The bag is not rigid like most Tumi bags. It's actually on the floppy side so it molds to your body very well and it's very comfortable.

Tenba Shootout 632-642 Convertible Photo Sling Bag Small (Silver/Black)

I bought this bag in black/olive color (632-641). Originally I didn't give it much thought and passed over it since I wanted a bag I could swing around to my waist and you wouldn't think a backpack style bag can do that. Appearances can be deceiving.

This bag is designed to swing around for access without having to take it off your shoulder. What appears to be a zipper pouch (in the Amazon photo of the product it's the zipper section on the lower left side of the bag) is actually a door that opens to the interior of the bag. The shoulder strap is designed to be worn over your right shoulder, down across your chest, and buckles to the bag on the lower left side. With this arrangement, if you swing the bag around to your front (without removing it from your shoulder or disconnecting the strap) the entire bag will NOW be positioned in front of you, sideways, and just above waist level. What's more, that zipper door on the 'lower left' side of the bag will now be on 'top' of the bag. This means you have access to your spare lenses, accessories, flash, etc. without actually needing to remove the bag. There is a second smaller strap that connects from the lower right corner of the bag and snaps to a buckle on the front of the shoulder strap this gives it more stability so it can't slide around if you're hiking. For occasional use it is not necessary to connect the second strap and there's a sleeve on the side of the bag to tuck in the strap when it's not being used (so you don't have a dangling strap).

The entire inside appears to be two compartments. One on the top of the bag (which has padded baffles to allow the camera and lens to rest face-down inside the bag), and a lower section with numerous adjustable dividers (velcro). The entire "floor" that separates the top from the bottom is also attached via velcro and can be adjusted to any height, allowing you to apportion space to the top section vs. the bottom section.

The full padded back of the bag (the part that would rest against your back) also zippers completely open. It zippers open down the left, bottom, and right sides of the bag.

Everything on the inside is adjustable. All baffles, dividers, and floor sections are connected using velcro and can be repositioned.

The right-side of the bag (not visible in the Amazon product picture) has a pair of adjustable straps intended to attach a small tripod or mono-pod. There is also a non-adjustable strap on the bottom of the bag which could be used to attach or hang an extra accessory.

Tenba "Shootout" series bags are designed for outdoor use with exposure to weather. The zippers are all designed to be fairly weather-tight. Every zipper has a vinyl seal so the teeth are not exposed when the zippers are closed. The bag is not "waterproof" but is "water-resistant" and would have no problem with medium rain or spray. The bag also comes with a rain slick which covers every side of the bag *except* the back-pad -this is suitable for protection if you're caught in more severe weather.

I think this bag has better quality than just about any of the other bags I looked at. I only gave it four stars (instead of 5) because some of the areas of this bag were just a little too small. My camera outfit includes a camera body with an 18-55mm zoom, a 55-250mm zoom, a 60mm macro lens, a dedicated flash, diffuser, a large battery shoe (mates to bottom of the DSLR), as well as some smaller items such as filters, remote shutter release, spare batteries & charger . Capacity-wise the bag is large enough. But organizationally, the whole point of the bag is to allow me to switch lenses, get to my flash, etc. without having to take the bag off my back. It took a while to find any arrangement of the adjustable compartments that would allow everything to fit in the bag, but I had to sacrifice accessibility and take the bag off my back in order to access what I needed. The dividers in the lower section seem designed with the assumption that you'll open the full back to get inside the bag. If positioned to allow access from the side door the dividers are a bit too tall and it was difficult to get various accessories in and out of the bag easily (it would have helped if the side door was a bit larger). If the camera (I used a Canon EOS Rebel T1i) is in the top section pointed down (which is how they intend for it to be stored) the floor dividing the upper and lower sections needed to be repositioned because the 18-55mm lens (which isn't particularly long) was too tall. Repositioning the floor took away so much space from the lower section that my gear really didn't fit anymore, and created a lot of wasted space in the top (of course this is a matter of how much gear you have -on the positive side you could fit a camera with a very very long lens inside the bag if you wanted.

I love the product construction quality (it's not flimsy) and the cleverness of the design, but I think the baffles & dividers need to be made for better accessibility from the side door (which is the whole point of the bag).

