The only thing I wish the bag had is an arrangement for carrying a tripod, and therefore it gets four stars. But if you really had to, you could work with some additional straps to secure a tripod using the handle on top, thereby keeping your hands free. If you need a rugged, flexible pack that holds a lot of stuff, this might be your bag. This is a full-sized bag that you can carry on your back. Can't get any better than that! I love the looks of the bag, it's a good color and seems to be very well made. I looked a long time for a bag large enough for everything that I want to carry and this bag has room for everything that I need to take with me. It is missing some of the bells and whistles that you can find on a lot of bags nowadays, but since it's made from a sturdy canvas, improvements like tripod straps can be added with needle and thread.

Coleman RTX 3100 30L Backpack with Laptop Sleeve
I am admittedly pretty rough with my backpacks and historically, most of them seem to wear out in two areas. The first is the stitching where the shoulder strap attaches to the top of the bag (common to most every backpack, no?)and the second is the fabric bottom/under-belly. This bag has held up in these two areas very well for me and are in almost new condition. I am especially surprised because I often keep this backpack under my desk and it is constantly being stepped on, kicked, and being dragged across a rough nylon carpet. These repetitious actions tend to quickly wear through the fabric bottoms of my backpacks... the one that I had before this one had holes in the bottom within 6 months under these conditions.
Other positives are the color... noticeable but not an obnoxiously bright orange. This bag also has a few stripes of reflective fabric on the shoulder straps for safety at night.
The only negative thing I have to say is in regards to the two mesh pockets on either side of the bag. They are not secure (no closures), they are tight and get shallow towards the front of the bag and I think that there could be a distinct possibility of losing stuff if you use them. I also see them as an easy target to get pilfered on a crowded city bus.My Coleman backpack zipper broke on my first attempted use. Coleman Warranty Service was no help since I didn't buy it from a Brick and Mortar store. There is a big reason why these are selling so cheap, "They are Cheaply Made". I will never purchase Coleman products again!!!!

this backpack came and i was expecting a nice quality laptop backpack like i paid for. this backpack simply has a flimsy piece of material for holding yourlaptop, and the zippers are. very low quality. for a $50 ish backpack the quality of the product is very low. the size s also very big. i am only 5'2" but the backpack still seems exceedingly big. i do not reccommending this backpack, you can find a way better one for the price that you are paying.Read Best Reviews of Coleman RTX 3100 30L Backpack with Laptop Sleeve Here

Mountainsmith Spot Recycled-Fabric Daypack
It does have one major drawback, however. Once the shoulder straps are tightened enough, the carrying handle that is connected to the shoulder straps will become taunt and dig into my back quite uncomfortably. Perhaps I am just misshapen, but this is very uncomfortable.
You can put a laptop in it, but not a big one. My 17 inch can fit if it isn't in its sleeve.

Very happy with it. The only detraction is the lack of internal pickets for easy access to cables, power supplies, etc. I needed to use a separate soft caddy for those items, but the pack was more than roomy enough to accommodate it.Read Best Reviews of Ogio Operative Laptop/Tablet Backpack Here
I have come to love Ogio bags after getting one on sale and one for my wife. I have the Flux bag and just wanted more padding in the main compartment and space to put my computer stuff and books. The flux has great shoulder straps with that strap across your neck so you carry it and don't really notice it there unlike most bags with two plain straps you can feel the bag hanging and tugging on your back...Pros:
Bag has firm back padding and nice neck and shoulder straps. It feels like the Flux improved. When you fill it up and tighten the straps you don't feel this bag on your bag, great for traveling or students.
I love the quality and color of the bag, nice pockets for your stuff and nice padding materials in all areas of the bag.
Fits my 15.4 inch Dell Laptop with the num pad on the keyboard, says fits a 17 inch haven't tried but this is a longer 15 inch laptop so it might...
Cons:
If I have to give one, compared to the Flux the more compartments take a little space away from the pocket for your cables and the main compartment but you get much better protection and padding for what the bag is carrying so it's a win loose not a complaint...Produto de alta qualidade superou minhas expectativas. Recomendo a todos está mochila para levar seu notebook com proteção e segurança.

