My daughter loves Thomas The Train. This is the perfect size for her to pack around her books and toys. Has a horrible plastic smell that is just going away (we've had it for four months). Sturdy materials and the zippers all work well. The front pocket is tiny, only big enough for one hotwheels or little doll.

Pros:

This is a very comfortable pack. The shoulder straps are well padded without being too bulky. The ventilated straps seem like a good idea.

The embossed top pocket gets a lot of use, whether it?s to hold my Garmin 500 before a ride, compact camera, or sunglasses. The material is supposed to be safe for these surfaces.

The area zip divider separates stinky and dirty items.

For a smaller pack, the fact that it has an adjustable yoke is a big bonus. Added with the two torso sizes, it?s easy to achieve a very comfortable fit.

The whistle chest strap buckle is a thoughtful feature.

Cons:

One area where the pack could be improved are the side pocket compression straps. They don?t really do the job well of holding anything down. They are too low and thus don?t wrap around the neck of an MSR fuel bottle (maybe the really small one) or water bottle. They will bounce out.

The chest pocket will hold an iphone (maybe not the taller 5) or other similar sized smart phone as long as there is no protective jacket. If you use one, it will not fit. It does however work well for holding a gel flask.

Elastic cord on face would also be great for attaching a lightweight jacket or long sleeve jersey when temps rise. The netting isn?t very large and doesn?t expand enough.

Hip pockets could be a little bigger. Maybe they are on the large, but mine (s/m) basically hold a small headlamp, my mini Griptilian knife, emergency fire starter and gel pack. Not being big enough to fit a small camera or GPS (eTrex size) is my main gripe.

Other than that, I really enjoy using this pack. A large chunk of its use is as a commuter pack. But I also love it just as much on day hikes or overnight trips. The tool organization pouch with pump sleeve is great, and for those with a Raptor series pack, is the same setup. My purpose for buying this pack was for some overnight bike packing and I really look forward to testing it out in that situation.

I would agree with the other reviewer that the ventilation does not breathe as much as you would like to believe. This doesn't bother me as much as it's designed as (for bikepacking) and used mostly in cycling situations and you're going to sweat anyway. If you want a day hiking bag, there are plenty of others that are geared more towards that application.

I purchased this backpack for use during day hikes as well as for use as a two or three day pack. Overall this is a great backpack. The main compartment can be separated into an upper and lower compartment or the divider can be unzipped to provide a single large compartment. The shoulder straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. The same goes for the waist straps. I had no problem carrying it around for a three hour hike and felt I could walk all day with it wothout noticing the weight. I ended up returning it for two reasons.

First there is nowhere to attach additional items, such as a sleeping bag, on the outside of the pack. Some additional loops or straps on the top and/or bottom would have been great.

Secondly, the mesh and padding that go against your back are supposed to allow air flow to keep you cool. What I found is that with the pack adjusted snugly the sides press against your back and do not allow any air to enter or exit. After 10 minutes of hiking on a cool day (10 degrees celcius) my back was soaked with sweat while the rest of my body was comfortably cool.

Pros:

Main compartment can be separated into an upper and lower compartment or left as a single large compartment.

quite rugged and durable construction.

Easy to organize and access equipment. Lots of storage space.

Comes with it's own rain cover.

Very comfortable to wear, weight wise, for long hikes.

Pockets on the shoulder (1)and waist straps(2) are handy to carry small items such as a cell phone, compass, flashlight, whistle etc.

Has lots of adjustments to allow for a great fit.

Cons:

Lack of additional straps or loops to attach external items (sleeping bag etc.).

Poor ventilation for your back.

The pockets on waist strap are easy to access but difficult to zip closed while wearing the pack.

The mesh on the back has no way to gain access behind it so it will be difficult to remove any dirt or junk that may get in there.

Overall:

This is a good pack. If you do not need to attach additional items on the outside or if you do not overheat easily, as I do, then this pack is definitely worth checking out. I would love to have kept the pack myself but the two issues mentioned above were just a deal breaker for me.