I think this bag would be ideal for someone with fewer accessories & lenses. Tenba makes a 'medium' size version of this same bag which I haven't tried yet, but I do plan to check it out and see if it works a little better.

Tenba has a video tour of the bag on their own website for better views and demonstrates how to wear and use the sling bag.

Nikon D90, 18-200mm, 50mm prime, 105mm Micro, GoPro with case and accessories, Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1, spare batteries and chargers, men's tri-fold wallet, Motorola Droid Bionic and hardshell eye glass case. These are the items I carried in the Tenba 641 on a recent trip to Alaska. No problem with TSD. I stowed this bag with items mentioned under my seat on Alaska Airlines.

This is just the right size. It is made of durable materials. The handle on top is very strong if you prefer to carry it and not use it just as a backpack. Nice snug safe fit. Great for school use with plenty of room for books together with the laptop computer. I will definitely buy another one.

I just received this backpack today and am writing this review in support of the product. So far so good.. It seems very sturdy and it is a little snug for my ASUS G73 17.3" gaming laptop. I am able to place the power brick, ipad, logitech gaming mouse and pads, USB external harddrive, and a 15" acer laptop inside the backpack! (I haven't tried placing a PS3 or XBOX yet, but i'm sure either console would fit in place of the 15" laptop) I didn't have any shipping issues as it came on time with a tracking number as well. Mojo Rucksack Backpack

I have used the back pack for about three weeks now and am pleased with it. The buttons are indeed a bit difficult to close at first, but one learns how to efficiently close them after a few times. It seems very sturdy so far, as I have carried many college textbooks along with an iPad in it and the straps have held strong. I would prefer the straps to have padding for a bit more comfort on my shoulders when I do have a lot of textbooks in the bag, but overall it is still comfortable. I also like that the inside is lined with non-absorbent material so I can wipe it with a damp cloth if needed and there is a small pocket on the inside for a small wallet or student IDs and other cards.

I love this backpack it looked like a charcoal gray when I received it even though it says black, but I prefer gray anyway so it works out fine. It has more than enough room, I just went camping to test it out and filled the backpack to capacity with room to spare. It's comfortable and affordable.

Although we love the back pack and the quality seems good, the color was not the khaki in the picture. The color was much more of a gray/taupe color with a more muddy brown color for the trim & straps. We decided to keep it because we needed an immediate replacement for a broken backpack and my daughter said the color wasn't bad, just not what the picture showed.

Funny thing, I just saw this backpack in this television show, "Homeland" which Damian Lewis and Claire Danes performed in and it actually is a comfort to use. I had no problem with using this bag through airport security and it fits fine under the seat. It's a very roomy bag and I was able to fit three changes of clothes plus heels. Here's another trick for using this bag: put your liquids in a bag between the two compartments so when you unzip the bag to go through the x-ray machine, you can toss your liquids into a bin. No need to fish it out of the main compartment.

After dropping my laptop in Dulles Airport after getting through security, I knew there had to be a better way. This was much cheaper than the replacement CD-Rom drive that got broken.

The side pockets are easy to throw in drinks for those long, dry-air flights. The laptop section held a 15.4 Dell M4400 (the widest brick-heavy laptop out there) with ease. I love the section in the back padding that allows you to slip it right over the handles of your carry-on with having to worry about it falling off. The middle section gives you plenty of space for magazines, notepads and a some snacks. The pouch section holds my USB drive, iphone and blackberry cables, as well as perfecly holds my noise canceling head phones. The zip-thru pouch that opens up is great for putting a jacket in. So when you unzip to get through security, you throw the jacket in the bins, when it comes out "cooked" on the other side of the X-Ray you through it right back in once you zip it back up.

The greatest part is that it all fits comfortably under the seat in front of you.

The only thing I miss is that my old targus had a shoulder pouch to keep a pack of cigarettes\cell phone in.