KF Baby Diaper Bag Insert Organizer - 12 x 6.4 x 8 inch, Black
the compartments are very well designed and the sizes fit all of the stuff i have to bring along.I returned it. I found out that the insert will fit larger bags good, but might stick out from open medium size ones. I didn't like that the whole insert is all black, so it was hard to find small objects. Also the pockets are too deep.
I went with SODIALHandbag Pouch Bag in Bag Organiser Insert Organizer Tidy Travel Cosmetic Pocket and can not be happier (sturdy, lightweight, several colors to choose from, easy to wipe, can extend to be bigger, several sizes pockets).

Lowepro CompuPrimus All Weather Backpack (Black)
I travel a lot and, therefore, I lug my camera and computer around quite a bit. I'd always relied on a combination of a Lowepro Stealth Reporter D300 (which is a great camera bag for walking around) and a normal North Face backpack, to carry my computer and My Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 when going on airplanes. This was, however, a bit laboursome and I decided to get a more suitable piece of luggage.
I was looking for a backpack that would accomodate 1) my big telephoto zoom lens, 2) my Macbook Pro, and 3) a couple of extras, like for example a book, some clothing items, or whatever one might need in the course of a travel.
I made a lot of comparisons between different types of bags and finally narrowed it down to two: the Fastpack 350 and this one. In the end, I chose the Compuprimus because it has the Lowepro All Weather cover (which have rescued the day for me before) and a tripod support.
And now: the bag. It is HUGE. I stand at 6'2", and the bag still seems quite enourmous on me (well, perhaps not enourmous, but quite large anyway), which makes it less than ideal for walking around in cities with. I live in Beijing, which, granted, is a very busy and overpopulated city, but it is nigh on impossible to take this bag with me on a 'photowalk' in the city. But then again, that's not what I bought it for, and, I suspect, not what most people would buy it for (why would one, for example, want to lug ones computer around with one on such walks?).
Inside, the camera compartment is big enough to hold my camera with beforementioned large zoom lens attached plus a couple of other lenses, memory cards, cables and cleaning kit. With a bit of will, pushing and swearing, one could also fit in ones flash unit (I usually keep it in its pouch, which makes it a bit bigger, so I keep it in the 'luggage compartment' of the bag). The access to the camera compartment is from the rear, facing towards your back, which not only increases security, but actually also makes it more convenient for you to access your gear without having to put the bag on the ground. There is a small 'hatch' on the right (when carrying the backpack), that allows for easy access to your camera. This little hatch is, however, not as practical as one could've hoped for. The opening is not really big enough for me to pull out the camera quickly or smoothly enough for me to use it. I prefer to get it out the cumbersome way. But that may be me, who is clumsy, and not the bag.
The compartment for storing other things, looks quite small, but will actually hold quite a lot. There's ample room for a book or two (depending on sizes obviously), phone, MP3 gear, a delicious fizzy beverage, and a thin piece of clothing (raincoat or some such thing). It is, however, not large enough to fit your jacket AND something else. There's ample room for stuff needed on a flight or a daytrip. There's also a outside side pocket, that'll take some things if necessary.
The detachable computer sleeve sits in front of the bag, and is, as a piece of kit, very impressive. It can be taken out and used as a seperate bag (will only hold a laptop, though) as it has both a handle and a detachable shoulderstrap. It also has a sunscreen, which makes it possible to use the computer in the field when the sun is shining. However, this feature I haven't used yet. I usually just leave the sleeve at the hotel and use the pack without it when 'on location'.
The backpack is very sturdy, as Lowepro's products tend to be, and you can really feel the quality. Despite being so big and heavy (it's some 6 pounds or so when empty) it sits really comfortably on your back. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment bringing this on a daylong hike. The weight is really nicely distributed on your back and hips, it doesn't seem nearly as heavy once you've got it on. The waistsupport and cheststrap only adds to this feeling, and sits perfectly (on me at least).
It's not a cheap backpack, not at all. But you pay for quality and you get a lot for your money. You can also find comfort in the fact, that some of the proceedings from the sale of this bag goes to help polarbears (a fact that calmed mu initial outrage at the asking price). It's also partially made from recycled plastic, and I, being a large consumer of soda, found that very nice indeed.
In short (well, that's a bit too late now, isn't it): it does what it is supposed to do very well. It takes a lot of gear and keeps it safely protected from the elements and the environment. I suspect that if you are a person of a rather petite build, this bag would be too large, but otherwise it is just large. I will most likely purchase a Slingshot as well, or perhaps a Minitrekker or some such backpack for day to day trekking/walking purposes, but this one keeps my travel needs satisfied, which is no small thing in itself.
I rate it 4.5 stars, the .5 subtraction coming from the slightly clumsy nature of the backpack and the less than ideal 'easy access' flap. I would definitely recommend this to others.i purchased this bag in the winter of 2010 for a trip to tokyo and singapore.
first off, the other reviewers are correct when they say this is a large bag. to offer some additional context, when you bring this bag onto a plane, it won't fit under the seat in front of you unless you remove your laptop from it.
i was traveling with one nikon camera body, 2 lenses, some accessories, a laptop and general travel items (books, sunglasses, passport, food, etc.). the bag held everything i needed.
the product lacks in 2 areas:
-1there aren't enough pockets for anyone who travels.
the pockets within the two main chambers are sufficient, but require you to take off your bag, open a zipper and then open another zipper. there is no "quick pocket" designed for someone who is passing through airport security and needs access to documentation or anything other than their camera.
-2-the bag is designed to lay upside down
in the video, they show how the bag rests nicely on the front part of the bag so you can quickly access your camera. when you do this, you are actually putting all the weight of the bag on your laptop which doesn't make a lot of sense. the laptop sleeve area is kind of exposed and this function of putting all the weight on a laptop really doesn't make much sense.
bottom line:
this is a big bag for travel that will accommodate all kinds of media and stuff.
if you are willing to look past some of the design flaws (lack of pockets, too many straps, and putting weight on your laptop)this is a great weekend bag or on-flight bag that will hold just about anything you need.