Incase Nylon Campus Pack

I went with the campus incase because of the reduced price compared to the original one. Delivered in less time than I thought. Generally great large interior for my laptop (13in blackbook) but the pockets tend to let all the items shuffle to the bottom... significant items like my ti graphing calculator, comp. power adapter, headphone case all bunched at the bottom making it difficult to get my books in and access the lower front pocket on the outside. Good bag but perhaps the larger size and deeper body need more delegation of space.

Use this for daily school commuting. Holds my laptop, tablets, a book (2-3 inches) and a folder for paper, and i still have room for my chargers and other necessities of daily school work

All in all, this is a very good bag. Being a business student, I primarily use my Mac for everything, eliminating the need for a heavy-duty bag with pockets galore. The cushioned supports in the straps and the back are both the highest of quality that I have ever seen or used. The feather-like support that Incase provides is the same as in the Incase MacBook Pro sleeves, meaning that your Mac (or PC) will be well-protected. I mentioned that it is a snug fit with the sleeve, which it is but can also be a pro because it ensures that the laptop will not move while walking.

I have yet to have any contents that I keep in the small inner pockets fall out onto the floor of the main compartment as others have said, but it is possible. The straps for length adjustment (how high or low it sits on your back) are not rough like on other backpacks; these are really smooth. As a result, I have noticed that they slip to different lengths if I am not careful. I used to use a heavy-duty bag from my days with a much larger laptop and that bag did not heat up like this one does -so I just may be new to this in that regard.

I've been using this as my main bag for work for the last 5 months or so.

1. There is no padding at the bottom (or top) of the laptop compartment. None. Just thin nylon fabric between your laptop and the ground. This seems stupid, since don't you usually drop your laptop bag on the floor upright? The padding material at the sides isn't attached to the back of the bag, so the padding can drift slightly inside the nylon fabric sleeve and not protect the corners that well either.

2. The laptop compartment isn't snug and fitted to a 15" MacBook Pro the way it appears in the pictures. It's quite huge, this may be a positive if you have a much larger laptop. I estimate that you could fit almost a 2-inch thick laptop in there, to give you an idea of how oversized it is. There's plenty of padding between the laptop and your back, but only a flimsy bit of nylon padding (not the "furry" stuff like in the back) between the laptop and whatever's in front of it. Anyway, when I drop my backpack from a foot or two up I don't feel like my computer is well protected--I can hear it hit whatever surface due to the lack of bottom padding. A big step down from my old Timbuk2 laptop backpack that I used for the last 6 years.

3. Also the "iPad" sleeve inside provides zero padding and doesn't even stop it from bouncing around, it's just a very big, thin fabric pocket. And make sure to face your tablet's screen toward your laptop because...

4. The pen pockets are also sized for people who carry around dry erase markers and those giant sharpies people use for graffiti. Regular pens would just fly out of these.

5. So if your bag is not held upright at all times, your iPad and laptop can slide "up" (due to it not being snug or fitted at all) and can then be scratched and marred by your pens and any other items in the main compartment.

6. The straps of this bag are very wide and flat and stiff and look really cheap.

7. The zipper catches all the time on the flap that covers the zipper. It hasn't seemed like it's about to become jammed up, just inconvenient when I don't have two hands available to zip carefully.

8. Very, very lightweight. This may be a positive for you but it doesn't seem like it is very sturdy.

Recommendation: I would purchase a different bag. There is one called Belkin Core Laptop Backpack that I've seen on here that looks a lot sturdier and nicer, and is seven bucks cheaper at the moment. Do not ever consider buying one of these Incase Campus packs at anywhere close to their sixty buck retail price, it is really a thirty dollar bag that is really pushing it even at forty.

Incase makes great products, but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the bag. It feels extremely thin and makes me nervous about putting a laptop in it to carry around. With that said, though, it is a stylish-looking bag and gets the job done.

Case Logic ZLCS-117 Check Point Friendly 17-Inch Laptop Case (Black)

When I first got it I was really looking forward to the check point friendly feature. I travel a lot and bought this bag specifically for this function. While passing through a checkpoint in JFK International Airport just yesterday (16th March), I was refused when I left my laptop in the bag split open as instructed. When it went under the scanner I was instructed to do it over, and this time take it out the bag. I tried to explain how the bags works but it was futile. This also happened in two other airports in two different countries recently.

