided to try something inexpensive that I would not mind replacing if I did not like it. I did not even use this bag one month before I gave it away. It is flimsy and looks very cheap. It has no structure and does not hold your belongings efficiently. The zipper did not even close all the way. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

It's beautiful and big. Though the hand leather doesn't look authentic. I hope it serve me maximally. Looking forward for better purchases.

Positives first. Very girly, Not too large, stylish, and the color is amazing.

Now for the Negatives. The straps are very cheap, I do not see this bag lasting very long at all especially for every day use. 2. The zipper is very cheap. No insulated places to keep bottles. There are no stroller straps included for this bag.

Conclusion: If you want this for light use and do not need to tote around a ton of stuff or if you are looking for a pretty cheap bag that you do not have to worry about it being destroyed or stolen at say day care or tips to places like the zoo then this is the bag for you. If you are looking for something that is going to last you a long time, and hold all of your baby gear in a very organized manor then this is not the bag for you.

"OAKLEY" Status Pack

The laptop bag is well constructed and is stylish. I am a big fan of Oakley and this backpack did not disappoint. It provides numerous compartments to store your accessories. My only small complaint is the laptop compartment is a bit tight. Currently I have an oversized laptop with and extended battery. Wildkin Horses in Pink Serious Backpack

This would be great for a computer if my daughter had one... really big, lots of padding (I got her a smaller one too but she insists on using this one. The only thing I wish it had was thicker or more padding on the bottom (not just in the computer area), and padding in the bottom of the mesh area for drinks...

Time will tell the test on the durability, but I can't see anything that gives me concerns at this point. We had a smaller (Kindergarten) sized Wildkin back pack in the same print. That has been in use over a year (and through the washer) and it is holding up great so I am expecting the same from this backpack. I got this for when my daughter is a little older and out-grows the current backpack. I didn't want to miss out on being able to find this pink horse print down the road. It's darn cute. I have been very pleased with the Wildkin pink horse line, except for the rolling backpack that was defective. Other that that product, I recommend the line of backpacks and lunch bags/boxes.

Needed to replace my old day-pack, and did quite a bit of shopping for a new one. Price was good, positive reviews, so I sprung for it. Glad I did... appears very well made, very good utility with padded laptop pocket and plenty of space with multiple pockets. Very pleased so far.

I grabbed this backpack as a temporary replacement while my Ful Powerbag is being serviced under warranty. I'm quite pleased with it for the money. The straps are comfortable, even when loaded down. The main pockets are spacious. I would have liked more in the way of organizing pockets for pens, gadgets, etc, but it's again adequate for the price. I do find the vertical zipping pocket on the back of the bag to be kind of a mystery. I don't know what it's for or how to use it effectively.

My only real complaint is that with the fewer number of organizing pockets in this bag, a lot of my pens and stuff sort of accumulate at the bottom. Something to keep in mind if you carry a lot of pens, ipods, jump drives, and other small stuff.

If you like making statements, this bag is a great canvas. The outside of the bag is relatively flat and solid black. It displays my button collection nicely, and would make a good display area for patches, embroidery, or other modding.

This is a great sleeve for the Toshiba Thrive tablet. It fits well, just slides in and doesn't have a lot of slop in the fit. The outer pockets are nice for holding ear buds etc. They stretch so you could fit larger items like the power cord it you wanted. I prefer not to stretch the pockets too much so I keep my cell phone in one pocket and smaller items in the others. The inside is nice soft felt and the overall build quality is excellent.

Not much to review...it fits my Galaxy Tab, and most others, except the iPad, of course, since its more 4:3 aspect ratio.

Its nice and soft on the inside...to protect the screen.

It's an interesting backpack. I wanted one to alleviate the shoulder pain I was getting from my purse. This is NOT the bag for that. It's not a handbag replacement. However, it IS a great bag for textbooks and especially for a laptop. It's well padded and well constructed. It's also far roomier than it looks, yet it stays very flat against your back. It's good looking enough to take to work and/or meet with a client. Since it does lay so flat, I never felt like a large-backed turtle and I never had to remove it when I was walking though narrow bus isles or on subway when it was packed for rush hour.

It has a lot of pockets where you can place a full sized mouse, powercord, some flash drives and of course your laptop and textbooks. The straps are comfortable and evenly distribute the weight so your shoulders and back feel fine after even though you might have been carrying a lot of weight. I would not recommend this if you want to use it for a 17" laptop AND textbooks. If you just put in the laptop, you can carry a 17".

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a professional, stylish, and COMFORTABLE laptop backpack. You can get a lot into it and still look sharp. Great look for men or women.