Serriously, I didn't know what I was getting myself into.I'll try to organize my thoughts in this. So here we go:
Cons:
*I feel like a turtle when I wear this thing! Really is a bit too big.
*Not a big fan of how open the laptop compartment is. A zipper would have been preferred. Also don't really like the velcro at the bottom of the compartment. It makes the laptop sleeve awkward to pull out.
*The straps to hold in the laptop in the sleeve when you are using the sunshade are thin plastic, and I'm assuming will not hold up very well. After squeezing my laptop in there they are already stretched. Elastic straps would have been wiser to put in.
*Almost impossible to access camera body from the opening in the back. If you don't want to mess up your LCD screen, you'll have have to pull it out through the side compartment, then open the back opening to access lenses, ect.
* All weather cover is hard to get out and awkward to put away. Never purchased a Lowepro backpack before this one, so I don't know if they are all like this, but it seems like the pocket is slightly too small for the AW cover.
*The part of the backpack that separates the top space for misc. stuff and the laptop compartment is curved in a way that it flows into the top compartment. So basically, unless you have it stuffed, there is a bunch of extra space behind the laptop. This really isn't a huge deal, just seems like there was too much extra material used in this area.
*Zippers seem sturdy, but it is a pain in the butt to close them. You have to stuff the section that you are zipping back into the back in order for it to close effectively. Does not make for fast closure.
*Side access for camera is not very camera strap-friendly. Not as bad pulling it out, but slows down putting the camera back, if you have the strap still attached.
Pros:
*This bag is extremely comfortable. The top of the shoulder straps have kind of an awkward part that I can feel in my shoulders, although doesn't seem like it makes that big of a difference in the overall comfort. Just something to get used to.
*The side access is actually pretty awesome. I wanted a bag that had this, and while there are unfortunate things about the design, this was definitely a deal maker.
*Plenty of space for misc. things in top compartment. A couple of books, maybe a lunch, makes it a good day pack (although the size disagrees with this statement).
*I don't think the sleeve was made for 15" laptops. I can fit my 17" in, although it is a smidge awkward, the sunshade makes it worth it. (Ever if I don't use my laptop outside a lot.)
Okay, so overall, there are more cons than pros, for me, but after spending about 24hrs online looking at backpacks over the course of a couple of days, this monstrosity is the closest thing to perfect...unfortunately.
I'm probably just too picky, and that may make me cringe every time I put on this bag. I was looking for something that I'd be able to throw on and cruise around with when I go to festivals and something smaller would have *definitely* been preferred, but like I said, closest thing to perfect. Wouldn't go as far as recommending this pack to someone, but if you can go for the smaller size, do it. (this is the larger of the two, they have one with slightly smaller dimensions.)

