OGIO Politan Pack (Black)

I found the back very well constructed and thought out. I am able to carry my 15in dell laptop with me without any problems. It will hold a 17 in laptop also. It has plent of extra pockets to carry acessories or other small items. It has sufficient room for notebooks and a couple of books also. I my only issue is I wish the it has pinch more room to carry more books or folders. Don't get me wrong it carries more than most other similar notebook backpacks but I currently have aneed to carry around 2 very thick books and a few smaller books. I just have to carry one in hand on those time sI need both just because i personally feel if I stuffed in the backpack it would apply too much pressure on the notebook and potientially cause harm to it. Other than that it is an EXCELLENT backpack and does not give the outwards appearance of a carrying a laptop so does not draw attention.

This backpack pretty much rocks. It looks good even when crammed with my college textbooks and my laptop. My only complaint would be that the laptop compartment doesn't feel quite padded enough for my 15" Macbook pro. A simple laptop sleeve would ensure ample protection though.

I ordered this bag instead of the Metroid because it wasn't as deep. I'm short and although I can certainly carry the weight of a fully loaded Metroid bag, it makes be hunch over to balance. I think the Politan is built wonderfully and it fits my 14in laptop with expanded 12-cell battery with room to spare; I usually put my geology book in with it. I do think it is a little smaller than I had intended, but it works well for me. It is also distinctive enough that when the professors ask us to place our bags at the front of a (full) three hundred person auditorium, I can spot it easily and no one can steal it.

I chose this beautiful bag to hold my giant size laptop. I had trouble finding one to fit it, but this accommodates the largest laptops with many pockets to spare. I have had this for several YEARS with weekly use, and it still is in perfect condition, so the quality and durability are superior. Timbuk2 Shotwell Backpack

I am a fan of Timbuk2 bags and had high hopes for this backpack, but it did not work out. First disappointment was the color: I ordered the purple/barley/potrero color and thought I was getting a grey bag with purple and brown panels (that's how it looked to me in the website photo). But the color "potrero" is not described anywhere and Timbuk2 (much like Patagonia before them) likes to name colors with locations with no descriptions (the "alcatraz" color is apparently sky blue). Usually this is fine with an accompanying photo, but in this case "potrero" is an olive-green-brownish color which was not to my liking. My husband, originally from San Francisco, said, "Must be named after the Potrero Hill district." Not so helpful to me as an eastcoaster.

Secondly, the pocket location on this backpack did not distribute weight well for me. It's a tall backpack which I know will work well for others but was not what I was looking for with my 5'8" frame. If you put anything heavier than a smart pohone in the outside pockets (like keys and a pocket knife and other small, but heavy items) it makes the outside pocket bulge outwards over the power brick compartment. I also felt the shoulder straps were too close together and rubbed my neck wrong. I won't comment on the sewn-on bottle opener except to say: make it removable.

But the material was certainly rugged and the contruction/zippers, etc. were durable and excellent as always with Timbuk2. I would only recommend this pack for people who are comfotable with the narrow shoulder straps, who want a tall pack that carries very little (don't put weight in the outside pockets) and who are looking for a backpack in earthy & purple tones.

I loved the look and feel of this bag because its longer and can fit a lot as well as being very light. The thing is I felt my laptop was not safe in the compartment even with a case. It doesn't have a hammock to keep it away from the bottom of the bag and no protection on the bottom is available. If you have a really heavy duty case than maybe it would be ok, but my merely placing it on the ground I could see how you could dent up your laptop. It also doesn't have as many pockets as other bags offer, and my water bottle wouldn't fit in the side pocket. Some of the pockets don't open completely. I love Timbuk2 but this bag is lacking their normal attention to detail I would probably try another bag unless you have the correct protection.