I can make it through security, without juggling 3 bins like I use to. Now it is this backpack first, bin full of my shoes, belt and ziplock bag, all being pushed along with my carry-on. I can get through the security X-Ray and running out the other side in less than 30 seconds. Assuming I dont have that guy that has to make 4 trips through the detector cause he forget to remove his keys first, then his belt, then his watch. :)

I was searching for a sturdy backpack for school that would allow me to carry my laptop as well as schoolbooks. After reading many of the reviews of this bag, I placed my order and crossed my fingers. I shouldn't have worried; it's a great bag! Solidly built and traveler-friendly with a ton of compartments for every little thing one might need to stow away. While this backpack is slightly larger than your average backpack, it is comfortable to wear trekking cross campus. Also, another aspect of this bag that I love is that it stands upright. I know that sounds kinda crazy, but I find it annoying when your backpack flops over next to your desk and stuff kind of just falls out, or if you need to grab something quickly out of the bag you have to awkwardly curl your body around the side of your chair and then on the way up, smash your head against the desk. I feel better sending my 10 year to school with this cover over her school-issued netbook. I'm a cheapskate by nature, but I feel that this was money well spenther netbook easily stands out plus all of her buddies really like it. The wetsuit-like material gives it some protection, too. The extra skins were fun bonuses and her flute case now wears the matching phone skinalso making it easily identifiable, not too mention cool. We went with the wave design and I hope this will last for the next few years.

I bought this because I prefer slingbags and my old one was stolen. I work in the city and when I work I practically live out of my bag. The bag is lightweight and high quality, but I wish it had more pockets. The only two spaces are the main space and the tiny pocket in front. The tiny pocket doesn't hold much, its not deep enough to put pens or anything like that in. I keep my train pass in it, sometimes my cell phone, but thats about it. The bag is great in the sense that the main compartment is spacious, and holds quite a bit for a slingback. I sometimes carry up to 3 books, my lunch, and even sometimes my knitting in it. But if I am carrying anything smaller, say a nintendo DS, it gets lost in the bottom.

While I complain about this bag, I still like it. It is definitely durable. We sometimes take it hiking with bottles of water and other snacks. I have been carrying it for a year now and haven't moved to replace it until recently when I needed to start carrying a laptop to and from work. Basically, if you need a lot of pockets and organization, you won't like this bag. But, you may like it based on the fact that it is lightweight, comfortable, well made and durable. It still looks the same as when I bought it a year ago, no tears or scuffs.

This was purchased as a gift for a family member who travels over seas frequently. High quality, good size. Very useful product.

This was my second J Bag (I loved the first one so much I wore it out!). I originally bought it as an alternative to the traditional 2-shoulder backpack, which was aggravating a back injury I had. It definitely helped relieve the upper back/shoulder pain I was experiencing with a traditional backpack, and is designed so that I can wear it on either shoulder, or switch shoulders with a simple snap. Very comfortable to wear for a long day of urban hiking, folds up nicely if it needs to fit under your seat, hangs off the back of restaurant chairs easily, and is machine washable! Best bag I've ever had!

I ordered this pack to take the pressure off an injured right shoulder, which it did nicely (as opposed to my "regular" pack which pulls on the shoulders and neck). While this is a great idea and makes carrying loads quite easy, there are issues:

Not enough compartments! The tiny front pocket barely holds keys or a mobile device needs to be bigger, or come with a key chain clip. Additionally, the main interior is just that one big pouch. With that, everything gets jumbled up at the bottom not good! As a busy person, I love pockets and organization.

A very odd fit for women. While the straps hold the bag in place, they cut across a woman's chest area rather uncomfortably I really think this was built with men in mind!

All in all, I would say that this is an interesting and smart concept, but you would be better off looking elsewhere for an ergonomically correct or comfortable sling bag. Not one of my all-time favorite purchases, although I do use it daily.

The unique way this bag straps to the body can be nice but generally speaking it's somewhat awkward to wear and looks strange strapped across my upper body. There are only two compartments -a very tiny one on the front of the bag and the main compartment. The main compartment isn't square which can sometimes cause issues for me when packing it. I would probably choose a more traditional style if I had it to do over again despite thinking I'd really like this unique bag.

Kids Kindergarten Children Backpack / School Bag / Day Pack

I purchased this backpack for a kindergartener whose teacher places homework and notes for home in a 12 3/8" x 9 ½" folder. The Amazon listing states that this backpack measures 14"x11"x6" and it was chosen specifically because it was large enough to hold the school folder.