Another thing i noticed (which was kind of annoying) is that the same zip that splits the bag in half keeps opening up a little when its on one shoulder. I think it should have some kind of hook or something in the new design (if it's going to have one obviously)

On a lighter note it looks professional and neat without all those straps hanging everywhere like other brands. It feels durable when you hold it but it didn't get a long usage test yet.

Oh yes... I like this! But let's first put it into perspective, this isn't a magician's case. You're not going to get more than a day's worth of wearing apparel (and it had better be business casual apparel as well) inside along with your laptop and other techie stuff. But for a single overnight trip, this is by far the best marriage of utilitarian design with style that I've seen. The size of this even makes it a suitable option for those flights where fate (or traffic) has put you in the very last boarding group and "under the seat" is the only option for a carryon.

I won't get into the discussion with regards to the accuracy of TSA-friendly etc., as it's always been my experience that the TSA folks can be just as picky as they want. But it is convenient enough to pull the computer out and place it back in after passing the x-ray.

Actually, I can see a lot of people just using this as something of a mega-briefcase. You know the ones; the sales people with loads of brochures, the lawyers with tons of papers and the office jocks that have to tote along their softball or gym clothes.

Only time will tell as to the durability of the Caselogic 17 incher, but my inspection can't find any noticeable flaws or cut corners. I suspect this will last me for some time to come.

From what I seen, personally.. The item felt very sturdy, strong, and it was a nice size. It had a lovely laptop case that fit perfectly inside, also had tons of zippers in the front. He explains a lot in the video. He used the item a couple times. One time he flew with the item, when he went to Texas. The airport did ask him to take the laptop out of the slot, but he didn't have to open the bag that the laptop was in. You understand? (he explained this to me since I question him about these things, so I can review them)

I work at a university and need to transport various papers and sometimes bulky textbooks. I wanted a backpack to replace what I used to carry: a Land's End briefcase and a separate laptop bag. In buying a backpack, my criteria were:

1) My 13-inch MacBook must fit. It does, no problem. It can hold a substantially larger laptop, but I'm not sure how large. There's a lot of space around my laptop though. The padding is substantial and seems to be adequate.

2) I wanted the backpack to look neat without a lot of straps and stuff hanging loose and no open external pouches. I wanted it to be as streamlined as possible. This one is. About the only thing hanging loose are the zipper pulls, but they're really quite inconspicuous. I like the velcro thingies that keep the excess shoulder strap wrapped up and out of the way. I think I would rather carry a briefcase in a more formal business situation, but this could work in a more casual business setting.

3) I wanted a backpack that could carry all my stuff. It has a fair amount of carrying space for stuff besides the laptop. A lot of pockets in a few compartments. In the main compartment, I carry some folders, maybe a textbook or two, some small stuff and my lunch. One thing that I would have liked different would be one or two more small interior pockets at different heights. As it is, the small stuff tends to all drop to the bottom of the backpack. If the small stuff were spread out more, the backpack could be a little flatter and stuff would be more accessible. That's just a minor preference though and not a major complaint. This backpack can't carry ALL of the stuff that I used to carry in my briefcase and laptop bag, mostly because my lunch would take a beating, but I probably hauled around too much stuff before anyway. This backpack has a lot of space in it though and it really is well-designed.

4) I wanted it to be well made. Overall, the backpack is well constructed. The zippers are sturdy and stay closed. I don't see any apparent weak spots in the construction. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and comfortable. The material seems to be very strong. The single carrying handle on top is adequately padded and appears to be sturdily attached.

I have not flown with this yet so I have not tried out the butterfly feature that supposedly lets you run it through security without taking out your laptop, but the mechanism is nicely designed and quick to use and it would be extremely convenient if the security people let you do it. It would be easy enough to remove the laptop if necessary, so it's not a big deal. A couple of the smaller compartments are very easy to access and would be nice for grabbing boarding passes quickly when whipping through the airport. The flap that lets you slip the backpack over the pull handle of a carry-on bag is nice too. This backpack would be great to travel with. I would use a regular carry-on bag for clothes and all to be stuffed in the overhead bin, and this backpack would be the bag I keep with me and stow under the seat.