This is my favorite camera bag. None of the others I have come close to filling this same role. It's elegantly designed. The amount of space in the top and bottom are just right for many situations. I even went around Europe with this as my only bag for weeks. Clothes and toothbrush in the top, gear in the bottom (I travel light, except for camera equipment!) The back-opening design is really nice in that one doesn't have to take the bag all the way off to get at the pockets. You can sling it around or reverse it, and open it towards your chest. The camera access point on the side is MAYBE a little small, but really well positioned. It's easy to access and stow your things quickly, and the rigid extension tab on the zipper makes it easy to close-it's a tiny detail, but it makes a big difference. It also shows that the designers were wide awake on this one. It's not big enough for all your gear, but if you have a rough idea of what you'll be shooting, you should be fine.
Now, another important point:
I have a number of Lowepro bags. They all serve different functions. They're all really solidly built, and very well designed. They have the occasional SMALL design quirk, but easily they're the best I've used. I really want to mention their customer service. I had a zipper on a bag die a slow death a while ago, and I wrote in about it. They offered to quickly send me a replacement without having to ship in the original. In addition to being a really classy move, it tells me that they take product quality and customer retention very seriously; which is worth a LOT to me in today's market of caveat-ridden warranties. Any company that makes products which they're willing to back so strongly wins my admiration.
Use these bags with confidence. If something goes wrong, they stand behind their products.

I bought this bag for a weekend vacation where I was planning on walking miles and miles with all of my camera gear and some. The portion that holds my camera and lenses is the perfect size for me. In it, I put my 5D w/ grip, 70-200L, 17-40L, 50 f/1.4, 24mm TS-E, and all my hoods/interval meter/accessories. I even have room for another lens if I get one.The tripod holder is perfect for my Mannfroto 055XPro. Keeps it very securely fastened so I don't have to worry about it falling off or knocking into other people/things.
The straps are extremely comfortable. They have tons of padding and the fabric that is used breathes very well. I used it during a heavy thunderstorm, and the all weather cover kept all of my gear dry, even though I was soaked to the bone.
Some people might say it is too heavy, but it is because of the massive amounts of padding in the camera portion.
I love this bag!
PSThe laptop sleeve fits my Lenovo T61p (with extended battery) perfectly.

Dc Comics Men's The Flash Logo Back Sack
It is made of water resistant nylon (which is really great for people who constantly go to the Beach, like I do).
It is very strong and durable as well (I've carried many things, both heavy and light in this sack before).
The strings on the back sack are thick, making the back sack easier for the wearer.
Some back sacks are made with thinner strings, causing the strings to constantly slip off of the wearers shoulders.
The only problem I have with the back sack is that the logo is easily scratched.