I ride my bike or the train to work every day and was looking for a backpack to carry my gear for the commute. I'm really happy with this one and have used it for almost a year now. Timbuk2 is known for their quality and this backpack fits the bill. It's a little taller and more rectangular than square, which gives it a more stream-lined look. It fits everything I need for one day in it and even works well as an overnight bag. The laptop pocket is not well protected, but I keep my laptop in a protective pouch (purchased separately) and that does the trick. I don't carry my laptop every day, so I actually like not having the extra bulk in there. This thing is perfect if you need to carry around:

I got my backpack back when Timbuk2 was having a sale on it, so I got it for $45. I think for this price, it was a great deal as this backpack has proven to be very versatile. I usually use it for school, and it is actually able to carry a great deal. I can fit my laptop, notebooks, books, 32 oz water bottle, food containers, and a sweater in the main large compartment without it looking bulky at all. It has a bottom compartment for the laptop charger, which I find to be a bit small if you just throw the wires in, but if you actually roll up the charger neatly enough, it is definitely enough space. The two zippers in front of the bag is also very useful and is deep enough for smaller things (such as pads, cell phone, ipod, or wallet). My only real complaint is the water bottle holder. It is impossible for me to squeeze my water bottle in (though it is a 32 oz bottle), and I feel that a simple water bottle will also be a bit too snugged. Thus, I use the pocket to carry my keys and phone instead. It is important to note that this backpack is a little bit longer than a typical backpack, though it is not very noticeable when when I wear it. I've read that other owners have complained about this, but it didn't seem to be a big deal when I bought it. What I really love about this backpack is the internal organizer for pens and pencils as it was very well thought out. I used to carry a pencil box to hold all my stuff, but I no longer need it because of this.

Rothco Mossad Tactical Duffle Bag

I ordered this bag to take it on a deployment training. The bag is very large. It was large enough to hold all my clothes, equipment, and the sleeping bag that I needed for the entire 7 days. The material seems like it is pretty good quality and held up well. The bottom of the bag is some type of plastic material and I have some concern of the durability and longevity. I haven't had it long enough to comment on it, but so far I was really impressed with it. If you are looking for reasonably priced tactical duffel bag, then you have just found it.

The design may be good in theory, but the materials and assembly are the cheapest the manufacturer could find. The straps, rather than being nylon or some other strong material, are cheap cotton. Two of them tore on my first use of the bag. One just ripped in two, and the other tore out where it attached to the bag. The handles (also cheap cotton) are starting to tear out as well after the bag's first use! The strap and handle attachment points look nice and strong, but the straps are barely inserted into the gussets. It looks like the stitching holds the straps in a large x-pattern, but in fact only a thin line of stitching holds it about 1/4 inch from the end of the strap. This bag is made to look strong, but it poorly made and not worth the money.

My recommendation is to shop further and find a better duffel bag that is made of better quality materials and assembled with more care. It does hold a lot, but it better be lightweight stuff if you want the bag to survive the trip.

I purchased this bag to replace a cheapie that recently ripped. Although the pictures don't show it, the bag has the following features: a rubberized bottom that would appear to be water-resistant if not water proof; the backpack shoulder straps that you can see hide a cleverly concealed zipper that runs the length of the bag between the shoulder straps and is opposite the rubberized bottom. I was afraid that the bag would be a "top loader" old style duffel bag (which I did not want). Inside the bag there is a concealed zipper pocket and on the outside there are some additional pockets or pouches. They look like they are about the right size for an AR mag, if that gives you any sense of the size. There are also two grab handles on the bag, so you can carry it like a regular bag without using the shoulder straps. Made in India the bag has a pretty potent smell out of the package. Let it air out before use or speed it along with a liberal application of Oust or Lysol.

I plan to take this bag to Europe next summer. The shoulder straps will permit me to load this up like a backpack (and they tighten down just like a hiking bag strap would). I've loaded it up for a weekend trip and plan to give it some hard use this spring. Overall, it is just what I needed!

I bought the bag for my camping trip in Arizona. There are things you have to be aware of.