When I was shopping for this backpack, the only reviews I found appeared to be for a very different bag, so many of the comments do not apply to this backpack. I am not sure, but I suspect that this is the next generation of the CLBS-116. Some of the comments about that backpack do not apply to this one. For example, I have never had the side zippers for the butterfly feature creep open inadvertently. Someone complained that the CLBS-116 has no opening for headphones to fit through. The ZLBS-116 has no dedicated headphone opening either, which is fine with me. I'm sure I could run the wire through one of the zippered openings if I really wanted to.

Overall, I'm very happy with this backpack. I would buy it again and I recommend it.

UPDATE: I flew from Minneapolis to Orlando and back in early January, 2012. At both airports, I was able to use the butterfly feature and leave my laptop in the backpack when I put it in the scanner. That was nice. Unfortunately, I was so distracted by whether they would gripe about the laptop that I forgot to take out my liquids, so they pulled me aside and searched my suitcase. But not my backpack, so that worked. The backpack is still holding up very nicely. No wear or tear, other than some minor loose fuzzies on the outer edges where it sometimes rubs against things. But that is a cosmetic issue that can be easily remedied and it doesn't affect the structure or function of the backpack. I would still buy this backpack again and I still recommend it.

The true test of this roller was taking it to India, loaded with my laptop, documents, clothes, and shaving set. It took a beating, and it never failed. I was uber-excited to find this bag online. It shipped really quickly and looked really cute. The zippers catch easily and from day one I was afraid they would break, however the straps beat them to the punch. I didn't even get to use this bag for a full week before both straps started to separate from the bag at the top of the backpack. I only ever carry a couple of notebooks at a time, so the load wasn't heavy by any means. I did have a history book in there one day, but when it comes to history books, mine is on the lighter side. I have sewn the straps back on and I hope they hold, but the material isn't really meant to be re-sewn, so only time will tell... I wish the bag had been better made since it is so adorable, or that the price had been lowernearly $40 is too much for a bag that can't be used.

Two days after I posted the above portion of this review one of the straps snapped off the bag and the zipper on the front pocket broke.

This backpack is super cute, seems to be decently well made. I don't think it will fall apart any time soon. HOWEVER I am embarrassed to carry it around and open it because of the nasty smell that it has. It's pretty fishy. I've been steadily trying to get the smell out and haven't been terribly successful. I bought this backpack for college and I love it. It holds all my binders and my laptop. People say the seams rip and that the bag is cheap but I disagree. I have had this backpack for a while now and it has not ripped on me at all. The seams are still in perfect condition and I have a lot of stuff in my backpack. Of course if you buy for a child it might rip and tear more easily but if you take care of it, it will stay in great condition. Great backpack for the cost.

Then next best trail running pack with this many features is almost $100 more (Salomon S-Lab) and the MTR has more volume! Fully loaded there was definitely some noticeable bounce but I had my overnight kit stuffed in there. A full GoLite Shangri-la 3 tent, sleeping pad, a bit of food, water filter (sawyer squeeze) etc. trekking poles lashed to the side right and a 20 oz water bottle in the side left side pocket. So, yeah I expected some bounce. The pack itself is feather weight. The material is translucent and probably not very durable. Having it filled to capacity I could the seams being stressed. Overall very high quality craftsmanship though.

Fit was acceptable but could be dialed in better with sizing variation (s,m,l),this probably keeps the cost down. Right now it is a one size fits all pack. I'm on the smaller side (64in/135lbs) and I tightened the shoulder tension completely. The chest strap provided good tension but the design would benefit from the second sternum strap that comes equipped on the 7 liter smaller version. The hip belt actually sits above the navel and is not padded. It did help stabilize the load but I think the 2nd sternum strap would have improved the pack fit and bounce more.