Bags for LessTM Sporter Drawstring Backpack, Black
I thought that if I bought a bag with better straps instead of the usual thin straps that are normally found on a drawstring bag that it would last longer.
In my opinion a snowball in hell would last longer than this bag.
The straps are not reinforced at the bottom and so the strap as come away from the bag leaving a frayed hole. The material at the front of the bag is also fraying. He has only taken this bag to school on three occasions now.ordered this for my daughter the backpack itself is fine. I've carried a lot of civilian backpacks and military rucksacks in my day and this bag is great for its size. It's the perfect size to make a 72-hour bug out bag with endless options for pockets and the MOLLE webbing throughout the pack. I also bought the 5.11 Tactical MOAB 10 to use as a quick go-bag with the bare essentials and use the Rush 72 as a larger bag to carry food, clothing, and shelter. Using the Rush-tier strap system, you can dock your MOAB bag to any of the Rush series bags. This is a quality bag that will stand up to many years of abuse.Read Best Reviews of 5.11 Rush 72 Back Pack Here
First, I want to say I bought the updated Rush 72, from Amazon Warehouse deals as "Like New" When I got it, it had the tags, and it was clean but it contained some candles and a love letter. Apparently it was a Christmas gift turned back into Amazon with the gifts and notes inside. So, take note, buying used can produce some interesting results. Now to the review. I have a CamelBak BFM 100oz Black that I have used for camping, a Bug Out Bag, traveling, and for military use. It's comfortable to wear, even with a heavy load of about 35 lbs, assembled in the USA, and made of Cordura, so why buy the RUSH 72? I was curious about it and I wanted to return the BFM to it's original role as a BOB.
So for this review I want to compare the two, so shoppers can understand the similarities and differences between them. So first they both are about the same size about 48L to 51L depending on what advertisement you use, but the RUSH 72 is a little taller. They both are well organized, and both have water repellant capabilities. Now let's look at the differences.
Pleae note, these are tactical backpacks so they are not good at holding books, folders, or computers, though they can do it of course.
The BFM 500:
It's assembled in USA, where as the RUSH is made in Vietnam. Camelbak uses Corudra, and 5.11 Tactical uses standard nylon. They both have outer pockets to hold MREs, Water bottles etc. but the BFM's stick out to the side, while the RUSH 72 are sleeker, going into the pack itself. I personally like the Camelbak's version better. It's easier to insert something in them, and they don't take up pack space. On the other hand the RUSH 72 it's difficult to insert something like an MRE, only cylinder shaped things like bottles fit well. Also, the BFM comes with a water bladder.
The RUSH 72:
It's function and capabilities are similar to the BFM. The BFM has better material, and a lot better craftsmanship (The RUSH 72 has some loose thread, and after seven weeks of use, shows signs of loosening. The Camelbak's threading holds much better in place.) Now, the RUSH 72 has a yoke for the shoulder straps which takes getting use too. In fact the RUSH 72 has a learning curve. You have to get comfortable with the feel of the yoke, and depending on your frame you may have to get used to the feel of the tucked away waist belt poking into your sides. After a while you don't notice them anymore. One thing I like though in the main compartment is that the RUSH 72 has a pocket for holding a laptop computer, or radio. The BFM uses straps instead. One thing I don't really like is the RUSH's spill over compartment. If you have a helmet or something it's good to have, but in daily use it just gets in the way. You have to use all the buckles to hold it down, or it will flop open. This also means it's slower to open, close, and keep stable. It's hard to describe but look at a picture of the RUSH and you'll understand. My solution was to have some Velcro attached to hold it tighter in place.
What's the same?
The water repellant material on both packs works well, but I might have to give the nod to the RUSH. Both packs have been in rain storms, but I would say, using anecdotal evidence the RUSH 72 kept my belongings more dry. Both packs have a rear top pocket. On the BFM it's big enough for gloves, night vision equipment, etc. but it has no mesh compartments for small items. On the other hand the RUSH's top compartment is so small it's useless for gloves, and such items. However it has mesh pockets for holding small items. If only the best of both packs were used to make a big rear top pocket with a nice mesh pocket.
The Verdict
It depends on what you want. For quality it's Camlebak. For military application I like the BFM better actually. The outside pockets hold bulky items better, and the rear top compartment is big and useful. For my civilian travels I like the RUSH 72 better. The inside radio/laptop pocket holds my computer well, and keep it dry, and the rear top pocket with mesh is good for holding my iPod, and other miscellaneous items. The fleece lined eye glass holder is okay, but becomes near useless if the main compartment is full. This bag was worth every penny. I'm USAF Security Forces, and after my last bag (MOLLE 3 Day Military Assault Pack Backpack OD Green) fell apart during my deployment, I decided it was time to look into the names of companies I knew about. That brought me to 5.11, and eventually the 72 pack. I take between 40 and 70 pounds of gear to work everyday, so I need a bag that can withstand punishment, and give me peace of mind knowing that it's not gonna break and send my gear everywhere. After I received the bag, I filled it up, and I still have room for more gear. The nylon feels tough as nails, the handle on the top of the bag feels as strong as they 5.11 claims (2,000 pound breaking point), and it is THE most comfortable bag I have ever carried. Even with my flak vest and LBE on, this bag is still comfortable enough to make me feel like I could ruck for days. The only downside I've come to notice is the tendency for the bag to want to tip forward when I put it on the ground. So, I just attached my IFAK to the lower MOLLE on the front, and fixed the issue. 5.11 came through once again, and this bag has brought me to the conclusion that I will be purchasing anything else I need like this in the future.