The price and the design is excellent. However, the material not so. When I received it the bag was folded and because of that the bottom part, which should be reinforced with a durable plastic, was already cracked on several places as well as in one of the corners. I didn't have time to return it so I brought it on the airplane the way it came. After I received it back on the airport in Las Vegas also the cotton fabric was ripped off exactly there, where the hole in the corner was.

I did not have any troubles with the zipper as many were concerned with.

Overall, the shoulder straps were very comfortable, the adjustments were also fine and as I said a good price too. I just wished the plastic on the bottom would be made out of better material. Then it would be an excellent bag. Since it s not I would not recommend it to a friend or anybody else. If you'd like to buy a nice duffle bag look for a Cabela. They seem to be better.

I bought this as a replacement for my 3 year old Swiss pack that the zipper broke. The backpack seems smaller than the other one I had. It does not have enough small compartments for me. I use mine for international travel and keep business cards, hotel cards, memory sticks, money, and other little stuff that I want to keep seperate but accessable. Overall made well and may hold a 17in laptop but it will not be great for a week or two of travel. I like to keep extra stuff in case my luggage is lost. Overnight would be fine. Overall quality seems good but not what I was looking for size and compartment wise. The smaller size might work good for someone else.

I bought 17in Sierra at Costco for $38 (great deal and good quality) that is bigger and has better small compartments for me.

This is a very well made backpack that I got on a goldbox deal for $50.

However, the #1 feature listed in the description above and on the tag attached to the backpack is an "Audio Interface". The card describes this as "internal pocket to secure and hold most MP3 players with an external headphone port".

I've been all over the backpack, but there is not an external headphone port. I also went to the Wenger site and it makes no mention of the "Audio Interface" in the description of this model.

Took away a star due to the bad description but it's not a deal-breaker. Still a very nice computer backpack.

I purchased 4 of these in preparation for a trip to France. It was the ideal size! It comes with 3 separate pockets, 2 closed with zippers that were the perfect size for a passport. The 3rd pocket was closed with velcro at the top and had a mesh pocket that divided it in two. This was perfect for holding money. It was very lightweight and confortable to wear and the adjustable neck strap allowed me to easily set the desired length. I was not disappointed in my purchase and I would strongly recommend it for anyone who's planning on travelling overseas.

I bought this pouch for a music festival. I was worried about losing my wallet, cellphone, or keys out of my pants pockets while dancing around, and this pouch solved that.

I had been concerned that the neck strap adjustment mechanism wouldn't be strong enough to support the weight of all my stuff, but it's plenty strong.

I highly recommend this pouch. It's lightweight, yet incredibly durable (it's made of rip-stop fabric). A few times, I panicked because I thought I had lost the pouch, but it is just so comfortable I simply forgot it was there. There's plenty of room for an entire wallet (though more comfortable to just take out the cards and cash you need), cellphone, keys, pad of paper, pen, and change.

I purchased this item as well as its "worn around the waist" counterpart for a trip to Asia. I actually used this item more often. It fit securely around my neck. The strap was comfortable. It was well concealed beneath even my T shirt. The neck strap was adjustable. If I had my shirt untucked I had the strap longer in order to access it at my waist. If my shirt was tucked in I had it higher in order to pull it out of the collar for access. The only recommendation I have is to place your items in plastic ziplock bags. You will inevitably sweat while wearing this. The sweat will go through the silk into your items if not covered in plastic. It easily held my money, passports, and other important items. It did not set off metal detectors at the airport which was a huge bonus for me. It was also discreet and I never felt in danger of being robbed. Of course, this depends on where you are in the world!

I usually used the 'shoving down the pants' technique if I was in a sketchy area. It shows if you try to use the under the shirt technique. It's a good little purse, and I haven't gotten robbed yet. Olympia Skyhawk 22 Inch Expandable Airline Carry-On

I travel every week for business, so I need a suitcase that is roomy, lightweight, and that is small enough that I never have to check luggage. I replaced a 15 year old suitcase with this and am thrilled! It seems durable (I've been using for two months), has a great look, is easy to maneuver (spinning wheels help), and also has ample room in the main pocket and useful outside pockets the perfect size for your laptop, book, boarding pass, and whatever else you need to take quickly from your suitcase before boarding the plane. I would definitely purchase this again.