The shoulder straps have multiple pockets. There is a bottle holder on the right, though what size bottle it was made for I have no idea. It cannot fit the typical 20 oz bottles without serious effort. I would be afraid of ripping the material. The left side has a built in whistle and a mesh pocket that is perfect for a cell phone. There is a volume expansion zipper on the main body of the pack, a feature that you see on many suitcases, that allows you to cram those high volume items in (rain fly/tarp)without stressing the light weight material too much. Also on the back side of the pack behind the super plush padded mesh back panel (best back panel ever!)is where the hydration sleeve is. The sleeve will easily fit a 3 liter hydration bladder and there is a clever way to route the tube under the shoulder fabric and a nice Velcro piece on the shoulder to keep the tube in place. FYI this is obviously a frameless pack.

The MTR 201 is definitely a niche product. Great for UL backpackers out for only a single night or trail runners out all day or overnight unsupported. I can see myself using this as a day pack when out with my 3 year old on a picnic/day hike but mostly for one night of fastpacking, or a stage race.

Loses a star for fit/bounce, hipbelt, and no 2nd sternum strap. The option to remove the hipbelt when not in use would be nice.

I purchased 4 of these in preparation for a trip to France. It was the ideal size! It comes with 3 separate pockets, 2 closed with zippers that were the perfect size for a passport. The 3rd pocket was closed with velcro at the top and had a mesh pocket that divided it in two. This was perfect for holding money. It was very lightweight and confortable to wear and the adjustable neck strap allowed me to easily set the desired length. I was not disappointed in my purchase and I would strongly recommend it for anyone who's planning on travelling overseas.

I bought this pouch for a music festival. I was worried about losing my wallet, cellphone, or keys out of my pants pockets while dancing around, and this pouch solved that.

I had been concerned that the neck strap adjustment mechanism wouldn't be strong enough to support the weight of all my stuff, but it's plenty strong.

I highly recommend this pouch. It's lightweight, yet incredibly durable (it's made of rip-stop fabric). A few times, I panicked because I thought I had lost the pouch, but it is just so comfortable I simply forgot it was there. There's plenty of room for an entire wallet (though more comfortable to just take out the cards and cash you need), cellphone, keys, pad of paper, pen, and change.

I purchased this item as well as its "worn around the waist" counterpart for a trip to Asia. I actually used this item more often. It fit securely around my neck. The strap was comfortable. It was well concealed beneath even my T shirt. The neck strap was adjustable. If I had my shirt untucked I had the strap longer in order to access it at my waist. If my shirt was tucked in I had it higher in order to pull it out of the collar for access. The only recommendation I have is to place your items in plastic ziplock bags. You will inevitably sweat while wearing this. The sweat will go through the silk into your items if not covered in plastic. It easily held my money, passports, and other important items. It did not set off metal detectors at the airport which was a huge bonus for me. It was also discreet and I never felt in danger of being robbed. Of course, this depends on where you are in the world!

I purchased this before going abroad. It's quite small, I was able to fit my passport, my credit card, and some cash in it. I usually used the 'shoving down the pants' technique if I was in a sketchy area. It shows if you try to use the under the shirt technique. It's a good little purse, and I haven't gotten robbed yet. The little zipper pulls stick to the velcro though, and the cord is beginning to fray. It's a cheapie, but it works.

It really needs to be mentioned in the product description that this backpack is made of mesh fabric. You can kind of tell if you look at the enlarged views, but I just thought it was a pattern on the fabric. If you intend to buy an all mesh, transparent backpack, you'll probably like it a lot more than I do.

See-thru mesh and lightweight allows for storing vacation extras, as long as they are not too heavy. Picture is decieving as the bag is mesh knit that you can see-thru.

We bought two of these to use for snorkel gear and beach toys on a recent cruise they worked great. Our 9yo son carried one, I carried the other, and am glad to report no problems at all. They were durable and we were able to fit a LOT of stuff inside them we use the "shorty" type of fins and were able to fit a pair of those along with two snorkels and two masks in one backpack, along with other assorted stuff. Highly recommended!

I love this bag! Multiple pockets and very breathable. The whole thing is mesh, so it's see through but works really well to carry my swim stuff in. I plan on using it to carry around my wetsuit when it gets warmer to swim outside.