When the folder clearly did not fit in the backpack my husband, an engineer, measured it. The length of the backpack down the center is 13 3/4", not 14", and the length on the sides measures a scant 12". The width at the bottom of the backpack measures 9 1/4", not 11", and the width along the top of the backpack is only 7 3/4".

I gave the backpack two stars because it is well made of quality materials.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Not too big, not too small. Perfect for a day trip. I was looking for a smaller camera backpack for hiking, festivals, amusement parks, etc. It fits my Nikon D3100 camera with lens attached, extra lens and excessories, flash, tripod with plenty of room for personal items. Also room for water and snacks. Light and comfortable to wear as well as being a nice looking backpack. Packed well and arrived promptly.

Thisnis an incredible bag. Compact, perfect for biking and carrying a lighter load of camera gear. I have a couple cameras on me at all times, as well as my iPad and is is exactly what I was looking for.

Neoprene Laptop Carrying Case Sleeve Bag w. Hidden Handle & Eyelet (D-Ring) for 17 17.3 Inch Notebo

I was psyched when I got this sleeve in the mail and saw it. The design on it is absolutely gorgeous, and while the colors aren't QUITE so saturated as in the display image, they're still vibrant and beautiful, on both sides of the sleeve. The material is smooth and lovely, has some nice thickness to it, and while I wouldn't often use this alone for carrying my laptop around, I love that it has handles for easier transport. It feels very well-made, and fits my huge 17.3" (16:9 ratio) laptop quite nicely, although there's an extra inch or two at the top. I was more concerned about the width, though, and it fits absolutely fine that way, not too snug, but definitely not loose either with the 16.6" width of my Acer Aspire.

I will point out that the sleeve does smell quite strongly due to the neoprene, for the first few days after unpackaging it; and I would definitely recommend airing it out, both wide open and laying flat. DON'T LET THE SCENT DETER YOU. The smell faded most of the way within two days after receiving it, and it's only noticeable now (a full 3 days later) if you're close to the sleeve and actually searching for the scent. I still very highly recommend this sleeve!

I was a little disappointed that it don't come with the scrap like what was listed on the description plus the pictures described. But over all everything is fine.

The colors are not as vibrant as they appear on line, but it is still an attractive bag. It did have a strong neoprene odor & I had to let it air out in the garage for a few days, but was still a good buy.

ILBE Assault Pack Generation 2 Marpat Previously Issued

I wanted a bag I could take camping or on a day hike through the woods. I din't want to shell out the big bucks for name-brand backpacks, and I figured if the ILBE was good enough for the USMC to go to war with, it was probably good enough to carry my things into a state park.

The materials are built of rugged stuff. My particular bag has trace signs of wear and tear, but nothing needed sewing/patching or replacement. There are more straps on this thing than you will likely ever need, but if you do, there they are. The buckles are a very tough and thick plastic. Fully loaded and fastened properly, this bag fits well and does not make you feel like you are about to topple over. There is also a pocket and small opening if you should wish to add a hydration pouch to the ensamble.

If you want more room for more than a day trip into the woods, you should probably get this with the ILBE main pack it attaches to it. I went ahead and ordered the main pack a few days after having this, not because this is a poor product, but because it is a good one and I know the whole thing will be marvelous together.

The assault pack + main pack is just as good as any outdoor retailer's backpacking gear that you can pick up for $200-$300, but this is cheaper and literally battle tested.

And for all you survivalists/preppers, the assault pack would make a fantastic BOB.

Apparently basic training isn't what it looks like in the movies. If this pack was used (From Allegheny Surplus) than this guy was the cleanest Marine I've ever seen. Excellent condition, exactly as described, I could literally not live without this pack after using it once. If you are looking for an easily organized, good sized, well partitioned pack for hiking, camping, or overthrowing a government quickly...you would be wrong to buy anything else.

I just recieved my package today and im impressed with my purchase. Everything is as i expected it to be and better. The only sign of wear is the tag is faded inside it. The only partial complain id have with it is the way it was shipped. there is a plastic backplate in the backpack and the backpack was rolled to fit in the box. Its not any permanent damage but was curved for a hour or so after opening. Im ddefinately suggesting this seller and will continue to purchase from this seller.