I've done a lot of traveling, and have gone through a lot of luggage since the early 80's. And I miss the days of no baggage fees, and having to be so careful of the size of the luggage to not get nailed with another fee when they say "Sorry, that won't fit." Since this one is specifically the size allowed for carryon for most carrier airframes (other than the little prop hoppers probably) that problem should be minimized.

This unit is VERY well constructed. No loose threads hanging out, zippers all feel nice and solid, and the pulls work well and the teeth mesh perfectly. Looks great, and the expandable/collapsable handle works well, lock and all, and feels quite solid when extended. The wheels pivot well and roll well when you're pulling it behind you, but the thing I don't like about them is that it doesn't roll well when tilted and PUSHED rather than pulled. Sometimes as I'm going it's easier to push a piece of luggage in front of me depending on traffic flow, and this one just doesn't do that at all. One of the wheels will stay in the right position to be pushed, but the other won't line up in that direction, and points off, making this thing roll in random directions. So while the wheels work quite well, it's only when pulled behind as designed...

Other than that this is one of the better pieces of luggage I've had as far as sturdiness and flexibility. the carry handle is very thick and well made, the metal bands thicker than most I've seen in this size, and double riveted to the bag itself.

I took this on a trip this week, and had no problems with it fitting in the compartments on a Delta jet, it fit both ways, shoved in wheels first so it was "longest" way to protrude, as well as pushing in sideways when there were not many people on the return flight. Held up great, no scuffs, and the little plastic bag that it comes with for toothpaste and such was enormously helpful going through customs. As was the front zippered section, which is where I carried both my iPad and my son's iPad, so they were quickly and easily removed for the security checkpoints.

So, I recently purchased this bag because I was taking a trip to Vegas and wanted a little additional space than the backpack that I normally use. The reviews for this bag were great and that was what really propelled me to get this bag.

First, about the bag. The bag is wonderful. Extra compartments, plenty of pockets, wheels/handles/zippers all work great.

However, each and every time I went to get on a plane (I had two a connecting flight both ways, for a total of 4 planes), I was asked to check my bag since it didn't fit in the airline approved compartment. The stewardess' on each flight made me place my bag (which was not opened that additional two inches and not "stuffed" by any means) in that mental sizer before boarding the plane. Of COURSE it's not going to fit. (But then again, whose carry-on bag actually fits in there?)

Either way, on 2 of the 4 flights (all Frontier), they took my bag and made me check it. On the remaining two, I was stopped by a stewardess who told me that it was too big. I told her that the bag was sized by American Airlines to fit in the overhead compartment and that it was a carry-on. Admittedly, I was getting a little annoyed by being harassed by this bag since I had purchased it with the intent of carrying on. Seeing much bigger bags be let on is also completely frustrating.

Either way, the bag DOES fit just fine in the overhead bin. Slips right in. However, as the flight attendant rudely told me, "the bag MAY fit in the overhead bin, but it doesn't mean the airline standards of size."

So....I don't know if this is an issue with Frontier or if this is something that will be encountered with other airlines. I will be flying home to Chicago using both Southwest and American Airlines (now if THEY make me check this bag I will have to laugh) so I can update this review when I have experience with other airlines.

The main for buying this carry on was to get a four-wheeled one and the correct size for American Airlines. Unfortunately, the four wheels don't roll as they should. First time in a airport, it did just fine; I was able to have it roll on my side. But after my first flight, it wouldn't roll well on the aircraft aisle. I thought it was the flooring, but the wheels kept wobbling making it impossible to roll it on my side. It looks like the wheels just can't get aligned on the right direction. The only way to roll it was to push it on front of me or drag it from the back. I could understand after many flights this happening, but not before I even got off the plane on my first flight with it! I even tried it again at home, now totally empty, to no avail.