KAVU Freeman Backpack
So I ended up returning this backpack though really like the quality. Hope that this one will come out with a two strap version.First day I used this the buckle that holds the strap on wouldn't hold under little force. Only had twos all textbooks, two folders and notebooks and another book in it and neither side buckle would hold. I thought it would be a really cool bag. Maybe this was the only of it's kind, but I don't know why both sides could be this bad...This backpack is still going strong after a years use filled with books and used in a high school environment. The single strap is what the person using backpack requested they like the ease of throwing it over one shoulder.

Duluth Pack Scout Pack Backpack
I usually carry my 14" laptop, charger, day planner, my Klip It 3 Compartment Lunch Cube, a pad of paper, and a pouch for meds in the main compartment; the rest of my small items go in the zippered pocket. With all of this, it's moderately full (i.e. closes on the middle buckle hole), but it's mostly because of the lunch cube's height. WIthout that, I can easily pack a change of clothes for the gym (not shoes). If you pack lightly, you might even be able to use this as a weekend bag (without a laptop inside probably).
Pros:
-One thing I was surprised at was how low it sits on your back even on the tightest buckle setting. It feels balanced just fine; I guess I was just used to cranking my old backpack straps way tight so the pack hung nearer to my shoulders. The pack's cotton webbing straps are very comfortable.
-The canvas is heavy and rugged, and the leather straps, once stiff out of the box, are now becoming supple and easier to get in and out of the buckles.
-This holds a surprising amount for when I need it to, but is small and sleek enough for all the rest of the time. This is key because I didn't want a backpack that made me look like a turtle or was going to knock people over while I commute on the train. The size is perfect without giving me too much space to needlessly fill.
-Minimalist design looks great to me.
Cons:
-Extremely simple internal organization, and no external organization. This will most likely be the determining factor on if you like this pack or not. A lot of people need a home for every gadget they need to carry, and this pack won't do that for you.
-Unstructured pack consequently doesn't hold its shape if you don't have much in the pack to give it structure, nor will it stay open when you lay it on a surface, like a lot of other bags will.
-The bottom of the zippered pocket doesn't hit the bottom of the pack. Because of this, I noticed that if you put too much heavy stuff in the zippered pocket and you don't have something inside the main compartment to give the pack some structure, it will weigh the pocket and the back of the pack down. This looks a little slouchy.
-The opposite extreme is if I pack the bag to close to its max carrying capacity or pack it with bulky items. In this case, if I have too much in the zip pocket, I can't slide that last thing in because of depth clearance issues. However, the saving grace is that the pocket flips to the outside of the pack, which frees up the depth clearance. Then you can load the last items, then flip the zip pocket back into the pack where it rests on top of everything else. The lid then straps down nice and snug.
-VERY MINOR: black canvas, I just found out, attracts lighter colored lint and it can show it fairly easily. I take a lint roller perhaps once a week, and it solves this problem.
Overall, the cons are minor when comparing the pros, which are great build quality, minimalist styling, and a design that keeps you from looking like a turtle. If you need a simple pack that you can take anywhere for fairly light excursions, then you will not be disappointed with the Scout Pack. Two thumbs way up.First off, I've been very happy overall with my Duluth Pack. It hasn't given me any serious difficulties and has over all been incredibly useful. There are a few outstanding features:
1. Great canvas and leather construction. I can swing this thing around and throw it on the ground and kick it, and there is no problem with integrity. So far I have taken it to school full of books all semester, and then to a convention, and used it for everything from board games to boots and it's held up fantastically.
2. Tied to that, it's very easy to clean. Just use a damp cloth or even a light scrub brush like a nail brush for flecks of mud. The canvas is nice and sturdy and holds up well and doesn't discolor.
3. It's very understated if you get a neutral. I got this pack partly because I saw one of my fellow teachers carrying around one of those sporty looking mesh backpacks and thought, secretly, that it looked pretty unprofessional. Handcarrying a briefcase is almost impossible when one of your textbooks weighs about 10 pounds, so a backpack is necessary but I really prefer this rugged, grown up looking pack to the neon and polyester variety.
4. It's very secure. You can zip your wallet right into the little interior pocket, buckle the straps and nothing will fall out. Heck, even if you don't buckle the straps, as long as it isn't stuffed, you're in pretty good shape. I like the somewhat deconstructed style here, not super boxy, but it really doesn't just collapse like a sack either.
In terms of issues with the bag, I have three. One is that one of my straps didn't have the leather properly and completely treated, so it had ripples and irregularities. Not really worth fussing over, but noted. Secondly, the back straps are initially QUITE long and you will have to either take them to a cobbler and have them trimmed or do it yourself. I did it myself and so far no issues, but I'm keeping an eye on them. Lastly, and not really a fault of the bag, but as a black canvas it does attract some light colored lint. Lint roller generally does the trick but you have to be pretty consistent if you want a nice clean presentation. On the other hand my black cat's fur doesn't show up at all, so win some, lose some.
I would definitely get this backpack again if given the choice. I will update this review after a year or so and note whether or not it holds up.