I bought this for my fall semester and it has been pretty great. It worked well with my laptop and books and I love the pattern inside. I turned the iPod/phone holder into a pen and pencil one by pinning it smaller, this change worked well for me. This backpack basically looks new after 3 months but I still wish it had a longer warranty because I feel one year is too short. The paded straps are pretty comfortable except that they are very scratchy and if you wear them with a sleeveless shirt it is basically painful. This was annoying and I never got used to it, it was also hard to get around this issue but I basically had to adjust my wardrobe for class days.

Cute backpack but super overpriced. Lining on inside is a red plaid, which is a nice touch and the lap top pouch is very handy. Front zipper broke after first use while I was using it on vacation. Bummer.

Dakine Small Campus Pack

I was worried the 'small' one wouldn't be large enough when I bought it. Turns out, it is exactly the size I was looking for. It fits a 13" macbook and everything you need to carry around as a theoretical physicist in grad school without looking bulky. The base is not large enough to stay upright without support, so you will have to lean it against something, but I guess that's not unusual for a backpack.

I was looking for a small-ish backpack that would hold my 13" MBP. Because of the small selection of cool backpacks that meet this requirement in my country I opted to buy online (which was arduous) After searching I singled out Dakine as the my preferred brand of choice, and it turned out to be a great one.

Amazon were the only ones which would sell it to me internationally, good quick delivery etc etc

The bag is amazing, low profile, great amount of space, cushioned laptop sleeve. Not to many little unusable spaces; seems like they designed it specifically for me. Its strong, feels good when walking around (although with a laptop and lecture books it can be a bit heavy being denim and all). The straps are sturdy and mummy says that the stitchings all good on them (yay). I got the denim one cos I thought it looked the best but all of them were pretty snazzy, Dakine know how to make nice looking bags.

Two issues with it I stained the demin when i left one of my red biros without a lid in it, now the denims blood stained looking. oh well. Secondly, the laptop sleeve isnt really that well fitting for my small laptop so I put my laptop in one of those padded case thingies before i put it in, unfortunately the case has a zip that catchs on the bags interior material whenever i pull it out, hence some not so nice rips in my new bag. *sigh*

All in all its perfect for me and I can't see anyone have the same problems as I did. Its pretty awesome having a bag no one else at school has because they don't sell them here. Hopefully use it right through college and Uni. If not then id happy buy another one

Great backpack. I had something like this in mind and it came to life with this product! Small and compact, which I like, yet holds a good amount of school books and slim laptop. Nice look and color. My only complaint really are the extremely long straps on arms which look out of place and excessive. Other than that amazing!

I have twin boys who just turned 1 last week and a 4 week old girl. The diaper bag I had for a year lasted just that. This new diaper bag is a dream compared to what I had before. Lots of room for 2 different kinds of diapers, clothes for 3, and the wipes compartment is great. I use the pacifier compartment for snacks for the boys. The bottle compartments does keep the milk cold. I also use the other side for a bottle as well.

Pros: I bought this bag because of the neat pockets. The organization of the bag is great. I love the insulated pocket, which I can fit two sippy cups into. I like the wipe container and pocket, but the hole in the pocket doesn't quite line up with the lid of the container (though I swear it did before I took the container out to fill it with wipes). I like the external diaper pad pocket and the pad. All the things you don't want to have to dig to get to are right on the outside accessible. The other pockets are also nicely laid out, and useful. Even the inside area is nicely organized.

Cons: The construction is poor. The material is nice enough, but it is just poorly put together. Like I mentioned, I can not get the wipes container to line up correctly in its pocket anymore. I walk with the baby everywhere, so the really annoying thing is the way the shoulder strap twists and moves as I walk. The main issue with that seems to be the metal rectangular strap connecters combined with thin (cheap) strap material on the bag side.

Overall, this is a good bag, but I wish the great design aspects had been followed up with great construction techniques and materials.