Otherwise, the size is good. There's plenty of room and an additional 2" expansion if you need it. I measured this bag and it measures exactly as advertised. 22" x 14" x 9" (with 2" expansion). I didn't weigh it. It's listed as weighing 9 lbs empty. It didn't feel as heavy though. Even though not designed for it, the front pocket can hold a 13-14" laptop easily (but not a 15"). The quality of the fabric looks good and durable. The side water bottle holder is useful.

Price would be excellent if this rolling bag would roll as it should. (I paid around $63 with Prime delivery included.

I was hesitant to buy a new bag after having a few cheap-ies die on me (usually its the wheels that go first in my experience, especially if you have to do some walking with your bag, to get cabs, and so on).

This was my first amazon luggage purchase, and I was a bit hesitant as there weren't many photos of this particular item (you can look now, I did add a bunch!) and I wasn't familiar with the quality of the product being offered. However once the bag came, I was extremely pleased.

The bag is made of durable material, and has large secure zippers (didn't get anything caught in them, and they are easy to work with). The wheels are very smooth, when walking through the airport, this thing works well being pulled, riding beside you (all 4 wheels down) and even pushed (all 4 wheels, as 2 wheels makes it go wonky -wheels are swivel motion based, so not really for pushing, they will rotate at any slight turns).

So far I have used the bag on 2 flights and it has worked really well, both comfortable to go through security checks with, works well as a carry-on (obvious selling point for me). Not sure why someone complained that this bag was too big for carry-on? I didn't have any issues on Delta flights, even tho one plane was specifically valet, which resulted in my bag being put under the plan as opposed to above my head.

Overall, great luggage, easy to travel with, strong construction (when waiting for your flight, use it as a foot rest while reading, doesn't sag / squish down at all).

This back pack is well constructed and I love the design. Perfect size for preschool and maybe into school depending on what the child needs to carry. My toddler loves it even if it is a little big for him. It holds everything he needs for camp and he cam carry it himself.

I very carefully measured my laptop. According to the interior dimensions listed here, my laptop should have fit into this sleeve. It didn't. Aside from that annoyance, the sleeve was fine. It appeared reasonably well made, and the smell was not unbearable. I returned it due to the size issue, but I assume the faint smell would dissipate in a few days.

The only thing that would have been nice is for it to have a little more room for me to put a charger. I guess thats why people get actual computer bags. Really, thats not even that big of a deal, I just put it in my purse whenever I need it. Overall, like I said, simple but good.

It really is adorable but small. If you look closely, this backpack is 10 inches; some of the other smaller ones are 12. Not sure if the 2 inches makes that much of a difference. My son will still love this. Just too bad that I can't fit a coloring book into it. I really only bought it for him to carry a few toys anyway.

I bought this thinking I could use it for a diaper bag but it's very small (I didn't pay attention to measurements). My son will use it to carry toys around now. I especially liked the fact that it had a side pocket, perfect for a sippy cup but now we will not be using the bag as a diaper bag. Cute design though.

This backpack is cute & stylish. I loved the price & crossed my fingers it'd really fit my 15.6 Dell Insperion. It did! Although it was a snug fit & it was best to leave the laptop out of the special compartment until after I went through airport security. My only wish is: an extra inch width for the laptop part & about 2-3 extra inches length wise. Also, maybe more compartments in the front zippered portion. All-in-all, a great bag at a great deal.

This looks cute but it completely fell apart (two, separate large tears) with two months use and I am not talking heavy use. Most the time all that is in it is my laptop, a few pens, a calculator and two cans of soda. I suspect if you filled it up with textbooks it would fall apart with in a week.

Shipping seemed to have taken a long time, but then I again I was stoked about an upcoming camping trip and was ancy to get my new backpack.