I was expecting some dirty semi-used pack. If this was used, the Marine washed out of boot camp on day one. This is quite new. No stains, dirt smell...nothing.

The pack is built very well by Propper (see my image).

There is the main compartment. Inside the main, there is a full length "pouch" with an elastic top. There is also a generous outside pocket.

The waist/hip belts conceal nicely (I didn't even see them for a couple days). I'm a big guy, and straps all fit well.

The quality is great. Sure there are a few tufts of thread from manufacturing. The zippers are tight and the buckles strong

I might buy another!

I love this backpack, lots of goodies. Padded shoulder straps adjustable, with chest strap. Waist belt with wide strong belt and heavy plastic buckles very ergonomic too. Mine was used and missing the top grab handle, no problem. There was a hole punched in the back of the pack about two inch tear, easy to iron on a sticky patch. It has that used funk smell, but a bath in the sink and some air outside will fix that. One buckle, a small one on the four side cinch straps was missing but you won't hear me complain. And shipping was cheap, Arkansas from CA six bucks? UPS works cheap. INcluding shipping I paid 23 and change.. Nod to Prime Outdoors, Amazon Vendor. There is no tag or manufacturers name on the backpack. Hey, I noticed that there was a slot for the huge padded belt from the main pack. I'm pretty confident that's why they did that. So you can use your better waist belt, heavily padded, from the main rucksack should you have it.

traveled with it to the mideast recently and loved it... more than enough space and very light weight !! when empty, it smashes down to go under a bed.

I'm really surprised by the positive reviews of this bag. This was available at Costco about a year ago and was purchased by me and a number of people I know at work for about 35 dollars. Since then most of these have been replaced. I have ordered a new bag and this one is going right in the garbage.

My usage: I carry the bag from my car to my cubicle every day. From my car to my home office at night. About once a month I have to travel for business and this is my carry on (I'm not traveling commercial so I can't comment on the other reviewer who says this is too large for a carry on. Last time I flew on a commercial flight I was carrying a large messenger bag, bigger than this pack).

The first problem I encountered with this bag was with the rubber/fake leather material used behind the logo and on the bottom of the pack. It wears very easily and mine has several holes in it now. Mostly cosmetic but it made an ugly bag even uglier.

My second problem is the stitching, and this is why I have to give it one star. The stitching is coming loose all over the bag. The mouse and water bottle pockets on the sides are falling off because the stitching is coming out. My coworker had to replace his while traveling because the straps fell off and he could no longer wear it. He is a train commuter so his bag likely went through more stress than mine. But still, I've had timbuk2, northface, and osprey bags that have lasted years (and are still going strong) after much more stress (traveling around the world) and not a thread is out of place. If you don't have good stitching, you just have a pile of fabric.

Very glad I bought this. Full of zippers, compartments, etc. Very spacious--plenty of room for a 3-day trip. Easily fits in the overhead. Very lightweight. Wheels and extension handle work smoothly. Would buy again and/or give as gift. Very satisfied!

This is a beast of a bag, but looks surprisingly well put together there's just enough rigidity to the shape of it that keeps it looking nice even when lightly packed. Holds a 17 inch laptop with plenty of room to spare. If anything, the real danger is that it's roomy enough that it's very easy to overload.

I had difficulty getting this into an overhead on several flights and it was not stuffed above the height of the bag. The duffel can hold a lot and seems very sturdy.

The picture does not make available the fact that the fabric features one of the most desired cosmetic accessories for little girls....GLITTER.

It's roomy, but not necessarily good for taller paper/objects. It has tuck away features that allows you or the child to tuck away the straps to prevent them from getting dirty or damaged when the bag is being rolled. It has a storage pocket on the front and the side as seen in the photo. The wheels also work well and are a great convenience for kids that have too many things in their bag for comfy carry.

My only issue is that my 5 year old was too tall for it to be rolled by her comfortably. The bar does not extend far enough for kids of a certain height. For that reason I would not recommend it for girls that are tall for their age or girls older than five unless you order it to try it out, to see if it is the right fit for your little girl.

BE AWARE: If you do order just to see if it is the right fit, you may have to keep it regardless because your little girl will fall in love with it.