I got this for my son and he likes it a lot. Besides that he looks really good with it on!Duluth has poor customer service! When I ordered a scout pack, the rivets broke in less than a week. I put in an order to have a different bag sent. However, they sent this rotten scout pack back to me, despite that I did not want it. They made some excuses about how the orders on the computer do not connect with the packages that come to their warehouse. Then Duluth went on to say how that it was was my fault and they were innocent for blindly sending this bag back to me, when in fact a rep by the name of Kaci did not follow through with the subsequent order and ignored my request.Saturday, August 10, 2013
SOLO Oversized Rolling 17" Laptop Case
(1) the main one which opens widely for easy access (has a separate area for laptop which then closes with velcro strap to keep it safe) and is quite large for files and 2 large pockets for cord, mouse, etc. (2) a large divided compartment for file folders, books, etc. (3) another compartment for files with pockets for accessories, pens, credit cards, note pads, etc. and (4) a large front zippered area for your plane tickets, book, wallet, etc. If you don't have many files, the main compartment could hold a change of underwear and toiletries and bottled water, snacks, etc.
This case should probably not be designated as an "overnight bag" unless you have nothing else in it except the laptop. It is very substantially made with a long telescoping handle which tucks away smartly inside a zippered opening. It also has 2 strong carrying handles to carry onto the plane.
If you travel a lot, this is definitely a great bag which fits easily into the overhead. Couple this with a small overnight bag to tuck under the seat, and you won't have to stand in line (or pay a fee) for checked luggage. This travel case met all of my needs, plus my 17" HP laptop fits into it very easily. It is well constructed and has plenty of room for all my stuff. It also fits underneath the seat on a plane so doesn't have to be put into the overhead. It is just wide enough to be able to be pulled up the center aisle if a plane, but if 1/2" wider would have to be carried aboard.

A well designed sturdy case. Although not described anywhere the outside is a reinforced durable black fabric heavy duty zippers, and is good looking. It has a generous amount of storage capacity not only for a laptop but for other goods or a small change of clothes and a bathroom kit for an overnight stay. The only improvement would be to have the fabric a bit more water repellent, but you can take care of that yourself with some Scotchguard.Read Best Reviews of SOLO Oversized Rolling 17" Laptop Case Here
I am very satisfied with the construction and design of this case. I wanted a case that would make it easier when traveling through airports and this wheeled case fits the bill. The interior is well designed and has enough room to pack files and associated office items. The case has a stable footing and does not tip when loading and unloading the computer. The laptop sleeve makes removal and storage of the laptop fast and easy. I was considering replacing my laptop with a smaller, lighter unit, but now I will keep the 17" unit, which I prefer due to the larger display. I have used this case for about a month now, and have had no problems. This bag is made really well, it holds a ton of stuff...even my lunch bag fits inside! The wheels are made to last, very durable! It's an organized person's dream...with more pockets and compartments than any other bag I've seen...I think you'll be happy with it!