I just got this bag and I have never been so excited!! My sister in law got it and once I saw it I had to go get it in a different color! (she got the brown and green one.)I had an expensive stylish diaper bag although it was pretty it was not practical! I would loose my stuff in there... you could not see things, it was a semi organized black hole.I bought it because it was sylish and had good reviews but It drove me nuts for the last 6 months; I would think I had it organized, wrong... This however, is Organized and Super Large! It fits EVERYTHING and more! I can fit 2 full sized bottles in the bottle cooler part! Tons of wipes in the wipe container!! several Nuk's in the zipper pouch plus meds, nail clippers, nose sucker, teether, etc in the flaped pouch where Nuk's are labled... So amazing!! And the inside, WOW! The opening allows you to see EVERYTHING you have in there easily!! It has mulitple mesh pockets all along the wall of the inside to hold and organize smaller and medium sized items too! VERY PRACTICAL!!

Which is VERY Similar to this one... Amazon does not seem to have itI got it at Baby's R Us for about $40. It is not a Messanger style which is one of the biggest differences... the one I got does have the bottle cooler on the outside, as well as the wipe pack and the Nuk pocket, however it opens supper wide at the top and is a zipper closure. It is an amazing bag... This one looks like it is very similar to it but in the messanger style... :o)

This bag holds quite a bit and is stylish. Love the little pictures on the tabs to tell me what is where. The wipes case is hard to open while in the bag, I usually end up taking it out. Overall great bag, would recommend!

Before I registered for this product for my baby shower, I did look it up at a local store. I was impressed by the quality of the product even when compared to high-reviewed diaper bags. I love the red printed inlay for the bag and the spaciousness + appreciate the "tags" for each compartment. My wipe box also works pretty good. However I've noticed that when I fill or empty the bag of baby clothes, blankets, they invariably get stuck in the Velcro used for the messenger flap. I had a Knit blanket almost ruined. I might remove them and put in a magnetic closure instead. But otherwise, a highly recommended product!

Update: the Velcro ruined my expensive sweater the third day I used the bag. I wanted to love this product so much, but returned it.

JanSport Driver 8 Core Series Wheeled Backpack

As a graduate student suffering from back problems, I was very particular about the backpack I wanted to buy. This bag is very sturdy, easy to maneuver and fits everything I need, i.e. computer, books, water bottle, etc. JanSport knows how to make a great product and I would recommend this bag to anyone.

All throughout high school, I used roller backpacks like these. They were made by Olympia and I would have to replace them every year. This was primarily because the wheels had two spinner things and all sorts of junk would get stuck in there, and if that didn't happen, the wheels themselves would just wear out.

This bag by JanSport, however, has been really awesome so far. It has two pretty sizable wheels that have good traction, and should stuff get wrapped up in there, it doesn't affect the way this bag handles in the least.

Another handy feature is it's handle. Before, I would have to fight with my bags because I would have to physically press down the handle if I had to climb stairs and whatnot, and often times it would just get stuck. Not fun at all. With this JanSport bag, you just press the button and there's no fighting back.

Also, my laptop fits well in the inside pocket provided it (Compaq Presario V3000). Exactly what I needed.

This is a great rolling backpack. I can fit 30 pounds of books in it and still roll it easily. It has good stability and plenty of pockets for my belongings. It also holds my laptop well and has padding to protect it. The downsides: It does not have little pockets for pen/pencils or small items, they just have to float on the bottom of your bag. Also it is pretty large so it is a little difficult to get through rows of desks at school, you need to sit toward the front.

This is our second Driver 8. My daughter has beat up the first one for 3 years and finally has managed to rip a hole in it with some sharp object. There was no thought about going to a different manufacturer -JanSport makes the highest quality pack out there. We know from experience: most of the others we've owned never made it through the school year, the handle and/or the zippers wearing out with daily use. After 3 years, this Driver 8's handle and zippers are in great condition, and the pack probably would have gone longer had it not been subjected to that sharp, pointed thing which should probably have not gone in there....(ahem).

Anyway, I/we highly recommend JanSport in general and the Driver 8 in particular.

Purchased this rolling backpack after spending a few hours researching which one would serve my needs best and appeared to be the most durable yet economical.