My Mac G4 fits very well, with a bit of space to spare, and there is a pocket for cords and stuff. There is also a practical pocket on the band, it is a pity it is so small. I find this the most comfortable laptop backpack I own, it doesnt weigh much in itself so it is just the weight of your laptop, and on my the laptop sits right in the small of my back so I can walk 30' back and from my home to my office, no problem. The design is a bit flashy, brown with gray that has a lot of light blue in it. I dont think I'd use products by other makers now that I've found this one.

I was excited when I saw this backpack and purchased it. Then, I got very disappointed when I tried to fit in my toshiba 17" notebook and could not close the zipper. The other point I did not like was the fact that I could not get it to set comfortably on my back even when it was completely empty. It was extremely tight on my shoulders and arm pits. Now imagine if it contained a laptop. I received the product and returned it 2 days later. To be fair, I practiced sports for almost my whole life and am not ordinarily built so this is my experience, yours may be different and better.

The back pack is great, but unfortunately it doesn't fit my 17in+ laptop. That's entirely my fault, it clearly states it will fit a 17. I tried my hardest to squeeze it in, I could use the pack to carry it with the zipper open. I think it would be a lot more comfortable to wear with a much smaller laptop, the larger one was stiff and didn't sit low enough in the pack. It kind of made me feel like a turtle with a hard shell on my back. But the bag was a great price, so I'm going to keep it and use it for other things.

She can't hold a whole lot, but I always get compliments when I go clubbing with it-it holds my basics and nothing else-otherwise it gets bulky and warped, which defeats the purpose of a cute bag.

I received the replacement, but it was the Ariel backpack instead, again. So I ended up with lost time, two wrong backpacks and no gift for the party. Hence, the seller gets 1 star from me for trying and failing. As far as the backpack's quality goes, I would give it 3 stars mostly for pretty colors. It's a throw away backpack that won't last a year, but will sure make a little girl happy because it's so cheerful and colorful.

I bought this backpack with the intention of having something my princess-loving 3 year old could store all her pertinent "stuff" in for when we do day trips to Grandma's house. And the fact that it's wheeled means she can pull it herself without me having to feel like a Sherpa every time we leave the house. The handle snaps firmly in place and retracts with a decent amount of pressure. There are two side pockets that have Velcro, 3 main pockets, and a smaller back pocket where the straps are. The bag is really lightweight, which is good, since by the time she's filled it, its not, but it does tip over if too full. The canvas seems really durable, the plastic wheels/handle less so (tougher to wheel on carpet), and since I don't plan on having it thrown around an airport conveyer belt, I'm ok with the cheaper plastic.

This just arrived today so we have not had time to use it yet (other than my almost 4 year old dragging it around the house). The construction quality is much better than I anticipated. There are two large zipper pocket portions and one small on the front. There is velcro on the back to keep the straps from dragging when it's being rolled. When my 4 year old daughter puts it on her back it is quite large but is perfect for what we bought it for. We are going to use it as her carry on for the airplane. This will fit more than enough. I would say it would be perfect for a long weekend as well.

I just went on a month long solo trip in Europe and Morocco with this backpack, because I heard great things about it on a travel website. I'm so glad I made this purchase. First, the color, all black is perfect because it soaks up stains and doesn't draw attention, so it's not a likely thing to get stolen. It's also very heavy duty. The zippers held up perfectly, and the straps were actually very comfortable. The best thing of all is the size. It's small enough to use as a carry on baggage, which means you don't have to waste time checking baggage or picking it up at the airport. Yet somehow, for being a a carry on bag, the amount of stuff that fits in there is amazing. I had two pairs of pants, five shirts, 8 pairs of socks and 7 pairs of underwear, along with a 10 inch netbook laptop in it's own day pack. All of it fit into the backpack, with some room left over. I'm stil not sure how that all fit. Basically, if you want a good, sturdy, reliable travel pack, pick this one.

I bought this for my husband because I got tired of constantly buying him backpacks and they rip within a couple of months of him having them. Well he has this backpack for a year and it is still going strong with not even a rip or tear. I wish I had thought about this years ago and I could have saved me some money.

This is a very nice bag. It alsoto loks like it could be a good computer case. It is well padded. I ordered one of these for my wife and it was defective. It was a manufacturer default on the stitching. I emailed the company letting them know this and they are replacing it for free. I dont even have to return the damaged item. Thats awesome, it saves me money on shipping charges. And i know the wife will be really happy to get a new one that is in better condition.

I bought this set for my one year old son as I thought he needed something cute for his lunch and day care things. I get tons of compliments from his teachers and other parents. The lunch bag is a little small, but I'm able to fit two sippy cups and several small plastic containers in it. It also fits nicely in the mini-fridge at daycare so I don't have to unpack his lunch when I drop him off. The backpack is spacious enough for a toddler, though it's currently too heavy for him to actually wear without falling over.