The pack came in a box that was a bit beat up but the pack was wrapped fine and still brand new. It has everything on it from straps to hold your sleeping bag or mat on the back outside, it's big and can hold a ton of stuff while distributing the weight well on your back and hips, the straps on the hip belt are mold-able and the top compartment comes off and turns into a fanny pack. This bag is just awesome.

Athalon Molded Wheeling Detachable Duffel Bag

This bag comes to you with out the detachable duffel bag. The bag that actually has the detachable duffel, is the 21-inch Athalon Molded Wheeling Detachable Duffel Bag. The picture you see is of the 21-inch bag. I am not the first person this has happened to, and I can't believe Amazon has yet fix this error of false information.

This bag was not detachable like it said in the description. I'm wasting money and time

by having to send it back and try to order the graffiti bag which is not the color I wanted.

At least I hope the graffiti back shows up and is actually detachable. I see that some

other reviews were written with the same complaint. Hopefully the Sellers and Amazon

will fix this problem. It's false advertising!!

To be honest, I'm happy with it.

It's made better than I expected it to be. And for me, it needs to be made well. I travel a great deal. I use luggage frequently. And I've found that finding well made luggage isn't easy. And when you do find it, it's pricey. What one finds often when shopping for luggage is eye catching aesthetics, or frivolous cell phone pockets. Or water bottle pockets. But the quality which goes into it's construction is usually marginal, at best.

This item, I was concerned would be the same. What caught my eye about it was it's rugged plastic shell. The entire lower half is the shell. Which is very effective at keeping the contents dry, undamaged and otherwise protected. This was a real plus for me. It's roomier inside than I expected it to be too. The caster wheels seem to be of a suitably good quality. The zippers ARE of a good quality.

I like this bag. I think it will last me several years of constant use. Was it worth the price?

If I can get 3 years of good, dependable use from it before things start falling apart, then I would say yes. And I have a strong feeling I'll get that.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Slim Kit Carryon

The Eagle Creek Pack-It Slim carry-on is an excellent product for those who need to pack light and tight. Keep in mind that the word "slim" is in the name, and it definitely lives up to it. The Pack-It Slim has 3 pockets in each of its folding sections, one of which expands to hold larger items like bottles of shampoo, et al. It has a handy built-in hook for hanging the bag in places where there isn't sink space in which to lay it.

While this bag holds quite a bit, be warned that it might not hold as much as you think...not if you want it to close properly. If the bottom pouch is fully loaded, there isn't enough room to fold the top flap over and attach it to the Velcro strips. Having such limited space has forced me to be creative when packing my toiletry bag. I can't just toss in a full-size bottle of cologne; instead I have to spray some into a smaller bottle in order to get it to fit. The same goes for a travel-size can of shaving creme, or even a normal bar of soap. Eagle Creek might have benefited from a larger "connecting" piece of material between the top and middle flaps, as well as longer Velcro strips in order to accommodate a more fully loaded bag.

The Pack-It Slim is definitely a contender if you're looking for a well-designed, compact toiletry bag. If you're the type of person who likes to pack half of your medicine cabinet, however, I suggest you find something a bit larger.

Above all I find that this is a quality product.

I would like it to be able to close in a better way: It just have two small velcros to close.

So, basically, if it has lot of things inside, it won't be able to close at all.

The system for the hanger is great. It retract so it's not outside when you are not using it.

The interior is very good. Seems to be really durable.

I find that this is great for traveling, it just can carry the things I need when I'm on the road (some shampoo, deodorant, soap, several accessories, etc).

I love this backpack. The only changes I'd make to this bag are lining the interior material with something that is smoother. The material is abrasive and it is difficult to slide things in and out of the bag. The pack could also be about 2-4 inches wider/deeper. It can hold a lot of stuff but when you start to stack books and a laptop the size becomes an issue. Other than that it's comfortable and durable. Perfect for riding to and from work daily.
